Stud Earring - stud earring, stud

The diamonds are really clear and sparkly. I loved it...my only complaint is that I didn't understand at first that I was only ordering one ear-ring. I thought I was ordering one "set". So when I got it, I had to order another. It was for a Christmas present, and luckily it got to me in time. 14K White Gold Round Single Diamond Stud Earring (.10ct . J/K I2)

The setting seemed just a little bit flimsy, but considering the price, it was not bad! I bought this for my husband, who has very sensitive ears that get infected when he uses cheaper settings. He is very happy with it and wears it constantly, and about a month later he hasn't had any problems with his piercing. Shipping was fast and the packaging was nice for a gift! Would definitely buy again from this seller.

I agree with the other customer, this is a great little diamond stud earring for that extra piercing, and I saw it on another site for $10 more. The diamond is a good color, not kitty litter, and it even has a screw back post. Good quality.

Nowhere in the ad can I see it stated that this product is sold as a single stud ear ring. Please clearify this in your ad.

This earring is just what I wanted. It's exactly the right size for my ear. It is more comfortable than the previous earring, which had a screw base. This is a good quality item and well worth the money. Shipment was very prompt. For a single stud earring, this is an excellent choice.

The product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. It was not what I ordered, however. When I ordered it there was no mention of it being a single. So as you can see I sent it back. I did reorder it with a trubate $10 discount which is more in line with what I believe the value to be.

Cordless String Trimmer - lithium-ion, battery pack

This battery is great for home workshops, but is useless for construction sites or any commercial application. When the temperature is below 50 the battery will not charge! The old ryobi batteries charged any time no matter what. Ryobi 130429001 18-Volt 2.4-AMP Hour Li-Ion Battery

Yeah, they're expensive (and I don't agree with the reviews that give them one star because of the price: You're supposed to be reviewing the product, not the price!), but in my opinion worth the money. I've gone through about 8 of the NiCad battery packs: those start losing capacity right away and after a month or two of regular use you're back to charging them up twice a day. These lithium batteries go all day and more, even with heavy use. Combined with the nifty gauge, you won't find yourself up on a ladder or roof with a dead battery anymore (something that's annoyingly common with the NiCads in my experience).

These new Ryobi batteries are excellent.

* They power both the old and new Ryobi tool lines.

* They last provide more power (i.e. the tools work better) to both the old and new lines

* The charge from these batteries last much longer than the old batteries

* They also seem to keep a "full charge" and not lose the ability to fully charge like the old batteries did.

If you need to rely on your tools, you need to rely on your batteries. So far these have been great batteries and make the tools much more reliable.

Like others I started with the NiCd Ryobi ONE+ system and have multiples of many of the tools. I found the biggest drawback to the Ryobi NiCd (and most other NiCd batteries) is self discharge (after several months of use a charged battery would be completely dead after just a few days and needed recharging before it could be used). So, after buying another Ryobi kit with two Li-ion batteries I bought a third and was initially very happy with the results. Like others I didn't really see much run time difference and can't tell there's that much net weight difference, but I did (and still do) like the shelf life as there are few things more disappointing to me than picking up a cordless tool only to find the battery is dead. So far so good.

Now here's been my experience with these after 1-2 years of having them:

1) the charger starts reporting a defective battery and eventually reports each of my three batteries as defective. Fortunately unplugging and restarting the charge (sometimes multiple times) usually corrects the problem. This is certainly a relief compared to my DeWalt 36v batteries that just plain won't work once the charger says it's defective. Still it's annoying to leave a battery on charge to come back when you need it only to find that it hasn't been charged.

2) of the three P104 batteries I own, two are now 'weak'. Let me describe that. When running any tool (drill for example) the wind up is slower than the 'strong' battery and the torque is less. The weak batteries all seem to have about the same charge life though I haven't really done an experiment to confirm this. The fully charged unloaded voltage among the three are almost identical with a digital voltmeter, so I can't really explain the loss of torque other than maybe the internal resistance of the battery has increased.

Bottom line: These are pretty good grab and go battery/tool combinations for light to medium duty applications. The bateries are not perfect, but they are OK.

If I could give ZERO stars, this would certainly earn zero stars.

First the Li-ion charger. These things put out so much RF interference that you literally can't listen to AM or FM radio in your shop while charging a battery. Also, if you leave the battery plugged into the charger and remove power from the charger (mine is on a manual wind timer to save electricity) the charger DISCHARGES the battery in short order. I exchanged my first charger for a replacement, same exact problem. It is the design. I contacted Ryobi, they basically ignored me. I even emailed the FCC. Another joke but on a different blog.

