Cell Phone Cases - 4g, samsung
Alright, This is going to be a bit extensive of a review, but its worth it.
First off, this case is THREE pieces, and fits 100% PERFECT.
The top piece that pops on the screen seems to be the same material as the 'active' part on the bottom, just thicker. Its has a nice 'rubberized' feel to it. It doesn't inhibit typing on the screen or clicking buttons. it does, however stick out from the surface about 1mm or so. This is a good thing though (for those not worried about thin cases) If the phone ever falls face first, there is much less of a chance of any contact with the glass. I know the phone has gorilla glass, but it still can be broken and scratched. The top piece easily snaps on (bottom of phone first) and is easily removed (top of phone first)
The bottom of the case consists of TWO pieces. The silicone (i believe) sits inside of the hard 'rubberized' active X part of the case. The silicone part is actually decently thick (not for those who want a thin case) probably about 2mm thick. so it adds a total phone thickness of about 4mm to the width and height and about 3mm (including top and bottom pieces) to the thickness of the phone.
The 'lips' for the bottom to snap on are located on the hard 'active' part of the case. The snap on flawlessly and don't inhibit the slide feature of the keyboard.
The entire case seems to be TOP NOTCH construction, as you will be able to tell by the fitment and feel of the case.
The silicone part on the bottom does seem to attract some extra lint and dust as would be expected.
There are only two negligible 'cons' if you can call them that about this case.. it is pretty thick, but not a problem for me. some people would want a thinner case. the silicone attracts lint and dust and your phone wont look as 'pretty' all the time.
Seems like it is the BEST protective case that will ever be available for the EPIC. Seidio ACTIVE Case for Use with Samsung Epic 4G (Black)
After having used one of the generic cases sold at my local Sprint store for $19 and then discovering that many of Best Buy's selections are disorganized and overpriced, I went online to try and find the best case for my Samsung Epic 4G. All of the reviews and suggestion kept leading me back to this particular case---AND WITH VERY GOOD REASON. For starters, anyone who has this phone knows that it is a much larger phone on average than most others out there...and that requires something above and beyond the ordinary plastic protective cases or an invisible shield-type cover. And due to the fact that the phone is so large, it makes the need to protect it even more pronounced. While the screen itself boasts the outstanding, scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass, the rest of the phone is vulnerable to the ordinary wear-and-tear with use.
With all of the above being said, the Seidio Active X case fits the phone perfectly like a glove. Just as the description indicates, the polymer shield covers the bottom of the phone with a shock-absorbant material that is braced even moreso by the backing brace that snaps into place on top of the polymer shield. Most importantly, the volume, camera, and power buttons are covered by the polymer shield as well with moulded areas that allow them to keep their functionality while remaining completely covered/protected. There is NO OTHER CASE out there (trust me, I have looked high and low) that offers this complete coverage. In addition, the bottom portion has moulded areas that perfectly align with your fingers for gripping. Ergonomically, this case was designed with careful thought. Further, the top portion snaps into place effortlessly as well and the lip of it is somewhat thicker than the standard cases out there to insure even more protection if the phone is dropped. Aesthetically, the phone becomes more substantial and secure with the Seidio case because it completely eliminates the "plastic/fragile" feel of the phone itself, which, for me, was really the only drawback of the phone if there were any.
You might think it is crazy to devote so many lines of text to the review of a mere phone case, but, like most of you, getting this fantastic phone with all its many, many features is just the first step in the process of enjoying it. Making sure that the phone remains both functional and attractive for a long, long time is an essential second step. Even if you use another case as a temporary alternative, do not hesitate to grab the Seidio Active X case. This is THE CASE and the very next purchase you should be making for your Samsung Epic 4G phone. Do not waste your time on the other cases in the Sprint store or at Best Buy.
I first purchased the case that they had at the spring store when I first picked up the phone. That case had openings in the side which made me, with my average hands, push the power button hard enough so the phone started to slide apart. I did not like the phone and thought this was a design flaw. I ordered this case because Amazon had the body glove one with stand out of stock. I had a body glove case just like it for a Samsung instinct s30. I thought the body glove case was nice but thicker than it needed to be though I have not seen it for this phone except in pictures. This seidio case fits well and the back half is a great idea. There is a rubber flexible mold like piece that goes over the back first and then a hard plastic case snaps over the rubber one. It doesn't cover the whole back because the two pieces fit together to leave the button areas exposed so you can press them through the rubber case. It covers the buttons and that is nice because you don't get dirt to build up in the openings. Now all the problems with the phone sliding open when pressing buttons seem to be fixed with this case. I think they did a truly good job with this case.
