Mivizu - yoga mat, yoga bags
Pro: lots of pockets and storage.
Cons: pretty much everything else. A normal sized mat sticks out the top, which would be okay if the top secured enough to hold the bag up, but it isn't, and it slips down over time. The carrying strap is so not helpful; the bag tilts and never sits up comfortably on my back. I got this bag in hopes of easily biking to yoga with my mat all stored up, but it's AWFUL for biking. The tie the "secures" your water bottle in the side is also saggy and worthless, and between the slack of that and the tilting of the bag, my water bottle falls out all the time. It's also pretty cheaply made: the ties on mine both broke within weeks of getting it.
So disappointing!! Mivizu Eco Yoga Mat for Pilate/Exercise/Gym/Fitness Bag
I have a Gaiam Yoga Mat; It fits the mat very well. Just a detail, in the picture the bag is cream and I actually got a pale green bag, but I like green so I don't really mind.
The bag's material is strong but soft at the same time, easy to wash in case you need it, the inside of the bag is big enough to let me have the mat and a change of t-shirt. The pockets are very useful. I'm very happy with this bag.
I was hesitant to buy this bag because some people said it wasn't big enough for their mats and I have a thick Lululemon yoga mat. I went ahead and ordered it anyway and was so happy to see that it fits in this bag with plenty of room to spare. I also like the three zippered pockets for extras (I was able full-size deodorant + a travel size perfume fit in one) and the water bottle pocket. I can't believe it was so cheap either. Definitely recommend!
Love this mat bag. I would have liked it to be just an inch longer, but with out any hassle you can fit a jade harmony mat in it. The drawstring helps pull it shut, but it really could use just a little bit more length, which is why it only got 4 out of 5. Other than that small caveat, and regardless of it as well, this is by far the best bag I have ever owned. I have quite a bit of experience with them as well, being that I own my own studio, and have been practicing for years, and still do.
Got this as a present and absolutly love it. The bag has tons of pockets, and I love that they zipper. I can now keep my keys and ID in the bag without having to worry about losing them while at the gym. The mat is great as well. Nice amount of padding, much better then my previous yoga mat. Would recommend.
I bought this product for my mom; she does yoga almost every day of the week. I noticed that she didn't have a yoga bag to carry her water bottle, towel, etc. so I got this product for her this Christmas, she loved it and she already started using it. I recommend this product for any yoga lover.
I love that this bag will hold a bottle and towel and is very sturdy with a great strap, but I have a standard width yoga mat (medium thickness) and the bag doesn't cover my mat. Even when it's pushed in all the way, and the top of the bag is cinched, the mat is sticking out. It may work for a thinner mat, however. - Yoga Bags - Yoga Accessories - Yoga - Yoga Mat'

I am not one to put down any one or any company but why would I look at this product twice when I can get the same size Plain Shank Full Head Framing Nail in a 4000 pack at Lowes for $30.00. That's over 3000 extra nails for the same price. It will be interesting to see if this review shows up. I have used this brand and see no difference then other brands for less money such as Grip Rite. I have looked at the (review guidelines) I do not own stock in any home building supply company but I would like to see my fellow tool users get the most value for there money. Price, quantity and quality go hand and hand with any product. My name is Scott I am a tool addict. Thanks for letting me share.
ADDED 5-4-2011.. Good nails but shop for the better price. DON'T BOTHER WITH HOME D. CHECK LOWES EVERYDAY PRICES B & C Eagle A312X131/22 Round Head 3-1/2-Inch by .131-Inch by 20 to 22 Degree Plastic Collated Framing Nail (500 per Box)
If you have a Porter Cable FR350, for some reason finding nails can be a slight problem. The mega home store with the orange sign has them, but not consistently. So these are a good stop-gap until you can find more. They drive well and seem to hold well.
If you are looking for the highest quality nails for your nails gun then you better get these. I have used these forever and they have performed to the highest extent the whole time. They have never jammed or messed up my guns. These are top of the line
These may be great nails, but they'll probably jam and misfire with the Porter Cable FR530 nail gun. The FR530 needs plastic-collated nails, not paper-collated like these are. I made the mistake of buying a ... case of paper-collated nails, only to have non-stop problems with them. Only on the Porter Cable website does it mention that the gun uses plastic-collated.
I used these nails in a Porter Cable round head framing nailer. They worked very well and I have not had a single misfire or jam. I can only speak from experience for the Porter Cable nailer, but highly recommend them for this particular nailer.
I would like to see a better match for the gun, and larger quantities at local store prices. The nails have yet to jam; however, the gun stops ALWAYS with about 3 to 5 nails left in gun and I just need to keep adding some more to keep gun going.
These are 16d nails that measure 3.5" ... I used these nails to frame 2x6 walls and to frame the rafters on a 20x 16 garage... these nails never jammed or misfired... have recently ordered more of these nails.. - Nails - Hero - Bill - Christianity'

Canister Vacuum - vitamins, energy
I am very leery of "energy drinks." I have never tried Red Bull or Rockstar, and I really don't plan on it either. The thought of pumping myself with artificial energy (sugar and caffeine) and then crashing hard is just not very appealing to me. So, I was likewise hesitant with 5-hour Energy.
