Headphone Splitter - belkin, audio splitter

I probably would have given this item a 5 star review. It works fine and seems to be built well. But there was a slip of paper inside the package that you wouldn't see until you purchased and opened the item. The paper is a mixture of Chinese and English writing warning of hazardous substances found in this item. In this case, the box for Lead is marked.

Now if I had known this has lead in it, I would have looked for a different item. I doubt that even Amazon is aware. My biggest concern is that a parent bought this item for their child (aren't lots of kids using iPods?) and threw the packaging away at Christmas without looking at it. I kept the paper in case Amazon needs to contact me and take a look at it. Belkin F8V234-WHT-APL Headphone Splitter

Have you been with your IPod, or mp3 player, experiencing great music or maybe watching a movie and someone appears and ask you what is that your enjoying so much, and although you want to earbud that someone you can't because there is only a pair of headphone and you don't want to miss it? Well that problem is solved with this simple gadget. You just connect two headphones and you and that someone can experience the same thing simultaneously. It is really inexpensive and it does not harm the quality of the music or whatever is it your using your mp3 player for. So it is highly recommended...

it's stable and when you plug your earphone in it won't come out easily which is good and the sound come from the ipod is really good~~ just prefect !! I can share my music with my friend when ever I want

This audio splitter is great. Not only is it white, which in my opinion looks better, and is more "stylish" compared with the generic Black kind. The connectors are also gold plated, though product specs say it is nickel plated, making the audio loss a minimum. I personally bought 3 of these, which I connected into one audio output from my computer resulting in making my one audio output into 4. These splitters work great, since the two female connectors are separate, it doesn't interfere with how big the audio plug is. (for those 3.5mm plugs that are so fat, you have to squeeze to fit other plugs in) I havn't had any problems with these, no audio loss, sound isnt cracking like other splitters. Personally, from my experience these are cheaper in price, but better in quality. Two thumbs up.

Anyone running Windows 7 can use this splitter to loop a male/male 3.5mm cable back into the computer's microphone jack to record live audio. Also, I've seen the lead warnings and decided to test the splitter with a lead test kit. Both the exposed metal and the white plastic were tested and came up clean. No lead detected. I'll see if I can post some pics under "customer images".

Great product. Buy with confidence.

Product works exactly as expected. I am using three (L/R, C/Sub, Rear L/R) of these to seperate the sound out of my PC between my 5.1 surround sound and my 5.1 surround headphones. The split signal sounds great coming out of either the system or the headphones.

Yes, I drive students. Yes, they are constantly leaning out of their seat to hear an mp3 player through someone else earphones. That had to stop for safety reasons. This little, inexpensive item, saved a lot of write ups.

They now, just borrow one from me, as they get on the bus, and can use their OWN earphones. No more leaning out of the seats. - Cables - Belkin - Audio Splitter - Headphones'

Bicycle Bag - seat bag, bike bag

This item is poorly made. I got it out of the package and then went to the garage to put it on my bike and when I went to put it on it was already ripped in two places. CHEAP it worth it to pay a little extra for something other then this!! M-Wave Bicycle Saddle Bag (Small)

I know it is the small size, but it is SMALL. But that is exactly what I wanted, just something to hold my keys and cell phone.

Product Features says "Reflective tape on sides" which is untrue, there is a small strip of it on the rear of the bag though.

It actually looks pretty cool when mounted on my Schwinn Hybrid.

The rear velcro straps need to be about an inch longer for my install though, so 4 stars instead of 5.

The bag is very secure on the bike, no worries there. The small size can basically fit what ever you were going to put in your pockets. Looks fine, the velcro is covered, so it does not look ugly. Looks very subtle under the seat. However the logo was not stamped on mine right, it is crooked and off center. Either way your better off coloring it in black with a sharpie or putting a sticker on it. Another thing to consider is that the zipper does not glide at all, so you have to take your time with it. Overall it gets the job done, with the least money possible spent.

This is a very good product. I bought the "Small" size and it fits right below my saddle. It attaches. to the seat post and to the bottom of the saddle. To give you an idea of what it carries for me: 1 replacemente tube, 3 tire levers, 1 Glue/Patches kit, my ID and insurance card, money, my Chapstick and my Cellphone.

It fits beautifully under the seat and attaches securely in two places. This bag is small so don't think you can put your lunch or even a small water bottle in there. You can't. You can't easily reach it while riding anyway so you wouldn't want to put a water bottle there. Plus, that is what water bottle holders are for. It does hold my iphone, thin wallet, and keys though. That's about all it can take.

Thats really all I ever carry while bike riding anyway so its perfect for me. If you are thinking of holding more or bigger items, then pass on this one. It is nicely made with a very secure zipper, is really very subtle and not even noticeable when I am sitting on the bike, and I don't worry at all about losing anything in my pockets anymore. Its a nicely made little bike bag. For 6 bucks, that's all that I wanted and the deal of the day.

I guess you could say "you get what you pay for" but within a month of buying this item, the bag started to rip apart from the straps attaching it to the seat rails. Spend the extra money and get something that will last.

This product is smaller than I had expected... Judged from what the pouch can hold in the description above doesn't give any specifics about its dimensions. it really isn't a "bag" like it says in the title but more like the size of an pouch. The M-Wave saddle bag is good enough to hold more than a couple of small tools; like a spoke adjuster and mini alan wrenches, but for a phone... it all depends on the size of your phone and how much you are willing to put in the pouch. It's cheep and has mid range qualities, I still recommended it for carrying tools when you need to quickly adjust your bike.

The seller didn't provide the measures, only says "small". This item seems to be a little big in the picture, but it's really too small! If you want to put inside a blackerry forget it!! Cell phone, home and car keys, ID, and some money forget don't buy this.

