Excercise Bike - stationary bike, stationary indoor bike

I received this bike for a Christmas present. I had asked for it specifically after reading favorable reviews. (and, of course, based on the price!) It was pleasantly easy for my husband and I to put together and I jumped on it right away. The bike is quiet, the seat adjusts from very high to very low, even lower than what I need (I am 5'2"), and it feels sturdy. The battery powered screen has a place for your pulse, calories burned, time, miles, and speed. This bike is quiet enough to sit and watch tv while riding and you can hear your show just fine. My butt did get a little sore from the seat, but I got used to it. The bike is easy to move around with the wheels, however it does stay in place once you put it down. I recommend to anyone looking for an affordable exercise bike. Stamina 5325 Magnetic Resistance Upright Exercise Bike

First - all these consumer bikes are made by the same company in China and branded. I've had 7 in the past 10 years from different companies. Reebok, Stamina, Sports Authority house brand, Target... it doesn't matter. They're all the same basic construction, come with the same little shrink wrapped tools, the front and back supports go on the same; I can put these together in my sleep. You can even interchange the parts. The only difference are the computers.

They will all die in 1-2 years if you use them every day.

I use mine 20 miles a day - it doesn't matter if it's a $150 model or a $700 model, they die in under two years. Pulse monitor? Rusts out or breaks in ~4 months. Straps on the pedals? Break in 3-9 months. Plastic drive belt? Minor damage in 6-9 months, fatal damage in 12-24 months that requires replacement, since you can't fix them. These things even come with a warning that if you actually try to use them seriously you could suffer 'severe injury or fatality.' They're cheap consumer crap and they expect you to stop using it and turn it into a clothes rack.

So you might as well get a cheap one with good features and expect to replace it. This one works well enough and is quite quiet, but is lacking several features you'd expect for a $200 model (and I should have checked for first):

* Worst of all, no pedal straps. If your foot ever slips, the pedal goes upside down and you need to come to a halt and resync. After one night of this I just took the pedals I saved off my old ones and used them instead.

* You can't see your speed and distance at the same time.

* The timeout before the computer resets everything if you don't pedal is quite short compared to other models. Need to rush to the kitchen or computer or phone? Better hurry, or at least remember how far you'd gone.

* No drink holder. A little thing, but you'll need something else for your water bottle.

* The base is on the narrow side (there seem to be two common sizes), so if you get serious it rocks from side to side a bit compared to the wider ones.

* If you're 6'(I am) or over, the seat adjusts fine, but the handlebars are then very low. The configuration pictured is for a midget or child.

So this will work for a year till it breaks, but I've had a $150 model from Sports Authority that was much better, and next time I'll remember again what to look for.

I needed a stationary bike after a total knee replacement surgery. Decided on this item due to v.good reviews it received on amazon.com. Received the bike in beginning of Dec.'09 and I love it. It works for me well. It's well designed and built. Manual is clearly written and there shouldn't be any problem(s) with assembling this bike.

I purchased this bike cause I needed a heady duty one (handles up to 300lb body weight) and one that just plain works well with a basic electronic console. The instructions are easy to understand, the console has 6 programs, calorie counter, heart rate monitor, speed and distance and elapsed time. There are 8 resistance levels as well. The bike is solid and built very well and I am impressed since it is a $200 bike but seems built like a $400 one.

I recommend this bike to anyone who wants a well constructed, very very quiet and basic bike that works as it should.

After opening the box, the number of bolts, washers and screws were less than described in the manual. I called customer service and they responded that some assembly is already done and that's why there aren't as many as shown in the manual. So I put the bike together and it was fairly simple. Only one washer didn't match (regular washer versus curved) ... that didn't really matter, it worked.

The performance of the bike is everything I expected it to be. Very quiet which I love! The resistance levels provide a good workout. Note the programs that come with it are more geared toward how fast you are pedaling and it does not control the resistance. You control the resistance with the knob. This is a good product for the price.

I purchased this bike based on price range and reviews. The other reviews were dead on and I'm very grateful for their input. The bike was easy to put together and is very quiet. It's nice and sturdy for both me and my husband. I'm very happy with my purchase. It was exactly as advertised.

The Stamina 5325 does what any exercise/stationary bike should do. I am 6'/255lbs and while I feel this bike holds/supports me no problem, it is a bit wobbly if I ride at a faster pace. Nothing that I worry about, but does concern me for the length of the life of the bike. My wife is much smaller and has no issues. We both agree the seat is fine, but not overly comfortable. Height adjustment is excellent.

My other minor gripes, you have to put it together(which I knew), but it was about 30 minutes of work. It was not necessarily difficult, but there were some steps that were "tricky"(getting the resistance adjuster cord to connect). The peddles are slightly small, and at higher rates tend to flip on you, and they are not double sided, nor do they have straps or a place to attach straps. Also, I was comparing to less expensive bikes, and I am not sure how you can get much cheaper and still feel like you got a quality product. I bought this bike wanting something to give me a good work out, and I feel it does that, but some of the assembly did not make me feel like it was the strongest construction. You are paying a little more for the heart rate monitor, which does seem to work, but I don't use all that much. With that being said, at the $200 price point, I WOULD buy this bike again. I know if sounds like I am complaining a lot, but I am just providing information that I did not see people mention in previous reviews.

