40mm - kenneth cole reaction belts, 40mm
I bought this as a gift for my husband, never having seen one in person, and was really happy with how durable and stylish it is. I was worried it might be a little wide (too high for belt loops), but it fits and he actually really likes it! very happy with the belt, the price, and the quick ship time. Dickies Mens 38mm Leather Belt With Two Row Stitch, Brown, 36
It feels like real leather; it wears like real leather; it looks like real leather....its a real leather. I love this BELT. I have always contemplated changing my previous belts. When they started falling apart on me, i came on Amazon and its been a blessing. I wish i had done this earlier. Highly recommend this belt to everyone and just for the record, i bought about 2-3 different types so i can switch back and forth instead of using one belt all the time like i did previously.
i wear a 34 waist and i was always told to buy one size up. so i did, and it turns out i went up one notch from my previous belt. and that was with a little tugging involved. ill probably return it for a bigger size. so if you wear a 34 and your still growing get a 38 or buy in a store, you can try them on and see whats your style and what fits the best.
This is the nicest $20 belt I've ever seen, and is for sure my new favorite belt. I love that the hardware isn't shiny or chrome. It's a rough metal that doesn't attract too much attention. This is very well made, not cheap at all. Double stitched and made out of very nice material. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is easily prone to scratch marks - I think it must be real leather. It's versatile and fashionable - love it! Received quickly. - 40mm - Leather Tow Sides Belt - Kenneth Cole Reaction Belts'

Tomtom Xl 330s - tomtom one xl, tomtom
I bought this unit refurbished as indicated. I was worried about the possibility of it not coming with the most recent map updates (see the reviews for the TomTom ONE XL-S refurbished unit), but I went ahead and bought it anyway since I was being frugal. The GPS came packaged nicely and did not have any blemishes or anything on it. I used it for the first time on a several day trip to Phoenix, where I really got to experience the functionality of the device.
Some good points:
-- the 4.3" screen is nice, and I would recommend this screen size over the 3.5" models.
-- the set-up is relatively easy (which was great since the instruction manual is a joke!).
-- TomTom has a pretty cool website (TomTom HOME) for you to use to get necessary updates your GPS, download accessories, etc.
Some bad points"
-- the instruction manual is a joke. Thankfully, I had a vague sense of what to do because I'd used a GPS once before.
-- the car adapter plugs in to the bottom of the unit in a way that is a bit unwieldy and awkward.
-- you can only get the street names spoken with the computer-generated voice. If you chose any of the more human-sounding voices, the street name function will not work.
-- whenever you download a new map or map update, you lose your saved favorites. You have to manually re-enter them or save the file from before you updated.
-- it took forever for me to figure out how to cancel a destination once I was already en-route. Since there is no help in the instruction manual, I just had to start pressing areas of the screen to get the device to take me to the right menu screen!
-- AND VERY IMPORTANTLY: The unit I received came with a map that was 4 quarters (i.e., one year) old. This was a risk based on some other reviews, even though the product description said the device comes with the most updated map or comes with the latest map guarantee. So, I read up on the other TomTom refurb units that Amazon sells, and people were saying that it was relatively easy to get TomTom to give you an updated map. So, I called the customer service line and talked to a rep. He said that I needed the map guarantee certificate that came in the box, but I did not receive one. (FYI: some reviewers of the refurbished TomTom ONE XL-S unit said they got this in the box along with their GPS). Since I didn't have a certificate, the rep said it was unlikely I would get a new map. However, I was determined to get my update, so I pressed a bit further. The rep said maybe I could just send in my proof of purchase (Amazon receipt) and we'll see what happens. (You can fax it or send it as an attachment through a website.) I did that, and lo and behold, I got an email message the NEXT DAY saying that my map update had been uploaded to my TomTom HOME account. I downloaded it the next day without any problems. So, despite the reluctance of the customer service rep, I got my new map!
Overall, the unit works well, though the spoken street names can be bit hard to understand at times. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. TomTom XL 330S 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator (Factory Refurbished)
bought this unit for the wide screen and street name instructions feature - have used for two vacation trips to unfamiliar areas and so far it is everything I expected. Very accurate, good instructions, good street name pronunciation and very quick rerouting if wrong turn taken.
First unit I received had out of date maps which tommtom would not update for free, but Amazon quickly shipped me a replacement unit that updated maps free at tomtom home with no problem. Amazon really stands behind the items I have purchased through them.
I've been trying to figure out which GPS device to buy for quite a while. Each manufacturer makes so many different versions, it is difficult to pick which one is best for you. This is a very good, middle of the road model that does almost everything that I want it to do. It's also refurbished, which I was concerned about. But it has worked perfectly, and I just returned from a 2,860 mile trip. This TomTom was a lifesaver, especially when driving through New York City. It is easy to use, it worked right out of the box, and now I can't imagine driving without it.
The only thing I wish I had considered was the SD memory slot. This model does not have one, and when I was downloading the updated maps, I realized that I would have to delete some other features that I downloaded because there was not enough memory. There is just enough memory to hold the map package, plus a few other things. But if you don't need or want some of the other bells and whistles (which you really don't need), and you just want to be able to get around, this is a great model. And it doesn't have all those other things like bluetooth or an mp3 player. But who needs those on your GPS when your phone or iPod has all of that?
All in all, I'm very happy with this TomTom, and very happy with the price of the refurbished model.
Urge no one buy this refurbished product if you really have to depend on it. No savings from "NEW" product, because:
1. Maps need to be updated at a substantial cost, exceeding the cost of a "NEW" product. If you don't depend on updated maps, then this would be perfect GPS for you.
2. Limited warranty of six (6) months vs normal warranty of one year.
3. Hasseling with the customer service to find out that unit does not come with updated maps. Amazon printed review by R.Ned on June 8, 2009 that said he got the update from TOM TOM Customer Service. Very misleading and appears to be boardering on unfair and deceptive sale practice in most states.
