Bandsaw - powertec, hitachi
The powertec bandsaw was well packed and arrived in perfect condition.
The instructions were easy to read, and after initial setup, worked extremely well
for a band saw of its size.It has all the features of larger more expensive saws,
at a reasonable price.Cuts 1" oak and hickory with ease.
I used mine to make all of the body wood in my 1930 Ford coupe.
I have done woodworking for 30+ years and would recommend the powertec BS900
to any home hobbyist. POWERTEC BS900 Band Saw, 9-Inch
I was really surprised about this bandsaw. For a unit so low-priced, it has lasted a whole lot longer than any of the other cheapie bandsaws. I have been cutting up to 1-1/2" thick hard woods like walnut and cherry but unlike the other 9' saws I bought from Amazon, this one is still working, still going strong, after over two months of hard work. This bandsaw is just amazing!
I have to say that I have kept with the blade that came with the bandsaw and not tried putting a blade on it with finer teeth for cutting sharper curves; that's where so many other bandsaws go bad-- after the blade has been changed, so I can't say that this bandsaw is perfect in every way. But even just using the original blade shows that this is a very good, a very sturdy bandsaw that is a great buy for the price.
First, this saw uses 62 1/4" blades and not the 59 1/4" ones Amazon offers as a package. The latter doesn't fit, period. The unit arrived in a box that spelled re-package, but inside all was fine. Set-up was straight forward and the saw was running in no time at all. Upon checking why it vibrated so much, I discovered that the upper aluminum wheel was out of run, which made the blade wiggle sideways and the tension adjustment go up and down; forget about tight specs, this is a cheap tool and we pay for what we get! Now, if you've done your research, you'll have realized by now that other retail outfits sell an identical tool under their names, and you couldn't have missed the horrid customer reviews addressing a particular plastic pulley that goes bad within minutes. Rest assured, this Powertec version has a metal pulley securely fastened to the motor shaft! Now, the blade guides are another cheap affair, consisting of adjustable solid pins mounted on a plastic frame that sandwich the blade. Because the wheel is out of true on this unit, the blade touches these pins when it does its left/right flutter, and I wonder how long before I have to replace them and how much this will reduce the life of the blades... The upper guide bearing behind the blade is positioned out of alignment and the blade easily shifts off to the left, missing the bearing altogether! Now, that's starting to look like a major problem, as there is no means to remedy the issue. Remember what you pay for. The tracking adjustment works fine, and even though the blade tension adjustment takes time to get used to, it all works like it should; again, do not expect precision out of this tool. Does the saw actually work? Well, for a first course I fed 7/8" cocobolo to it and it ate it without complaining, the whole 80 inches of it! I scrolled through it without any loss of power and the cuts were clean and smooth. After one hour of torture test, the saw came clean, and I even forgot about the out of run wheel. Needless to say, the motor felt rather hot after that, and time will only tell how fast it will burn out... Now, it I had paid more for the saw, I would have returned it and given it one star, but because of its price and the fact it cut very hard wood without nary a complaint, I give it a 4! - Hitachi - Powertec'

Closet Organization - huggable hangers, closet storage
I became hooked on these hangers after purchasing a box of 50 of the regular ultra-thin no slip hangers. These type of velvet hangers are just fantastic. The clothing stays put, exactly how it is placed on the hanger. No more sliding off or bumpy shoulders. They are not much thicker than a wire hanger so they do take up less space. The top hook is strong metal and swivels (a great feature for me, as I like to hang garments in front of an open window to air out). The only downside to any velvet-covered hanger is that they cannot get wet, but I don't have an issue with this.
