Ipod Classic Case - shades, ipod classic case

This is honestly one of the best cases I have ever bought. I love how sleek and slim Apple's Ipod is, but I hate most of the cases out there because they are soooo big and bluky or do really dont protect that well. I have tried numerous cases, such as the clear hard cases several silicon cases, and the skins, each have several drawbacks, but the hard cases get dirt in them that scratch up the ipod, plus they are hard to remove. Silicon cases make it hard to turn the click wheel and stick in pockets, and the skins dont cover part of the ipod on corners and such.

After reading several reviews I decided to give Shades a chance. I got my case in the mail in about one business day. I love the case! It completely covers my ipod, doesnt interfere with the click wheel, is super sleek and slim, and is super easy to remove to clean. I would definitely recommend this case to to all my friends and family, in fact I am going to order one for my mom's birthday! Shades iPod Classic 6G/7G Case/Skin - 80, 120, 160GB(2009 Model) - Ultra Violet

I ordered this product after reading several positive reviews.

The first shipment of the item was defective (the clear plastic over the video screen was scratched bad enough that it showed when trying to watch videos) so I reported the situation to customer service. They were fast to respond to my e-mail, polite, and quickly sent out a replacement item for me.

Other than that one manufacturing defect, the case was beautiful. The color is brilliant, even on the black model of the iPod Classic, and the scroll wheel works surprisingly well. I have had other cases of smiliar design made from similar materials, and the biggest problem I have had with them is that using the scroll wheel is pretty much impossible because it doesn't register the touch.

Kudos to the folks over at Shades for getting it right and producing such a great product - and in so many vibrant colors, too... I can't decide which one to get next!

Shades iPod Classic 6G Case/Skin - 80, 120, 160GB(2009 Model) - Serene Green

This is not my first rodeo or iPod case for that matter. But this is definitely the best case I have had. The pod still fits in my stereo docking station as well as the car mount and all the jack-plugs still work. My screen is unscratched and the track wheel is clean. My 160 GB classic pod has the chrome finish back that used to show finger prints from oil on my hands, well no more. And my screen is always clean and not a single scratch on it. Easy to to put on and at the price I can change colors to match my car interior etc. Good stuff!!!

The color on this is great, espcially with the silver. However, once the case is on, the click wheel is impossible to use. You end up pressing too hard to adjust the volume which keeps changing the song, which is just silly. It is too thick to use the click wheel and too thin to provide protection. Not a good option.

I bought this case because I liked the color and I had a similar one for my itouch before that I loved. However, to my great disappointment and frustration, this case is the worst I've ever had. The most aggravating element is that the plastic doesn't allow your touch to be registered so I can't scroll, which with an ipod classic does pose quite the problem. Secondly, the case sticks to the ipod creating bubbles and spots that one, look awful, and two, interfere with visibility of the screen. So, hoping to solve these problems of scrolling and visibility, I decided to cut out the clear plastic that covers the wheel and screen. Now, I was sure this would greatly improve my experience with the case at least making it usable, however, I soon found that the case is so tight and stuck to the ipod that it is impossible to remove the case without tearing or cutting it off. So all around, NOT pleased with this purchase.

When I saw this I thought this will be perfect. Now that I have it, I honestly think the price I paid for it was too much. All it is, is plastic and the pictures are very deceiving. I like the color it's perfect. I like the way that it makes my iPod stay slim but the click wheel doesn't work when it's on. I had to cut that out. Other than that it's a great product. Maybe you should not have plastic over where the click wheel is. Also, it's very hard to get my iPod out of it. Literally took me 4 minutes to get it out of the case so I could clean it. I like that it covers my screen and protects my iPod but it isn't worth $18.

The case goes on fairly easily and it's good protection, but I literally had to CUT MY IPOD OUT OF THE CASE! I had to make a cut along the side so I could get it out, after nearly ripping off my fingernails trying to take it off. I guess some people never want to take their ipod out ever again, but I like to take it out every so often to clean it, and you really can't do that. It's also very difficult to scroll. Sometimes it takes multiple tries to turn up the volume or scroll to another song. - Shades - Ipod Skin - Ipod Classic Case - Ipod Accessories'

