3rd Generation - e-book cases, kindle covers
Excellent product! This case is just right, in my opinion. It's not too complex, but it's not too simplistic either. It looks nice, feels great, and seems to be very high quality.
Because it has just the right combination of rigidness and cushioning, I have no worries at all when/if my Kindle is dropped from an average height while inside this case. It also stays sealed well when closed, so a Kindle would be protected from a spilled or splashed liquid.
The interior leaves room for customisation. For example: It seems designed to hold cards, a pen, and other business materials(Which it does just fine). However, I use it to hold a lens cleaning cloth, Kindle related information, and a small USB cord in the pen slot. For the Kindle side, it holds a 3rd generation Kindle securely with either all four corner straps, or just two alternate corner straps.
It hasn't passed the test of time yet, but I'm not worried. All factors considered, this is a great price. I would say that this is a much better investment than the two year warranty(which is double the price). Thanks for a great case, TrendyDigital. TrendyDigital Folio Case for Kindle 3 (Third Generation Kindle, Kindle Wi-Fi, or Kindle 3G + Wi-Fi , 6" Display), Black
Pros:
Elastic strap fastening system - I prefer that to cases that uses the kindle slots because the kindle case can crack if a slot-type is picked up or dropped the wrong way.
Holds device securely
Multiple storage compartments plus pen holder - it's a tight fit but the charger can be packed in this case with the zipper closed
Lightweight
Attractive (fake leather)
Easy access to all switches and sockets
Quality zipper closure
Does not interfere with wireless reception
Cons:
Average protection - case has 3 layers: vinyl exterior, cardboard middle, and cloth interior. All 3 layers are very thin, but that's what keeps the case so light. It comes with a foam insert. I saved mine in the event I ever have to pack my kindle, such as when I sell it when kindle 4 comes out. :D This case should protect your kindle from the most common trauma; droppage.
Price - the SimpleCase for Kindle 2 - Fits 6" Display of 2nd Generation, (See Separate Listing for New 3rd Generation Kindle) is very comparable. It has a leather exterior, thicker cloth interior, and thicker cardboard between the layers. I paid $24.99 for that case and $25 for this one. This case seems flimsy in comparison. I expect this case to sell for under $20 when there are more competing products.
Durability - it's impossible to say, but judging by the materials used I do not expect this case to hold up more than a couple years for heavy users
Summary: this is the only case for kindle 3 of its type that I could find so I bought it. I'm not a leatherphile. Vinyl is fine. Leather dyes can bleed and stain which has been a problem with some leather cases. Plush interiors tend to bleed too. I like this case because it's so lightweight. My primary reason for using a case is to make the kindle easier to hold. This case can be used open like a hardcover book, or folded over like a cheap paperback. If you're looking for a leather cover with a plush interior, this case isn't for you. I like this case.
UPDATED 4-13-11: I replaced this case with the Eco-nique natural Hemp Brown case cover for Amazon Kindle 3 / Global Wireless 6 inch / 15 cm (latest generation) - (Book Style) this week. There were several issues with this case:
1) The zippers get in the way of the forward/back buttons
2) It's awkward to use folded back. The zippers become more of an obstruction, and the case becomes difficult to fold back into closed position.
3) I dropped my kindle from the bed and it slipped completely out of this case. Fortunately the floor is carpeted and there was no damage.
The first 2 issues became increasingly annoying after months of use. The 3rd issue convinced me I needed a better case. I'll probably only use this case now for traveling when I want everything zipped in an enclosed cased.
I don't know what some of the other reviewers were talking about. This is a nice case/cover. The elastic is a little wide on the bottom, but it doesn't effect anything. It does what it's supposed to do...it holds the Kindle in a protective cover and keeps it from being damaged while in a purse or bag. It's one of two cases that I know of that zip shut... Also, I haven't had a problem bending it back to read like a paperback and I think the wallet side of the case has been improved upon, since it seems a little nicer than the one in the video:
[...]
It IS a little overpriced though, I think it should be about 5.00 - 10.00 cheaper. But ehhh, they're ALL too expensive for what they are...they're essentially fancy BOOK COVERS. :/
A very nice case for the price. It has adequate protection and holds the Kindle securily without obstruction. The only negative for me is that you cannot fold the front of the cover back which is how I like to read.
I bought this at the same time I bought my Kindle 3, but after one day's use, it was returned.
