Touchscreen - mp3, touchscreen
I got the 4GB version of this on a really good sale. Since it has a microSD slot i plan on expanding it as needed. Syncing software is on the player. I plugged it into my Mac, transfered the file, installed the software. The software searched my computer, and pulled all my music into it (minor irritation: it pulled 2 copies of all my songs and i can't delete one copy). It organizes it a lot like itunes, but not quite as shiney (hey, i paid almost $200 less, i'll deal). To transfer songs, i selected the songs, and selected the sync button. It was really fast. The software learning curve took longer than the song transfer. The external speaker is tiny, therefore not the greatest sound, but not much worse than my sister-in-law's ipod touch's speaker. I haven't tried the radio yet; it only works with headphones. Ipod controls are more intuitive, but these aren't bad. Sometimes you have to go though a few menus to find what you want. I recommend calibrating the touch pad. I had trouble getting it to respond until i did that. This player isn't internet ready and lacks all the bells and whistles of the Touch, but it's a nice little music/video player. Coby 8 GB 2.8-Inch Video MP3 Player with Touchscreen, FM, Stereo Speakers and MiniSD Card Slot (Black)
I have had for a mnth and upon arrival, I opened and thought how nice it might be, I had trouble with the touch screen it was not easy everything is backwards from what you'd excpect, then it simply would not charge so in all I cannot recommend. I've had a great experience with cobys other touch screen mp3 players just not this one, amzon refunded with no cost to me for returning.
The product discription on here states that this mp3 player will work with most subscription services. It does not! We tried both Napster and Rhapsody and neither of those reconised it. Do not buy if your wanting a Mp3 player that will work with those.
I purchased this MP3 player thinking it was a touchscreen and had a SD slot, seems like a bargain! I was completely wrong. The touch screen was so difficult to use that it took me 20 minutes to set the date & time. I was horribly dissatisfied. Now, amazon, however, is wonderful. I contacted them via online chat and they informed me I could send it back and get a full refund. I didn't even have to pay for shipping. But word of advice, don't bother with this product
I bought a Coby 8GB MP827 because I wanted a cheap container for my music. Well it is cheap alright... It work fine but the interface is buggy. It would definitely be great if Coby would provide an update. The worst thing to me is that when you browse your music by album (that is what I do most of the time) then the album are not by alphabetical order ! They are shown in the order they were up loaded on the player ! I put more that 40 albums on my player (filling up completely the memory) and when I realized they were in such a weird order, I dump the content of the player on my computer, get it reordered by Windows, and then put it back on the player. Now my albums are in alphabetical order... That was long and annoying...
Also if you expect browsing your music like you would do on an ipod touch then *DO NOT BUY* this player or you will be disappointed. Dragging your finger on the screen doesn't get you anything. You have to tap the screen at specific places to do what you want. And those places on the screen can be very small... It was particularly annoying to set up the time for the clock. The auto tuner for the radio doesn't really work as it tunes on any "noise" it may get. And the manual tuner is really difficult to use too. But you can pre-program your favorite station (up to 20 if I remember correctly). Once this painful operation is done, listening to the radio should not be too difficult (I don't use my player to listen to radio).
Also when I browse my music by album right after power up then it takes a lot of time for the player to display the list of album. You have the feeling that the player has frozen but it hasn't. I just go do something else and come back minutes later to select the album I want to listen to.
The sound coming from the player is fine. The provided ear buds are cheap but I don't use them. I plug my player on my home stereo system and the sound is satisfying for me.
In conclusion, the main problem of this player is a problem of interface. Most of the problems could be fixed by an upgrade of the firmware but I don't count on Coby to do it.
I probably would not buy it again. I'd rather pay a bit more and try a Sansa Fuze or a Sony.
This is exactly what my son wanted and he is very pleased with the quality of the item and of course I am very pleased with the price. I will continue to patronize Amazon for other items. Very convinent and flexible.
im not too happy with this product, ive spoken with a rep from coby about my music files not compatible to this device states sorry also asked for a manual , states id have to find one online??? also the speaker volume on my earpiece and without earpiece is low and i like my music loud , i just kept it cause i dont want the hassel of exchanging or a refund - Touchscreen - Mp4 - Mp3 - Mp5'

Abundant Female Nudity - liv tyler, action adventure
AKA Shaolin Temple 3, this movie is a decent display of Jet Li's kung fu prowess. If the version being offered is by Telefilms International / Beverly Wilshire Filmworks - buyer beware! The film is NOT widescreen (as it says it is), and the subtitles are cut off by the formatting. If you are a Jet Li fan like me, you will enjoy the action sequences, though they are sparse. Creative stances and good moves from Jet save them. I recommend this film to die-hard Jet fans ONLY - kung fu purists will be very disappointed. Jet Li picks up his role as the orphan raised by Shaolin, his sifu from the previous two films returns as well. If you like Jet, and like the series, go for it. Not Jet's best, not his worst, either. Picture and sound quality is poor. Directed by Lau Ka-leung. Martial Arts of Shaolin
It's surprising that more people like Shaolin Temple than Martial Arts of Shaolin, aka The North and South Shaolin. But from my point of view, this movie reflects the young Jet Li's best characteristics. Everyone acts so naturally and beautifully in the movie. There is no other Jet Li's movie which is of such a high spirit--intrinsically funny yet simple!!
This is for true Jet Li fans. Excellent Shaolin Action. And forms, speed just the exquisite style Jet Li is known for. Good story line, Only thing is the picture quality could have been better. I don't think there is a remastered version out there. If so let me know. Until then this is a must see Jet Li Film.