Pros:
Overall this is a great case. It really does the job well and fits perfect. The phone feels secure in hand. Ive had the case for a few weeks now and have even dropped the phone once from standing height... No damage whatsoever.
Cons:
Top row of number buttons on the slide out keyboard are a little difficult to get to.
Raised lip protects screen but makes wiping dust off slightly more challenging.
When all is said and done this is a great case... probably the best. - 4g - Cell Phone Cases - Samsung - Epic'

Chorine Neutralizer Cleaner - swimsuit shampoo
This product does indeed get rid of the smell of chlorine. My problem isn't with the product but with the pool I do aquasize in. The effects of the chlorine has already done it's damage by the time I climb out of the pool. The product works well to stop the bleaching of your swimsuit and should be used ASAP when you get out of the pool. I bought 4 bottles of this and will undoubtedly buy more when I run out. Shrinky Dinks
My 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son, Had so much fun coloring these in and watching them shrink in the oven.. Then we had fun making the jewlery... The neclaces didn't stay knotted very long, kept falling apart. Still Fun for the kids... I would buy more shrinky dinks in the future.. Shrinky Dinks Friends, Fashion & Fun
I bought this for the neighborhood kids. It was so much fun to watch their little eyes light up while watching the Shrinky Dinks rise in the oven, (put the light on.) Just like I used to do as a kid but they were tiny. Next time I'll look to see if they still make them with larger pieces...'

Project Management - record books, laboratory
I've purchased one of these at the beginning of every year for more than 10 years. I use it for work notes, lists, private commentary, whatever. And I refer back to the previous journals often (moreso as the years go by, it seems). I fondly refer to these as "my brains" and, in a way, they are because writing things down helps fix them in memory. 300 pages is just about right for me for a year of notes and I've never had one of these fall apart or even show much wear, even though I travel a great deal and haul them in and out of briefcases and backpacks. Boorum & Pease Special Laboratory Notebook, Record, 300 Page, Black/Red (L21-300-R)
I have been using these as log books and personal diary for about 20 years, I'd bet. The price just keeps going up and up, but I keep buying them. Exceptional quality, paper is top quality. Very ruggedly bound and the place keeping ribbon NEVER comes out of the binding. Get the 300 page one - it's worth it and you probably won't overfill one book in a year.
i love these notebooks!
the 300 page book is perfect: i buy one each year.
PROS:
1. security pages
2. notary signature and date
CONS:
1. the binding wears down pretty quickly (i have to tape mine after about 7 months of use)

Rachel Mcadams - suspense, thriller
Finally a great adult suspense film about several timely subjects . It 's about the dying newspapers and political corruption.
Russell Crowe is excellent as an overweight ,slightly shabby journalist ,who is flawed personally, but an excellent journalist.
Helen Mirren is good as his stressed boss.Ben Afflek is surprisingly good as his old friend and US congressman. Rachel
McAdams is fine as the new face of the news,a blogger for the newspaper. There is suspense, that grabs you and holds you til the end. I saw it with friends and discussed it through and after dinner. Always a sign of a good movie. How in the world does Crowe manage to be so appealing in messy clothes and overweight? I highly recommend this movie. State of Play
"Guess Ive got that old travlin bone, cause this feelin wont leave me alone.
But I wont, wont be losin my way, no, no
long as I can see the light."
Cleerance Clearwater Revival
No Way, 'State of Play, the BBC miniseries was the best series I have seen since 'Wired'. No Way, was the American version going to be as good. I was right, it is not as good, but Almost!
Russell Crowe as Cal McCaffrey, the old time journalist who works for truth and justice, brings that justice to this film, like no one else could. He makes this film what it is. Rachel McAdams, as the Capitol Hill blogger, is fine in her role, but it could have been anyone. Helen Mirren, as the editor of this fine paper, is ruthless and mean and fine, as is her wont. But, it was Russell Crowe who made this film fascinating. The dirty long hair flowing as he walked and ran down corridors. The paunch from eating all those fast food meals and drinking the Irish wine, Scotch. Yep, this was the real deal, the newsmen of yesteryear.