This is a great GPS, and very cost effective, but the map update is very spotty.
I bought both this one and the 130-S from Amazon, both refurbs.
The 130-S was [...] dollars cheaper, but this one is bigger and has a 3 hour battery life instead of 2 hour. I think it has a faster processor too, but cannot be 100% sure on this. You can decide whether this is worth the upgrade.
The GPS has 1.6 PointsOfInterest, downloadable POI for free online, map corrections, voices and car icons. One note about voices: ONLY the computerized ones are worth anything. The rest cannot do text-to-speech which makes them worthless. So you will have 1 male downloadable and 1 female built-in voice that is usable.
Features-wise, the latest GPSes have lots of junk that boosts the price tag. The main feature this has is text-to-speech (the -s on the end), which is WELL WORTH the [...] dollar price premium. This GPS is very good for getting where you need to go, which is why you are buying one. Not to play MP3s...
The biggest issue is getting the Latest Map Guarantee. If you are Lucky, you can plug it in and download the latest. This was the case with my first GPS. No worries.
If you are NOT lucky, it will have expired. In that case, you must call customer service. They will tell you that it is NOT honored for refurbs. You then have the choice of...
a) Whining bittery/begging/crying/whatever to get customer service to give you a free map update. (this worked for me)
a1) Keep calling back until you get a favorable response.
b) Return the unit. (Sure, it SAYS you can only return to TomTom, but its only a strip of paper.)
c) Keep it and use the 1 or 2 year old maps.
d) Pay [...] bucks and buy the updated map.
d1) Pay [...] bucks and get a 1 year subscription. (Companies love these because you forget to cancel) - Tomtom One Xl - Tomtom - Gps Comparison - Gps'

Garmin Nuvi 880 - automotive, adapter
I purchased this item and while it worked for about 1.5 months after that it developed a short in the cord and would constantly keep trying to turn the gps off. It finally quit working this weekend after 2 and a half months of use. Unfortunately my return period has expired. This is a total waste of money and I do not recommend the product. Garmin Car Power Adapter/Charger for nuvis
I have been using this adapter for about three weeks and it is still fully functional. It fits with my splitter and charges my Garmin unit perfectly. The charger is clearly cheaply constructed, hence the sub-$5 price tag. I'm not sure how one can shell out a whopping $3 for a replacement like this, then come up shocked when it isn't perfect. Anyway, mine works fine, but in time I expect the actual outer "shell" of the charger to fall apart, it just seems poorly constructed. For what it's worth, the Garmin-brand charger that came with my GPS unit showed signs of wear fairly quickly as well.
This product doesn't actually charge the device, it only makes it power up, so it must be plugged into at all times. Additionally, several times through out the trip it "reboots" the Garmin as though it is syncing to a computer, then goes back to the map of where you are going, but if you were supposed to make a turn during that process, you just missed it.
This is a type B USB cable instead of a type A USB cable. If you connect a type B cable, the Nuvi starts up in USB mode. Supposedly, you can hold the bottom left corner of the screen for 15 seconds while powering up to bypass USB mode but I found an easier way.
Power up without the cable.
Hold down the battery icon for about 5 seconds to enter Diagnostic mode.
Connect the cable.
Exit Diagnostic mode.
Your Nuvi should be in GPS mode now.
This barely worked a month before it broke. The only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I'm considering the fact that I only paid $7 for it. I guess you get what you paid for. Don't waste your time; save your seven bucks and get one that works.
Since we lost our original charger, we have gone through several. Many of them have broken and none of them could charge the GPS while it was navigating. This is the first one that can charge in the car without putting the unit into link mode.
Edit: After a few months of happy use, the charger blew the fuse for our cigarette lighter and died... I knocked it down to three stars only because I don't know if this will happen in other cars. For us, though, that pretty much brings it down to 1.
Not Recommended. Product does not look like the one displayed in picture - retractable chord instead, a short cable too. Moreover, the product on powering up, directly goes to PC sync mode. From Garmin forums, this is a possibility when the 12v cable is faulted - at least it didn't work for Garmin nuvi 205W. - Garmin Nuvi 350-360 Dc Charger - Charger - Automotive - Adapter'

Toddlers
I bought this suit for my 2-year-old daughter. We live in Atlanta but our neighborhood pool is chilly and my daughter is pretty small (i.e. - no extra fat to keep her warm). This swimsuit works great to keep her comfortable in the pool - which means she enjoys swimming with us more - and to protect her from the sun. Plus, it comes in cute colors! Bare Sprint Shorty Wetsuit for Toddlers and Kids - 6 - SEA
Great wetsuit for little kids. Provides enough warmth for swimming lessons, beach etc. Good arm movement, easy on and off with big zipper. Wasn't crazy about color combo...sort of a cross between Ronald MacDonald and a generic Super Hero. But kids seemed happy enough with it and it makes it easy to keep an eye on the little ones. Had one of these for my daughter, I bought it big and it lasted 4 years of swimming lessons and ocean going vacations, would have passed it on to my son, but it is pink! Still in great shape.'

Support System For Pontoon Covers
when I first got this product it was really cool and it worked okay. The problem was (even using the grey pvc) is that the pvc pipes would become permanently bowed which was okay however, when it rained hard and the water pooled up on the tarping in between the ribs the pvc pipe would shift and then invert. My cover was good and water proof so it turned into a pool liner (yikes)... I made weep holes in my tarp and that helped some. It is a decent low cost solution but it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped it would. I think there is a solution of drilling holes in the pvc and running a stabilizer bar or something to stabilize it from shifting then inverting but I was worn out with it by then plus I am not that crafty. For the price it's okay and it is really a cool idea. I don't use it anymore. Standard Arch Support System for Pontoon Covers
When we purchased this system we were surprised to see that the (Arches) PVC was not included. After contacting the seller and receiving a very quick response, we understood why. We installed the arches today and put our cover on. Before the bad weather hits we will put a larger more substantial cover on. For now, this works great. We will see how it holds up to the winter winds and snow, but it sure looks and feels sturdy enough. Installation was easy and took very little time.
