Plasma Tv Mount - tv wall mount, wall mount
I searched for a Flat Screen TV Wall Mount at my local stores and the lowest price I could find was $90 before tax. This seemed way overpriced for such a simple device, so after a little search on Amazon, I found this product. The product is sturdily constructed and it securely holds my 52" TV. While there is no tilt feature, I don't need one and so I am fine with it. In addition, the mount comes with an extra little bonus - a built-in level to ensure an even installation.
I am happy with this product and I recommend it to anyone who wants a low-priced, sturdy mount. VideoSecu Low Profile TV Wall Mount for Most 32" - 55" Plasma, LCD, LED, HDTV Flat Panel TV, Universal Wall Mounts Bracket ---Compatible with Sony Bravia, Samsung,LG, Haier, Panasonic, Vizio, Sharp AQUOS, Westinghouse, Pioneer, ProScan, RCA, Toshiba MF602B WA8
We're in earthquake country now, so a wall mount is a smart investment if you don't want your TV to fall over during a tremor. For the price... IT'S A STEAL! Very inexpensive, but extremely solid product. Can't believe how easy it was to install either, considering some companies charge $170 to mount a TV nowadays. All it takes is 4 (sizable) screws into your wall studs, 4 smaller screws into the VESA mount on your TV, two more to secure it once the bracket is hung, and that screen is up there SOLID. You'd be a fool not to jump on this if you're in the market for a wall mount.
This wall mount is sturdy and inexpensive, I was expecting the mount to be of low quality but actually, I'm very impressed! I went to go buy some different anchor screws but other than that, this is a great mount for the value, I give it 5 stars overall, great tilt feature as well. I would recommend this mount to anyone who is looking for a great quality, affordable mount.
Could not believe the construction of this really inexpensive wall mount the tilt feature has completely eliminated glare from the lighting in the room
The only negative would be for someone who doesn't do things for themselves you have to go out and buy larger more sturdy mollies(anchors) the ones supplied were kind of wimpy
The built in level was a great BIG PLUS even for someone like me who does everything myself GREAT PRICE GREAT PRODUCT!!!
I bought this wall mount for a Sony KDL-52XBR 52" flat panel TV. It was easy to install and is very sturdy when attached to wood wall studs. The tilt feature is great to get rid of any glare that may be present from the rear of your viewing room. Best of all is how inexpensive it is compared to other wall mounts I researched. Don't worry about hanging your expensive, large flat panel TV to this one, it'll hold it securely. The only problem experienced in this installation was tightening the bottom mount screws once you mount the TV in place. If you have a large arm, it won't fit between the TV and the wall. You'll need an off-set screwdriver to do it from the bottom OR get someone with a smaller arm (your girlfriend or wife) to tighten the screws. They don't have to be rock-solid tight, just tight enough to lock the bottom clamps in place.
This is a great mount. I got it attached to the wall easily and when I went to attach the parts to the TV - the 5 different sized screws provided were all too large to fit the back of the TV. I guess my TV is to blame since the mount does come with a number of different sizes, so this review is more of a warning that you will need to purchase additional screws(size M4) if you purchased a TCL 32in LCD, like me.
This mount worked great. Throw the brackets on the wall and level it. Attach the other to the back of the TV and there you have it. The only one thing I don't like is that my TV is 32 inches and that's the length of the mount. So basically it is a little more visible than I like it but it's advertised for 32 to 56 I believe - Tv Mount - Lcd Wall Mount - Tv Wall Mount - Wall Mount'

Lasermax - watch battery, lasermax
What can you say about a watch battery? I guess only that I'm amazed how long these little things last. I have a bunch of devices that use them and my only gripe is that they don't sell them in large packs (i.e. 6 or 8). Energizer 377BP Watch Battery
It's so easy to replace a watch battery, and for less money that it costs to have it done at the jewelry store. Just open the back of your watch, remove the battery, and check its size. (Remember to note which side, + or - is facing up; usually it's the +) Note that you can go online & do a Google to find equivilant sizes since different companies (Energizer, Duracell, etc.) sometimes assign different numbers to the same battery size. Wipe the battery surfaces off (the oil on your fingers can reduce the electrical conductivity), place it back in the watch, and close your watch back up again. Good as new!
Energizer just dont last! That little bunny is a farce and false advertising. Even when rarely used they simple don't last. I bought these to use in my Lasermax in my Beretta 92. I ONLY got 6 month of them just sitting virtually unused before they died. I re-ordered Duracell that I had used previously and THOSE lasted 2 YEARS!!! Thats 4X LONGER than Energizer!!! - Watch Battery - Watches - Lasermax'

Fm Transmitter - ipod car kit, fm transmitter
Over the years I've been through about 15 FM transmitters. This one is by far the best quality I've had. You may hear a little high pitched noise at high volumes, but that is a small price to pay for the amazing amount of clarity provided. The remote control is pretty flimsy and has to be held almost directly next to it to work but that's not the reason I purchased it so I was hardly disappointed. I really don't think you'll find a better product on the market. LCD Screen Display,New FM Transmitter/Car charger/Holder/Car Mount For all iP...
I bought this to replace my Griffin iTrip after it shorted out. I was worried about buying a different brand (or a non-brand, as a case seems to be), since the Griffin is able to be set to international frequencies (and I was never able to receive a clear signal without setting it below 88.1).
So far, however, the signal has been A LOT clearer at 88.1 than it ever was on my old transmitter. I live in Phoenix and I've had no trouble with signal interruptions so far; I even get a clear sound in parking garages and around strongly broadcast signals, like in shopping center parking lots. The sound quality is also pretty decent for an FM transmitter, especially one that cost less than $20 to buy and ship. I also love the cradle and the flexible neck that allows me to dock my iPod within easy reach.