On the positive side:
1. The elastic straps which hold the Kindle in place are snug, and would do that job very well.
2. If a person were inclined to carry a pen/pencil, credit cards and I.D., plus folding currency, there are slots/tabs that will do that efficiently. I would be concerned, however, about having anything which could scratch the screen of the Kindle.
Negative:
1. There is little space between the edge of the Kindle and the zipper. I found it very uncomfortable to have the zipper rubbing against my hand as I held the case with the Kindle, as in reading a book.
2. This small space between the bottom edge of the Kindle and the zipper makes it difficult to a) refresh/awaken the Kindle, or to insert the cable to either charge or download data to the Kindle.
3. The zipper is difficult to zip closed.
These are small annoyances to be sure, but they were big enough to me that they quickly became elephant-sized aggravations. I want the Kindle protected, but I also want to be comfortable when I use the Kindle. I will seek, and find, a better case to protect my investment. - Kindle 3 - Kindle - Kindle Covers - E-book Cases'

Yoga Accessories
I recently read about this product in a magazine, and ordered it since I liked the idea of using a product to clean my yoga mat that was designed specifically for that purpose. The 8-ounce size is a really large bottle, and just a few sprays on each side of my mat and some wipes with a paper towel leave it smelling and looking fresh and clean. I can easily see this bottle lasting at least eight or nine months, even if I use this a few times a week.
I also ordered this in the "Soothing Citrus" scent, and was surprised that it didn't really smell like citrus at all. The list of ingredients should have warned me that the bergamot, frankincense, and patchouli oils would not give this a citrus-y scent, and those three smells were definitely the dominant ones. If you're sensitive to strong smells like I am, however, you should find that the smell dissipates really quickly after you spray it on and wipe it off. I didn't notice the smell at all after about a minute.
Overall, great product!
UPDATED ON 10/5/10: Just wanted to add that I've been using this to clean my exercise equipment (spin bike, boxing bag, etc.), and it works great for that purpose, too! Manduka Mat Renew Yoga Mat Spray, 8-Ounce Bottle (Energizing Gingergrass)
I am in love with my Manduka mat! It is durable, sticky, reliable, and just works! I wanted to invest in a cleaning product and this one is made for the mat. I have enjoyed using it and while a bit expensive, it is good to know I am taking care of my Manduka....If you don't want to buy this exact brand, I am sure you can find comparable brands for cleaning your mat, which is the most important thing!!
I bought this when purchasing the Manduka mat. I have used it a few times to help get the 'slick' feeling off the new mat, as well as to clean it. It dries quickly, doesn't leave a residue, and has a great smell!
I practice Power Yoga that causes so much sweating during the class that mat towel is requirement to avoid slippage. Even with mat towel, mat cleansing after practice is definitely recommended. When I started purchasing towels Manduka was one of the brands I stuck with. Soon enough, I wanted to treat my yoga mat(s) with good cleaning solution, so when I came across Manduka brand yoga mat cleanser, I could not pass it on. Great news is that Manduka stands by its brand reputation. I bought cleanser with lemongrass smell and it cleans my mat wonderfully while leaving a pleasant fragrance that lasts. I am sure I have found the right brand of cleanser for my yoga mats (I definitely have more than one!). Seller shipped product quickly.
I bought this product as upkeep for my Manduka Pro. It leaves a very light fragrance on the mat - barely noticeable, really. It cleans well after a typical Anusara class. I practice in the park once a week, and I just clean my mat in the shower afterward. I'm not sure why they would market this as a mat "renew(er)." The thing I dislike about the Pro is the slick surface when it's new. Don't worry, this spray does NOT renew the Pro's slick surface.
I use this spray each time I finish up my fitness work, whether I've done yoga, plyometrics, etc.
I spray this on, wipe it down, and let it dry with the mat flat for about a half hour [I have an exercise room at home, so I have this luxury] and then roll my mat up and store it.
This spray imparts a nice, clean fragrance and helps to clean my mat, so it is ready for the next session.
This spray works great on my manduka mat. Pleasant scent, but very faint and doesn't last, which is a plus for me. Spray on and wipe off, easy, not messy. I would highly recommend this spray mat cleaner.'

Dual XR4110 Mechless Digital Media Receiver
Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the variety of impressions in previous reviews, but figured it was worth $40 to take a chance.
