Exfoliating - exfoliating, moisturizer
This is the best foot care product on the market. I can't say enough good things about it. All the womwen and some of the men in the family use it now. It really works to get rid of dryness and cracking skin on your feet. Swisa Beauty Mineral Treatment, Pineapple Mango, 10 Oz.
Hi
My son has sufferred from Eczema for years and it always gets worse when on holiday. We listened to a lady on a stall in America, who said it is useful for eczema, but thought it was expensive $80 Dollars
Found it on Amazon and bought some. My son used it while on holiday with amazing results. His eczema calmed and all but disappeared.
Well worth a try if your kids suffer from this horrible ailment.
Also lovely for the wifes hands and feet!
Let me first start my review by saying, I have been labeled by physicians as "OCD" when it comes to lotion/body scrub use (Obsession in that I HAVE to have lotion on; Compulsive because it HAS to be a certain kind)! I CANNOT even walk out in the rain without re-applying lotion. Like another reviewer said, I had discovered this product SEVERAL years ago at a kiosk in the mall as well. At that time, I was REALLY young and didn't have ANY problems with dry skin- but still had the obsession with lotions. Since they no longer have this in the mall here, I did a search for this on Amazon and was so extremely excited when I found it on here! I have used medicated lotions/body scrubs, super expensive ones- NOTHING on the market is going to make your skin feel the way the Swisa Dead Sea scrub does! As soon as you wash it off, the feel of your skin is ridiculously soft!!! I have made 5-6 of my friends try out the product and EVERY one of them is amazed with the result!! One of them is an Arbonne consultant that sells their own body scrub and lotions, and she ordered it from Amazon from my house before leaving!!! There really is nothing better for soft skin that actually LASTS throughout the entire day!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that craves soft skin, or has issued with keeping their skin soft! You won't be disappointed!!!!!
I was first introduced to the Swisa Beauty Mineral Products at a kiosk in a mall. I usually don't get hooked by the kiosk pitch; however, I couldn't help but notice how amazed people looked walking away from trying this product. I decided to give it a try myself, and boy was I impressed! This product was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. You can always find lotions or scrubs advertising how they'll make your skin feel silky soft. Usually though, they'll make you feel silky soft for about a day, or even less if you wash it off. Swisa is unlike the rest of these common products as it leaves you feeling soft and smooth for over a week. After exfoliating with Swisa, it seriously makes you feel like you're reborn all over again, as if none of the elements have ever touched your skin! Aside from feel, it leaves a noticeably visual difference after just one application. Your body is left smelling fresh and fragrant (but not girly- just yummy), feeling smoother than it's ever felt before, and glowing like you're brand new! The product and its fragrance work well for any person, male or female. My family, friends and boyfriend rave about this product now that I've shown it to them! It works great on already smooth skin as well as rough skin. I use it on my hands and feet as it says, but sometimes can't help exfoliating my arms and neck with it as well. I love how it makes me look and glow, feel and smell. My only piece of advice is don't put it over sensitive areas of the skin, especially if you're pores are open (i.e. freshly shaved legs) as the sea salt can sting a little. The kiosk disappeared from the mall but I was so impressed by this product, I ended up having to track it down on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and try it. I guarantee instant, impressive results. You won't want to stop using it!
i bought this and to my surprise it arrived in just 3 days with the standadr shiping. Ive recently bought this item at the mall for over $50 and was excited to finally see it available on amazon, i would just type in swisa on the amazon search and one day it came up. So when i saw this amazing low price i ordered several and is enjoying my smooth soft skin again. i know it makes my hands soft so now i fnd myself holding hands more with my boyfriend and shaking people hands. its definately a must have on my list and i promise it will be yours ENJOY!
I think the product works wonderfully. My husband keeps straing at me telling me I look 5 years younger! Thank you Swisa Pineapplee Mango treatment.....Doesn't taste all that well however!

Halloween Costumes
Got this for my son for Halloween since he's big into firefighters at the moment. Figured that since it had an award for quality that it would be comparable to the $50 one I've seen as well. Especially since it was originally priced at $60.