The remote seems to be a bust, but I don't really care as I can't see a reason to use a remote when my iPod is docked right in front of me. Your mileage may vary, I suppose. And for all I know this might short out in a few months just like my Griffin did, but I'm holding out hope!
I obviously knew that for 11 bucks SOMETHING would be wrong with it. i read some positive reviews, and decided to give it a shot. BAD idea. It did however ship fast. I opened the box, and was surprised that the product actually seemed like decent quality. so i run to my car, and plug in the transmitter. First off..this thing is huge. It kind of gets in the way of the shift stick of the car. I plug in the transmitter, and it doesn't turn on. I had to push it in hard to finally turn on. I plug in my iPod, and the quality actually surprised me. Two minutes later..the transmitter just falls. I guess its just too heavy. I wasn't even driving, and the transmitter tilted. After driving for a couple of minutes, it is obvious the thing does NOT stay in place. Not only that, but it also broke my outlet!!!! Now i have to fix it and it cost more to fix it than what i spent on this worthless fm transmitter.
Audio is good, but it has MANY MANY flaws!!! i dont even know if i can get a refund now. stay away from this product and purchase a different one!!!
A great product. My other adapter was stolen and I didn't want to miss my favorite tunes so I purchased this to replace it. Wow! This is much better anyway. Easy to use, even includes a remote if that is important to you. Stays on station, doesn't drift like my previous one. i love it!
I like this device:
Nice:
- Cheap FM Transmitter
- Phone Charger
- Phone Holder
- Can be used with other devices
- Tested on iPhone 4 - like a charm
- and best of all, all at the same time - yes, you can charge and listen to music at the same time!
Cons:
-The stick to hold it is short, on my 95 camry, it had hard time using it and its pushing against my dashboard
- shakes a lot while driving
- seems to inter fer with Google maps GPS - the maps work, but the orientations easily gets out of sync, and keeps saying move the device in the figure (8) motion
- i used it with MapQuest - MapQuest did not seem to interfere - so not sure if its Google Maps, or the iPhone
- FM Transmitter is weak - it works, but not loud, and does not have much power. While driving during the city, about 90% of the time its clear, and maybe 10% or so not clear (has static) - so its not bad, unless you like your music flawless
- I dont think the holder will last - it looks cheap - but so far its holding, lets see for how long
- I think this is an iPhone issue, but I cannot hear the calls on the speaker - so its problematic if you need to remove it from the holder each time
- With a case on the iPhone4, its fit is tight in the holder
Trick to use it to charge and listen at the same time:
- Do not use the extra cable from the iPhone to the device, only use the charge cable!
- place the music on speaker mode, the connect the charge cable - and you are done - it charges AND music works from the same cable!
If you keep the extra cable on the top, the you wont hear a thing!
Why 4 star:
- static FM, not very loud voice
- cannot hear the calls on FM while driving (maybe an iPhone issue, not the device issue)
- cheap holder and stick very short
I have looked everywhere and tried all sorts of music transmitting solutions for my iPhone in my car. All have been disappointing. But this one works very well for my needs! It holds and charges my phone and the reception quality is great! i don't use the remote, but that isn't something that would keep me from buying it. I do wish the charging cord on it was longer, so that I could use it while talking on the phone, otherwise, I have no other complaints. It holds my phone steady in the holder and the music sounds great! - Iphone Fm Transmitter - Ipod Accessories - Fm Transmitter - Ipod Car Kit'

Over-the-head Headphones - over-the-head headphones, sony
I travel a great deal and have a drawer full of noise canceling headphones by Panasonic, Kensington, JVC and Sony. Each had limitations -- not enough high end, poor construction, poor noise reduction, or in the case of lesser Sony's I bought several months ago, pretty good sound, but rather inadequate ear cups and poor portability (they wouldn't fold up to occupy as little as possible space in my briefcase.)Always worried about losing or damaging something while traveling I did not go for the full kahuna and buy Bose.
So, having seen these around some local shops and taken a listen I bought the NC40 and immediately took them on a trip.
By and large they are fine. When turned on (don't even try to listen to them when off) the sound is rich and clean; lovely base and good high end, which is important to my tired ole ears. Plenty of mid-range. Nice volume. I'm not sure they are world beaters in terms of overall noise reduction, but they certainly take the edge off and from my same old seat near the rear of a Southwest jet, they provide a relaxing and easy to take listening experience. One WANTS to use this extremely comfortable headset, whether noise reduction is needed or not. I hear things I didn't know my MP3 decoder put in a file. Oh, I listen mainly to jazz and classical music.
Oh yes, they fold up neatly and I like the on-off switch/battery holder, which lives by itself on the connecting line and has an override button that works beautifully. Sony MDR-NC40 Noise Canceling Headphone (Black)
As a frequent business traveler, I was looking for some noise canceling headphones but did not want to spend the chunk of change on Bose. After reading some of the reviews on these Sony's here and other places, I decided to give them a shot. I'm glad I did! Now, I'm no audiophile, nor do I have much to compare these to from a noise canceling perspective, but they do their job well. Yes, you have to have them turned on for them to sound decent, but the battery life seems very good. I've made 3 trips to China and a few domestic trips with the original battery still in them. Probably 60 hours conservatively (I only use them on the planes). I can keep them on for a 13 hour flight with out any discomfort, and I am very pleased with the degree of noise canceling.
I find it funny when I read other people's reviews and they complain about the sound of these units with the power turned off. These units are noise canceling headphones. They were not meant to be "hi-end listen to all your music all the time type of headphones." There are tons of other headphones to choose from that will surpass the performance of the Sony MDR-NC40 for everyday use and for a lot less money.
The NC40 are a noise canceling headphones. They were meant to cut the constant drone of airplane noise or the constant sound you get when riding in a bus or a train... and they do work.
I guess what I can honestly say is if you travel 5 or 6 times a year on a plane then this is a great choice. I have not listened to the Bose models, but I can tell you this, no matter what I can afford, there is no way I could justify 3.5X the price for the Bose headphones to travel with a few times a year.
