Digital Scale Tare Accurate
I decided to review this item since other reviewer's comments have previously been so helpful.
Yes, it does everything it is supposed to do. I checked against known weights for letters,
packages and books and it was very accurate. It is easy to use and operates with the adapter or
battery, which was included. BTW, a replacement battery (9 volt) is about $4.00 at most stores.
You just place an item on the scale then in about 1-2 seconds it weighs and beeps. The weight
appears on the LED face, so just lift off the item and use the number for packaging reference.
You can also push the tare button and add item to get its weight. For my needs, I just found that
having the calculated weight on the front in a big LED and a beep to tell you the weight is calculated
speeds up the process: fewer times pushing buttons and glancing to get the info. You can change the mode
to Kg.. That does come in handy for weighing items going out-of-country. For a typical e-bay sale, it is
not likely that you would exceed the 75lb. maximum: most PC items max out a little over 50Lb, so the extra
25Lb. capacity definitely helps. Finally, the included 9 volt battery worked. For intermittent use, it's the
only way to go.
As a student, who buys and sells on e-bay, this is a very high value tool. I can weight out
accurately US mail and/or FedEx/UPS packages; it is constantly being used. Just knowing how
much books weigh, is a lot of help.
To sum up, for the price you get an excellent ROI.
Would highly recommend to anyone considering a purchase. Weighmax 2822-75LB postal shipping scale, Battery and AC Adapter Included
Scale seems to be pretty accurate. Can be battery operated, so you don't need to be near an outlet. Also, has an automatic shutoff...and saves the weight on the screen so you can view the weight once the package is removed. Has come in handy so far!
I was looking for an affordable, high capacity digital postal scale and the Weighmax 2822 seemed like the perfect match. The price was great (about $25 including shipping). The features offered, just all I needed: 75lb capacity, ability to weigh in pounds/oz and kg/grams, digital display, hold feature, tray for weighing envelopes, dc adapter and battery included.
When I received it, the first thing I noticed was that the plastic it is made of seems to be very thin. Although I have not had any problems with its construction, it seems that in order to save on materials cost and bring this item to a low retail price, this thin plastic was used. This is a reason why I use this scale with even more care.
Now in regards to its accuracy, I have noticed that this scale overstates weight by a fraction of an ounce. I found out when weighing the same items on this scale and an analog scale. Not a big deal really, but it can make you overpay for postage sometimes as you end up moving to the next ounce mark. This issue can be attributed to the scale not being calibrated and it could be easily fixed by just doing that, calibrating it...if it was an easy task of course. I thought calibration was easy, but it's not! In order to calibrate this scale, YOU NEED TO DO IT WITH A 75LB WEIGHT!!! I thought that was very inconvenient as first of all, it's not easy to find something that weighs exactly 75lbs (unless you have a dumbell of that weight at home, for example, that you can use). The other issue is that it says on the manual that if you exceed the 75lb capacity, you can damage the sensor, so you have to use something that weighs EXACTLY 75lbs. So because of the effort and risk that it takes to calibrate it and the little inaccuracy it has, I have decided to just leave it the way it is and use it like that. This is where I have had my biggest disappointment with this scale though. Looking at the positive aspect of it, I think it is better to come a little above the Post Office's weight than being below and having your package returned to you due to insufficient postage paid...
Another issue I have experienced with this scale is that sometimes it shows a reading rather than zero when you turn it on, and you need to turn it off and on again in order for just zero to come up. Weight readings also fluctuate up and down sometimes when an object is loaded and then it stabilizes. I don't know if that has something to do with the object I am weighing or if it is a little glitch in the sensor, similar to the reading showing when nothing has been loaded. Since the impact of these little glitches are minimal, I really don't sweat them too much and have been using this scale consistenly, saving time and not having a single package returned to me for incorrect weight/insufficient postage yet. This little issues along with the thin plastic used give me some doubts about the long run reliability of this scale though, but the jury is still out on that one and time will tell. Luckily this item has a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, so if it ever breaks down, I will hopefully be able to easily return it to the manufacturer and have them provide me with a new one. Hopefully this won't ever happen. I would recommend keeping your warranty information though.
Overall, I think this is a good item and it has been helping me a lot. I think that you get what you pay for, so don't expect perfection with this. If you're a casual shipper, I think you will do fine with this scale, however if you intend to use it for business, you probably would like to spend the extra buck for something easier to calibrate and that will give you 100% assurance of its long term reliability...
Every time I turn this scale on, the numbers do jump from 0-8 ounces.
I don't know why it does that even though nothing is on it at the time.
So I have to press the button to turn it on and off...then it is ready for weighing.
After I weigh one package, the weight will lock in on the display and beep.
If I want to weigh another package, I have to press the button on and off again to make the display go back to 0 oz.
Placing a second package on the scale after the first...doesn't seem to unlock the locked display.
Unless I just simply don't understand how to use this scale, I have gone around and found a way to work for me.
I weigh all my packages twice and the scale is accurate each time. My post office double checks sometimes and tells me I am right on the mark and have a great scale.
So to me, this scale is great because it is reliable. The price is very reasonable.
Even though there are some minor inconveniences, I have gotten used to how I use this scale that it doesn't matter much to me.
I would love to know if other people who own this scale have the same minor inconveniences.'

Deskjet Printers - deskjet printer, color printer
I have used this for about 6 months with no problems. I have used it with both windows and mac computers. I use it mostly for print but color photos and graphics come out well. It is easy to set up and use.
I have never had a paper jam.
Contrary to a previous reviewer, there ARE large print cartridges available that last very well.
The printer is fast and prints very nicely at the fast (low ink usage) settings.
I like the paper tray as it holds allot of paper, is easy to use, and is covered.
It is a good, fast and simple unit but I do wish it did two-sided printing.
