Jewelry Organizer
I was tired of chains, necklaces and pendants getting tangled up on my hanging jewelry holder that also has earrings. Now with these trays, it fits all my necklaces and pendants - there's a place at the end for the pendant portion on a chain. They are good quality clear acrylic with a velvet like material for the jewelry and fit in my drawer just right. I have looked elsewhere and couldn't find anything that was just right! Axis 3322 Stack 'em Jewelry Organizer Necklace and Bracelet Tray
These trays are great for organizing your jewelry. I bought 3 different styles & stacked them in a drawer. Very easy to pull out & see everything, yet the jewelry is stored away in flocked compartments which will keep them from getting scratched or damaged.
The three jewelry offered by Axis 3322 are really useful in organizing what was formally a heap of items into a useful and visible collection. Overall size is the individual is a bit awkward but well worth the convenience.
We bought a half dozen of these types of organizers, and they work great in a bathroom drawer. THey stack on top of each other, and slide so that you can access the trays below. Very happy with this purchase.'

Organizers
I have bought a couple different versions of these trays to organize much of my wife's jewelry. The quality, fit and finish are all good, they stack neatly and slide easily forward/backward. I need to buy more and will stick with this brand. Both the wife and I like them for storing jewelry within a safe. Axis 3331 Stack 'em Jewelry Organizer Catch-All Tray
Purchased this for my mom who has more jewelry then she knows what to do with. This works very well to keep all her necklaces from getting tangled together. She's keeping it in a drawer and using the plastic case as a lid. Very nice product and she loves it also. Great price too. It came packaged very well and was delivered quickly.'

Laptop Cooling Pad - laptop cooling pad, notebook cooler
Few things in life amaze me to the point to which i write a review but here geos: This is a long review but really worth reading explains everything.
I've had it for a week now and i just want to say it honestly exceeded my expectations. This thing works so well its unbeleivable, i thought it wouldn't really work but my previous laptop cooler broke down so i decided to try because i didn't wanna spend alot of money. This thing is just great lifes your laptop and makes it great for typing much more comfortable, i guarantee a 100% that your laptop will be much much cooler and all overheating problems will be eliminated. But you will have no heating problems if your fan just works properly. It lifts it up properly so it allows the air to be circulated. Just wanted to clarify what other low rating reviews failed to justify, yes this thing is tiny i mean i have a 17 inch laptop and i can pretty much tell you this thing isn't huge i would give it like 11 inches. But it is small for a reason it doesn't cover the fan vents which are under your laptop usually on the far left side, so the air will come out with no problems whatso ever. Second thing it is very safe it will hold your laptop up and it most definetly will not slip unless you positioned it wrong in the first place. Overall, exceeded my expectation for the price and i can tell from 2 years of experience with laptop coolers it works 10x times better.
This would make a really great purchase. Cool Lift
The product does work which is why I gave it a 3 but I do have some complaints...
1. If I didn't have a lap table with a lip on it the laptop could slip off of this item. I think it should be made out of rubber instead of the foam. Also, a lip on the bottom end of it would be much better.
2. The bottom of the product is smooth and could slide down a tilted table causing your laptop to crash to the floor. How likely, probably not very but your laptop could tumble. (Say if you had it on a lap table and bent down slightly to pick up a pencil... bye bye computer) I think using rubber and texturizing this product would help immensely with the slipage.
3. Definitely would not work for those that want to use their laptops directly on their laps.
4. I have a 15" laptop and it is quite a bit smaller than my laptop. Could be at least 4" wider.
5. Partially covers the one air vent on the bottom of my laptop.
The basic concept does work. So, it really is just a matter of I got what I paid for. Next time I'll pay a few extra bucks for a more detailed laptop lifter.
This product will help any person that works with a laptop on a desk. After about 15 minutes of your computer running you can defiantly feel the heat being radiated by your computer. Just like a car you do not want your computer over heating. This product lifts it off of your desk just enough to create circulation under your laptop. Another bonus is that it puts the key board of your laptop at a much more comfortable angle to type at. You simply cannot beat this for the price. It is a well justifiable purchase.
I had my doubts when I first bought one of these. But now I am hooked and have bought several to give away as present to friends and family who own laptops and it makes a huge difference. No more overheating! Absolutely worth it!
you have to position laptop just right to get any cooling from this pad. And even when in exact position you only get minimul cooling
my laptop fan still runs constant to cool so I have found a USB port Fan cooler is much better and not as loud as my laptop fan trying to cool itself all the time
Put your money toward a USP fan cooler instead
AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS this was awful - the "bumps" that are suppose to hold up your laptop were all smooshed down so no airflow at all - another item for the trash can :(
I work with my laptop on a stationary desk and my laptop is constantly slipping off of it. The entirety of the product is smooth so the lifts don't grip the laptop and the bottom is subject to slide around on the desk.
Honestly, it turned out to be a waste of my money because every few minutes, I had to adjust the computer and reposition it on the pad. It's also pretty cheaply made. $10 turned out to be too much for it.