The NC20 sits on the ear, it does not cup the ear. You can still hear when people talk to you at normal levels. If you are dealing with a screaming baby behind you just crank up the volume of whatever you are listening to and it will drown out the unwanted sounds.
These are great if you use them for what they are intended. You can buy the NC40 here on Amazon and then get a set of Bose TriPort Headphones for regular every day listening and still be at less than 1/2 the price of the Quiet comfort headphones.
The bottom line is I would recommend the NC40 to anyone who travels, but not to some one who just wants headphones to use at home.
Sony Mdr-Nc40 Noise Canceling Headphone (Black)
As long time audiophile (30 years) I still find digital fiddling with music a little disconcerting, but these headphones do the job at the price point intended. Even though advertised "iPhone compatible" I was worried until the jack fit perfectly in the iPhone, a problem to date.
While some may scoff, I have never heard a set of speakers or headphones that didn't benefit from a "white noise break-in" which I will commence this evening. My initial impression bordered on 5 stars, but the extra bass bump with the noise cancelling on, dropped it down a star. I have been listening to my iPhone with the $100 in-the-ear-canal VModa earplugs and was concerned my high frequency hearing was deteriorating faster than I had thought. The VModa's must roll off at 12kHz...These Sony phones brought out crystaline delicate highs I haven't experienced for years. I suppose my old Sennheisers and Yamaha headsets were in need of replacement long ago...
I have tried the Bose noise cancelling phones and they did a very good job...of filtering out the music and feeling like a pair of socks were placed in my ears. I know there are many Bosse fans out there, but audio equipment has always been broken down into two major categories for me: Realism vs.Drama (Bose being dramatic, like the old floor standing speakers with the equalization box). I come from the Linn Sondek realism school, but that is a different story for a different time. Anyway, the Bose noise cancelling phones, were horrid, unmusical sound control devices. If I would have been forced to choose that day (at the Bose Store), I would have purchased the convential Bose headphones. I know little of the digital processing for noise cancelling save the generation of an inverse (out of phase) wave of the "detected noise" to cause cancellation. Automotive companies are/have experimented with this concept to eliminate exhaust system noise.
The Sony's are a bit bass heavy in the noise cancel mode without flattening out the highs however. Turning off the noise canceling removes the bassiness, but I can live with the fat bottom end as this is the more preferrable setting if again forced to choose. These phones image spectacularly and handle vocals with a smooth easy, effortless swweetness. You can actually understand the singer and what he/she is singing. Mind you, I still am getting used to the lossy MP3 encoding after years of analog addiction, but the Sony's for the price are a great buy. Note I am saying $100 is well spent.
After a few weeks of white nosie on these guys, I can bet they will get better. My acid test will be on my home system with a DMP label CD recording, the closest thing to analog available. To this date, no one understands digital recording and production like Tom Jung and Co. I will report back as I am fascinated to see if my $100 love affair lasts.

Vegetarian - raw food recipes, raw foods
Good recipes but some unconventional ingredients and tools are needed.
1. Coconut Meat + Ability to Cut Coconuts (required for many smoothies)
2. Blue green algae, agave, acai, ginger, goji berries, cacao nibs, tocotrienols, hemp protein, mesquite pod meal, maple powder, ancho chile powder, shoyu, lecithin (for nut milk drinks)
3. Soaked nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, macadamia, etc)
4. Tools: Dehydrator, Juicer (especially for vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, and ginger), Strong Blender (author uses Vita Mix)
There are very few recipes which do not require these ingredients and tools. Everyday Raw
I was very excited to get this book after owning RAW FOOD REAL WORLD.
While I was struck by some original recipes, I found myself a bit dissapointed. Overall I thought as if the book lacked a certain polish I expected. The food photos are ok (and a few confusing, sesame cashew dumplings- why is there another plate of untitled food in this photo?), the interior page colors were harsh, one recipe is not complete in the book (ice cream cone), several recipes were rehashed from RFRW, and I even found a exact quote about mangos from RWRF in this book again.
This is definitley not for those on a limited budget.
There are many out of the ordinary ingredients and large amounts used(some not completely raw either).
Prepare to use a lot of coconut meat, cashews and dehydration (one cracker recipe calls for 2-3 days of dehydration).
Good points - the price of the book, originality and taste of recipes -some simply wonderful(although he does hint they are not all his creations), lack of filler info (which is a major plus). Its straight up recipes. The font makes the recipes and ingredients easy to read. Most are also easy enough to make for everday(minus those needing dehydration).
I own several raw recipe books, and while this is in my top ten its not my absolute favorite. I do appreciate having a fresh new recipe book though and its good to see Matthew back on the scene, so maybe it will grow on me.
I received this book a few days ago and looked forward to making many of the recipes. I love gourmet raw food but don't have much time to prepare it, so this book seemed like a great idea.
So far, I have made the Triple C smoothie, the tortilla chips, the white grape and tomatillo gazpacho, and a variation of the fennel and orange salad. The items have all tasted good. If I had had every single ingredient on hand, they likely would have tasted excellent, but the reason I give only 4 stars is because some ingredients are not the most commonly available in a raw food kitchen. I am a raw foodist, so the ingredients I'm missing tend to be things like nutritional yeast, white pepper, chili powder, and maple syrup--all non-raw items. The recipes tasted fine without these ingredients, and I improvised with ones I had on hand, but some hard core raw foodists might take issue with the frequent use of non-raw items.
I appreciate that this book makes raw food accessible to less hard core raw foodists, though. Most vegan kitchens would contain at least maple syrup, nutritional yeast and chili powder. The only other reason for the 4-star instead of 5-star rating is that some of the recipes still take a long time to prepare. I spent about an hour and a 1/2 in the kitchen yesterday, not counting 24 hours of dehydrating time for the tortilla chips. It's faster and tastier than many raw food books but definitely not near-instantaneous food prep unless you just happen to have all the ingredients pre-chopped and on-hand.