Then there's the One+ Li-Ion Battery. My first one would run a tool for approximately half the time that the old Ni-Cad batteries would, then quit SUDDENLY, so I thought it was defective. I took it back to Home Depot, they exchanged it, and the new one was about the same. I decided to just keep it and consider it a lesson well learned. It soon failed altogether.

Wake up Ryobi. You have some good cordless tools, but you've laid an egg with these batteries and chargers. You need to not only fix the product, but fix your customers by recalling these things and replacing them with something that works.

I am a Ryobi fan. I have lots of their gear. The Li-Ion batter is (performance wise) a large step up from their previous 1+ battery. However, both of my batteries died two weeks after warranty expiration. Replacing the two batteries is very near the cost of another kit. (Which is how the sales guy sold me on the kit). Hardwood Flooring Nailer

Was skeptical, as I usually am, but this tool lives up to its name.

Have installed alot of 3/4" 2-1/4" plank oak flooring with it so far, have had 1 misfire. Instructions say to not hit it too hard, but I found that it takes a good solid whack to get it to fire completely. Once you do that, it's a breeze. Always seats where it's supposed to, and fires the nails to the right depth. Too light a whack will not sink the nails.

It's really solidly built and balanced really nicely.

One drawback, I wish I could check magazine level without opening it up, but it's not too bad. It makes a hollower sound when you're dry firing. Ramsond RMM4 2-in-1 Air Hardwood Flooring Cleat Nailer and Stapler Gun

I as a shopper often depend on the Amazon customer reveiws for product research. No one had reveiwed this nailer yet, however based on feedback on other websites, I decided to take a chance. I purchased this nailer as opposed to the Porter Cable nailer because I do not use a flooring nailer that often. I just couldn't justify the 4oo.oo plus expense. This nailer as well as another couple, and I suspect also the Porter Cable nailer have such obvious similarities that I feel they are probably made in the same factory.

Upon arrival the nailer seems well made for a more economically priced nailer. Machinings and castings aren't perfect but adequate for a 200.00 nailer.

Likes: The handle, and the fact that it will drive either nails or staples and can be adjusted for various flooring thickness. The color, which has nothing to do with functionality, but this nailer does look cool.

I received the nailer and fired some test nails into scrap flooring. The nailer shoots nicely and seems to function properly.

Dislikes: The bargain basement mallet. The manual could use some more detailed photos. Most of the logos are in the form of decals, not painted on, call me picky but I like to keep my tools well maintained, and don't like decals falling off over time.

I am giving this nailer three stars for now. I will try to report back after I get more time in with this gun.

Reveiw update. Since the last reveiw I have been working on my floors and the gun has performed very well. I have shot over 1500 cleats through the gun and had no jams or misfires.The only thing in use that has been a problem is that the rubber coating on the handle is so grippy that it tends to give a blister.

Overall, I am really pleased with the product, and would like to add another star.

As most other people who bought this flooring nailer, I couldn't justify spending 400 plus on the Bostich or Porter Cable. I don't like renting tools from the home improvement stores because I like the freedom to use the tools whenever I want so I can do the job at my own pace. I gave it 4 stars because when I first hooked up the air supply, I heard some air leaking from where the handle meets the body of the nailer. I found that some of the bolts were not fastened down all the way. I just took the wrench that was supplied and tighten the bolts and it hasn't leaked air since. The other reason for 4 stars is that the logo's and SN are just stickers, and the user manual is not that great for beginners like me. As far as the functioning of the nailer, it gets 6 stars! I put down 3/4 inch pre-finished oak floor and the RMM4 worked perfect without a single misfire! Overall, I would recommend this tool in a heartbeat, especially to those who are trying to decide whether or not to buy or rent.

I bought my Ramsond flooring nailer/stapler on e-bay. I used the last part of a box of nails then went to staples based on what a professional floor guy told me. The gun functioned flawlessly. It is easy to use, the stapling action drives the t & g flooring tightly together eliminating any gaps. It works just like my pro friend's Bostitch.

I installed about 200 sq feet of 3/4" x 2 1/4" red oak flooring and stored the tool in my dry basement for almost a year. I started installing the same material in a 400 sq ft room. It worked well for about 100 sq ft. And then the nailer broke. The pin which holds the staple driver to the piston snapped, and the driver was now free. This part looks identical to the Bostitch part.

Ramsond sells the gun with a package of o-rings, hex wrenches and a stamped steel wrench. Disassembly was not easy, but I was able to get down to the piston/driver assembly. When I tried to take this apart, the aluminum pieces broke. I went to e-bay, emailed Ramsond (actually Padova Imports) and the next day had a reply to call their parts dept. They shipped out a new piston/driver assembly for about $35 with shipping and I had it in less than a week. (I cannot blame them for the gun being out of warranty.) WRONG PART. I'll return it tomorrow and see if I can get the correct part.