Alarm Clock - midland, weather alert

I own a whole Nor'easters worth of weather radios. I have had an interest in the weather since the time of being a boy and longing for a blizzard to come along and make my day by closing all the schools. Most weather radios are pretty much designed to be either stand alone table models, or portable units either in a hand held or carry along design. Between the house and the outbuildings here I have a total of 8 of both varieties, with 4 of them being Midland models. This WR11 unit is sorta in a class by itself as it is a traditional looking clock radio designed for your nightstand with full weather features. The radio features are all pretty standard with the AM FM selector and alarm. It gets good overall reception for what you would expect for its size and price. A quick flip of a switch can have you listening to the NOAA weather broadcasts that are available 24/7. Every Midland radio I have ever owned always got excellent weather reception and this one is no exception. Upon its first startup, you turn the frequency selector until your local NOAA station is located and then it is permanently locked on. Unless you move, you never have to tune in to find the weather again.

The weather alert feature is a good one to have included, especially if you happen to live in an area prone to tornadoes, flash floods, or any other weather emergency that can erupt suddenly. But it is also useful if you happen to be the type to not pay much attention to the weather until it starts to get really interesting, or scary. Setting the alert feature to on gives you the option of either an alarm, voice, or light display only. Unless you enjoy being possibly awakened in the middle of the night by an alarm that will definitely leave your heart pounding, I would suggest the voice alert that is far more subtle. (Or the light only display if you happen to be that light a sleeper to take notice of it). Keep in mind also that this radio receives all weather, as well as a whole range of civil defense/Amber alert bulletins as well. (An Amber alert issued in Massachusetts just last week at the time of this writing was heard on this radio, as well as my others set to alert). Its a solid little radio with a generous display that is nicely back lit without being too intrusive, and the buttons and dials are easy to reach and use.

One last item as to the alert feature. This radio does not have SAME technology. That is, it is not able to distinquish between alerts issued in your specific zip code, as opposed to county or regional alerts. In other words, if you have the alert feature set to on, you will recieve all alerts in your general area whether they specifically apply to your locale or not. If it is a soild, table top weather radio with alert model you are looking for that can be programmed as to your own specific area, may I suggest the Midland WR300. It is a little more expensive, and more designed for the weather enthusiast than the casual user, but it is a top of the line model that does possess the SAME technology. I have enclosed a link to it at the end of this review. On the other hand, the Midland WR11 is a fine model if what you are interested in is a small well designed dependable radio for your bedroom, or any other place such a clock radio model will suit you. In my opinion a fine little unit... MIDLAND WR300 Weather Radio Midland WR11 AM/FM Clock Radio with NOAA All Hazard Weather Alert

Radio is just what I wanted. It was smaller than I had expected but that has proven to be a benefit as I don't have much room on my nightstand. This unit replaces a older clock weather radio which was having trouble with drift or staying on the station. This unit has all the weather bands preprogrammed so there is no drift. The sound it good and there are different alert modes for weather bulletins. Believe me the "siren" mode can wake even the heaviest sleeper! Fortunately, there are other, quieter modes (voice, LED light) to alert you when severe weather threatens your area.

Nice compact size, good audio and signal reception, but one glaring design flaw: There is no instruction in the user's manual about how to disable the clock radio alarm feature without also disbling the weather alert feature and no amount of fiddling with the settings is able to remedy this problem. If you want one mainly for the weather alert feature, keep looking. Also, this unit only receives weather alerts, not others like Amber Alerts.

This is exactly what you want if you want an easy to use radio/clock/weather alert radio! It is easy to use, and does what it says. Doesn't have all of the background noise that other radios we have used in the past have. Highly recommended!

I bought this radio about 4 months because our neighborhood has had a few too many close calls with tornados. The radio performs well. It announces EVERY weather and flood alert in the ENTIRE area covered by St Louis NOAA. That is a huge area. After being awaken 6 times last night by thunderstorm alerts a half a state away I ordered the WR300. Unlike the WR11, the WR300 has S.A.M.E. tech which allows filter out warnings that do not apply to the area you are actually in and you can also filter out all alerts but the ones about life-threatening situations. Hopefully in a week I will no longer be awoken by an alert about the threat of a thunderstorm 100 miles away. I wish I had spent the extra $15 a few months ago. - Midland - Emergency Radio - Weather Alert - Alarm Clock'

Awesome Speakers - best value, yamaha

I've wanted to install outdoor speakers on the deck of my house, and after purchasing a pair elsewhere which I returned because of poor quality, I selected these, primarily based on reviews which had been submitted. Thanks everyone.

