Body Glove - body glove, google

I really like this case. It's slim, covers most of the phone except for the appropriate camera/microphone/speaker holes. They are priced fairly. Most of all, it makes the notoriously slippery Nexus One easier to grip, with it's textured rubber pattern. The only thing is, when you DO drop it the case breaks in the corner. I bought another one, and later dropped it only to have the case crack in the same vulnerable spot. I almost bought yet another because it totally protects the phone, other than a drop to the floor. Body Glove Glove Snap-On Case for HTC Nexus One (Black)

I have been buying phone cases for years and the body glove case for the n1 is the best case for it period. The grip of the body glove is great at almost guaranteeing that it will never slip out of your hand for that unthinkable moment. Definite buy don't let others talk you out of it!!!.

++++++++++++

+ The Pros +

++++++++++++

[+] The rubbery-soft material makes for a solid, but comfortable grip

[+] The 2-piece enclosure snaps together easily and snug, no shifting or play

++++++++++++

+ The Cons +

++++++++++++

[-] The clip/stand is more bulky and obtrusive than it is useful or helpful

[-] To even use the clip/stand requires having to disassemble the 2-piece and swap-in an adapter for the clip to latch onto.

* Conclusion

I originally bought this case for myself, but I'm someone that's nearly obsessive about how I handle my phone. When I moved on to a different case (The Otterbox Commuter), I gave my Wife this case to use with her N1.

She's not as obsessive as I am about electronics care. Tossing her phone all willy-nilly in her purse is the norm. After only a couple of months of such, the top left corner of the case no longer snapped together. At some point the plastic 'hook' piece that keeps the 2-piece case together had broken.

Since then I've given my Wife the Otterbox (now THAT'S a protective case) and now carry my N1 bare (as careful as I am, and with its' already near impervious screen, I found I don't need anything).

As just a very basic case with a nice gripping surface, this Body Glove Snap-On will do the job, but don't expect longevity or anything higher than a foot drop-to-the-ground protection. - Body Glove - Nexus One - Google - Holsters'

Iphone 3g Screen Protector - screen protector, screen protectors

After spending $15 for a package of crystal film covers at the Apple store (I peeled an old, scratched one off the cover, went to use the spare that was included only to find that it had gathered dust and lint under the cover) and ruining the one screen protector that came with my new Speck Candyshell case (it had a piece of lint underneath that caused it to bubble), I figured I would take a chance on these screen protectors as I knew I didn't need anything fancy, just something to keep my keys from scratching my screen in my purse.

It was a great decision. Not only are they cheap, there are 5 of them. They are all packaged individually in their own plastic sleeve (no dust/lint collection from saving them in your desk!) and they all come with a cleaning cloth. I was initially confused by the double layer covers that you peel off the actual screen, but I actually prefer this to a regular screen protector that you peel from the backing only and apply.

I watched a great YouTube video showing you how to apply these types of screen protectors that have the dual backings. If you peel away the first layer as you apply the cover (this way your fingers do not ever have to touch the actual protector since you are touching the backing) and use a credit card to smooth out bubbles as you go, it comes out great. Then you peel off the top layer and it's perfect.

I am really glad I searched for these. Great value for what you get. Also, their customer service is great. Very responsive. 5-Pack Premium Reusable LCD Screen Protector with Lint Cleaning Cloth for Apple iPhone 3G 8GB 16GB [Accessory Export Packaging]

I've never left a review before, but wow! These are incredible! In the three months that I've had my iPhone, I've gone through 2 $24 screen protectors from Best Buy. (They assured me they were top of the line.) After that, I purchased some case mate screen protectors from Wal-Mart. There were three in the pack, and all three had flaws. Some little dot of something or other that prevented the cover from going on smoothly. I finally resorted to one of these that I'd gotten as a free gift from another purchase, and they're AWESOME! No flaws, easy to apply, perfect non-gummy protection. I love them!

Just received these, and was pleasantly surprised. I've worked with one other type of screen protector (the ones you have to cut out yourself), but don't consider myself an expert by any means.