PROS:
- Better than expected AM/FM tuner with 18 FM and 12 AM presets. Range is better than the premium stereo in our Chrysler Town & County. No memory loss with this unit.
- All 3 digital inputs worked on first attempt and volume level was even with the radio tuner. That's good as there is no way to adjust it.
- I input internet radio from my Moto Droid thru the Aux input. It works great! If you are a Pandora user this is the way to go!
- Sound is decent. If you need booming bass, you already have an external amp and sub, right? Hook it up!
- My car has a separate clock, so I don't miss that.
CONS:
- My only real complaint is that the display doesn't dim with the lights. Anybody got a left-over scrap of light grey window tint?
I'm a retired USN ET & CATV Engineer who started as a teenage hillbilly car stereo installer. A good 8-track in those days put out a whopping 14 watts!
My experience tells me that even a simple unit like this can sound fantastic with good speakers. Maybe replacing old, worn-out speakers with quality new ones of the proper wattage would satisfy those who aren't impressed with the sound.
If you're an audiofile who lives in the vehicle, what are you looking at something like this for anyway? Dual XR4110 AM/FM USB/SD/3.5-mm Mechless Receiver (Gray)
Simple little device that is very flexible. The radio reception AM and FM is good both in the city and on the highway. Music from the SD card is the easiest way to use the "mech less" device. Be aware that the unit is limited to 16gb, not a real limitation with the SD card but I have an older generation ipod that is 20gb and it will not play through the USB port. However, I can use the auxiliary port with the ipod just fine. The built-in amplifier is not terribly powerful but does put out some good sound in my 1988 VW Vanagon which has a big interior space. I need to turn up the volume control almost all the way if I want it to play loudly. But there are jacks on the unit to connect an external amplifier. Hey, what can you expect for $40. All in all, I am quite satisfied and think that you get a lot of basic features for a cheap price. We shall see how it's long term durability is in a few years but I assume since it's all electronic (hence the term mech less)that there's not much that can go wrong from a wear standpoint. I would highly recommend this unit as a strong value and candidate to replace/upgrade any stock unit in your car.
This is the second xr4110 I have tried (after awaiting a three week return/delivery). The unit sometimes loses the memory during starting of the vehicle. I have read this is a problem for this unit and wish someone had warned me. It is obviously something Dual wants to sweep under the rug, because they do not act suprised when you call with this complaint. They just say to return it, no questions about wiring or anything.
It is a cheap unit, so I guess you get what you pay for.:(
I bought 2 of these radios in the past couple of months and I am really impressed with the quality considering the price. I had never purchased any other products by Dual in the past so I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. Because of the low price and overall favorable reviews I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.
I would like to address some of the issues I have read in other reviews and add my two cents. First of all, many have complained about the low output of this unit. It is a 60 Watt output which means 15 watts per channel. Not a lot but not exactly weak either. I think some may have interpreted this as 60 Watts per channel so that would account for the disappointment. I never had a problem with the output from my OEM Radio and I was just looking for something with more input options, so in my case the 60 Watts was more than enough. If you want this thing to crank out power you WILL need an amp, but for a good sounding radio playing at a modest volume this unit is great.
I had also heard some issues about a clicking sound when using this radio. The sound from my 2 units are crystal clear and the only time I get any clicking or distortion is when I use the Aux or USB input while my portable device is charging from the cigarette lighter. This creates a ground loop problem and Is perfectly normal because cars have a chassis ground (tires prevent the car from being truly grounded). IF you want to prevent this problem you can get a filter to prevent it. Personally, I do this so infrequently that the filter is not worth the investment for me but it is fixable.
I have seen many reviews saying that this unit does not have a shuffle option so it plays all the songs in the order they are saved in your portable device or media. I am not sure where the problem is here. My unit has a Random setting (the actual button is labeled RDM and is the same as the #2 preset button) and it shuffles up the songs just fine on my install.
