Audio Book Player - cd walkman, portable cd player
After searching the net for a day, this was the best CD player I could find. I bought the unit as a backup for my (still functioning well) Sony DNF-430, a unit I'm in love with but I am concerned that when it eventually dies (as we all must), there will no longer be a decent standard CD player at all.
This unit seems to be the successor to the 430. Several improvements have been made over the 430:
It uses 2 batteries instead of 1 for longer play between battery swaps
The controls are much better -- transport function controls that were twitchy on the 430 are larger and better laid out
The remote is easier to use, and the controls are laid out identically to those on the top of the player
It "remembers" where you left off playing a CD and starts from there after being stopped OR (new) even after the door has been opened
The display is much easier to read, especially from an angle
The case seems more solid
The price has been substantially reduced
On the downside vs 430:
Maximum volume not quite as loud as the 430, and very high or very low frequencies are not rendered quite as well
The weather, AM radio, and analog TV receivers have been dropped (doubt many used these functions)
The LCD readout of song titles and artists on regular CDs is gone
No ATRACS (Sony's old compression scheme that had no real advantage over MP3s)
The parametric equalizer is gone (really only useful with low quality headphones)
The body is noticably heavier and larger both in thickness and diameter
The transport buttons are much easier to accidentally press when carrying it about as a portable (use the "hold" button underneath to prevent this).
The remote connector has changed, so only the remote that comes with the unit may be used
Cheezy earbuds and a car cassette adaptor are no longer included
Like the DNF430, the transport mechanism is a bit noisy, although no louder than the sound leakage you would get with good open-air headphones (recommended). No AC power adaptor is included, but there is provision for plugging in separately purchased 4.5 volt AC or car DC adaptor. And opening the lid to change CDs is still a bit awkward. The anti-skip mechanism still works flawlessly.
The important thing, the reason for the five stars, is the sound quality. While sonically not quite up to the DNF430, you still can plug in a pair of good headphones like the Grado SR80 and you've got yourself a personal sound system that rivals a good home theater setup. Other reviewers have spoken of "muddy sound" and "hiss"; I can detect none such. The low distortion and high frequency range does reveal flaws in source material that are not evident when that material is played on a lesser unit. On the other hand, I have heard distinct background playing (eg., a trumpet way down in the mix of a Grateful Dead song, the sound of a pick against guitar strings) I'd never heard on lesser players. When playing big band or orchestra CDs, it individuates instruments so you hear each distinctly instead of a single smear of orchesteral sound. This all refers to standard CD's. I do not use the FM or MP3 features. If you care about good sound, you realize that MP3 compression degrades sound.
Bottom line: for car or personal listening of standard or burned CDs while not too active, this is a wonderful device. While the size, weight, and easily triggered controls make it less than ideal for physically active listening (I still listen to my hearty old Panasonic while working in the garden), it is still quite serviceable in that mode.
I think Sony made a lot of sensible design decisions here, and I hope they sell enough of these to make it worthwhile to keep manufacturing them. Sony D-NF340 CD Walkman & MP3 Player w/FM Tuner
I like to listen to books on disk while I clean, which means I'm moving around. This CD-player is great. I can move around freely without it interrupting the playback. This is a HUGE improvement over the CD-player I owned previously.
Additionally, the sound is good and the interface is intuitive. I am very happy with my purchase.
I purchased the Sony D-NF340 CD Walkman & MP3 Player w/FM Tuner to replace my ageing 11 year old Panasonic SL-S232C portable CD player. I would have purchased another Panasonic player however none was available. I did purchase a Phillips CD/MP3 player from a large national retail chain. I returned it because it skiped, shut off frequently (so much for anti-shock) and it had below average sound quality.
VOLUME: I almost didn't purchase the Sony D-NF340 because a few of the reviews I read stated that the player has little or very low volume. However, I own a number of other Sony products (LCD HD T-V, Blue Ray, Camcorders etc.)and all of them are of the finest quality. So I took a chance. Well, Let me assure you that this player will provide more than enough volume and bass. I increased the volume and the volume bar graph on the display indicated approx. 25%. WOW!! That provided plenty of db's (decibles). I increased the volume to 50% and that was more than I personally felt comfortable with.
I might suggest reading the instructions. I'm a guy and I know it goes against the grain to do this. However, there is a AVLS button (automatic volume limiter system) that limits the volume function. It's also a real possibility that these units were defective or the headphones they were using weren't compatable. All I can say is the unit I purchased will blow your socks off if you want it to (PLEASE, I don't recommend this).
Motor Noise: The motor/transport mechanism is a little louder than my old panasonic but it's not that noticeable and doesn't present a problem with me, especially with my headphones on (Ha Ha).
SOUND QUALITY: The sound quality compared to my old Panasonic SL-S242C isn't quite as good. However, compared to my ipod 30 GB Classic, I didn't notice very much difference. The Sony D-NF340 does have a nice presentation on the very high and very low frequencies. It also has a button to select 3 levels of bass. I couldn't detect any hiss in the background. I only play CD's and can't report on MP3 quality.
FM RADIO: Works great. Clear reception. The antenna is the earphone cord and it has 40 station presets.
FUNCTIONALITY: VERY easy to operate. The remote control might be a guy thing but it's very useful. I carry my player in a Tune Belt and it's nice to operate the player without removing it from the pouch. The primary operating buttons are located on the front panel ILO (in lieu of) the side panel for easy visual identification and physical operation.