After hearing all of the radio ads, though, and constantly seeing these little red bottles on the gas station counters, I had to give it a shot. I kind of coughed it down the first time as the flavor wasn't real great to me, but I figured it was only 2 ounces and I could get it down. I'm sure glad I did, because I was amazed at what it did for me. Using vitamins and minerals (and the same caffeine dose as in a cup of coffee), I was given energy that lasted and did not cause me to crash!
I try to keep some of this stuff on hand (berry is my favorite by the way) and I usually take this when I am feeling like I really need a nap but the nap isn't an option. While it doesn't instantaneously feel like leaping off roofs, if I can motivate myself to start some project, within a half an hour I notice I am not tired anymore! This energetic (and non-sleepy) feeling last for quite a while too, so I don't take this beyond perhaps 4 or 5pm if I want to get to sleep that night.
I cannot tell you how many people I have gotten started on this. Usually it starts with something like this: Them--"Does that stuff really work?" Me--"Yes! It's awesome, and it isn't like most energy drinks. This is really vitamins. Here, try this!" Them (two weeks later)--"Wow! That stuff really does work. I have been buying it now!"
This is highly recommended for safe and healthy pick-me-ups! (Can I give it 10 stars?) 5-Hour Energy - Berry, 1.93-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12) - Energy Drink - Energy Chaser - Vitamins - Energy'

For as cheap as this little tablet is, it does a GREAT job! I purchased it to have an extra travel one; I have a larger Intuos that is PHENOMENAL (I won't lie, it is much more sensitive and because it is larger it is much, much, much more precise) but the problem is that it is totally unsuitable for a mobile lifestyle. This little cutie works excellent for the things I do on the fly.
Considering that I am a professional digital imaging specialist who uses my tablets constantly, I hope you'll take this advice: for those of you who are weekend enthusiasts or whom are just getting started and perhaps may have never used a tablet before, this is a good one to purchase. It does just fine for most applications and is sensitive enough to do the average things. Once you've totally become addicted to it and know for sure that it suits your needs, maybe then save up and get a larger Intuos. Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet
I've been a long time user of Wacom tablets, so when my old workhorse Intuos finally kicked the bucket I tried the new Bamboo. One of my designers at work recommended I give it a whirl.
Installation is a piece of cake. There are practically zero adjustments or preferences to set - to be expected at this price point. This is good and bad.
I've found the drivers (or something) to be a bit wiggy though. Sometimes I have to plug in a mouse (gah!) to force the tablet to read the screen again.
The sensitivity is lackluster, again to be expected. For basic stuff it's fine, but for anything requiring brush work it leaves a lot to be desired. If you use Photoshop or Illustrator, invest in an Intuos. The money is well spent if you're using it in a professional arena.
I can only recommend this for people interested in learning the beauty and usefulness of a tablet for computer graphics work, OR anyone who suffers from carpal tunnel. As a basic input device it's effective enough. Using a pen feels more natural than pushing a bar of soap around a desk!
At first, I was looking for a new mouse, since my old one needed replacing. I have bad arthritis, so comfort & ease of use was very important. I bought the Logitech Trackman Wheel and I absolutely loved it. I hadn't even considered a tablet device, as the last time I looked around they were a bit pricy. I ran across the Wacom Bamboo, & saw it was for well under $100!? Too good to be true I figured. I always research things I buy, so I looked around. Not only is the Wacom Bamboo very affordable, but the reviews all gave praise. My concern was that If I got a tablet, it would need to replace both the mouse & keyboard. Too much switching around is just too painful for me. I bought the Wacom Bamboo straight through Amazon as I have always had great service. I'm running a desktop w/ Windows 7, & the install was fast & easy. Well, it's been a week since I got it, & I haven't even touched my keyboard. The tablet/pen makes browsing, email & everything imaginable so fast, precise & easy. As I can sit back & comfortably use the tablet on its' own box to jump around & write, do graphics and 3D CAD.... the pain for me is substantially less.
Writing is very easy, corrections are software intuitive & a breeze. You can teach it your Writing style & it will continuously learn. Enough settings so you can get it to perform as you like it, but not get lost confused with them.
I wrote this whole review on the tablet in just a few minutes. This tablet is not just for graphic designers & such! Honestly, make your computing life easier, buy a Bamboo & you will soon be bragging to your friends & family how great it is!
I an not affiliated with the company, it's just the BEST money I have EVER spent on any computer peripheral.
I bought the Wacom Bamboo Pen to aide me with my studies. I am currently a student and primarily use Microsoft OneNote to help in my notetaking. This is the most convenient for me as most of my professors utilize Microsoft PowerPoint for their lecture slides. I needed a tablet to use with my Windows 7 PC and laptop to further improve my ability to take notes and work out practice problems electronically.