The seller says "The zippered compartment ensures your items are secure while reflective tape helps keep you safe!" It's a lie because it doesn't have any reflective tape on the sides. - Bike Bag - Seat Bag - Bicycle Bag - Cycling'

Scientific Calculator

I am on my third TI-83+ (my first two were stolen). My brother owns an 84, and I can tell you that it offers nothing that the 83 doesn't have. Many of the preloaded apps are useless (an address book? please!), and take up so much space that the memory increase is worthless. The 84 is a continuation of TI's tendency to offer huge amounts of style with little or no substance. I prefer the 83 for its streamlined design. The one improvement is that the slip cover on the 84 does not become loose with a great deal of use, which is a problem I have encountered with my three 83s. It looks as though the USB connectivity could be a plus (for the 83, you had to buy a separate connectivity kit to connect to a PC), however, most buyers will not need to connect their calculator to their PC. Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator

The new TI-84 Plus is a wonderful calculator. If anybody has had the TI-83 or 83 Plus, they know how easy and reliable it is. The 84 Plus is an all-around imprivement on the older version and even worth the additional $15-$20. I have had it since school started and have noticed than any problem I enter, it is solved immediately upon pressing enter, or solve. The speed is a great improvement over the 83-Plus. The computer features are nice, but rarely used by myself. For anybody who is supposed to buy a TI series calculator for school, the 84 Plus us definitely the one to pick up this year and for the next few years I assume. Easy, fast, reliable, durable, and even sleek. As long as you handle it properly and use it enough, you will get all of your $110 out of the TI-84 Plus.

This calculator is hands-down the best I have ever had the honor of using. While the TI-84 Plus may not have as much space or as many pre-loaded Apps as the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, the TI-84 Plus offers everything a high school (possibly some college) math student needs in order to successfully learn and solve mathematics material. The TI-84 Plus comes loaded with several Apps that will make things even more convenient, such as a Probability Simulator and Cabri Jr., a great geometry app. Student looking to upgrade from the TI-83 Plus will find comfort in the fact that the TI-84 Plus is 2.5x faster and has 3x the memory than the TI-83 Plus. The TI-84 Plus is also extremely easy to hook up to your computer to transfer new Apps and updates to it using the USB port and the included USB cable. The TI-84 Plus will be a great investment for any student's education.

Many reviews have focused on what the calculator can do, but that's not all you should consider when buying something. Can something else do it better? Can something else do it cheaper? The answer to both of these questions is yes.

So you probably know what this thing can do if you've read the description or the other reviews. It can do all the standard scientific calculator stuff, it can graph functions and with some extra programs it can graph curves that aren't necessarily functions. It can numerically approximate integrals, derivatives, roots, etc. You can create programs and it has financial applications, but I don't know anything about them. It's also portable, which is a nice benefit.

The cons are a lack of a CAS, so there's no algebraic integration, factoring, integrating, or solving differential equations to name a few. The resolution is low and there is no ability to do 3D graphs. But these cons aren't enough to warrant the low rating. The proliferation of laptops and FREE programs that perform all these functions and more is the reason.

Did you know there's a free graphing calculator with CAS called Geogebra that you can download? It will do almost any calculation the TI-whatever will, it will graph everything with higher resolution, it will numerically and algebraically (if possible) calculate derivatives and integrals, and you can create applets with it. In case it seems like I'm advertising Geogebra (which makes no sense because it's free), check out the new Wolfram Alpha site as well. Another free graphing calculator, among other things, with CAS, including matrix algebra and curve fitting. There are many more similar programs or sites available.

Of course, if portability is your main concern and you don't have a laptop, then a TI-84 is an option, but I can't think of any reason that a professional who needs a calculator would want this over what I just mentioned. In particular, I don't know of any mathematician, engineer, or physicist (I only know a few anyway) who actually uses a TI. If they need quick calculations done, they'll use a scientific calculator or for more advanced needs, something like Mathematica or Maple.

This leaves the students and parents who are told that this calculator is a must-have, that it will be used throughout their entire career as a student. I'm a high school math teacher. These are not necessary. A calculator may be necessary at times, but believe me, a scientific one will do just fine. Unfortunately, some AP tests deliberately put problems that require a numerical answer and can't be done by hand in any reasonable amount of time. If this applies to you, you may have to bite the bullet and get something like this. In the meantime, students and parents should be asking their schools why these outdated machines are used in place of better, cheaper options.

Summary for the lazy: If you would pay full price for a 10 year old TV instead of taking a free lower end 2009 HDTV, then buy this item.'

ipod cable - ipod cable

I purchased 3 of these EXTRA LONG 6 foot cord, hoping to be able to stop using the short cord that comes with iphone. One of the three will not plug in to port for charging.

yes, its 6 ft long, but it takes 5 times longer to charge. Also, they dont smoothly enter and exit the port. I take extra care entering and exiting..be sure not to damage the port.

Lee Fosmon Extra Long 6 Foot (6ft) Apple iPhone / iPod Charge and Sync Cable, Double the Length of the Standard Cord

I have bought a couple of these cords and they are excellent! Why Apple sends us such short cords is beyond me. I use this 6 ft cord to plug into a surge under my desk to keep my iPad charged while using it at work.

I really did not expect this cable to be much... I mean its just a cable. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of what I received is just as good as the cable you get with your Apple product. I love that this is sooooo long, and I can lay on my couch comfortably and play on my iPhone 4.

It would have been nice to purchase an extra sync cable for my iPhone; however this was not the one. It would not connect properly for syncing and every time you disconnected the cable from the phone, the cable separated. I ended up sending it back as defective.

As you know iphone/ipod cables are very short...This item allowed me to charge my apple products without worry of them being pulled off a table because of a short cord. Charges just as fast as a short cables...

After just three days of gentle usage it stopped working altogether. The rubber near the ends had also split. Another classic example of "You get what you pay for."

----DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY/TIME----

For 1/10 the price of the Apple product, you get what appears to me, to be exactly the same item as sold by Apple. And I'm picky when it comes to these things. The only difference is that the length of this cord is double!

This cord is made with the same connectors and quality as Apple's. It even appears to be manufactured the same way in all respects.

I researched a lot of cords, and this was the only one that had the above attributes.