Truly Good Shaolin Action.
I was greatly disappointed, because the movie that I got recorded on the DVD was completely different then "The Martial Arts of Shaolin" although title printed on the box and disk itself was correct. I returned first DVD and got another one. But again it was wrong movie. This way I haven't finally got the movie that I wanted to buy at all :(
This is the best one out of all them, in the series. I'd give this 5 stars but the reason is that you can barely see the subtitles. But its a must see movie, i sorta understood anyway even though i could barely see the subtitles.
MARTIAL ARTS OF SHAOLIN (SHAOLIN TEMPLE 3) isn't the best of the lot, but it's got celebrated director Liu Chia Liang (a.k.a. Lau Kar-Leung) helming the thing, and a young Jet Li in front of the camera, so you can't exactly snub it. This film is a collaboration between the legendary Shaw Brothers studio - which in 1986 had run its course - and Mainland China's dynamic filmmaking sensibilities. Liu Chia Liang gets another crack at promoting the Shaolin monks, and he ably integrates his expertise of southern Shaolin kung fu with the prowess of Mainland China's foremost martial artists. I think it's worth eyeballing.
Why does young Zhi Ming (Jet Li), a pupil of a northern Shaolin temple, train so hard? Is it dedication to his craft? Yes, partly. But Zhi Ming also fosters a hidden agenda which comes to light when he learns of an impending event celebrating the vile governor Lord He Suo's birthday. It's always a trip watching these hotheaded protagonists in these Shaolin temple flicks studiously soak in the Buddha's peaceful philosophies only to see these lessons rapidly abandoned once a chance for a vengeful fighty fight surfaces. Years ago Lord He Suo murdered Zhi Ming's family. Now Zhi Ming sneaks out of the Shaolin monastery, his mind afire with grim thoughts of a reckoning. If nothing else, Lord He Suo deserves a painful and wretched death for his lame villain laugh alone.
During the festivities, our guy runs into Zhao Wei and Si Ma Yan, two martial artists but from a southern Shaolin temple and they happen to be likeminded would-be assassins of the depraved lord. But things go sour, the assassination attempt fails dismally, and Zhi Ming, Zhao Wei, and Si Ma Yan become fugitives. The rest of the film is essentially one long chase and fight sequence. To offset the action, there is a sub-plot concerning matching foot bells, the two bearers of whom are destined to be locked in an arranged marriage. When you consider that Zhi Ming wears one of these foot bells and that his Shaolin standing forbids marriage, well, it adds a measure of dramatic conflict.
MARTIAL ARTS OF SHAOLIN, released in 1986, features a Jet Li that was yet young enough and vibrant enough to pull off those mischievous roles. Even though his character intends to exact unfettered vengeance, there's still a playful side to him which allows for tomfoolery like covertly cooking snake meat and sneaking it into his monastery homies or inadvertently forfeiting a kung fu match against rival students. There's even a sequence in which Jet masquerades as a shepherdess to slip past soldiers at a check point, even as his fellow conspirators dress up as sheep in his flock. And, in case you're struck skeptical at a girl in this picture unconvincingly posing as a man, with everyone onscreen buying the deception, just roll with it. It happens to be a common trope in these films.
The film devotes the opening twenty minutes to establishing Jet Li's scamp persona, after which it proceeds to roll out the frequent fighty fights. As ever, Liu Chia Liang shows off his knack for choreographing crowded fight scenes, and the intricately-staged melee on the river has to be regarded as a career highlight. Jet Li unveils an attack comprised of a full body range of motion, and nowadays when do you see him treat an audience with Beijing acrobatics? And there's an awesome moment near the end in which Yue Hoi, who plays Jet's Shaolin master, uncoils his Mantis technique. It's probably my favorite moment in the movie.
All in all, a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars for this one; it's a solid recommendation. MARTIAL ARTS OF SHAOLIN is pretty dang good. However. I can't quite put a finger on it, but there's something missing in this film, an absent element which keeps it from being an absolute classic. I do know my eyes were rolling at the tired rivalry between Zhi Ming and Zhao Wei. I wasn't down with the leisurely film score; I think it sabotaged the dramatic push of the story. And while I realize that lion and dragon dancing is a staple of the genre, the sequence here went on and on, much to the rapture of the evil Lord He Suo. It's another reason he deserves a painful and wretched death. - Abundant Female Nudity - Action Adventure - Liv Tyler - Kevin Bacon'

Excellent Value
I found the title alone to be a reason to buy this book. I have been an elementary school teacher for 4 year, and I know that sharing is difficult for children. Dana Webb's book is an excellent book for reinforcing this character quality. Jared finds out that there are lots of ways to be a help to others rather than "doing his own thing," with the string that he was given. The main character is joyful as he does various helpful things for people using his string. I think that children will enjoy this book over and over because of its simple message and for the fun illustrations. Some children will go out immediatly looking for ways to share with others as Jared did. Portable Projectors - led, home entertainment
I'll try to keep this short and simple. If you need more images, do not hesitate to ask and I'll be more than happy to post some up.
First and foremost, in terms of build-quality, I can assure you that this device reeks of quality. The metal finish on the top really adds a nice touch of class to the production design as a whole. Having seen other projectors, this is probably the first projector I've seen that has a nice amount of metal (brushed?) in its frame. In terms of actual size, it's like about a stack of 6 ~ 7 CD jewel cases (not the slim ones but the older thick ones). As others have said that, it's surprising that they were able to get a board in there that comes with a whole host of connections (HDMI, USB, S-VIDEO, VGA [doubles as a component with the adapter provided], audio in, audio out).