When it came to installation, it was plug and play for the most part. I am running Windows 7 which comes with Tablet PC components by default. The only additional software needed was the Wacom Pen Tablet Properties software. The software allows a great deal of customization including handedness, pen vs. mouse mode, and many others.
When it comes to usage, it works as expected. Utilizing a tablet can be difficult at first like learning all new things, but I started noticing my dexterity improve over time. As stated previously, I mostly use it for notetaking and working out problems and it serves its purpose well. The only gripe I have is that it is sometimes easy to accidentally hit the side buttons on the pen as they are really soft and easy to push, but I changed the way I hold the pen to compensate for that.
Now as far as reliability, I have noticed the pen has started to malfunction. I bought the pen on 11/28/09 and the pen started malfunctioning on approximately 12/5/2009. After a restart, the Pen Tablet Properties software will not load at all. This makes the whole tablet completely functionless and unable to respond to taps. When I check Device and Printers in the control panel, there are no problems detected with the tablet. The only way to resolve the issue is to reinstall the driver, which is a pain because it must be done after every restart. I have posted on the Wacom EU support forums and searched for solutions but have not come up with anything satisfactoy as of yet. I am contemplating returning the Bamboo Pen before it is too late to do so and just saving up for a better (albeit more expensive) tablet.
Update on 12/13/2009:
I may have found a fix to the issue. What I did was unplug the tablet, uninstall the Pen tablet properties software, and remove the tablet from 'Devices' in control panel. I then reinstalled the Pen tablet properties software first, and then plugged back in the tablet. It may be crucial to install the software prior to plugging in the tablet so that Windows 7 installs Wacom's drivers instead of the ones that come preinstalled. The tablet appears to be working as it should now. I will keep Amazon informed about any new issues that may arise with the tablet.

Highly Recommended - alarm, loud
On our recent trip to Egypt and Jordan we stayed at the St. Catherine's Plaza Hotel in Jordan, the hotel was not very secure and had no added security locks or chains on the door. It was 7 am, I was just waking up when I heard steps coming up our staircase outside and then there was a key in our door and our door being unlocked. We had set the GE Smarthome Door alarm the night before and of course when they tried to enter our room the alarm went off scaring them away, I could hear them running very fast down the stairway. I am so glad I had bought this for our trip or we may have had an unwanted stranger in our room. I highly recommend this alarm! GE 50246 Smart Home Door Stop Alarm
Even though I keep a gun next to my bed, it really bothered me that if someone managed to get into my house, I probably wouldn't wake up in time to get to it. (I'm a VERY deep sleeper and my bedroom's on the 2nd floor)
I'm so glad I decided to order this!
It's VERY loud and the 4 I ordered work on all my doors leading outside.
I even found a way to use this on my sliding glass door. By propping it gently against the sliding part of the door, and then putting something heavy behind it, to hold it in place, the alarm will go off if the door's opened.
Like the other reviewer said, I love that it's portable, so I can bring it with me to hotels and stuff.
Anyways, between how well it works, the simplicity of using it and the very reasonable price. I very highly recommend this!
I travel for work, so having this door stop allows me a sense of security that otherwise I would not have. The alarm is very annoying so hopefully, in the event it was triggered, it would be enough to awaken even fairly deep sleepers.
My own issue with the unit is that you need a screwdriver to insert and remove the battery. I remove the battery when I travel so that there is no way for the on off switch to be activated by accident en route.
Otherwise, good value and small enough to pack and take each trip.
This product will not disappoint you. 120 decibels is no joke. Fire/Police sirens are approx. 120 decibels. Gunshot approx. 140. Most sound charts start the pain threshold at 125. Excellent product and a cheap/simple security measure. Understand this is just an added level of security (like a tall fence, door lock), not an all-encompassing security solution. I'm not worried about amateur/undetermined intruders now. However, now I'm worried about waking the dead... that might be problematic. They're always so angry.
Looking for an easy to use, reliable door entry alarm with no complicated mounting? Get the GE SmartHome Door Stop Alarm. You won't be disappointed. Afer batteries are activated, you're done. Just put by your door. So sensitive to pressure that I've often scared myself by picking it up the wrong way. (Pick it up by the sides only) Easy to take with you on trips and a perfect complement to the Door Jammer. Highly recommend.
This item seemed like a good idea. Perhaps we should have checked to see how much space was available under the door to my daughter's apartment before we bought it. The door is very tight, with no space underneath for this to fit. My husband plans on bringing it on business trips to use in a hotel. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of purchasing: see if there is any space beneath the door!
I purchased this to augment a home security system. While the door I am using this on is protected, the siren for the home alarm is towards the front while the door is at the back, and I basically wanted this for the siren. It is LOUD, which is obviously what you wound want, and seems sturdy, though I am not sure that if someone really pushed in on this it would survive the experience. Still, at less than $20 (far cheaper than an additional siren for the home alarm) it is well worth it.