There is an added benefit to these particular hangers vs. the regular velvet hangers for me. As a petite woman who wears fitted tops and dresses, I would sometimes have difficulty getting the regular sized hangers through the neck-hole without having to pull and stretch on the fabric. Without the bottom bar, these hangers easily slip into a very small opening, without having to manipulate the fabric or put the hanger through the bottom - A nice bonus I hadn't even considered. Try these and you too will be hooked. They are simply the best hanger you can buy! Closet Complete Ultra Thin No Slip Velvet Hangers for Shirts and Dresses, Black, Set of 50
3 of the hangers split in the middle at the metal hanger without even putting a shirt on them. They just fell apart where the metal hook was molded into the plastic. Requested a replacement and am going to swap out the three broken ones. Make sure you stress test ALL of your hangers before using them. The three that broke was wit less pressure than a shirt would create on it. Otherwise they seem alright. I bought another set right before that had a combination of the closed and open bottom with a lip hook under the metal one for staggering hangers which seem to be of much better quality.
I used to see these hangers on infomercials and I'd think, "wow, what could be so darned great about hangers?" okay, these are fabulous hangers! They're thin, so you can fit more in your closet. Their shape prevents the shoulder humps that women sometimes find in blouses and sweaters that have been hanging in their closets, and the flocking on the hangers keeps almost everything from falling off! I just bought my second set because i just can't stop replacing my old hangers now!
These were a purchase to make my closet work better now that I have installed a closet system. I do like that they all hand at the same height and width. They are a bit thin, so some heavier blouses don't sit that well at the collar. However, for the price, I am happy enough.
I LOVE these hangers. With the FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING, this is a great deal. My closet is so beautiful and organized now and no more sweater nipples or clothes sliding off. I just purchased more to redo my husband's closet.
These didn't work nearly as well for me as Closet Complete Ultra Thin No Slip Velvet Suit Hangers, Black, Set of 25. I am using these because when I got them I needed the new hangers right away. These are bigger than the crappy hangers one tends to find in the stores, but not as big are the aforementioned hangers. If you are a big girl like me, get the ones with the bar, they are wider and stronger, and they do a better job of preventing the dreaded shoulder-nipples.
After I bought my first box of these hangers, I purchased two more boxes immediately. The look of these hangers transformed my closet and saved me a lot of space. I absolutely love the non-slip quality to these hangers. These hangers do not withstand a lot of weight so if you want to use them with heavier jackets, you may want to consider doubling or tripling up the hangers to give it more support, which is what I did. These hangers are perfect for a girl's closet! The little indentations on the sides are perfect for hanging camis, tank tops and etc. Will definitely re-purchase once I run out!
Also, before I bought these hangers on Amazon.com, I checked around for prices. Amazon definitely offers the best prices!
I watched these hangers online for months, but was reluctant to order them. Actually, I could kick myself for waiting this long to place my order. Indeed, they are the perfect invention and only take up one-fourth the space in your as opposed to plastic hangers. I would advise anyone to order them. Try the first fifty and I promise you will be amazed at the spaciousness of your closet. I've ordered an additional one-hundred and fifty velvet hangers simply because I refuse to utilize thick plastic hangers ever again. - Hangers Velvet - Huggable Hangers - Closet Storage - Hangers'

Sink Faucet
Works wonderfully. Especially enjoying range of movement of the nozzle head. You can spray around the whole sink without even pulling the spray hose out. Also the two spray setting are convenient for washing or rinsing food or the dishes. Found this product at a popular store for $230. before additional 8.25% sales tax so I got a great deal through Amazon. The faucet also arrived very quickly. Am very happy with my purchase. Pfister F5314PAS Petaluma Double Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel
Nice kitchen faucet set. Requires four holes in front of the sink. Connectors which snap in rather than screw. It is important that the hot and cold faucet holes are a particular distance apart or you end up having to improvise like I did to extend the small hose which reaches between the hot and cold valves. Two trips to Ace Hardware allowed me to improvise and extend the length of the hose so that it would work. (extra cost for hardware was appr. $8.00) If it's a new installation you can measure the length of that hose and drill holes into sink area as needed. If you are replacing an earlier 4 hole faucet, you are at the mercy of the existing holes. The spray hose tends to not snap real snugly into the arched faucet neck and you have to continually push the sprayer back up firmly. Not a real big deal. We now have no leaks and are happy with this faucet set from Price Pfister.