Unfortunately, the material is the cheap, thin polyester-type stuff that tears easily and the patch was glued on, not sewed on (it fell off literally in the first 5 minutes my son was wearing it). Hopefully shouldn't be too big of a deal since I can hopefully sew it back on for him, but for $30, I expected better quality.
The item says it comes with an adjustable helmet, but I originally received only the costume without the helmet. In Dress Up America's defense, when I contacted them about the issue, they shipped a helmet immediately (not adjustable, though) at no extra charge.
It's not a horrible costume, but the award and the price lead you to believe it's a high quality costume. We'll be lucky if this lasts though Halloween night. Firefighter Costume Boy - Child 4-6
I originally intended to buy the Aeromax fire fighter costume for my child, but could not find it anywhere in his size (4/6). This one caught my eye, and since the page stated it was "award winning" I thought this might be a suitable replacement. I was wrong.
First off, instead of being a durable cotton outfit (like the Aeromax) this one is made of a thin polyester material. Not too realistic looking. The "reflector" stripes are just brightly colored strips of polyester and have no reflective capability (as the Aeromax does). The embroidered patch was not sewn on but glued. My son managed to pull it off in about 30 minutes. And the helmet is not adjustable (as the web page states) but is a one-size-fits-all.
Obviously, I was very, very disappointed in this purchase. It's nowhere near worth the $30 they are charging. You'd probably find a similar outfit at some place like Target or Walmart for less than $10.
Buyer beware...
I purchased this fireman suit for my son and most recently for my nephew.
It is very well constructed, durable and fits well. It is perfect for Halloween because of the reflection detail. My son used it for evveryday play putting out imaginary fires all over the neighborhood.
It fits to size, maybe runs a little big. The hat is heavy plastic and durable.
I purchased this as a Halloween costume for my 4 year old son. For the money, it was a great value. The package said it did not include the helmet, but it did. I would definitely buy this costume again.
I sent this Toddler Fireman Outfit as a gift. It has been reported to me that it is of good quality, and the shipping portion worked out as promised. It arrived exactly on the arrival date listed. I am very pleased with the service and the gift.
This costume is well made. It is not plastic like so many other firefighter costumes. It looks great! It is also very durable. My 5 year old son has worn it several times so it has been washed and it still looks like new! Great product. I would highly recommend it!
Costumes arrived in perfect condition and on time if not earlier than promised. Fit well and looked sturdy, well made for a Halloween costume. The helmut is made of hard plastic and is very impressive. We did not use the neck cover, but it is included.'

Block Chef Sets - ex girlfriend, ex boyfriend
This is a wonderful product. All my friends get a kick out of it when they see it. It's lighter than I thought which makes me a tad uneasy with three cats who like to knock everything over and a little pricey for such a piece but it's nice overall.
The knives are even better than I expected. For the reviews who said they rusted they have obviously never been taught the basics of knife care. Even "stainless steel" rusts when left to soak or to air dry. Knives must be hand washed immediately and dried on a clean towel.
I would recommend the product. The Ex 5-Piece Knife Set with Unique Red Holder Designed By Raffaele Iannello
This is a wonderful piece of modern design. Iconic and hilarious. The holder is made of hard plastic. I wish it were made of something like shiny vinyl on the outside, though. I think it'd be more protected against falls if it were. The knives, in my opinion, aren't as great as the other reviewers are saying. Mine have already started to get rust stains in some places so the "stainless" in stainless steel isn't quite up to snuff. They keep their edge as well as an average supermarket knife would. I haven't taken mine to a knife sharpener yet to see how well they'll take a refinishing.
However, the point of this thing is the holder. And that is completely worth it. It always grabs attention in the kitchen. Even the construction guys working on our renovation laughed. If you're looking for a serious voodoo toy, this isn't it. The knives do not go in an out of the sheath holes so easily that you'd actually want to play with it.