We have never bought non-apple cords before, so I can say with certainty that there are at least a couple different styles out there. The way I tell them apart is by the reinforcement coming out of the connectors. One is flat & smooth. The other is ridged. The style we received is the flat type. We have had no problems with either design. - Ipod Cable'

Microphone Accessories - home recording, microphone accessories

I have been into audio recording for a while now, and always wanted to get a pop filter, but never did. Always looked at the and said, how does that make a different. Well I finally opted for the Nady MPF-6, as it seemed like the name was well known and there was positive reviews. So let me say that Im sorry I have not bought this sooner. It really works well, it still passes very good quality of your voice, and any words that have that blowing effect is not picked up. In general it will cut down about 70% of any words that generally cause a spike in the wave form to be normal. It will make for much easier post editing.

The gooseneck design is sturdy, the clamp works excellent, used it on a Samson spider mount but clamp to most circular stands easily. I use it with a Samson CO1U microphone, very very please. One complaint is the screw that holds the gooseneck part to the clamp arm depending how you move the gooseneck will cause this to loosen, this is the only fault I have with the design, not major, but could have made that a more solid piece as I am not ware why one would ever need to loosed or adjust that park of the mount. Nady MPF-6 6-Inch Clamp On Microphone Pop Filter

It works fine. Comparing my vocal recordings before and after, you can tell the difference with the absence of those annoying vocal pops. It clamps onto any mic stand and you can contort it the way you want.

After reading the reviews I chose this POP filter over the other obvious choices. It works very well and mounts on my proline mic stand easily. One of the better POP filers out there the gooseneck holds its position fine unless of course you bump it.

I didn't know much about pop filters except that I needed one. Having never shopped for one before I was unaware of the variety of types and quality. My local brick & mortar shop offered a 6 inch pop filter for $27 and it looked pretty simple. I paid about $16 for this one. The low price made me wonder what I would find in the box. I decided to try two different types of pop filter. After reading many product descriptions in this category I chose this Nady single screen type and a double screen type from Musicians Gear. I received this one first. When I opened the package, the screen mesh part of the filter fell out of its frame. I found that the frame could not be tightened enough to hold the screen mesh securely in place!! Not a good first impression. I made simple shims out of scissor cut pieces of rubber band and was able to reassemble the filter in a way that allowed it to stay together well. I figured for the price I got what I paid for. The gooseneck is substantial and holds the filter in place nicely. The gooseneck can be removed from the mounting clamp which is another cost savings to the manufacturer but can be useful to the user who doesn't need or want to use the clamp. The clamp is OK and is identical to the clamp on the second filter I bought. I thought the rubber "bumper" on the tip of the screw that secures the clamp to its mounting point was a bit small and too "squishy". Again, one gets what one pays for. In the end, this pop filter mounted with little trouble, seemed secure and provided the needed service. The screen mesh frame seems fragile to me and can fall apart easily. This is definitely a consumer product meant for a stable, unchanging installation. It is not a "professional" quality product and would not survive one trip outside the studio.

This is a solid pop filter, especially for the price. I bought it to use for my StevePavlina.com podcasts. My first couple podcasts were done without a pop filter, and I noticed some popped p's. With the pop filter the pops were greatly diminished. The gooseneck seems to be strong enough to hold its position, although it's probably easiest to simply adjust the height via the clip.

Though I've only had the Nady MPF-6 for a few days, it seems to be a quality product. The clamp holds tight, and it seems to be big enough to fit a variety of mic boom stands. The arm is long enough to get it positioned easily. It's cheaper (price-wise) than the other pop screens I've scouted, and does a good job; probably as good as the [insert local music store]'s $30+ pop screens.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the arm isn't quite rigid enough for the screen, so the screen has a tendency to slowly fall from the position you leave it. But, after a little adjusting, it stays in place fairly well. I would still buy this product again.

I'm not a professional so this review is not aimed towards those who work with high end audio gear for a living. If you're a beginner to mid-level audio enthusiast, this product will work well for you. Why do you want it? Because speaking or singing close to the mic tends to cause a rush of air which often results in a "popping" sound when recorded. Certain sounds such as "p" and "sh" could also lead to clipping during recording. A good pop filter will capture the energy of that rushing air or diffuse the sounds of certain letters. You may also want a pop filter if you are recording anybody who might spit saliva while they are talking or singing. This is much more common than you think and saliva can actually corrode a mic. The Nady MPF-6 will help with all of these problems. You just have to remember to keep some space between the filter and the mic.

The filter is a round frame with two layers of material acting as the filter. You could probably make one but if you're setting up a home studio then you have more important things to do with your time and it would be more cost effective to just buy it.

The gooseneck is easy to use and stays in place exactly where I need it to.

The last component is a clamp. I currently use it on the mini stand that came with my Blue Snowball mic and it works very well. The clamp is adjustable so it can also be used with other mic stands. Overall, this is a great product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my friends. - Microphone - Home Recording - Recording - Microphone Accessories'

Secure Digital - kingston, 2gb

I bought this for my Canon digital camera. The camera shoots photos up to 8Megs and does high-resolution video as well. I originally had a 256MB San Disk SD Card in there because that used to be considered a BIG memory card. It worked fine, but I was constantly pulling it out to dump the photos or videos onto my computer so I could take more. At an event where I was taking lots of photos, I would literally run off to dump the card and I would limit my use of the video since it takes a lot of memory.

I finally bought this Kingston card because I saw it on sale. It works fine as well and I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to constantly be worried about whether I've got enough memory left and will miss a photo or video shot! This thing has so much memory that at times when I'd usually be thinking about dumping the data onto my computer I find I can still take hundreds of photos or lots of video (after all, it's about 10x more memory)! This has really been a big improvement for me and I'm really glad I bought it.

With the price of memory these days this card is extremely affordable. If you're working with anything less and/or ever worry about having enough memory in your camera, I would just go ahead an invest in this. It's really worthwhile!