This guy is super easy to set up and very loud. I don't find it to be over-sensitive, so you can move it about without setting it off. Once you do tap the metal sensor, however, a big, high-pitched screech is released.
I bought this because my door alarm has a 30-second delay so I wanted a back-up alarm that sounds immediately when I'm in my apartment. It works as intended and I'm happy with the product and the price.
I docked a star because this thing slides a bit on wood floors. If someone opened the door, it would still go off, but I think if someone flung the door open, it would set the alarm off initially and then the unit would slide away. I haven't been able to test this theory, but I'm pretty sure it won't work as a door-stop for this reason. - Alarm - Home Security - Loud - Security'

Accurate Scale - digital scale tare accurate, postage scale
This product is extremely easy to use and very accurate! When using battery power instead of the AC adapter, it even turns off after not being used for a while to preserve battery life. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to weigh items under 75lbs! Very pleased with my purchase. Weighmax 2822-75 lbs capacity, Blue,Postal Shipping Scale, Battery and AC Adapter Included
I bought this scale so I could use the free USPS.com mailing service. The scale I got from one of the commercial mailing services did not have a digital read-out and only worked with their online service. Needless to say, it was useless when I discontinued the commercial mailing service. The cost of this scale was about the same as one month of the commercial service and I can mail boxes and packages using the free USPS.com mailing service using this scale. It is easy to use, very intuitive, and works well. The range of weights is also helpful since the limit of priority mailing is 70 lbs. It is a good buy!
I received the Weighmax 2822-75 lb capacity scale that I purchased at Amazon.com. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I sell on line and need to be able to take a picture of the items on the scale and the weight window. It worked very well. I am pleased with the purchase. I would certainly purchase from this supplier again. Thanks!!!
I started selling on-line and I thought I needed a nice scale to weigh the items and print the shipping labels from home to save some time and money. Started looking around in Amazon for scales that had over 4 stars average rating and also some nice reviews. It was between a food scale and a postal scale. At first i thought about going with a food scale since those are more accurate with small items, but then I went with the WeighMax 2822-75lb Digital Postal Scale in case I had to ship heavy items in the future and so far I haven't been disappointed. After shipping a few items under 1lb I have found out that this scale is very accurate and the items have been off by 0.2oz the most compared to the postal scale of the Post Office.
I always keep the scale plugged in on my desk and haven't tested it with the battery yet. It is small enough so it doesn't take that much space. I first tested the accuracy of the scale with dumbbells and I was worried at first because I would get different numbers with different dumbbells of the same weigh (10lb) but after figuring out that those things are cheaply made and are only meant to build muscle so they don't have to be very accurate.... and after shipping a few items, i was finally satisfied that this is a great scale.
Even though this review is for the blue scale, I'm sure the black and the gray ones are the same. - Accurate Scale - Shipping Scale - Digital Scale Tare Accurate - Postage Scale'

Accessory Kits - canon, accessory kits
I usually never buy a product without it having a previous review but I really needed extended battery life. I'm VERY glad I took a chance on this. I am an amateur photographer and was in need of a grip for my 60D for both extended battery life and an easy way to take vertical shots. And this was the answer! There are some pros and cons that I will list but the pros outweigh the cons especially for the price of this unit.
Pros: Good tight fit, AA battery capable, Batteries last nearly as long as original Canon, Button on/off switch, works with camera without any problems, very light.
Cons: Plastic seems cheap, Button labels silver not white (hard to tell anyway), Obviously not totally weather proof.
Time will tell how will this battery grip holds up over time. It fits my camera very well and the grip is deeper that the camera itself which makes it quite easy to hold. I'm not concerned about the unit not being weather proof an I try to keep the camera as dry and clean as possible. The extended battery life is a great benefit for nature photography because I can set up in camouflage and not worry about having to move around to reload a fresh battery. I've posted pictures of the grip on my 60D so you can see how it fits. I believe this product to be well worth the money and highly recommend it to amateurs like myself that would like a good grip without dropping much $$. Professional BG-E9 Battery Grip + 2 LP-E6 Batteries for Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera
For $50 the grip is an excellent money-saving after-market alternative to Canon's $171 grip. It's comfortable and works just the same. If you are using canon batteries they will give you info, however, the batteries that come with this grip are crap. They have no chip and will not communicate with your camera so there is no way to see how much life is left. They also split open whenever I take them out of their orange plastic cover case thingy. Do yourself a favor and just buy the grip WITHOUT the batteries.
This is a nice Piece of plastic, rubber... and mechanics.
Having bought other off brand battery grips for my other Canon DSLRS I was watching out for a grip for my 60D that was a fraction of the price of the Canon brand. The first version of off brand grip that came to Amazon was the one that loads (batteries) from the back and I didn't think that would be as comfortable and solid as the one that loads from the side so I passed. This version came out and I jumped on it and couldn't be happier!