Before I got this product, I elevated my laptop using a sharpie and it actually worked a lot better than this. - Laptop Holder - Notebook Cooler - Laptop Accessories - Laptop Cooling Pad'

Spinning Bike - cycling, spin
I've been a spinning instructor for 10 years. I just had a baby and I'm taking some time away from the gym but want to stay fit. I bought 3 of these bikes; one for me and two for some of my clients to use in my home gym. I'm very impressed so far and so are my clients. This bike is just as sturdy as any spinning bikes that I've used in a gym. I would highly recommend it. The only draw back was that the seat was too tall for me even on the lowest setting. My husband drilled an extra hole in the post (yes, there is plenty of room) and the height is now fine. I would strongly recommend this bike to anyone. I would compare it to bikes that are in the $1000+ category. I'm very impressed! As far as assembly, it took about 20 minutes to assemble. Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling Bike
I recently purchased the Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling bike. I've used it a few times and I'm very happy that I went with this bike. I can't talk about other comparably priced bikes on the market ($250-$500 range), but I don't think you can go wrong with this particular bike if you're not looking to spend over a $1000 on a decent spinning bike.
I'm not a hardcore spinner, but I've gone to enough classes at different gyms to know that this bike performs just as well as the $1000+ ones I've used at commercial gyms. It has the same feel as those bikes, and that's something I wasn't sure I'd get in a bike that cost far less.
Here are some bullet points on the bike:
-Quick delivery
-box was a little torn in the corners when I received it. I recommend opening it up and checking on it's condition. I actually sent back the first one I received because I felt bent metal when I reached in the torn hole. However, I decided to open up the second one and discovered that the bent metal was a "protective piece" to prevent damage to the front of the bike. Just be careful when you open it just in case there is a problem and you have to tape the box up and send back!
-I'm 5'11" and 190 pounds and I had no problem adjusting the seat and handle bars to get to a comfortable and proper riding position.
-the wheel spins smoothly and the resistance is consistent and ample. The breaking lever works great as well.
I bought a magnetic resistance bike a few years ago and it's currently dismantled and collecting dust. If you're undecided between the two, take it from me, go with the "spin class" type bike! You don't need a calorie or distance counter...if you don't feel like you're working or not sweating, you'll know it. If you need a heart rate monitor, go with one of the watch ones...they're more accurate than holding onto a cardio machine's handlebars to get a reading.
Overall, 5 out of 5 for this bike. I'm sure more expensive ones have more options or gadgets that may be useful for the hardcore spinners, but if you're like me and into spinning but don't need the extras and the added cost to get them, then go with this bike.
My spouse and I are avid multi-sports athletes and wanted a bike for conditioning over the winter. Spin classes are great, but it's hard to make time to get to the gym. We bought this bike a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $285. We didn't pay any shipping charges and it arrived within a week. It took roughly 30 minutes to put together and everything was packaged well. If you buy one, you will need a can of WD40 to get the front handle-bar post into the slot - it is a very tight fit, and now the handle bars don't really move up and down. That's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. It is very sturdy and quiet. The tension adjustment is surprisingly smooth, even better than some of the spin bikes in class. It doesn't come with a water bottle holder...you can buy a handlebar adaptor and cage for about $10 at a bike store. You might also want to get a slip-on gel bike seat while you're there if you plan on riding it for over 30 minutes at a time. Overall, this bike is built and functions like one twice the price!
I ordered this over the weekend, and it arrived Tuesday (thanks to $4 overnight shipping with Prime). This review is mostly my initial reaction; I'll update it as I use the equipment more. I'm a new spinner, but this bike seems as well-built as the ones I saw locally for over three times the price. The Sunny bike is made in China.
Overall, the bike is well-constructed. Fit and finish is good. My initial couple of rides have shown the bike to be stable and quiet. The brake is nice when you need to stop quickly. Not every spin bike I've seen has it. I'll replace the seat with a more comfortable one soon.
Mine came with an instruction manual that didn't quite match my own bike's assembly. (Don't look for a bag of hardware, as there isn't one, at least not on my bike.) On mine, there were black steel shipping blocks at either end of the frame (to protect the bike AND the real base). Remove the bolts that hold the black blocks to the frame using the included allen wrench. Then, remove the bolts and washers on the real base parts. Using the bolts and washer, attach the real base parts to the frame. Tighten with the allen wrench. Two wrenches--15mm and 13mm-- (for the pedals and seat, respectively) will save you time and frustration versus the little wrench/screwdriver combo tool they include.
Finally, I will note there was a little side to side play between the handlebar post and frame. To fix: remove the post and wipe the grease off of it (residue from adjustment knob). Then place one layer of durable tape (I used aluminum HVAC tape) on the left and right sides of the post. Reassemble, being careful not to scrape or bunch up the tape. That fixed it for me. Don't use more than one layer, or you'll make the post too big for the frame.
