Craft Kits - shrinky dinks, craft sets

I purchased this for my 4 and 5 year old daughters and they love it! There were enough shrinky dinks to keep them coloring for 3 days with the included, and excellent quality Faber-Castell colored pencils. Yes, there's even a sharpener in the box! The best part, no scissors or trimming required and all the pieces had pre-punched holes where needed. The included glossy, heavy paper fairy tree is excellent quality and amazingly sturdy. Again, the pre-punched holes and included adhesive made assemble a cinch. Glitter glue and gems were a nice addition for adding sparkle.

After the tree was assembled and the shrinky dinks colored and shrunk, assembling the fairies and decorating the tree was easy. The kids were able to attach the stands and wings themselves and I only had to help with jump rings and adhesive dots. Two days after the "crafting" part of this product has been over, the kids are still constantly playing with this toy and including "pocket" princess dolls in on the fun. A wonderful, imaginative toy that's fun to build and play with for kids.

The best part as a parent, everything's included! In addition to this product, you'll just need an oven (toaster oven works!), baking sheet and aluminum foil. That's it. Excellent value for the price as there really is a lot in the box! I'm definitely looking for another product by this company! Creativity For Kids Shrinky Dinks Fairy Garden

I bought this set for my daughter's 4th birthday. She had never done shrinky dinks before and absolutely LOVED them! I had no idea when I purchased this set that it would be so incredibly neat. The background fairy tree and supplies that come with it for hanging and sticking the shrinky dinks all over it is very sturdy and it looks really pretty! This is something that she will have displayed in her room for a long time. I absolutely recommend this product.

I remembered Shrinky Dinks from when I was a kid and thought my 5 year old daughter might enjoy them as well. I was right. She loved spending time working on this. She really enjoyed coloring them and then watching them shrink. She also enjoyed figuring out where to place them on the tree. It was a great project for us to work on together. I just purchased the Halloween one. Highly recommend this!

I purchased this item for my 5-year-old after she did Shrinky Dinks at a friends' house. It took a few hours to color and bake the items, and then put together the garden and attach all the items to the garden. But we did it together and she had a blast, and the fairy garden is still on display in her room months later. This would be an excellent gift for girls 4 and over. As a kid I never did Shrinky Dinks, so I had fun as well!

This was a gift for my nieces. They are very fond of anything "fairy" related. I played with Shrinky Dinks when I was a child and thought they would enjoy it, especially the fairy motif. I've been told that they are having a lot of fun with it.

We just had our five-and-a-half-year-old niece stay the night with us for the first time, and I picked up a few different activities for us to do with her while she was with us. This was far and away her favorite! She had never done Shrinky Dinks before (my husband and I loved them when we were kids, and I wasn't even sure that they still made them!), and she loved the experience.

The box contains over 50 Shrinky Dink pieces, and most are a pretty large size so there are plenty of pieces to color. Our niece Clementine preferred to color them in batches, and then we'd bake them. She was fascinated with watching them shrink! Once the Shrinky Dinks are finished baking, there are more activities to do with them: you can add fairy wings, add glitter glue, stick pieces onto the tree with stickers or small jump rings, and prop up pieces with small stands. While we did have to help her with a few things, overall, she was able to do most of it herself.

Even after spending several hours in the evening and next morning playing with this, I think we only worked our way through about half of the pieces, so it's really a great activity for little ones.

The only downside is that it only came with a few colored pencils. We had these on hand RoseArt Colored Pencils, 50-Count (287VA-24) and so we ended up using them so we had more variety.

Overall, super fun for this age group! - Shrinky Dinks - Craft Sets - Kid Crafts'

Lead - pencil, lead

I bought one of these from OfficeMax just to try it out, thought what the heck.

But it is great. The auto advance works great and I find that when I pick up my pencil to move the next word I don't leave little tails, and I LOVE the fact that not only do you not have to click-advance, YOU CANT.

It is refillable by unscrewing the eraser. Very cool to have a *actual* eraser on the end.

I would buy again and again. Dixon Ticonderoga 99995 Dixon Ticonderoga SenseMatic Plus Mechanical Pencil, #2, 0.7 mm, SR, 5/Pk

This pencil automatically extends the lead by itself. You do not need to click any buttons or rotate a mechanism to extent the lead.