The aide to Congressman, Stephen Collins, played by Ben Affleck, dies suddenly, an accident or suicide or was it murder? Cal and his newspaper blogger, Dela, start snooping and find that one and one don't make two, it adds up to five. Four murders and an investigation into a security group that hopes to control the world. As time moves on and clues begin to come together and stories unravel, we have a fast paced mystery, here. It is full of suspense and intrigue and just when we think we know who done it, the circle moves. That Russell Crowe, he could be one of the best actors around, you know that?

Man About Town
Based on the BBC mini-series, director Kevin McDonald's "STATE OF PLAY" blends the two most reliable, favorite ingredients of an effective thriller; a political-conspiracy thriller mixed in with a journalism drama with a touch of a murder mystery mixed in. The film's direction can be taut, clean and energetic that plays on the moralities of politics and the responsibility of credible reporting. Kevin McDonald maneuvers the film's script in a meaty web of intrigue and suspense that is nicely acted and honest in its execution.
Cal McAffrey (Russell Crowe) is a seasoned reporter working at a struggling newspaper called "The Washington Globe". When the research assistant (played by Maria Thayer) and lover to a congressman named Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) is killed, her mysterious death provokes a lot of speculation for a high-profile story. Cal has a history with Collins and his wife Anne (Robin Wright Penn), so he is the natural pick to tackle this story. But Cal becomes conflicted with what story he wants to tell the longer he digs for the truth; which leads him to team up with a young inexperienced reporter named Della Frye (Rachel McAdams) to sort out the mystery full of political intrigue to avoid further bloodshed and uncover the real story behind all the rumors and deceptions. Cal now finds himself face to face with his own `crisis of conscience' as his own proven investigative skills may not coincide with the needs for profit and that the real story may alienate his own friends.
"State of Play" is a thriller that tries to keep its toes by mixing in elements of a political thriller that touches on some real world events after the tragedy of 9/11 and the responsibilities of credible fact-finding. The script by Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton), Matthew Carnahan (The Kingdom) and Billy Ray has its share of good dialogue delivered by characters that has some layers and dimensions that proved interesting. Cal represents the old-school style of reporting; he checks his facts, looks for credible sources and ignores the unnecessary hidden stories. His dislike on young inexperienced blogger Della comes absolutely natural. Cal sees her as the spoiled reporter who may write appealing articles who happen to have a better computer and a better office. The two are representations of the signs of the times and the internet phenomenon. It was also nice to see the script avoid the trappings of a perfunctory romance between the two reporters but instead director McDonald uses a sort of a mentor-student type of relationship between the two after they realize that they are both after the same thing.
The film's political side comes from the character of Stephen Collins who may have the best interests of the country at heart, although he made some mistakes on some decisions such as bedding his own research assistant. The screenplay is a little cautious, but it does point an accusing finger at certain corporations who make huge profit from a war. Apparently the privatization of soldiers in the war against terror is one profitable industry, and these soldiers are just mercenaries answerable to no one. The moral responsibilities of fighting a war are touched upon as well as maintaining the image of a clean public figure. Smear campaigns, damaging rumors and speculations are used to manipulate Congress to satisfy the needs of big corporate America.
Director McDonald does get the atmosphere and the fast-paced feel of a newspaper right. I liked the old-school `press room' with the editor looking above the reporters. McDonald is to be commended that he remembered to bring such late night hurdles into exposition; although frankly, the stereotypical character of Cal's editor in the person of Helen Mirren should've been abandoned. Mirren does a good performance as Cal's impatient and overly cautious editor, but her character has been overused in other films in this genre. The shady, corrupt politician in the person of Jeff Daniels has also been done to death. I also have issues with the age factor between Cal and Collins; Affleck and Crowe just don't fit as former college buddies. Affleck is decent as the congressman but Crowe just looked so much older than him, I couldn't really buy into the idea that they're the same age. The relationship between Cal and Anne isn't really brought into fruition; quite frankly, it felt a little forced to add some spice to the screenplay.
The manner of which the plot unravels is full of various storylines that come to a satisfying ending but some elements feel unnecessary. The script should have been more compact and some scenes dragged a little bit. It doesn't really hurt the film but Jason Bateman's scenes should have been more efficiently played out. It also seemed to try too hard on satisfying its audience in both the cerebral conspiracy thriller fan base and the action junkies; it does work on some levels but I thought the script may have had the fear of becoming too talkie that it needed to bring some gunplay into the mix. Some of the scenes just didn't match the film's tone at times.