NOTE: I'm writing here about the plain Kingston 2GB SD card. I've noticed Amazon sometimes groups reviews of similar items so you might see this posted under one of the premium or high-speed Kingston 2GB SD card listings. My only comment is that I've never noticed any significant lag or delay using this in my digital camera for either photos or video. If it's there compared to the premium cards, I can't tell the difference. This includes when there are few photos on the card and when the card is almost full. YMMV. Kingston 2 GB SD Flash Memory Card SD/2GB

Amazon made a horrible mistake, they gather the reviews from all kinds of kingston SD in one page. so when u look at Kingston 2GB SD, u will be surprised ! that it is being ranked 4.5 stars and people are speaking about its high speed even it has a 1.5 MB/Sec write speed! these high ranking comes from Kingston 2GB Ultimate !!!! I was fooled by this. So be CAREFUL, the reviewers here are speaking about totally different products.

This review is for the Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card (SD/2GB). I received this memory card free as a bonus from Amazon when I bought my digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K. I have been putting this chip through its paces for weeks now and I have to say it holds a LOT of pictures and is extremely reliable. I have not had any issues with my camera loading images into the memory nor have I had any problems pulling them back out onto my pc. For around 20 bucks, this is a fantastic memory card at a great price... I highly recommend this product!

What can I say, this is a memory card, it has a ton of space for digital camera usage, and it works exactly like it's supposed to. My camera takes better than 1 picture per second at over 4MB/picture and there doesn't seem to be any lag as a result of the memory card. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this SD Card for my Canon S3 IS no more than a month ago, and it doesn't work anymore. It lasted for a very short period of time, I took care of it, kept it in my camera, but when I went to take pics, it said "Memory Card Error" I do not recommend this card to anyone who is looking for a decent card. I would go with a ScanDisk in the future. I hope this helps you guys.

-Tim

I bought this memory card in conjunction with a digital frame as a Christmas present for my Mom. I spent days loading hundreds of pictures onto this card, and when I went to put it into the frame, discovered it was corrupt. It erased the hard drive of the digital frame, and erased everything I spent precious time creating on the memory card. I do not reccommend it at all.

I gave it one star because I had to, but it doesn't even deserve that.

I just bought this card for my Canon SD1000. When I popped in my card to see how many pictures it would hold, I was surprised how many it would store. So far, it has worked well and seems to be quick for my purposes. I have Kingston compact flash cards and I have not had any problems with them.

I've shopped around at the "brick and mortars" and this was the best price I found for a 2GB SD card. My local Super WalMart had a no brand name 1GB card for the $19.99. Great for everyday usage (I use this primarily for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7, A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE!).

It works realy great, I red some other reviews before buying this product and I can only say that this product is preaty fast and does realy works and for the price I paid its even more than enought to say that its just awsome. great delivery time.

I bought this 2GB Kingston Secure Digital memory on Amazon for about $13 (in March 2007), which I believe is a great price. The only thing I was worried about was the quality, but so far, it has worked great in my Canon A460. The videos look great and pics are great too. No complains. Big smile. - Memory Card - Kingston - Digital Camera Memory Card - 2gb'

Dvd Storage - media storage, dvd wallet

Case Logic DVD binders (also called "wallets") will not hold 200 separate movies -- it can hold 200 separate DISKS. This is important to note because many people are confused by this difference. Look at the number of liner notes it will hold -- that is the number of clear-view pockets you'll have available, one per movie. For example, this model will hold 92 individual movie "sets", meaning each movie will have it's own clear-view pocket and sleeves for storing the disks.

So where does the number 200 come from? There are two disk sleeves for each clear-view pocket (92 clear-view pockets x 2 disk sleeves per pocket brings the running total of available storage up to 184). This arrangement means that you'll either have an empty sleeve for movies with only one disk. And this will probably be the case for most of your movies. But this extra sleeve will come in handy if any of your movies have a separate special-feature disk or are in two parts (like the Lord of The Rings extended editions, which are on 2 disks each). With this system you can store those disks in the extra sleeve.

An additional non-removable disk-only storage area (with 16 slots) is located in the front of the binder, bringing the total disk storage capacity to 200. So this binder really will hold 200 disks -- or you can use it as a movie library, in which case it will hold 92 individual movie sets plus 16 disks in the additional storage area (useful for storing homemade DVDs and other disks that don't come with artwork).

***HERE'S A TIP: I noticed that a few people complained about not being able to browse their movies very easily because the disks are hidden inside their sleeves and often times movies don't come with liner notes for the clear-view pocket. A little creativity can solve this problem and turn these binders into a fantastic movie library.

Instead of leaving the clear-view pocket empty or just putting the liner notes in it, put the movie cover art in there. Remove the wrap-around cover art from the case -- it's really easy to remove if you open the DVD case flat -- just reach in and pull out the paper cover art. Fold it in half and stick it in the clear-view pocket of the binder. If there are liner notes (some DVDs don't have them) we just put them behind the movie cover art.

Now put the matching DVD in the sleeve behind it and repeat this for all your movies. That's it! You've just created a visually appealing, easy-to-browse movie library. You can flip through the binder and look at the full-color covers of all the DVDs you have, similar to looking at DVDs in a video store.

This also solves another dilemma: Even after they place their movies into a binder, some people keep all the empty plastic DVD cases because they want to save them for the coverart. Instead, just use the coverart in your binder's clear-view pocket and you can get rid of those empty plastic cases for good.

***HINT: If you have a DVD case with cardboard artwork that does double-duty as the case cover, just remove the cardboard piece from the plastic frame and separating the front cover art from the back cover art but cutting it in half. You might need to trim them a little, but both pieces will now fit in the clear pocket.

This DVD storage system is much better than storing plastic DVD cases on the shelf or in a drawer because you can only see the DVD's side, which is a slim edge that just contains the movie's title. It's much easier and more fun to browse movies when you can look at the cover, which often has a picture of the actors and other information. When we have friends and family come over for movie nights they think it's really neat to look through our binders.