The cost of the unit was more than reasonable including the PVC. We were quite impressed with the results.
I originally saw this item at Brass Pro Shop and it was priced two brackets for $19.99. I found the sysytem available at Amazon for a much better price! The Pontoon Boat Cover "Arch" Support System works very well I would recommend it to anyone with a pontoon but. Alot of covers will hold rain and this arch system eliminates this problem. Great value and very functional.'

Kitchen Radio - kitchen radio, under cabinet radio
I bought this to replace an existing under cabinet CD player (different brand) and am not very happy with it. It has a hollow sound and no controls for bass or treble. Also I thought it had a light like my other one but it doesn't. It is very thin and streamlined and looks good in my kitchen but that's where my positive comments end. Wouldn't recommend this one if you want good sound and adequate controls. GPX Under Cabinet CD Player with AM/FM Stereo Radio (Silver)
Let's face it - this unit is not a Sony. But at $30, it does everything it's supposed to. The cd player, radio, and mp3 input all work fine. Doesn't have a lot of volume but it works well for our kitchen.
Needed CD player for listening to books but the sound is good enough that we are enjoying music as well. It does not turn itself off and it was a job getting the antenna untied but we love it. May never be able to get radio to work. Think we need about 100 ft to get outside our cement house. Time is lighted, a bonus as my new microwave has no battery backup so it vanishes with every power glitch. For the price it is amazing.
I have owned product for a couple of months now and I am happy with it thus far.
Installation instructions are very complete, accurate and easy to follow.
If you are looking for a product that does what it promises for the price, this is what you want.
This has a nice compact design & really does what it is supposed to do- just not very well. Sound quality is not great & radio stations are a bit shakey. It has a nice sized wire antenna, but it didn't seem to work so well for us. We're returning this unit mostly because after a few days of listening to it; we decided we were in the market for a higher quality product. Our old school little boom box has better sound- so we're back to that until we find this same thing- only better. I had anticipated that the sound would not be stellar, given the price- but after a few days, we just couldn't hang in there with this.
My husband took the player right out of the box and followed the instructions to install the unit. From the start, the CD had problems opening and would not play any of our CD's. He called the help hotline and they suggested that he return the product to where he bought it or buy a disc cleaning. The warranty card said not to take defective unit back but to send it to them. It would cost us more money to have the unit shipped back than to keep it. The sound is very boxy and the radio is not digital. It is analog with a digital display. The long wire for the antenna has to be hidden behind other stuff and doesn't pick up radio stations very well. I wouldn't suggest this to anyone. Save your money and buy something else.
Instructions were decent. Installed relatively easily. Sounds ok, you get what you pay for. My girlfriend doesn't care if it is the highest quality sound in the industry, she just wants it in the kitchen. The antenna doesn't pick up stations very well, although I have not run the antenna line out, not sure if I will though it seems to pick up the stations that come in clear on car radio well enough without it.
My husband and I purchased this radio a little over a month ago now and we are happy with the purchase. We had read all these reviews here on Amazon and took them into consideration before purchasing. It is true what most people said, the sound is not that great (it definitely lacks bass) but it doesn't have that airy sound to it either. It is an average sound - nothing special. The radio reception isn't the greatest either. We got in about 60% of the normal radio stations we can pick up in our car. Also, one thing that wasn't mentioned is that you cannot preset any radio stations. They are digital, but are switched with a dial on the side of the radio.
Now to the positives. The best thing about this radio is that fact that you can hook up your mp3 player or in our case, the mp3 players on our phones. We use this feature all the time. It was also easy to install since they give you a template to follow to drill the holes. I personally thinks it looks nice - it isn't an eyesore. It is slim as well.
Granted, this radio does has its downfalls, however the reason I decided to give it 4 stars out of 5 is because it is simple: you get what you pay for. If you are looking for an inexpensive under-the-cabinet radio this one is just fine. If you want awesome sound - obviously this one isn't for you. I would recommend it if you don't want a radio with all the bells and whistles, but something simple to play some music while cooking or eating dinner.
This seemed like the unit I've been wanting with all my required featues. Mounting was pretty easy with the drilling template. Once I got it working, I tested the radio, CD player and MP3 hookup. Everything was great for about 5 minutes and then I started smelling burnt plastic. The CD player crapped out and nothing else worked. I disassembled it so I could save my CD. Components inside are totally low grade. I thought I salvaged it by getting the radio going again but the tuner channels were out of whack. I wish I'd saved my money and gotten a Sony. - Good - Undercabinet Cd-radio - Kitchen Radio - Under Cabinet Radio'

Blackberry Bold 9780 Unlocked
Finally I got my new device and I can tell that it was all that I was expecting. I bought it from Amazon.com store (not another seller) and when the box arrived the first thing that I checked was the model number and it is RCM72UW, which works with 3G bands 850/1900/2100, so this is AT&T, Rogers, Telus model...not T-Mobile model, so this is good news for me 'cause I use Movistar-Venezuela service. Well, to be honest I can not assure that Amazon.com will always be sending this particular model because they don't make any difference about the 3G compatibility and believe me 'cause I expend a lot of mails to customers service and they couldn't give me this detailed info. I took the risks and bought it anyway. Another info displayed on the box: Blackberry Bold 9780 Smartphone, 1256- Americas (Spanish) QWERTY-Black. Model RCM72UW, Made in Mexico. It comes with OS 6.0.0 Bundle 863. NOTE: Surprisingly it came with a 2GB microSD card already installed even when it wasn't published in the product details. Other info found checking in the options: active 3G bands 1, 2, 5 y 6. Searching in the internet I found that this means that it works with 3G bands 2100/1900/850/800. The box content is: 9780 device with plastic label protection on screen, battery cover, upper front (where it's printed "Blackberry"), camera lens and flash, leather pouch (the simple plane one, without belt clip, the leather looks like artificial type), earphones, battery, 5 feet USB cable (longer than the old one I had), standard wall charger with multiple international adapters (I was expecting ipod-like wall charger with female USB input, but it came with the usual one), Desktop software CD, user manual and some quick guides.