I bought a lifetime supply of this model and its sibling product the "20000" model (that looks like a common pencil) because the manufacturer has discontinued them...too bad. However, I think my small supply may outlast me.

If taken care of, it'll be a very reliable mechanical pencil. Although the tip is durable, it can be damaged that renders it useless. So you need to protect the tip. I recommend covering it with an ink pen cover if storing it in a pack-pack, purse, and such. If storing it in a cup (like many people do), keep the tip upwards. Pressing too hard may damage the tip too. And don't use your finger to play with the tip.

Start with easy pressure so you'll get used to the way it writes and appreciate how it works. It uses normal leads used by all mechanical pencils. One lead has already lasted about fifty pages for me and has not ran-out.

It's perfect for practicing mathematics, the sciences, and even general purpose writing. The one lead will easily outlast the eraser, so plan on getting erasers that fit over the top because the existing eraser cannot be replaced.

I really like this pencil.

I love this pencil. The eraser is top of the line, and the pencil provided a lot of resistance. It functioned perfectly until about 3 days of use. The resistance started to lower, and eventually the graphite just pushed back into the barrel of the pencil when you tried to write.

I would love to buy the pencil again if they improve it, because the concept is really great.

Pros:

No clicking/twisting/shaking

No chance of breaking lead unless you drop the pencil

Very cost effective, about the same as the bulk pack "black sticks" standard cheapo mechanical pencil but lasts many times longer

New models are refillable, a much needed improvement over the old models

Cons:

Leads may not advance out far enough for some people's taste

Still classified as a "disposable"

This is a great pencil I have used for over 12 years. It is very reliable, quick, no nonsense pencil that should have replaced woods a long time ago.

I bought this product and it came in a little over 3 days. Everything came in pristine condition, the packaging the pencils came in wasn't opened and everything that it was supposed to include was included. I love these pencils because you dont have to click, twist, or shake the pencil for lead to come out and the pencil works while also letting almost no lead come out so it is almost impossible to break the lead. This pencil automatically advances the lead while you write. This works because there is a little black tip insert that the lead comes out of that can be pushed in and when the lead runs out, the surface you are writng on pushes the black tip inward which makes more lead advance forward. The eraser lasts a long time and erases almost all pencil marks comletely without smearing.

These were used frequently for a class. Two of them were completely useless within a week. The lead will not come out of the others - it has to be pulled out from the tip if they are to be used. Also, unlike other mechanical pencils, only three lengths of lead will fit into the pencil. It is a great concept and I hope someone figures out how to make it work, but as of now, save your money and keep clicking the lead out yourself.

This is a great pencil. It feels like a regular ticonderoga pencil I grew up writing with but it has the reliability, precision and consistency of a mechanical pencil.

works perfectly too. the automatic lead feed is very very good. - Pencil - Lead - Mechanical Pencils'

Wire Organizer - wire concealer, cable management

Wiremold has been around for years - although some electricans do use it in special situations, it is really intended for the homeowner to hide and mount cables on the wall (as opposed to in the wall like an electrician would) at a low cost for neatness (see my photo).

This product is the newer revision of the CMK210 which started out the flat screen/computer monitor/tv on wall mounting as it has enough channel space to hold 3 cables (TV, a/c power, computer e.g. HDMI) on the wall and still shut - internal dimentions of 7/8" x 3/8" accommodate most computer cables except those with RFI filters on them.

An alternative to the CMK50 is the CMK210 which has more joint pieces, like the T which I used for the AC plug to exit the wiremold and go into the outlet. Dimentionally, also the CMK210 gives you 3x4' pieces or 12 feet of channel while the CMK50 gives you 4x30 inches or 120 inches = 10 feet of channel, so you get some extra fittings and extra channel length in the cmk210. The amazon description of the cmk210 is off in that it gives a 1.2 x 2" channel size, in actuality the 210 and the 50 are almost identical in that they will hold 3 average size wires.