These binders fit neatly on a bookshelf or they can be stored file-folder style in a drawer near your entertainment system.

***SAVE MONEY: Case Logic makes additional storage pages (refill packs) so you can to keep adding to your binder. However, it's usually cheaper to just purchase a new binder when your collect grows. For example, this 200 capacity binder is generally available for less than $35 and it has room for 92 movie sets. The most popular refill pack generally costs $12 and only has room for 10 movie sets. I'd have to buy over $100 in refill packs to get the same amount of storage that this $35 dollar binder can provide.

***ORGANIZING: For heavy collectors and those with a growing collection, don't try to alphabetize your DVDs -- this will get tiresome and difficult. Instead, just add movies to the binder as you get them and start a computer database of where each one is located, for example "Mission Impossible III -- Binder A -- Pocket 35". You can use Excel or Google Spreadsheet to create a quick & easy list that can be sorted by title or binder collection. This way you don't need to worry about trying to place them in the binder in alphabetical order. You can print out the list for each binder as it gets full and place it inside the binder for quick reference when you just want to browse, but you'll also have the interactive list on your computer in case you want to find a particular movie really fast. Potholder - oven, mitt

These "hot" gloves fit like most regular gloves, and there-in lies the rub. One would not grab a hot oven dish with regular, snowball throwing gloves, and that's what it felt like. But with some "build-up", from warm to hotter plates, my wife worked up to a confidence level where she now prefers these Oven Gloves. They are not as bulky as classic mitts. They work fine, but are kinda thin, so you wouldn't want to just hold a 400 degree dish while watching the end of NCIS. You can take it out of the oven and move it to the counter without problem.

I received this as a gift about 2 years ago and still use it daily! It has held up well even with daily use. I feel very little heat when using it. Since getting mine, my sister-in-law and mother now have one too. I highly recommend this product for those who cook often and for those who barely cook!

My mom gave me 2 of these gloves for Christmas. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first as the gloves seem to be very thin. I am used to my cumbersome but protective mitts when I barbecue, so far they've done the trick, but it is very difficult to properly manipulate all of the barbecue tools with a mitt.

The gloves allow very easy handling of forks, flat spatulas, tongs and brushes. Oiling the meat with a brush is no challenge with these gloves on, no chance of dropping anything.

From a heat protection stand point, my first fears were quickly gone when I tried to slide one of the bbq grids, after it was lit for 15 minutes. The metal was certainly very hot, but the glove had more than enough insulation to let me do the job without taking the heat. It feels weird at first as you barely can feel the glove on your skin, but the protection is there.

In addition to resistance to burn, the very thick cotton mesh liner seem to make the glove resistant to cuts as well. In fact I am now slicing the meat with the gloves on, which saved some skin already.

The light color is nice but they can become dirty quickly. I brushed off most of the residues after it dried, but eventually I will have to wash the gloves. The good news is that unlike flame retardants, these can be washed without losing their properties.

Hands down, my number one pick hand saver all around the kitchen.

As long as they dont get wet, these gloves rule the kitchen! Great dexterity, completely insulated, & they even have a little loop inside to hang them by!

A little bit large, but that way they accomodate my husbands hands too. I bought 2 so that I'd have both hands protected. I just hope they launder well.

I like the dexterity these gloves give you when compaired to standard mits. I was a bit skeptical at first because they are pretty thin, but they work great. I have pretty large hands and the gloves were a little tight at first but fit fine now. Really great for tedious grilling over high heat. A+ product.

Bought 2 for my husband's Christmas gift. He didn't like the regular oven mitts and wanted to try something like these. We both love these and have never felt any heat when taking things out of the oven or off the BBQ. - Glove - Potholder - Oven - Barbecue - Mitt - Gloves'

Shutter Release - remote control, photography

I bought this for my Canon T1i and it works wonderfully. As with the normal shutter, if I hold the button half-way down, the camera only focuses. Pressing the button completely takes the picture and holding the button down takes multiple pictures (if my camera is set for continuous).

It does everything I need, is easy to carry and use and is not expensive. A great product. Remote Shutter Release for Canon Rebel XT, XTi, XSi, XS, T1i, EOS 1000D/450D/400D/350D/300D, Pentax Super/K100D/K110D/ *ist Ds2 / *ist D / *ist Ds / *ist / *ist DL, Samsung GX-20/GX-10/GX-1L GX-1S, + Many More!

This shutter release does exactly what it is intended for. I am using it with a Canon XSi, and there are no problems of any kind. The cord is about 4ft, which is plenty long for pretty much any situation I would be in. Feels solidly constructed, and looks clean too!

I use this with my Rebel xsi to take pictures of documents at close range. Much easier to use for that purpose than a wireless remote, which must be in front of the camera to work. This works from any angle, exactly as promised. Yay! The remote is useful for self-portraits, I imagine, but probably little else.

This remote switch is a bit tricky at first. When I first used it most of the time I it would snap a shot immediately after focusing with a half press, rather than just auto-focus as it should. After playing around for a while I realized if you press the very bottom of the button you get a much better half-press auto-focus than pressing the button in the middle as you are used to. The cable itself is much thicker than the Canon brand, not a problem though. I bought this for my Canon EOS Rebel XT.

I bought this to help me take time exposures in low light using my Canon T1i. Before I bought this, when I used a long lens (I have a 400mm) on my tripod, I was forced to activate mirror lock-up and set the camera to wait for 20 seconds before taking the picture to allow time for the camera lens to completely settle down. Even then I was not always happy with the result. With this remote release everything has changed.

My normal photos (no mirror lock-up, no wait time) are almost as good as those I took before using lock-up and wait and the results using lock-up and a 2 second wait are as good as the 20 second waits I used before. This is great. Simple to use, has a lock for continuous pictures (although you can also hold down the button) and holding the remote button half-way down allows you to properly focus the picture before taking it exactly as using the normal shutter button.