BlackBerry BOLD 9780 Unlocked Cell Phone with Full QWERTY Keyboard, 5 MP Camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Music/Video Playback, Bluetooth v2.1, and GPS (Black)
The phone was advertised as brand new when i bought it in early January 2011. To my surprise, I switched it on to find a thread of love text messages from some guy back in Oct 2010 which obviously means it had been used. The phone does look brand new and currently works without any problems. It better stay that way considering how much $$$$ is splashed out for the device!!!!
This cell phone turned off automatically when I was installing it, after that, the red light flashes for a while. Then, it has been dead.
I searched internet and found a lot of 9780 buyer faced this problem. So I contacted the address the seller promised to give support.
When I contact the customer service, They replied two days after I emailed them and the content of their reply was Blackberry's phone numberC nothing else.
Then I called blackberry and it didn't worker, they told me to go to the seller. I went to T-Mobile and they told me this is not their responsibility even if there is a T-Mobile logo on the phone.
Once again I wrote to the seller, describing my situation, and guess what, Surprise!!!Blackberry's phone number!!again!!!
Now I can't text my friend and family because I give my old phone to one of my friends when I get the 9780. I totally disappointed about this whole thing and will never ever by things from this seller again. They sucks!!

Shrink To Fit - levi 501, 501
I bought this belt for the jeans and match the work boots. When the belt came, it was little bit too short than I expected. For this belt (and all Levi's belt), you need 2 size up from your waist size, just to be sure. Levi's Men's Bridle Leather Belt, Brown, 34
nice Levi buckle, initial impression of the leather was thin with passable quality but after using the belt for couples of months its was actually quite lasting. some area of leather surface cracked slightly after sometime. over all the belt worth the money.
belt was made in Guatemala.
My girlfriend bought me this belt for my birthday and guess what? It's FAKE!
On the first day I got this belt I was excited because it's a cool looking belt but as soon as I opened up the belt and looked at it I noticed the belt buckle is attached to the leather only by a thin piece of black plastic. The two parts are completely different and I'm sure the person selling this product got it from China or something and ripping people off. I also read the reviews from other people and it seems like I'm not the only person having this issue.
DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT GO BUY IT FROM RETAIL BECAUSE THIS PERSON IS A CON ARTIST
the belt i ordered after viewing it thoroughly on the internet, but once i got it i repent on my decision to waste 20 box for this useless item, the buckle loop never stays in the belt whole and pops out every other second...... i have to remain focus on it and see when it comes out and when i have to push it back .. a very bad experience .... - Mens - 501 - 514 - Levi 501'

Android Phone
I have been playing around with both phones and because I belong to Sprint for the rest of my life's tenure, I shall let you know that these are the two best phones available in the market but let's compare which is better at what.
Appearance - The Evo 4G does not have a slide-out QWERTY keypad like the Epic. The Epic despite the keyboard is about an ounce lighter in weight and that says a lot about the AMOLED screen and the absolutely flawless design on this phone. The charging port is located on the TOP of the phone and also has a little slide you need to drag open before accessing the MICRO USB/Charger. The phone looks a terrific black (like the best looking iPhone, oh yeah we care, no sarcasm) when the screen is not on. UNLIKE THE EVO, the standby key is on the right hand side of the phone and does the same thing. On first appearance, the design of the Epic is mouth watering. I've always found Sidekick like phones cheesy and even that DROID from VERIZON looks very plastic to me but I shall diss no more, the Epic might just win on this account (but I know plenty of Evo users who would disagree but this is my opinion). Because of size, weight, 4-inch screen (Evo's 4.3), design of the slide out, the Epic wins this round.
Call Reception / Loud Speaker -> While playing music, I noticed the Epic was a little louder than the Evo is but at full volume, it can be a tad too loud too which is obviously such a WELCOME FEATURE. The Evo has a loud speaker alright and also a dedicated home page where you can easily play your music but what matters is the sound because both phones offer excellent customization.
Battery Life - This is one of the primary reasons the Epic is likely to do good. I fume when I hear people say the DROID X has a better battery life than the Evo. On Epic, the AMOLED screen ensures you don't need to charge this phone more than once a day. I managed to make this last for atleast a day but I did find the battery readings to be inaccurate from time to time. Maybe this happened because I was trying the phone on Airplane mode and then switching to CDMA so that could be it. There was a difference in the battery life, sometimes the bar would be short and sometimes substantially longer. Maybe it is just a software update that is required but at the end of the day, You can have all the features on a phone but what matters a lot is battery life and the Epic takes this round too. By getting the Evo you will need to buy an extra battery unless you like carrying your wires everywhere you go. If you're getting the Evo make sure you get an extra battery charger and oh save yourself some money and NEVER INVEST ON EXTENDED BATTERIES. You wouuld think Samsung and HTC are more clever than not to have come out with the extended battery in the first place. Feel free to discuss, throw things at me on the comments column.
Screen Brightness - HTC Evo is about AS BRIGHT AS THE SUN, absolutely incredible brightness, it's like watching the most expensive HDTV sometimes. The phone even on low brightness is surprisingly bright and I always appreciate brightness. While the Epic is not dull, I'll be lying if I say the screen is as bright as the Evo or even comes close to taking this round. The Epic has a jaw dropping display but the brightness and screen quality while you're on a webpage makes Evo the winner here. The brightness may come at the price of battery life but when you drive a HUMMER, you worry not about the battery life but about the drive.