Now, to boil down to the essence of this product. In terms of performance, this thing does not disappoint for an XGA-resolution projector. Furthermore, this little device scales down 1080p resolution very well while still maintaining most of the sharpness and clarity. For example, a device such as a PS3 hooked up to this device does not affect the readability of the text whatsoever (for games only). Out of the box, you'll notice that the colors might be a little too saturated. However, fear not, as the menu-settings in LG-devices are typically very generous, allowing you to tweak all sorts of aspects of the image as you desire (for me, I toned down the contrast and upped the brightness in order to get a more natural color). If you own an LG HDTV, the menu-layout will pretty much be identical with the addition of a few sections to accommodate the features of a projector.
When it comes to moving objects, I can tell you right now that this PJ really shines. If anything, people who play first-person-shooters a lot will truly appreciate the lack of ghosting and other common LCD-HDTV problems. Furthermore, watching images with fast-scenes are also extremely clear on this PJ.
Now, one issue that is common on projectors using DLP technology is the issue of rainbow colors. I can tell you right now that I was not able to see any rainbow with this projector. Everyone is different with this, so take that for what it's worth. While some have noted here that the projector has no physical spinning color wheel to reproduce the colors, it is not accurate that a lack of color wheel is the equivalent as the nonexistence of rainbow. This is simply because it still depends on how fast the LEDs are pulsing.
So right now, it seems that this thing is mighty perfect. It is not. I do have some beef with it. Firstly, I do think that the price that LG is asking for this device is on the steep side. I'm not going to lie about it. Buying this thing will cause a dent in your wallet/purse. Another issue I have with this projector is that the audio-out is funky. For whatever reason, it's almost as though the audio range is restricted. For example, connecting an external portable speaker and playing it at high volumes resulted in the portable speaker cracking, breaking up, etc. Initially, I thought the high-volume damaged the portable speaker, however I soon found out that the speaker was perfectly fine when plugged into a computer. It should be noted that I only used this PJ in HDMI-mode. I'm going to take a logical guess that the conversion electronics used in this PJ isn't very good (i.e., digital audio from HDMI to analog audio-out).
That's about some of the important things I thought was worth highlighting about the device. Having said that, for those who want to jump to the main-points, read them below.
PROS:
1)Crisp picture quality in XGA-resolution.
2)Awesome scaling in terms of handling higher resolutions like 1080p for a non-PC device.
3)**Very quiet due to having two fans (i.e., lower rpms on both fans while maintaining good air-flow). In presentation mode, it's like a soft but noticeable hum. Fans change RPMs in response to internal temperatures.
4)Build-quality.
5)Standard sized HDMI (big plus for me).
6)**Extensive configurations available for calibrators.
7)Coax port for watching television.
CONS:
1)Price. (-1 star)
2)Audio out is poor.
3)Scaling down 1080p when connected to a PC results in very blurred and almost non-readable text. You're better off running in native XGA resolution.
**:Main-selling points for me when I'm looking at this niche categories of portable LED projectors.
Summary: If you can look past the price, and you aren't a resolution fanatic, and you have your own means of getting audio out without going through the PJ, I would strongly recommend this product. Some might tell you to get other PJs which are newer, have a higher resolution, and is smaller (and cheaper!). This is a fair argument. My only counter-argument is, I always prefer to not be the first adopter of these new chipsets running the 1280x800 resolutions. I prefer to fork out money over tried-and-true tested tech.
Feel free to ask any questions!
P.S. For TV owners, be warned. The purchase of this product might result in your HDTV being a dust-collector. LG HX350T XGA LED Front Projector with Digital TV Tuner
I am so conflicted in writing this review. On the one hand, the LED light source, coax and HDMI input, size, picture quality, and ease of use are all great. On the other hand, three out of seven DVDs/BluRays I have tried have not passed through the audio dialog of the connected movie. The background sounds and music pass through but the main dialog is completely missing. Not a little quiet, but completely missing! Mouths move, but no sound. I returned the first projector that had this problem to Amazon, but the second is doing the same. On some movies the voices do not come across when you hook computer speakers into the audio jack, nor do they come across on the projector's own built in speaker. I believe the projector doesn't know how to handle 5.1 stereo signals and cuts out the most important channel; the from center channel. I tried using different HDMI cables and source players (a laptop with HDMI out and a Playstation 3)but it did the same thing. I then found a DVD that did not play when 5.1 surround was turned, but gave the option of changing the surround to 2.1 in the menu. Sure enough, it played the voices when switched to 2.1.
When I contacted LG and explained what I had found, they simply replied that the projector's menus did not have a lot of options for audio adjustment and I should try always using an audio video receiver. One, this is a portable projector, why would I always have a large receiver toting around with it? Second, it is a mini plug going out from the projector and I don't think 5.1 signals can even be passed through and then decoded in a receiver anyway. I am very disappointed with LG Customer Service, and frustrated with the sound issues. When it works, it is awesome, when it doesn't, what a frustration! - Compact Digital Projector - Home Entertainment - Led Projector - Led'

Heart Ring
good quality and doesn't hurt the wallet's back. comes with 4 stones set in its unique double heart design (1 in each heart & 1 beside each) and nice sterling silver. photos (as usual on amazon) are deceptive so expect a much more dainty ring (band is much thinner, which really makes it much classier and feminine.) a great gift for someone special. Double Heart Diamond Promise Ring ( Availabe Sizes 4-9)
I got this ring for my beloved girlfriend and was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous, well-crafted ring that smiled up at me from the box it was delivered in.