It looks good and works quietly and reliably.
Edit 2010: This printer lasted 3 years of light use (mostly black only prints) and then the color cartridge stopped working. Cleaning and new cartridges did not solve the problem. The printer would not work at all with a color cartridge in the machine but continued to work as a black only printer if the cartridge was removed. Still, 3 years is about the most I've ever gotten out of a inkjet printer. I prefer toner machines now as they seem to last longer. HP Deskjet 6940 Color Printer (C8970A#B1H)
I've been in the computer world for many years. I am a die-hard HP fan but the past few Deskjets have not really had the WOW factor to them. Until this one. I just recently purchased it and it was hooked up in no time on my network, all 5 computers can print to it simultaneously and it doesn't have any problem handling the spooling.
I gave this printer a 5 out of 5 because of its quality, ease of use, print quality, appearance itself as it looks great with an all black desktop and overall satisfaction with it.
I recommend this to anyone looking for a good bang for the buck factor as well as an amazing product, once again, from Hewlett-Packard.
When replacing print cartridges there is a folding, wire spring that contacts the cartridge. The spring easily comes out of place. If so, it will damage a printed circuit when the cartridge is installed. The printer is now worthless. I had no luck with support or repair parts. Searching for help, discovered multiple postings of this issue.
The price was great and this printer performs very well for my
needs. The color is excellent and the ink cartridges which came
with the printer are lasting a long time considering the amount
of printing that I have been doing. Putting in the two ink
cartridges is very easy. I wanted a printer that did not have
the five or six cartridge set-up.
This printer is, in many ways, a true success. It is sturdily made, so far as an outside inspection can determine, quite compact, and has some excellent features, such as the covered paper tray. It's one of the first printers I've had which actually pulls in one sheet of paper at a time if you put more than one sheet in, rather than pulling in a clump and printing the document partially onto three or four sheets. The printer settings on the computer are easy to use, and although only an ethernet attachment is provided, the USB port works perfectly well with a standard USB cable (although it was fortunate that I keep several spare USB cables handy, since it's all to easy to forget to buy the cable in addition to the computer).
That said, there is one glaring flaw in this printer -- one which, in my opinion, cancels out many of its other excellent features. The ink cartridge is tiny -- I measured it against my old Deskjet 920C's cartridge, and it's only 1/6 the size. There's no room inside to fit a bigger generic cartridge. There is so little ink in this acorn-sized cartridge that I ran out of ink printing 50 pages. These weren't full page pictures, either -- it was text with several small color pics in there. Since the new cartridge costs about $50, that works out to $1 per PAGE -- which is a lot of money for a small business owner like myself, and could be enormously expensive for those who do more printing.
In short -- it's a wonderful printer if you're the kind of person who prints maybe 3 or 4 pages a month. If you do any more than that (for business, college, etc.), then you're going to find yourself cursing as a $50 cartridge disappears in an hour of printing. Really, would they have lost so much money if they'd built it to accept a cartridge larger than a grape?
A caveat for inserting a print cartridge into the inkjet printer...make sure the printer is turned on before you lift the cover. This allows the little plate in front of the cartridge receptacles to descend...otherwise this plate interferes with the cartridge insertion. I learned the hard way...I tried to insert new cartridges with the printer turned off; hence, the plate did not descend...and I forced it. In the process, I damaged the folding, wire spring that contacts the cartridge to complete the electrical circut...rendering the printer useless in part or whole.
This is an excellent inkjet printer...the mea culpa aspects aside...I've just ordered another HP 6940 Inkjet Printer from Amazon. I recommend this printer to any one...but be careful. - Deskjet Printer - Inkjet Printer - Color Printer - Hp'

Shoe Pouch - nike, nike plus ipod
I own LaceLids but they are not interchangeable and I thought this item would be great for changing shoes (a girl's gotta have options, right?!?) While it's a great concept, I did use it once and felt that it wasn't sturdy... noisy clattering coming from my shoe made me nervous that it was going to fall off. I read one comment that it fell off during a trail run, and while my runs are usually confined to the treadmill at a local gym, I do 10k runs monthly... so I am concerned. I think I'll stick with my LaceLids and just buy them in bulk... They are very secure. Switcheasy RunAway Nike Plus iPod AnyShoe Adapter (White)
The sleek, good looking design attracted me to this product, but unfortunately it lasted all of about a mile and the top piece (along with my Nike plus transmitter) was gone. I guess I should have put some tape around it to be sure, but I figured it was designed for running and didn't expect it to break open so easily! Now I'm out $30 for a new Nike plus :( Don't let it happen to you!
I now have about 300 miles on the Switcheasy RunAway and it has been flawless. Its best features:
1. Easy to take on and off shoes in an instant. Just pull and turn to unclip from your laces. Yet it's quite secure as it locks on.
2. It has an easy access button so that you can turn your sensor OFF when not in use to save its battery. The marware doesn't do this.
3. comes in many crystal colors to match your shoes (perhaps not really important)
4. the newer 'crystal' version is a slight redesign which is more secure, rugged and easier.
5. comes with a cap for the ipod adapter, that fits snugly in the RunAway for easy storage of the whole nike+ipod gadget.
I tried running with the sensor under the footbed, but that didn't really work, and I'm not a Nike shoe guy. So, this clips easily on to my Saucony and Brooks running shoes. Yeah!
Update:
6. I now have 900 miles on her and it's still a rock solid holder. No problems. Not flimsy
7. The clip also works fine on the strap of my Vibram Five Fingers KSOs. So, another benefit as some holders require shoe laces.