I think the biggest complaint I share with others that have reviewed this product is the lack of a clock and the bright LCD display. I don't really care about the clock because I usually use the clock on my GPS as it is very accurate so for me not having a clock is actually an advantage because It's one less clock to reset for daylight savings time, but for others who need the clock I can certainly understand the inconvenience. Not having a Dimmer control is annoying because while driving at night, the blue display can be distracting in your peripheral vision. Particularly in my wife's Pontiac Vibe where the radio is mounted high in the dash close to the windshield. The blue is also kind of annoying because many radios allow you to change the LCD color to match the rest of the lights in the car. It looks kind of weird in my Pontiac Grand Prix because all the lights in the car are red and then the radio is blue. I won't gripe too much about this because of the low cost of this radio. It's to be expected that some of your higher end features will not be available. A clock is not a high end feature though and when I found out there was no clock I could only ask "what were they thinking"?
I think the most valuable asset of this radio is its compact size. It is about 2 inches shorter in depth than the average radio. This was a big advantage for me because my vehicle is equipped with OnStar. OnStar Vehicles run the OnStar audio for phone and voice commands along with other safety features like the door chime through the OEM Radio. If you install an aftermarket radio in an OnStar vehicle you need to also install a wire harness with an OnStar control module to replace the one you throw away when you discard your OEM radio. This module takes up a bit of space during install so every inch of space helps. This unit leaves plenty of space for the additional cable harness and OnStar module so if you have OnStar this may be a valuable advantage to you.
Another advantage is that this unit actually does a decent job of playing my Sony Walkman from the USB port. I have never really cared for iPods but I have owned one for years simply because accessories for iPods are everywhere. I have recently parted with the iPod in favor of a Sony Walkman. I purchased this Dual radio primarily for the Aux port but when I tested the USB port with the Walkman I found that it works very well and gives me better audio then the Aux port. It lists the library by assigning numbers to the folders so you don't get song titles or artist or anything like that but if you are just looking to be able to play songs random with the ability to skip or change folders from the radio dial, it's great. If you want all the song information or more advanced browsing, you can still use the Aux port and control playback from your portable device.
My biggest complaint about the unit is a relatively minor one. The AM/FM input is very loud compared to the other inputs. This unit has four inputs Antenna, SD, USB, and AUX and they all are slightly different in volume. The problem is not that I can't get my music loud enough. Even using the Aux input which tends to be the lowest volume input of the 4, I can get the radio plenty loud. The Problem is when listening to The Aux input, for example, and then switching to FM...You are likely to find yourself quickly grabbing at the volume knob to lower the volume. I have gotten used to this now and always turn the volume down before switching inputs then adjust it back up as necessary. A minor inconvenience but with the other problems I mentioned it is enough to keep this from being rated 5Stars in my opinion.
Pros:
*It will play my walkman through the USB port (better sound than using the Aux port)
*Price vs. performance is fantastic
*Since there is no CD drive radio is very small making install a snap.
*I can charge other devices from the USB port while listening to one of the other inputs.
Cons:
*No dimmer control for LCD display
*No Clock
*Big difference in volume between Aux, SD/USB, and AM/FM sources. - Usb Car Stereo - Sd - Ipod Ready - Mp3'

Microwave Egg Cooker - microwave, egg
Good micro poacher.
Pros: Works great
Cons: none so far
Be sure to poke the yokes and whites with a fork before cooking to keep the explosions to a minimum. ;-)
Also add half a teaspoon of water under and on top of eggs before cooking.
30 seconds per egg on med-high (7 out of 10 setting) Adjust time + or - 10 sec for desired yokeage liquidity. ;-) Ya know what i'm talkin' bout. Progressive International Microwavable Four Egg Poacher
...We also use this to cook eggs quickly, for egg salads. Just let the time extend
on the cooking, until the whole egg is hard, then slice or chop for the salad. Poacher easily cleans, with no sticking, and NO TEFLON! A great value--I bought one for my sister, also
I thought this was a really great egg poacher. It promised to be stick-free, and it was true! I have never had to grease the poacher, add butter, or anything to prevent sticking. The product comes with very simple instructions to create your perfect egg. I usually only make one egg at a time, but it is handy even for one egg. I would definitely buy this again.
I bought this device also based on the other reviews. The best way (at least allowed from a culinary point if view is obviously the traditional way that involves turning boiling water) is not the most easy, and that is where this device come to play: it is dead easy to use.
The result looks a 7 out of 10, however it tastes a 9 out of 10. And it takes no time; some water in the bowls, break and hop in the eggs, a bit of water on the top, and 60 sec per egg added, a short wait, and there you are!
I wish there is such a device to roast a turkey!!