If you have a little more money to spend, I would see what an extra 50-100 can get you in features and quality, but I feel that this bike is what you paid for... I would say this bike is good as a starter/light use exercise bike that will make you glad you did not pay more. - Highly Recommended - Upright Bikes - Stationary Indoor Bike - Stationary Bike'

Lcd Hdtv - lcd hdtv, 1080p

This is a very nicely built television.

Plenty of hookups, which were easy to reach.

The Anyconnect (which allows one device to control another like Sony's Bravia, but for Samsung) works well. It's nothing super, but it works.

You can save favorite channels, easily and quickly switch to other inputs, play mp3s and jpgs via USB, ... ya know, all that stuff that you expect from a very nice TV. It's not going to surprise you much. The video didn't need any adjustment for me, out of the box, but there were a lot of options for tweaking it.

Audio was average, not impressive, but I'm used to a nice surround system (which I promptly hooked up). One reason Anyconnect is nice is that I can have the TV output over the surround sound (an Anyconnect system) very easily.

Oh, and the dang stand swivels. It's a heavy-ish stand, too. Another commenter had a problem 'drilling' the stand, but I found this wasn't an issue. I found the build quality to be the best I've ever seen on a TV.

The picture, though, of course, is what matters most. And this TV has an amazing picture. Clear and beautiful. The colors stand out, the contrast is strong, the blacks look black.

The statistic that is weak on this TV is its slow refresh rate (the 60hz). I actually prefer this TV over ones that have a higher refresh rate. Movies look more like the cinema this way. In fact, many movies are shown in theater at merely 24 hz. Have you ever noticed that a movie or TV show looks subtly like a camcorder, behind the scenes tape, or a Soup Opera? This effect is often the result of a high refresh rate, and it reduces the mental blur from frame to frame. I suspect newer TVs actually let you reduce the refresh rate, because many find a high refresh to be less appealing. But this way I get a cheaper TV that I think actually looks much better. Before you spend hundreds more on a 2D set with extremely high refresh rate, test it out and see what you like better. Make sure the media actually supports the high refresh rate. You may find this cheaper set is as good, or perhaps better if you're like me.

I found no flaws with this TV whatsoever. It's amazing that such a large and beautiful TV, from what many consider the best brand, is so affordable. Samsung LN46C530 46-Inches 1080p LCD TV - Black

Oh my, this is a beautiful TV. This TV is the first LCD HD TV I've ever bought. I've been watching a 10 yr old JVC CRT set that has served me well. However, it's only 30" and I wanted a larger screen.

I was hesitant to buy an LCD TV since my old CRT is still putting out the sharpest picture around. But after getting the Samsung 46" and hooking it to my cable HD box I can say that I don't regret the purchase. I'm blown away at the quality of the picture.

I also bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player and the quality of movies are unbelievable. I'm sorry I waited until now to go HD.

I highly recommend this TV.

One month update: I was a bit concerned with this TV being only 60Hz since I watch a lot of sports but I have not had any problems at all. Just recently watched almost every match of the World Cup and had no problems whatsoever with blurring or anything. NASCAR is beautiful on this set.

I've got my old CRT set in my bedroom. It looks crappy now, LOL!

I've had this TV for a month.

I have a PS2, PS3, PC and DirecTV connected to it.

The audio isn't great, but just slightly below average for a TV. The speakers facing downward make for a very clean look, but sound is just a bit spacey, but very clear. I have a home theater setup and didn't expect much out of the built in speakers. I was looking for a high quality 46 inch LCD monitor and that is what I got.

As far as gaming lag, nonexistent.

The picture quality is excellent. If you use Eco mode, brightness has to be adjusted up to make up the difference, otherwise the picture is just a bit too dark.

With the backlight set to 8, the brightness set to 42 colors pop and blacks are black. It is a tad bright when watching at night with all the lights off, but Eco mode takes care of this. In Eco mode, brightness set to 10 is comparable to 8 without Eco mode.

I did turn off the digital noise remover and edge enhancement, the MP4 noise filter is still enabled. With everything set default the picture was a little too smooth.

We've watched HD movies and played a lot of games at 1920x1080, perfect performance and picture.

I've recommended this TV to my friends. Thoroughly enjoyed this purchase.