I was worried when I bought this faucet since pull down sprayers already seemed to have a "cheap" reputation. The key is not to forget to install the weight on the faucet line to ensure the sprayer retracts with some force. The faucet looks and works great. Exceeded my expectations!
I bought this faucet for 47.00 on clearance havenot in stalled it yet & plactic clip ring is coming out of end of spout already(brand new )never used (very very cheap & poor design) i've installed these new fangeled (eu styled )faucets for people most are poor quality i'm afraid this one is to. i'll use it because i have a back up faucet but i would not recomend this faucet.'

Replacement Battery - battery pack, cordless drill
Note: I've only had to purchase one of these recently because my wife "cleaned up" around the house, and the charger and my spare battery both disappeared, maybe thrown away, maybe put in a secure location for storage, never to be seen again, or maybe "rediscovered" in another eight or ten years . . .
Four things I like about this product:
1. Power delivery. My experience with this battery has been a steady flow of power in all weather and temperature conditions, for up to five straight hours of pretty steady use. When the battery starts to fade, there is no slow and gentle decrease in power, the battery just gives. I like the fact that you get uninterrupted, max power right up to the point of failure, when it becomes absolutely clear that it's time to recharge.
2. Fit and integration. When you slide this battery into the tool, there is no play, no jiggling, no movement. The battery becomes part of the tool, indeed, the tool was designed from this point of view, specifically in the weighting of the drill. I've never had any problems with the battery sliding in or out, seating itself, or making the right contacts. This is good basic design.
3. Interchangeability. This battery pulls out and drops right into a range of Skil tools, and I like that. What I like best is that after a good three, four years down the road, Skil still hasn't phased this line out, and the tools and batteries all still work together. I don't see the planned obsolescence, the cynical corporate plan for every owner to be forced to upgrade to a new system as a slightly older line matures, and I like it. That's a good way to generate brand loyalty, at least with this consumer.
4. Charging. The battery charges quickly, and holds its charge for a good long time. If it's been stored for a while without use, yes, it needs a shot, but it charges surprisingly quickly.
The one thing I don't think is that great about this product has to do with charging, specifically overcharging. I learned this one the hard way. I had the basic charger, and it worked just fine. At some point I had a battery in the charger for an extended period of time--I just plain forgot--and it went maybe a week or so plugged in. Well, that killed both the battery and the charger, an expensive set to replace. I learned about this only after I went online to find out what had happened. Was that in the owner's manual? Maybe. I can't tell you as I've lost it, so maybe it's my own fault. But buyer/user beware: charge your battery and then unplug both the charger from the wall and the battery from the charger right away, or you'll be buying yourself a new set of both.
And make sure you dispose of this battery properly when it reaches the end of its life. Radio Shack will take them off your hands for free. Skil 144BAT 14-2/5-Volt 1-1/5-Amp Hour NiCad Pod Style Battery
I was skeptical about whether I should buy a new drill or just get a new battery for the one I had, because I heard opinions for both options. I opted to get a new battery and my drill is back to its normal self - full of power! The only reason I didn't give the rating 5 stars is because I don't know the longevity of this battery. So far I am fully satisfied and saved some money reusing my old drill.
This was bought as a replacement battery for a Skil drill. The first battery didn't last long because I used the drill only occasionally and didn't keep the battery at full charge. Nicad batteries are notorious for this problem, and my recent drill purchases have been the newer drills--with lithium batteries.
I'm very pleased with both the price and availability of this 14.4 battery pack to replace one that had lost its charge and would not recharge. I received this in a timely manner and am pleased with the ease in which I was able to order this. Thank you so much.
Amazon was a good source to get this battery pack. The price was right in line with other sources and the shipping was free. The item was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. My variable speed drill has received a new life! - Replacement Battery - Skil - Cordless Drill - Battery Pack'

Heart Rate Monitor
I felt compelled to write a review, because I am disturbed with what some other reviewers are publishing. This is the best watch of it's kind I have owned, and as long as a purchaser understands what it does, and it's limitations, I think they will be more than satisfied. It may be that this watch will not meet their needs, but it should not be a cause to deliver a poor rating.