The Progressive Microwavable egg poacher is much quicker at poaching eggs than the traditional method but it does have it's drawbacks. Plan on a portion of the egg being under cooked and a portion almost hard boiled. Also no matter how many holes you punch in the raw egg there will be some small explosions in the microwave. Still it is usable and the poached egg tastes good. I will continue using it.
What is good about this product is that it's easy to clean & it ruins the eggs quickly. I had a Salton electric egg poacher that lived a long, wonderful life, cooking perfect eggs every time. I've gone through 18 eggs, 2 at a time, following the instructions exactly, next, trying a litte more/less water, little/more cooking time, little more/less power level. Nothing works. If 1 egg is close to edible, the other isn't. I'm going to buy an Egg Genie now.
I used to have a 2 cup microwave egg poacher and I loved it, but eventually lost it during a move. Rather than eat fast food egg and English muffin sandwiches I wanted to make my own (more economical) so I thought I would try this out.
I purchased two of them (one for home and one for work). Every time I have used it it has produced perfect poached eggs.
Two things to remember:
1) Poke the egg whites and yolk a lot or they will explode under the cover.
2) Use the time that the instructions say - they really do cook in a minute. It's easy to over/under cook if you prefer one or the other.
I highly recommend this poacher for those of us who like poached eggs but don't want to go through the hassle of making them in a pan of water and vinegar.
I have tried this product many times and have not been able to perfect the poached egg as per instructions. I have either made the egg too hard or too loose. The time they say is not accurate. All I get is hard boiled egg. Ive tried it with less mins. and it was too loose. Cant get the correct time to produce the microwave poached egg.
Easy way to get some protein in my kids in the morning -- a minute in the microwave and they're done. I can't scramble that fast! Easier to clean than the two-egg version I had before, but clean it right away! - Egg - Microwave - Cooking Gadgets - Egg Poachers'

Fish
This is the definitve work on fly fishing for Srtiped Bass. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has a passion for saltwater fly fishing. It is the height of the Fall rush here in the Northeast and Tabory's advice has already proven itself to be worth every penny. Before you go out to read the water....read this book...you will never look at the ocean the same way again. Tabory brings forth insights that will help you get into fish whether you are a beginner or an experienced fly fisherman.Read..Learn...GO PRODUCE! GOOD FISHING! Stripers on the Fly
The book seems to be a rehash of other books and articals that have been published in the past ie; the section on waves on sandy beaches is just a rehash of Ken Abrams 1994 artical published in the Nov-Dec Flyfishing Mag. and alot of the rest of the book sounds like it came from Ken Abrams book Striper Moon that I just finished a few weeks ago. I think that book was out a few years ago.I was really expecting to get some new and Original Ideas and insight from someone who has been around for a while, not the reshuffling of someone elses' ideas and thoughts.
I've been an avid fisherman all my life in Cape waters and was recently given the book by my wife along with an Orvis 2-day course taught by the author. Never having fly-fished, I finished reading the book prior to the class and found it well written and easy to follow for all levels of fishermen. The book is descriptive and detailed enough to send you out to the water prepared and reads very easily. I've also found it to be a great reference to go back to. Terrific summer read for all who dream of landing stripers.
I really expected a LOT more information about specifically targeting this species on the Northeast coast. What I got was a minor expansion of Inshore Fly Fishing. I was hoping for insights such as "how to mimic illegal baitfishing techinques that utilize undersized lobsters, flounders and blackfish".'

Adjustable Ankle Weights - adjustable ankle weights, wrist weights
I used to have ankle weights with iron bars in them, the iron bars hurt my ankles and so when they wore out I got Valeo Adjustable Ankle/Wrist Weights, 20 lb. Combined Weight, Pair.
They wore out in 14 months.
I just got these weights, so it's an initial impression, but:
1. Easier to put on and take off with a single buckle instead of the dual D-rings of the Valeo weights.
2. Coarser nylon material than the Valeo weights. Hope it will last longer. The extra friction helps prevent sliding, though not quite as comfortable against the skin. (Not slipping much more important than the feel against the skin, I think.
3. For whatever reason, the Valeo weights pressed against my malleoli (bumps on the inside and outside of the ankle) and after an hour or two the pressure there was quite uncomfortable. I'm not getting that with these weights. Altus Athletic 20-Pound Standard Ankle / Wrist Weights
These weights work well for leg extensions and other stationary exercises, but they would not stay put well enough for walking or running. I like the fact that they are adjustable up to 10 lb per weight.