The black Friday price point ($700.00) is what pulled me in. Great TV in this price range. The only issue I have with it is the motion strobe. This is my second HD LCD purchase. My first was a 40 inch Sony Bravia (also 60hz). My experience with that TV was the motion blur was barely noticeable, so when I bought the Samsung, I expected a similar experience. This is not the case. The blue is REALLY noticeable and can be quite distracting depending on the program or source. Blu-rays and DVD's don't give me the problem to the same degree as watching Direct TV. That said, at the end of the day, the screen size/image quality at this price point balances everything out and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

For $784 you can't do any better then this TV. Free shipping, no interest financing and no tax. Picture wise; in comparison to my previous Samsung TV (Plasma) for which I paid $1,200 3 years ago it's slightly better. In comparison to other cheaper LCDs such as the Insignia from Best Buy this wins hands down. Blacks are actually black unlike on other cheaper LCDs where they appear to be gray. The automatic "real time" brightness adjustment helps out too when the light changes. I have this TV hooked up to my PS3 for Blu-Ray playback as well as gaming. Furthermore, I used the PC input to hook up my computer; I am extremely happy that, unlike my previous TV it maintains the 16:9 aspect ratio without stretching the screen (before I had to use DVI to HDMI to maintain the aspect ratio using up one of the HDMIs where now I can use the analog [VGA] and it works flawlessly). - Lcd Hdtv - 46 Inch - 1080p - Samsung'

Swim Diaper

The surface of the Finis swim diaper is 100% polyester and supposedly chlorine-resistant. The 100% nylon lining does a good job keeping urine in, but we don't know yet whether a BM will be contained well. Hopefully that'll never happen, though.

Here are the different sizes and corresponding age and weight ranges (taken from the packaging):

Small: 3-6 mos, 9-15 lbs.

Medium: 6-12 mos, 12-22 lbs.

Large: 12-18 mos, 22-28 lbs.

XLarge: 18-24 mos, 28-33 lbs.

XXLarge: 24-30 mos, 33-38 lbs.

3T: 36 mos, 34-41 lbs.

4T: 48 mos, 38-45 lbs.

The made-in-Malaysia quality seems decent. We'll see how durable it is. Hand-wash only. FINIS Boy's Swim Diapers (Blue Octopus, X-Large)

I did order 1 weight category more than my sons current weight because he was right on the edge the diaper fit him great when we got it. as many ppl have already said it is not meant to be absorbent nor is it supposed to hold poo in for long periods while in the water. I put the diaper on my son at the pool right before we enter the water and then change him back to a regular diaper before leaving the pool. My son has not yet pooed in the diaper and hopefully never will but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a second diaper so you can immediately change the diaper after you have a poop one because like it or not the water will start to break the poop down and it will eventually leak.(that will happen with any swim diaper cloth or disposable). I gave this diaper a 4out of 5 instead of a 5 beacuse it would be nice to have detachable side for easier changes. but the price, fit, and functionality are all great.

In an effort to create less trash, I decided to buy reusable swim diapers. I used these most of the summer and loved them. I knew a poop in one of these would be bad, but I had no idea. I avoided it at all costs by using a disposable swim diaper before my son "did his business" and these reusable ones after. Sadly, this system failed me miserably and I was left with the MOST disgusting poop-mess known to all. And yes, I've seen a lot of poop. You cannot detach the sides (as you can with a disposable swim diaper), therefore your only course of action is to pull it, along with all of the poop, down your child's legs. I went through my entire container of wipes along with my friend's trying to clean the poop off myself and my child. This diaper went promptly into the trash. I've switched back to disposable swim-diapers and I'm never going back (unless I find a reusable swim-diaper that detaches on both sides of the leg). BEWARE!

These fit and look nice. I ordered a size bigger than needed thinking that they may run small but they don't. They also wash well. Definately worth the price...and so much cuter than the disposable swim diapers!

We had previously used a swim diaper from Walmart - got them at the beginning of the summer and since my son has grown and they are too tight on his thighs. Got this a few weeks ago. Ordered a Large - he is 2 and weighs 25 lbs. He's on the thinner side and the large fits perfectly. For the first time ever he pooped last week. These held it all in perfectly! We didn't even know til we took off his trunks and saw the discoloration in the swim diaper. Did what it was supposed to do and we are pleased. Good price too. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because as many reviewers have said and as I experienced, it isn't really true to size, you have to just go by your kids weight instead of age.

We have had one of these for a month now and our son loves wearing it, which is half the battle. He hasn't pooped in it, so I can't vouch for it's worthiness, but it seems like it would do the job. He is pretty well potty trained, but we don't want to take any chances.

We had to return our first purchase because it was too small. Our son is 3, but he is only 26 pounds and quite slim. The XL did not fit at all; it was much too small and uncomfortable for him. The XXL is doing the job well. We are buying another for his brother.

We've used this swim diaper in XL (rated 28-33 lbs on the packaging) on my 17m old son daily for the last couple of weeks.

The Function: As another reviewer noted, swim diapers are purchased by weight range, not by age. Thought I'd also note for anyone buying a swim diaper for the first time (that was me, last year) that swim diapers, cloth or disposable, aren't meant to be absorbent in the normal diaper sense: They are meant to a liner with a semi-plasticized outer which fit quite tight on the legs and waist so that any released BM is contained. The caretaker is supposed to get the child out of the water pretty quickly at that point for a quick change. As a note, this diaper does dry quickly, even when the relative humidity is quite high.