The Ex 5-Piece Stainless-Steel Knife Set with Unique Holder, Red Looked great in the shop window in Paris, thought it was heavy fiberglass or ceramic... for 150 Euros I let it pass. Great price $69.95 on Amazon resulted in ordering one, despite reviews that warned of it's plastic flimsiness. Well it is flimsier & more cheapo hollow lightweight plastic then I could ever have imagined from looking at it. This thing couldn't possibly stand up to a month of normal use... cheap cheap cheap looking & feeling. Didn't even bother to unpack the knives before returning it. Great idea, terrible execution, if you'll pardon the expression.
This knife set is awesome. Everyone should have one, but if everyone did it wouldn't be as unique anymore. So please don't buy it! Haha. In all seriousness though, the knives are great for the price. It looks awesome. My only complaint is that the little man isn't made solid. It's hollow on the inside and kind of flimsy. I'm worried this won't hold up to years of use.
If you are like me, sometimes you feel a little bit stabby. Well this is the item for you. You can stab a guy and not have to worry about the SWAT team showing up. The knives work well and this beats a block of wood by far.
I've had one of these in red for about 3 years now and it has become an integral part of my kitchen. It's a nice visual break in the typically monotone kitchen landscape of pots, pans, and pantries. The knives that this set comes with are average at best and don't hold their edge too well, nor did they have a very good edge to begin with...but one doesn't buy this piece for the knives! Everyone who sees it loves it, and I haven't grown tired of using/seeing it. It is whimsical, but not overly kitschy (like say, if one were to make this using a unicorn instead of a stick figure), so it holds some artistic value.
I replaced the knives with a Calphalon set that my credit card provider sent me through their rewards program. I want to say that the knife holder looks more "evil" with better quality knives in place, as the knives it comes with don't exactly scream "KNIFE", and look more like T2000 protrusions/liquid metal blobs. This would be a great gift for fans of Showtime's serial killer series, Dexter.
The only weird thing is the plastic bits that hold the knives in the back of the man, but otherwise it definitely gets a lot of attention. I think my friend who had this might have removed the plastic things, but I'm not sure.
The knives are good quality, at least for a person who doesn't know the first thing about cooking... I followed someone's advice and I make sure to wash and dry them right after using, and they haven't shown any stains.
It is pretty big, and lightweight like someone mentioned, but I have it up on a shelf next to the microwave, and it hasn't fallen of it's own accord. If it were accessible by cats I would probably be worried.
Overall, I'm very happy with the item, I will probably buy a few for holiday presents.
I first saw this in a magazine at the Hair Salon I go to and it brought a smile to my face. Hilarious & I think people will get a kick out of this. This was gift to my daughter who loved it and said the knives are well made & the holder is a good size. Great conversation piece.
I received this as a gift, and I never return gifts. But I returned this knife set. The knives were junk and the plastic holder was flimsy. I couldn't see it lasting more than a few weeks. Although entirely not functional, it was funny to look at, but that's not what I need in a knife set.
I love this product and it's a great conversation piece when people come over. It cracks me up when I look at it. However, the knives are quite dull and that's really disappointing. I'm willing to go buy similar, but sharper knives to use in that. - Ex Girlfriend - Fun Gift - Ex Boyfriend - Knife Set'

Masks - masks, 3m respirator
If you are looking for a respirator that is actually comfortable on your face, this is it. I bought this primarily for woodworking, but after using it I have discovered the awesomeness that is activated charcoal. I now use this thing for painting, spraying and finishing my projects. I seriously think you could dip your head in a can of paint and you wouldn't be able to smell anything through those bad boys (I wouldn't recommend trying that though...). Did I mention comfort? Because this respirator can be worn a long time comfortably. The downdraft feature of the exhaust is really nice as well. For woodworking it prevents me from blowing dust all over the place every time I exhale. If you've been wearing dust masks for projects do your lungs and your brain a favor and buy this. 3M R-7512ES Professional Half-Mask Organic Vapor, P95 Respirator Assembly, Medium
I am very happy with the mask. There could be better instructions for use but it is comfortable to wear and does not fog up my glasses. I used it while routing wood which creates a lot of dust and still had full use of my glasses because of the tight fit. Even with the tight fit it is comfortable. I also used it while cleaning my shower stall with a bleach spray and did not get an odor of the bleach. I ventilated the room to be safe.