If you are on a budget and want a well-functioning bike to do some spinning workouts at home, then this is a VERY smart purchase! If I closed my eyes and did a "bike test", I wouldn't know the difference between the Sunny and the more expensive spinning bikes in the gym.
I read other reviews before buying my bike and while mostly everyone was satisfied, there were some common complaints:
Squealing From the Fly Wheel When Tension is Increased: Unfortunately this turned out to be a problem with my bike too but it was easily fixed. I was going to spray WD40 on it but thankfully my husband stopped me from doing it. He said wd40 would totally ruin the break pads. So I called a pro bike and repair shop in Reading and they told me to spray a dry silicone lubricant on the pads, not the flywheel. I bought Dupont Teflon Silicone Lubricant at Lowes and it worked like a charm. I don't know if its "dry" as the bike pro suggested, but it worked and now I can spin in the a.m. without waking the kids :)
Seat Discomfort: Due to the consistent dissatisfaction with the seat in most of the reviews, I was prepared to replace the seat once I got my bike. However, I never needed to replace it as the seat hasn't caused any discomfort to my bummy at all. But I imagine a padded seat cover would help anything and is less expensive than buying a new seat.
Some of the other issues were shallow toe cages, and difficulty making adjustments for height or lack of. Maybe they changed the model to accommodate a broader range of sizes because that seat goes from very high to very low. I have long size 9 feet and haven't had an issue with the toe cage. My husband is a size 11 and he's okay with the cages too.
Overall, I think this is the best product for the $. Just remember the Dupont Teflon Silicone Lubricant if you get that terrible squealing thing going on. It's a cheap ($5) and easy fix and you will love your bike! - Spinning - Cycling - Spin - Exercise Bikes'

External Hard Drive Case - sata case, external hard drive case
This was one of the funnier 'electronics' items I ever got and... I like it but anyone considering it should be aware that this case does not travel well - see below.
The most interesting feature about the case is the design, so to speak. If you can imagine your HDD inside a box of Altoids Curiously Strong Mints and you don't mind it being there then this case is for you. There are no screws or hinges or locks and none are needed for as long as your case doesn't move much. What you get is a little tin box where you press the top part on after you literally squeeze in your 2.5 SATA drive and it kind of clicks in and it stays that way because it's not easy to reopen it.
This is great design - how come no one else thought of it? - and I applaud it but, like I said, I would not carry this case in my shirt pocket or even in my laptop bag. Murphy's law being what it is, the lid just might pop open and the HDD may come out and, in the process, maybe damage the case own USB interface or, worse, its own connectors, making itself useless. However, as a stationary external HDD solution, it's tops on the price/performance curve.
- INSTALLATION - Without exaggeration, it took less than 2 minutes, most of the time spent to actually open the empty box because it comes closed. Must be careful with those connectors but that's all. Once you snap in the lid, your drive is encased and ready to use. On a Vista and on a Windows 7 computer it was recognized within seconds.
- CONTENTS - Other than the tin/aluminum case, you get a little USB cable to connect to your computer [mine was junk - see my note below]. It's split for 2 'A' (wider connectors), just in case your HDD needs to draw power from 2 USB ports but my 500GB, 2.5" SATA is happy with just one. You should make sure that your HDD is connected to a 'powered' USB port - some USB port splitters/hubs do not power all or some of their ports. There is also a postage-sized manual that discusses setup under Windows 98 or Windows 2000 and when it's safe to disconnect the drive - the English is a solid B+. I don't believe I found any warranty promises but warranties on items this inexpensive are silly to begin with. There is also some cheap neoprene-like pouch, presumably to be used while traveling. It's actually a good thing to have, IF you insist on taking your encased disc on the road because it improves the odds of keeping the whole thing together - remember, there are no screws.
- PERFORMACE - For a stationary drive, it fully meets my expectation. The interface is USB 2.0 so you should expect way over 100MB/s when it comes to data rates. The aluminum/tin case, being metal, is quite good at dissipating heat and the disc seems to be running pretty cool inside.
I am very happy with this inexpensive case and I will consider getting more if I end up with more loose 2.5" SATAs (it happens when you upgrade or your old laptop turns obsolete) and decide to use them as stationary external HDDs or simply to store the discs and put them away for data archiving while keeping easy access to the data via the USB port.
____________________________
Note:
After posting the review above where the case was used with one of my own USB cable, I actually used the supplied 'free' USB wire and, to my surprise, the disc was either not recognized, I was being prompted to format the perfectly good disc or, from time to time, it WAS recognized. On occasions, the LED would blink red indicating that the the disc was 'writing' something (scary) and it would not stop unless I turned off the computer.