Another alternative for people who need more than 3 wires to their a/v on wall set is the cmk-30 which is a wide channel designed to hold many a/v cables between say an a/v rack and a wall mounted tv set.

Cautions for use:

The adhesive is really powerful once you peal the waxed paper - you have about 5 seconds before it's permanent on your painted surface, so a helper to hold a level plumb for vertical runs is nice to have. Also keep in mind that if you are running horizontally along the baseboard, while it may seem ideal to touch the baseboard, you need room for the joint clips which go over the outside - you can make a shim or you can just use the joint clips along the piece you are sticking to the wall to esure that there exists a gap sufficient to hold the various pieces between the wiremold ouside and the baseboard. These are not printed in the instructions, but having worked with their product now several times I found that you need to provide space for the clips or else you end up notching the baseboard or else breaking part of the clip that interferes and gluing it to the wiremold.

There is no hinge except the flexibility of the plastic, so don't plan to be opening/closing these channels often - they have a J hook that clips into a bead on the thin (3/8") side so closing is easy, just get it started and then run your fingers down the strip pressing it into the clip. Keep in mind if you ever plan to open this up, don't point the j-hook seam into the ground or a wall corner - point it up or into the room for access at a later date as things change. Opening it is somewhat tougher in that you have to undo the j hook by compressing the wiremold at one end, get a screwdriver or other instrument (putty knives work well) into the channel and separate it, working your way down the channel.

I can not overemphasize the importance of measure twice cut once - remember you get 4 30" pieces in this kit - if you cut carefully and strategically you will be able to use the waste piece in part of the run like around corners.

Once finished they can be painted but be sure not to get paint into the J-hook closure along the side because you will seal the channel (unless you want to seal it permanently then paint away!). Personally, I don't mind the white color but it is really your preference as to paint the surface or not.

Wiremold also sells the other fittings as separate parts, for example this kit does not include the T connector which is a great way to escape the wiremold channel neatly - as opposed to drilling holes in it which would look messy (I do drill a v notch on the back (sticky) side when I have a wire that has been run through the wall and is entering the wiremold, but I found that the best places to enter or exit are where there is a fitting such as a corner fitting which gives you more room than the channel does, especially in the -210 version.

So to sum it up -

For power/speaker cable, you get 10 feet with this kit the cmk-50 plus corner elbows

For wide channel with multiple (5+) cables you can use the cmk-30 a/v specialty

for a little longer system with more fittings and 2 extra feet the cmk-210 is almost identical to the cmk-50 (this one) but has the T connector, and on wall left/right fittings.

Do a little smart shopping with your measuring tape and read the product descriptions for wiremold products - they have been doing this for 2 decades+ now and have the method down for manufacturing. If you ensure the surface is free of dust and oil before sticking it it will hold as long as the wall is there but before pealing off the wax paper, mock up your entry and exit points with the provided clips and elbows so that you know where you need a tad extra gap for the fittings. I cut mine with a miter saw Hitachi C10FCE2 10-Inch Compound Miter Saw but you always make square cuts, so that's overkill - a hand hacksaw will work fine as will a sawzall, but using the high speed blade on the miter saw gives professional square cuts by slowly moving the blade through the channel, chipping small pieces. The only risk using power tools during cutting can crack the opposing side of the channel's plastic which I did trying to cut too fast- if you crack it, it mends well with shipping tape like amazon uses on the boxes they ship to you (clear).

Good luck with you neat cable project - patience, and measurement will ensure a perfect job when done. You will stand back and say it looks 1000 times better than the clutter of cables you had before. Wiremold CMK50 CordMate II Computer and Home Entertainment Cord Cover Kit, White

This was exactly what I was looking for.

I have a TV on top of a corner fireplace, and needed a way to hide speaker wires that dangled off of both ends. The installation is easy, and the double stick tape on the back of the channels is really strong. There is a way to open the channel after you install it in case you want to add or remove wires, and supposedly you can paint it to better match, though I left mine plain white.