And this is what other people actually do?
You should know: you will need a Vitamix for most of the recipes and a dehydrator for a good chunk. For those recipes that you will need a vitamix for you could probably substitute a regular blender- mine usually works pretty well- but not for everything (goji berries, for example, don't blitz that well at regular speeds). For those recipes that require a dehydrator, you're going to need to plan ahead as many of the recipes would have you dehydrate for a day or more- seriously. These are not things that you're going to be inspired to make and eat quickly. For me, that's a big part of my everyday life.
I will say that the smoothie, salad, sauce and soup sections had recipes that 1) didn't require a lot of dehydration and 2) were relatively quick to prepare. But that's not what I'm going to eat those exclusively on a regular basis. Also, I agree with another reviewer: some of these recipes will be ridiculously expensive to prepare, particularly the Maca-Cacao Truffles. Two cups of Maca? Really???
There are some interesting flavor combinations, but it's very much a jumping off point. I wouldn't even use this as a starter uncookbook- just for the occasional inspiration (and there are better sources for those).
Matthew Kenney is a raw food culinary genious. This book is fantastic! I have made a few recipes already and am completely impressed. The raw chocolate chips and chocolate chip cookies are fabulous raw, I'm waiting for them in my dehydrator now....
I hope Matthew will continue to produce such great recipes and that he will share them with us in another cook book.
My only complaint is that on page 134, the ice cream cones have the directions for the recipe above them. The ingredients are correct, just not the directions. I called the publisher and she emailed me the correct instructions within 24 hours. I just printed it off and taped it in my book over the incorrect instructions. I'm excited to try them too.
This is my first official review. I was moved to write it after owning my copy of Everyday Raw for only a week. I have moved through each chapter, trying my hand at many of the innovative and simple to prepare recipes. I have many (really...many) Raw food books but this one just blows me away. Each dish is unique, flavorful and delicious. I could never have believed - raw tofu scramble, chili & blueberry pancakes? Genius. This book will not disappoint.
Thank you Mathew Kenny for bring something new and wonderful to the world of Raw food. - Raw Food Recipes - Raw Foods - Vegan - Raw Vegan'

Small Digital Camera
I purchased this camera to give to my 6 year old to take pictures on the trip. After reading reviews thought that although light weight it would be perfect for her first big girl camera. It was such a HUGE disappointment for both her and I. The buttons did not respond for her when pushed, the camera was difficult to change modes between reviewing pictures, turning on and off, and deleting , and would often get stuck in a mode and the only way to get it out of mode of reviewing or deleting was to open battery compartment to stop power. at any price this camera was a waste of time!!!!! Polaroid CAA-300CC 3MP CMOS Digital Camera with 1.8-Inch LCD Display (Coral)
This camera is horrible in every aspect. The flash is just a light you toggle on and off. When you snap a picture, it takes about a full second before the picture is actually taken, which makes it difficult for a child's first 'real' camera. The preview window was also horrible quality. I didn't expect the greatest camera for this price point, but this is unusable.
I purchased this product with the understanding that it was a C-Mos memory device and needed no additional memory card. This is incorrect, if not misleading. The device will not function without a memory card!
I purchased this item thinking it would be cute, easy to carry and take the pictures I wanted so desperately to capture of my toddling sons. Well it is cute, light weight and easy to carry but the picture quality is fuzzy at best. It just didn't take the quality photos I had hoped. This would be a neat gift though for a younger kid or preteen learning to use and care for a digital camera.'

Cordless Telephone - cordless telephones, cordless phone
We got this phone specifically because we needed an expandable system that didn't have an answering machine. Voice mail is included in our phone company bundle, so we were unwilling to pay the extra cost for an answering machine. This phone is very easy to work with, very intuitive both in terms of operation and menu access. The phone feel very solid, though we've only had it for two weeks now. But after trying V-Tech, GE and UNIDEN, this seems to be the most physically resilient of them all.
But the #1 feature of this phone - the clarity. With both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz phones, we had a lot of interference and a lot of static. With this phone, I can walk to any part of the house - even a few houses down, and still hear just as well as if I were talking on a wired phone.
I can recommend this system whole-heartedly - ignore the 3-star review of this product, as it specifically states the reason for the 3 stars is the lack of an answering system. As mentioned above, that's the very reason I bought this phone. AT&T makes another model WITH and answering system, so if that's what you need, get that one. But if, like me, you have no use for it, you will be very happy with this phone. AT&T DECT 6.0 Black/Silver Digital Dual Handset Cordless Telephone (CL81209)
We've had the phone about a month, having chosen it after reading reviews here and on [...]. I'm pleased, as sound quality and range are vastly better than older phones. Haven't run out of battery yet, but we keep it in the cradle. Another plus: despite the large buttons, this thing actually looks pretty good in a room. One minus: the thin shape makes it extremely hard to cradle between your neck and shoulder; you really need to keep this in your hand, especially as there's no jack for a headset. But, hey, it's fifty bucks for two phones (maybe cheaper by the time you read this), and they they work. No complaining.
After having the phone for less the 90 days, one of the two handsets quit working. There was not anything on the phone, not a battery indicator, not a time, not a date, and not a backlight. Receiving it for a Christmas present I did not have a receipt, but filled out the warranty online to ensure warranty service.
Calling AT&T to see about a replacement under warranty they proceeded to do some troubleshooting, steps I had already taken, and the result was the same nothing on the phone. When asked when a replacement was going to be sent out, they said that a receipt was needed. After explaining how I never received a receipt they said they would not be able to send out a replacement handset. They did have the registration of the product, but that was not going to cover the warranty.