I actually owned this for over a year. No problems except I went for a trail run last week, and poof it's gone. My guess is that because it's made with a plastic swivel to lock the clip around the shoelace. Must of worn down and gotten loose....I just replaced the sensor too, because the old one ran out. I think it's time to try the velcro one
I love the RunAway AnyShoe Adapter for Nike+ iPod Sports Kit. It can be attached to your shoe when you want to use it and then taken off when you're done. Much easier on the sensor's battery. Also comes with a storage method for the transmitter so that everything stays together and doesn't get lost. I can tuck the shoe adapter in my iPod Sock and it's good to go anywhere, anytime.
This is a simple and effective alternative to having to buy a Nike+ shoe. It does keep the sensor securely in place as recommended for accuracy in your distance. I ran about a year with one before the top came off, losing the transmitter. I believe the part that locks it in place can't take long term stress.
I recommend checking it periodically for signs of stress.
If you want a pouch type, make sure it keeps it secure with no extra movement. This is required for maximum accuracy.
I bought this Adapter over two years ago to use with my iPod Nano. As a life long runner, I don't wear Nike shoes so this item was the perfect option for me when using the Nike+ feature on the Nano. It's also convenient for switching from one pair of shoes to another if you like to rotate several pairs of running shoes. I have never lost the adapter of sensor with this device.
I purchased this product a while ago- directly from their website. It was easy to install, maybe a little too easy. I had it on for maybe a month before I went for a run on a local trail. After finishing my run I noticed my shoe looked different- the adapter had unclipped and my sensor was gone! It is way too easy for this thing to fall off.
A better (and cheaper alternative): Cut the tongue of your shoe, insert the sensor, then sow it back up. Costs nothing, and you'll never lose your sensor.
I bought this product several months ago, and just put it on my shoe for the first time. I ran 5K, and when I was done running, I looked down, and the top had slid off of the case, taking my Nike sensor along with it. This pouch is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL and I now have to go replace both the pouch AND the sensor. It is not sturdy AT ALL, and I would not recommend this product to ANYONE. - Nike Plus - Nike Plus Ipod - Ipod Accessories - Nike'

70-200 L Usm - canon l series lenses, canon
Pros: Lightning fast AF, Incredible Sharpness, Build Quality, Hood Design, Excellent IS
Cons: Price $$$$$, a bit big, a little heavy- not too bad.
WOW is all I can say. After getting over that I spent so much on a lens, this new machine is absolutely amazing. The image quality is top notch. 100% crops can be printed large and I can see every detail. I was in Miami and took some pictures of the big hotels, and was wondering what the names were. I looked at some of the pictures, zoomed in, and saw everything. Even small signs hundreds and hundreds of feet away. The IS adds a new feeling of confidence. No longer do you have to worry about shaking a tiny bit and the shot being out of focus or a bit blurry. Canon has really created an astounding piece of technology surpassing others(Nikon) in the lens market. The build quality, as expected from an L series lens, is made to withstand extreme conditions. The zoom ring is large and easy to use. The buttons for different IS and af/mf are easy to use/see. The new focusing distance allows you to get closer to your subjects, and can get quite close if some cropping is done. The Af is also excellent, and focuses very fast even in low light. Now, price... yes... I recommend thinking about this purchase for a while. 2500 - as of now, is a lot to spend, but if you have the money and really really want it, I highly recommend it. The pouch that it comes with is very nice and the hood is easy to put on and is a better material than other hoods. It does not scratch easily like my 24-70 f/2.8L lens hood does. At all apertures, this thing is sharp. If you are an IQ aficionado, this lens is quite a big step up from Mark 1 especially at f/2.8. For me, sharpness is my big thing, so I wanted the best out there. I did not want to step back in terms of technology and get the first generation of the lens even if it is still very good. In a few years if you decide that you want to sell the lens or change to something else, I can assure you that this will retain its resale value very well. I doubt Canon will be upgrading this in the next 5 years, so the sharpness and awesome Af will pay off in the coming days, months, and years to come.
All in all, the new 70-200 is quite a stunning lens which will continue to be one of or the best in Canon's lineup of pro lenses. If you want it and can afford it without selling your house, I would get it haha but as always, research extensively and weigh your options before buying something at these price levels.
I hoped you liked the review. More info and analysis to come in the future...

Thanks
- Alex Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
The 1st version was my favorite zoom in my bag which had the 16-35mm 2.8L and the 24-70 2.8L because it was so much sharper than the other two. I was really happy with the 1st version and wouldn't have replaced it if this never came out. Now that the price has come down, about $130 from the original price, that should pay for a good B+W 77mm UVA (Ultra Violet) Haze MRC Filter #010. Don't gimp this lens with a plastic coaster from Ritz!
The image stabilization improvement is noticeable! Before I sold the 1st version for $1,550 (June 2010), I compared the two indoors handheld. I couldn't believe how 1 stop of IS really improved the quality and sharpness of the photos in low light.
With a crop sensor camera Canon EOS 7D 18 MP, Canon EOS 50D 15.1MP, or Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP, this lens is effectively: 112mm - 280mm.
It works great with the Canon EF 1.4X II Extender Telephoto Accessory, it brings the max aperture down to f4, but it is still pretty sharp.
Paired with a 7D or any other 1.6 crop lens, it will become a 156mm - 448mm lens!
I use with this lens with my 7D or the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. It works perfect for both and did not feel like I had to Micro Adjust the focus.
For 1st time buyers of this lens.
- Watch canonpricewatch dot com.
- If you never owned an L lens, you will be shocked at how sharp this is (then again, most L lenses should have that effect)
- If you never had Image Stabilization, this will allow you to take sharper photos indoors. It will reduce motion blur from lens movement, but not from the subject where the larger aperture has greater effect.
- It is weather sealed (you'll notice a black o-ring at the mount) - you'll need to add a lens filter to complete the sealing.
- You can use this for sports to portrait photography. For portraits, you get excellent bokeh at 200mm / f2.8 (the smooth background blur where your subject is in focus)
For those upgrading from the original Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, I didn't think there was much to improve on (I was wrong!)