If you're looking to run some wires to avoid them dangling loosely this product works really well. - Cable - Cable Organizer - Cable Management - Wire Concealer'

Soundbar

I had initially bought an LG sound bar and had experienced some things that I was not a big fan of (sound cutting out during quiet transitions). I bought this one because 1. it was Panasonic and would match my TV, and 2. it would use the ARC HDMI channel from my television and it would share the remote via Viera Link, 3. does not have the intrusive display that the LG had (always displayed input on a LED screen on the front). So far I am very happy, unlike the LG that was hooked up via optical the sound bar automatically turns on and off with my TV. I never have to change inputs on the sound bar because my TV is basically acting as a HDMI receiver. I will modify this review if my opinion changes, as far as sound quality and functionality goes. I will say that the sub is better than the one I had with the LG. Unlinke the other reviewer, I had no issues with the wireless subwoofer. Works great so far, and would definitely recommend. Panasonic SC-HTB520 2.1-Channel SoundBar Speaker System with Wireless Kelton Subwoofer

I'm from Spain and I've been following this soundbar from the presentation in January at the CES Las Vegas. I bought this soundbar for a month and I can only say that it is a great buy. I have a Sony 46HX800 and size of the sound bar is perfect for 46 inch and also share a similar design. I have no complaints about the subwoofer, works perfect. And with HDMI 1.4, you can control the sound with the TV remote with no problems. The dialogues sound very clear and the music is also very good. The DTS sound is incredible and the music in this format is impressive.

I looked around at many sound bars in the 250 to 400 price range. Many if not all were weak on sound or looked cheap. The Panasonic looks very "rich" and stylish while giving a very good sound. Dialogue is outstanding and man is there plenty of bass. If you have a Panasonic Tv this is the only way to go and it matches up with the look of the Tv perfect. all in all this is a best buy for 350 bucks!!!

I bought this after being greatly disappointed with the built in sound quality of my new Panasonic VIERA TC-P65GT30 65-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV. It makes all the difference in the world. Easy to unbox and set up. A single HDMI cable to my HMDI/ARC port on the TV takes care of sound for all attached devices inclluding a Blu-Ray player and the cable box - it all pipes through the TV and out to the sound system from the TV connection. I placed the wireless subwoofer behind the TV stand in a corner out of site - very nice. With the Panasonic Viera Link capability in my TV, DVD Player and this sound system, I can use either the TV Remote or the DVD remote to power the TV and sound system on and off automatically and control the volume.

This system comes with a small remote control but it's only needed if you want to adjust the subwoofer - otherwise, you can put it away (if you have other Panasonic devices like the TV) and use the remotes from them. The only issue was I tried to place the soundbar on the TV stand directly under the TV and it blocked the TV's remote control IR port. I then moved it down on the shelf underneath and my other devices were stacked high enough that their remotes work fine. Looks and works just fine there. It comes with brackets to mount it on the wall it appears although I did not use them. I instead used the other brackets which make it stand more firmly and not fall over.

I recently purchased a Panasonic Viera 50in. 3DTV and wanted simple, good sounding speaker. Instead of going with a 5 plus channel full theater window shattering system, I decided to go with a 2 channel soundbar. After looking at what was available I went with the Panasonic SC-HTB520. The SC-HTB520 does replace the Panasonic SC-HTB500, I am not sure what the differences are between the two, price? features, sound? Any how the set up is easy, I did have to use both the optical and HDMI connects. The subwoofer is wireless, and did link up right away. The subwoofer does need to be plugged into an 110v outlet to power it. The overall sound is very good. Although there is no custom sound control, even through the t.v. menu, it does have adjustable subwoofer level, for more or less "punch" and 3 levels of Dolby/surround and does seem to have enough power on its own to produce a decent "thunderous" floor shaking rumble without distorting. It is a 2 channel system. The price is right on with others while quality/looks does seem better than most.