While it worked, this flooring gun was great. But mine did not work for long.

There is a difference between a name brand (Bostitch) tool and a Harbor F&S or a Ramsond tool. Quality materials and quality control make a difference. In general, I have not had good luck with the off brand, cheap tools but still buy them in hopes of hitting the jackpot. I guess I never learn. Bottom line, my pro flooring friend has gotten years of trouble free use out of his Bostitch, and while I admit one tool does not a statistical sample make, my Ramsond failed after a few hours use, and the support was questionable.

If you buy Ramsond, may you have better luck than I did.

I read all the reviews and ordered the nail gun. I opened the box, oiled up the gun and off we went (boys with new toys) it worked great until I disconnected the air compressor on the 2nd day and when I hooked it back up it developed an air leak on handle the bolt where coming loose and the gasket had slipped out the side so I shoved the gasket back in and tightened all the bolts and it worked like a charm.

I'm only 200sqft into a 600sqft project, not one miss fire and the only problem I had was with the bolts being loose on handle. I would recommend this nail gun for the price, before using check all bolts, it was easy with the allen wrench right on the tool.

I gave this a 4 because the handle on the hammer is loose after 4 days of use. A little better made hammer would be nice.

Aa Batteries - cheap, aa

These Maxell batteries are alkaline and are of a name brand quality. If you refer to Consumer Reports you will see that with a few exceptions, there is little variation in the life of alkaline batteries of equal sizes between brands. I would recommend these batteries to anyone who does not frequent a Sams Club or Costco: their store brands are a slightly better value. Maxell 723443 LR6 AA Cell 48 Pack Box Battery

Long lasting and very affordable. Won't ever buy batteries in the store again. Bulk package is the only way. We use this for all of our kids toys as well as everything else and they last long! I also highly recommed them for photo use..I use them in my 580 EXII and my battery packs.

I feel like I have been ripped off all my life. I will never buy batteries in single packs again. In my opinion these work just as well and as long as the Enigizers I used to buy. These are used in all my little girls toys and work just as well. At $13.63 I can't complain!!

I have been steadily purchasing either Maxell's or Durcell Procell's over the past year or so. If you just need decent battery life for lots of devices, than these Maxell's are the way to go. However, if you prefer not to change your batteries out so often, than go with the Duracell Procell. The Duracell's last 1.5x longer than the Maxell's. Of course, you'll notice the price indicates that too.

Bottom line for me...Buy Durcell Procell's and have less waste and less time spent changing batteries. Buy Maxell's for quick power in large volumes.

Something that is rarely thought about when purchasing batteries is what to do with the other 46 batteries when you open the pack. This case is sturdy and compact, much more re-useable than the battery packs you find hanging with the clear plastic front. This starts to become a factor when you are buying more than 10 batteries in a pack.

The battery life itself is excellent, I bought the pack a while ago and they are lasting as long as any other battery I have used before.

More importantly, if you are looking for AA batteries and you find a price at this price point, why do you even look at reviews? Even if the supreme brands last 100% longer you are still going to be saving money.

I never thought I'd be critical of a Maxell product, but these batteries are the worst AA's I've ever come across for battery life. I have been using them exclusively for still and video photography on my Lumix DMC-LZ10 and they are crap compared to many other brands. Yes, the price is attractive, but just to give an example, and this is no BS, this morning I put a pair in my camera right out of the box and started taking some video of my 4 year old grandson. The camera shut down at 1 minute and 55 seconds. Taking still pictures with flash is not much better; I'm lucky if I get 15-20 shots before these start to fail. The box shows the 'use by' date as 01/2015, so one would think they'd be reasonably fresh stock. And, believe me, it's not the camera. I have used mongrel brand AA's with far better success. Keep your distance from these AA's.

Once you buy a value pack like this on Amazon, you'll never worry about rushing to the store just to buy batteries! You'll be saving money; these batteries last a fair amount of time! Like all other batteries, these have around 1.6V.

The packaging is very small and compact. But I prefer keeping all my batteries (AA, AAA, D, you name it) in a plastic container to keep them all together organized.

I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Like other reviewers said, they don't last long. They have 1.6 voltage when measured by a voltage detector, but don't let that fool you. Cameras, video game controllers, and book lights will DRAIN these batteries.

The choice is yours. More batteries that won't last a long time, or less batteries that are strong. Duracell Procell AA Batteries, 24-Count I recommend these instead.