Very nice price for a very nice item, I love this ring almost as much as she does.
This ring was intended as a b-day gift from my 14 year old son to his 14 year old girlfriend. He called it a promise ring. I asked him to clarify what exactly he was promising... that's a story for another day.
As far as rings go, this is a very lightweight, inexpensive-looking ring that was within a 14 year old's budget and made his GF very happy. I was disappointed that there were no smaller sizes, since this is obviously a ring that younger folks would buy and wear. So in addition to the ring cost, be prepared to also pay a ring sizing fee at your local jewelers.
It's alright. Kids will like it. It arrived in less than a week and was just as described.ewi

I got the rings 3 days after it shipped. I bought 2, and they were suppose to be differnt sizes. On the orders from on this website it only said 2 rings, it didnt say the sizes. When they got here, they were both the same size, which is a problem becuase I now have to send one back and order a new one.
The shipping was fast, the rings were nice but the set up of this order form and not getting the differnt sizes made me rate it 4 stars instead of 5'

Compactflash Cards - 32 gb, compactflash
The performance seems to match or exceed the requirements of Canon 5D Mk II and does not cause any problem while taking pictures or shooting HD video. Most demanding picture format on 5D Mk II is RAW + JPEG (Fine+Large), and 32GB card can usually hold more than 900 of those. Transcend 32 GB Compact Flash Card 400X (Blue)
Works perfetly in all Canon EOS 7d HD Movie modes. I purchased two of them along with my 7d and have just ordered a 32 GB Transcend to extend HD movie capacity from 48 min with this 16 GB to 96 min.
May 2011 Update: While this 400x Transcend continues to work perfectly with my 7d under almost all conditions, I have recently found one condition where the faster 600x Transcend MIGHT make a very modest difference. When you are shooting RAW at 8 frames per second with this 400x, the camera slows down to about 1 frame per second after the buffer is full -- about six or eight shots. This would also happen at 600x, but I dont know how much it would improve. I just performed an experiment with my 400x Transcend/7D and got the following number of shots off in five seconds:
1. Large JPG only: 39 shots (buffer never overloads).
2. Large RAW only: 24 shots (slows down after about 8 shots).
3. Large RAW plus Large JPG: 17 shots.
In summary, there is no reason for 7D owners to spend the big bucks to go from 400x to 600x for video and probably no significant improvement even for 8fps RAW. Check out the table on page 59 of your EOS 7D Instruction Manual and do the math for yourself. High speed (8fps) RAW generates about 200MB/s while the 400x cards and 600x cards handle only 60MB/s and 90MB/s reapectively. Also note than if you are shooting RAW + JPEG, you can more than double your burst length by going to RAW only and converting later. Burst capability is therefore much more about the camera's buffer size and processing speed than about card speed. I have concluded that this 400X Transcend is the one for me and find no reason to spend more. If you are a 7D/600x owner who wishes to repeat this test with a 600x Transcend, I would greatly appreciate your reply to this post. For me, it would be an expensive experiment.
While searching for a CF card for my new camera, I didn't find many specific card results. So if you are using a Nikon D300s, this review is for you.
This card works great in my Nikon D300s. Here are my results at 7 frames per second:
RAW-12 BIT - Buffer show 17 frames but shoots 25 frames before buffer fills. Pause for about one second and can shoot for about 5 shots. Pause for 3 seconds and can shoot for 16 before buffer fills. Capacity shows 770 shots available but goes over 800.
JPEG-Large-Fine - Buffer shows 21 but never fills and will shoot at 7fps up to the Nikon limit of 100 shots. It goes down to about 7 or 8 in the buffer but never slows down.
Capacity shows 1400 (1.4K) photos available. I don't shoot JPEG much so I don't know the actual totals. 1400+ is a lot for one card.
I consider myself a serious amateur photographer and this card fulfills all my needs. My photography is mostly HDR, landscapes, and my kids (both at home and playing sports).
Unless you need to shoot in RAW 25+ photos at 7fps consistently, this is a great card for the money. If you shoot JPEG, it will work as fast as the camera.
I purchased this 16GB card for the same price as the Sandisk 8GB card. So for the price of a Sandisk 16GB card, I bought two Transcend 16GB cards. Until this card, I always shot with Sandisk Extremes III sdhc cards.
Shipped fast with Prime.
I will update here if I have any issues.
One minute, I was looking through images from a very important shoot on the back of my 7D and patting myself on the back.
The next minute, after turning off the camera and putting the card in my card reader, I couldn't see anything in Finder.
I turned on PhotoRec and tried to bring the card up. It told me that the card was 31.5 MB, not 16 GB. I tried a couple of other software packages with no luck.
I consulted a forensic expert (seriously, he had a ridiculous, proprietary, homemade card-scanning machine, and does lots of work with data recovery for the legal field) who ended up using a dummy card to bypass this card's controller. He told me that all of the memory on this card contained zeros. And that somehow, this card's firmware was incorrectly reporting itself.
My client's photos can never, ever be recovered. Ever. And this is probably because someone at Transcend wanted to save $5 on this card and bought cheaper, less reliable memory chips than they should have.
I've had no response from Transcend tech support after several days and am never buying one of their products again, even if it's $30 cheaper than the Sandisk version. Even if it's $200 cheaper than the Sandisk version, for that matter.
Don't buy this card! Don't buy anything from this company! And feel free to e-mail me to confirm that I don't work or consult for anyone in the electronics industry. We can even meet for coffee and maybe draw pictures of Transcend CompactFlash cards with crayons and then rip them into tiny shreds.