I purchased this item on 07/28/2011 to improve the sound of my recently acquired (from Amazon.com) 47" Toshiba 3D LED-LCD TV. The internal TV speakers by themselves are inadequate. Both the soundbar and subwoofer work like a charm - what a difference in overall sound quality! The soundbar system also looks "great" and perfectly matches my television. Installation was "extremely" simple just a single HDMI cable is needed to make the connection between the speakers and the HDMI/ARC on the TV. Then plug the soundbar speakers and the wireless subwoofer into AC outlets and you're good to go. I did not need any of the provided mounting hardware for the soundbar since I have an already existing shelf (came with the house) directly above my television: I simply placed the soundbar on this shelf. The subwoofer stands about 6-7 feet to the left of the front of my TV (same wall) and it links up with the speakers/soundbar right away when turned on (visible green light). Although I do not have a Panasonic TV (and thus officially no Viera link), my Toshiba TV remote also does directly control the volume of the soundbar and the on/off functionality of the sound system, because it is recognized as a HDMI CEC compliant device by my television. I have no directly visible on-screen indication of the overall sound level/volume (30%, 50%, 70%, etc.), but then who really needs this anyway? Let your ears be your guide! Note that visible green lights do flash sequentially on top of the speakers whenever the volume is turned up or down. The only thing that I need the provided Panasonic remote for is to control the volume of the subwoofer which can be done independently of the soundbar itself.'

Phillips Bit

I tried to use these for an impact driver and they are too soft. Drove 6 screws then was toast.

THEY MIGHT have uses for a regular drill or screwdriver combo pack or something. I think not, but that is why I am not giving them 1 star. They don't cost a lot, so maybe someone else will fill us in later.

But for impact driver use.... no way. 5pc Power Bit Set #1 Phillips Chrome Vanadium Lifetime Warranty'

Mac Mini Desktops - apple, mac

The Mac Mini was released in January 2005 at Mac World, and was then updated, for the first time, in July 2005. This Mac Mini is the result of that update.

Improvements - The $599 Mac Mini now sports 512 MB of DDR SDRAM, which is twice the memory the original Mac Mini included. This is a significant upgrade. The majority of users can now buy, out of the box, a machine that performs beautifully and allows a fair amount of multi-tasking. The Mac operating system, Mac OS X Tiger, thrives on memory, and 512 MB helps to create a speedy experience, for users.

Bluetooth - Bluetooth is a great wireless technology that Apple heavily backs, and it is included with this Mac Mini, an addition, from the original Mac Minis, when bluetooth was an optional add-on, at Apple.com, for $50 more. Purchase a bluetooth keyboard or bluetooth mouse, and they will work wirelessly, with your Mac Mini. It makes for a very clean and uncluttered desktop. There are also many mobile phones and PDAs, which utilize bluetooth technology, which you can sync to your mac using isync, included with Mac Mini.

Airport Extreme - This is the wireless networking card now included with the $599 Mac Mini, after being a $70+ upgrade at Apple.com, on the previous model. Do you have a wireless-b or wireless-g network in your home? If so, the Mac Mini will be able to connect to it, without problem. Again, making the computing experience simpler and less tangled.

The Good Things that Continue to Shine with Mac Mini - A buyer of the Mac Mini will continue to enjoy Mac OS X Tiger, which is the best consumer operating system in the world. It works with the hardware beautifully to provide a simple, fast, elegant, and reliable experience. One of the favorite descriptions of Mac fans, to describe Macs, is simply, "it just works."

The Mac Mini continues to include iLife '05, with great applications such as iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, iTunes, and Garageband. These are all included, with every Mac Mini. You will be challenged to find any PC that includes applications that come anywhere close to the iLife suite. Manage thousands of your digital images in iPhoto, create home movies in iMovie, and create professional music in Garageband.

Appleworks is included for simply word processing, spreadsheets, etc., but you might want to pick up Microsoft Office for Mac. A student/teacher edition is available, for just over $100.

Speed - The 1.42 GHZ PowerPC G4 processor makes the Mac Mini a very capable machine. This will satisfy the horsepower needed to complete tasks in the iLife suite, included with your Mac Mini.

Hard Drive - 80 GB is a significant-sized hard drive, so you will be able to store thousands of photos and songs.

ComboDrive - The Apple Combo Drive allows you to burn music and data CDs, plus you can watch DVDs!

Drawbacks? The $599 version of the Mac Mini no longer includes a modem, if you want this version of the Mac Mini with a modem, you will have to custom-order it at Apple.com. However, the ethernet port is included on the back, to plug into a DSL or cable modem, plus you have the Airport Extreme, for wireless connections. However, if you don't have broadband, you'll need a modem for dial-up, so you will either need to order a custom-built Mac Mini at Apple.com, or buy the stock $499 model, which includes a modem, but lacks the wireless components.