Don't buy these batteries! They last two or three days at the most, and then they just die. I just got some Duracells to make sure it wasn't the battery-powered item, and sure enough, the Duracells are still going strong. So--stay away from these. They are just a waste of your money.

I bought these batteries to keep by my desk for my mouse and keyboard. The battery life was short when they arrived, and I have had to change them out more and more frequently. Now, just a couple of months after purchase, they are all dead. I thought it was a problem with my keyboard, but putting other batteries in it solved the problem. Don't buy these. They seem like a bargain, but they don't last at all.

I received these today, unwrapped them, and immediately looked for the expiration date on the batteries. There was none on the batteries themselves, like the Duracell batteries, but, after searching the sides of the carton that they came in, I found on one end panel the notice "Use By 01/2015." Which means that the batteries sent to me by Amazon are not "New" as described, but are in fact 2 years old, or at least 35% through their shelf life, as of 12/31/2010.

I bought a 24 pack of of Duracell AA batteries from an Amazon Seller three years ago, and when I received them they were over six years old, and 18 died completely after seven months of no use, but had suffered no leakage. I had not checked the expiration date before I installed them, only after they emitted a loud "crack" when they failed.

I found that all alkaline batteries in use do expand and tend to pop their ends off and leak when they are old, no matter what the brand is. Another major factor in battery failure is the quality of manufacture. These Maxell batteries were made in China.

The six Duracell batteries I did use in three remote controls started "exploding" the ends off after five months with a loud "crack" that startled both my wife and I. That is why I checked the expiration date on the "New" batteries received today. I purchased 8 new Duracell AAA Alkaline Batteries at Home Depot this last September, and the expiration date, on each battery, is MAR/2017.

This purchase received two stars instead of a no star the batteries deserve, simply because Amazon customer service responded back the same day I had e-mailed them about the expiration date on the batteries, and I received an apology and a full refund.

The batteries received may be alright, and work well for a while, but I'm a bit leery about putting them into any electronic device to use them, because of the previous one star reviews, and my own experience with older alkaline batteries. - Cheap - Aa Batteries - Alkaline - Aa'

Pull Down Kitchen Faucet

Very happy with the product. Well built and works great. The pull of the hose has just the right resistance. The head locks back into using a magnet to keep it tight. There's a switch right on the nozzle to go between spray and stream. My wife's comment was "why didn't we do this sooner?". Install was pretty simple. Faucet is tall so make sure you have room. I was surprised how heavy and well made this faucet was when I first received it from Amazon. Even the plumber I used to install it commented as to what a nice faucet this was. He did not have any problems installing it except he did have trouble threading the flexible hose through the faucet. But with a little patience it finally went through.

Some one that is handy could probably install this without a plumber. I was going to do it myself but I was having other plumbing work done, so while the plumber was here I let him do the faucet also. Yes!! Looks like I am getting a bit lazy in my old age, but so be it.

Everything on the faucet works nice and smooth. The handle is comfortable and easy to adjust the water flow from high to low and from hot to cold. The pull out wand works well when you pull it out or push it back in, plus magnetically locks into place when it is in. The button on the wand to select full flow or sprinkle works well also.

This looks like a good price for this on Amazon, I checked around. Plus with the free shipping and no tax how can you go wrong for this quality faucet.

We paid $180 for this faucet from Amazon. At Home Depot it would have cost us $240. We have been purchasing Delta for all of our remodeling (6 bathrooms in total, 2 kitchens now) and are impressed with Delta quality. This is a beautiful faucet, we got it in brushed nickel (stainless steel). You won't be disappointed.

We just installed this Delta faucet as part of a kitchen remodel. On full-spray it does splash some water onto the counter, but we've found that we rarely need it on full pressure - the spray at mid-power is just fine for most things. The toggle for switching to and from spray to regular stream is very easy to use. It looks beautiful and we love the magna-tite head. There is a weight on the hose (under the sink) and it takes some getting used to ....you have to use more strength to pull the hose out. Overall, a great faucet for a good price and shipped in a timely manner.

We just had this installed last week and it has helped to make our kitchen look nicer. We have black granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and this faucet matches well.

The neck is higher than it looks in the picture which makes it look a litte more formal. The hose attachment snaps back easily into place. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Ordered this from Amazon; great price and fast shipping. Received it a few days after ordering. As per other reviews, it took longer to take out the old faucet than it did to install the new.

Read the instructions before hand just to familiarize myself with the steps. The only problem was threading the hose for the faucet head down through the body or base. Called Delta and the gentleman who answered told me to push the little plastic button on the back side of the arching tube, remove the tube, push the hose through the arch first, than through the base and connect the arching tube back to the base; end of problem. I wish the instructions had said that! Other than that, hook up of the pex tubes went smoothly. Just don't overtighten the connections but be sure to check for leaks.