EARPHONES: The included earphones were a pleasent surprise. The sound quality is really quite good for an included feature. - Portable Cd Players - Cd Walkman - Portable Cd Player - Personal Cd Player'

Very Usefull - hdmi, hdtv
I have my Dish Receiver and Blu-ray player plugged into this switch. They both only take a couple of seconds for a successful HDCP handshake with this switch. I can't attest to the long term reliability of this product having it only for a few days. However, it seems to work well in terms of functionality and picture quality. The provided remote also works quite well. It also seems to remain very cool considering it is a HDMI amplifier and not a passive unit.
The reality is that this is a no name electronic product from China. I don't really see a brand name anywhere. Therefore, my main concern is longevity. Only time will tell. HDMI 3 Port Gold Platted Switch Switcher w/ IR Remote For HDTV Direct TV PS3 LCD Plasma
It does the job of switching between Tivo and Bluray, on an older DLP set with only one HDMI input.
One little complaint; the remote has those plastic-foil buttons and is powered by a watch battery. So you have to aim is straight at the box and push hard. I just rubber banded it to the back of my stereo remote so I don't lose it.
The idea is good, the price is great and most of the reviews are super. But you can get the automatic switch version for about the same price (I did after buying this) and it is super. I couldn't figure out why I was getting what appeared to be interference in all my videos running off a WD Passport drive. I even bought new HDMI cables thinking that was it. There were bright sparkles moving across the screen in all frames. No matter what I tried, they were always there and made the movies unwatchable. After I received the auto switch no more sparkles. Beautiful clear picture and it really does switch to the active source automatically. This is the one you want: 3 Port Smart Auto HDMI Switch
by Game Infinity, currently $30 and change.
I might have just gotten a defective one with bad circuitry, but I suspect I will have a very hard time getting a refund as the warranty return insert that comes with the first unit has so many exclusions that unless your unit is eaten by an aardvark, you probably are out of luck. Be prepared to be out your purchase price.
Nowhere on the item description does it say this product come's with a foreign power transformer. There is no way to plug this adapter into a United States Spec Plug. False advertising, product does not work and was not sold as described.
Went to store to purchase a universal adapter. When plugged in, this also did not work, meaning unit was dead and defective. Complete waste of time and money.
Do yourself a favor and buy something else. Will be returning for refund.
The item that gets all the good reviews must be a different one than the one I received today. No BOX, just a PLASTIC BAG with the unit, the remote and the power supply that you can't use. The power supply will plug fit outlets in Germany! But will not plug into the outlets in my home in USA. I will not even open the bag. It looks like a returned unit. This is a buyer beware item. No instructions either. I get the feeling that if this unit was sold by Amazon it would be a new in the box unit, but it is sold by a different seller. This gives me even more reason to make sure that what I'm buying is sold by Amazon!
i can't believe people gave this a good review.this is the worst hdmi switch box you will ever come across.half the time the remote doesn't work and this is with a brand new battery.the other things that are wrong with it is the picture.lots of times you get fuzzy lines so you have to keep changing the switch on the box and go to video 2 and then video 3 and then back to video 1 to get the picture to show up with no lines and with sound again.and that doesnt always work.sometimes you have to turn it off and back on again and that doesn't always fix the problem.so this thing is just one headache after another.i am back on amazon to order a different box and hopefully i will find a better one.anything will be better than this one.
I purchased this item based upon the few good reviews it has here and was not disappointed. It works flawlessly right out of the box. For a "no-name" HDMI switch at this price, you cannot do any better. Definitely Recommended!
Received this about 3 weeks ago not bad, working very good, I only have one hdmi input on my hdtv so this is doing the job for my sony upconvert dvd player hd and dishnetwork box. Give it a try if you need extra hdmi inputs. Would Like to know the life span on this unit HDMI 3 Port Gold Platted Switcher made in China
Fantastic product I puchased this product 1 month ago. It works great!!! I have a panny 1080p television with a nice picture, this product upgraded the signal to 1440. really. I recommmend this product to anyone and save yourself a couple hundred dollars. - Hdmi - Hdtv - Hdmi Switcher - 1080p'

Dvd Dual Layer - dvdr, dual layer
Quick Summary: Burns at 2.4x or 4x on Plextor 716A burner; Verbatim DVD+R DL burned with the Plextor 716A is PLAYABLE in EVERY DVD Player (at least 20 and counting) I have tried!!! Awesome.
Full article:
I recently used the Verbatim DVD+R DL media to back up a couple of my most popular DVD's. The original was 8.1GB in size and contained about 50 music videos. I couldn't get it to squeeze down to fit on a single layer disc. Verbatim DVD+R DL to the rescue!
Using my new Plextor PX-716A burner (an excellent DVD Burner!), I used the included PlexTools program to make a copy of my DVD. Note, the original DVD is not protected in any way.
I burned the DVD+R DL at 4x speed (approx. 28 min. to burn). There is a selection in the Plextor's software to "overwrite" the book type of the DVD+R DL so that it looks like a pressed dual-layer DVD to settop DVD players (to avoid a confusing older DVD players). I used this setting (it is by default) to burn the DVD.
When it comes to DVD burning, there is no better test than the compatiblilty and quality test of the burned disc. The test is simple, put the burned DVD in as many players as you can and see how many can and cannot read it. Well, I have to say that I have tested this DVD+R DL in over 20 DVD players so far, and ALL have played it with NO COMPATIBILITY issues whatsoever. This finding is as good as or better than all DVD+R and DVD-R (single layer) I have ever used.
After having read all the reviews on the web about how incompatible burned DVD+R DL discs are, I have to say, the Plextor 716A and Verbatim DVD+R DL combination blows everything else away.
Yes, the discs are kinda expensive, but if you have valuable or irreplaceable DVDs to back up, they will work for you. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
Just a couple quick notes:
1. To ensure compatibility among all DVD-Players, be sure you set your recording software to finalize all DVD+/-R's with the DVD-Rom booktype. If you do not, older DVD players may have trouble recognizing the DVD's. The Plextor drives have a setting (via Plextools) that will allow you to force them to always finalize with the DVD-Rom booktype!