Overall, Apple has created another fantastic product, with the Mac Mini, and the July 2005 update only made it better. You get more memory, plus wireless connectivity via bluetooth and airport extreme. This Mac Mini really includes everything the average user needs to enjoy the internet, manage his or her digital life, and have fun doing it all. Apple Mac mini M9687LL/B (1.42 GHz PowerPC G4, 512 MB DDR SDRAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD-RW Drive)

This computer is great it works with out constant problems like a Windows PC. If Mac actully supported games I would buy a high end G5 and chuck my Dell XPS right out the window, and the Dell has been great. ANY Mac is highly recommened UNLESS you play games. This computer is also completely silent unless a CD is in the drive.

A lot of the reason I am so pleased with the Mac Mini has to do with Amazon.com. Great customer service, price, shipping. Buying this from the Apple store would have cost me $150 more. Now, about the computer-

First off, I was shipped a unit with upgraded Processor (1.5ghz) and Video. Also the Superdrive is dual layer, not single although I haven't been able to see if it works as a DL. So I'm pretty pleased that I have an upgrade right off the bat.

The slogan says BYODKM, so I'll tell you how I have it set up. Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse and the display is a 50' plasma TV. This is a really cool setup for my kids, playing educational games.

About 2 days after the unit was delivered, Apple released the new Intel version of the Mini. Initially I was disappointed, but after looking at the new specs I realized I had bought the better PPC version. The Intel version shares video with the 512 main memory and has no dedicated chipset seperate.

The positives are: Small form factor, great performance, price. You just can't beat OS X in terms of reliability. I will not miss being a system administrator on my wife's dell, constantly scanning and removing malware. Price-Got mine with a superdrive for $630 shipped.

Negatives: Memory. Although units shipping now have a standard 512k, I really think I'll need to upgrade to at least 1mb. Also, after having been a Powerbook user, there is a perceptable difference in the build quality. Not bad mind you, but not quite up to par with the Powerbooks.

Overall, a great machine if you already have your keyboard/mouse/display. If not, the new imac is a much better value. Why only 4 instead of 5 stars? Well, the superdrive seems to only want to burn at 2X, not the 8X as advertised. Apple has nothing to remedy this issue yet, but will probably issue a firmware upgrade sometime.

So my advice is to take the plunge and switch over to OS X, you'll be very happy you did. - Mac - Mac Mini Desktops - Apple - Macintosh'

Propane Fire Pit

This product has been nothing but trouble for me. After I put it together it did not work. Called the company and they sent me another regulator. (Waited 7 days) Installed the new regulator and still does not work. Called the company again. Now they are sending a new control valve (Another 7 days) What a pile of junk!

And I have just now received the new gas valve and the unit still DOES NOT WORK. Even though they have big letters on the manual instructing people to call them, they now say there is nothing they can do and told me I have to call Amazon for a refund. I called Amazon and they gave me a return slip right away. First time I have ever had to return something to Amazon so I guess we shall see how this one goes. Don't ever buy this poorly constructed pile of garbage with no support from the manufacturer. Uniflame GAD1001B LP Gas Outdoor Firebowl with Tile Mantel

This product is a piece of junk. When we opened the box to remove the firebowl two of the tiles had fallen out and most of the grout between the tiles had already fallen out. But this was just the beginning. The holes to attach the legs hadn't been cut in the right place so the legs would not fit rendering the entire product useless. Do not waste your money on this product!!

We were looking for a gas fire pit for our backyard rather than a wood burning one which might bother our neighbors with smoke or wood burning smell. We found this one and couldn't be happier! It's perfect to sit around. We can still roast marshmallows for Smores. We don't have to deal with storing wood, smoke and ashes. The tile edge doesn't get hot. This fire pit connects to a large propane tank, unlike some others that only took the small propane cylinder tanks, which don't last long. Overall we love it and spending time sitting around it as a family in our own yard can't be beat! You won't be disappointed!