Build Quality of Plastic on the BACK - The Evo certain feels a little more solid and smooth. The back on the EVO is better than the INCREDIBLE. Evo's kickstand is an added feature but the quality of the plastic on the Evo is 15% better than the Epic when you're holding the back though Epic is quite good as it is. **Caution** Do not remove Epic's back size by the SPEAKER, you may damage the phone cause you're such a strong individual, locate a small opening at the end and then LIFT UP the back plastic covering the battery. The back is obviously not RED like the HTC EVO.
Bundled Accessories - Epic comes with a 16gb card, in ear earphones, a thicker BASIC manual I haven't opened and read yet. The Evo comes with an 8gb card and no earphones. They both come with a Micro USb Cord which coverts into a wall charger. I have tried and used almost all earphones bundled with phones and have never seen any Sprint phone with such good quality "in-ear" earphones which provide NOISE CANCELLATION. An excellent extra for the fifty bucks you pay depending on where you're buying the phones from. 16gb is like having 2 x 8gb cards.
Mobile Hotspot - DRAW
Task Killer App - If you hold the home button down on the Epic, an excellent task killer pops up. It is so easy and fun to use that this alone was a big big big deal for me. I've used it on the Evo before but it's just so much hassle free and cleaner on the Samsung, it tells you the percentage of the CPU being used for variety of apps in REAL TIME! Deal-MAKER for me. EVO owners, please correct me if I'm wrong.
CAMERA *BIG DEAL FOR ME* - Epic. Epic. Epic. Epic. The customization is Godly. Samsung is slowly becoming very clever. The camera quality is that of a digital camera, I dare say. Also if people are moving and pause for a second, the phone still takes an absolutely astounding photograph. The Evo makes things yellow and although it's 8megapixel, the camera doesn't quite seal the deal. The other thing is that the Evo doesn't have that many customizations for the camera. Samsung has pulled a magic trick with this one. Some envious Evo users tell me that because the screen looks better on the Epic, the images look better but if I were to upload these to my computer, there'd be a difference. This is my response to people who say something like that. How often will I be uploading these pictures? Maybe once in four days, I will be mostly viewing them on the phone so I don't care about that. Mind you, though I haven't uploaded anything yet, I shall upload them and send you a sample picture if you request one. PLEASE BARE IN MIND, while the SAMSUNG has more options, it will take a real techoholic to want to figure out each and every feature, I'm still getting WARMED up to it.
Google Sync - The google sync on both phones immediately got all my contacts into the phone, there are a ton of applications so if you have a gmail account even with a blackberry, all your contacts are gonna be SYNCED with either the EVO or the EPIC. Google has a very funny deal-sealing way of having the google sync on the BLACKBERRY. If you're dumping your blackberry, make sure you do google sync and sync all your contacts before activating the EPIC. Ask a store rep to do it for you before buying it BLINDLY from them.
BROWSING - Browsing on the Evo is the best browsing I have ever seen. It still wins over the Epic by just a single point. Epic still gets a 9/10 while Evo because of it's multi-touch gets a perfect 10. There is no lag while browsing or using the touchscreen at all. This is a dream come true for people who've ever had the Samsung Instinct from two years ago. These two phones make my Blackberry look so bad and that's one thing to love and admire about Androids, the fact that they have such capable awesomse fast, intelligent browsers. I have no complaints whatsoever. I have an iPod touch and its half as good at best and I'll tell you the iPod touch is amazing. EVO wins by a life because it's the best at it. Epic is still about two and a half times as good as my Sprint BOLD.
On-Screen Typing : On screen typing on the Evo is way better because of HTC's on screen Qwerty. Swype comes built in with the EPIC. I've never used it, I don't believe in it, just looks too cheesy. Evo has a great typing mechanism but EPIC assumes that unless you're typing casually, you will use the physical keyboard to type. The Evo's typing is better than the iPhone's or the iPods. I haven't played with the iPhone 4 yet.
SLIDE OUT / PHYSICAL KEYBOARD : I will go for the Epic over the Evo because it has a wonderful, non-cheesy, idiot proof keyboard slide out. This is the best addition possible besides the camera and the bundled accessries. I despise the Moment's keyboard in comparison though Moment isn't a bad phone. The EVO is supposed to be Sprint and Samsung's replacement for the SAMSUNG MOMENT.
I've been away from my 2 day old Epic. I will discover more things and shall let you know. Any cons? The capacitive keys on the front could've been a touch more responsive. On the Evo they seem more responsive. I'm in no hurry for the Samsung Epic to get 2.2 and I'm sure they won't disappoint.
Wallpapers look brighter, more alive, sleeker, sexier, more sophisticated on the Epic. When you're in your menu on the Evo you go from top to bottom while on the Epic, if you click Applications you go left right right right. So it's horizontal menu browsing on the Epic and vertical on the Evo.
There is so much more for me to discover. I told someone earlier this year that no phone will ever match the iPhone but technology has an astounding way of shocking me. I'm an absolute geek and am glad that the Epic exists. It's like action sequences on the Lord of the Rings : Twin Towers while Evo is like the Matrix chase scenes from Reloaded. Both are feature packed phones but I love to type and the additional keyboard is fantastic for typing.
Wi-Fi Browsing : If both phones were used on the Wifi, the Epic is blazingly fast and obviously an easy hands down winner. I didn't try browsing on both using the 3G signal in Manhattan though it loaded a youtube video and downloaded an mp3 rather fast.