2. I have burned about 200 of these Verbatim DVD+R DL discs successfully and have used no other brand. I refuse to even try another brand. There have been only 2 out of all of them I had problems with. First one I put an adhesive label on, and the label warped the DVD. When I tried to "flatten" it, the DVD cracked center-to-edge and I had to toss it. Second disc had a few read errors on it near the layer switch. The bonding on that disc appeared to be a bit weak near the center, as some of the dye was inconsistent there. Go figure as to why the problem was at the layer break at the outer edge of the DVD. Verbatim 96577 8.5 GB 2.4x-6x Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 50-Disc Spindle
I am burning these discs on a Lite-On LH-20A1S and a Sony DRU-810A, and they work flawlessly. Maybe it's the fact that they are on Sony's compatible list for the drive or that they are quality discs, I don't know. But what I do know is that the picture quality that I got from my copy was PERFECT. NO PIXELATION, NO DROPPED FRAMES, and NO PAUSES. A perfect burn.
I ran the Verbatim discs through DVDInfo Pro and it came back with write speeds of 2.4, 4.0, and 8.0 (see picture.) The box mine came in says "up to 6x speed," so you MIGHT be able to push it to 8x with a high speed drive.
For everyday, general consumer use you should find that these discs will give you a high quality, dependable burn. Some may ask if they are archival quality, and I have to say that my guess is 'no.' Unless the disc specifically says "archival quality" then I would assume that they are standard discs (which have been found to deteriorate over time.
I highly recommend these discs for your approved DVD+R DL burner. (Remember to check the media compatibility of your drive BEFORE you purchase these discs or any other disc! See your drive manufacturer's website for details.)
Verbatim DL used to be by far the best DL media available. Reliable, stable in storage, and consistent high quality made by Mitsubishi in their Singapore plant, one of the highest quality DVD production plants in the world.
Not any more. Verbatim has outsourced a large part of their DL production to a plant in India, and now when you buy this media you have a high chance of getting made in India - this product is poor, often with obvious physical defects in the media like bubbles, holes and foil delaminates.
It is possible to still find made in Singapore cakeboxes on store shelves, but if you can't actually read the disk label before buying you are rolling the dice when you buy.
It is a real shame Verbatim does not offer the Singapore product as a diferent grade. It would be worth a few extra bucks to get a cakebox that had a 95% success rate vs. the 50% rate the made in India product gives.
Verbatim has really gotten a black eye in my book with this stunt. - Data Storage - Dvdr - Verbatim - Dual Layer'

6th Grade - 6th grade, workbook
This book is a great way to avoid your child feeling as though they have fallen behind or forgotten everything at the beginning of a new school year. My son has attention deficit disorder, and needed something over the summer to keep his skills and knowledge fresh. Other workbooks we have tried over summer breaks have been too overwhelming for him, but this seems to be a perfect fit. He is actually excited about working on this book over this summer. The only negative thing I would say is in comparison to "Summer Bridge" books for younger children, which to me are organized a little more logically. In those books, the child works through each page sequentially (Day 1 has a couple pages on each of the topics of math, spelling, etc.), while this book has you skip around a little more between each subject area. I really feel my son will be better equipped when the new school year starts, and not have so much catching up to do. Summer Bridge Activities: 6th to 7th Grade
I noticed that the Middle School versions of the Summer Bridge Activity books have been revised and are organized differently. I really like the way it is done now. It is organized like the Elementary Summer Bridge Activity books now. I really like the changes. The other versions were very difficult to keep track of my children's progress.
I first purchased the Summer Bridge series for 5th to 6th grade because my son was switching school districts and I was afraid he was going to be a little behind because the curriculum in the new district was more stringent. We used this book throughout the summer to keep his skills as well as to teach skills he hadn't learned yet. My son ended up with a 4.0 and was recommended for Advanced Placement Math in 7th grade. We used it again for 6th to 7th, and again another 4.0. But I knew it was a success when my son brought home a Language Arts paper at the end of 7th grade. At the beginning of the school year, his teacher had the class write down what they did over the summer. The teacher decided to keep the papers until the end of the year. My son wrote that he enjoyed doing the workbooks because he got rewards and he "didn't forget what he learned the year before" and "stayed ahead of his class" and "got on the honor roll". Imagine my surprise!! What a great book!!
My kids have used the "Summer Bridge" books for 4 years now. They love them because it's only a page a day and after 15 days they get to do something fun with either mom or dad or both! They work for 15 days at a time in the book and then there is a reward of their choosing, (of course, mom and/or dad should agree with the reward), by the end of summer they will have finished the workbook. I loved it because they could work independently and together we can sit down in the afternoon when it's hot and cuddle up with some good books to read. It gives you reading lists for the child's age group. It is a great way for them to stay up on what they learned over the school year and gives them a taste of what they will be learning this next school year. We will continue to get "Summer Bridge", it's wonderful!
My husband started my son with Summer Bridge in kindergarten. He is now going into 7th grade. He's always done very well in school (straight A's) and I think SB keeps his mind fresh. We started our daughter on SB last year. There are activities for all subjects and some use of the internet is needed for research for the older kids. SB also suggests age appropriate books for your child to read. The answers are posted in the back of the book to check your child's work...let's face it, we've been out of school for a while!
This seems like a pretty good book to use during the summer, just to keep my son thinking a little bit. I like that the book is not just math and basic grammar. There are social studies and science pages too. However, I still seem to feel like something is missing, if we don't work on math every day, so I skip around in the book and add on extra math using worksheets I am able to print from the internet. There is no perfect book, but this one seems to do a pretty good job.