This is a comfortable respirator that is easy to put on, inexpensive, and works superbly. I live near the coast and must spray fungicides regularly. There is no smell whatsoever that gets into the respirator, so you are not breathing the toxins. I can still play my I touch while using it and would unequivocally recommend it.
I bought these with the intention of only using them when painting the exterior of my house as they are marketed as a "Paint Spray Respirator". Having said that I ended up using them when sanding, drywall/ drywall sanding, demo work (both interior and exterior), and just all around cleaning of the work area. All particles (drywall, sawdust, etc.) were captured in the filters!! While working I even noted where I could not smell what I was working on - they filter out that much of the surrounding air. They are comfortable to boot as well. Huge amounts of adjustability and the silicone face piece contoured to my face perfectly!
I've used both the standard and the professional half masks, and I can't tell the difference between the two. I wish they'd do something to solve the condensation that builds up in the outlet and drips out from time to time.
All and all it does the job though.
This product is saving my life. The building I live in has insufficient venting of the laundry room which proceeds to regularly fill up with a combination of dozens of types of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from laundry detergent and drier sheet/fabric softeners used one after the other in a large apartment building. This toxic cloud drifts into the hallway and made me ill for months, and I called an inspector to try to get the problem fixed and they said there is nothing they can do, and the landlord says they have done all that they can do. So it is my problem. And, half my body has gone numb now in a stroke-like event, with numbness from my finger tips on my right hand progressively leading up to my upper arm then my tongue, cheeks, and mouth, which are now rigid, as well as the top of my skull and back down the other side, similarly. The only defense I have against further deterioration of my nervous system is this mask. And thus it allows me to go into the laundry room without getting even more terribly ill from the fumes and limits my exposure to this ongoing chemical warfare that is unregulated VOC exposure. As well I wear it to go down the hall to empty the trash. It has an excellent fit, it is comfortable to wear and easy to breathe through. Highly recommended for those requiring a source of non-toxic air in their living environment. - 3m - 3m Respirator - Woodworking - Masks'

Garage Door Remote - garage door opener, one button remote
This opener is as simple as it gets and has only ONE button to open/close ONE garage door - if you need to control more than one door look for other models. It literally takes seconds to program. Just make sure your opener is compatible with SECURITY+ systems, which operate at 315 MHz (purple learn button and purple antenna). This opener has good range and will open my garage door from over a block down the street. I highly recommend this opener if you just need to control a single garage door. Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote(See Tech. Details Below)
I don't have experience with any other remote so can't do any comparison.
But this remote works, and have a decent range. However before purchasing make sure that it will work with ur garage door opener.
The garage door remotes were shipped the day after I ordered them. They were in their original, unopened packages as advertised and worked beautifully! Extremely easy transaction - I highly recommend this vendor!
I have purple learn button so I bought the LM371. I pressed the learn button for 6 seconds to erase all previous opener frequencies. Then pressed the learn button once click the LM371, the light flashed and it was done. I did it for 2 more openers and just as easy. Works great everytime, cheap and easy.
The Liftmaster 371LM 315MHz Garage Door Remote could not be any easier to program and works flawlessly. The post office lost this shipment for a few days and Amazon immediately refunded the full price. For value, rapid delivery, and excellent customer service I have come to depend on Amazon.
I ordered it from Amazon and the product arrived quickly(3-4 days) with no shipping charges. Same product in Home Depot was more than double the price Amazon had. It works great. I am very happy and would definitely recommend it. - Liftmaster - One Button Remote - Remote - Garage Door Opener'

A Liberal Lesbian Attempts To Justify An...