MISCELLANEOUS THINGS: Epic comes with a game, it also a Samsung HUB, it doesn't have an HDMI port but has something called DLNA which enables you to wireless connect the phone with compatible televisions and monitors. The AMOLED screen is Samsung's proprietary format I read somewhere, Samsung will invest $2 Billion in the next year or two for making screen for all touchscreens.
I'm sorry about how random this review might seem but I really wanna go back to playing with the Epic so see you later. My conclusion is obvious from the subject.
**UPDATES**
Samsung Epic has four buttons when you slide out the keyboard. One is for the Home, one is the back key, one is the menu, one is the features Key. These behave just like the FOUR buttons on the front beneath the screen when viewed vertically.
I'm falling in love with the wallpaper options. The HTC Evo has something called scenes and the profile customization is exciting, I wonder how ANDROID 2.2 will look on the EPIC.
Please buy an invisible shield when you buy this phone, I'm looking for an Anti-Glare one for $10. Any suggestions?
I saw a lady with the Samsung Epic today, she had a cheesy black plastic case on her EPIC. POOR CASES can make the Epic look like the Samsung MOMENT (Sorry, Moment owners, no offense, just honesty). I am not going to use any case for this phone, what a waste of a gorgeous phone.
I also thought I should add a note that I have never bothered investing in a SAMSUNG phone for myself but the EPIC really made it an easy decision. The Galaxy S series is remarkable. I live in New York and get no 4G but I do get unlimited data downloads, video calling and that's all. I don't mind the $10 extra fee but it may hurt the price conscious user but SPRINT is still a better deal than the other carriers so don't OVER THINK it.
**11/01/2010 Update**
4G has been launched in NEW YORK and I can download a 3mb song from gmail in 13 seconds.
Shazam takes a second to tell you the name of the song that's playing.
Does consume a lot of battery though.
UPDATE 05/06/2011 - To people who are thinking about getting the Epic, there is soon going to be a new 4G phone so please RE-CONSIDER because there is the NEXUS S out. It doesn't have a keyboard mind you and yes it is based on Sprint's WIMAX 4G. Samsung Epic 4G Android Phone (Sprint)'

Outdoor Gear - outdoor gear, bow saw
For a period of twenty years or so starting in about 1950, bow saws based on a design by the Sandvik Company in Sweden were used for serious work in forestry and arboriculture. They were lighter and easier to use than crosscut saws, but were much cheaper than gasoline powered chain saws, which had not quite permeated the market to the extent that they did later on. Unfortunately for those of us who still use bow saws for serious work, they are no longer made as well as they once were. Today's bow saws are almost all made by contract with companies in Asia and marketed for very light use.
Nonetheless, in the midst of this sad situation, the Fiskars stands out as one saw that is reasonably good. It is lightweight, has excellent balance, feels right in the hand, and the the blade stays taught in spite of regular use.
By comparison, the Corona 30 inch saw is strong but feels a little heavy. The Bahco and Gilmour versions of the 30 inch saw are lightweight and well balanced, but the tensioning handles are loose. The cheap plastic hand guard on the Bahco saw I own actually fell off the first time I used it and I have had to wrap the saw with tape to keep the handle tight. The saw selling for five dollars available from Northern Tool and Equipment Company is so poorly made it is appalling.
I have used the Fiskars 30 inch bow saw in trailwork and around the home, felling, bucking and limbing trees up to 10 inches in diameter quite easily. It cuts well in both green and dry wood with a Bahco No. 51 blade (all cutting teeth, no rakers), and it is small enough to get into tight places, which is often needed when clearing blowdowns or when limbing large trees. To cut trees in the 10 inch size range, one must, of course, cut from two directions. With a little practice, one can master the art of getting both cuts to meet so that the log is cut through cleanly, almost as if it was done from one direction only.
I have purchased and tested additional bow saws made in Italy and Germany. One of these was quite good but apparently not available in the United States. I have also purchased the Bahco heavy-duty 30 inch bow saw, called the "Force" model. This saw is excellent and should not be confused with the more common Bahco saw with the removable plastic hand guard. The Force saw is heavier and more ruggedly built than either the common Bahco saw or the Fiskars model, and it cuts logs up to 12 inches in diameter. The strong plastic hand guard is part of the saw frame and there is no handle that opens and closes to apply tension to the saw blade. Instead, a screw-type tensioning mechanism, similar to those first used on Sandvik bow saws 60 years ago, is used to insert or remove blades and to keep them taught. This method of tensioning the blade is much easier and keeps the blade tighter than in most of today's models. Because the Force saw is heavier, I would still recommend the Fiskars model for most homeowners, but for demanding applications, such as trailwork and forestry, I would recommend the Bachco 30 inch Force saw instead. Fiskars 7031 30-Inch Bow Saw
The picture and description doesn't do this saw justice. I was leery buying another 30 in bow saw because the ones I've had over 21" are flimsy and easily bent. The Fiskar 30" Saw is not round but rather oval (making the bends very strong), heavy aluminum but yet light weight. It feels like a high quality durable saw in your hands. It's very unlikely this one will be damaged with normal use or by accidentally dropping a log on. If there was one thing that I would change it would be a better grip (larger) that fits my hand better. But it is comfortable enough to saw all day. I chose this saw because it cost was twice as much as the others on Amazon and the one's that are available locally. I relied on the theory that you get what you pay for, and for once I was right. I'd recommend this saw to anyone and am planning on replacing my 21" bow saw with the Fiskar 21" with the confidence it be made with the same quality.
I'm not sure why the other reviewers have glowing things to say about this saw. The frame is rigid as mentioned. There is NO tensioning mechanism for the blade. The blade tangs are made of what looks like aluminum and are barely adequate to hold the blade in place. The blade itself cuts VERY poorly, so poorly I was wondering if I got a manufacturing defect. If you have a few extra hours to kill, then by all means use this saw to cut a branch or two! The whole point of a bow saw is portability and quick sawing action. This one fails utterly.