To make the story short, IF you are having trouble connecting the disc to your computer with the supplied USB wire, the first thing you should do is try another USB cable. I hope that most of the USB cables shipped are good but... you never now. I'm taking a star away for the scare I got - asking me to 'format' a perfectly good drive. 2.5" SATA Hard Drive Case (Blue) 500GB Max Capacity
I took the 80 Gig drive from my PS3 out (it's the PS3 that came with MGS4) and put in a 640Gig drive. Then I ordered this little blue firecracker. Cracked open the case (no screws) and slid the drive in (took about 30 seconds). Next, went to the start menu in Windows 7, typed "run" in the search box and typed diskmgmt.msc. Last step - formatted the drive. Now I have an iPod sized 80 Gig drive that cost me about $10. If I need to "secure" this bad boy from cracking open, I guess I could slap some duct tape around it, seem pretty tight though. Bottom line .... this is the case to get if you want to enclose the 2.5 inch drive you take out of your PS3.
This Sata drive is great. I love the fact that it can easily pop open and get your SATA drive in there
fast. No screws are necessary. Easy to check out a bad SATA drive, without needed a screwdriver. A++
It is a very versatile enclosure, you can easily swap SATA drives with no down time, because it doesn't require screws; The only minor complaint I can have is the shipment, the envelope is not enough protected to avoid little dents in the metallic surface; but besides that it is the perfect enclosure for me.
This is a great exteranl drive for the price. Its light weight, easy to open. It work first time with my 250G Western Digital 2.5". Couple things of interest though is that when I loaded a 15G SSD the r/w indicator light stayed red all the time even thought it functioned perfectly as an exteranl drive. Other than that I think it is a great product!
a wonderful item with simple design and ease of instalation and functionality of sata int hd upto 500gb capacity! In this encosure case, the int hd ( mind well only sata ) is fitted in groove and no extra micro screws or s. driver is needed to fit in the enclosure and it is plug n play with only one usb2.0 plug. nothing being hot during operation. imagin all these in a price of only $8( no tax, no shipping),that is only possible at amezon!cheers. - Hdd Enclosure - External Hard Drive Case - Hard Drive Enclosure - Sata Case'

Faux Fur Hat - hats, fur hat
I love this hat. Lightweight, warm and cozy. My only complaint is that the buttons stitched on above the ear flaps seem like they are not very well anchored, and could fall off easily, but it hasn't happened yet. Hat gets itchy after a while, but what hat doesn't? This thing became my go-to winter hat the day it arrived in the mail. Too bad I never get to wear it because my friends always take it from me when it gets cold. Lesson learned: buy two. W220E PURPLE Buffalo Plaid Checker Pilot Trapper Hat with Soft Faux Fur for Womens and Mens one size fits up to a large head
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Oh you were my fuzzy angel, my head garb. My head and your warmth were never very far apart and wherever I went you would follow. For all the warmth you gave me - I gave you more. Our love was a gift from the Shipping Gods, your divine figure always perched upon my head, always there protecting me from the cold. You became part of me, oh not even a shower could separate us, for you always remained strong on my large head. You were more than a hat.... you were a towel to wipe the sweat from my face while I axed down the trees in the Canadian forest...
I find my waking thoughts of you and only your purple glow....
It was a hot day... in the state of Texas...in July, while i was carrying a large blue oxen on my shoulders and wooing women with a tickle of my beard... When a falcon stole you away from me and left my head cold.... and naked.
I searched for purpose in my new life without a companion, without my protector. The nights were cold without the tickle of your fuz on my slightly odd shaped ears.
I knew you could never be replaced.
So a red one would be nice.
This hat is a very nice hat. It is extreamly warm and I bought it for the blizzerd that was coming. It cept me SO warm. This fur also looks like rabbit fur, so its extreamly realistic yet is fake.I have had it for a month now and the quaity of this is very good. One minor thing and the only thing, is that the butten that holds the ear flap up fell off. After one time of just seeing if there was an opening or not through the ear hole, the butten fell of. The string was very thin and that was the problem.(there is not an opening for the ears, witch is good so air can't get through) That was very minor because it got fixed a day later when I took it to the cleaners and got it swed up for a few bucks. No biggie. One last thing is the price. It is very good. I went to dicks Sporting Goods and they had a hat for sale that was not even half as good this one and was was $30.00 dollars! I always love when I buy stuff $25.00 or over on Amazon because you get free shiping. Also the shiping was very quick and arrived here one day ahead of when they emailed me saying what day it would come! This would make a great gift as I got it for Valentines day. So you should get this Faux fur hat because if I like, you will to!