Written by Professor of New Testament (The General Theological Seminary, New York City) Deirdre Good, Jesus' Family Values is a rigorously scholarly examination of exactly what "family values" and dimensions of the family were in the days of Jesus Christ and the apostles, and precisely what the New Testament has to say - and what it doesn't say - about such matters. Setting scripture in a firm and well-researched historical context, and meticulously noting the nuances of translation as well as which scriptures are considered apocryphal by which churches other factors influencing their interpretation, Jesus' Family Values makes every effort to analytically answer the questions: What were Jesus Christ's family values, and those of his apostles? What does this mean for modern Christians with abiding faith in both God and the importance of family? Of especial note is the keen observation that today's suburban family household divorced from the workplace perhaps resembles Victorian era households more than those of Jesus' time. A desperately needed antidote to proponents of "family values" who quote or misquote snippets of scripture to support specific narrow views, Jesus' Family Values places the highest value of all on truth - and concerning such thorny and controversial topics such as religion, the best way to reach the truth is to offer as much research, evidence, broad-ranging interpretation, and logical means of analysis as reasonably possible and let the reader come to his or her own informed conclusions, precisely as Deirdre Good has done. Highly recommended. Jesus' Family Values
Deirdre Good is a world wide New Testament scholar. She addresses a topic of upmost importance in today's globally diverse world: Jesus' Family Values. She systematically reviews the question through the lenses of New Testament writings from the writings of Paul to the various Gospel naratives. Deirdre concludes that the New Testament portrays a variety of teachings in regards to the most controversial issues facing our religious communities and world. She conludes there is, as a matter of fact, no "unified teaching on marriage, divorce, households, or families." As was true in the day of Jesus, people are continuing to come to Jesus representng a wide variety of lifestyles. No one lifstyle represents Jesus' true family values. Real family values will stand the test of time, she concludes. This is a must read for any person who takes seriously the call to follow Jesus, without sacrificing one's authentic personhood. After reading her book, I conclude that "real" family values reflects a radical commitment to family and neighbor. Conceivably diverse constellations of familes, immediate and extended, are called to reflect God's cosmic, universal, kingdom values. True family values nuance as families continue to live out Kingdom values in a diverse and changing understanding of family and neighbor. As an Episcopal priest, I believe Jesus' family values will ever challege racisim, sexism, homophobia, and hate wherever it is found.
I think it was in high school English grammar that we learned about the sometimes overpowering effect of "glowing generalities". "Family values" might be an example these days. "Jesus' Family Values" is a clearly written, intelligent, even scholarly response. What Jesus and then the early church really taught and lived about family, discipleship, and inclusion, especially as found in Matthew, Luke and Paul's letters, is clearly presented by Deirdre Good. If I were not retired, I would lead a parish Bible study using this book as text...
If your intent is to learn what the Bible says about family values, read the Bible and avoid this book. If your intent is to dismiss what the Bible says about morality and family values, read this book. The author (a lesbian) is a professor of New Testament at General Theological Seminary, a seminary of the Episcopal communion. As recent so-called scholarship testifies, you don't really need to believe the Bible is The Word of God to be considered a Biblical scholar. The author is one who believes in reinterpreting scripture to fit her view of morality and denying those she can't easily reinterpret. In her view of life, whatever form your family takes is fine with God. If your family doesn't fit the model set in scripture, paint the scripture as outdated and the particular offending scripture as being added later by an oppressive patriarchal church. This tack is fine as long as you don't then attempt to use other scripture to justify your position. When scripture says something you don't like, either take its position to heart and acknowledge you are mistaken, or form your own religion where everything goes, but for heaven's sake, don't say that your position is found in the Bible.'

Strength Training - adjustable, strength training
These are the best ankle weights i have owned in terms of durability and comfort. Most ankle weights are too loose, causing them to slip and put pressure on your ankle bones, or when you do tighten them, do not allow blood flow to your feet, making them "fall asleep". These weights have very comfortable inner lining, and are flexible enough to allow blood flow.