In the past there have been issues with other products from other companies, missing game pieces, parts broken on an item, non-working products, stripped screws, etc., and each and every company immediately apologized and sent out a replacement. In every case the company did not even require the old one, which I would have been happy to send back.
When attempting to take it to the store where it was purchased, the store proceeded to inform me that AT&T is the worst company for returns. They said that AT&T is very particular when it comes to a receipt, and will not stand by their products.
In my opinion AT&T is not a company that cares about products, service, or its customers. It cares only about company policy.
The system was great for 16 months; but last week, the base unit ceased to recharge the phone on its cradle.
As a short-term solution, I ordered a new handset, figuring to use the new phone in place of the one on the base unit. Today, I discovered that the BASE UNIT is no longer usable...so I had to reorder the whole set again...after spending $15 on a new handset last week.
The price to try to fix the problem plus having to order the whole new set today...about $61...hardly worth spending over $100 in 16 months for the same set of phones.
Let me preface this by saying I hardly use my home phone, but I did port my home phone number over to a VoIP service for occasional use. My old cordless phones weren't holding a charge anymore so I picked up a Panasonic KX-TG9333 for a good price and was impressed with its feature set. Well - I had constant problems with it losing its connection to the base. Apparently I'm not the only one with that problem as it is WIDELY documented. I promptly returned it.
That led me on a hunt to find a good replacement. This AT&T DECT 6.0 set was consistently rated very highly by all reviewers on Amazon so I figured they had to be right - and they were!
Pros:
- EXCELLENT sound quality, the best I've had on a cordless phone
- Clear LCD, with battery and time indicators
- Phonebook links up with the caller ID to display "Mom Cell" if you have her number stored, rather than "Wireless Caller" and her number
- Volume is very good, and does not get distorted at higher volumes
- Easy to use
- Voicemail waiting indicator light on base, and a visual notification on the LCD on the handsets
- Decent battery life (a proprietary Ni-Mh battery, rather than the older and obselete Ni-Cd battery pack)
Cons:
- The LED on the handsets only light up when they charge, they don't notify you of voicemail
- No headset jack
That's about it. I have to stress that sound quality is VERY VERY GOOD, and I'm on a VoIP line, if you're on a traditional landline it would be even better! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This was exactly what I was looking for. Like I said, I don't use my house phone very often but when I do I want it to sound good and work well.. This is exactly what this AT&T set does.
I don't think I've ever had an AT&T cordless phone set (and I've had many) but believe me, if they keep making 'em like this, my next one will be AT&T too! - Cordless Telephones - Cordless Phone - Cordless Telephone - Att'

Simple installation, just connect to the DVR with the supplied USB cable, plug it in and follow the on-screen directions. It's easy to move recordings back and forth or to view directly from the hard drive. You can continue to watch TV while the recordings are being transferred. A neat thing is that you can use the external drive with any other Dish DVR you may have. You can record on your TV, connect the drive to the kids DVR and they can watch on their TV. Just wanted to let potential buyers know that you can also use Wd My book Essential for pc as a dvr expander for Dish vip 722. I researched this and had difficulty finding an answer so I decided to hook mine up and see. The Dish dvr prompts you to reformat the external hard drive and it was a piece of cake! Completely compatible with dish. We got 1TB for 109.00!
Got this to increase the storage of a Dish network DVR. Plugged in this hard drive into the DVR, activated the USB port through Dish and everything worked smoothly. Since then I have used this drive with no problems to archive tv shows from the DVR and watch them later. Now if only the Dish network user interface to the hard drive was better....
I did a ton of research for a good week before buying a dvr expander.Based on the reviews I decided to go with western digital because of the positive feedback and I also have a passport hard drive with them. I have a scientific Atlanta 8300HD and it was not compatible. I didnt understand why it wasnt working. I called cable-vision and they have no idea what to do.I also called western digital who really need to hire people who arent lazy and can understand English a little better. Western digital basically wrote it off as the hard drive not working and they were going to send me a new one. I knew that wasnt the case and I asked about it being USB rather then ESATA and he confirmed this was the problem. so I basically diagnosed the issue no thanks to western digital or cable-vision. thank god I have half of a brain that I realized that on my own. I just purchased the correct one and will be sending this back. so,if you have a scientific Atlanta 8300HD make sure it is ESATA and not USB. Western Digital have two versions.USB version will not work with scientific Atlanta 8300HD! I wish someone wrote a review like this to save me the trouble of buying the wrong thing :(
I had to return my DishNetwork DVR because of a malfunctioning HDMI output. I had saved several years worth of children's shows (not to mention some other programming) which the kids watch again and again. All of this would be lost when I returned the unit for a replacement. This expansion hard drive allowed me save all my recorded shows and later transfer them to the new device. The capacity is ample for many many hours of programming. In the past I have also had DVR fail after a few years with the loss of all programming. Treasured recordings could be moved to this drive which presumably would survive a DVR failure. This will also expand the memory capacity of the DVR, although so far that has not been an issue for me.
A couple of things to note, however:
1. DishNetwork charges a $40 "activation" fee per account, over and above the cost of the drive.
2. The drive will not work with a computer so you can only watch the shows on a "activated" DishNetwork DVR.
3. This is not a back-up device, in the sense that recordings can only reside in one place, i.e. either the DVR or this drive, not both. They are physically moved from the DVR's drive when you save them to the Western Digital and disappear from the My Recordings List. That said, they do appear in the My Media menu and can be played from the WD without having to move them back.
I bought this to expand the storage capacity on my Dish HD-DVR. It works as advertised and is easy to set up. I haven't been able to fill it up yet. I have 105 recorded HD events stored on it and still have 20% of the drive available.
This works the way it should. When I plugged it in and attached the USB cable to my Dish 722 DVR receiver, the drive was instantly recognized. I selected the option to format it to work with the dish receiver and that was it. I am now able to archive movies to this drive, watch movies directly from the drive or, if I wish, move them back to the Dish DVR.