As others have posted, the product comes as 5 separately-packaged screen protectors. I've only opened one so far, and it contained the screen protector and a piece of cloth. The cloth appears useless, so I threw it away.

The screen protector has protective film on both sides, and a tab affixed to each film, labeled 1 and 2. You simply peel off film #1, then apply the screen protector to your iPhone, then peel off film #2. Again, I'm not an expert by any means, but it worked perfectly for me on the first try. Here's what I did:

- First, I cleaned my iPhone screen completely, using the cloth that came with my phone.

- I positioned the phone horizontally on a table in front if me, so that the top of the phone was on my left, and the bottom of the phone on my right.

- I peeled off film #1, and holding it lightly by the edges with both hands, aligned the top of the film with the top of the phone, without letting it actually touch the screen yet

- Then I started with the top of the phone (my left hand), and set the first inch or so of the film down onto the phone, while keeping the rest of the protector off the surface with my right hand.

- I rubbed the bubbles out of the top section using my left hand, and then lifted my right hand up slightly and brought it towards my left a little. This curved the screen protector, and I was able to then lay it down on the phone moving slowly towards the bottom of the phone in a smooth, even manner.

Hope that makes sense, but I think the key was having the protector bend a little so that it laid down uniformly from side to side. When I was done, I just rubbed a few bubbles out of the very bottom of the phone and it was nearly perfect.

I don't see any of the rainbow effect mentioned by another reviewer, and this protector doesn't interfere with my case (CaseCrown) because my case covers the top edges of the phone. So, overall very satisfied with the protector, and should get a lot of mileage out of them since I have 4 more to use.

P.S. Those who complained about bits of glue being left behind may have tried to remove the tab from the outer film, when in fact you are supposed to remove the entire sheet of protective film using the tab. This could also explain the rainbow effect some have seen, if they inadvertently left the top layer of protective film on the screen protector.

Because you will have to try several times and waste couple protectors before having it on perfectly. The quality of the 5 protectors is not the same. The first one I tried gave me lots of air bubbles. The second protector itself is OK, but the small tab on the protector was hard to remove. It left a very visible glue goo on it. I finally had some luck with the third one, very few bubble, and small glue goo mark. The positive side is that they are so less expensive, as long as one of those protectors is good, you are OK. - Iphone 3g Accessories - Iphone 3g - Screen Protectors - Screen Protector'

Fitness Lifestyle - exercise, womens health

I have purchased several books devoted to strength training. I have to say, this book is the best I have found--by far.

What makes this book exceptional is how thorough it is and also how much variety it offers.

Exercises for home users--both those who use dumbbells, those who use resistance bands and those who use stability balls or all of the above--are offered. Exercises for gym dwellers are also given. This book caters to everyone in a very balanced manner.

The book covers upper body, lower body, core exercises and lots of stretching ideas.

While, sometimes, strength training can get confusing because one often questions which exercises are best, how much weight you need to use and how many reps to do, this book really does simplify the whole thing.

Also, there are both modified and advanced descriptions and photos for each exercise.

Usually when you come across a book on strength training, you see the same, basic moves you've seen (and probably done) a million times before. But Joan Pagano includes variations of moves even I, a fairly experienced exerciser, had never seen before.

The layout of the book is visually stimulating. Along with photos illustrating each exercise, there are illustrations showing which body parts are being used with each move.

The book was well-written as well. Joan's instructions are concise and encouraging.

Recently, I decided I wanted to start working out during TV commercials--just to add a bit of boost to my fitness routine. I found many exercises within this book I will be doing while watching TV.

I think this is an excellent book for an advanced exercise looking for a some new ideas. But more importantly, this is an awesome resource for a beginner. I will be purchasing this book for friends and family who are daunted by the idea of doing strength training. I suggest you do the same. Strength Training for Women

I checked this book out from the library 3 weeks ago, renewed it, and now am purchasing the book.