I buy these books every summer for my 2 school age children. Great for review over the summer! My daughter actually really enjoys doing it! It keeps their schoolwork fresh in their minds over the summer & then review isn't such a chore in September!
This is a great workbook. I do recommend it to any Parent. My daughter really enjoyed it and it didn't take her more than 30 minutes a day. It covers all subjects and more! Summer Bridge Activities is definitely a great summer workbook! - Workbook - 6th Grade'

Vitacoco - coconut, sports drink
Coconut water and me do not mix. I have tried all of the brands out there and was very satisfied with this flavor mix. I know all about the health benefits and try to drink one a day. Much better for you than Sports drinks! If you drink too much alcohol, try this the next morning, it will help with the recovery! This flavor mix was very tasty and does not have a coconut after taste. It has the Passion fruit taste throughout the whole experience. I would recommend since the price is lower here on Amazon!
I love coconut water. It's so refreshing. I've been wanting to try some of the flavored coconut waters and grabbed this when it was on sale.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't like this flavor at all. It had a sour taste to me that I really disliked. I drank down one, but was not happy to think of drinking the other 11! sigh... I gave the rest of them to my brother and I hope he enjoyed the flavor more than I did. I wont be getting this flavor again.
Bought this to replace gatorade and all the other sports drinks that are loaded with sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colors and all that other junk. This is so satisfying to drink and doesn't make you sick, you can feel the difference when you drink something so good. Lovin' it!!!!
I ordered both the coconut water and coconut water with passion fruit. I honestly was expecting to like the plain coconut water better because I'm used to having fresh coconut water, but the coconut water with passion fruit was good. There's a real passion fruit taste present in the drink and it brightens up the drink without being too overwhelming. It's definitely a great drink to have to start or end the day.
While myself and my sister are undergoing treatment for cancer, was advised to try this product Vita Coco Coconut water, what a difference it made immediately.
Hydration is so important while undergoing radiation, or chemo ,
Vita Coco, fits right into a program to help hydrate and keep your vital organs, protected.
Will drink it forever.
Thanks Jene Fielder
Great option for those who don't like the taste of plain coconut water. The passion fruit is delicious and it tastes best when served ICE COLD. Love to drink this before, during and post workout. Besides being a great hydrating tool, it helps avoid cramping as well.
Coconut water is high in potassium and a natural electrolyte. It helps to rehydrate you much faster than Gatorade only wishes it could. Depending on what you are used to drinking, you may love or hate coconut water. I think that it's a matter of getting used to a different taste more than it being "bad" or "gross." If you go into it thinking you're going to be drinking juice, think again. This is more a watered down juice-like drink, but it has much less sugar and doesn't give a sugar shock that leaves you wishing for more to drink.
My whole family enjoys this brand and this specific flavor combo. We all do not enjoy plain ole coconut water and really liked the juice-like taste of this flavor. It works for us, but your family may enjoy another flavor better. I would try several flavors before deciding on one or none at all. I had this as a Subscribe & Save item for over a year, until Amazon told me I no longer could buy it that way. I was devastated.
I searched on Amazon to see if I could find something comparable. After ordering the O.N.E. Coconut Water with a Splash of Passion Fruit, 8.5-Ounce Aseptic Containers (Pack of 12) a month ago, I, as well as another family member, finally decided to try one today. We both had the same reaction..."this doesn't taste as good as the brand we had been drinking." Hence my coming to Amazon tonight to write a review of the O.N.E. product... Now I wish I hadn't ordered 3 whole boxes of it! I thought @ $10/box of 12 I couldn't go wrong. Hmm, maybe I was wrong!
But enough of O.N.E. Coconut Water with Passion Fruit, Vita Coco Coconut Water with Passion Fruit tastes so much better! If you're sick and feeling dehydrated, this is what you need. If you've just done a big workout and nothing can quench your thirst, this is what you need. If you're feeling a little run done or have a headache that just won't quit, this is what you need.
Luckily, my dislike of O.N.E. brand led me back to Amazon to see that I could once again order Vita Coco Coconut Water with Passion Fruit as a Subscribe & Save. Comparably, the price difference is negligible: ounce for ounce it is just about the same. I only wish I hadn't been ousted before! - Coconut Water - Coconut - Sports Drink - Cooking - Delicious - Vitacoco'

Dvr Expander - hd dvr, dvr
I LOVED this device for about a week... I was constantly deleting content so new programs could be added, but once this was installed, I never got over 21% full. But after a week, I noticed, that if I was recording 2 programs and watching another recorded program, it caused my cablebox to Reboot. If I was recording 2 programs and not watching another program, or recording 1 program and watching another, it would cause the playback to skip to the point that the program was unwatchable. I dealt with the issue for several months, not knowing for sure that the issue was with DVR expander. I finally had Cablevision come out, they tested the lines (perfect) and replaced the cablebox. I used the new cable box for 2 days without the expander, and it worked fine. I added the expander and within 1.5 hours it caused the cablebox to reboot, then again a half hour later. I disconnected the expander, and have not had a problem since... Apricorn DVR Expander II 1 TB Cable and Dish Network Dual eSATA / USB 2.0 Interface DVR Expansion System ADVRE2-1000, Black 1 TB
I never knew this type product existed until a friend told me about them. If you've ever blown out the capacity on your cable company DVR - easy to do if you mostly record in HD - then you need this product for piece of mind. Especially at this price. When I got it I had about a dozen or so recordings and was over 90% full. After installing the expander, I went below 6%. A few weeks later, I unthinkingly clicked the "record all episodes on this channel" for TNTHD's Law and Order (gulp). Within a few days I had more than 50 episodes and was still at less than 50%!