- That lens came out in September 2001, so you are taking advantage of 9 years of technological advancement
- The buttons are designed better - I hated how I always switched to MF when shooting! This is now a non-issue (no need to tape it down)
- Second generation Image Stabilization technology that is silent, you could hear the motor sound of the gyro in the first version. You get 4 stops vs 3 stops IS.
- Improved optics - it has one fluorite and five UD elements for increased optical quality. You get reduced flare, which improves contrast (Your brain tells you it is "sharper")
- This focuses much closer at 1.2m/3.9 ft (improved by 8.1" at 200mm) - better for tight indoor portraits
- Focuses faster and quieter
- Larger focus grip area
- Improved hood Canon ET-87 - it has a lock that makes it easier to put on and remove. It has a different texture that is less susceptible to scratches.
- Bottom line, it is worth the upgrade, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.
Cons
It is expensive - but you get what you pay for
It is heavy, especially if you never owned L glass, but to maintain a fixed aperture at f2.8 throughout the zoom range requires lots of glass! Just stop being a wimp already.
Tips:
There are two modes of Image Stabilization: I rarely take it off Mode 1, but use Mode 2 if you plan to pan left or right (to follow a car or someone running)
The focus distance selector is handy, be sure to use if you find that it isn't focusing indoors, it could be that you selected 2.5m - infinity.
Take off the tripod collar if you hand hold it a lot - it just gets in the way sometimes. - 70-200 L Usm - Canon Lenses - Canon L Series Lenses - Canon'

Small Electrics - small electrics, knife
I have Chicago Cutlery knives. First I used the Steel that came with the knives. After about 3 years, the knives would not sharpen very well. Then I got a "set" that used 4 ceramic rods to sharpen the knives. They did a very good job, but it was a LOT of work. After using that set for about 5 years, I tried a real "cheapy" electric sharpener and returned it after one use. It just did not sharpen. -- Back to the rods. I finally decided to give the 300W a try. It works just great. The knives get much sharper than any other method I have tried and they stay sharp much longer. For my purposes, this is an excellent sharpener.
Granted, this isn't the most expensive thing in the world, but I was looking for better results more quickly than I could achieve with a manual sharpener. As the company's website claims you can have sharper than new edges, I decided to put that boast to the test with my set of brand new Henckels. Not only was the process tedious and quite demanding of technique, but I never got edges as good as factory (which were, admittedly, near razor sharp to begin with.)
The magnetic guides work OK close to the bolster, but as the blade narrows and your hand is farther from the guide, it becomes very difficult to maintain alignment. On curved blades, you have to bring the handle up carefully during the stroke while unable to see the exact portion of the blade you are sharpening. It must be done by sound and not sight. Also, while inserting the blade into the sharpener, care must be taken for exact alignment or the diamonds will grab and kick out the blade somewhat. I never detected any damage, but it doesn't inspire confidence.
I imagine that while the more expensive models with wheel type sharpeners and a different style of guide might work much better, I'm just not going to pay $100 for a knife sharpener. I will stick with my manual diamond hone. I returned the 300W.
Unfortunately, I paid twice the www.Amazon.com price from a local store several years ago, and I must say it is one of the few kitchen appliances I have been disappointed with. It takes a long time to get all the knives honed to the angles of this sharpener. Then keeping them sharp seems to take a long time and they never seem to get as sharp as one would expect. The motor heats up quite easily after a few knives and begins to smell like it is overheating. I think the product has always been over-rated. I might buy it at this price but a simple non electric works just as well at less money.
I don't normally write reviews, but this time I will as I think it might help others who have been searching for a decent and reasonably-priced sharpener. Four months ago I had about 14 utility and steak knives sharpened by an upscale store in Santa Monica. The price? $35.00. Now, I got the 300W for $34.88 all in. I sharpened the knives according to the instructions, and they came out sharper than the "professional" store job!
After investigating knife steels, oil stones, water stones, and various gadgets this sharpening device is truly a "Chef's Choice". It is easy to use, requiring only a light touch. It does a great job in sharpening your knives and does not take a long time. Another benefit is the price and better still the immediate savings when you buy the Chef's Choice 300W Diamond Hone Knife Sharpener from Amazon. This purchase will NOT CUT into your wallet !! My Henkels and Sabatiers have nice sharp honed edges. Now I think I need to buy a new cutting board.....
Several reviewers have complained that it takes a long time to sharpen knives with this gadget. Perhaps, but compared to using a whetstone, the Chef's Choice 300W is blazingly fast. Properly done, sharpening knives does take time.
It is vital to break in knives exactly as described in the literature that accompanies the sharpener. Other reviewers have said that the sharpener does not perform well on hard knives, but I am using it on hard stainless steel knives and getting a good, sharp, long-lasting edge.
I have been pleased so far with the sharpness of my knives after sharpening them with this sharpener. My only complaint is that sometimes it's hard to get the knife into the running grinder without nicking the blade on the vibrating sharpening plates. This is a good quality item.
This sharpener does not do the job as easily as stated by the info on the site. It takes to long to sharpen the knives. Matter of fact I still have not been able to put a razor sharp blade on any of my knives. I would not purchase this sharpener.
I just received it, read the instructions and then sharpened six knives in about 15 minutes. The first sharpening takes longer because the knife edge must be reground to match the sharpener. I have another Chef's Choice with three stage sharpening which adds a grinding wheel and makes the first sharpening go very fast. It is over 10 years old and is still going strong. I rarely use the grinding wheel so decided this version is more practical and much less expensive. I highly recommend this excellent sharpener. - Sharpeners - Chefs Choice - Small Electrics - Knife Sharpner - Knife Sharpener - Knife'

Ipod Nano Watch - nano, ipod
I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.
Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping.
- The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit.