I purchased this saw in June of 2008. It was manufactured in China.
I've used this product a number of times now and have found the Fiskars 30-Inch Bow Saw #70316935A to be an excellent choice for cutting tree limbs and trunks of considerable widths. The 30-Inch Saw Blade is lengthy, sharp, and flexible for all the applicable and demanding tasks. The Bow Saw Frame and integrated Handle are both strong and sturdy. However, for my particular "Grasp", the Handle could be a little more "accomodating" - nevertheless, that's not to say that the Bow Saw Handle isn't any less sufficient or adequate. Overall, though, this is a terrific tool for its intended purposes. (I also purchased the Friskars 30-Inch Replacement Saw Blade #70276935 at the same time as the Fiskars 30-Inch Bow Saw.)
bought this saw hoping to cut some fallen trees into firewood. there was plenty of timber on the ground thanks to an ice storm two years ago.
this saw is very sharp and will cut though a good sized log as long as you don't have anything to do for a few hours.
will be investing in a chainsaw for the heavy cutting , but happy with this saw for cutting branches and small trees.
This thing is about as simple as it can get with a heck of a sharp pointy-toothed blade on it. It's got a tubular frame and is good and strong. If you've got the muscles, it's got the blade to saw thorough pretty much anything. I was using it to remove a volunteer palm tree which has gotten a little too exuberant for the space I have for it. So far the palm tree is winning, but this tool works infinitely better than any other hand saw I own. And it was CHEAP, less than the cost of a pound of decent coffee! - Outdoor Gear - Saws - Bow Saw - Hand Saw'

Handheld - nintendo dsi, handheld
Firstly I'd like to say I'm a 43 year old mom. I got into gaming several years ago and my kids and I have a lot of fun with the Nintendo DS. We have had the original DS, DS Lites, DSi's, and now the DSi XL. I got an XL for myself. My son has many GBA games so he doesn't want one (because the DSi XL cannot play any GBA - Gameboy Advance- games) and my daughter thought it was too big to be portable. She likes something that fits easily into a backpack or jacket pocket. Although I think the XL could I'd probably agree if you are going for portability then the regular DSi should do you just fine. The reason I chose the XL is because I play primarily at home and I play a lot of puzzle games. Someimes these types of games are hard to see, especially the seek and find. I'm hoping this larger sized one helps that.
Even though I knew it was larger it is LARGER than I thought. That's a good thing because it is almost more like a PDA or something as far as size. Nice and substantial. It is also heavier than I anticipated. This is the only thing I'm a little concerned with as I like to play laying in bed at night and sometimes I'll play for a couple of hours. I would not want my hand getting extra tired holding the unit up. Additionally it is not as easy to hold this one handed and put the stylus in the other. It might be a fine line but it doesn't quite feel as comfortable as the DSi in that regard. It feels similar to how the PSP would feel if you held it one handed. Slightly off balance. Edited to Add: Played for 2 hours last night. Although it took a while I did find a comfortable position to hold the XL. It is not as comfortable for extended periods as the regular DSi but it did not get too heavy and my arms did not get sore. I'm quite relieved!
The top part actually has an audible click when you open up the unit. The DSi did not have this click although one of our DS Lite units did. The regular DSi opened smoothly without any catches--this one does not. There is definitely a click. The hinge looks strong enough. We lost one DS Lite to the hinge crack issue so I'm glad to see these hinges look sturdy. The other thing regarding the hinges is that the top piece moves a little when you move the unit. It is not super floppy but it does move when the unit does. I tested it against the DSi and the DS Lite and it took more effort to make those cover or top pieces move. It may be the weight itself which causes this. I will be keeping an eye on my hinges though just to be sure.
It connected right up to my internet with no problems. I went into the DSi shop and I didn't notice any difference between the XL and my regular DSi. Flawless. I must say, though, that I HATE that I could not take my DSi games with me to this upgrade (Nintendo is so far behind the ball on this and it is one of few complaints I have of Nintendo). Lame Nintendo. Seriously lame!
I got the bronze. It has a nearly black top and the inside is black. The bronze is only on the bottom and sides and it is definitely bronze. From the pictures online it looks more chocolate brown but it is not. I wavered back and forth with this and burgundy. I have not seen the burgundy out of the box but suspect it looks gorgeous. The glossy top looks like an overcoat similar to what is put on cars and trucks. Not like how the DS Lite covers were (although in two tone color this one is nearly exactly the same as the DS Lite Crimson or Blue with the colors in the same places and black in the same places except for the top because this one has the bronze color around the edges and the DS Lite's had the crimson or blue).
It does not feel "matte" on the bottom. It has a slightly grainy feel--not sure how to describe it. Kind of like how the non shiny cover of my printer feels. I remember when I got the DSi it almost seemed grainy and powdery. Not so with the XL.
Overall I'm very happy with the color-its classy!
Screen: This was my big worry. So far those worries are fairly groundless. I've tested out several types of games and in most apsects it is absolutely as good as the regular DSi. For the most part I get no pixelation or stretching and I definitely haven't noticed any ghosting or lines. While I was playing Bejeweled Twist I did notice that the gems were not as crisp as they are on the regular DSi. For me it was noticable but not bothersome. They were not blurry just a little more fuzzy than normal.
Edited to Add: I've tried several additional games and haven't noticed any issues except on games like Lunar Knights which already had a more pixelated look even on my DS Lite and regular DSi. Just slightly more noticable here but again not enough to impact. If I wasn't such a video game addict I likely wouldn't notice but I play every day.
My original DSi had several problems (Nintendo sent me a replacement)-this one has none of them. The battery cover does not "cave" in like my DSi and the insert window around the touch screen is solid--no light shows through. This XL feels as if it is a much higher quality console.