The product is a little noisey but not annoyingly so. And like your cable box it's always on so I expect its a bit of a power vampire. It does work seemlessly with my DVR. I had one installation concern. The manual only covered Scientific Atlanta, DirectTV and Dish units. My cable company DVR is from Cisco. I contacted the company's service desk and they said it should work anyway. I followed the Scientifc Atlanta installation instructions and they worked exactly the same.
When you look at the price of this unit and think how much you pay your cable company for box rental, it really highlights what a rip-off the cable boxes are. Memory is cheap. There is no reason they should come with a lousy 80 or 160 gigs.
I wasn't 100% sure this item would work with my Dish Network HD DVR (722), but to my satisfaction, everything worked perfectly! There was even specific instructions included for connecting to a Dish Network DVR, and the number to call Dish Network to activate. The only reason I did not rate this with 5 stars was the fact that the power LED on the front of the case is very bright, and can be distracting and annoying when watching TV. I'm planning on trying to cover that up. Other than that, I highly recommend this device to add storage to your existing DVR.
For some reason the first time I tried to activate the expander the SA8300HD DVR did not accept the device. But on a 2nd attempt the DVR recognized the Expander. Seems to work great went from 41% capacity used on the hard drive to 6% after the install.
I was very pleased with the simple, accurate, and straightforward directions that came with the drive (Apricorn 1TB DVR). Installation was very quick and trouble-free. We now have vastly increased capacity on our Scientific-Atlanta controller.
This product, per Apricorn, is NOT compatible with Cablevision's system, nor with Scientific Atlanta units attached to that provider. I can verify this as I have this unit, and picture breakup is so common as to render this device worthless. Amazon has not updated their website to correctly state where this unit is now recommended for use, assuming of course that Apricorn is truthful in their claims that they no longer support Cablevision's systems. Net, research this very carefully before acquiring this unit, as there is significant risk it will not work as intended in some common applications.
My husband got two of these expanders for me-one for the upstairs retreat & one for downstairs. Both hi-def TVs that have DVRs on them, but of course those only hold 80 hrs. of regular TV & if you record hi-def, it's 3 hrs. for every one! I never had enough time for recordings, so these make it great to record lots of shows & catch up on them when you have the time!! Now I don't have to miss anything I want to see, plus record it on hi-def, which is what we bought these great TVs to do!!! Love & recommend!! Just check to be sure this is compatible to your cable company..., my husband did some research to make sure it'd work before he bought them!!
Love the Apricorn DVR Expander II. Super simple to set up. I called Dish Network and they activated the extra storage device for no charge. The DVR recognized the system immediately. Easy to transfer recorded programs to the expander. Great purchase. - High Definition - Apricorn - Hd Dvr - Dvr'

Photo Paper Premium Epson
I use this paper to print out 2.3 to 4 megapixel digital photos on an Epson C44UX printer at 8 x 6. The finish of the paper has a beautiful jeweled look and the paper dries quickly. The colors do not smudge placed inside archival sleeves. In comparison to other papers I have used the past month, it's far superior to Southworth standard glossy paper. Southworth paper actually warps because the gel layer might be too thin or maybe because the paper is cheaply produced -- Southworth paper is essentially paper with a thin coating of something or other. Kodak Premium Photo paper (glossy) was not as good either. The Kodak paper has a cheaper look to it, but maybe it's due to the glossy finish(?). The Kodak paper is also whiter and the colors looked a bit washed out by comparison to the Epson prints. The print output looked like it came from an inkjet printer. Viewed alone, Kodak prints looked okay -- it's when you put them side by side with another paper that's better. HP Premium Plus (glossy) was nearly as good, but the colors also didn't seem to appear as natural. It may have something to do with whatever gel or emulsion Epson is coating this paper with. The results on Epson paper look like photos from the photo lab -- it's hard to believe my forty five buck printer can make this kind of output. Like someone said elsewhere, you can spend hundreds on a high tech printer, but if you get low quality paper, the results are yuck. So, I use my remaining supply of the other papers to print out labels and things, and I use the Epson paper to print out photos that I frame and hang on the wall. This paper is recommended. Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 50 Sheets
I have an Epson 960 Photo Printer. I have tried various Epson photo papers with the printer and this is by far the best. The premium glossy paper was nice but I could see some bands through the image that were barely percepible even when the printer was new. With the Premium Luster paper the ink lays down beautifully and perfectly and the image has what I can only describe in words as a rich feel to it. Paper selection is very personal but if you have not tried this paper you owe it to yourself to run some of it through your printer. There's a good chance you'll be back for more.
I print a lot of pictures in my business. This is by far the best paper I have used. I have several types of printers, Cannon, Epson, HP and this works well with all of them. This is a great deal as far as price goes as well. I did a lot of research to find the least expensive to try this product out and this was the best price and the fastest delivery! Professional or family fun this is professional quality paper.
I have a Canon i950 that I hadn't been that happy with using photo paper by Burlington, Fuji, or Kodak. I purchased this to try to see if the poor quality of my prints was the printer or the paper. Having placed the Epson Premium Luster through several head to head comparisons tonight - the answer is that the printer is fine and the Epson Premium Luster is AWESOME.
The photos print just beautifully on this paper. Colors are crisp, droplets don't smudge together and the luster surface dries quickly. This has the look and feel of the paper that wedding photographer use. I printed both high pixel and low pixel count photos. The low pixel counts looked much better on this paper but the proof really comes on high pixel count photos. The resolution is lovely.
This is a fantastic product. I use it to print pictures with a professional look. It is a matte finish paper and the finished product looks so much better on this paper than any other photo paper. I print at home, and it is virtually impossible to distinguish the photos I have printed on this paper from professional processing. I highly recommend this product.