The Fit: My son is tall and slim: 35" tall, weighs 27lbs. I'm happy with the fit of the XL (rated 28-33 lbs on the packaging, 26-33lbs on the tag inside the diaper), and for once, he may be able to use it for the entire summer swim season. The legs and waist are still fairly snug but I'm not sure how much they would "contain" if a loose BM was deposited in them but he, of course, is slightly under the recommended weight range, according to the packaging. Interestingly enough, the tag inside the diaper itself says 26-33lbs, but I would say a 28lb start weight range is more accurate, and would following the packaging. Similar to other swim diapers we've used, I would expect that this diaper will be tighter and tighter on the legs and waist as the child goes up towards the end of the weight range. So in short, my assessment is that the XL fits true to size, and I'm suggesting that the 30-33lb child might find this diaper fits tightly enough for containment, and the lighter end of the weight range child might not have the most protection.... In any case, we don't expect to experience this diaper under actual `battle conditions', my son is kinda particular about where he goes, and we're using it under a toddler wetsuit, so we have a second layer of containment. I'll update once we've been using the diaper for another little while.

We have the "Blue Octopus" design and it is very cute. My son seems to enjoy wearing it (well, he doesn't object, and based on his response seems to know he's going swimming shortly). I didn't notice any chafing or irritation with it, and he would wear it for about 1.5 hours a day (we think he might be part fish). We're okay with it not having a side opening mechanism (although I would expect that a side opening would definitely be a desirable feature if the diaper were soiled....). Diaper peels off of him ok once wet. We've even put it on him damp, and it wasn't that difficult to pull onto his legs. In short, we're happy with it even though he's slightly under the weight range, and I'm considering getting him another one for the summer swim season.'

Sorels Winter Snow Boots - sorel, sorels winter snow boots

These boots (Sorel Conquest) are awesome! Yes, if you stand around for a hours, not moving your feet, they will get a little cold. But so far I have worn them to -38 degree weather for about 5 hours while I was hunting here in Alaska. My feet were on fire and sweaty by the time I get them off. And that's wearing boot socks, not thick winter socks. After 17 years in the military I thought I wouldn't EVER wear anything but Danner's on my feet, but I have to hand it to Sorel with these boots. So far they are awesome. I tell everyone that ask about them, if they like there feet to be warm and toasty when it's cold outside they should buy them. And trust me, here around Fairbanks we know what cold is! (-40 to -60) Sorel Men's Conquest NM1049 Boot,Bark,14 M

Sizing: Feels half size too small

Pros:Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Warm, Water Resistant

Best Uses:Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Stadium, Wet Weather

This is a great cold weather boot. Wear them for winter hiking, camping, or to a cold football game. There is a shorter, lighter, but not quite as warm version, the Sorel Timberwolf. Of course you should apply waterproofing to any boot such as Niwax. Finally, warm boots won't help if you do not layer with good long underwear and hat or balaclava.

I purchased these about three years ago and walk in them mostly. They have split at the seam between the leather and the rubber. They were sized properly, but the design is poor, and if you flex them much, the seams come apart. Too bad, because they were a nice boot for 1 year. The second year, they started to split and this year they are not useable and have been replaced.I was hoping they might have redesigned them, but it appears they are the same construction.I will choose a different design of waterproof boot.If you are active in your boots, look for a different model.

I have a size 15 foot, so I'm typically not very picky when it comes to shoes. This boot, however, seemed to be lacking because it seems to focus more on looks than function - and looks are the last thing I care about when I'm clomping around in the woods on a cold/wet/snowy day:).

Even though they didn't work out for me, I do think these boots look pretty nice. They also seem like they would be fairly warm; although, I sent them back before I wore them in really cold weather.

Here are the main problems I had with these boots:

1) They are a major pain to lace up. There are no speed-lace hooks which makes it really hard to get these laced up tight. If you just want to pull them on and off quickly, they will feel more like a snow/PAC boot - which is fine if that's what you are looking for.

2) The achilles adjustment strap helps to overcome the crummy lacing system, but the clips feel extremely cheap. I suspect the clips wouldn't last long before breaking if you tighten them up enough to be useful.

3) The barrel lock closure actually seems like a great idea on a boot like this. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it even close to tightening up enough to keep moisture out - the best I could do was a 1/2" gap all the way around (at least for my skinny legs:)).

After trying these boots out, I decided to go with the Columbia Bugaboot for about the same price. Those don't look as cool, but they sure do work better since I can lace them up quickly and then take off hiking. The Columbia boots also have 50% more insulation (600g vs 400g), yet fit more like a hiking boot rather than a snow boot.

Overall, I guess I'd have to recommend these with reservations. For occasional use while shoveling the driveway they would work great - but if you plan to take them into the woods I would look elsewhere.