"State of Play" does have some nice touches such as an old-fashioned workhorse in the face of "blogger-space", it explores the morals of profit gain and the responsibilities of public officials; the problem is, sometimes, it just felt that the film didn't have confidence enough to stay within the realms of a journalistic drama. It tries to be too complex just for the sake of becoming complex, that it felt like it threw too many ideas that slowed the film's pace. It does feel predictable in the middle of the film, but I did appreciate the effort in delivering a credible thriller. It does deliver the goods and the effective revelations do hit the right spots.
Recommended! [3 ½ Stars]
Video/Audio: 2.35 ratio anamorphic widescreen. The picture looks pristine even when the colors looked a little restrained. The quality of the picture matches the film's tone. The 5.1 Dolby Digital track is clear enough and well channeled. - Ben Affleck - Conspiracy - Thriller - Suspense'

hole punch - hole punch
This punch has a good weight and performs as expected. I can't seem to get more that 3 sheets of paper to punch cleaning at one time. So if your job consists of lots of pages, maybe a more heavy duty version would be a better choice. Swingline Work Essentials Brand 3-Hole Adjustable Paper Punch, Black (S7071739)
I needed this so I could keep all my avon invoices in a binder all together and I was VERY disappointed that the holes punched don't line up with the rings on my binder! I'm not sure how that even happens! I have to pull the paper down and essentially rip the top two holes slightly so that it will make it into bottom hole! I am giving it 3 starts since it does punch the holes well, I have been able to do about 10 sheets BUT you have to punch it a few times in a row to make sure it went through all the way around. Red Alapaca Blanket - red, throw
When I received this blanket and opened it, I was immediately disappointed. It was so thin I thought I could punch through the material and there was no way it would be warm. I was SOOOOO WRONG!. This is the softest, warmest, lightest blanket I have ever touched. WELL worth the money. It has become the family favorite blanket. Now I have to fight for my turn with it on the couch. Must have MORE. I was worried that the price was to high for a blanket so I shopped around. For the size and the quality of the blanket this is a VERY good price. I recommend this blanket to anyone! AAA Extra 40% Off Soft 100% Alpaca Wool Reversible Throw Blanket Vibrant Muted Ochre Color Black Features
Pay attention to the "muted ochre" brown/black description, which is correct, rather than the title description which states "reversible throw blanket soft brown earth tone cream". There is no cream color in this blanket whatsoever. The colors are muted and certainly not "vibrant." When it states "reversible" it means it reverses to the same on the other side - it's woven. The title suggested to me that it reversed from the soft brown earth tone on one side to a cream color on the other side. It does not. Also note that the edges are not hemmed, they're stitched. If you need to return the blanket, the company does not refund the original postage and charges a 10% restocking fee. I am returning nonetheless as it does not work for the space intended. Also be forewarned that when you request return information from the company you will receive a snippy, poorly worded response, nothing that would encourage return business. Had the response been a bit more courteous, I may have considered placing another order for a different throw that would have better met my needs. Based on their response, I can assure them they will not be getting any further orders from me.
I love love LOVE my Alpaca blanket. These are quality blankets that are soft and warm and they breathe!
And they are so beautiful.
I had a down comforter but the feathers got everywhere. I was considering wool but it's so itchy and expensive.
It's true once you buy one of these you'll want more. I'll be ordering a couple more to have around for winter.
Cannot recommend these blankets enough. - Alpaca - Red - Blanket - Throw'

Skeleton Automatic - dress watches, kenneth cole
As of May 2009, I've owned this watch for a month, and I'll be interested to see how well this watch holds up over the years. It cost me around 100 bucks, and at that price, I don't expect perfection, but I'm hoping if I take care of it that it might last a decade. It certainly looks like it is of solid construction.
I spent two weeks researching skeleton watches on Amazon and other sites, and this watch stood out as being stylish and refined without being too expensive or too large, as others can be. Some other models have 2 or 3 extra dials for date, hours and minutes, but I really focused on enjoying the cleanest display of the inner workings, and this watch rose above the rest.
The outer number face is a handsome, brushed ring that looks elegant and manly, and leaves lots of room to enjoy viewing of the inner works. Unclear in the pictures, the backside of this case is glass, so you can see all the way through, which really pleased me. The front viewable works is 31/32", and the back is 3/4". I was very pleased with it's size, very similar to digital watches, just shy of 1 5/8" diameter.