Cheap memory cards are cheap because margins are cut. And these are not margins that you want cut when it comes to crucial images for your clients.
Like another poster, this card also failed on me after one month. I used it in a Canon 5DMk2, taking movies, images. I had an important shoot to do for a friend's family (all gathered from out of town). Everything seemed fine while taking the photos. I was able to review them on the camera, etc.
Got home, took the card out, plugged it into the PC's card reader.
Nothing. The computer didn't even see the card. I put it back into the camera. The camera also said that the card wasn't there, or needed to be formatted.
I tried every recovery program I had to find the card and the files. Nothing worked.
I tried formatting the card in the camera, and the camera wouldn't format it.
This is the last Transcend card I'm buying. - 32gb - 32 Gb - Compact Flash - Compactflash'

SquareTrade Warranty: 3-Years - Electronics $200-250 I bought a 22 inch computer monitor two years ago. Came with a one year manufacturer warranty. Why would a manufacturer only warranty an item for a year? That's what I thought, too so I bought a STW for less than $30. Guess what went out about a year and a half later. I had to package it up and send it back to them and their return policy would not let me pay for any added features (signature delivery, insurance). The good news is within two weeks I had a check back for the original purchase amount(less taxes). By that time the price had fallen, I got a model with a manufacturer three year warranty for less money. I own several of these warranties. If you are going to buy a warranty this is where I'd look first. SquareTrade 3-Year Electronics Warranty ($200-250 Items)
Our PS3 quit and the response from Square Trade was prompt and easy to follow. The problem was fixed and the money refunded to my PayPal account was done quickly. Everything went very smoothly. I will always use Square Trade for every warranty I need. Thanks!!
My used Nintendo Wii that I purchased off of EBay kept getting an error message. I submitted the claim, received a reply the next day, got a shipping package in a few days, and received the repaired unit in less than a week!! I will purchase this warranty service in the future for sure when I purchase another electronic item.
I buy a lot of electronic 'toys' and invest in Square Trade warranties for just about all of them because of the good experiences I have had with them. I have fortunately only had to make three claims in the last couple of years, one just a couple of weeks ago. All were handled quickly and I received their payments very, very promptly. It was a simple, hassle free experience and they did not
While there are a many warranty companies out there that don't pay their claims or try to find ways to wriggle out of paying their claims, Square Trade absolutely, positively does. Their warranty plans are very competitively priced and they deliver what they promise.
I purchased a warranty for an Xbox that I gave my son as a gift. When the dreaded red dot appeared after 4 months, I dug out the warranty and submitted a claim by following the very clear directions. Within a few days, I had a paid mailing label along with instruction on how to send the unit to Square Trade. Within another week, my claim was paid in full. This warranty was a great investment, worth every penny. Square Trade stood behind the warranty and was professional and prompt. I will definitely do business with them again.
I bought a used computer from eBay in Jan.
At that time the seller recommend the SquareTrade,
and I bought 1 year warranty.
(Because I will go back to my country next Jan.)
Unfortuneately my PC has gone in June,
so I sent an e-mail attached a video file.
Then the SquareTrade refunded to my PayPal account,
and I bought another PC.
It was a great experience,
and I always recommend the SquareTrade to my friends.
SquareTrade Warranty: 3-Years - Electronics $350-400
After having my son's Ipod Touch for a year & a half, it suddenly stopped working, thankfully I purchased the extended warranty from Squaretrade, it was much cheaper than a regular warranty, but comes with the same protection as any other warranty. After contacting SquareTrade, we sent the Ipod to them & they reimbursed me the full amount in which I paid for the Ipod so we could purchase a new one, and so therefore I bought another warranty from SquareTrade for it.
I had a warranty on refub. xbox360 That I bought off ebay. It was a year warranty. It broke after 11 months. They were good about troble shooting, and then I sent it to them. I got a full refund. Very easy to work with. I was disappointed to find out they don't do warranty's anymore on refub. xboxes from ebay. But I have already bought other warranty's with them. Micro Usb Cable - android, charge
This is the second time that I am reviewing this, because somehow the company DELETED my previous negative review.
United Integral says that this is a "Blackberry" cable and even uses a picture (illegally) of a Blackberry cable, an OEM one. This cable is NOT Blackberry and doesn't work as a data and charging cable for my phone. DO NOT PURCHASE this if you want a cable that works.
United Integral told me that they are sorry for the "Listing Error". United Integral even had the audacity to ask that I reconsider my review (then they had it deleted) and I told them that I would not because I don't want other buyers to get defrauded by them. AND, they still have not changed the listing. BlackBerry USB Cable Micro USB 1.0m (Black)
I should have noticed the review another customer posted previously, but missed it. This cable is not a micro usb as advertised, it is a mini usb which is larger and NOT the new standard most phones are using. The cable does not fit the droid which requires a micro usb connection. The item description needs to be changed, it is not accurate.
yea thanks for misleading me on this one. i'm sure it's a great cable...just not for the phone i need it for. this is a mini usb, not micro. it will not fit the droid i need it for. luckily, i can put these cables to use because i always need these type of cables for cameras and stuff....but not what i ordered them for.
This is the first review I've ever written on Amazon. I have not had a bad experience until this one. I ordered 3 of these cables because I have had blackberry's in the past and the cables worked on my Evo. The earlier reviews rated this item very well and that is what convinced me to purchase these. The OEM shop sent me Micro USB cables and have not responded to any emails. Horrible customer service and now I have 3 usb cables that I can't use. BUYER BEWARE OF THE OEM SHOP!!!! It's been over a week and I still have no response.