The only question I have is whether or not it uses a battery. There is no easily opened battery compartment and, if it does use one, I assume you have to open it up using the plastic screws to change it. But regardless, this is a great help and I am very happy I bought it.

Why spend $150 for a fancy, programmable cable release when this one will do all that is necessary for pennies? I use my release mainly for time exposure and astronomy pictures. I am totally satisfied with it.

I purchased this item after reading a few reviews. The product does the job! I have not had a any problems while using it with my Canon XSi. The cord could be longer, but still that means no default at all. This was a great purchase, my pictures have turned out well.

Don't let the low price fool you into thinking that this remote isn't worth considering. I purchased this to use with my Canon T1i and really enjoy it. I was half expecting something poorly constructed but this remote is rather sturdy and mechanically sound. No bells and whistles, just a straight forward accessory that works well.

My bottom line up front is that for under $5 this remote is more than worth its price; I would even pay up to $15. Sure, that's still cheap, but I don't see the point in buying a brand name remote when this one works so well. The rest of my review below is geared towards very new DSLR users such as myself (specifically with the Canon models this remote control is made for), so you more experienced folks probably won't have any need to read further.

You won't get instructions with this thing other than a diagram of the remote showing how you press the button to snap your shot and how to slide the remote into locked position. A brand new amateur might be curious as to how to connect this remote to his/her camera, as well as how to use it, prior to buying it. If you're like me, you might spend 10 seconds with the camera's owner's manual. I like to provide quick "how to" info in my reviews to potential buyers to give them a better idea of the product (and no, I don't work for amazon or any seller).

Connecting the remote control to your Canon T1i:

- lift the rubber terminal cover on the left side of your camera body (as you're looking at the LCD screen)

- slide the remote control male connector into the remote control terminal female connector

Using the remote control:

- turn your camera on (obviously)

- press the remote control button halfway down to allow your camera to autofocus (it's actually easier just to press the lower half of the button down to auto focus, preventing too much pressure which might cause you to take the shot)

- press the remote control button down completely to take the shot (or if your camera is set to continuous shots your camera will continue shooting until you let go of the button)

- press the control button down and slide forward to lock into place if doing long, manually-timed shots (or you can continue holding the button down...it's a matter of preference [or thumb stamina])

I do want to note that as far as going into camera settings via the LCD, I had no need to do that to use this remote control. I simply plugged it in and began using it. There might be settings in the menu that you might have to manipulate if you're attempting to use "advanced" features of your camera with a remote control. I'm not familiar with those if there are...not yet, anyway. - Camera Accessories - Canon - Remote Control - Photography'

Hp Laptop Battery - laptop batteries, laptop

This battery arrived 2 days before the suggested arrival date. I replaced a 4400ma battery that died after 15 months of owning my laptop (just 3 months out of warranty) After several calls and emails to HP the best they could do is send me a replacement 4400ma battery for $67.00 plus shipping and handling. I was concerned that it may only last 15 months. I have read many bad reviews about the hp stock battery I had . After searching amazon.com found an 8800ma battery for $54.00. This battery is in my HP Pavilion dv4-1220us laptop. I have read the reviews and some complaints were about the battery being heavy and raised the laptop about a 1/2in. higher than the 4400ma stock battery that came with the laptop. This is not only true for the replacement 12 cell battery, but to note my brother-in-law has a later model hp pavilion with a stock 12 cell battery, and it is the same size as the replacement battery I purchased. If you want a lighter flatter battery then get a 4400ma battery. However my 4400ma stock battery never got me more than 1hr and 30 minutes of power and lasted only 15 months. On the other hand after having this battery for just about a week now I get about 3hrs and 45 minutes of battery life streaming music. It is well worth the extra weight and actually easier to type now that the laptop is angled a little bit. There was another complaint that the battery either fell out of the machine or was a bit shakey, and at times lost connection and the laptop would shut down. Now I don't know about other models of laptops, but on my pavilion dv4-1220us this does not happen. I will say that it does wiggle a little, but my brother-in-law's 12 cell 8800ma stock battery with his ph pavilion also has some wiggle room. All in all for the money compared to what HP wants for the same battery you can't beat it. My only regret is that at the time of posting this review the same battery is 7 dollars cheaper than when I ordered a little over 2 weeks ago. New Laptop Replacement Battery for HP Pavilion dv4 Series, Pavilion dv5 Series , Pavilion dv6 Series

I bought this battery for my HPDV51000 Laptop. I chose this battery over an HP Battery for 2 reasons 1) My original HP battery died after 15 months of use so I didn't want to get another one with the same results, I was hoping to find one that would last longer. 2) This battery had good reviews. I followed all the directions by calibrating the battery several times by fully draining and then recharging it. The battery only lasts for less than 1 hour with all the power settings set to the HP Recommended settings. The original HP laptop battery lasted well over 2 hours on the same settings. Overall I am disappointed.

I got this to replace a dead battery on my HP Pavillion DV-4 (which died after 14 months).

The price was great, compared to getting one direct from HP. So I was a bit skeptical about performance. But now it's been 3 months and it still works fine. Charges just as fast, and the charge lasts as long as the original HP battery did. It's basically just a clone of the HP battery, and these aftermarket batteries can be hit-or-miss. There is always a risk when buying a battery not made by the manufacturer, but I have found this one to work just as well as the first one. I hope it lasts even longer than the original. The battery life of the original HP battery was very dissapointing.

The battery works fine as long as you are using an actual HP power cord with it. When I first got this replacement battery it did not work with the cheap power cord I bought for $15 off here. If you need to replace your battery and/or power cord (as I had to after less than two years), this battery is fine but spend the extra money ($25 on Amazon) and buy the right HP power cord.

I ordered this for my laptop and they sent me the wrong part. I will edit this review once I have gotten the correct part or even a response from customer service. Until then I still have not heard from customer service as you have to email them. They don't provide you with a telephone number. We could solve the issue with a two minute phone conversation but is this world now a days people feel an 8 hour response to a simple problem is better customer service. Will not buy again from them.