Fit is great with an excellent match to the 60D finish of the plastic coating and the rubber surfaces. The glue that they used to put the rubber on the grip stinks but I am sure that will fade. The Batteries are not bad. They charged up with the OEM charger and are solid. I couldn't tell you about a chip interface wit hte batteries but when they are running low the battery icon shows me so I am happy.
The tripod mount wheel that attaches the grip to the camera is an interesting gear driven offset device that is actually a welcome change to the other versions that I have had in the past.
As with most grips the rubber will come unglued in time, but I'd rather spend a third the price for a grip that is mostly the same as the supposed best at a fraction of the price.
I had an Opteka battery grip with my old DSLR, and it was excellent.
This one is a little poorer quality, but for the price (with two batteries), it's a very good deal.
Because of the size of the batteries, the grip is VERY wide, and can be quite annoying at times. That's not a flaw with the grip however.
The rubber material on this grip is not attached perfectly, and some sides and corners are lifting off already.
What annoyed me the most is the tightening ring, which stays a little loose and feels like something is broken.
Apart from that, the camera detects the grip and the two batteries perfectly, and the buttons work perfectly and smoothly.
The battery grip itself is awesome. I have never used a battery grip in the past, but this thing definitely fills the gap when taking portraits. It definitely does add substantial weight, but what more could you ask for to add function and power?
The reason this item lost one star is because the batteries SUCK!!! You cant use the standard Canon Charger to charge the batteries. One of my batteries shows battery power remaining and the other does not. They are both the same brand and require a third party charger.
I would recommend purchasing this battery grip without the batteries and buy the Maximalpower batteries sold on Amazon. They are awesome.
The handle looked and felt good. Attachments and materials used was up to standard. Tried charging the batteries that came with the pack but was not able to. This may be due to the fact that I'm currently in a country with 220V current supply. Will see if it works when I get an adapter. All in all, a good feel to it.
My daughter is using it and according to her it does the grip work well and it is much cheaper than Cannon original one. I assume the quality of the attached batteris is not the best but still this was a good value for the money
I bought this a few months back, and i have to say that i really liked it when i got it. fully functional keys, great build, i have seen the original canon battery grip and i thought there was really no big differences as to pay double. HOWEVER, the batteries that come with this grip ARE indeed very lousy. I got a totally defective one that doesn't even work, contacted the people i bought it from here on amazon, and they said that it was not their problem that i should contact amazon, and so far i haven't found a "contact amazon" link or anything. Anyway, i would recommend this battery grip, but i would also recommend using original canon batteries. costing over $60.00 each, that is probably the main reason why the canon battery grip is almost $150.00, making it probably a better investment. - Canon - Canon Digital Camera - Digital Slr - Accessory Kits'

I bought this for my dad so he would quit doing sketches on scrap pieces of graph paper and cocktail napkins. Very nice quality notebook, well designed. My father is a furniture builder and I think this will hold his sketches, dimensions, notes and plans well. I did think it would be a little more study, it is hard cover but not as sturdy as I expected. Also it is not very thick. Wireless Smoke Detector - kidde, detectors
I love the idea of this system, and as soon as I found it, I had to order a set for my home and my grandmother's home. They work as advertised. One goes off, and they all go off. Push the mute button on one, and they all silence for a bit.
I feel much safer with them in the house, but the system has one flaw. That is that there are only have 2 models available. One is a wired model that interconnects a wired and interconnected system to the battery powered wireless system, and the other is a battery powered wireless system. Both utilize ionization sensors. There is no battery powered photoelectric option, or better yet, a dual sensor version.
Here is a quote from Amazon's own product description; """This alarm uses ionization sensing technology. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms. Kidde strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.""" So Kidde knows that you should have both types, and even "strongly recommends" it, but then does not give an option to wirelessly connect both types.
There is also no wireless CO2 or combustible gas sensor. I suppose you could find wired interconnected versions of those detectors, but that is hardly an easy solution...
I'll say it once more though to emphasize; I feel much safer with this interconnected system than with my previous non-interconnected system!!!
I just wish Kidde would give a little more variety to this otherwise great system.
I have had the system installed for a little over a year now. There have been no false alarms, but they never fail to all go off when one is tested or detects smoke. Batteries lasted about a year. They use 3 AAA batteries each, which they do come with. Kidde 0919-9999/ RF-SM-DC Battery-Operated Wireless Interconnectable Smoke Alarm
I got three of these for my elderly mother, who lives in a beautiful old house and (unfortunately) routinely walks away from the kitchen while she is frying food. I put one in the kitchen, one in the living room and one just outside her bedroom, so she'll be quickly alerted if her frying pan starts to smoke. I've tried breaking her of this dangerous habit, without success. Now at least there is much less chance that things will get out of hand.
The smoke detectors work flawlessly. When one goes off, all of them go off. You don't have to reset each detector, either. Reset any one of them, and they all stop beeping for seven minutes, giving time to clear out the smoke if the problem is minor. They're also piercingly loud.
What a great product. Now you don't have to get an electrician to hardwire smoke alarms together. They also make 110 volt models that are wirelessly networked.