The product wasn't a blackberry cable. It was a generic, and not even a decent one at that. It didn't work with my phones, unlike other generic micro USB cables I've purchased (at least mine was micro, and not mini which some reviewers received). All I can say is that it was cheap. Considering the dirt cheap price, it wasn't even worth my time to try to return them.
This cable is much thinner than the cable that came with my Motorola Droid. Other than looking too thin, it looked like a fine cable. This cable worked for a week, then stopped working. You get what you pay for. This cable is cheap and cheaply made. Don't buy it. - Usb Cable - Charge - Micro Usb Cable - Android'

Camera Memory - 32gb, sdhc
We bought this memory card after reading ratings and reviews with the intent of using it for family functions and our kids' sports events. It as been used almost weekly, and sometimes daily, since April 2010, so about 6 months. It has been flawless until recently, when the little locking clip broke off. We taped the location so the card could be read and written on, which has worked just fine. We will certainly purchase this product again if ever needed. Sandisk 32 GB Extreme SDHC Cards (SDSDX3-032G-A31)
This is probably the best SD card you can get. Yes, it is very pricey, but worth the money. Keeps all the quality in my photos and videos, and loads onto my computer very fast. I use a Canon Rebel T3i, and film on the highest quality, 1080p. I can get over 2 hours of filming on this card, at the highest quality. Highly recommend.
This review is more for the seller than the product. I wasn't able to utilize this product in my Canon Vixia HFS10 camera due to its Class 10 feature. My HD camera requires a Class 4 or Class 6 camera and the highest resolution video isn't compatible with Class 10 SDHC cards. It is unfortunate that Canon's cameras aren't up to date with the abilities of the Class 10. When I purchased the product and realized it wouldn't work for my camera, I contacted the seller Digital Media Source via email and explained my situation. There was a quick response and I was able to return the product for a refund/exchange. I was happy with the customer service that I received.
Although still a bit pricey...excellant read/write speeds. I use these discs for wedding videography! I higly recommend them. There is also data recovery software incase you lose some or all of your data, although I've never had any failures with these discs. Hopefully the price will continue to come down so I can buy a bunch more! - Sdhc - Sandisk - 32gb - Class 10'

Capture Card - hd pvr, high definition
After going through a horrific experience with AverTV HD DVR, I bought this product directly through Hauppauge. This card tops AverTV HD DVR 10 fold. No questions asked.
Best part, this card does all of the video encoding, meaning your PC's CPU hardly does anything at all. The quality that it gives is incredible with the file size being relatively small. Colossus gets captured using software such as WinTV and Arcsoft. WinTV records into a format of .ts. You can easily import the .ts file into adobe premiere if you rename .ts to .mpg. No problem.
You can record pretty much anything except for PS3 through HDMI, but you can record Xbox 360 and PC through HDMI.
Pros:
Hardware Encoder (No CPU Usage)
Excellent Quality
Great Software
Video and Audio are in sync
Cons:
None. Hauppauge Colossus PCI Express Internal HD-PVR TV Tuners & Video Capture 01414
I purchased this card to allow for my Windows 7 Media Center (W7MC) PC to capture and display HD video from my set top box tuner. I have played with the included software just for troubleshooting purposes and cannot comment much on that topic. Here is my experience (mostly pertaining to using this card with W7MC).
Pros:
* Easy install (installed the card, loaded the drivers/software off of the included CD and it was up and running)
* Captured video is of very good quality
* Large number of supported inputs (Composite Video, Component Video, HDMI, Optical/toslink Audio, Digital Coaxial Audio, Analog Audio)
* Can be made to work with W7MC with the use of DVBLink (a software add-on from DVBLogic at a cost of $40)
Cons:
* Third-party software is needed to integrate with W7MC
* Not really a Hauppauge issue - but DVBLink software does not support composite video when used to integrate device with W7MC (only HD sources)
* Practically no printed documentation included with product - all documentation is on the included CD.
I've been thinking about upgrading my archiving capabilities for a while now. For the last 5 years or so, I used a Panasonic DVD recorder to offload my shows and football games from my Directv HD DVR. It did the job quite nicely. However, I really wanted to go HD all the way to the disk. I was looking for the simplest solution possible. That means, capture the footage, edit it(with no re-encoding), make the menus and burn the file to disk while maintaining excellent quality.
I ended up getting the Hauppauge HDPVR about 2 months ago and was quite happy with it. I happen to come across the Hauppauge Colossus purely by accident, and fortunately for me, was able to return the HD PVR before the 30 days were up. My main reasons for keeping the Colossus were:
1)It costs less
2)It's an internal PCI-e card
3)It can record at a higher bitrate
4)It can record from an unencrypted HDMI source
First of all, let me just say that I only use the Colossus to capture shows off my Directv HD DVR. I don't use the WinTv app, I don't use the IR blaster, or any of the other options for tuning tv stations. It's simply my HD capture solution. For my needs, it works great. It comes with software (Arcsoft Showbiz) for recording, editing, and burning your footage to disk.
I only use it to record footage to my hard drive. For editing purposes, I use Videoredo TVSuite V4 so I don't have to re-encode my edited footage. With the Showbiz software, it always wants to re-encode unless you're only chopping off the beginning and the end of the file.
For making my final output file that gets burnt to disk I use a free program called MultiAVCHD coupled with ImageBurn (another free program). I burn the file to a Blu ray blank (BD-R) and it comes out with full menus and chapter menus as well. The Showbiz burning program will only let you burn to DVD or DVD-DL disks. It won't work with Blu rays. By using BD-Rs, I can record nearly 3 hours of 1920 x 1080 HD at 18 mbps onto a single 25 GB disk.