The actual product which was delivered was not at all the same as in the description of the product. it does not work for dv5 or dv6 laptops. Even on the delivered charger, it says dv4 charger. u will be cheated.

I was amazed how quickly the item got to me. I got an email saying that it was going to take much longer, but it arrived in just about a week and a half. It was a lot cheaper than a lot of others, so that made me nervous, but so far it is performing better than the original battery ever did.

I recieved the product in a proper time frame and it was the exact one. The only problem I had was when I searched for this product I wasn't sure if it was the right one but I got help and it turned out to be the correct one.

I bought this battery because my original battery had lost it's ability to hold a charge. Since using this battery, I have the portability of my laptop back and I absolutely love it. This is a good battery, for a good price and I'd definitely recommend it.

This battery is great. It is of much better quality than my HP battery that came with this computer, which lasted LESS THAN A YEAR before it said I needed a new one. I went on without a new battery for a while (just stayed plugged in), but finally it died completely and I had to get a new one. Affordable, fast delivery, and it fit my Pavillion dv4 perfectly. Thanks! - Laptop Battery - Battery - Laptop Batteries - Laptop'

Blackjack 2 Accessories - samsung charger, cell phone accessories

I ordered this charger because it was made by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). I ordered it because it had "smart circuity" built into the charger. The first one I received was defective. However, the distributor replaced it and I love this charger.

You know how when you have a charger plugged into your power outlet in the car at night and the light blinds you, even if you don't have your phone plugged in? This charger turns off that light when the phone isn't plugged in and isn't annoying. This charger also drops the charging current down when the battery is fully charged so you don't over-charge the battery and ruin it.

It's worth the extra money over the standard charger. Samsung Car Charger for Ace, BlackJack II, Instinct (CAD300SBE)

Perfect for the Straight Talk Samsung R451C!

Having gotten tired of all the contracts and headaches with cell phone companies I switched over to prepaid a couple of years back. Recently I got a new carrier and a new phone the Samsung R451C and started the joy of collecting all the needed extras like car charger and cases etc (oh joy) :)

The charger shipped in a no frills package just as pictured with the Samsung logo on there and fit well in the socket and just a brief flash of the led then back off hmmm so tried plugging in the phone and was greeted with a steady green glow!

This charger looks good and works great even though not listed with the new Samsung R451C it works so don't hesitate buy it!

This seller shipped fast and I had it 3 days sooner than Amazon predicted.

I have no complaints about my charger. It was too expensive at the sprint store so I saved $20 getting it on Amazon. Some people have complained about it not charging, but I just guess theirs had a short in the wiring, mine works fine. It even shuts off when it is plugged in but the phone is not connected.

I gave this product 4 stars only because some of the other reviewers were correct in saying that you do have to make sure your phone and the charger stays in a very still position. Other than that, it gets the job done.

Got this for my samsung Access (I believe it's A827) cell phone. It was tight trying to insert into the charging outlet in the car, but once it's in... it works as it should... no loose connections.

yes, and it has samsung engraved on the side of it as shown in the picture, so i'm assuming it's samsung made. much cheaper than buying from the store (~$20).

I purchased the Samsung Car Charger for the Behold (SGH-T919). This is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) product with the Samsung logo on it. I don't like to go for generic chargers. It works great so far. This phone needs a car charger because the battery doesn't last very long. I bought this from bargaincell through Amazon, and the price was very low.

I got the car charger for less than half what the cell phone company wanted to charge. I ordered it just before the Christmas holiday and received it in about one week, which was great and unexpected. - Samsung Accessories - Samsung Charger - Cell Phone Accessories - Blackjack 2 Accessories'

Wireless Router - backup, wireless router

Going on three months of use. I do wonder about some of the posts about this thing dying after 18 months as this particular model (dual band) has not been in existence that long...

As a router, this thing is tops. Used it to replace a Linksys N router. I get much better range and much faster data now on my macbook. Before, in my bedroom, less than 50 ft away from my router, I couldn't watch standard def Hulu videos at all. Now I can stream high def videos without any delays or pauses. Part of it is because I also have G devices (Wii, iphones, etc) and the old linksys was forced to operate on that slower frequency. This thing effectively gives you a separate G router and N router- so my macbook finally can operate at full N speed but still provide service to older devices. This thing smokes the linksys in range and speed.

As a time capsule it works. I backup my iMac and my Macbook to it. I had a Seagate drive before that died after 9 months. So now I have a time capsule and another external hard drive, I rotate between the two to have redundant data for WHEN one of them fails. All Hard drives fail at some point. I do wonder about heat, there's no fan, but it never gets very hot to the touch.

Very happy with it so far. Apple Time Capsule MC343LL/A 1TB Sim DualBand

Okay, I read the reviews, I read about it "stopping working after 3-18 months", but I also read a bunch of reviews about how great it was. So, I decided to give it a try. It was incredibly easy to install, and worked awesome. I was stoked, but still wondered about the "stopped working" reviews. Well, 3 months later, it just stopped working. No lights, no nothing, just not working. Talked to Apple about it, and honestly, I don't know what happened to Apple, they used to be the anti-Microsoft, but now, they have the same customer service as Microsoft. The customer service was rude, condescending, and not helpful at all. I have been a senior software engineer for 15 years, working at times for Microsoft, Borland, Corral, Macromedia, Adobe, Steinburg, and many more. The tech support treated me like a 5 year old. Long story short, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A REALLY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT. Funny thing, my brother bought an older version of the TC and about a month after mine stopped working, his stopped working, granted he got an extra 3 month more then me. Same story with him, stopped working and no help. I urge you to remember that the reviews that praise the product, probably just bought the product and installed it. Like I said for the first 3 months I was VERY impressed, but now I sure wish I had realized that the good reviewers only had their TC for hours.

The time capsule is a great idea that doesn't work.

It might work the first time, but then over time you start having problems.

(1) The dreaded infinite spinning wheel that forces you to restart your machine,

(2) Sudden slowing down of ones computer.