This item has the look we wanted. However, the 4 screws and nuts holding the firebowl and mantel to the frame were missing as was some caulking between the firebowl and the mantel. Shaken loose in transit, I presume, maybe a packing problem.

I purchased a new set of nuts and screws locally, attached the firebowl and mantel to the frame but couldn't get a fire started. Called the company (800 762 1142), learned it was likely a vapor lock. Was told how to fix it. Fixed it. Now I'll look for caulking at a local hardware store. Couldn't get it at the above number I called.

With a little effort and patience, now it works very well. We're happy about our purchase. Without the hassles mentioned above, I'd have given it 5 stars.

Bought this in early spring and have used it pool side many evening for warmth and looks. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is that I had to go to my hardware store to pick up better quality screws to make sure it was sturdy. Also be careful when putting the regulator on the tank not to over tighten as it will pop off.

One suggestion is to make a cover for it while not in use, this should prolong the life of the burner assembly by keeping rain from pooling up. One other change is that we did not use the Lava Rock and instead went out and purchased separately fire glass - it looks awesome! I may buy one or two more for the deck area. I had looked at the more expensive tables ($500 range) and they seemed to have smaller burner areas.

This is a great fire pit,------ once my son-in-law got it going. A little problem with the gas getting to the igniter switch. Took a good amount of time to fix it, and that's because they knew what they were doing. But now that's is working, we love it.

I put it together and I believe the regulator does not work. OKAY 300.00 and it does not work. I call that JUNK selling. I will try to purchase a regulator and see if that works. MORE TO COME. I returned for. exchange.

Second one arrived. Alot of the grout missing plus screws holding the burner pan on. It did work this

Time. Cost me 9.10 TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE ONE.'

seriously, a 5 pk. at a dirt cheap price! how do you beat that? the answer is, 'you can't'. i put the first one on and it's super clean. i can barely tell it has a screen protector. it fits perfectly, maybe a little too perfect cuz it took me a few times to get it spot on; just buy it already.

very good price, arrived timely manner, but wrong title , should change crystal clear to ANTI GLARE, which is not clear on screen, i hate those grainy looking screen. not seller fault, just wrong title

I had bought clear screens before and I didn't get what was on the picture and they were too big. However, this vendor had the correct ones and they fit like a glove. They came in their own package and were clean with no scratches and fit excellent. Very good product.

It came in about 3 days , very nice shipping package , but the only problem I had was on my behalf . I could get it it fit right and when I did It had air bubbles .

But im sure anyone with the right tools can do it .

I was disappointed when I tried to put it on my iPod. The reason was that hair stuck under it and it had air bubbles. It was also too big to fit the screen and we had to trim it, and then it got too small for the screen. I would not recommend this product. - Ipod Touch 4g Screen Protector - Ipod Touch 4th Generation - Ipod Touch 4th Generation Case - Otterbox Defender'

Belkin Crap Worthless Garbage - wireless, belkin

I have an older iBook that requires an original Apple Airport card. Unfortunately these are no longer in production. They can still be purchased new online for $150-180 if you look for them, or you can get a used one from eBay for $100-150 or so. Couldn't see going those routes so I picked up one of these babies and it works flawlessly with OS 10.4. Belkin doesn't make drivers for it but you can get the driver at the Ralink Technology site (http://www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm). The Belkin adapter that I received from Amazon is version 3000, and it uses the RT71W driver. It's the one listed at the very bottom of the list of Macintosh drivers, dated 2006/01/25. When you open the box for this adapter, take the Install CD and the Quickstart Guide and all that other Windows-related stuff and throw them straight in the trash. Download and install the driver mentioned above and it'll prompt you to restart afterwards. Then go to your Network System Preferences pane and select Ethernet Adapter(en1) as your connection method. Plug the adapter into an available USB port (1.1 or 2.0, either one will work), then launch the Ralink Wireless Utility that you'll find in your Applications folder. And suddenly - hey yer smokin'! Been connected by cable for over three days now via a wireless Linksys router without a single disconnect. You can do it, too... BELKIN F5D7050 Wireless 802.11g USB Network Adapter

I've purchased and attempted to install three of these adapters. One of them was on an older Dell laptop, installed without any problems at all and connected seamlessly to a Linksys WRT54G router with WAP encryption.