This boot is warm and has decent build quality. It is bigger than it looks, though. I bought it partly because I was hoping for a warm boot that wasn't as loose and "galumphy" as a traditional pac boot. I was looking for something that fit more securely and was a bit lighter - more a warm hiking boot. This boot has full laces but you can't realy make it snug like a hiking boot. It is closer to a pac boot than a hiking boot.

The gaiter "keeper" bites your shin if you don't have enough pant/padding stuffed into the boot.

They are warm and comfortable, and over all a decent boot - but they don't have removable liners and quite the same ease of off/on as a pac boot, and they don't fit as securely or comfortably as a hiking boot. They are clearly a compromise.

I bought this boot for my husband and they arrived this week, just in time for all the snow. When he came in from snowblowing, his feet were still warm and dry as if he were just going out!! Perfect for him, he said he love these boots and that they are very, very comfortable. So if you are looking for a good warm and waterproof boot that's not heavy, these boots are what you are looking for. Perfect for all of this Chicago snow we are having now!

than other boots I have purchased. I got them for a great price on Amazon, so maybe that impacts what I expected, but I was very pleased. I bought three pair of shoes from Amazon including these at the same time. These are by far the most comfortable and best made. I love them.

As far as fit goes, some said they run large. I don't think they do. Mine fit perfectly. A pair of Columbia shoes I bought are an inch shorter in the same size and are way way too tight. And interestingly enough, on that shoe, buyers are complaining they run way too small.

Not sure what Sorels were before, but I like them now. :-) - Boots - Sorel - Winter Boots - Sorels Winter Snow Boots'

Stereoscopic

Still playing with the device but considering the pricepoint, I think I will be fairly satisfied with the device.

Pros : The 3D quality is better then I thought it would be, it really does a decent job and with the mini HDMI connection, it's pretty quick to watch it on your 3DTV. There isn't nearly the level of ghosting that I would have expected given it was a 250$ 3D recording device. I went in thinking I wouldn't get that level of 3D. Non 3D movies shot in HD end up looking very nice as well. I've had a flip and two kodaks of this class type in the past and this was the best quality out of all of them. Also, one thing most of the compact devices lack is any sort of light/flash, it's nice to have a little help in low light situations with the built in led light. The menus are easy enuf to navigate thru and I love have seperate dedicated buttons for pics or video. I like the integrated usb slide out dongle. The unit itself seems to have a good quality build to it.

Cons : No optical zoom in any mode, no zooming digital or optical in 3D mode. The optical I get, I don't think anything in this class does but the 3d no digital zoom is dissapointing. Also, it is supposed to have some image stabilization but I found this part of it to be poor too, videos in the upper hd modes can get very jittery. In playback mode, there is no slideshow or auto play feature I can find which is a shame. If you have a bunch of mini clips recorded and are trying to watch on the tv, you will have to get up and manually play each clip. Also, I wish, especially with this device having two lenses, there was some lens cover implementation. The led light is not of the quality of lets say the iphone 4 one, it's nice to have but it does not make this a flash camera or flash video device. As stated in the other review, the 3d screen is very, very poor, almost unusable in 3D mode. The 3DS screens in video mode are just as bad though in my opinion. Battery life does seem to be poor in 3D mode, average in non 3d use. Quite a bit of my cons I can understand given the class of device it is, hence only the one star ding. I just wanted to portray all the negatives I had come up against so far.

Not con nor pro : Stills are average per class usual, software provided is average

I didn't test out the sharing options although it seems to have a wealth of them. Also, in non U.S. territories, there is also a package sold with a panaramic 360 degree view add on device. The manual talks about it. As far as I can tell, this device is not sold seperately anywhere yet, and the combo package is not offered natively in the U.S.

End of the day, content and 3D integration is still pretty limited for 3DTV users and in that scenario, I reccomend it to 3DTV purchasers as another way to get some bang for their buck from their 3dTV purchase. That said, would I buy this if I didn't have a 3dTV? No way, the 3d screen is too poor for that to be the only method of your 3d watching of your content and sans the 3d, all the rest of the features are offered on their lesser costing versions of the bloggie. Sony Bloggie 3D Camera (Black)

Sony's first 3D camera makes a good impression but leaves room for improvement. The 3D Bloggie takes good quality 1080P 2D and 3D video that may be uploaded to Youtube & Facebook with just a few clicks. This camera supports Youtube 3D. Video recorded in 3D mode will automatically be displayed in 3D on Youtube and viewed with colored glasses, 3D devices, or just plain 2D.

The stereo 3D effect is good although not as strong or versatile as the Fuji W3 camera. Sony can shoot 3D at closer distances than the Fuji, and seems suitable for close ups and 3D Video Blogging.

The LCD looks poor in 3D mode, small and pixelated, does not show much 3D effect or pop out.

The 3D Bloggie is a good choice for anyone that has access to a 3DTV or 3D Monitor. It can play back 3D video directly to a 3DTV using it's built in mini HDMI port, Video looks good on a 3DTV. Photos and Video may also be viewed in 3D on the PC using a program called Stereoscopic player.