Once it is formatted to work with the Dish DVR it won't work with a computer, but that's not a problem.
It's silly not have one of these, isn't it?
I have 3 external hard drives recording dish HD programs on 3 different TV's.. This hard drive has 1 big advantage and 1 moderate disadvantage (depending on your needs).
The advantage is the ability to move your hard drive to any dish receiver and still have playback capability (This is not true for any other hard drive I'm aware of).
The disadvantage is cost. I have bought a 1 tb hard drive for approx. the same money (100 bucks). This drive is almost the same price for half the space. In my opinion this advantage overrides the cost but that choice ultimately resides with you. Good Luck! - Dish - Dish Network'

Wheel Mice - logitech, computer accessories
I picked up this mouse for about $10 and I've been pleased with its performance. Here's the rundown:
PROS:
* Price
* Optical sensor - movement is very fluid on a Mac
* Easy to hold in your hand
CONS:
* It doesn't include some of the bells and whistles that most people have come to expect of mice.
* It has a very long cord, which I don't quite understand. Most people have their mouse next to their computer, so having a long cord doesn't make sense.
SUMMARY: The buttons click well, the scroll button is very accurate, and the optical sensor is right on. For $10, you have no reason to complain about the lack of bells and whistles. If you're looking for a basic mouse and you just need something to work well out of the box, then this mouse is for you. If you're looking to spend more money on something that includes more functionality, then look elsewhere.
PC/MAC COMPATIBILITY: I'm running OS X 10.3.9 on a 800mhz iMac and both buttons and the scroll wheel behave exactly like they would on a PC with no downloads. Logitech PS/2 Optical Wheel Mouse
I just wanted a cheap, basic, regular-sized PS/2 mouse to keep my USB ports free, and this fits the bill perfectly.
Have had no problems since installing it and would recommend it to anyone else looking for a mouse to be, well, a mouse.
I just bought this mouse about 2 weeks ago. I found that using it without a mouse pad, the cursor was jumping all over the place. Very frustrating! I decided to try using a mouse pad and, what do ya know! It works perfectly!
I purchased this mouse as a gift for friends to replace their defunct trackball mouse. (Actually, it was a gift for me, too, because I couldn't stand to use their computer with that old mouse!) They are delighted with it and can't imagine how they lived without it for so long. I was thrilled with the great price and exceptionally fast delivery.
I bought this optical mouse back in February 2010 after an earlier failed attempt to replace a decade old (yes, that old!) trackball mouse. The first mouse I bought, the WM400 Illuminated USB Optical Wheel Mouse PINK/GREY, turned out to be complete and utter crap. This mouse from Logitech worked like a charm. I'm eight months in after having purchased it and there have been no problems so far.
The Logitech optical mouse is terrific. A computer technician who was working on my computer suggested that I purchase one because my old mouse wasn't working right. Wow, I didn't realize how bad my old one was until I started to use this optical mouse. The Logitech mouse is very is easy to install and it is very responsive, the scrolling feature works especially well. I like it so much; I purchased one for my husband's laptop. We both have older computers, so prefer to keep our USB ports available for other devices. If you're looking for a new, wired, mouse at a reasonable price, look no further.
This mouse is a piece of junk. Think it may be due to the optical sensor being cheap. My other optical mouse tracks without issue on my desk, but this mouse refuses to keep tracking properly on the dull dark surface. If I stick paper or something under it, it will track though. My other mouse is a cheap Microsoft. Not that the brand is better, just my original mouse works like a champ on any surface and was cheap aswell. - Optical Mouse - Oem - Computer Accessories - Logitech'

Ti-84 Plus Silver Edition - ti-84 plus silver edition, texas instruments
I have owned the TI 82 and TI 83S Silver Plus before this. TheTI 84 is another wonderful product from Texas Instruments for the student in high School or College student. Any complaints about speed is irrelevant. I personally found the TI 84 very easy to read, fast, nice case-I like it better the TI 83 Silver case-and it included some programs that were not on the TI 83. It is supposed to have other stuff that the TI 83 did not have but I did not notice this. This is because I bought it to assist me in Algebra, trig and etc. For the money it is a great investment and a very useful tool. I will say that one area I noticed a great difference in was viewing the window. For me, (and I wear bi-focals) the TI 84 was noticeable in its clearer image and etc. Hope this is helpfu. -Dave Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Graphing Calculator
Got this for my son to replace a lost TI-83plus.
Some nice improvements but a much better value to get the standard edition instead of the silver edition. Silver addition provides a few additional preloaded programs and is great if you are not price sensitive.
Retailers are very competitive with the standard edition and are not discounting the silver edition as heavily.
I wasn't price sensitive so I dropped some additional cash for a slightly better product.
Recommendation: If you want bang for the buck, stick with the standard edition. If price doesn't matter, the silver edition does the trick
The TI-84 Plus Silver Edition is a powerful calculator with almost every function that one could desire, a powerful programming environment, and a well-organized keyboard.
On the other hand, the calculator-computer interface is slow and the PC software is limited and poorly documented. One can transfer programs from the calculator to the computer or vice versa, but this capability is not documented in the user manual. I would like to be able to edit a calculator program on the computer, but it appears that this is not possible.
I also have one complaint with the programming environment-- There should be a "break" or "done" command to exit from a loop without using a goto.
Based on my current knowledge, I would rate this product at 4 stars rather than 3 (Amazon does not permit me to change this).
Dr. Phillip M. Feldman
As a math teacher, I LOVE this calculator better than any of the other graphing calculators and would recommend it as a great high school or college calculator. It has the capability of any other calculator (even the advanced stuff if you want to take the time to learn how). The basic stuff is EASY to get to and quite user friendly. You can use it on the ACT and SAT (and the AP calculus exam) with no problems. I have also used and taught with the TI-82, TI-83, TI-92, and some of the HP calculators (I really struggle with the HP notation), but this calculator is far and away the very best one!