First let me say these ankle/wrist weights are nice. The construction seems to be pretty good. The weights are sand bags, and the platic is thick, so you shouldn't have any leak issues unless you're throwing the weights around haphazardly.
So, what cost them the star? They're loose with low weight. Let me explain. I decided to start out with just two pounds (one bag). I'm a skinny guy. Even with the straps pulled as far they can go, there was still a lot of play. I'm using them for leg lifts, so it's not an issue for me, but it would be rather annoying if you were using them while running. Now, as you add weights, they take up the slack. With eight or ten pounds (four or five bags) in these, they are fine. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking to start out with low weight and do things involving a lot of movement.
The picture on the box and displayed on Amazon makes these looks much slimmer and shorter than they actually are. In reality, these go almost all the way to my elbow (I'm a man, and my arms aren't short by any stretch) and they bulk out a fair distance from your arm. Someone else noted that these were kind of loose, but I didn't heed his warning because he added the modifier "for a skinny guy". I weight train quite frequently (I bought these to go with a 40lbs weight vest) and my arms aren't skinny by any means. Even though my arms are plenty large, these weights will not stay on my wrists during exercises that require movement. At the same time that these are a little bit too large for my wrists, they are a little too small for my ankles. They'll stay on, but they are so tight that it is difficult to jog with them. As for the build quality, it seems fine, and I can't imagine this thing coming apart any time soon (it is sand bags inside what I'd imagine is nylon fabric, with velcro straps. I don't detect any sand leakage, and the bags fit inside the straps securely)
I'd send these back, but they do have their function as weights to be used in stationary exercises. This means leg lifts, arm curls, etc. All things considered, I think the weighted vests are a better buy for anyone that is serious about training with weights. While they are more expensive, they stay on much more securely, and working out with them on is much easier. If nothing else, I can throw these weights in a backpack and add twenty pounds to the forty in the vest whenever forty becomes too little weight for me.
These came exactly as expected, heavy. Each one is an adjustable up to 10 Lbs of weight. The ONLY draw back on this one that kept it from being a 5 stars is the fact that it doesn't fit on your arms "properly" unless your arms are as thick as your legs. It doesn't slide too much but it's enough to be a slight bother.
I needed a set of ankle weights that were adjustable so I could gradually move up over the 10 lb pair for certain exercises. These really fit the bill and are well made. The fit is a little big with only 6lbs on each leg to start with, but not so big that sliding around is a problem. I would certainly recommend them!
These are the first wrist/ankle weights I have purchased in about 15 years. I wanted something easy and rugged to use. Why buy it, if it is just going to fall apart right away. I was pretty happy with the ease of adjustment where the sandbags are concerned. I started out with about four pounds and worked my way up to the full ten in about three weeks.
I use them to build arm strength. They wrap around the wrist comfortably and stay put. I did not have them sliding down the arms. the Velcro seems pretty heavy duty and doesn't seem to be wearing down much ( I use these daily) from the use they get.
As far as toughness in materials, they stand up to my obnoxious cat who likes to claw everything. I haven't had a leaking sand bag yet! The outer wrap material is doing fine as well.
As these have worked out pretty well I may actually buy another set for the ankles or to strap together on the current pair to add more weight. I have done this with the current pair. the straps seem to support the full twenty pounds with no trouble.
for the price they are an excellent product
I had a pair of ankle weights (5 lb each) I got from Wal-Mart about a year ago ... they were not well made with only 1 strap to wrap around the ankle and it was not a durable material. They were always sliding and moving and I also developed a leak.
Thus, I began my search for a high quality 10 lb per ankly weight system and these looked to be much better quality and felt like much better quality upon initial inspection. However, the stiching on one strap on one leg gave way the first day I used them. Thinking about it, it would seem this could be a recurring problem since 10 lb each ankle is a pretty good amount that could stress stiching.
I returned them yesterday and will continue my search for a very well made 10 lb per ankle weight. Perhaps I just got a lemon. - Fitness - Wrist Weights - Adjustable Ankle Weights - Exercise'

Brad Nailers - woodworking, nailers
I purchased this particular item because of its better range of brad sizes it can handle, and the Porter Cable name, good reviews, etc.