The first suggestion Apple will make is, why don't you reinitialize the disk and try again. "Isn't this the disk with all of your backups?"

Apple next solution is to give you a new one, but each one eventually encounters the same problem, and so back you go to the store.

In summary, this is a machine that is suppose to save you work because it saves you time backing up. The reality is that this is a machine that will force you to use to time fix it, and in the end you won't have a backup of your data.

Apple makes some great products. This is not one of them.

I did read the reviews prior to purchasing. All of the reviews I read said it was hot, loud and finicky. I went ahead and bought it anyway. It lasted fourteen months. Power supply went bad. I took it to Apple for repair/replacement and they said they'd replace it but would not let me keep the drive. Their suggestion was to go to one of the $1000 data retrieval places. Why? The power supply is bad - the HD is FINE! Just give me the HD, please. Nope.

IF you buy this, back the 1TB storage up to ANOTHER 1TB storage so WHEN your Time Capsule goes bad, you have a backup of your backup. Evidently, Apple will not be helping you.

I bought the Dual-Band 1TB Time Capsule in November 2009, and it worked wonderfully at the beginning, albeit a little slowly (even for transfers over ethernet or USB). However, after 3 weeks of use, it just stopped working. There was no light, no sound, no work. I had read the many reviews saying that the drive tends to stop working after 18 months and didn't believe it. My dad has an older Time Capsule which is still kicking, now 2 years out. However, the fact that mine stopped working after 3 weeks makes me think that there is a production problem that still needs to be worked out. I would not recommend the time capsule to anyone, except those who enjoy gambling with you data. - Wireless Router - 80211n - Backup - Storage'

Indestructible Dog Toy - holy roller, ball

Our dog is a power chewer. She's medium sized with big dog chewpower!

She loves this ball - we have the blue one. It is perfect for making her really work to get to her Stella and Chewy's freeze dried steaks. We break them in half, stretch open one of the openings and put the treats inside. She has a ball rolling, chasing and bouncing this thing around. Keeps her interested and active for about 15 minutes as she figures a way to get to the treats inside. She loves a good puzzle!

While she does stand on this collapsible ball, and chews on it, she has not damaged it- and that's a relief, since she IS a power chewer. JW Pet Company Hol-ee Roller Dog Toy, 5-Inches (Colors Vary)

Unless you plan on supervising your dog 100% of the time when they play with this toy be careful. My terrier ripped through part of it got an obstructed intestine, stopped eating and drinking and had to go into emergency surgery yesterday. So $1600 later she is recovering. Hopefully she makes a full recovery. Just trying to prevent someone else from going through the same stuff I went through.

We have a 9 month old border collie, only about 40 pounds. He is NOT a big chewer. I gave him this ball last night; he didn't appear to like it much at first. It has a very strong rubber odor. I watched him closely and he finally picked up the ball after over an hour, and finally seemed to like it when he saw how easy it was to pick up. In less than 10 minutes there were 3 tears in the ball. All he did was run around, throw it up in the air, and bounce it a few times, and it was broken. NO CHEWING. I felt like I really threw my money away on this one.

My dog is a mix, border collie, golden retriever, maybe german shepherd. Within 10 minutes, he had this toy torn apart. Other rubber toys are still going strong but not this one. If your dog is ANY type of chewer, not just a hard chewer, this is not the toy for you UNLESS you are going to supervise play time with it the ENTIRE time.

With 2 dachshunds ruling our home and many canine houseguests (more dachshunds, shelties, beagles, Lab/Shepard mixes, a Newfoundland, Rottweiler, etc.), these toys have been loved and chewed on by all who enter our home on four paws. We have had several Holee Rollers and all but three have gone home with our canine houseguests because they fall in love with them too.

Only one of them, after 6+ years is starting to show some wear and tear but this may be caused by our dachsies playing tug with it between the two of them. These are made out of the the only type of rubber (100% natural rubber) that our dogs can't destroy in minutes as they will tear off the covers of tennis balls and chew solid man-made rubber toys into bits.

Because the Holee Rollers are bouncy and flexible, they won't make a loud noise if they hit a wall/cabinet or cause damage the way a harder ball (i.e. tennis ball, solid rubber) might. It's flexible and can be squashed down so the dog can more easily grab and hold on to it when playing a fast round of fetch. If you have a dog that loves to play fetch but destroys toys, try one of these. These are great for outdoor use and fly quite a distance with a fair throw.

Tip: when you give it to your dog for the first time, immediately play fetch or tug with it rather than just drop it in front of them so they know what to do with it from the start.

My chow/lab mix loves this toy. It's great because you can throw it and the ball will bounce and roll, or you can play tug-o-war with it. Both you and your dog have an easy way to grip it. She doesn't have as great a time playing with it by herself as she would a toy with a squeaker, but she will put it between her paws and tug on it for a few minutes. My dog and I have played with this toy for a few months now and I haven't seen any signs of wear on it. For any other toy, she would have chewed it to pieces in about 5 minutes.

My dogs (standard poodles) LOVE this ball. They play fetch and tug-o-war with it. It's a really good product, but my dogs are very aggressive with it when they play tug-o-war with each other. It is breaking apart after only a few weeks of play. It is not a problem with the product itself - it is because my dogs are so rough when playing with the ball. I got the 5-inch size. I might try the larger size to see if it is a little more sturdy.

I have had this toy for my two boxers for at least 4 years. EXACT SAME TOY, and still in great shape. They tug and chew on it all the time, and it has been one of very few toys to hold up. They prefer this toy best when I purchase those little tennis balls that squeek (they fit in the palm of your hand), and I have to stretch one of the openings and shove the tennis ball inside. They have never been able to get the tennis ball out, but they love, love, love trying. They do manage to tear the tennis ball inside up, and I just replace that.

As with any toy, keep an eye on them till your sure its one that will hold up against your dogs intellect and persistence, but i HIGHLY recommend this for tough chewers and tuggers. - Dog Puzzle - Holy Roller - Chew Toy - Ball'
