Dust Covers - keyboard protector, dust covers

I may be biased because I expected something other than a shower cap. Thats what this pretty much is, a strip of thin plastic with two straps underneath it to hold it in place. Not only is it cheap, it covers the vents on my laptop, and blocks the dvd drive from opening. Green Onions Supply RT-XU017 17 1/8-Inchx6 11/16-Inch Universal Keyboard Protector for Laptop with 17W-Inch Screen -1 Piece (Transparent)

I just got this product today and so far so good! It is very difficult finding keyboard covers, virtually no retail stores carry them so I resorted to Amazon. This product, so far, is working great. I have a Dell Inspiration 17.3 inch laptop with a seperate numeric keypad and it fits perfectly. Had to figure out exactly how the item slipped on, but it's a fantastic fit.

I LOVE IT!! I can hardly keep any now. When people that come by my office and see them, & once I tell them what they are for, they want to "test them out" I ordered several and now I am down to the one on my keyboard. It not only protects your keyboard from spills, dust and other foreign matter, but it also helps your typing skills by providing a "non slip" surface for your fingers. It is easily cleaned and lasts forever. Mine (even after a few cleanings) still look, feel and protect great!!

I normally don't write reviews. But for this product one I am so angry that I want write this. I have been into computer hardware before and have seen a lot of products that are used to cover keyboards, but none like this. This product is not at all worth the money. The picture shown does not match the product so don't be fooled. I bought two of these from the same vendor and both of them are already torn. Please don't waste your money on this product, like I did.

I paid 8 for it plus shipping, so 14.00 for a flimsy, very thin sheet of plastic with bands to wrap around the computer to hold it in place. The fit isn't right with wrinkles and the cover is covering the dvd drive and vents... it is not the silicone type that I was hoping for. terrible buy

I have a brand new wireless keyboard for my mac mini that I am absolutely in love with. However, I also have several pets and love eating at my desk while working. I looked for AGES for something to cover the keyboard (a logitech di novo) but of course, I couldn't find something that would fit exactly.

I could get one custom-made, but it would cost almost $25 dollars (not including shipping), and I don't trust companies that do not have pictures of the specific keyboard cover (since they are made to order). I wasn't a fan of those thin silicone sheets, either, only because many of the silicone covers/protectors I've had in the past have been magnets for hair and dust.

Then I came across this product. It took me a while to bring myself to order it, but finally though "why not, its only five bucks". I am so glad I did! Is it well made? Is it super fancy, and does it blend in seamlessly? Does it fit perfectly? I'd answer "no, not really" to all of these. However, it's a great product for the price. I have the straps around the keyboard, and taped one corner down behind the keyboard. No one can tell. It protects the entire thing. and the keyboard is about 17" by 6"!

The only bad thing I can say is that the material (feels like plastic, but very smooth, and not loud/crinkly) is that it's very thin. I have long nails at times, and I'm worried that they may eventually rip through. But so far, so good. I've been using the keyboard with the cover regularly for about a week now with no danger of that happening. I may just be paranoid.

In conclusion, if you can deal with a keyboard cover that does the job for a fair price, I'd recommend this product. - Dust Covers - Latop Keyboard Protector - Keyboard Protector'