Target Audience:

- Beginning to intermediate level

- Women

- Home exercisers like myself who wish to obtain few equipments at a moderate cost

This book has the following sections:

A. First Moves: To get you started. Explains why and how to use the programs in this book to exercise.

B. 4 for Life: 4 exercises for full-body conditioning, if you never do anything else.

- Programs at a Glance

- Warm Up

- Individual Exercises

- Stretches / Cool-down

C. Lower Body Program

D. Upper Body Program

E. Core Body Program

(Sections C-E include the following)

- Programs at a Glance

- Individual Exercises

- Stretches

F: Useful Programs: 4 programs that combines individual exercises from sections B-E for some popular fitness goals

Great things about this book:

(1) Clearly written instructions for each exercise

(2) Easy to follow suggested programs, depending on your fitness goal and level

(3) Well-organized content

(4) Visually appealing diagrams, photos, and layout design

I like to workout at home with video fitness DVD's. With this book, I have been able to customize and add to my existing programs to target specific areas as well as full-body conditioning while purchasing very few low-cost equipments. It has been a very helpful tool, and is a book that I will refer to over and over again.

I bought this book to start free weight training at home. It is wonderful for home use. The author describes the benefits of weight training and how to lift weights properly(which I found very useful as a first time weight lifter). I love the descriptions that the author gives for each exercise. The author also color codes which exercises to do for each level of training. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is first starting out with free weights.

Joan Pagano's first love is yoga, and it shows in the type of exercises in this book. She also appears to have a cross-disciplinary interest in physical therapy; I recognize several exercises (all excellent) which I learned from physical therapists in recovering from injuries.

I give Ms. Pagano an A+ for both clarity and variety. The book has clear descriptions of exercises, and excellent photos with a white dotted line showing the muscles each exercise is supposed to work. I was able to understand how to properly perform several stretches which had been unclear in other books. The variety is excellent, including many exercises for rubber resistance bands and for those big, fun, colorful stability balls. I was pleasantly surprised to find several pages on exercises for improving posture.

Where the book really shines is in providing a safe, approachable beginning for women who are either very out of shape or recovering from illness. For example, she de-scarifies the push-up, that ultimate symbol of military-grade fitness, by showing four less physically demanding variations in order of gradually increasing difficulty.

But I do have one major caveat: If you're hoping for a serious weight training book--which will help you build muscle--this is not the one. Ms. Pagano seems to seriously underestimate women's strength. Doesn't she know we lift grocery bags, babies and suitcases in airports? The section on push-ups, for example, fails to include the standard 'man's" push-up. I would think that working through the other four would be with a goal of getting there, to the most difficult one. Nowhere in the book does she ever show a barbell, and her choice of dumbbell weights (mostly 3-8 lbs, with a maximum of 15 pounds recommended once in the book for lat rows) is almost insulting. Three to five pounds might be okay for a beginner looking to learn proper form, but after a few weeks most women can lift a lot more. Lifting weights which don't challenge your muscles will just waste your time, and very likely lead to discouragement when you see no results.

I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for yoga and physical-therapy style exercises for general well-being and injury prevention. It would also be useful as an adjunct to a serious weight-training program found elsewhere--just take the weight recommendations with a grain of salt and listen to your body instead. - Fitness Lifestyle - Weight Training - Womens Health - Exercise'

Garmin Accessories - gps case, nuvi case

Product shipped quickly. Is protective carrier for my Garmin 5 inch GPS unit. Is made of soft neoprene and has 2 zipper compartments: one for the GPS unit and one for accessories. However, the latter is not big enough to hold the power cord. It is big enough for memory chips from a camera, etc.

I liked the product so much I bought a second one for my other vehicle and GPS. rooCASE Neoprene Sleeve Case (Grey) for Garmin nĂ¼vi 1490 / 1490T / 1490LMT / 1450 / 1450T / 1450LMT / 2460 / 2460LT / 2460LMT 5-Inch GPS Navigator

Pros:

Soft material so as not to scratch the screen, fits a 5" screen perfectly, easy to transport and looks durable'

Cons:

i was lead to believe I could fit my power cord/traffic receiver in the case. It simply does not fit! :( This is one of the main reasons I bought this case.

My Garmin Nuvi fits perfectly! I kept the foam pad inside for protection and there is still plenty of room. I keep lens wipes in the outside pocket. Very convenient with the strap to carry it with when I leave the car.