It is always a good idea to wear some additional padding when using heavy ankle weights, so neoprene ankle supports are highly recommended to go with these or any ankle weights. When i wear these with my ankle braces, i can barely feel them on my ankles (aside from the fact that they are heavy, of course). These weights are among the least expensive, and best, ankle weights i have ever used. SPRI PL-AW10R 10lb. Pro Line Ankle Weight
I've been searching FOREVER for a decent set of leg weights that weigh over 5 pounds. These have little velcro pouches that you can open & close to vary the weights.
Each pouch holds 2 weights, giving you a great deal of varible weight combo's that are uniformly distributed around your ankle.
That said, now let me tell you what could be improved with them! I am 5'5" tall and weigh 110 pounds,(VERY "FIT") but have a "large" frame, my shoe is size 9 1/2, however the velcro wraps on these weights & the weights themselves will not fit TIGHTLY around my ankles unless I overlap the material they are sewn on.If the weight sections & materials to wrap them around your ankles was about an inch or so LESS, they would better fit a wider range of people. But perhaps these were designed solely with Men in mind! Also as to the little velcro closures, my son who is 15 wanted to give them a try running, & each time he took off the weights literally FLEW OUT, everywhere!! Luckily we found them all. Sooo...... IF you want a set for running, these are NOT for you!
But I use them every other day (leg day) & other than having to overlap them to get them snug, they work just great! I also have never bothered adjusting the weights in them, too much of a bother! I would just rather do all the reps I can at that weight, than fiddle with all the little pouches! Now if they just had some HEAVIER ones! Hmmmmm??? Hint ...Hint...
These are the first ankle/wrist weights I have had in 20 years. These are specifically for your ankles though. I am big guy so for me these are great and fit well on my ankles and I can wear them on my wrists since they are big enough and if not doing anything too crazy as being they are large they could fall or fly off of my wrists.
They are very flexible with your movements and adjustable in that you can take weight out them. The weights are small little rods in individual velcro pouches and thus you can make them less than 5lbs each which is great if you have other family members using them and are not up to a 5lb weight. It may sound like nothing but if you have not worked out with leg or arm weights you can really get a workout from a wide array of exercises.
They seem very well made and durable and easy to clean as needed with just some soap and water on a sponge if you they get dirty and I would suggest wearing them over thick socks or as another reviewer mentioned some neoprene ankle sleeves. Like the ones might use when working out for support of the ankle.
Lastly if you don't like them or they are not what you expected or needed you usually have 30 days via Amazon's return policy or most vendors as well, but of course check out return policy b4 ordering.
5/1/10 update (overdue):
I did hear from the manufacturer who acknowledged, indicated intent to correct (and apparently did) the perception that there are two weights (when there is only one).
Further, they sent me an additional one at no charge (after having offered to refund my money, shipping, etc.).
The only reason I do not give the product a 5 Star rating is a lack of history in use: so far, quite pleased...but the project related to winter camping was accomplished and though due for another intensive hike, the weights haven't been used otherwise. My sense is that they are quality and I hope that they hold up well over time.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Can't really refer to the overall quality of the product but beware that the presentation (including with the Amazon.com picture on the website) seems to suggest 2 weights (1 for each ankle).
There is ONLY ONE weight for ONE ankle.
Preparing for a winter camping trip (ankle weights on while at the gym recreates - and prepares my ancient legs - for the weight of boots/skis/snowshoes), I spent some time shopping for the numerous options online. Fatigued by the time I got to the reviews of this item (with all prior options being 2 weights), I missed the negative customer review caution.
Now reviewing the text, it does suggest one weight..and the picture shows the model only wearing one weight - with a weight on the floor in front (and the other picture shows two weights). This would appear to be intentionally mis-leading on the part of the manufacturer which leads me to consider returning them - if the shipping wasn't so damn expensive. Definitely WON'T be buying any other products from that company.