PS: I got the color blue cause I love it and it is really sharp! - Hats - Warm - Fur Hat - 7headz'

As a Harry Potter fan, I'm so happy with this movie adaptation. It's very true to the book (which is fabulous in my opinion, I don't know why some people complained about that), although there are some slight differences. The movie makers have done a wonderful job bringing Rowling's world on screen. The visual effects, especially Fluffy, ghosts, chess pieces, Quidditch game were done exceptionally well. The second disc is all extras. I guess it was designed for Harry Potter fans and people who enjoyed the movie very much because it was assumed that you've watched the movie beforehand. The deleted scenes were a little hard to find since several steps have to be taken. First I had to go to get the key and take money from the Gringotts bank in Diagon Alley. Then purchase wand from Olivander's. Then return to the school and attend classes. Go to potions class and answer three questions. The questions were a little bit of a hassle for me. Answer for the 1st question: Aphrodel and the tube next to it (forgot name); 2nd question: wolfsbane and monkhood; 3rd question: snake fangs and porcupine quills. After the questions, select winged key by trying out a few. Then select the orange colored potion and you will see the mirror of erised. There are a total of 7 deleted scenes. Although some will say they are not worth the hassle, but I liked them. My other favorite extra is the interview. It was good to learn about the behind the scenes interaction of the director/producer/actors etc and production of the movie in general. They also mentioned something about the second movie. Overall good buy. Worth every cent. Will rewatch it on DVD many times. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Like the director, Chris Columbus, I believe that since the book was so well done, the movie shouldn't change anything significant. I needn't go on about the actors, scenery, music, etc. It's all very well done and extremely entertaining. The movie itself gets 5 stars from me.My review subtracts a star for the second disk which I found extremely frustrating. There is some very nice material included but it's so difficult to find while wading through the inconsequential filler material that it almost isn't worth it.BTW - if you have a search function on your DVD player (on my remote, it is accessed through the 'Display' button) the deleted scene access screen is #77
These box sets are extremely nice; at almost 7-3/4 inches (194mm) tall, 5-3/4 inches (145mm) deep and just over 2 inches (52mm) wide, make sure you have enough room on your shelf to display these (remember, there's going to be eight of these sets). The box itself has to be the best design of a blu-ray package I have seen yet, it is constructed of very heavy laminated cardstock with a magnetic catch to hold it shut and has a thin cardstock sleeve to protect it. The two blu-rays and one dvd are stored in a folding plastic and cardstock case that is kept inside the box.
The film itself is beautifully remastered so the stunning scenery and somewhat impressive special effects truly come to life. If you are a true Harry Potter fan, then this Ultimate Edition is a must own especially on blu-ray.
The contents include:
A blu-ray disc with the theatrical version and the extended version with 7 deleted scenes of over 6 and a half minutes worth of film and the "In-movie experience" (picture in picture commentary with behind the scenes footage for the theatrical version only).
Languages: Spoken - English and Spanish; Subtitled - English (for the hearing impaired) and Spanish.
A second blu-ray disc with special features such as:
Behind the Story -
-Introduction with Daniel Radcliffe (2 minutes)
-Creating the World of Harry Potter, Part 1: The Magic Begins - a behind the scenes documentary about the endeavor of casting and creating the world for filming. (1 hour, 2 minutes)
-A Glimpse into the World of Harry potter - an international TV Special from 2001
Additional Footage -
-Deleted scenes that are included in the extended version: Dudley's new School Uniform, Petunia Cracks Eggs with Letters Inside, Tube Ride, Kids Leave Girls Bathroom, Harry sits by Fire in Great Hall, Harry Finds Nicolas Flamel Card, Snape Classroom (extended)
Trailers and TV Spots -
-3 Theatrical Trailers
-15 TV Spots
A dvd disc of various special features from the first special edition release on dvd (I think, since I never owned this dvd):
-A guided tour of Hogwarts in 3D (like internet home tours with narration)
-An interactive scavenger like setup for exploring the world of Harry Potter
-Interviews with the Producers, Director, Screenwriter, Production Designer about cast, scenery, screenplay and special effects of the first film. (16 minutes)
-Dvd-rom features, packed full of cool stuff
An envelope with two collectible cards of a series (Harry Potter, Minerva McGonagall)
A disc for the digital copy
And a photo book of stills and concept art from the entire storyline focusing on locations and sets.
My then 4 & 5 yr old girls and I stumbled upon this on TV one day - and watched intently to the end! It captivated all of us!
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) learns that he is the son of 2 wizards and has powers of his own. Harry sets off for Hogwart's, a school where young witches and wizards learn witchcraft and wizardry. There he meets and befriends Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine (Emma Watson). The three of them are great together! We watch their adventures as the 3 of them learn different spells and how to use their wands and broomsticks. Some of the rest of the cast; Alan Rickman as Snape, the Potions Master, the late Richard Harris as Dumbledoor, the Dean of the school, Maggie Smith as Macgonagall, and Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid, the friendly, giant like, lover of strange animals who also befriends the kids.
Harry learns how his parents died and then faces the very evil Valdemort, who tried to kill Harry when he was a baby, leaving a scar on his forehead. Harry and his friends keep the Sorcerer's Stone safe from evil and the ride along the way is brilliantly done with special effects! There is one VERY real game of chess played - magnificently orchestrated and will keep you on the edge of your seat!
I don't want to give it all away! This is an excellent movie for kids and adults alike! I recommend it fully!