I've played with the regular stylus and the bigger pen type stylus. Either is fine but I prefer the regular stylus. The pen stylus might be good for someone who likes to hold the stylus like a pen but it is not a make or break for me.
The other functions (camera and the settings) worked well. No problems encountered. The charger looks to be the same as the regular DSi and this unit fits fine in my G Pak organizer. Edited to Add: Sound--it is actually slightly better sounding than the regular DSi. It feels as if it almost has a deeper sound. More like surround type sound. Also if you have a regular DSi there is a point when you are adjusting sound where it goes from quieter to regular and almost seems like it skips a step. The XL does not do this -- the sound progression is very good. I put in my Dragon Quest V as the music is very majestic and it felt more like it was enveloping me in the sound than a regular DSi (tested it with my daughters).
Overall I'm very happy and will update with the weight issue if it becomes a problem. Other than that I'm excited to go play my games and see them on the big screen! Nintendo DSi XL Bronze - Portable Game System - Dsi - Handheld - Nintendo Dsi'

Inflatable Boats - boat, kayak
For those that don't have the space or the budget for a nice fiberglass kayak, the Advanced Elements is the next best thing. I purchased this early this year for my wife (having purchased the Expidition model for myself) and I have had the opportunity to use it a few times this season. I continue to think it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's easy to store, easy to set up, handles well, performs well, and is very comfortable. All around a great recreational kayak.
Setup is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. This model has 7 chambers to fill, which sounds like a lot but it's really not. There are two main chambers which get filled up first, and then the floor and the deck lift chambers, and finally the combing for the skirt. The two first chambers take the longest - maybe 10 minutes total using the bi-directional hand pump. The rest can be filled in under 5 minutes, making the total time for inflation about 15 minutes.
Construction of the AF Expedition is excellent. All materials are sturdy, and the coating on the bottom (the gray part) seems to be tough enough for years of use. The top part of the construction (the red part) is a thick nylon that is not waterproof but which provides some protection from the elements. I would recommend using a waterproofing spray on the top part to ensure that there is minimal water absorption, since this makes drying it out before storage a lot easier. The material on this model is particularly nice - it has a sort of sheen and a subtle pattern to it that is very cool. Wish I had it on my Expidition, actually, but I think that might be a difference between last year's model and this.
Once inflated the AF is very sturdy and firm. It does not flex at all, and feels much like a hardshell kayak. In the water it is very stable, a product no doubt of its relatively wide stance (32 inches). The byproduct of that wide stance is that in the water it is a bit slower than a top-notch hardshell kayak (that generally run about 26 inches wide). It tracks well and is actually pretty fast -- my wife hasn't had any trouble keeping up with other recreational kayaks. Because the shape is rigid (reinforced with the aluminum bits in the front and back) it cuts through the water easily.
Paddling is comfortable so long as you use the right length of paddle; we use a 220cm and it seems to be the perfect size. I tried using a shorter paddle at one point and fount that it was not as comfortable and often found myself brushing the sides of the kayak with my knuckles. But with a longer paddle that's not a problem and paddling is a breeze.
The interior of the kayak is largely taken up by the inflatable chambers. There's a little room behind the cockpit to store things, but really not more than what you might take on a day trip. People looking for more storage should get a deck bag.
Deflating and storing is very easy to - the whole thing breaks down in about 10 minutes and is back in the case and ready for transport. This model stores in a bag about the size of a medium sized suitcase, and weighs about 30 pounds, which makes it quite easy to carry. The fact that it stores so easily is obviously the best "feature" of this inflatable kayak - it can be easily transported in the trunk of a car or even on a plane, and can be stored in a closet of an apartment. Being able to transport it for weekend trips without worrying about lashing it to the top of the car or having to go get it out of a slip somewhere just makes kayaking that much easier to do on a whim.
As for whether or not to buy this one or the larger AdvancedFrame Expedition model, I own both so I have some insight. I bought the smaller one for my wife after I had tested the Expedition model. The smaller one is even easier to inflate (since it has fewer chambers) and is lighter and smaller to store. But the trade-off is a smaller cockpit with less storage space. For me, at 6' 175lbs, the Expedition model seems just right or a little large. For my wife, the smaller one is a perfect fit. I think a person of my size might feel somewhat cramped in the 10' model, as she described it as comfortably snug. So if you're under 5'10" the smaller 10' model might be just fine, but larger folks should consider the Expedition.
Overall this kayak is a great purchase for someone looking for a first kayak to take on casual trips, or for a second kayak for those who might want to travel where they can't take their hardshell. Performance is on par with other hardshell recreational kayaks, but without the hassle of storage or transport. Highly recommended. Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Inflatable Kayak
We've been doing hardshell sit ins and sit upon kayaking, both touring and in the ocean for years. This year we thought it would be fun during a visit to Venice, Italy to kayak the canals and participate in the Vogalonga. After extensive internet research, it didn't appear that there were any kayak rentals easily available in Venice. A little more research and we stumbled on Advanced Elements 10 foot inflatable as a good possibility to take with us to Italy.
We've now tried it out locally touring on flat water 4 times and my wife wants to throw out all of our other kayaks. Warning, the first inflation takes about 20 minutes with the manual; after that it takes about 5 minutes. Fully inflated it tracks pretty well and can keep up a good touring pace with hardshell sit ins. It's comfortable to sit in; my wife keeps on asking if it's OK to inflate it and put it in the water just to nap in.
The take down is simple, quick and the reverse of inflations. We wipe it down with one of those super absorbant camp towels before stowing it in the carrying bag. Then off it goes into the back of the SUV and laughs at us while we spend the next 45 minutes hoisting and securing the remaining kayaks on top of the truck.
I would definitely recommend it as a well designed and constructed inflatable. It's not a pool toy. Let you know how it likes the Italian food. - Boat - Inflatable Kayak - Af - Kayak'