I installed these speakers yesterday and spent an evening on the deck listing to beautiful music coming from these speakers. They are excellent, sound is perfectly balanced between them, and I'm very satisfied.

They were easy to install and the packaging was very well done. Yamaha NS-AW150 2-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair, Black)

I own a restaurant and needed to get rid of my music provider and replace the sound system. They had big Bose speakers hanging in the ceiling. I replaced them with these. The Yamaha sound is ten times better then their Bose speakers. I bought them new with the free shipping. These are one of the best set of speakers for the sound. Bass is even there. I will be buying these for my rear speakers for my home theater as they will do the job. I'm glad I read the reviews and made this purchase. Can't go wrong for the price.

Easy to install, just needed a ladder and a cordless drill/screwdriver. A Wire stripper is also reccomneded for your speaker wires. Comes with mounting bracket. I put these under the eaves of our front porch, partly protected from the elements. We've had some good storms in the last 3 weeks and these are nice and strudy. They even come with an extra safety wire, reccomended to use in case the speakers ever come loose.

Sound is fantastic. I have these hooked up to an old cheap receiver and still great. Highly reccomended I will probably order another pair for our deck out back.

I return a pair of wireless speakers and bought these instead. I am very happy with the sound and the simplicty of operation (compared to wireless). I have them on my screened porch for music and NPR. Running the wires was not easy, but it was worth it.

I purchased these speakers for an outdoor theater I was setting up for the kids, they sound great! I have purchased more expensive speakers with far less sound quality than these. Definately worth the 75 bucks!

These speakers are great. We just enlarged our screened in porch and mounted the two speakers on the two corners of the porch. Mounting them was a breeze (according to my husband) and the sound is fantastic. For the price, you can't beat these speakers. We also installed an on/off/volume switch on the wall and can now listen to the house stereo and TV as low or as loud as we like.

For the price these speakers are absolutely great. I used 2 of them for a 10x25 concrete patio. Mounted each one on the inside patio corners of the house (I had to mount via vinyl siding/wood so you will need some extra mounted stuff - I just used a thin piece of wood to place behind the vinyl, so it would not buldge in, and some larger screws to anchor thru that into the wood along side the house - the speakers are not heavy). I angled the speakers facing towards the center of the patio, and they sound INCREDIBLE. We stream HD music out there and it sounds like a live concert. The 5" create outstanding bass. Thumbs up if your on a budget. Shipping was fast. - Best Value - Yamaha - Speakers - Awesome Speakers'

Economics

I am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market, and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:

1. They are thin, easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.

2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you, like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)

3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.

4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.

5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)

One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom, then Huggies will fit your baby better. This, I believe, explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.

Hope this review was helpful!

I made the huge mistake of buying the baby dry after reading through the reviews. I thought that for the price, why not try them. What a huge mistake! I should have just bought a smaller amount to try them first. Instead we have been using these for over a month now and I have had to clean up a poop spill at least every other day. My baby was 4 months old when we started using these and since she is not eating solids yet, the poop is pretty runny. The baby dry don't absorb the runny poop and it tends to just go right up the back side of the diaper onto her outfit and usually whatever or whoever she is lying on. It's just not worth the money saved! I will only buy the Swaddlers from now on. Hope this helps someone wondering which to buy Swaddlers or Baby Dry, DEFINITELY go with the SWADDLERS!!

It must depend on your child because I tried the cruisers after always using baby dry on my son and they failed us several times. I went right back to baby dry and no more leaks. I have also tried other brands and I loved Huggies for my daughter but they don't work for my son. Funny how each is different. I am a mother of 4 and Luvs worked for my other son. You just go with what works for your child. I also have noticed that they work differently for different ages as well. Good idea to try a few out before you buy the jumbo packs.

Like other reviewers suggested, the size description is wrong. My five month old is about 15 lbs and a perfect size 2, and this size 1-2 is only up to 15 pounds. I'd say it fits up to size 1 1/2 comfortably. Pampers sells a size straight size 2 in smaller packs. Pampers diapers are great; easy to re-strap if you don't do it right the first time. The smell is pleasant, and the design cute sesame street characters. I recommmend, just make sure your baby is just barely out of size 1 to get this size 1-2!