Nutrition For Kids - child health, healthy eating
For months I'd been trying to educate my 8-year old daughter about the foods she eats and to explain why some foods are healthier than others. She was more annoyed by my restrictions than interested in my rationale. I decided to go online to search for a book that might make the subject more fun and relevent. After an exhaustive search for something age-appropriate, I came upon this book and bought it.
Well, she absolutely loves it. The layout and progression of the content is perfect for her age group and the colors and graphics hold her interest. She told me she "loves" the book and is eager to read more of it each night. And she's retaining the information. I found her reading the nutrition label of a cereal box this morning and tonight, without a word from me, she decided to have only one cookie instead of two.
I recommend this book for all parents who are hoping to communicate the value of good eating to their children. Although the reading level is listed as age 4-8, I think this book is most appropriate for 2nd through 5th graders. The Monster Health Book: A Guide to Eating Healthy, Being Active & Feeling Great for Monsters & Kids!
We have been talking a lot lately with my 7 year old daughter about eating healthy. She is a book worm and loves to read, so I wanted a book on this topic for her. I found this one and based on the 2 other reviews figured I'd give it a try.
The book is large (maybe 8-9" square) paperback picture book style with lots of color and illustrations. It packs a lot of information in on a wide variety of topics, from the food groups, to exercise, nutritional labels, even drugs and smoking. It contains a lot of fun facts my daughter has really enjoyed 'Mom, is a watermelon REALLY a berry!?'. This book would be suitable for reading to a Kindergartener, as well as older kids up to age 8 or 9, who can read it on their own.
My daughter has just devoured this book - I've found her reading it for hours over the past few days since we received it. A big hit, I'm so glad I got it! Now instead of my feeling like I'm lecturing them on health, she loves to tell us things!
Highly Recommended!
I got this book to make my step-kids conscious of the foods that they eat and how the body works. It gives very basic but helpful information in a fun format that is easy for them to understand. The kids seem to have taken it to heart! Knowing the facts behind food helps them understand why they can't have junk food or fatty foods all the time. Education starts early to prevent obese children and this book helps make them aware! I love it! - Kids Health - Child Health - Nutrition For Kids - Healthy Eating'

Jersey Shorts
These are actually three different shorts, not the same product in different colors:
- The navy and black are 100% cotton with a thick, soft weave. Five stars on these, really comfortable.
- The green and blue are 100 % cotton with a more lightweight, coarse weave. Green color is OK, blue is kind of bright. Four stars, not quite as comfortable as the navy and black.
- The gray is a 90/10 cotton/poly blend. Has a bit of poly slickness in the fiber, but not bad. Three stars.
If you don't need color variety, stick to the black and navy. Soffe Men's Classic 100% Cotton Pocket Short, Oxford, Large
Well made, very comfortable "lounge around the house" shorts with essential pockets. I bought a pair (different brand) several years ago in a store and eventually wore them out. Couldn't find them in stores anymore (everything is synthetic fiber). Found these via amazon and absolutely love them.
I've purchased quite a few pairs of different shorts and I like these the best. They're well made, sized properly, high quality and look nice. I really like the pockets. I will seek these out when I buy more the next time.
My daughter gave me a pair of these for Christmas three years ago, and I have run in them at least once a week since then. I came here because I wanted to find out where to order more. I've got several pairs of shorts that I run in, and these are my favorite because: they are 100% cotton, they have pockets, and I like the fit. Some say to order a size larger because they shrink slightly. They do, but I like the amount mine shrank because they are more like running shorts and less like basketball shorts, which are a pain to run in because of the ridiculous length. So I have the size I normally wear, and even with shrinkage, they are fine. If you buy them for looks like you would a normal pair of shorts to knock around in, you might want to order larger than your typical size. But if, like me, you're buying them to run in, I would say get your usual size.'

Photography - lens cap strap, lens accessory
I ordered a pair of 52mm caps mostly for the Cap Keeper feature, as I'm always losing my lens cap when I go hiking, which is frequent.
The cap looks good and fits very well and snug, though the appearance is slightly different than what is shown in the pictures.
First of all, the center piece is now more of a horizontal bar similar to the Nikon OEM caps instead of the circle shown in the picture. I actually prefer the updated look to what is shown in the pictures here.
The second difference is more important, and that has to do with how the cap keeper attaches. Instead of there being protruding tab as shown in the pictures, the cord is now threaded through an inset in the side of the cap itself. This would, it seems, make it less susceptible to breaking off (I have no idea if this was an issue before). On the down-side, since the cord does not come pre-attached, it's a little tricky to thread the first time. The opening is very small and I had to use a small paperclip to grab the cord as I threaded it through. That's a one-time thing though, and you'll never have to repeat it, and it wasn't really that hard, I just thought I'd note it.
Overall though, the price is right, and it works just as you'd hope and expect. Fotodiox Inner pinch Lens Cap, Lens Cover with Cap Keeper, 52mm
This lens cap is better quality than the original Canon that came with our SX20IS. It fits snug, solid construction, and the pinch grip is easier to use. It comes with a lens cap strap, so no more lost lens caps! (hopefully)
Beware if you are shopping for a lens cap for the Canon SX20IS. I noticed that some are advertised as fitting this model camera, but actually only fit it if you have a UV lens or converter which makes it wider (58MM) - the Canon lens without any additional filters is 52 mm.