- It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever.
- The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire.
- The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm
- NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes.
- The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble.
Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool.
UPDATE: March 10:
I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good.
The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. They are incredible, and dont move an inch when you run. iWatchz CLRCHR22WHT Q Collection Wrist Strap for iPod Nano 6G
I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky.
This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:)
In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out).
So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.
The part that holds the nano is flimsy and poorly made.
Problem one: very rough edge that hangs out beyond the nano.
Problem two: the whole band depends on one very thin piece of plastic underneath the nano. The piece broke after about 2 months of daily use.
The bad was great and very comfortable, but the piece that holds the nano is terrible. - Ipod Nano - Nano - Ipod Watch - Ipod'

Inexpensive. Shipped and arrived quickly and in good condition. However I bought it to use with my Sony XR-550V as the camcorder does not ship with the VMC-UAM1 ($15 from Sony). For that use it did not work. Not sure if the device is defective or just not compatible with the Sony unit. USB 2.0 Type A to Mini USB 5-Pin Type B Female / Male Adapter
I bought two Adapters for my Sony CX-550V camcorder. Shipped and arrived quickly and in good condition. However it did not work. I checked sonystyle.com Sony VM-CUAM1 USB Adapter Cable is USB mini-B to the USB Type A, exactly same this adapter. If the device is defective or just not compatible with the Sony unit? I don't know other persons have some problem. Should I buy a Sony USB adapter cable for my CX-550V directly copy video data to HHD device? But this product can connect my Canon camera from mini USB to my computer.
In my quest to become more thrifty & less cluttered, I've begun using adapters rather than a whole new special cable for needed connections. An adapter is cheaper than getting a new cable & they take up a lot less space. If you have a cable with only one end that's required, try just getting an adapter to enable a connection, instead of a new cable.
There's really not much to say about this little device: it converts one type of USB to the other. It's cheap, it's sturdy, it gets the job done. I use this with a portable battery to keep my iPhone charged if I'm away from power for a while and it works perfectly and the price is such that you can afford to get a spare or two in case you lose or break one eventually.
Item seems to work, but not for the purpose I was planning. I was hoping to use this plus the iPod's charging cable to plug it into my fm transmitter. (My original transmitter cord was overstretched and is now flighty.) Nearly fried my iPod. Not the product's fault, but iPods are very particular. - Iphone - Sony'

Kindle Protection - kindle covers, kindle jacket
Amazon seems to take forever to ship this case compared to other cases.
This case is sturdy, it's made of some type of canvas material and has enough padding to protect the kindle. The inside is lined with some type of microfleece material so your screen wouldn't get scratched.
After having the kindle without a jacket, I've realized that i like reading it naked but after holding it up in this case, i could go either way. it's lightweight although you'll still notice a slight difference in weight when reading in this compared to holding the kindle by itself.
I like that it zips around to give complete protection from dust and other particulates that could slip in.
I folded the cover round the back easily and was able to zip it. however, you have to keep adjusting the zipper once you convert it back to the normal way. I still like that you can fold around and zip it because it allows me to hold the kindle with one hand and read.
The power cord and AC adaptor fit into the pouch in front without any issues and i was able to zip it without any problems. it does bulge but it bulges a little outward and none towards the inside where the kindle is at. I didn't like reading with the cord and AC adaptor in because i feel it adds a little amount of weight (it might not be noticeable to you). I think it's definately good for transporting those cords.
There's some type of pocket at the back where the m-edge illuminator light can fit. it has another slot underneath that. maybe you can slip a business card or a note card there or perhaps a car key.
Zipping is a tad tight around the corners but it's not a pain.
The only thing i have some issues with is that the fastener at the top left corner feels loose but then i've given my kindle the shaking test where i held it over my bed and shook it up and down once and it slid out of the top left corner. That fastener right there feels loose so i think i'll have to exchange it.
I got this because while i love to read my kindle naked, but there are times and places where i want to read it in a case and i don't want a cover that permanently attaches to the kindle. I wanted something versatile so i could go back and forth as i please. This case seems to fit the bill. If you need a strong and sturdy case for transporting your kindle, this is it. if you get one where you don't have a defective fastener at the top left corner, then you're in good shape. I believe one of the previous two reviewers had the same issue with his case. It may be a manufacturing defect, i don't know. Don't let that deter you from buying this. I'll update when amazon sends the replacement. Hopefully, the left corner for that one fits well.
Did i say the navy is a lovely blue color?!
Peace. M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket, Red (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle)
After not being able to get this product shipped to Aussie with Amazon , I purchased this jacket from the people at M-Edge where service was brilliant.
The cover feels so nice, not bulky at all.
I love the idea of being able to zip it up and put it in my handbag without getting it scratched.
The zips are excellent quality and move very freely.
It holds my K3 very securely, is made of excellent quality materials and is an overall superb product.
I have given it 5 stars as i just cannot find a negative about it.
I had this for my Nook and now I have it for my 2 Kindle's (3rd generation). The first one i got was perfect. The 2nd one (for my 2nd Kindle) had a problem securing the Kindle in the top left corner. M-Edge's brilliant customer service replaced it immediately and the new one is great. I think they should use the same fasteners at the top as they use on the bottom, not sure why they don't as they feel more secure, but it's still the best Kindle case out there. I love it and would 100% recommend it.
As soon as I found this cover available for preorder on amazon, I ordered it. It arrived yesterday and I'm delighted with it. I have the M-Edge Latitude cover for my Kindle 2, and was disappointed not to find it available when I ordered my Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation.
I bought a nice plum colored carrying case instead, and didn't regret it. That case protected my Kindle from being dirtied (or worse) by spilled food at a cookout. But that kind of case has a serious drawback for me. Because I have to remove the Kindle from it in order to read, I have two things to keep track of: the Kindle and the case.