Pros: Highest resolution 3D video in its class (960x1080 lines per eye), small, light & easy to use, side by side 3D format may be edited and shared easily, built in USB port, 60FPS 720HD(2D) 1080P(2D), low cost, built in memory.

Cons: Small and poor quality Viewfinder (in 3D mode), short battery life in 3D mode (less than an hour), no flash, replaceable battery, lens cover, optical zoom, 3D Adjustment.

VS the Fuji W3: Fuji's 3D LCD is fantastic. Fuji takes higher quality pictures and has more features.

I just got this and was playing with it. The output can be put onto an iphone/ipod touch with the Hasbro my3D adapter.

Much better than the screen Sony has built into it.

You need a software package to split the MPO stills into side-by-side images (do a simple google search) but those can be displayed as well.

If you are looking for 3d stills, I would suggest the fuji W3. Double the price, but a great 3d camera. If you are looking for something quick and dirty, the Sony is decent for the price, outside of the awful built in display.

I got this camera because I am interested in 3d, and I have to say, I am quite impressed! It takes 5mp stills and full hd movies, as well as the option for 3d. The depth effect is very good. Also, I wanted to say that even though some other reviewers said there isn't any good software for it, there is plenty of great PC and mac software for processing and viewing 3d photos and videos, some of which is free. For creating red/cyan anaglyphs as well as many other formats, I recommend StereoPhotoMaker ([...]). If you prefer the ColorCode (yellow-blue) anaglyph format and want automatic ghost and retinal rivalry reduction, you probably want ColorCode 3-D Editor (48euros at time of writing, [...]). For creating videos, you can use VLMC, a free, open source video maker by VideoLan, the makers of VLC Media Player (free, [...]). For editing the 3d effect in 3d videos, get StereoMovieMaker (free, [...]). For viewing 3d videos, you can try StereoMoviePlayer (free, [...]), Stereoscopic Player (39euros at time of writing, 3dtv.at), and ColorCode 3-D Player (80euros at time of writing, [...]). I would recommend all of this software, although it seems as though there is a pretty strong trend towards the higher priced products being better.

The only cons I have noticed when using the camera is that there is no zoom in 3d mode. Sony, If you are reading this, I would LOVE to have a firmware update that would let you zoom in 3d mode. Also, the battery life is not particularly impressive.'

Christian Movie - christianity, family

Jason Stevens (Drew Fuller) is a trust fund baby--he's eaten from a silver spoon his entire life. At his grandfather Red's funeral he makes a showy (and late) entrance, perhaps punctuating his low opinion of the man. But from his grave Red (James Garner) has words for his money hungry relatives at the reading of his will. No one gets what they expect, including Jason.

In a closed conference room with only his grandfather's trusted attorney (Bill Cobbs) and secretary (Lee Meriwether) in attendance, Jason is advised by Red via a video recording that he's being given a series of gifts. The catch? He isn't told what the gifts are, only that he's to arrive at the airport and await further instructions. Is this his grandfather's form of a joke, or is Red Stevens trying to reach out and teach him things he never learned from his materialistic family?

Based on a novella by noted motivational speaker and author Jim Stovall, the filmmakers endeavored to preserve the heart of his story while still producing a relevant movie. Says screenwriter Cheryl McKay in an interview conducted by Rene Gutteridge who wrote the novelization of the screenplay, "The biggest challenge was figuring out how to handle all the gifts and not come off with a movie that felt episodic. We had to blend a couple of them together and de-emphasize a couple of them because twelve is a lot to cover in a two-hour movie."

Winner of the Heartland Film Festival's Crystal Heart Award, The Ultimate Gift features an Oscar worthy cast. Drew Fuller (best known for his recurring role as Chris Halliwell in Charmed) pulls off Jason's cockiness and spoiled brat ways, but also believably portrays his transformed self. His facial expressions alone made me laugh out loud a few times. Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, Signs) could easily have over played her character Emily, but she doesn't, and she wins our hearts in the process. Ali Hillis (Must Love Dogs) is another notable cast member as Jason's love interest and Emily's mother. No one hits it out of the ball park, but you can still win a game without home runs, and The Ultimate Gift is a winner.

The Ultimate Gift is a predictable film you somehow want to be predictable. Its PG rating allows for a few mild swear words and tense thematic moments, but this is really a movie the whole family can enjoy.

From the vast acres of a Texas ranch to the wilds of a South American jungle, Jason's assumptions about his grandfather, and himself, will never be the same. And even though you'll most likely guess the film's ending, it's the journey that matters. We're taken on an exciting one with Jason as he discovers not only the ultimate gift, but what type of a man he's truly capable of being.

--Reviewed by C.J. Darlington for TitleTrakk The Ultimate Gift

The Ultimate Gift' is a fun and surprising inspirational gem. Not knowing quite what to expect, the movie quickly develops an emotional and entertaining core. Often funny, sad, mysterious, and uplifting in different measures, the film pulls out a unique bag of tricks. Sort of like the `Willy Wonka' of spiritual cinema, `The Ultimate Gift' is more than a "Hallmark" Christian experience.