I purchased 4 of these wirelessly interconnected smoke alarms for the 2500sq/ft house that my wife and I are renting. Being in a fairly large house where we often leave doors closed, I felt it was important to have an interconnected system to ensure that we get the earliest (and loudest)notification possible. I would have preferred to have hardwired interconnected smoke alarms, but being as we're renting, I didn't want to start stringing wires all over the house and drilling holes. These Kidde alarms seemed like a perfect fit...they are one of the few wirelessly interconnectable smoke alarms on the market that I can find.
I received the alarms in good order through Amazon Prime 2-day shipping. Setting them up was completely painless. Each alarm has series of small switches on the back of them which is used to "encode" them to talk to only each other. Ensure the coding is identical on the back of all your alarms (PRIOR to putting batteries in), and then put them up like any other smoke alarm. It really is that simple. I did that, tested the alarms a few times...and it worked immediately. Pressing the test button on any of the alarms caused ALL of the alarms to go through the test cycle. Awesome...I felt safer already.
Then, unfortunately, a big problem arose. I own a Skylink SC-1000 Complete Wireless Alarm System, with many additional sensors integrated into it. One of the sensors I use is a Skylink AS-433E Alarm Sensor, which I use to have the smoke alarms trigger my overall security system when smoke is present. This allows me to be notified of the alarms going off, even if no one is home to hear them.
Unfortunately, I came to find out that these smoke alarms operate in the same frequency band as my Skylink Security System...the ISM 902-928MHz band centering on 915. These alarms completely jam all of my security system while they are going off. Not only will it jam the alarm sensor's transmission to the control console, but the also the door sensors, the motion sensors, and the vibration sensors. Basically, it bricks my entire security system. This, obviously, was not acceptable to me. I considered purchasing a competitors equivalent of these alarms, but it appears they also work in the same frequency band. So, I'm returning these alarms, and getting more traditional smoke detectors.
In Short: These alarms provide a great capability. They are easy to install, and seemed to work (for the 24hrs I had them, anyways) as one would expect them to.
HOWEVER...while the Kidde website erroneously says to not worry about RF interference, make sure the RF frequency of these alarms does not interfere with an already existing wireless security system that you may have. If your security system operates in the ISM 902-928 band, these may cause problems. - Kidde - Safety - Smoke Alarms - Detectors'

Docking Station - howard stern, satellite radio
I purchased this to replace an Audiovox PNP2 radio purchased in 2004...after wasting tons of time and effort trying to make it continue to work properly. I had purchased three home docks and one auto dock for the PNP2 so I was not thrilled when it started to fail. I could not get consistient reception with the PNP2 even after placing the antennae in various places outside my home. I even bought an antenna extender so I could place the antenna on the roof, free from obstruction...no dice. I listen to Sirius all day long so reception problems were driving me nuts!
I ordered the Stratus 6 (with car kit) and a home kit from Amazon because they had the lowest pricing and free shipping. I only ordered one home kit to be sure everything worked properly. After spending a short time connecting everything to a receiver on the first floor I was ready to take the antenna outside for a test when, to my surprise, I heard music! The new antenna was pulling a signal from inside the house! I was completely floored and soon realized that the technology has been enhanced quite a bit since the days of the PNP2. I now keep the unit on top of an organ next to the receiver and keep the antenna curled up, pointing at a wall, and I get all three reception bars! Moving to another stereo in another part of the house is so simple that I don't even need to purchase additional docks. I wish I hadn't waited so long.
The car kit is just as great...I plugged the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm connector to my AUX IN, ran the antenna through to the trunk, and found a convenient spot on the dash for the dock. WAY better reception than the crappy PNP2 car dock!
I was able ot transfer my lifetime subscription to the new unit in about five minutes ($75 fee for that but worth it to call all the way to India for assistance ;-)
The blue display is so easy to read and the 10 pre-sets are adequate to get me around the dial quickly. Sound is stellar! I highly recommend this unit! SIRIUS Stratus 6 Dock-and-Play Radio with Car Kit (Black)
Great basic radio for Sirius Satellite. Has plenty of pre-sets for storage. Set up was a breeze, took me less than half hour to run all the wires in my Nissan Murano. Hooked it up to my Aux-in and the sound is as clear as can be. Now I can listen to Howard Stern while I drive. No brainer.
I bought this as a replacement for my factory new car Sirius subscription. We have 3 trucks, so in order to have Sirius available in all three, I decided to go with a docking station type radio. I am using the FM modulator on all three. I would put the sound quality using that method at marginal. It works, but isn't going to help you win any sound quality competitions. It does look nice, and the car kit comes with everything you need to mount it, no matter what method you desire. I used the adhesive type mount in one truck, the vent mounts in the other two. All work perfectly. I called Sirius and got the activation fee waived, paid 95 bucks for 1 full year with all the fees and taxes included. Can't beat that deal at all.
Pros: Ease of installation and activation is a snap. Sound quality is very good (with caveat in the cons). Very easy to use; menu and programming is very intuitive. Hard to beat the price.