I used to use the more expensive Pampers Cruisers but thought I'd try the Baby-Dry to save some money. I bought a pack at a local store first to make sure the fit and performance was good. I liked them just fine. Nice stretchy tabs, much like the Cruisers. So I ordered from Amazon. I ordered three cases to take advantage of a promotion Amazon was running. But the diapers I received must be old stock, before Pampers put the "flex" stretchy sides on the Baby-Dry diapers. The older expiration dates on the Rewards code confirms this. Maybe they've gotten rid of the old stock; then those newer diapers would rate 4.5 stars. These non-flex diapers barely close to fit my baby whereas the flex ones were plenty big. It irks me that Amazon posts a picture of the "flex" diapers and delivers a different, inferior product.

I love Pamper's Swaddlers. I've tried Huggies and both Pampers brands, and out of all of them Swaddlers are my favorite. That being said, the Baby Dry diapers are terrible. With Swaddlers you can adjust the fit, and the diapers are really soft. Baby Dry diapers feel like they're recycled and and I really dislike the sticky waist straps. They're shorter so you can't adjust the fit as easily, and the waist is always loose--with a boy that's a very bad idea because he tends to get his clothes wet through the TOP of the diaper instead of the sides now. I can't wait until we use these up because I will never buy Baby Dry again.

I have three children in diapers. My oldest is 4 years old and is autistic. We have not been able to potty train him yet.

We tried several brands only to find out that Pampers Baby Dry was always the one we went back to. No question! No leaks! But the cost of our diapers just adds up. Amazon has the absolute cheapest price I have found - in stores or on-line. And free shipping, and I got (...) off with a promotion for baby items over (...) prurchased. I made out! And never had to leave my door! Thanks Amazon! Really!'

Fitness Gear - fitness gear, weight

I use mine for push-ups and pull-ups. I have found the weights relatively easy to put in and take out (snug fit but I wouldn't want it to baggy). I find the straps adjustable and the clips allow me to take on and off quickly. I am extremely satisfied and feel I got a my value for the money. Valeo WV40 40-Pound Weighted Vest

I purchased this weight vest to use during jogs, and it has served me quite well in this regard thus far. The vest consists of forty (twenty on the back, twenty on the front) bags of sand that weigh one pound each, for a total of forty pounds. The vest is secured to your body both by velcro, and buckles (the plastic kind that you'd find on a life vest). Getting the vest on is somewhat difficult the first time, and I would suggest loading the back twenty before you put it on, and then loading the front twenty once you've got it on. The only problem I have run into thus far with this vest is the lack of padding in the shoulder area, or to be more specific, the absence of padding. The only "padding" on the shoulders is a piece of what I'd assume is cardboard that is sandwiched between the two pieces of nylon. This leads to shoulder discomfort quite quickly, and the only solution I've come up with is to either sew foam padding into a t-shirt at the shoulders, or to the vest at the shoulders. I haven't done either at this point, but this simple step will save me a lot of discomfort. Why the manufacturer wouldn't have stuffed five cents worth of foam into the shoulders is beyond me, but it is a simple enough alteration to make.

The product information says that "one size fits most". I wear a mens XL, and there is plenty of extra room left in the straps. I'd say that anyone up to a mens XXL would probably fit into this vest. For those seeking lower weight to start, the bags can be removed, so this could easily be used as anything from a one to forty pound vest with ease while you work your way up. I've used this vest about ten times now, and I don't detect any sort of tearing or fraying at the joints, even though I'm using the full weight. If it weren't for the lack of padding in the shoulders, I'd have given this vest a 5/5 instead of the 4/5 it received from me. All things considered, I would recommend this vest to others.

I've been using the vest now for about 6 weeks and it's been great so far. I do however have some complaints.

The lowest strap, the "belt" seems to like to slip off on the right side when you use this to do any type of jumping exercise. I believe this to be that 1. it has a smaller section of velcro on it than the other side and 2. you used velcro to attach it in the first place.

I think the lowest strap should be attached like the rest or go through belt loops.. not held on by velcro. That's the only part that slips loose and then you have the bottom of the vest flopping around.

Also, on the back, I'm noticing that in one of the pouches the thread that sections off the pouches is already starting to come loose.

All in all it's a decent vest; it does its job. Just could use a redesign.

I love this vest. I wore this vest at 105 lbs on a very petite 5'1'' frame. This vest will tighten and fit anybody. the weight distributes so evenly. I have to say i miss being without it! I can't wait to get another one.

I've worn this vest when i was losing my preggo weight and used the vest to keep my weight 40 lbs heavier (so that it was easier to burn calories). Without it, i burned almost nothing. I contribute all of my weight loss and very successful conditioning to this vest.