I have owned the Forerunner 305, the 201, the Timex GPS and a Polar, so I have years of experience. Since I do triathlons, I was most looking forward to the waterproof controls, and 20 hour battery. The charger is a bit funky design, but for me it seems to work just fine. My battery has been lasting at least 16 hours--I haven't tested it further before recharging. One issue that I had with the 305 also, though: the watch should be TURNED OFF while you are charging. If not, as soon as you disconnect the charger, since the watch is ON, it will start "discharging" (as it does normally while it is on. I have been caught several times with a depleted battery on my 305 because of this quirk--I think the watches should be programmed to automatically turn themselves off when the charger is connected).
I have used the new watch swimming, biking and running and hiking, and I am pleased with the performance for each sport. One reviewer pointed out that there should be a "swim" mode--I agree, but I think Garmin may have avoided that mode because the GPS does not work well in the water. Several reviewers complained about that, however Garmin does write on their website AND in their manual that the GPS does not work well in the water (I don't know that I would blame that on Garmin--probably the technology is just not there yet--besides, GPS signals do not penetrate water.) In fact, I did NOT get an accurate GPS distance reading for open water swimming, but it did map my COURSE correctly, albeit with a lot of zig-zags (I know I can't swim in a straight line, but I am not THAT bad).
The biking portion works great. The Garmin matches pretty closely with the distance measured on my bike computer (I don't have the Garmin bike sensor--I want that and the quick-release mount for my next birthday). Of course it also tracks speed, altitude, heart rate, etc. (I used the heart monitor strap from my 305).
Running works well also, basically same as biking although I do set up the display screens differently.
Other, useful new features I have noticed:
1. The watch locks onto satellites more quickly than my 305
2. The watch vibrates, although I wonder how this affects battery life. For instance it vibrates every lap (if I set it) so I know I have completed an autolap without having to look at the watch.
3. The software is more refined (lots of small fixes. For instance the settings function lets me know what sport mode I am in--although I think this could still be made easier and less confusing. And the time zone can be put on automatic--I always wondered why they couldn't do this before--the watch knows where it is for gosh sakes. And there are extra custom screens if you want them--statistic hounds take note.)
4. Wireless data upload. Very nice! Their new "Garmin Connect" site is also pretty useful, and the data can be uploaded directly to the Internet.
5. The 310XT is not much smaller or lighter than the 305 (according to the specs), but it FEELS MUCH smaller and lighter.
6. There is a progress bar for the battery charging. I would like to be able to see how much time is LEFT in my battery--I wish Garmin would add this.
In summary, I think this is far and away the best GPS watch Garmin has made, and is especially appropriate for triathletes (despite the swimming issue). You DO need to become accustomed to using the watch. Although I do not think it is hard to use, you SHOULD read the manual. At least you do not have to keep RE-reading the manual like I do for some other gadgets. I do think this watch is way overpriced, but I am a gadget freak, and I'm sure the price will come down over time, like it did for the 305 (which is a great deal, now, btw, if you don't need a 20 hour battery-life and a waterproof stopwatch :) Garmin Forerunner 310XT Waterproof Running GPS With USB ANT Stick
This device has been represented as a triathlete's watch and the first swim proof GPS watch. If you watch the video from Garmin or see any of the advertisements, Garmin leads you to believe that this watch will collect reliable data for all 3 multisport events. It is reasonable for someone to assume this watch can be worn in a race and collect GPS data in the water, since, of course, SWIMMING is the first event in a triathlon.
If you are considering buying this watch realize the following:
-This device does not collect usable data in the water, period (other than time, which any $20 waterproof watch can collect in a much smaller form factor). No heart rate data and totally unusable and inaccurate GPS data while in the water.
-There are preset modes for run, bike, and "other", in which "other" shows a person on skis (explain that one?). They intentionally omit a category for swimming, despite advertising that this watch is for triathletes (see the photo I added under product photos).