Cons: On the third day after installing, the audio wire/plug going into my 'aux' input of my car radio started hissing and lost the right channel. The wire is really, REALLY, cheaply made. I worry about the antenna wire, because it appears to be no better in quality. The gauging of both wires is MAYBE 14-16 gauge. Great for hiding under trim, not so great in terms of robustness. Also worrisome is the fact that sometimes the radio doesn't always go into menu mode when pressing the menu button. It seems to be hit-or-miss, and you have to press it several times to finally get the thing into menu mode. Very worrisome if you ever have to change a FM frequency setting, etc.....which IS likely, because.......if 97.9 (the default frequency transmission) is too close to a strongish commercial radio station in your area, you will need to change it. Any FM frequency close to a fairly strong commercial radio station will suffer from static/interference. In the interest of fairness, once you find a relatively 'lonely' FM frequency in your area, the sound quality of the FM transmission is stellar. I'm hoping the purchase of a decent mini-plug stereo cable will fix up the aux feed problem but, frankly, that extra purchase shouldn't be necessary for a brand new radio with a (supposedly) complete car installation 'kit'.
Overall, I can't fault the concept, but the execution seems to be really marginal. Buyer beware. This could be $50 thrown away if the thing dies within a few months. Which, I suspect, may be more likely than one would hope.
Beware: SIRIUS and XM radios are not the same. If you have an XM Radio account, the SIRIUS radio can not be added to that account. A new account must be created. If this is your first satellite radio, no problem, it is a good product.
Dear wife got me this radio for Christmas and I love it. Was able to plug it in and have it playing within 15 minutes in my truck, although making the installation permanent took a little while longer.
Ended up ditching the "mounts" provided with the unit, and just used velcro to mount the item (it's light!) to a clip I'd already used to mount my mp3 player. The directions say to run the antennae outside the truck cab and use adhesive to mount to the top of the truck. However, I just ran it into the dashboard, out a vent opening and stuck it in place with a little velcro right on the dash near the windshield - inconspicious, easy to remove, protected from the elements, and still have perfect signal.
Logging on to Sirius and starting the subscription was easy, as well. With this unit, I could opt for the A La Carte package - 50 channels for $7/month. Got the channels I wanted for a minimum price and it all went through QUICK.
All in all, I highly recommend the unit. No complaints at all. - Sirius Radio - Sirius Satellite Radio - Howard Stern - Satellite Radio'

Pedometer - pedometer, health
I love my little pedometer! It's just the added motivation to get moving that I needed.
The HJ-203 is small and light, with an easy to read large display.
Benefits are:
- Accurately counts steps whether it is in my pocket, on my belt, or in my purse.
- Fastens securely with a locking clip
- 7 day history for steps, distance, & calories (with a separate counting for exercise/action mode)
- Special mode for exercise - this really helped accuracy while running!
I would highly recommend this pedometer. And as a fun feature, if you make the 10,000 step goal, there is a small figure on the display celebrating your accomplishment! Omron HJ-203 Pedometer with Activity Tracker
I wanted something I could put in my pants pocket during the day no matter if I had shorts, jeans or dress pants. This fits the bill. Easy to setup and read out and keeps 7 days of data so I do not need to check it every day.
I am very pleased with this item. I owned a previous model of Omron that seemed to wear out and not keep steps as accurately at the end of its life. I found that model pretty accurate until after about 2 years of regular use. I knew Omron offered quality products, and decided to replace my failing pedometer with this newer model. This is definitely the most accurate pedometer I have ever had. As others have mentioned, it is necessary to ensure that the pedometer remain in a near perfect vertical or horizontal position in order for it to accurately record. Amazingly, it works perfectly well while even being placed completely upside down, as long as it is fairly vertical. I usually don't have trouble with positioning, though. I like that this model is small, so it is easy to conceal. However, I do miss not having a clip for it, like I did for my previous pedometer. Being a woman who rarely wears pockets, most of the time, I place my pedometer into position in my undergarments and use the clip to prevent a loss in case the pedometer dislodges. I know that eventually the plastic clip that comes with this device will wear out, (as it did with my previous model), so I went to the baby/infant section of my local department store and bought myself a stainless steel, durable clip that is used to prevent loss of pacifiers. This will make the perfect replacement when my clip eventually wears out. I have used the activity function, and although it is interesting, I admit I don't use it that often. I'm mainly more interested in the total cumulated steps at the end of the day. All in all, I really enjoy this pedometer and am glad I bought it. I would recommend it for its accuracy and small size. I even appreciate the animated character that jumps in celebration when I reach my 10,000 steps. As silly as this may seem, I know that on more than one occasion, I found creative ways in getting steps, just so I could view my celebrating character. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. - Pedometers - Health - Fitness - Pedometer'

Surf Fishing - rod, fishing rod
The TU-150 is 15' long. It is 3 pieces. I own 2 and bought my 3rd on 11/9/10 on Amazon.