This lense cap will fit any 52mm lens, any model.
Highly recommend it.
These inner pinch lens caps are fabulous! If you shoot using lens hoods, filters or other ancillary tools these will come in extremely handy. They are secure, well made and very easy on the fingers. Being one who has arthritis in my hands, they have certainly made life easier for me.
My first purchase from fotodiox, and I'm very pleased. Cap fits snuggly on lens. I'd seen some reviews that complained about the cap keeper being difficult to install or that they had to thread it themselves, but was pleased when I saw that the cap keeper came already assembled. To tighten the loop, I had to pull on just one of the strings rather than both. Great quality at such a better price than what the others charge. Will use again.
Can't beat the price on this. Especially when you comapre it to the $24 Canon wants to replace a lens cap. Plus this is now attached so I won't lose it again. 4 stars because it's a challenge to get the lanyard threaded through the tiny hole. - Lens Cap - Lens Cap Strap - Lens Accessory - Canon Lens'

Comic Book Movie - comics
Let me start by saying this review has nothing to do with the movie itself. For better or for worse, this movie is what it is...and if you don't know what that is, you probably shouldn't make this a "blind-buy". I grew up with it, so I happen to like it...but I do not like this DVD.
Immediately, it starts out with a warning, claiming something along the lines of "This is the best source we could find." TRANSLATION: "We couldn't be bothered to make a new transfer, so enjoy this old one. And, thanks for the cash."
As far as I can tell, MGM's MOD edition recycles the one made for the 1992 VHS and LaserDisc versions. Video is a cropped 4x3 full screen presentation. I had hoped it was open-matte, but after comparing it to a UK edition, I am certain it has been cropped.
And, like the '92 VHS and LD releases, quality is quite poor. Colors are washed-out, the picture is soft, there is heavy grain, and loads of rainbow-artifacts grace the image.
Oh, I forgot to mention the compression problems. Yep, this baby has some pretty big areas of block noise during some of the fast moving action scenes (like the machine gun fire at night during the early portions of the film).
Audio is Dolby stereo and sounds adequate, but has some occasional pops. And, I also think I heard some mild "hiss" at times. However, given that I am sending this back to Amazon in a hurry, I don't have time to check it more thoroughly.
As for extras, a theatrical trailer is included. I would say "hooray", but the quality of the movie itself has left me quite apathetic.
In closing, MGM has delivered the legal equivalent to all the "bootlegs" floating around the "grey market"...complete with being on a DVD-R disc. If you're desperate to own the '92 "Captain America" on DVD, be my guest...but prepare to be underwhelmed.
Thanks, MGM :( Captain America
Sure one has to admit that this film isn't up to par w/ the current trend & cash tidal wave that "superhero" films have been enjoying as of late but it's quite the nostalgic road down memory lane. This is also hard evidence of what's came before all the wild & rich CGI & f/x that have progressed & popularized throughout the Hollywood film circuit. Complete w/ rubber ears & a much more definitive costume than the latest popcorn blockbuster, this third stab at a film adaptation of the Captain America mythology was a real treat for fans despite it getting shelved from mainstream cinema since it's 1990 release. Now at long last this obscure & obscene celluloid gem can join the likes of Dolph Lundgren's Punisher, Philip DeGuere's Dr. Strange, & Hasselhoff's Nick Fury. Perhaps it's very laughable & maybe even embarrassing at times but this was way before Hollywood saw any real interest in cinematic superhero stories that's now become such a catch 22. The transfer is thankfully good too. Heck, even Scott Paulin's Red Skull ain't decently half bad for it's time.
This movie is very entertaining despite it's bad reputation. It is well acted and much better than other super hero movies that have gone to the theaters. If they would have had a better budget for the costume and special effects it could have been a great movie. Fun stuff for a Captain America fan.
I love Marvel movies and I will say that Marvel's first big ive action movie hit was Blade in 1998 Less than 6 years after they squatted out this turd. If it was low budget I could understand but this wanna be "B" movie of Captain america pails in comparison to the 2011 version. If you really must own this it comes out on 09/13/2011 Be advised it is campy though not as indigestible as the 1960's Cap movies. Watch either the 60's versions or this and you will cheer when they kill off Captain America in the Civil War story lines. Again buy at your own risk as this turd exists only for true collectors or people who want to toture visitors.