Product is OK but expected the padding to be thicker and firmer, offering better protection to screen and the electronics. The fit is perfect for the Garmin Nuvi 1490 LMT. Some have been critical that item does not accomodate accessories; that wasn't fair because it is not designed for that. Do not carry the vehicle charging cords tightly bundled because bending will damage internal wires, causing them to break and short-circuit, especially where the flexible cord is attached to all the hard plastic parts! Amazon product reviews have been an excellent research feature beneficial to prospective buyers.

The "Roo" neoprene case arrived with the Garmin 1490T. The case is well constructed of good quality nylon- skinned neoprene similar to a light dive or water sports suit. All seams are well sewn and the zippers are self repairing and non rusting. The 5" Garmin fits snugly with no excessive movement. The smaller side compartment will easily hold the "quick start" directions and the computer interface cord. I'm not sure how water resistant the case might be, but I can say that it will protect its contents from random damage at the hands of those who would move things around in a car or truck by tossing them into the most convenient location available. In all, this case is a good value and does it's job well.

Good product at a great price with outstanding delivery. Seems like I received a day or 2 after ordering. Case fits Garmin 1490LMT 5 inch screen just right. Comes with loop for wrist or can be put in pocket or purse. If you need a case, can not go wrong with this one. - Garmin Accessories - Nuvi Case - Gps - Gps Case'

Running - running, heart rate monitor

I bought this HR monitor watch not only so that I could get an idea of where I was during running, but also so that I could improve my conditioning during my runs. The chest strap is comfortable & stays in place (ladies should wear under your bra). The watch has a lot of features, some of which I haven't tried yet. I love the indiglo feature, perfect for those pre-dawn runs! It's definitely helped me improve my pace! Timex Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Plum/Silver, Mid Size

My wife initially bought this wanting something a little more streamlined and user-friendly than her Garmin, plus, yea it's purple. From the first day she has been very pleased with it's function and usability.

She was lucky enough to have had a Body Bugg(from The Biggest Loser TV show) system shortly after to compare it to. With all the items you needed to buy the Body Bugg was a couple hundred dollars easy and the membership was still in trial, so more money once that started up.

The Body Bugg is probably accurate for an individual who might feel as though walking down stairs is physically taxing. If you are physically fit or even newly pursuing a workout program you will see caloric stats from 1000 one day to 300 the next in the same exact workout. Essentially it's a gimmick but since the Timex was never taken out of the mix, we were able to see how accurate and consistent this device was for HRM and certain calorie measures.

The Bottom Line: If you want an easy accurate HRM this is a great device to get; lightweight; stylish; user-friendly, just don't abuse it or the watch band probably won't hold up. While the calorie burn stats seem to be pretty accurate when compared to medical and fitness formulas, it is taken on a 'Lap' basis, which means you can't leave it running 24/7 and more closely monitor your patterns like calories burned in sleep. Still a great product for the price point. She likes it, I'm happy, I would recommend it.

I am a triathlete and 3 months after purchasing this product, when swimming, water formed under the glass and stopped functioning. The watch claims to be water resistant to 100m, I did not go lower than 10 meters!

This was a gift to my sister who does Ironmans. She tells me it took some time to figure everything out and get it working. But that done, she is pleased to see it does have all the different features she wanted. Here's a comment from her: "at the end of the run, it tells me how long I have spent in the training zone I had programmed, what my max/min HR was, how many calories I burnt." One negative perhaps is that it's "not quite as easy to read on the run" as it has a smaller face to a previous HRM she had. All-in-all however, she is happy with this Timex..

I really like this heart rate monitor although I do have to agree with a few of the other comments concerning calories burned, this morning on the treadmill the watch gave me a calorie read out of 349 calories and while the treadmill had 279 calories used. The treadmill reading seemed to be more in line with the workout I had done. The heart rate readings appear to be very accurate and I like being able to see the review that is given at the end of a workout for total time, time in heart rate zone and average heart rate.

I would definitely recommend this heart rate monitor to others. It has also been fun to wear it at work (I wait tables) and see that when we get busy I am often getting a real workout even while I am working.