It all begins after the death of oil tycoon, Red Stevens (James Garner) who has left videotapes for his family. Gathered around the conference table in his lucrative company headquarters, all members wait on pins and needles to see what they will inherit from him. Crassly, the greedy family can't help but commiserate over the lack of possessions he's bequeathed to them. As his custom, Jason (Drew Fuller), his black sheep grandson, comes late to the proceedings, fully expecting nothing, but wanting to make sure nonetheless. What he gets is a treasure hunt. If he performs a series of feats for the edification of his board of trustees, he will win "the ultimate gift". Heading that board is fellow associate Mr. Hamilton (Bill Cobbs), who anchors the whole deal as a living negotiator. If Jason flubs on any one of the "assignments," he loses the gift.

A lot of the proceedings depend a great deal on Red predicting what Jason will do next during the videotape. It works admirably and there's enough good humor to smooth out the edges of our disbelief. Events are often unpredictable, and the acting ranges from genuine to genuinely good. Particularly noteworthy is Abigail Breslan (Oscar nominated child prodigy from 'Little Miss Sunshine') who gives another fine performance as Emily, a sick girl with a sharp tongue, but a good heart. Reflecting on God and heaven, she sagely says, "He paints every color of a butterfly with His fingers."

The movie also brings the welcome return of Brian Dennehy as Gus, his relative from Texas. Some of the funniest parts are taken from his Southern mansion. One scene where he is rudely awakened by an electric cattle prod left me in stitches. Sometimes the relatives become caricatures, but that's few and far between. At one holiday dinner, an argument ensues and one woman tartly states "Money's just as green from Manhattan." The pace is wonderfully edited with the last portion slightly too languorous in places--even if the film needs to stop and reflect awhile. With these minor objections out of the way, the movie is wonderfully nourishing for the heart and soul.

Some controversy remains for the spiritual nature of the film. Glancing over some reviews, I found some critics becoming defensive for any favorable take on the movie. Christianity is sprinkled throughout. During work "Gotta Serve Somebody" plays from Dylan's Christian era, and a romantic dinner scene "Lord of the Dance" is cleverly piped in with acoustical guitars at a fancy restaurant. At the hospital, Emily frequents the chapel where Jason tells her the Sacred Heart statue shows Jesus' open arms to embrace her. Critics apologetically (or defensively) say that Jesus is only mentioned once in the whole movie. I don't personally think anyone should have to defend a movie for being overtly Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, or whatever. "Pain is your teacher," says Red to Jason on the videotape before going to the great beyond. This could be said in an Asian movie. 'The Ultimate Gift' is overtly Christian, but inclusive. Another objection may come with the points of wisdom provided at the end. While I enjoyed the elaboration, some may find the lesson condescending--an unnecessary Sunday school highlighter pen review.

With all my lowered expectations, 'The Ultimate Gift' is a surprise. The comedic timing is great, the mystery is fun, and the emotional trek is worthwhile. (Based on a novel by Jim Stovall.) - Christianity - Family Movie - Inspiring - Family'

Universal Laptop Ac Adapter - laptop power adapters, notebook power adapters

The most important specifications for a universal power supply are output voltage and current. Both are missing in the specifications here, and on the web site for the manufacturer. Going to the FAQs on that web site --- this is a 65W power supply. It may not be enough for some models of the vendors they have tips for. Aluratek Universal Power Adapter for Notebook

I was tired of climbing behind the desk at my office and home office so I bought this power adapter so I could have two power adapters

I was worried that a universal Toshiba tip would guarantee compatibility but my worries were unfounded.

This product works great and I am keeping the tips so I can change it if I change my computer.

Great product and great price.

The plastic tip where the plug goes into the adapter partially broke. Now I have to twist and angle it perfectly to get it to charge, basically I have to buy a new one or go insane every time I plug it in. There is no good reason this plastic part should have broken as I've only had it about 6 months.

I have an hp pavilion laptop dv- something or other... and it worked fine. Not exactly, but for the most part. Ever since I moved up north my laptop started crashing with the blue screen and noticed when I took it other place it lasted longer so I figured it had to be either 1) the adapter or 2) the outlet... So I purchased a new adapter, and still crashed. But when I traveled back down to FL it worked fine. So now my laptop resides in FL where it works :) - Notebook Power Adapters - Laptop - Laptop Power Adapters - Chargers'

Postpartum Support - pregnancy, maternity belt

I ordered this product after doing much research about abdominal binding after pregnancy. I am very petite and did not gain much excess weight (except a BIG stomach)and had concerns about my waistline after delivery. I ordedred the size small first and needed the extra small less than 2 weeks of wearing the small. I am 5 weeks ouut now and the x-small is no longer effective. I am pleased with the results however I still have some belly "pudging". I am sure that with some exercise and right eating I will lose the excess. Pros: Great for initial loss of post-partum abdominal swelling; Great back support (especially for c-section). Cons: It is possible to go through 3 sizes in 4 weeks which can be expensive; Shows underneath clothing. Belly Bandit-Original (S, Nude)

I noticed a difference when I wore this! I really think that it helped my belly go down faster. I gave it 3 stars because it's expensive and should be more adjustable. It is a little uncomfortable but it really is just a velcro girdle so that is expected. To help make it more comfortable, I wore it over a cami.