The recording quality is excellent. It's maybe slightly nicer that the Hauppauge HD PVR (not by much). The biggest improvement I've found is that when I'm recording AC3 audio with the Colossus, if the source feed has a dropout, which happens occasionally, I don't lose nearly 10 seconds of video feed like the HD PVR use to. That's big for me.
The great thing about the Colossus is that it is a hardware encoder. It does all the heavy lifting itself and leaves your CPU free to do other things at the same time. The only thing you might have trouble with on an older computer is playing back the recorded H.264 file. However, you can still capture with it no problem.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
I've had seven SD and HD Hauppauge cards in the past decade and was pleased with all of them. Hauppauge makes great hardware, they just work. I'm currently running a 2250 and an external 1212 and can record 1080i with both at the same time on the same computer with no issues. Excellent cards.
HOWEVER...
This 1414 was a nightmare and I regret buying it. I'm often an early adopter and used to new tech not working right out of the box - but the 1414 is not ready for prime time.
Unlike every other Hauppauge card, the 1414 can not be used in a computer with any other capture devices installed - including other Hauppauge cards (like my 2250 and 1212). Support says they are working on new drivers. No time frame was given.
The current drivers are very buggy. The 1414 will randomly be rendered useless - in Windows 7 device manager the error in properties: "device cannot start". Support is working on a fix.
WinTV 7 is all but worthless, just a string of error messages most of the time. WinTV has always been bare-bones and buggy but I was unable to get any video with WinTV 7 at all.
The included "Showbiz" software does preview video (so the hardware does work) but randomly locks up to the point of requiring a hard restart of Windows 7. Again support is "aware of the issue".
I want to love this card - unfortunately it's not worth the time and effort invested that resulted in nothing but frustration. The people who get the card to work seem to love it - unfortunately, there are message boards filled with poor SOBs like myself pulling their hair out over this card.

Dual Layer Lightscribe - dvd dual layer, dual layer dvd
I'm not sure what the previous reviewer's problems were, but I've burnt about 20 of these discs so far with no problems at all. I have used CloneCD and Nero for Windows, Toast for the Mac. All have played flawlessly in my disc players.
As I mentioned in the title, it is a bit overpriced. You could get about double these discs for the same price without the Lightscribe feature. But for those that prefer laser designs over black markers for their discs, then this is a great option for dual-layer. Verbatim 96689 8.5 GB 8x LightScribe Double-Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 10-Disc Spindle
Other than the price, these discs work great. I don't understand the issues some are having. I have durned all 10 discs with no problem. I use ConvertXToDVD 4 and have the settings set to DVD9 and it burns like a charm.
For those having issues:
Make sure you change your settings in your program. If they're set to DVD5 it may not burn correctly.
Make sure your drive is DL compatible. Not all drives are.
Discs worked perfect for my burning needs with no coasters. Lightscribe side burns as well as any other LS disc out there (depending on your burner and software). Used these discs with a Lite-On burner and Nero software. Have gone through 20 discs so far and more to go.
I don't mind paying a little extra for quality products. I discovered, after many hundreds of dollars in cheap media, that cheap media end up costing more at the end. I lost track of the many dead DVDs and CDs I trashed over the years or the hundreds of hours I spent to create a DVD or CD duds. Verbatim is little overpriced for my taste, but I'm yet to burn a dud due to media quality.
I own a Lite-On lightscribe DVD burner. I bought these lightscribe DVD DLs along with some regular (Memorex) DVD+R DLs. The Memorex DVDs work fine, but the lightscribe DVDs are not recognized by my drive. This problem has been reported by a couple of other reviewers as well. Even if you have a drive that burns DVD+R DL disks, it may not work with these ones. I have no idea why. The specifications for these disks and the Memorex disks appear to be identical (DVD+R DL 8x).
I use these DL DVDs when I need to burn a longer movie project that I have been working on to DVD at full bit rate. Adobe Premiere Elements will adjust the bit rate down to make the movie fit on the media that it is given. Some work needs the full bit rate to retain resolution. It is a shame that I can only buy the DVD DL LightScribe disks in a 10 count pack. I'd like to buy a stack of 50.
DVD's worked well and I love the Lightscribe, but wish they were available in colors like the CD's. Haven't been able to find any other colors. The gold color is rather bland. The titles when burned into the DVD's are readable but could be darker. Not sure if that's the DVD or the burner. Other than that the product worked great.
The Lightscribe labels are a nice touch. But the image is not that great, and probably not worth the added cost.
Dual layer is great. More on the disc, or don't haved to compress (and lose quality).
Only bought one 10-pack, and burned 6 discs so far. But have had no bad ones.
I think only Verbatim makes the D/L + LightScribe discs, currently, and only offers them in this 10-pack. (or maybe I saw a 3-pack also??) - Dual Layer Dvd - Lightscribe - Verbatim - Dvd Dual Layer'

Eneloop - low discharge nimh, rechargeable batteries
I have done extensive testing on the original eneloop rechargeable batteries since early 2007, shortly after they were introduced in the US. I have also tested the blue second-generation eneloop cells from the Costco eneloop package back in 2010. But this is the first time I have seen second-gen eneloop in white wrappings being sold in the US. With so much talk about counterfeit eneloop going around, I was understandably cautious when I purchased those SANYO NEW 1500 eneloop 8 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries.
I tested four of those cells, using my old La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger.