Ordered this watch/heart-rate monitor as motivation. My Nursing class was having a competition for 10 weeks on 'who could burn the most calories.' I wanted to find out how many calories I was burning per workout and which workouts burned the most. I'm extremely happy with this purchase! I tested the HR monitor against the ones at the gym and this was spot-on accurate. I was worried that the chest strap would be uncomfortable and it isn't. I even wore my heart rate monitor to work (waitress) and found out that I burn almost 2,000 calories on my shifts!!

I bought this for my girlfriend and she loved it. The watch looks good so she even uses it when she is not working out. I have the same model but full size and it has completely change the way I train, you get more control over your workout and use your time more efficiently. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to improve their performance.

So far so good. This watch has done for me exactly what I wanted. It's comfortable and fairly easy to set-up, plus the watch is nice looking. The pricing on it was extremely competitive. This is my second iron-man watch. I'm still wearing my first, however it does not come with the heartrate monitor. My first watch has a crack in the screen, so I can no longer wear it in water, but other than that it still functions great. I'm hoping this watch lasts just as long or longer. It doesn't have some of the perks that other heartrate monitor watches have (like counting steps, etc.), but for the price, you can't beat it!

I researched a lot of HRM before deciding on this particular model. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this watch to others.

I am an individual who excercises 4-5 days/week for health and weight management. I was interested in seeing how my different workouts (running, spinning, weight/cardio classes, etc...) compared as far as my exertion/heart rate and the number of calories burned.

This HRM is easy to set up (although the instruction manual could be a little clearer and in a better order) and easy to use once you have it set with your maximum heart rate and other options. I am a petite female (5ft. 2in. approximately 110 lbs) and I have to wear the watch on the tightest setting. The chest strap fits great. I don't even realize I have the chest strap on and it fits easily under a sports bra for a comfortable fit. The face of the watch is a good size (I wouldn't want it any bigger for my size wrist)---the screen is easy to read and it is easy to toggle between settings. I know other reviewers mentioned it being easy to hit a button by mistake but I haven't had that problem. The calories burned and the heart rate monitor seem accurate and I haven't had any problems with interference from gym equipment or other HRMs. One of the selling points for me to purchase Timex was that I could change the batteries myself or take it to a local battery retailer and have them do it. I know other manufacturers (Polar for example) have you send your watch in for battery replacement.

Overall, I love my watch so far and it has become an asset to my workouts. I would highly recommend this watch to others.

On a side note, the first HRM that was shipped to me was defective. Amazon was wonderful and easy to work with on an exchange/return! - Hrm - Heart Monitor Watch - Heart Rate Monitor - Running'

Photo Quality Paper - photo quality paper, photo paper

I needed some extra sheets of 4x6 photo paper to run the ink cartridge in my Picturemate down to empty. So I thought I would try this premium paper. The Epson website is very vague about what paper will work in the Picturemate. Well my experiment shows that the S041727 paper works better than the T5570 paper that comes with the refill kit. The S041727 paper is thicker and whiter than standard picturemate paper. Epson High-Gloss Premium Borderless Photo Paper, 4 x 6 Inches, 100 Sheets per Pack (S041727)

I purchased this paper because it was the cheapest brand out there- and printing your own photos is an expensive hobby. I had intended to use Epson papers for trial runs or copies for friends. However, the quality of my photos was incredible using epson paper. The colors are much more vivid and they don't fade over time as some photo papers do. I now use Epson paper for all my 4x6 photos and I save money!

Not only is this photo paper the most inexpensive paper I have used, but it is simply the best. The printed photos have a glossy finish that makes them indistinguishable from the regular film prints. I have used Kodak and HP premium papers and they don't hold a candle to the Epson brand. I have also used the older Epson paper and a no-name brand and neither were as bright and brilliant as this paper. I am using an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 and the prints are fabulous.

I just love my PictureMate photo printer by Epson but the ink and papper packs they sell always run out of paper before the ink and this paper is wonderful to have on hand! The pictures come out perfect and look as good if not better than the paper that somes in the ink/paper combo pack! Highly recommend it!