This is more of a question than a review. I have been waiting for years for this to come to dvd. Its a cult classic in the marvel universe along with the Fantastic Four that never got released and the Dr. Strange movie that was actually a tv pilot. I have been looking forward ever since i saw the posting here on amazon. So the release date comes, and no picture and its all sold out. I check other websites. fye and bestbuy dont even have it listed. Walmart has it for preorder still. So does this thing exist or not. I mean they have numerous reviews online. But does this even really exist or not? - Comics'

Liquid Ink Highlighters - liquid ink highlighters
The first time I bought liquid highlighters I was in college and was afraid to spend my money on them, but took a chance. I LOVED them! They were uni-Blazers by EF and, unfortunately, they aren't made any more (not that I can find anyway). I bought them in 1994 and still use them now in 2010! The ink never dried out. Admittedly, I didn't use them consistently all those years, but I did use them quite a bit when I did. The point is--just because it's a liquid highlighter doesn't mean it has to dry out or run out quickly! ... unlike these Sharpie Accents. I bought this pack because I really liked the other liquid ones and thought these looked nice. Unfortunately, I've been using the yellow one for only two weeks and the ink is half gone!! I thought perhaps the other reviewers were leaving the caps off while they read, but no, I faithfully put the cap back on immediately each time.
The other thing I really, really dislike about these is that when I use an index card to keep my underlining straight and then move the index card down a line it smears the ink! No other highlighters I've ever used have done this. This doesn't dry as fast as others do. It seems these put too much ink on the page, even thought they don't bleed through much--they do a little. I tried the other colors and they all behaved the same way.
Also, the cap is really hard to get on and off. There is a little plastic area in the cap that uses a spring to create a seal on the top of the marker. I'm guessing it's to keep it from drying out. But it makes it hard to get on and off, which makes it quite annoying to put the cap back on every time you use it.
These highlighters are very bright. You probably won't overlook a highlighted portion of text on a page. Sometimes, I feel it is too bright, but that's just a personal preference. If you like a very bright marker and don't mind it running out really quickly, these might be ok for you. They do look nice and don't feel too bad in the hand--I'm pretty picky that way.
So, I'm going to try another brand and give these to my daughter to play with till they finish running out. Sharpie Accent Liquid Pen-Style Highlighters, 5 Colored Highlighters(24575PP)
I love these! I don't know if they last longer or shorter than regular highlighters and don't care. I'm just happy they don't bleed through to the other side of the page. Very bright and easy to control how much space you want the highlighter to cover.
If you are paying sticker for these, they are an expensive set of highlighters. That said, they're also some of the best highlighters you can buy.
The amount of fluid in the pen is substantially less than it could potentially hold. I'd imagine ink is cheap, so the only reason for this is to reduce the lifespan of the product forcing you to buy more.
On the plus side, the pen highlights well, and consistently. The visible fluid reservoir allows you to see how much (or little) life the pen has left.
I'd purchase again, especially if on sale.
There's not too much else to say. I bought these on sale, and probably wouldn't pay full price for them. In my opinion, they were okay for less than a buck but I'd stick with non-liquid ones if I were repurchasing. These ones can definitely bleed a bit, and I felt that the blue was really too dark to even highlight things with.
These are the ONLY highlighters that I use. Sharpie has always been a quality brand and these highlighters are just a testimony of that. Each of the colors work well for me without being TOO bright or too heavy. I especially enjoy the clear tube because you can watch the ink level and it is easy to see which color you need. However, I do wish that the liquid ink was a bit more controlled and consistent. At times, even at the same level of pressure, the ink will flow a bit heavy. This does not happen often, in fact, it is pretty rare but, it still happens. With that being said, these highlighters, as usual, are a great buy.
These highlighters are on the more high end side I guess. I'd prefer to use the normal sharpie highlighters (I've always used those) but I saw these on sale for 75 cents and thought, "Why not?" My only issues with is that there's too much ink used sometimes - they take longer to dry than normal highlighters and some colors are too dark to use (like the blue).
I use a lot of highlighters, I even have different uses for different colors and shades. About 3 years ago I came across these highlighters in a retail store and didn't purchase them as they were more then I typically pay for highlighters and my normal highlighters worked fine. One week I decided to "splurge" and spend the extra 60 cents (or however much it was). I have found these to be far better then any other type of highlighter that I have tried. These work much better in every way. The lids do fit on tight, but A) I like that of any pen/marker and B) if they didn't and the cap came off in your pocket, you would probably need to replace that piece of clothing.
For the price I spent on the highlighter, I don't feel too horrible about purchasing. But it would definitely not be worth retail price.
Pros:
- Depending on what you prefer, might consider this a con. The cap capped on very tightly. Need to use a bit of strength to open and close the cap. I liked this because it prevents leakage. And you know for sure that you capped your highlighter.
- Didn't smudge.
- The chisel tip wasn't too large that it covered two lines of text when I only needed to highlight one line.
Cons:
- Runs out very quickly. I used one highlighter pen for two weeks of light-moderate highlighting, and it's gone already.
- The color that you see in the photograph of the highlighting liquid is all you get. The previous poster was accurate in the description. You literally get only an inch of highlighting liquid. The ink does not extend into the black label. (Reason for the highlighter running out so quickly) - Liquid Ink Highlighters'