The problems really started showing when I tried to install the second and third adapters, both on desktop computers running Windows XP SP2. The software installation was a breeze, but when I plugged in the adapter - nothing happened. Connect to network...which network? Scan..who? What?

It looks like this adapter has a very, very short range and doesn't work very well a wall or two in between the routers. It would see the router and connect - to drop the connection and not find one. But then it would find it again, and on and off.

Never really worked as expected on the desktops, so I've given up. I've had to disconnect them and reconnect them multiple times. Downloaded the updated software from Belkin's site, and still have connection issues with the desktops. The laptop works fine as long as I don't take it one room away from the router.

Avoid at all costs please. I've used other wireless devices with the same router that I'm trying to connect and they work fine - a few rooms away and all.

Spend a few more dollars and get something worth the money spent. Spend less time troubleshooting and more time surfing.

Good luck.

Installed drivers, plugged it in, nothing. Uninstalled, rebooted, installed drivers, NOTHING. Googled it and found tons of stories you have read here.

I like what a couple other people have said.

"Buy this for someone you hate." It's terrible...

I've had other Belkin products in the past and I'm surprised at how bad this thing is.

The few people on here that gave it 4-5 stars will probably win the lottery next week because they are the luckiest people I know.

ON WINDOWS XP:

=============

When you install the Software from the Installation CD of BELKIN F5D7050 Wireless 802.11g USB Network Adapter when it finishes, indicates us to Plug the Adapter. The Windows XP detects it and tells us to install the Driver.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM!!!!

The Windows XP, search for the newest driver for that Adapter on the machine, and selects his own driver "PrismaXP.sys", that in theory is the best, but it has the problem that it doesn't work.

When we have finished the Belkin software installation, and had closed all windows, we continue and PLUG the adapter, the Windows XP will detect it, but when it ask to install the software, take the option to select manually the driver, and select the driver located on the Driver's folder on the CD.

The Adapter wil be succesfully installed with 100% functionality. The fact, is that I'm sending that message through it.

I hope that will help you with that problem. see you.

|========================================|

ON LINUX:

========

The problem in Linux is only that there aren't linux specific drivers for that adapter. Well, if there aren't drivers on linux, we will emulate the windows drivers, je je je!!!

There are 2 posibilities to do that:

1.- The LINUXANT

Paying a License of about 25 $, you have the a 100% functionality and an easily WEB configuration (Tested with The 30 day free trial license)

2.- The NDISWRAPPER

That is a free sourcecode project, but it is a bit uncomfortable than the LINUXANT. It is a command line program and there is an available manual on English in the LINK:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

with tha instructions to make the installation. When it finishes, to use the Adapter is as easy as write:

ndiswrapper wlan0

Or another wlan if you have more than 1 wireless adapter.

The reason for only getting a 3 instead of a 5 is because of the following problem that I have encountered in the past on this network card. I have found that following the instructions provided by Belkin can lead to numerous problems. The installation way that I use on installing them are much easier for XP machines that I deal with.

1) place cd in tray, cancel or close the belkins welcome/install

screen

2)connect it to a usb port

3)when XP comes up with the install screen, let it search the

driver from the cdrom (or you can manually select it from the

X:\drivers folder on the cd(of course X: being your cd drive))

4)Let it complete the installation (*some computers ask to reboot

after installation is done,it is best to do this*)

5)depending on your network, you might have to configure your IP,

DNS, Gateway, and any Security or other settings you are

running at this time.

It takes longer to type this out than it does to do the installation. Doing this way has given me less headaches than trying to deal with Belkins software and the error codes an terminal problems running their wireless config software. (The wireless software is an 'aweful'ly close version and layout to the Linksys WUSB11 ver 2.6 adapter software. I might experiment with that later on this Belkin's). Once the install and setup is done, it operates at a relatively good signal in and around my house and yard. If not for their wireless software problem, I would have given it a 5 star rating instead. - Wireless - Adapter - Usb - Belkin'