I bought this paper after my mom gave me a box of Epson 8.5x11 paper she didn't need. I was really impressed by the quality of the pictures rendered on that paper by my printer. When the paper ran out I looked for an economical replacement and found the price of most photo papers to be prohibitive - on the order of 40 cents per page. Since you can only get 2 4x6 pics from a letter-sized sheet of paper, that comes to about 20 cents per print, not counting the cost of ink. Finally I stumbled upon this paper - Epson S041727 - and the price per print was around 12 cents, which rivals the cheapest Internet photo printing services I've found.

If you print a lot of 4x6 pictures, this is a great value for a great product.

I printed a few photos using this paper on a Canon S750 printer and the results matched that of Canon photo paper. Very impressed. On the other hand, Kodak paper gave very bad prints on the same printer.

Because of the reviews written by Sinisa and the others, I decided to try this photo paper after making the mistake of buying inkjet photo paper at the grocery store. This Epson S041727 photo paper is outstanding! On the package it states that it is for use with the Stylus series of printers, but it works fabulously with the PictureMate as well. The PictureMate is a great photo printer, and a bargain to boot. I agree with the other reviewers also that the paper runs out long before the ink does! This made me worry at first, but now that the solution is found with this paper, I feel good in giving the printer a 5 star rating as well!!! Stop looking for photo paper, you have found the right stuff!

This paper actually makes a huge difference in the quality of my photo prints from my epson printer. I was very skeptical of paper brand making much difference. It intuitively seemed to me that Kodak premium, HP Premium, Epson Premium should all be roughly equal.

Having tested all 3 side by side Epson paper is clearly the top producer in my epson printer.

The difference is also noticable in my HP Printers but not as significant. (the epson printer produces better quality prints than the hp printer regardless of the paper)

I am sold on the epson paper and intend to use it for all photo prints from this point forward

I have an epson picturemate photo printer (prints only 4 x 6 sized photos). I wasn't sure of what photo paper to use since the epson website seems ambiguous at best as to what paper to use for certain printers (the picturemate being one of them). Someone reviewing this paper said it works well with the picturemate. It works beautifully with the picturemate! I don't understand why Epson won't mention this fact on their website. - Photo Quality Paper - Paper - Epson - Photo Paper'

router table - router table, tool - woodworking

I've been using a table mounted router for years, but this is the first router plate I've used. Overall, it is a great addition to my shop. I can easily lift the router out of the table to change bits and the two removable concentric rings adjust the opening for various sizes up to about a 3 1/2" opening for raised panel bits. The shortcomings are minor. The Allen screws for leveling the plate vibrate out of adjustment easily. I think a little Teflon tape or the right kind of Locktite will solve that problem. The concentric rings snap into the plate, but they are not snug and vibrate a little. I sometimes have to be sure I set the work piece down on the edge of the outer ring before running the piece through the bit. Not a real problem though. The plate was half the price of some that I found on line. (Since purchasing this plate, I found that Harbor Freight sells what appears to be the same product for somewhat less cost.) MLCS 9338 All-In-one Router Plate Kit

I purchased this plate from another company HF (Not Amazon). I have had it in use for about two years and about a year ago the edges began to spring up a bit in the corners causing a very big problem with stock bumping while routing. Needless to say the "bump" would transfere to the piece and ruin it! I have dealt with this off and on since then (I dont use my router table as often as I could/should) I am now buying an aluminum plate to replace it and wish I had never wasted money/time on the HF unit. I hope this review cause those shoppers out there to pass on this unit and in fact pass on all phenolic plates and go to the metal ones for long term satisfaction.

I ended up returing this and getting the Rousseau plate. This one does not have inch markings on either side of the center hole, which makes it difficult to position the fence. Other than that it is the similar to the Rousseau plate.

The product description says it is "approximately 9 x 12 inches". That may be fine for someone who will cut a hole in their router table for the insert, but for those who already have a router table, the exact measurements are needed. Pretty much the standard for inserts is 9-1/4-Inch by 11-3/4-Inch. I would buy one of these if I knew for sure the exact size. - Router Table - Tool - Woodworking'