This vest is absolutely solid.

Pros:

- Holds tight against your body.

- Very solid build that can take real abuse.

Cons:

- Slimmer people might find it a little loose on the bottom.

- Weighted packs are really snug. This can be both a pro and a con. Snug means they won't move around when running, jumping, etc., but it also means they'll be difficult to get in, which is something you want to plan for before your workout

- Netted construction WILL tear up your underarm when doing dips (if you do them quickly). I resolved this by putting a t-shirt over it when doing my workouts.

This vest was a gift to me from my wife. I find the single PRO of solid construction far outweighs all the CONS since you can work around them with a little planning. Solid construction means you're going to have a vest that you can can withstand some real abuse, like sliding on the ground, and being tossed around everytime you remove it, and you KNOW it won't fall apart... something I've seen other vests crumble on

All in all, a great vest. I highly recommend this over others

So here we go:

I have a medium to large frame, I am 6'1" and weigh 209lbs. I have to put the vest on fairly tight (I dislike it when it moves around and this seems to be the only way to work) however I have to balance this with my ability to breathe in it.

This is the first weight vest I have bought, and I really enjoy it.

I enjoy having the choice to put the weights all over my chest and back and some on shoulders where I want to. If I have empty pouches, I can put my keys and gu and such in them.

Right now I am at 20 lbs running 5 mi around 8:30/mi pace and this works for me.

I could see how someone that has a very thin body or is on the small side in general would not like this product as I have fairly tightened to get it to stay still on my body and bounce minimally. If you are larger than me, this will work for you as the vest has plenty of room to expand; in fact I think a weight vest will help you shed pounds even faster. I personally bought this product because I am at fitness level with my body fat and have plateaued in terms of weight loss (I lost more when I was heavier).

Seem to be of good quality, however I dislike how the loose straps dangle and fly. Otherwise, no complaints. - Valeo - Exercise - Fitness Gear - Weight'

Soap Saver

This soap holder isn't winning any design and style awards, but for the price it's hard to beat. I got sick of my bar of soap getting mushy and decided to buy a soap holder. I was a little wary of this soap holder only because it was SO cheap, but it works fine. In fact, it's great!

As far as looks go, it's a clear, flexible plastic, and it has prongs that are a little more widely spaced on one wide, and a little more closely spaced on the other. If you're looking for a simple, no-frills soap holder that just gets the job done, then here you go! :) Interdesign 30100 Soap Holder

We're living out of a hotel for the foreseeable future in the middle of a relocation. That's fine, but I hate cold, soggy, squishy soap. I really didn't feel like investing in some designer soap dish before we decided where we're actually going to end up living, so I took a chance on this little guy. It's perfect! It's just the right size for a standard bar of soap, the raised nubs are on both sides so the soap is kept well elevated, and (though they are hard to see in the pictures here) there are several holes in the oval platform in between the nubs so water easily drains away rather than stagnating. It's functional, inexpensive, and fairly nice looking. It will be coming with us no matter where we end up.

This not only keeps the soap off the surface of the dish and prevents the mess but it actually has holes to drain the water. When I looked for one at a hardware store, they kept showing me liquid soap. Of course he was young. I still use the ivory soap to wash my hands before messing with my contact lens so this is a must.

I got this because my husband somehow goes through so many bars of soap! The worst is when there's still a good chunk of soap left, but you can't really use it because it's stuck to the shower and it has evaporated so much.

This dish isn't really pretty, but it does the job well. Like other reviewers said, it lets water drain from the soap bar so it doesn't melt away. The soap holder gets soap on it (obviously) but it comes off much easier than it does from your actual shower.

Price was reasonable and it does what it says. Ideal for anyone who, like me, is sick of wasting money by going through soap quickly!

After researching all the fancy type of soap holders i decided on 2 major features.

1) The holder should allow water to drain away from the soap.

2) The holder should be small enough to fit in one of the top corners of the tub and leave room for some of my shampoos.

I wasn't looking for something that hangs of my shower head, didn't want mount something into the tile or get a metal piece that will rust.

This was the best blend of features. its also transparent and should match most tub, tile and soap color pallets. It is a bit pricey for just a piece of prickly, transparent rubber. But It does look nice in my tub.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Well, maybe would have preferred a little fancier, but it works for saving the soap and was well priced. We bought three to save our expensive soap from unnecessary waste.'