- Right out of the package, their average remaining charge is 1568mAh, or nearly 80% of the rated capacity of 2000mAh. The spread is also very small, from 1558 to 1577mAh. This proves that they are indeed low-self-discharge type. (Date code on my cells says "11-01", or Jan 2011)
- After one recharge/discharge cycle, their average capacity improved to 2115mAh
- After two more recharge/discharge cycles, their average capacity leveled off at 2133mAh, or more than 6% higher than the rated capacity.
The above results are very consistent with what I have previously observed, while testing second-gen eneloop cells in the Costco package. Therefore I'm convinced that those are indeed genuine second-gen Sanyo eneloop cells. (See the scans I uploaded to Customer Images section, if you need to distinguish between old and new eneloop cells)
On the other hand, currently the prices of those new eneloop cells are about 25-50% higher than that of the original eneloop cells. So one may question: do the new eneloop cells offer sufficient improvement over the old, to justify the price different? Let's compare the following factors:
- Cycle Life: The 2nd-gen eneloop claims to "recharge up to 1500 cycles", while the original only claims 1000 cycles. This 50% improvement looks great on paper, but note that if you recharge your eneloop cells twice every week, it will take 10 years to reach 1000 cycles. So in real life, most average users will never notice the difference.
- Self-Discharge Rate: The new eneloop cells claim to "maintain 75% charge after 3 years", while the original only claims "80% after 2 years". Again, in real life most people will never notice the difference.
- Capacity: First-gen eneloop AA cells have "Typ 2000mAh, Min 1900mAh" printed on them, while 2nd-gen eneloop AA cells only say "Min 1900mAh". But in fact they have the same capacity rating of 2000mAh (typical) according to official Sanyo web site. My measured capacity numbers are actually around 2100mAh for both versions.
BOTTOM LINE:
Both the new and old eneloop cells are excellent products. You can safely mix and match them in any application, and probably nobody can tell the difference in the next 10 years. But in case you can't decide which version is a better value... Just flip a coin and pick one - you can't lose either way! SANYO NEW 1500 eneloop 8 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries
I put two Eneloop AA batteries into my Kodak Easyshare C182 digital camera. I took flash photos one after another, in order to drain the batteries. I counted 250 photos before the low-battery warning automatically shut off the camera. That's a pretty good number of photos from one set of batteries. I'd never have gotten anywhere near that many with alkalines. And you can recharge these Eneloops up to 1500 times, so maybe one set of Eneloop AA batteries will let me take, eventually, more than 350,000 photos. If I take 20 photos each day, then two batteries would let me take photos for about 48 years. Four would suffice for a lifetime. The camera will wear out before the batteries do. I bought 32 of them, just in case there are other things that need AA batteries, also. And I bought 28 AAA size Eneloop batteries, too.
I'm pretty sure I've reviewed these Eneloop batteries before but I use them so much and like them so much - I think they deserve another 5-star review!
I'm not sure what's NEW about these batteries, but they seem to be just as good as the previous Eneloops.
First, I've got about two dozen of these batteries in daily use. I've Never had one fail to take a charge and I'm sure I've cycled some of these well over 250 times.
I use them in remote controls, professional Nikon flash units, high powered LED flashlights (like the Fenix TK-40 which uses 8 AA cells) and many other applications.
I only charge them with this charger: Maha PowerEx MH-C808M Ultimate Professional Charger - available on Amazon. This model charges AAA, C, And D batteries as well. There is an AA-only model for a little less.
I think the charger is the key to long life. Some chargers keep charging or charge at such a high rate that they batteries overheat and fail prematurely.
Sanyo claims these batteries will hold at least 80% of their charge for a year. I actually tested this with two batteries. I brought them to a full charge and let them sit for a full year. Then I tested them with my tester (ZTS Multi Battery Tester - ZTS MBT-1). They both showed 80 percent. Most NiMh batteries would be totally dead after sitting for an entire year.
Note: if you want to test NiMh batteries accurately (along with many other battery types) get this charger available at Amazon: ZTS Multi Battery Tester - ZTS MBT-1. It's the best by far. - Low Discharge Nimh - Rechargeable Batteries'

Wonder Pill
As the other reviewer mentioned, it does have more of a coconut smell than the other 2 I bought, but it has an off taste to it that the others do not. Reading about coconut oils, someone mentioned the gag factor. I had no idea what they were referring to until I tasted this. NOW's a good name, but they fell short here. You'd be better off with Jarrow or Nutiva, similar price, better taste...
This oil has a rancid, off-putting odor that smells NOTHING like coconut, more like yeast. It also has a TERRIBLE taste. DO NOT BUY!!!
I consume a jar of coconut oil a week because I take it as a supplement and cook with it. Jarrow, Spectrum and Swanson are MUCH better. Their coconut oils smell really good with a fresh, coconut scent and taste great too.
As a frequent NOW customer, I was surprised at the poor quality of their coconut oil. It was yellow, cloudy, and smelled so rancid that I didn't dare eat it. NOW usually sells good products, so maybe I just got a rare bad batch of coconut oil - who knows? I think I'll stick with Nutiva organic VCO, which has never disappointed me.
I don't eat this. I use it on my skin and in my hair. It is great for locs as it is a light-weight conditioner and has a subtle coconut scent that quickly dissipates. It won't weight your hair down, make it hard; or, get kind of rancid like castor oil can. It was fresh and well packed. I recommend it as a great natural softening product for hair and skin, especially right after a bath/shampoo.
I have used these pills for a long time, but I have never eaten them. I swallow them just like any other pill. Why are people eating them and complaining about the taste? If you want to taste coconut oil, why not buy the real stuff and eat it out of the jar?'