I have an Epson R-380 high definition printer with Claria inks and the best paper that I've found for it is the Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy, which is by far the best photo paper that's I've ever used on that printer. I've also had excellent results with the Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte. It's interesting but I recently tried some Kodak Premium Photo Paper Matte and it might be an excellent paper on another printer, on the Epson, produced extremely small horizontal lines. Barely noticeable but definitely there. With the Epson matte paper, these line completely disappeared and the results were near perfection.
I've had such great results with these papers that I decided to try the Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster and all I can say is that I'm definitely adding it to my papers. I run a small business selling photo prints and cards and use different papers. The finish is determined by the photo. Some just call out for high gloss, while others require a different surface.
The luster finish is sort of a cross between matte and glossy and is similar to the ilford pearl paper but holds the Epson inks a bit better. It's a beautiful surface and is a pleasure to look at. It's actually luxurious.
Between these three Epson papers, I have it all covered. The choice in photo paper makes all the difference in the world to the serious photographer. Not so much if you're just printing snapshots. This review is aimed at those who want professional photo lab results at home.
The Epson R-380 printer as well as these three papers provide the best results. Since I'm actually selling these prints, I'm not as interested in keeping the costs of printing down as I am in the results.
Even a few years ago, who would have thought that this level of excellence was possible with home inkjet printing? I now have a full color photo lab right in my office.
I've used my Epson 890 Printer now for many, many years. I was using Epson High Gloss Paper for my printing needs with great satisfaction. I tried this paper and boy did the picture pop when printed. Such a beautiful blend of colors, and a professional look, you will be truly amazed. I have always used Epson inks and the printer has worked perfectly. I will go into custom settings when printing and set the DPI to 2880. Between the high DPI setting and the Epson Premium Luster Paper I can't go wrong (and neither will you!). For that little "extra something" when it comes to printing your special photos believe me you'll be very happy with this paper.
Good luck!'

American Apparel - hue, pant
If you are familiar with AA products then you know what to expect from these leggings. They feel like thin t-shirt material, which was what I wanted; something thicker than tights but not too hot for spring/summer. I am of medium height, and it was a tiny bit long but nothing noticable. The order/shipping went fine, this dealer sent the real AA stuff so I am satisfied with this purchase overall. American Manufactured Cotton Spandex Jersey Legging - White M
Exactly what I wanted. Very black, to the ankle. I am tall, so finding leggings long enough is usually a challenge.
Also appreciate that these are just the right thickness so I don't feel overexposed during my workout sessions.
Comfort level is excellent as well.
Highly recommend these leggings. Love American Apparel!
I ordered a medium 10 days ago, and got them this morning. I took them straight home and tried them on...and they were absolutely perfect! I'm only 5'3" but the came to the ankle without bunching and didn't go too high, they sat just under my belly button. They're comfortable, and don't leave lines underneath other clothing. I love 'em!
American Apparel cotton/spandex leggings are some of my favorites. Thick enough where they are not transparent but not too thick. Super soft, comfortable, various colors, they have that nice high waist so they don't slide down when bending over or anything. High quality, like that they are made in the U.S. so sweatshop-free and fair wages (despite the fact that Dov Charney, founder of American Apparel seems to be a bit of a pervert)... as a serious yoga practitioner who lives in spandex leggings, I love these because I can wear them teaching all day and then put on a nice long flowing top and boots to go out at night. Highly recommended.
these leggings fit perfectly for my legs!! And they're super comfortable~i'm glad i chose the right size~~they fit so well~~~it's totally worth the money, i wear them every day. The size do run a little large, so it's best to buy a smaller size. The shipping was fast, too! it only took three days, including a weekend! Totally recommend this product~~
These leggings are thick and smooth, perfect for this winter's oversized sweaters, leggings, with boots look. However, they definitely run large. I am 5'9" and 140lbs, and ordered a large for my height. However, I definitely should have ordered a medium, they are quite big for me in the waist/inseam area.
These are the best leggings I have bought. The quality is superior and they seem much more durable/less likely to stretch or rip than the others I've purchased in the past. I'm happy to support American Apparel too!
My two daughters work in these at their jobs, and I think we have ordered about 20 or 25 pairs. Light for the summer, heavy enough for the winter, good quality, plenty of colors. good price, they are hard to find now in the stores. - Long - Tall - Pant - Hue'

Micro Sd Card - cell phone memory, 8gb
I tested the possibility of using my BlackBerry 8310 Curve as my primary mp3 player with an inexpensive Kingston 2GB microSD card. I ran into several issues in the process, but learned how to overcome them.
The Curve limits the file size transfers when they are sent to the phone's storage. This protects the phone from running out of memory. The trick is ensuring you are transferring files to the card instead. If you map drives on your computer, the first available drive is automatically used for the Curve's memory card. At home this is my F drive while at work it is K. If any other device is mapped to that drive, the Curve's memory card will not be recognized.
Additionally, there are settings that may need to be changed to allow music file transfers. Go to "Settings", then "Options" to click on "Media Card." Set "Mass Storage Mode Support" to ON. Also set the "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected" to YES or PROMPT.
Initially to save music, I needed to remove the card from my Curve and transfer files directly from my computer. This is where the adapter, which converts the microSD card to full-sized SD card, comes in handy. After removing the Curve's battery, I simply popped the microSD card into the adapter and used my computer's SD drive. Do not format the card in the Curve, as it will only recognize half the storage space. If you must format, do so on your computer instead. Now that I have everything set up properly, this card does the job without worries.