In retrospect, @ [...] for one ankle weight, it would have been more cost-effective (and timely) to have bought a reportedly poorer quality product - @ least there would have been 2 of them! & I could buy replacements and still be ahead of the game!
these are some solid ankle weights. the only problem is if you are trying to run really fast or use them on a bike the weights may shoot out the top because they are only secured with velcro that doesn't stick very tightly
Keep in mind that there's only ONE weight, not two. So if you want one for each ankle, you need to buy two.
I ordered mine from Amazon, and the weights themselves were not as described. On the outside of the box, it says it has 10 one-pound weights, one for each slot in the strap. The actual product had 18 half-pound weights, and each slot in the strap held two. But one of the slots was empty, meaning I was missing a whole pound. I measured the total weight of the product on my digital scale, and it came out to less than 10 pounds. The weights themselves appear quite cheap and don't seem to be completely even. They are poorly-crafted pieces of metal that look like they were spray-painted black. One of the bars even had a piece of newspaper stuck to it (in this "new" product).
I'm sure the product works great. I just received mine and haven't tried it out, yet. The strap itself is very well made. I was just disappointed with the quality of the bars (especially that some were missing). - Adjustable - Strength Training - Weight Training - Spri'

Earbud Headphones - earphones, earbuds
I bought these because I lose/break in-ears like changing socks. Well, eventually I lost them after having them for only a few months, but they made such an impression that I had to buy them again.
Pros
-By far the most comfortable in ears I've ever had. This was probably the number one factor in my buying them again. After the initial break-in period, I found that bass response was adequate, but not overwhelming. Mids were clear and the highs were defined without getting 'tingy'. All in all, if you're looking for a well balanced sounding set of in-ears, these are the best for this price. I'd even go so far as to say they give a fair challenge to in-ears twice the price.
-Sound isolation is almost to the point of sound cancellation. Being a college student, I study religiously. I found it's almost impossible to find quiet places, so having these in-ears are a blessing!
-The left ear and right ear cords are the same length. The last couple in-ears I've owned had that weird feature where the left ear cord is shorter than the right cord. I guess it kinda makes sense, you're supposed to loop the right earphone around the back of your neck yada yada - I just don't care for it. I like them the same length, so thank you Klipsch!
Cons
-The cord, connections, and earpieces [seem] a little on the flimsy side though they never broke, warped, or spontaneously combusted. Compared to the high-end in-ears I've used on stage, there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the cord and the construction of the earpieces. This is what dropped the product down a star.
-Not so much a con, but a warning. Due to the sound isolation, be careful using these in circumstances where it would be wise to have your hearing (i.e. biking, driving, gorgeous girl trying to get your attention)
-Cord noise. This is kind of normal and more of a con for pretty much all in-ears, but it's like the whole connecting two cans with a string - though I realize the current generation of kids may have absolutely no idea why people would do such a thing. Basically, friction with the cord causes noise to travel into the earpieces.
Worth noting
-I'm sure you've seen the $200+ in-ears and wondered,"Man, I'm sure those sound even better." I would say, not necessarily. Unless you're rocking full sound quality as in uncompressed, unadulterated, straight up tracks from the studio hard drive; the more expensive the headphones, the more unforgiving they are with lower quality tracks. So for a casual listener not insisting on 256kbps as a minimum threshold for sound quality, these are actually the best bet.
Bottom line
These are a great pair of balanced sounding in-ears and I would highly recommend them. Klipsch Image S2 Comfort-Fit Noise-Isolating Earphones
Ear buds are a funny thing. There are so many manufactureres and so many horrid sounding products. Even the ones that should sound good often don't. Recently we tested a pair of super expensive noise isolating buds that sell for over 400 dollars but they didn't sound any better than our 50.00 pair. In fact they didn't even sound as good in some frequencies. So here comes the Klipsch buds and they seemed worth a try. After demos with the Voda-don't waste your time, Shure-way too costly, and the Bose-decent but too expensive for what you get, the Klipsch seemed like a decent bud to try and we wern't disappointed. They come neatly packaged, easy to access. There are three sizes of fittings small, medium, which worked the best, and large. Sizing the pieces is the key to sound quality, fitting, and comfort. They're easily driven and provide good quality sound even at low levels. Bass, mid, and upper range are all superb, easily exceeding most other products costing much more. The high freq cuts off over 10khz quickly so if you like super high highs, the Klipsch buds will come very close but other makers may exceed these but at a cost. Then there's the claimed noise suppression which is also superb. You can hear ambient sounds but they're sufficiently muted allowing the audio to be played at low levels if desired. In the lab, they performed slightly above the claimed spectrum. In the ears, they sounded wonderful. The only issue, and one common with this type of bud with free hanging cable, is noise transmitted from brushing against you. Moving the adjusting band helps a lot. The wiring is rugged and compact but should be kept close to the body away from potential snags. Overall, we loved them and their great sound quality and can easily recommend them. Klipsch has a strong tradtion of great sounding products, next to Sennheiser, and these uphold the tradition.