Part of the genius of this M-Edge Latitude Kindle jacket, is that it stays attached to the Kindle at all times. I just flip it open to use the Kindle, then flip the front cover back into place and zip it closed when I'm done. There's nothing separate to slide off my lap while I'm reading, or to be placed somewhere else while the Kindle's in use. And then located again when I'm done. (If I'm reading at home, chances are I'll finish a Kindle session in a different room from where I started it, meaning I have to go fetch the case from wherever I was when I took the Kindle out of it.)
The newest generation Kindle is the first one (I've also owned the K1 and the K2) that I don't mind reading when it's not fastened into a cover. It's small and light enough, and the back is grippable enough, that I don't fear it slipping out of my grasp. After spending a few weeks reading my new Kindle that way, I wasn't sure how I'd like going back to using it in a jacket. But this jacket is lightweight and snug-fitting, and doesn't get in the way. I'm adjusting to it just fine.
The other very important aspect of this Kindle jacket, is the all-around protection it provides when closed. I can slip my Kindle, in this jacket, into a purse or tote bag with no fear that some stray object might slip into the case through an open edge, and damage the Kindle.
The K2 version of the M-Edge Latitude was a perfect solution for carrying and using my Kindle 2. I'm equally pleased with the new M-Edge Latitude for my third-generation Kindle. - Kindle Accessory - M-edge - Kindle Covers - Kindle Jacket'

Replacement Battery - dell battery, replacement battery
Be sure to get the "RoHs" battery featured here. I purchased a 9 cell battery from another seller at about the same time as this 9 cell battery. This one holds a 3 hour 40 minute (plus time to spare) charge (I tested with media player playing the first half the time and a backup running the second half - no idle time) and the other barely gets past 2 hours. HUGE difference. Also the other battery gets warm - not this one. Nice! I highly recommend this product.
As for the seller, the shipping time was fast and the price is decent, esp for what you're getting (it's like two thirds cheaper than buying direct from Dell if I'm not mistaken).
One one of the best buys I've made over the past 12 months. Kudos! 9 cell Battery For Dell Inspiron 1525 1526 series replace RN873 GP952 M911 X284G series Ac Laptop Notebook Main Battery
The first gotcha was that this battery is quite a bit bigger that the one it replaced (RN 873) but it fit the slot fine. Just stick out and down a little.
Second gotcha was absolutely no directions which should be not problem but...Apparently Dell uses a Smart Power system which has thousands of complaints on the internet.
Anyway, I powered down, installed battery and powered up. Power options said 63%. OK so far. 12 hours later still 63%....Uh Oh.
Long story (about 7 hours of Internetting, calling, attempted BIOS flashes etc) developed many horror stories about LIon batteries and Dell power adapter. The dreaded "unknown device" syndrome.
Here's how Dell recommended a reset. First, power down and remove battery. Second, unplug AC Power adapter from computer AND wall. Third-Wait till green light goes out. In my case, went and got coffee and watch a show.
Fourth - plug adapter into wall and computer and power up WITHOUT the battery installed.
After boot up, insert the battery.
It worked?!!?!
I bought this battery to replace the worn-out battery on my 2-year-old Inspiron 1525, which is battery model M911G. The one I received didn't fit the computer and it didnt look like the battery pictured above. Return was easy through Amazon, but disappointed that the battery didn't fit. Possibly my mistake, as the product description says it fits M911 (but doesn't say M911G).
For those that are confused about the physical size of the replacement battery; this is an extended size battery. There is the standard size that is flush with your laptop when inserted, and there are the extended sizes that protrude out approximately one inch from the back of your laptop. You will find this same protrusion on any extended size battery you buy directly from Dell. It will stick out the back a little, and that is normal. The standard size is a six cell battery and will give you a shorter run time on a charge. This is a nine cell battery, and this is how they get more run time out of the battery... it's bigger ;)
Considering the same size battery from Dell costs $179; I would say paying $39 is a bargain (price I paid at time of purchase). It would still be a bargain even if it lasts only half as long.
You can save yourself some headaches though on having to replace your battery more often than necessary:
- If you generally have your laptop plugged in and the battery is sitting there fully charged all the time, unplug it and let the battery run down a bit (about 40%) and then remove it. Your laptop will function just fine without the battery. When you need to use the battery, put it back in, let it charge up a bit, and use it.
I can't give this product a five star rating as I haven't had it for an extended period of time. I received it, plugged it in, discharged it, charged it up to full and it shows about 6.5 hours of run time with the backlight on the LCD at dim. Ran it down to 40% and put it away for storage. I'll come back and edit this review a few months down the road.
[EDIT - Addition - Jan 31, 2011]
Well, a few months down the road has passed by. First, a little background info so you can relate my usage to what I am saying. I am a full time tech college student, I drive a small fifteen minutes both ways to campus, and I attend class four days out of the week. I have the computer on pretty much the whole time as that is where I store my notes, take my notes, and do some of my homework. I use the the battery fairly frequently. With all that use my battery still reads 6.5 hours. Not sure if it is reading right or not, but it does hold a charge through all my classes down to about the 15-20% mark at worst (depending on usage). I do keep the battery on power saver settings while in school; display dimness turned all the way down, display turns off in 3 minutes, goes to sleep in fifteen minutes, WiFi turned off unless I need to look something up. I do occasionally turn the display brightness up, but turn it back down after. Do realize that the more you are demanding out of your laptop, it will shorten how long your battery will be running, I am pretty much using it for Office 2007. I remove the battery on the weekends as I can run it off the power cord at home.