PROS:
Good price
Reliable card
CONS:
None SanDisk® microSDHCTM 8GB Memory Card
When I received this amazingly small 8 GB Micro SDHC card, I could not believe it! It is so tiny! I am using it for my 8 GB Sansa Fuze to extend the capacity to 16 GB and it works great. I put all of my videos on it and there is no trouble at all. When I plug my Sansa Fuze in with the Micro SDHC in it, it shows up as the external memory. You can choose if you want your items on the internal memory or the external memory. I advise you if you have a regular Micro SD card slot not a Micro SDHC slot, this card will not work! If you have a regular Micro SD slot, you can only put in a 2 GB card or less. With a Micro SDHC slot, you can put in any regular or HC Micro SD card. Overall, this card works excellent to expand memory in any Micro SDHC compatible device.
I bought this micro card for my AT&T 8925 Tilt (HTC TYTN) phone and it works perfectly. I took a chance that the phone would support that size and it does (the AT&T specs list the max capicity as 2GB). I recommend also purchasing an adapter so you can use it as an SD card if you have a digital camera that takes that format. It would have been nice to have that as a package deal as opposed to giving the thumb drive adapter - but it's still a deal even with the few extra dollars for the adapter. If you have the Tilt and want plenty of storage space go ahead and buy this card.
I have a Motorola Q9c Smartphone and was looking for a mini SD card with lots of room on it.This Micro SD card is exactly what i was looking for.All i did was purchase the Mini SD card adaptor so i could put this in my Moto Q9c and it works great. My Q9c recognises almost all 8GB!If you are looking for a mini SD card with plenty of room on it get this one.
This card works brilliantly in my LG enV 2 cell phone. It formatted instantly and I was playing music and shooting photos and video immediately. HOWEVER, the only reader that could explore it was the built-in on my new Dell Notebook. Cards over 4GB require a downloadable fix from MS for older machines to read them. Even so, some card readers still aren't able to decipher the 8GB cards. Well worth the fix to have that much music on my LG enV2.
FWIW, the card I received was a class 4 (the good one).
I bought this here at Amazon for the BlackJack 2 and it totally works. It reads as 7782 disk space which is still cool. I was able to put any files (music, video, etc.) and it was fine. I deleted/transferred multiple times and it was fine. It definitely is the size of my pinky finger or less so be very careful that you don't lose it. I too can't wait for the day when there is a 32gb because I heard that may still work for the Blackjack 2.
I have a Blackberry Curve with the beta version of OS 4.5 and I used this 8GB microSD card and I now have a portable "flash stick" with me all the time. I carry my Blackberry everywhere I go and sometimes when I need to copy a large file, and I forget my 2GB flash stick, I can simply just transfer to my 8GB in my Blackberry. Just remember, this will not work in the Blackberry OS 4.2 - you can only go up to 4GB max. Make sure you upgrade!
I purchased this item for use in my new Env Touch as I wanted to really make use of its media capabilities.
Boy did I choose the right card. It requires no formatting nor setup for me to get it to work in my phone. Simply put it in and you're good to go.
For my PC, though, my card reading hardware doesn't exactly support SDHC cards above 4GBs, but my Env Touch basically doubles as a card reader, which works out nicely seeing as it is recognized in Vista easily.
I used Media Player to quickly sync my music from my PC to my Env Touch (with this card plugged into it) and it seamlessly copied over about 4GB of music in around 10 minutes or so.
So if you're looking for a good-sized MicroSD card, I'd definitely recommend this one. Just make sure you have the proper hardware that supports it or you won't be able to make use of this great, cheap MicroSD card! - Micro Sd Card - Cell Phone Memory - 8gb Sdhc - 8gb'

Hp J5780 Ink Cartridge - hp ink, hewlett-packard
Overall these are good products. I am using them in my HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer. The prices listed on Amazon are not too bad. I've seen the cartridges for as low as $13.00, but $15.00 seems more of the average. However, if your printer can handle them, I'd suggest purchasing the HP 74XL Black Inkjet Print Cartridge which contains roughly three times the ink for roughly twice the cost of these cartridges. The ink capacity for these cartridges is estimated by HP as approx 5 ml of ink versus 18 ml for the XL version. remember to check compatibility first!! HP 74 Black Ink Cartridge (CB335WN#140)
Bought this as an extra print cartridge for my new HP D4260 printer. Was half of the cost of the same cartridge at Staples/OfficeMax. In fact its barely more expensive than third party refills. Just amazing.
I own a HP printer and would not use any other ink than that. I also like buying from Amazon.com since I have never, never been disappointed with my purchase, be it printer ink, DVDs, or books.
Keep up the A1 quality service and merchandise Amazon.com!!!!
I bought two of these cartridges to go with my new printer; the price was right. However; now that I've found out how to do fast draft on my printer, these cartridges still run out of ink fast. I'm a writer/researcher so I go through a lot of copies per week. So, I've ordered the HP 74XL, here's hoping I'll get more copies before I have to change out cartridges!
www.sociosights.com
I have a C4400 Photosmart HP printer, and the cartridge worked the first few times I used it. Then printer gave a message saying cartridge unrecognized and the subsequent prints were shoddy and looked like the ink hadn't dried off properly. I'm still trying to figure out whether it's a problem with the cartridge or the printer. I've used the printer for more than an year without a problem, so my bet is the cartridge is somehow screwed up. - Hp Ink - All-in-one - Inkjet Cartridges - Hewlett-packard'

Digital Coaxial - 25ft, audio cable
I was able to fish this with a bunch of other wires through a 1 inch hole in my rafters. It made the trip just fine and is of a very high quality. I'm using it for the digital out on my television to my stereo receiver and it works and looks great. Great value for the price! Mediabridge Ultra Series - Dual Shielded Subwoofer Cable - RCA to RCA Gold Plated Pro Grade Connectors (35 Feet)
I originally had a Monster brand name subwoofer cable that was only about 12 feet yet costed me somewhere around $50 when I got it years ago. I recently moved to a new place and 12ft was not enough for the new subwoofer placement so I decided to go out on a limb and try this. I am extremely glad that I did. The manufacturer shows a detailed picture of its construction, which is nearly identical to the Monster subwoofer cables out there. Furthermore, I didnt notice one single bit of difference in sound quality between the two. For those of you who may doubt my ears, I have a subwoofer that costed $1,000 so any difference between the cables would be pretty evident. I certainly don't mean to be an audio snob, I just want to point out that this product is quality and I am happy using it with my high end gear. Definitely recommended!