I have been using this nailer quite often, and am now left with several boxes of finish nails I will likely never use again. No more getting the nailsets out to bury a finish nail down on a piece of trim, etc.
The options for using this are endless. Just last night, I needed to make a couple wood boxes to hold scrap in my workshop area, and had some scrap 3/8" plywood, perfect for the boxes. Using this nailer, I could quickly apply a little glue, between corners of the box, and shoot a couple brads in and done. Can't do that with finish nails on plywood without splitting out alot.
Great tool, highly recommended, easy to handle. Porter-Cable BN200B 5/8-Inch to 2-Inch 18-Gauge Brad Nailer
I own many Porter-Cable tools. They have never failed or disappointed me.
I have an older version of this Porter-Cable nailer and it's a great nailer even after shooting well over 5,000 nails. Of all the tools in my shop, it's one of my favorites. Indispensible for woodworking and trim.
My first brad nailer was a no-name cheapo that shot maybe 100 nails before it was trash.
I purchased this one as a gift.
I am very impressed with this brad nailer. I tried different lengths of brads on different woods and everything worked great. I had no problem driving the brads all the way into the wood or by make a simple change to the depth adjustment, I could leave the heads up. The case is nice as well.
I bought the Porter Cable 18 ga. nailer to do some trim work around the house. I was so impressed that I also bought their 16 ga. nailer and framing nailer. To date, I've never had a jam and they've all worked perfectly. I've never owned any other nailer so I can't compare their performance, but since the Porter Cable's work so well, I have no reason to shop around.
After using the nailer for over a year a air leak started right at the bottom of the nailing housing opposite the trigger. I took the four hex screws out of the top cover and looked around. Investigation revealed a leak between the drive cylinder which runs vertical above the nail head and the gun housing. Instead of ordering a new O ring and seal,(parts number 116 and 118 on the Porter Cable web site) which i probably would have nicked trying to install and have a new leak, I bought a tube of silicon sealant and squeezed a thick half-inch coating of silicon around the outer edge of the cylinder and over the seal. Careful not to cover the cave in the handle where air is stored between shots or get any silicon on the little round trigger housing and let it set open for 24 hours. Put the top back on torquing the hex nuts tightly on the gasket and fired it up. Nails like new. The silicon is tough and should last a few years. Good little nailer. Enjoy, Dave
I read several articles with the majority rating the Hitachi and the PC as best values. I went with the PC since several people mentioned the noise of the Hitachi. May not be an issue if you're outside but inside - I could see the problem. Since purchasing, I have installed several door frames and trim and probably 600 feet of baseboard without a misfire or bad contact point. Granted, I've only shot 600 or so nails but reading reviews and articles from more experienced users, it's what you can expect. The nailer is lightweight, easy to use, and quiet for a pneumatic. One accessory I've come to enjoy is the provided cap to put over the air nipple. Most of my projects so far have involved high-levels of drywall and wood dust in the area. Being able to cap the nipples when the nailer is not in use is great. So is the provided belt hook for when exchanging out the nailer for my PC stapler. When using, keep your air pressure above 75psi. Anything below that and you'll notice the nails will not be flush with your surface. I can't speak for the durability of this nailer but for the time I have owned and used it and my history with other PC products, I consider it a very good product for the price and have no reason to believe it will falter.
The Good: This gun is great. It goes along great with my PC 16ga nailer which is well over 13 years old and still going strong. It has great features in a compact lightweight frame. I use it primarily for trim and and wood furniture. Free shipping and Price are also nice.
The Not So Good: make sure when using 2" nails that you are using the right size. Some 2" nails are 50mm and some are 51mm. This gun only accepts up to 50mm. The PC Brand 2" nails are 51mm!!! Kind of silly that the products are incompatible even though both made/labeled PC. I spoke with PC and they avoided the aspect of incompatibility and simply said 51mm may cause unwanted operation.
The Bad: Amazon is extremely slow at shipping. Waited over a week for it to finally ship then 4 days shipping time. Yeah I know it's free shipping, but even the slowest shipping method doesn't take that long.