I have been pretty satisfied with the battery, so much that when my wife's laptop had her battery kick the bucket I went and ordered one for her also (she has the same brand/model laptop as I do). I would buy this battery again and am changing my rating for it to a five star. - Laptop Batteries - Laptop Battery - Dell Battery - Replacement Battery'

Nursing Undershirt
Bought these when I had my first baby. I can't say much more than this is all I wear. I have 3 and I rotate them. I need 6 more to be honest. When I'm home, I slip something over it if its too cold, and when time to feed I slip the over shirt/sweater/sweatshirt off, and feed. No walking around my house in winter wearing only my bra, no changing all the time. Best investment I made. I bought the bras that do the same thing and I prefer the tank instead. Gilligan & O'Malley® Womens Full Sling Long Nursing Tank - Black L
I got 3 of these after the birth of my baby. Pros: good room in chest area, I am at least a DD (36) & the large is comfortable, functional for nursing, length is great & there is room for a belly.
Cons: pretty low cut, only reason I won't give 5 stars.
Ordrering from amazon was the way to go. Sizes at Target stores & online were limited.
I'm so pleased with the fit of this tank; when I can afford to buy more, I will! The clasps are as easy to work as the ones on my Gillian O'Malley nursing bras, and the fit is nice and long over my belly.
I've had a lot of trouble finding the right nursing bra and tank. My cup size increased a lot after baby was born and I live over-seas, in a country of small chested Asians! This tank has been great to keep my tummy covered and allow me to nurse in more public places. My only complaint is that I still feel like I need more support. The length is awesome!
I really like these tanks- however, this was a bit different than the one I had purchased at the store (of the same brand).
Maybe I didn't read close enough but this one only has minor support on the inside- the one I got at the store had much more support in the bra portion.
Otherwise the tank is great- super easy to unhook and rehook with one hand.
Only other caveat- if you have lost some or most of your baby weight the tanks are super long and a bit baggy- great right after you have the baby but not as good 6 mos later!
Super comfortable and handle being washed often well!
Doesn't offer much support. I should have known better than to assume it would, but for any woman with larger breasts, you will need to wear a separate (read: better) bra underneath. Also, the tank itself is strangely baggy in the midsection, even though I am not a really thin woman. It almost seems like it would be better suited as a maternity tank, it is that baggy. The Medela nursing tanks are better, although they are much pricier. However, even with a bigger chest, I can get away with just the support from the Medela tank, NOT something I can do with this one.
Very comfortable and has a great built in bra. I'm still pregnant and it stretches over my belly just fine. After washing and drying it goes right back down to size so i will definitely be able to wear it while nursing after pregnancy.'

Panasonic Phone Battery - panasonic p-104, panasonic phone battery
There is not much to say about this battery pack. If your current Panasonic cordless phone has a PP104 (with a #29 displayed in a black box on the battery) NiMH battery pack then this is the unit you need. I received two of these batteries from Amazon.com in just two days. I had them installed in my cordless phones in just a couple of minutes. I left the phones on the charger overnight and my phones now work flawlessly. I am a little dissapointed that the batteries which came with the Panasonic phones only lasted about a year, but so far these new battery packs have brought new life back to my phones. The cost is fair and the quality seems just as good if not better than the original factory batteries. I know there are after market batteries that are compatible with my phones, and could be used in place of these PP104A units, but I believe in sticking with original equipment. For $14 each you really can't complain too much about the price. Panasonic Ni-MH Type 29 Battery (HHR-P104A/1B)
Ordered these batteries for my Panasonic 5.8Ghz phones and found they are worse than the original ones they are replacing. Old batteries lasting 5-7 days before charging with nomal daily usage, these ones last barely 3 before I need to re-charge them. Contacted reseller (As Good As New Electronics) and received extremely poor customer service. Got accused of using 'old and worn' phones - right... Was not even given the option to try another battery. They maybe selling cheaper priced batteries than your local stores, but their poor and prejudicial customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Find another reseller on Amazon. If you can't, pray you get a good battery and hope you don't have to deal with their non-customer service department. One star because I can't give them zero stars in order to post this review. - Panasonic P-104 - Pansonichhr-p-1 - Panasonic Phone Battery - Panasonic'

Super Mario - hat, red
My 6 year old is a huge Super Mario fan and he loves wearing this cap and acting like Mario. I made a felt 'M' emblem for the front, got white gloves and fake moustaches and he just loves it! The cap is superbly made with a very comfortable fit. The inside is lined with a silky material and is very soft, yet extremely durable. The bright red also is highly visible. I love this cap! Cotton Elastic Newsboy Cap-Red 2
I'm a 24 year old female and wanted to be Mario for Halloween. This hat fit perfect and looked great. It is also high quality and well worth the price. I'll be incorporating it into my normal attire as a statement piece. Great all around!
Used this hat as the base for my Mario costume.
I simply bought some cheap felt squares at the craft store and cut out the M logo and used some craft glue to glue it onto the front of the hat.
Everyone loved the way it came out and it was much cheaper than buying the cheap looking premade Mario hat.
The hat seemed to be of good quality and fit well, it has an elastic band to fit multiple head sizes.
Overall its a great hat.
I purchased the red and the green newsboy caps last year for Halloween. I felt that for 6.99 it was going to be a felt hat of poor quality, but I wasn't concerned as it was only for one night. Imagine my surprise when these hats are lined, great construction, and have lasted my boys the entire year. Lots of colors to choose from, these are also great vintage looking hats.
Had wonderful service when I ordered 15 red newsboy hats. Our church choir wore them on Pentecost Sunday and also to show support for two members who had just completed chemotherapy. Got the hats right away as I didn't have much time to pull this together. Very impressed with the company that sold them. Later ordered 5 more of the same thing.