I have always bought Monster Cable products in the past. Not any more. These cables are just as good and a fraction of the price. My new Onkyo 7.1 surround sound system sounds great, no hissing, no hum or feedback of any kind. The Signal to the my HD Plasma via there HDMI cables is also FLAWLESS. I purchased 2 of there Optical Cables for my non HDMI devices, 5 HDMI cables and 1 of there Coax cable for my subwoofer located over 35 feet away in the back of the room! Everything is as advertised. Don't get screwed paying hundreds of dollars to Monster Cable anymore. Mediabridge makes a great product. Thanks!
If you are like me, I am going to try and find the best quality for the money. The cable construction is better than expected. The sound quality is amazing. It actually sounds the same if not a little better than the monster cable I was using previously. There are no delays from receiver,(Onkyo TXSR508),to 12" sub. I highly reccommend this product to anyone.
This was the perfect size. This works great with a Denon AVR-2808CI reciever. Initially, had the subwoofer hooked up with a 6 foot cable. This gave me a good point of reference. Sound was great with the six foot cable. Then I moved the subwoofer to the desired location. I used a both 35 foot 16 gauge cable and then I used a 35 coax cable fitted with an RCA adapter. Bass was considerably lacking. This was frustrating given the time. I ordered the Mediabridge Utra Series pro grad sub woofer 35 foot cable. Installation was a breeze. But more importantly, I gained the bass that I had when compared to the 6 foot cable. Love this product. - 25ft - Audio Cable - Belkin - Audio Cables'

Baby Care - disposable diapers, baby care
I am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market, and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:
1. They are thin, easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.
2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you, like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)
3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.
4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.
5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)
One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom, then Huggies will fit your baby better. This, I believe, explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.
Hope this review was helpful!
I made the huge mistake of buying the baby dry after reading through the reviews. I thought that for the price, why not try them. What a huge mistake! I should have just bought a smaller amount to try them first. Instead we have been using these for over a month now and I have had to clean up a poop spill at least every other day. My baby was 4 months old when we started using these and since she is not eating solids yet, the poop is pretty runny. The baby dry don't absorb the runny poop and it tends to just go right up the back side of the diaper onto her outfit and usually whatever or whoever she is lying on. It's just not worth the money saved! I will only buy the Swaddlers from now on. Hope this helps someone wondering which to buy Swaddlers or Baby Dry, DEFINITELY go with the SWADDLERS!!
It must depend on your child because I tried the cruisers after always using baby dry on my son and they failed us several times. I went right back to baby dry and no more leaks. I have also tried other brands and I loved Huggies for my daughter but they don't work for my son. Funny how each is different. I am a mother of 4 and Luvs worked for my other son. You just go with what works for your child. I also have noticed that they work differently for different ages as well. Good idea to try a few out before you buy the jumbo packs.
Like other reviewers suggested, the size description is wrong. My five month old is about 15 lbs and a perfect size 2, and this size 1-2 is only up to 15 pounds. I'd say it fits up to size 1 1/2 comfortably. Pampers sells a size straight size 2 in smaller packs. Pampers diapers are great; easy to re-strap if you don't do it right the first time. The smell is pleasant, and the design cute sesame street characters. I recommmend, just make sure your baby is just barely out of size 1 to get this size 1-2!
I used to use the more expensive Pampers Cruisers but thought I'd try the Baby-Dry to save some money. I bought a pack at a local store first to make sure the fit and performance was good. I liked them just fine. Nice stretchy tabs, much like the Cruisers. So I ordered from Amazon. I ordered three cases to take advantage of a promotion Amazon was running. But the diapers I received must be old stock, before Pampers put the "flex" stretchy sides on the Baby-Dry diapers. The older expiration dates on the Rewards code confirms this. Maybe they've gotten rid of the old stock; then those newer diapers would rate 4.5 stars. These non-flex diapers barely close to fit my baby whereas the flex ones were plenty big. It irks me that Amazon posts a picture of the "flex" diapers and delivers a different, inferior product.
I love Pamper's Swaddlers. I've tried Huggies and both Pampers brands, and out of all of them Swaddlers are my favorite. That being said, the Baby Dry diapers are terrible. With Swaddlers you can adjust the fit, and the diapers are really soft. Baby Dry diapers feel like they're recycled and and I really dislike the sticky waist straps. They're shorter so you can't adjust the fit as easily, and the waist is always loose--with a boy that's a very bad idea because he tends to get his clothes wet through the TOP of the diaper instead of the sides now. I can't wait until we use these up because I will never buy Baby Dry again.
I have three children in diapers. My oldest is 4 years old and is autistic. We have not been able to potty train him yet.
We tried several brands only to find out that Pampers Baby Dry was always the one we went back to. No question! No leaks! But the cost of our diapers just adds up. Amazon has the absolute cheapest price I have found - in stores or on-line. And free shipping, and I got (...) off with a promotion for baby items over (...) prurchased. I made out! And never had to leave my door! Thanks Amazon! Really! - Baby - Baby Care - Disposable Diapers - Pampers'
