if you leave your laptop all the time plugged to the computer, the little yellow thing will melt, I am not saying with this that it will not work instantely,but that little hole will start being bigger and bigger and then, you will have to play with the plugger in order to get charged your laptop. I recommend you do not leave your laptop all the time plugged. I ordered this replacement cord on A THURSDAY was to take a week to get to me i went out of town on weekend returned monday morning and cord was here open box pluged in and it worked great. right out the box. i was happy havent been able to use my laptop in 2 months wasnt trying to spend $75.oo at best buy. i also enjoy and happy this cord comes with a green power light that lets me know it has power. because i couldnt tell with other cord if it had power or was battery dead but i started with the cheapest item and i was glad it was cord they go bad from strecthing, bending or pushing in from sitting or lap while plugged in so i ordered another because dog bit kids and it worked on there's also. cord was 10inchs shorter but nothing extension cord didnt solve. - Ac Adapter - Acer - Acer Aspire - Aspire'