EllenCotton Elastic Newsboy Cap-Red 2
I actually purchased this hat for part of a child's costume. We got the red hat for Mario and the green hat for Luigi. The hats were shipped and received extremely quickly. The hat is of a very nice quality, especially for the reasonable price. We are still a few weeks away from Halloween and we can't wait to put the whole costume together and go out in public. The hats are definitely the best part of the outfit. - Cap - Hat - Red - Caps'

If you use a fair number of batteries, especially rechargeable, a good battery tester will save you a lot of time and some money, too! This one is excellent! I have a few minor gripes, one is that sometimes it takes a few tries to get the contact with the positive terminal correct. I also wish it had two probes for different battery types that you can't get to fit on the box. I would suggest looking at the smaller models unless you specifically need the batteries that only this tester will do, as others have mentioned it is big. . Overall, I am very happy with this very practical, solid, US built product. ZTS Multi Battery Tester - ZTS MBT-1
This product works as advertized on more batteries than any other I have found. I just went through over 100 batteries I had in the recycle box and found more than two dozen that tested 80% or better, so I can keep them for clocks, etc. that do not need a strong battery. WOrks on every battery I have tested. It is way overpriced, but considering its wide scope, its professional design, and accuracy, I think it is probabily worth it.
OK, ok... It says the dimensions right up in the specs, but I didn't take notice of them. This thing is as big as a hardcover novel. It's awesome, though. Tests all your batteries under load, which is the most accurate way. But, you better have a whole drawer set aside to store this thing.
The ZTS multi-tester arrived and was larger than I expected. The tester is 8" long x 4-1/2" wide by 1-3/8" thick. I had not looked at the specifications for size.
So far I have tested only AA Alkaline batteries. The tester helped me sort through a dozen batteries to decid which were truly "dead" and which were only slightly used. I like the way the tester cycles the pulse load and then settles on a specific LED to show the rating as either 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100%. The batteries I considered 'dead' were reported as 20%. This explained to me why they would no longer work in some devices that seems to take only a small current to operate (namely an indoor-outdoor thermometer). On the other hand, some batteries that would not work reliably in my optical mouse, had fallen to only an 80% rating. Even though the optical mouse would not work well at this level, these batteries are now being used in my indoor/outdoor thermometer and working great. This saved me from buying some new batteries. My plan is to evaluate batteries that check at 40% or higher and see if they can be used in some items that will not require a battery at 80% or higher.
The cord is somewhat self storing, by pushing in into a groove on the tester's soft rubber side. I am interested to see if this feature is durable.
The look of the testing contacts can be misleading. The place on the tester where one contacts the battery "looks" like a positive top of an ordinary battery, is the place where the top of the battery is set. This means the small button (positive terminal) of your battery must be pressed onto the small diameter contact (1/8" diameter) on the tester. Then the wire prbe is placed against the negative or bottom of the battery and the test begines. It seemed a little awkward at first but it is not too difficult to do this if the tester is setting on a table or desktop. It might be difficult to hold everything (tester, battery and probe) if the tester is in your hands. A test seems to take only 3-4 seconds for a AA battery.
There are lots of battery varieties which can be tested. The only one I have encountered which is not listed on the tester is a AA rechargeable, Nickel-Cadmium, 1.2V battery. The tester reports nothing when tested on the NiMH contact (1.2 volts). Not sure if it means the battery is completely discharged or if the tester cannot test this type of battery.
The tester does not come with the case, it must be ordered separately. It seems like if I am spending close to $70 for the tester, it should come with the case, because I want this tester to last many years. I did by the case separatley.
I first bought a ZTS Mini Multi-Battery Tester (MINI-MBT), but later decided that it would be useful to have the larger and more expensive ZTS Multi-Battery Tester (MBT-1). This review might help if you're trying to decide which one to get.
Both testers are excellent at performing their jobs. The reason that I eventually found the mini-tester inadequate is that I have quite a few devices whose batteries can't be tested by this device (but can be tested by the larger MBT-1):
- 3v lithium coin (2016, 2032, etc.)
- 1.5v button cell (S76, A76, 357, LR44, etc.)
The mini-tester works on four classes of batteries, while the full-size tester works on ten classes (several of which I've never seen). The full-size version handles every battery-operated device I have except for a few devices that use oddball tiny button cells (392=SR41, 386=SR43, 389=SR54) -- for instance, a meat thermometer and a fever thermometer.
Other than the set of batteries that can be handled, there are a few small differences between the two testers. The mini-tester has an "on" switch and auto-off; the large tester has no switch at all. Both testers have a row of LEDs that indicate the battery state -- five on the mini and six on the full-size (with an additional LED for 10% battery life). The mini-tester uses four AAA batteries, while the full-size tester uses four AA batteries; both units have a self-tester to let you know when these batteries need to be replaced.
The most obvious difference between the two is sheer size -- the mini-tester similar to a pack of cards, the full-size tester more like a hefty book with narrow pages.
I've read the other reviews and don't disagree with the large size, size of contacts, etc. But I don't find any of those really bothersome.
Something that hasn't been mentioned much though is the quality of technical support. I use a variety of battery types and have several ZTS testers. I've written to ZTS multiple times with various questions and I always get answers back from Dave within 1-2 days. On this particular tester, I asked if it would be OK to use NiMH batteries IN the tester. His answer was no, because those batteries run at a somewhat lower voltage than alkalines and would give you a low battery warning much sooner. Also, many NiMH cells are not the low self discharge type and would lose capacity just sitting on the shelf.
I will probably still use the NiMH but with the proviso that I would only put freshly charged LSD ones in there while I was doing testing. I try to avoid storing ANY electronic gear with alkaline batteries, knowing that leakage and corrosion is likely.
I do like that the ZTS testers put a significant load on the batteries under test for a very brief time. That means you are really working the batteries but only draining a minuscule amount.
I've used the various ZTS testers on everything from car batteries to button cells. I've never had a tester malfunction and the tech support is great. Definitely worth five stars! - Electronics And Gadgets - 9v - Battery Checker - Battery Testers'