The band is a wonderfully soft leather padded affair, even though my experience with leather is that it doesn't age well and ends up odorous no matter how careful you are with it. Yet it really does fit the overall look and I may begin a new policy to replace it exactly when it does expire.
It seems that the automatic winding works very well if you wear it continually. If you take it off you have about 40 hours before the spring unwinds, but you can't expect any more from mechanical movements.
My only criticism is that the Kenneth Cole signature is printed on the glass front, slightly obscuring the spring winding. It just ever so slightly blemishes the perfection of the face.
For me it's the perfect watch, a wonderful fit for dressier occasions, without being overly precious. The gunmetal face is wonderfully masculine and understated, while the movement is shiny and captivating, with one gold wheel drawing your eye with its accelerated movement.
An exceptional watch that perfectly bridges the gap between casual and dressy. I look forward to re-reviewing this watch in a year to see if it holds up to my expectations. I sincerely hope that it does. Kenneth Cole New York Men's KC1514 Automatic Gunmetal Dial Leather Strap Watch
I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves skeleton watches so I search every store and all over the internet, everytime I saw this watch I had to stare at it. Especially when it arived it took me forever to wrap it because I couldn't take my eyes off it! He loves it. He was really impressed with it and gushes over it everytime he shows his buddies. I highly recommend this watch, and for this price, its a steal.
Got one as a Christmas present. Fully wound it and wore it but it intermittently stopped & lost ~30 minutes a day. Took it back to the store for a replacement, ran fine at the store but then the second hand ran but the hour/minute hands didn't. Got my money back. I liked the looks of the watch.
I like the style of this "skeleton" watch quite a bit. It's simple and to the point functionally but getting to see the inner workings is definitely eye candy for a guy. Unfortunately, this watch has several severe faults that have made me question my purchase.
First, this is listed as an automatic movement watch, but that's being a bit generous. Though it does have a pendulum power generator mechanism in it, you cannot expect it to power the watch for very long. Essentially think of this watch as a mechanical watch. If you let it sit unworn for more than 24 hours, the power runs out and you have to set the watch again. This, thankfully, is a simple and quick process, but it's annoying to have taken it off the day before and find that 36 hours later the watch has completely stopped for lack of power. While you wear it, it will continue to work fine, though, so that aspect of automatic is acceptable. My Seiko, though, will run for months on stored power from a single day's wear, and it cost about as much as this watch. Fortunately, you can wind the stem (10-15 times) to get it going right away rather than having to shake the watch around for a while to generate power.
Next, as one other reviewer mentioned, "Kenneth Cole" is emblazoned in white script letters on the face of the watch. It is over the skeletal area, so it's not as obvious to a casual glance, but upon looking at the watch and admiring it, it's very poorly placed and way too large to the point of obstructing the view of the mechanicals. Somewhat defeats the purpose of having a skeletal watch.
Lastly, and this is the only one that can be fixed, the included black band is very short. My wrists are not particularly large, and most metal bands require 2-3 links to be removed for me to wear it. This band, though, requires me to wear it on the very last hole and even then it's a bit too tight/uncomfortable for me. Fortunately bands can be replaced. I just have to go through the trouble of finding one to replace this one with. I'm not sure why they put a ladies' length band on a men's watch (I'm guessing).
This is a light, inexpensive, and mostly functional watch that will go well with a lot of outfits, both dress and casual. I just wish they had put a little more effort into the execution.
Just got this watch and really enjoy it. I paid $100 at Macy's for it even at 25% off so the deal here is good. The skeleton workings are very neat to look at- there is a gold gear on the bottom that turns perpetually and the workings on the back are also visible. If I had to do it over again I may have opted for one of the identical models but with a larger face to make more of an impact, but that's probably personal preference. It should also be noted that the Kenneth Cole name and "New York" are printed on the glass face in black which is not directly in the way of anything on the watch but do distact the eye briefly. In response to the comment that said he had 2 that were broken out of the box even after he wound it: This is not a wind up watch but rather operates on movement therefore he either has a different watch or may have damaged in his attempt to wind it. Another customer noted the roman numeral IIII instead of IV. The "4" does appear as IIII, however this is common for watches and clocks. Arguments suggest that it gives the numerals greater balance, mirroring the VIII on the other side while some other's say it's a throwback to earlier Roman numbering, but you can look that up with a google search. - Automatic Movement - Skeleton Automatic - Kenneth Cole - Dress Watches'