This is a great tool. It is complicated and I highly recommend getting the two "Dummies" Guides. But, when you learn how to use it, this is an amazing tool. I really liked the Study Cards, and use this feature often to create new stacks. Used this for Algebra II and Chemistry, and it was the most important study tool for Chemistry. The TI website offeres quite a few excellent study stacks, and creating your own is pretty easy. Bummer that the TI-83 doesn't have a USB port, so that version cannot download new programs. On the TI website there are a lot of "manuals" in PDF form. From what I understand, this calculator is allowed in most testing scenarios, where the Titanium is banned. Spend the extra money and get the TI-84 silver plus!
I bought this one after my 83+ Silver decided to stop working and I use it in my AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C classes. It is very useful if you know how to use it. It does advanced things like definite integrals or derivative graphs. PolySimult is a high schoolers best friend: it factors any polynomial. The key commands for these advanced features can be somewhat specialized but my teacher teaches how to use them in class and once you know it you will love the calculator even more. In short it has a LOT to offer, you just have to figure it out. Try pushing random buttons and see what happens and maybe you'll discover a cool new function.
I am 13 years old and already have the TI 84 silver Edition Graphing Calculator because I am in accelerated math. It is a great calculator and is very user friendly even to a 13 year old. There are so many applications on this calculator besides a ton a math things including a couple fun games, a periodic table good for advanced sciences, you can make study cards, type access the calculator with your computer, download games and little pictures for your start up screen, have a daily calender, organizer and know the date and time, you can do a plethora of things of on this fantastic piece of machinery. When you first get this calculator before using it I recommend you skim through the owners manual which is extremly helpful. Some things are a bit complicated but ones you get it everything is reliable and not prone to goofing up. The batteries last a long time too. I have had it and used it almost everyday in math class since the beginning of school. This calculator is so cool, and works well plus if you don't like the the cream or grey color you can get snap plates and stickers to cover it made specially by Texas Insturments. Mine came in pink, I know someone with blue and orange and blue and green snaplates,it is so snazzy and can be a fun fashion statement too. Many teachers recommend this calculator more then others because of the memory, the easy access, and the good applications and graphing for many classes, not just math. The ergonomics a great to, it doesn't just look like box and is not two heavy and has an impact resistent case so if you drop it just relax! I highly recommend this tool, it works and functions well, and I am only 13! - Calculator - Ti-84 Plus Silver Edition - Texas Instruments - Mathematics'

Arts And Crafts - chuck, rotary tool accessories
It really works and is by far the most valuable accessory for the Dremel. It closes down to near 0 for the smallest of drill bits (much smaller than a sewing needle) yet still holds larger bits than the "large" hex collet. It is well made and durable, withstanding everything from concrete and tile dust to oily metal shavings. It must be tightened with considerable force to resist slipping under heavy use but that's to be expected. Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck
This chuck (which I consider to be essential) greatly enhances the convenience of any Dremel. You might be tempted to save the old collet device this chuck replaces, but before long you will discard it as useless trash. I do a lot of really miniature work and I find the chuck to be great for holding things as small as a 1/64th inch drill. I have one on each of my 3 Dremels.
I don't understand why Dremel doesn't include this great little chuck as a standard accessory with all their Multi-Tools. It is so much easier, faster and less frustrating than fumbling with the tiny collar and wrench that the tools come equipped with. If you change bits on your Dremel often, as most users do, you will quickly come to appreciate the 4486. As for me, the 4486 is comparable to the Flex-Shaft as one of the single most worthwhile attachments available for adding versatility and conveience.
An adjustable drill chuck for the Dremel power tool is a brilliant concept. Unfortunately the manufacturing precision is less than brilliant. I purchased the chuck for diamond drilling my wife's quartz crystals and gem stones in a water bath. The chuck jaws are eccentric (out of true) and a 1 mm diamond drill tip actually moves in a noticeably larger circle. This makes it difficult to start the drill in a hard surface and also causes water to be splashed about when drilling. I have owned large drill presses which are much closer to being true than this chuck. It might work OK for softer materials but I don't understand why it couldn't have been manufactured true in the first place.
While I do like the conevience of the chuck, it does not rotate 100% true. This causes a very slight wobble at the tip of any drill bit. I have tried 2 different chucks, but both yield the same results. I only use the chuck when absolute precision isn't required.
I consider the MultiPro chuck to be the best accessory ever made for the Dremel tool. When you're doing work that requires constant bit changes, the changing of collets to fit a bit of a particular diameter becomes a real frustration, and wastes time. So, needless to say, an adjustable chuck is a real boon for these kinds of jobs. Just loosen it to remove one bit, pop in another, tighten, and vwah-lah! The collet nut and collets become pretty much obsolete. The chuck may seem somewhat pricey, but when you consider the time you'll save and the convenience you'll enjoy, it's well worth the extra investment.`Late
This is a really nice idea from Dremel that is supposed to make changing bits a lot faster. And that it does. Plus it is very well made. However, I stopped using it as no matter how hard you tighten it, it loosens up and the bit begins to wobble (not a good thing at 5000 rpm). Then you have to stop and retighten. So it's too much of a bother. I do not recommend this item.
Several other reviewers have commented on the tendency of this keyless chuck to wobble and loosen in use. In some 20 years of use of this accessory, I've also found this to be the case (the tool bit works loose during use about 1/3 of the time), but have also found that this is particularly dangerous at high tool speeds. I recently had the keyless chuck vibrate loose while using a cut-off disk. Despite the fact that I felt a vibration in the tool and hurriedly moved to shut it down, by the time I did so, the mandrel had walked its way nearly fully out of the chuck, bent sharply sideways, but luckily stayed stuck in the chuck jaws long enough for me to shut down the tool. Despite the fact that cut-off wheels are extemely light, the mandrel was dramatically bent to some 30 degrees. I can barely imagine at what velocity the mandrel would have shot off had it not snagged in the chuck jaws. Lightweight but high velocity objects can cause severe injury, so if you intend to use this thing, I recommend that you save it only for low-speed applications. Stick to the collet chucks for high speeds -- I personally have never, in some 20 years, seen one of these get loose while working with the Dremel.