This one did the job but I would go with the latest version- I think it's called the BFF? The newer one is more adjustable and isn't just a straight wrap.

I got this bandit later than they recommended... about 4 weeks post pregnancy. I wish I would have had it sooner when I was dropping 10 & 15 lbs a week, But it still works. It holds everything up and together so my shirts look better on me, and I'm not so conscious of my tummy. As I lose more weight I can see my belly shrink and not sag. I'll probably wear it for much much longer since I wasn't able to get it as quickly as I would have liked. On the down side, it wrinkles from continuous wear, and those are hard to get out, even after washing. Also, results are not dramatic, they are minimal, so don't think this is the "fix" you need to eat right and exercise too!

I personally love this product. I used a regular ace-bandage kind of thing with my daughter and it was awkward and didn't give me the results I wanted. So far, this is week 2, I have seen a huge difference with the Belly Bandit. The thing I like the most is that it's easy to put and doesn't move around too terribly much like the bandage did. I'm already a lot smaller than I was at this point after my first pregnancy. I really would recommend it for anyone who wants to get back in shape quickly and doesn't want to have a pooch left over. Belly wrapping is a great way to feel secure after having a baby, plus it helps you look and feel better too.

I like this product, not love. Think I would have been better off with the bamboo one because I read it was softer. Definitely holds in my tummy, and I won't leave the house without it because I would feel too jiggly. I had a C-section, so my incision still hurts even 4 weeks later, so I feel I can only where this BandIt for 6 hours a day, not all day and night. It does crinkle slightly at bottom from sitting. Overall, I think I got what I paid for. - Pregnancy - Maternity Belt - Postpartum Support - Postpartum'

Wrinkle Resistant

I've bought Haggar khakis for years, finding them to be of better quality than Levis Dockers. However, the quality of these pants has taken a serious nosedive just in the past year. I bought 2 pair last Fall (2009) and the hem at the bottom showed fraying after only a few months. The fraying only got worse and the hems are now completely threadbare. The pleats at mid-shin didn't fare much better and began to fray even sooner than the hems.

Additionally, the expandable strap on one pair simply snapped and detached from the inside of the waistband. I was able to fix it temporarily but I don't expect it to last.

After years of wearing such a sturdy product, it's intensely disappointing to see Haggar jump on the lower-quality bandwagon seemingly to save money in production. Haggar Men's Work To Weekend Expandable Waist Pleated Twill Pant,Khaki,34x29

Fabric is a little coarser than I hoped it would be and than it appeared in the on line picture. Pants catch a lot of lint but fit good. I'd appreciate more choice in styles for a 31" in seam. Most pants are only available with odd number inseams to 29, then only even numbers. 32 hits the floor for me and 30 is too short. I'm glad these pants were available in 31 and they fit fine, but will look for a smoother fabric and hope to see more choice in 31".

I bought these pants to wear at the office, and the toughest physical work I did wearing them was sitting in a chair. Despite that, they've become worn through in two different spots in the back. I've never had pants get worn so quickly, after just a few months use.

I wish I could get my money back, but unfortunately their warranty doesn't cover holes.'

Halloween Party Ideas - decorating, halloween book

I am a working mom with not much free time so I was looking for a book with quick and easy craft ideas that I could make with my young daughter. This book is full of great inventive ideas for making simple and cute decorations for the home, easy costumes ideas and yummy snacks that are Halloween themed. We plan on making some of the decorations this weekend. And we are bringing the moody monster muffins and creepy crawlers to a friend's party! Halloween Tricks and Treats (Better Homes & Gardens Crafts)

Very nice book on great ideas for Halloween! Of course it does not include ALL of B&G's ideas, because they want you to visit their website and buy their magazines, etc...but for me, this is perfect. LOVE it!!

Not that I did not like it at all, but I expected much more, maybe because I am not American and I was not sure what I was buying. There are some nice ideas, but in general, nothing that I have not seen around before and no easy projects to do with kids or so...

Don't get me wrong, i did enjoy this book. But i expected a little more out of Better Homes and Gardens. I ordered this at the same time as Matthew Mead's Monster Book of Halloween and to be honest i got a lot more ideas out of Matthew Mead's book. I collect Halloween decorating books so i might be overly critical. I do think this is a good book for anyone starting a collection or for a family as well. Lots of cute ideas!

I am sure its a very good book,I bought it so I could use it for Halloween and get some good ideas for the season.buuuuuuuuuuuut, the book hasen't arrivede yet. Wonder where it's at

It's the first time ever that a book hasn't shown. - Seasonal - Decorating - Halloween Book - Halloween Party Ideas'