... and I bet you aren't either (because how many of those are there?). I picked these up on the recommendation of a friend because I wanted something with relatively good sound quality and without the annoying noise made when the headphone wire rubs across my clothes. These have both. Granted, I can't tell you that they have bright highs or whether the lows are muddy... I just know they do a reasonably good job of drowning out the sound of the bus and its passengers, that they sound better than my old headphones (skullcandy), that they're comfortable to wear even after two hours of studying, and they have almost none of that annoying cord-against-cloth sound. Maybe the $80 S4s are better. I don't know. I also know I don't want to spend $80 on headphones. $50 is pretty much my limit, and for that money I'm happy.
I love these.
I searched for a long time for comfortable ear buds. I must have the world's weirdest ear canals, or something, but I always found ear buds to be very uncomfortable and make my ears hurt so much I could only wear them for a short time. The other thing was that a lot of ear buds (sure I tried some cheapies), sounded terrible. I'm no aficionado, but these others sounded terrible. By the way, I tried JVC, Altec Lansing, Sony, and Skull Candy.
I use these almost exclusively for running with my Sansa Clip. They do not fall out at all. I put the Sansa Clip on my collar, so the 1 meter cord is a little bit too long for that, but not a big deal. Especially if I run the cords off the back and up under my arm to my neck. Frankly, I could use a 12-18" cord for my arrangement, so judge accordingly.
So, first off: comfort
The S2's have a long, skinny barrel. In fact, they easily bottom out in my ear canals. I can't tell you they get to my ear drums, but they do get just as deep as I dare to push a cotton swap. They go way in there. At first I tried the medium ear gels, and they go right in, but I wasn't getting much of a seal. So I went with the large ones. They make my ear feel a bit stuffed, but I get a good seal, and because most of that stuffing is from the soft silicone, they don't hurt.
The seal I get is tight, so they do provide good outside noise rejection. In the winter, I run a lot on a paved trail that happens to have been landscaped next to a new freeway, so this matters to me. They are working good for that.
So, for comfort, not perfect, but they are the best I've ever tried and they don't hurt.
I'd like to get around to trying the Comply tips, but we'll see. There are several barrel sizes for Comply, and to get the Tx-100's, you would have to get them from Comply's web site. Amazon and Radio Shack only carry the tx-400s.
Sound Quality
Wow! They sound like they should. What that means is clear sound and flat response. I don't ever hear any distortion out of these any volume level. It is always clear and smooth. And, after I get a good seal, the bass is strong, but not too strong. And the mids are clear. The cymbals are crisp and nice. I happen to prefer even beefier bass, so I use the EQ on my Sansa Clip to "make it so."
Klipsch makes a big deal out of the fact that their ear gels are cast oval. That seems superfluous to me. They aren't very oval. And as soon as you touch them at all, they deform from oval to whatever. So, starting out oval doesn't seem to matter much. My ear canals aren't perfectly circular, and I doubt they're perfectly oval, either. But isn't that why they make them out of silicone rubber?
By the way, I bought these off of eBay for $23. They were an open-box return. But I haven't had any problems with them in the weeks I've had them. - Headphones - Earbuds - In-ear - Earphones'