After weeks and weeks of research and frustration when reading all the Amazon reviews on brad nailers and thinking I found the 5 star gun to buy, only to get turned off by one lousy 1 star review, and agononizing over whether I should spend $90 on a tool I'll rarely use, I finally bit the bullet and ordered this Porter Cable BN200B. It was delivered in great condition in only 4 days with free shipping. Had a nice hard plastic storage case, but they ddn't make the relief fit the belt clip on the nailer very well. You have to svivel it around to get the case to close properly, and even then it seems out of place. I've fired off about 100 of the 1.5" brads they include in the kit, and it worked great. Never misfired once and all were countersunk correctly. My only complaint is that they made the nail clip out of plastic, instead of aluminum. Come on guys, even the cheap Harbor Freight guns have aluminum clips. - Woodworking - Nailers'

Swisa Beauty - etre, exfoliating
This is the best foot care product on the market. I can't say enough good things about it. All the womwen and some of the men in the family use it now. It really works to get rid of dryness and cracking skin on your feet. Swisa Beauty Mineral Treatment, Pineapple Mango, 10 Oz.
Hi
My son has sufferred from Eczema for years and it always gets worse when on holiday. We listened to a lady on a stall in America, who said it is useful for eczema, but thought it was expensive $80 Dollars
Found it on Amazon and bought some. My son used it while on holiday with amazing results. His eczema calmed and all but disappeared.
Well worth a try if your kids suffer from this horrible ailment.
Also lovely for the wifes hands and feet!
Let me first start my review by saying, I have been labeled by physicians as "OCD" when it comes to lotion/body scrub use (Obsession in that I HAVE to have lotion on; Compulsive because it HAS to be a certain kind)! I CANNOT even walk out in the rain without re-applying lotion. Like another reviewer said, I had discovered this product SEVERAL years ago at a kiosk in the mall as well. At that time, I was REALLY young and didn't have ANY problems with dry skin- but still had the obsession with lotions. Since they no longer have this in the mall here, I did a search for this on Amazon and was so extremely excited when I found it on here! I have used medicated lotions/body scrubs, super expensive ones- NOTHING on the market is going to make your skin feel the way the Swisa Dead Sea scrub does! As soon as you wash it off, the feel of your skin is ridiculously soft!!! I have made 5-6 of my friends try out the product and EVERY one of them is amazed with the result!! One of them is an Arbonne consultant that sells their own body scrub and lotions, and she ordered it from Amazon from my house before leaving!!! There really is nothing better for soft skin that actually LASTS throughout the entire day!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that craves soft skin, or has issued with keeping their skin soft! You won't be disappointed!!!!!
I was first introduced to the Swisa Beauty Mineral Products at a kiosk in a mall. I usually don't get hooked by the kiosk pitch; however, I couldn't help but notice how amazed people looked walking away from trying this product. I decided to give it a try myself, and boy was I impressed! This product was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. You can always find lotions or scrubs advertising how they'll make your skin feel silky soft. Usually though, they'll make you feel silky soft for about a day, or even less if you wash it off. Swisa is unlike the rest of these common products as it leaves you feeling soft and smooth for over a week. After exfoliating with Swisa, it seriously makes you feel like you're reborn all over again, as if none of the elements have ever touched your skin! Aside from feel, it leaves a noticeably visual difference after just one application. Your body is left smelling fresh and fragrant (but not girly- just yummy), feeling smoother than it's ever felt before, and glowing like you're brand new! The product and its fragrance work well for any person, male or female. My family, friends and boyfriend rave about this product now that I've shown it to them! It works great on already smooth skin as well as rough skin. I use it on my hands and feet as it says, but sometimes can't help exfoliating my arms and neck with it as well. I love how it makes me look and glow, feel and smell. My only piece of advice is don't put it over sensitive areas of the skin, especially if you're pores are open (i.e. freshly shaved legs) as the sea salt can sting a little. The kiosk disappeared from the mall but I was so impressed by this product, I ended up having to track it down on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and try it. I guarantee instant, impressive results. You won't want to stop using it!
i bought this and to my surprise it arrived in just 3 days with the standadr shiping. Ive recently bought this item at the mall for over $50 and was excited to finally see it available on amazon, i would just type in swisa on the amazon search and one day it came up. So when i saw this amazing low price i ordered several and is enjoying my smooth soft skin again. i know it makes my hands soft so now i fnd myself holding hands more with my boyfriend and shaking people hands. its definately a must have on my list and i promise it will be yours ENJOY!
I think the product works wonderfully. My husband keeps straing at me telling me I look 5 years younger! Thank you Swisa Pineapplee Mango treatment.....Doesn't taste all that well however!