I rarely use the standard collet that comes with the tool any more, after buying this item. No more looking for a wrench (which I invariably loose), etc. Beware, though: I took for granted that it would be compatible with my chainsaw charpening attachment. It is not. If you use other attachments, don't expect to be able to use this at the same time. If you don't use other attachments...well...go on to the next review. Well worth the buy, in my opinion - Chuck - Hobby Tool - Rotary Tool Accessories - Tools'

Highly Recommended - snow thrower, snow throwers
So I ordered this model even though it had no reviews at the time. I was looking at the comparable Toro and Snowjoe models, but couldn't bring myself to buy either since there were so many negative reviews in addition to the positive ones.
I went with the Greenworks for two reasons:
1) The 4-year Warranty
2) The 20" width
Well, let me say that so far I feel I absolutely made the right choice.
The unit looks great, and seems to be built with very high quality parts.
How it was packaged was also excellent. There's no way this baby's going to get damaged in delivery like I heard about with the competitors.
The only negative was that Greenworks actually went overboard with their packing... They actually put the unit together by screwing directly through the plastic covers that go on the parts so I couldn't get all the plastic off the pieces without taking some pieces apart.
I see this as no big deal as again it is their effort to make sure everything is protected for delivery but just letting everyone know about it.
Once built (very easy to do I might add), the machine is very easy to maneuver since it has quite large rubber wheels. I know there have been negative reviews about the Toro due to the cheap tiny wheels. No issue here!
The handle is adjustable to 3 levels (I'm 6'2") and I was able to make it comfortable for my height.
Well I had to wait a week until the snow came, but come it sure did! I live in northeast Ohio, so the last few days have been a downpouring of the white stuff.
I had purchased 2 50-foot outdoor cords rated at 13 amp (this unit is 12 so we're fine).
I also purchased some Snow Jet non-stick coating spray and used it per the directions prior to the first use. I had read about it as a way to avoid the snow clogging in the thrower or chute while working.
The first time I used this thrower, I noticed how easily it moved the snow. The chute is very easy to adjust in direction, and it easily shoots at leat 6-10 feet so you're able to make sure you don't shoot snow over an area you've already worked on.
Once I got used to it, I was able to do the whole driveway and walk in 15 minutes the second time. Piece of cake!
The snow was soft the first time but a mixture of wet snow and ice the second time. This made no difference it worked just as well. It also worked perfectly on the slush at the bottom of the driveway where the street plows make that big mess all the time.
The blades are steel covered with rubber, and it really hugs the ground and pulls the snow off.
I'm not going to say it will get you to bare ground in all spots, but it sure tries and it's more than good enough to get your vehicles in and out which is the main purpose right?
I mean if you want to get the bottom layer of ice completely off you'll need rock salt and a shovel anyway.
This thing did get some of the ice off, but I didn't want to push too hard to get it to do that and possibly damage the blades.
Bottom line is that I got this for $200 on Amazon and I already feel it's my top purchase of the year. I had a Snowjoe 12" snowbroom last year and it broke, then I had to do the old shovel routine. It would take me at least 2 hours to do my driveway and walk last year.
Now, with twice having at least 6 inches of snow on the driveway, I was done in 15 minutes and back in the warm house.
As long as the wind was in my favor, I didn't get too much snow on me and certainly saved my back.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with this one. I only hope its longevity matches its performance so far, but with a 4-year warranty, I can afford to take that chance.
It didn't hurt that Amazon gave me free shipping and it showed up the NEXT DAY!
I did not pay for overnight and I got this the next day after I ordered it. I still don't know how that was possible but I'm not complaining! Greenworks 26032 20-Inch 12 Amp Electric Snow Thrower
We ordered this on a Saturday and it arrived the following Wednesday. Two days later we are in the midst of a 20inch snowfall/blizzard. This machine works like a charm. We chose it for the 4 year warranty. We see now that it's a very capable machine and perfect for an old-fashioned Minnesota blizzard. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble and can be used even by someone with severe back and neck limitations. Highly recommended!!
I will start by saying I am a female and the primary user of this snow blower. I had an OLD Toro that I always fought with to start because either my arm isn't long enough or I just don't have the upper body strength to start the thing. I wanted something easy for me to start and that would help me through a Cleveland (Ohio) winter. After looking at several models - the price, size of the deck and warranty sold me on this machine.
When the machine arrived, I was able to carry it into my house to assemble it (so the machine is pretty light). I think it took me longer to unpack the machine than it did to put it together. After assembling, I was able to lift the machine back up and move it to it's spot in the garage.
When we got our first snow, I thought to put this machine into action. It took some getting used to on not to trip/unplug the cord, but I think I finally got that part down (I knew it had a cord when I ordered it, so I'm not rating this snow thrower any less because my clumsy behavior). As promised, it chewed through the snow easily! It's about as loud as a shop vac, so I don't feel TOO terrible using it at 6:00am because I doubt it'll wake my neighbors. It's easy to push and maneuver. I am overall very happy with the machine!!
I got this before the snow,so I couldn't review it.Now that we did get a few inches of snow,I can say it works very well.Throws the snow far,its more quiet then my vacuum cleaner, was packed great, all bubble wrapped,no way any thing could get scratched. Not much to put it together.I think this will be MUCH better then the shovel, and plus the gas ones are 400 to 600 just for a decent one, there is no messing with fuel,or pull starting.I'm happy!!