-You will need to purchase a separate quick release kit if you want to use this watch on a bike. It does not get accurate data on a bike if you are wearing in on your wrist. It auto pauses, then unpauses for most of the time I am riding if I wear it on my wrist -- even if I have it set to only auto pause when completely stopped. The quick release kit IS NOT the more common one for the 205 and 305 Garmin 010-10889-00 Forerunner 305/205 Quick Release Kit, so do not buy that one. They have made a new one for this watch and most places do not have it in stock yet. As of the date I am writing this review, it is not yet available on Amazon.com. Go to Garmin's website and look under the accessories tab for this watch. You will see a different model number. I have confirmed this with customer service. The part number for the proper quick release kit is: 010-11215-00. Google it.
-If you want foot cadence or the ability to track distance indoors and assume you get it for spending $400 on this device, think again. You will have to buy a separate foot pod which costs $80-100, depending on where you buy it (earlier Garmin Forerunner watch kits included foot pods). Garmin Foot Pod SDM4 (ANT+)
-The watch is large and sits high on top of the wrist (they packed 20 hours of batter life into this watch), so to wear it under your wetsuit will let water in the wetsuit, or you will have to wear it on top of (or crammed in front of) the wetsuit, which will not allow you to remove your wetsuit without first removing the watch (thus adding time to your transition and sort of negating that whole "triathlete" angle). You can see a photo of this watch on my wrist under the photos section of the product.
-There is no way to turn off GPS tracking for only one of the 3 events in multisport mode. Therefore you will always either have incorrect GPS data recording for the swimming mode (or, actually "other", since there is no "swim" mode, as previously mentioned). I have called customer support and they confirm this. Their solution was to turn off GPS while I am swimming, then reset and manually start a new timer and mode during transition 1 for my bike event. I'll let you be the judge of how to take that advice.
So, in conclusion, if you want to setup this watch for a bike and run, and want the ability to wear the watch in the water before hand (and no start it unless you want some incorrect distance data included), you will need to buy:
$400 - the Garmin 310XT with HR
$25 - quick release mount kit (for wrist and bike) (no link in Amazon yet)
$80-100 - foot pod (if you want cadence)
Garmin Foot Pod SDM4 (ANT+)
$35-50 - speed/cadence sensor (if you want cadence for the bike)
GARMIN 010-10644-00 Speed/Cadence Sensor
You'll be into it for $575 retail. Garmin, you did us wrong on this one. Some of us are willing to spend this kind of money on a product if it proves to do what it advertises itself to do. We're not asking it to do anything more than perform as advertised. I realize your fine print saves you from lawsuits, but it doesn't gain you repeat customers. It sends them over to Polar.
[EDIT: I have edited the title of this review to what it currently reads from "Misleading: Not a Triathlete's Watch," because it seems that Garmin has somewhat softened their advertising and marketing surrounding this watch. I purchased this watch when it first came out in 2009, and at the time the marketing videos and advertising in triathlon magazines mentioned nothing about the fact that it doesn't track GPS data in the water, and in fact seemed to lead the consumer into believe it does. That advertising has since softened.]'

This is an open-ended, well rounded, creativity program that features three main activities. Design ballgowns with thousands of not millions of possible combinations, visit the worlds of Belle, Jasmine, and Ariel to find extra goodies for creating outfits, or create stories by coloring pictures and adding stickers to them. You can even create a princess that looks like you by importing a picture of your face. All of the activities are fun and the dresses are just beautiful. If you know a young girl or are young at heart, get it. Disney's Princess Magical Dress-Up
This game was a big hit with my eight-year-old niece. It imports all photo file types. She enjoyed making Princess pictures of herself, her little sister, and all of her aunties! The game is definitely fun and really encourages creativity. That said, there were parts I did not like. The software could be more seamless. The import photo section (where girls create their own virtual models) is separate from the other CD activities. This doesn't pose a huge problem, but .... if you want to bring in someone else's photo, you have to exit your current session (and therefore lose the creations you've made in that session). One bonus activity: girls can place their models into different scenes they create in "Star of the Story." They can print the scenes in full color, or just with the black outlines (resembling a coloring book). This could be fun way for my 3-year-old niece to get involved--she can color her own pictures from the "coloring book" designs that her big sister creates.