The rod is phenomenal. I recommend you litely sand all connecting points for the joints so that the sections do not stick together because they will... after sanding rub surfer's "SEX WAX" for surf boards around the connecting joints (inside/outside as applicble). This rod casts about 30% further than my 12' surf rods and I use it in extreme surf with heavier weights OR when I just want to cast as far as any human being can cast a weight and a bait...no kidding.... I am able to cast 12 and 14 ounce weights with this rod in extreme conditions and I can cast an 8 ounce weight so far I have had other surf fishermen watch in awe. I fish for Stripers and Blues on Long Beach Island N.J. and this rod is great. Clean it after every use, treat it well and enjoy it.
Put a good reel on it, big reel recommended as this is a big rod. Nice tip action does not lie, tells you when a fish is messing with your bait. It takes a bit of muscle and skill to cast this beast and I love mine (all 3).....they make surf fishing even more fun !. Enjoy !.
-ARTIE STOUT Okuma Fishing TU-150 Tundra 15-Foot 3-Piece Surf/Pier Spinning Rod (Large, White/Blue)
Great rod perfect for fishing off the shore and the lightweight and durable for any type of fisherman. I've been fishing for 15 years and i've found
no problems with rod and for the price you can't go wrong
The ad said two piece but it is a three piece rod. I have another similar rod that also is three piece, not bad but wanted a two piece. Two problems with rod, the sections stuck together and I had a hard time getting them apart. Actually two did not come apart the second time I used it. Also it developed a small crack at the joint, about 1/8" long. It has a good feel when fishing with it and I liked the eye that lays down when transporting. I own a lot of Okuma equipment for surf fishing and this rod is the only item I am not thoroughly pleased with.
Pros:
It is long 15' and that gives better casting distance
The first guide has a large diameter so the line travels easily
Compared to other surf rods guide diameters are larger including the last guide which I believe adds more distance to the casting
Rod color white is better when fishing at night to detect bites without using bells or led light
Stronger rod blanks
Non slip thick rubber grips and their positioning is better for distance or power casting
The rod action is very good for distance casting
Cons:
Sections stick together extremely hard to remove
Guide materials tends to rust easily
Reel seat has a minor play to it further tightening will damage some rubber around it.
Pole is heavier and thick in diameter
Very short insert points in sections (probably cost minimization in manufacturing process) it is a major disadvantage on this rod
Short insertion points in sections may have made them fatter to make section joins stronger but sometimes totally impossible to remove sections
Rating:
4 stars
Experience:
My good experiences are tainted with bad experiences. I had virtually impossible to detach rod sections.
Drove few hours to get to the high tide in one of the best surfs ended up with rod sections stucked together with guides facing opposite directions.
Let alone that I could not even bring it back home as it not fit in the car without removing sections.
Word of warning when assembling do not press sections hard together it will create a vacuum (just like clapping with cupped hands). Make slowly and gently go in (bit hard though).
If sections stucked together then remove the reel completely and hold rod 70 degrees to the earth surface (10 o'clock facing west) from the bottom section then go shake the rod hard to loosen the joints.
If above did not work flatten out the rod on a table and lightly clamp the MALE section (WARNING do not clamp tight) use thick rugs on clamping area to avoid any damages to the rod paint work. Lightly make three taps around the edge of the joint in order to press the female section slide out use a very blunt object like a cold chisel (not a sharp object) and a light hammer.
Why I rate 4 is mainly due to reasonable prize and the action of the rod.
It's big!!!...but that's why you order it. For the price, I don't know how they can sell it for ~ $35. Surprisingly well made for an inexpensive 15' surf rod. Casts a mile, but not for someone with a cardiac condition, as you will work. I have it paired with a 30 lb. test Daiwa 9000C and with some practice, it will sling it past the far break +. Recommend for someone looking to try distance surf casting.
I usually surf fish in close with a grub or Gulp; perch, corbina, croaker, halibut on a light spinning rig ~ 6-8 lb test, 7.5 ft. rod. With this 15 footer I cast out a piece of bait, put it in a holder and then use the fun light tackle for perch, etc., while I wait for something further out to hit this rig and ring the rod tip bell. In SoCal that usually means a small leopard shark or a ray. Fun
this is a great rod for surf fishing. action is perfect and the rod is strong. i took it to malibu for a little surf fishing and had no problems landing a leapord shark. ive got it paired with a okuma abf 90. i liked it so much i ordered a 12 footer with a abf 60.
This may or may not have been the seller. But there is a part of me that is pretty sure it was. The rod came to me in a box that had been taped together. At first I thought the post office did it, but the tape used to 'repair' the box was the same tape that was originally used for shipping. The pole arrived broken and two rings werent bent severely. Fortunately - Amazon took care of replacement relatively quickly. But I would definitely advise opening up your box from them IMMEDIATELY to see if it's in good shape. The pole is definitely killer for the price. It's not the best pole I have, but for the money I wouldn't be able to get better. - Okuma - Rod - Fishing Rod'