Even though my computer had MUCH MORE than the minimum requirements to run this program, we never could get it to operate. The product repeatedly locked up right after you selected the body shape. The music still played, and you could select a different body shape, but it would not let you move to the next level.
This version of Fashion Boutique is not as good as the first with Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. While my daughter can play it at age 5, she needs help finding the patterns and the jewels. She is not yet able to play this alone, as she is many other Disney and Barbie games. However, she does like Ariel and Belle, so she does play it, but I spend more time than she does searching for the designs.
I was completely disappointed with this product. I have always been so pleased with Disney products in the past. I couldn't believe that Disney put their name on this. It was very simple in nature, and was far from as interesting as what was stated on the box. My five year old said "Why are the Princess' so ugly?(and she was right). I have just written to Disney, and plan on returning this.
I got the disney's princess fashion boutique and unless they have upgraded substantially, it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY,,,I took the boutique back twice and it never worked correctly. They said I could send it to the company...and they might replace it. ...so as far as I am conserned I will NOT be buying any more disney games for my 2 little girls. Thought you might like to know.
My 6 year old really enjoys playing with this, especially the "Star of the story" section. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. My daughter fell in love with this software immediately. Although she doesn't play with it every day, she certainly plays with it often. She likes it so much that we have bought it as gifts for several friends.
I got this for my preschooler for Christmas and she is loving it! I love the fact that she can design the princess to look like herself or a friend or just about anyone! Designing the dress and jewelry is her favorite part, but she could go all day if I let her! This is definitely a gift that won't lose its appeal soon and also one that will grow with her!!!
I bought this game because I love the Little Mermaid and seeing Ariel on the box made me very happy. Sadly, there is not much Ariel in the game. The most you can do is put your princess model into Ariel scenes. I was hoping to put my model into Ariel's mermaid costume, but sadly, there are not many Ariel costume options (just the wedding dress and a pink one that she wears when she is human). All the costume are the classic 'ballgown' princess style, and most of them are ugly, as a matter of fact. I enjoyed putting my face onto these models, but I was disappointed that there were no costumes I really liked to put myself in. A waste of time; if buying this, like me, because you are a fan of Ariel, don't waste your money. Buy 'Ariel's Story Studio' or 'Little Mermaid 2 Activity Centre' instead. - Disney - Kids - Dress Up - Disney Princess'

Iphone Cable
I agonized over which, if any, of these cables to purchase. There are so many negative reviews and comments on the 6 foot USB iPhone connector cables. But I decided to take a chance and I'm happy to report they all work just fine.
I ordered from the seller Shivser, but when I checked out, the seller name displayed as Tavas. The return address on the box also said Tavas. Because of all the negative product reviews, I wanted to order with a seller whose orders were fulfilled by Amazon.com so if the cables did turn out to be defective, the Amazon.com return policy would apply. I also decided to order four cables, just in case some were defective, I would have a better chance of getting one that works.
All four cables are new, 6 feet long, white (all what I ordered), and they sync AND charge just fine as far as I can tell. I tested all four cables on both an iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.
All four cables were just a little tighter connecting to the iPhone data port than I'm used to, but as far as I'm concerned, that's a positive, not negative. It seems my phone is always falling off my nightstand and getting disconnected. Hopefully with a tighter connection, it will not get unplugged as easily.
It remains to be seen how long it takes to fully charge the phone from a nearly empty battery. Some reviews claim the phone appears to charge, but doesn't really, or charges sloooooowly. We shall see and I'll keep everyone posted.
And finally, I ordered using the Free SuperSaver Shipping and placed my order on Tuesday, March 8 at 10pm. By the next morning, my order had already shipped. The estimated delivery date was March 14-18, which would have been 6-10 calendar days. Much to my surprise, it arrived just 3 days later on March 11th! This has not been my experience with all Free SuperSaver Shipping offers, so I'm very happy to have received the cables so quickly. 6 Foot Long USB Data Sync Cable For iPod, iPhone 2G 3G 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 2nd 3rd 4th Generation iPod Nano 4th 5th 6th Gen All iPhone, iPod Models Compatible (White Color)
This cable arrived on my doorsteps faster than I promised, and I was excited. When I opened it, it was as long as promised, and looked to be exactly what I needed. I plugged in my ipod, and everything seemed fine. A few hours later, I noticed it was not charging. I unpluged it, and was still at half battery. It look a lot of wiggling for the cable to charge my ipod again. I tried a buddys iphone, with the same problem. Now, after about 2 days of ownership, no amount of wiggling seems to make it work.
I purchased this longer cable so I could talk on iPhone while keeping it charging but the cable doesn't work. I plug it in and I receive NO response from my iPhone. I tested cable with 2 other iPhones as well and it doesn't work! I tried AC adapter and 3 different PCs (USB ports). The cable is physically undamaged yet doesn't work.
I ordered this six-foot USB cable to use with my iPhone and iPad. The first picture on the amazon product page for this cable has what looks like a generic connector that you plug into the iPhone/iPad. That's the type of connector that looks bigger (fatter?) than the slimmer connector that you see on the current real Apple cables. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cable that I actually received had the connector that was just like the ones you see on the more current real Apple cables. See the picture that I posted at the top of this product's amazon page for the cable that I received.
I bought this cable from amazon marketplace seller 'The OEM Shop' for under three dollars with free S&H. I received the cable very quickly in five days. I do NOT work for 'The OEM Shop' or for Amazon, but I mention the name of the seller because very few people seem to mention the name of the amazon marketplace seller who they bought a product from in their reviews. These cables are "generic" and it is often difficult to tell which seller sold the product that the buyer is either complaining about or praising in a product review. Also, a lot of buyers don't seem to realize that they can select a particular seller and not just take whoever is the seller who may be appearing as the "default" seller on an amazon product page. I don't know what determines who is the "default" seller, but I'm guessing that Amazon comes first if Amazon has the product in their warehouse(s), but if not, then maybe the other sellers are possibly rotated as the "default" seller on the page, and so on and so forth. Anyways, I think it is worth mentioning who is the particular amazon marketplace seller is in a review - especially if the product is generic like this cable and if there are a lot of sellers who are selling the product via the one single amazon product page.
Anyways, the cable that I bought is indeed a nice long six-foot cable. It looks like the real thing. And it was new. I was able to charge my iPhone and iPad by using this cable when connected to a charger plugged into the wall. And I was able to sync my iPhone and iPad with iTunes on my macbook. The cable was also able to charge my iPhone via the USB on my macbook. For my iPhone, I've tried charging with both a real official apple power adapter and also a generic power adapter - and both worked. (Of course, for my iPad, I had to use the 10w charger that came with my iPad because you can't use anything else when charging from an electrical outlet in the wall.) I will be using this nice long six-foot cable for whenever I want to charge my iPhone or iPad for like when I want to use my iPhone or iPad when I'm in bed or if I'm sitting elsewhere like at the kitchen table and if I want to save the battery for later. (I would be keeping the shorter original cable that came with my iPhone/iPad for use with my macbook for syncing the iPhone/iPad.) I'm happy with this purchase and with this cable.'

Lightweight Stroller - umbrella stroller
Maclaren has the best umbrella stroller available! I have 2 small children and own 2 Maclaren Volo's. I have double strollers, but at times it's much easier for my husband and I to each get a child. That's why I decided to buy 2 of the volo's. I don't think there is a more light-weight stroller out there. It is compact and has a strap for easy hauling when collapsed. It's nice having a hood and storage basket on this type of stroller. Many cheaper umbrella strollers do not come with a hood nor storage space. I highly recommend the Maclaren Volo!!! The roller bar stopped working within 3 months of purchase. Cost $60 to get fixed. A C clip holding the shaft for the belt broke and the bearings are going out already. The suction is great but not much use if the roller doesn't work.