Per one other reviewer, the faucet does seem to get water stained but it's not noticeable when the faucet is dry. It looks good and we hope to have many years of trouble free service!

This was very easy to install. Looks great, I thought it might be too big, but its not. The pull-down sprayer is kind of a pain. It pulls down easily, but if you want to spray something really tall, you have to pull it way down to be able to bring the spray head up. Fortunately, we don't need to do this often. The faucet is tall on its own, so most pans and dishes fit underneath without having to play with the sprayer. Also. like you may have read, the sprayer has a magnetic catch, so no fooling around there.

Highly recommended.

I love this faucet, it was simple to install and works wonderfully. I was afraid that I would get water splash back because it is so tall, but not at all. The sprayer retracts well and it is a great design. I've received many compliments on it.

I replaced an old Delta (non-pull down type) with this one. I love this faucet! I've always chosen Delta for all of our finish plumbing hardware and this pull down did not disappoint. There's more room to handle big pots and cookie sheets. The layout keeps water from getting into the internal faucet parts which keeps the hard water deposits from ever forming. My old Delta ended up getting encrusted and it was really unsightly. Problem solved.

Installation was a snap and took maybe two hours. I did encounter one problem. I had to make a trip to the hardware store as the old faucet used 1/2 connectors and this uses 7/16 (don't hold me to the 7/16 size since I can't remember). Not Delta's fault that I didn't check this before installation.

I just installed this faucet yesterday, as a replacement for an old faucet (different brand/style) that had gone bad. The installation went fairly easy, really the only problem I had was that the supplied plastic socket they give you wouldn't go up over the nut, as there wasn't much room with all the tubes coming down out of the faucet - but I did eventually get it on. One of the selling points about this faucet (to me anyway) was the Magnet locking feature, and that is what slightly disappoints me. The literature says that the magnets will engage when the faucet head is in the proximity of the faucet - well, they don't seem strong enough! The faucet head sits in a cockeyed position (looks cheesy, or broken) until I monkey with it...the front of the faucet head engages the magnet, whereas the back side of it does not? I found it to be the tension on the hose that the weight applies. If I go under the sink and lightly push up on the hose, the head fully engages into the faucet stem. Mechanical Pencil - good quality, paper mate

Suffice to say, that when I misplace my sharpwritter I go to great lengths to try finding it back. When I don't find it, my day becomes miserable. I love it. It writes well - just like a pencil. Unlike a pencil it erases perfectly. And unlike any other (expensive or not) mechanical pencil I have used, the lead doesn't break. That is the hidden beauty of this product - the control you have on the length of the lead coming out of the pencil. I have become good @ it to pull it out enough to be able to write a long time, but not so much as to break the lead. I have, however, seen other people borrowing it from me, pulling the lead too long and breaking it. In addition to the deft use, I believe the lead of sharpwritter is stronger than that of the other products - another reason for it not breaking that often (or never in my case). Paper Mate Sharpwriter 0.7mm Mechanical Pencils, 12 Yellow Pencils (3030131)

I've been using the Paper Mate Sharpwriter Non-refillable Mechanical Pencil for many years. It's the only one I use. I hate regular wood pencils and I don't like those expensive refillable pencils either. I also don't like any mechanical pencil where you click the eraser part to bring out more 'lead'. For example, I tried one by BIC with the clicky eraser and I hated it including how it felt in my hand. I like the twist mechanism of the Paper Mate Sharpwriter the best. Twist it in for travel and twist it back out again for use. Perfect. I also like this pencil because it's not heavy and the outside is rounded and smooth which doesn't hurt my fingers.

I don't abuse things I own, so I never have trouble with my pencils breaking on the inside. I have nothing bad to say about this pencil, it's great just the way it is. It's affordable, easy to use, and as with any mechanical pencil, it's always sharp. I love having a pencil that is always ready to use and this one is better than all others I have tried.

Effectively cheap, works every time, and free shipping. You literally cannot go wrong with this purchase. I keep them in my desk at work to take phone messages and the like. A few people stopping by have asked if I had a pen or pencil for loan. I have happily given them one of these because they are so inexpensive. 3 out of 4 have come back and asked where I got them so they could get a pack of their own. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Started back to school again this semester and decided to stock up on pencils. This particular pencil has been my favorite for years. I've bought more expensive (refillable) pencils but did not like them as much.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome so after a lot of writing my hand starts to cramp up. I guess these fit my hands better and unless I'm writing for hours I have no problems with them.

Also, I wanted to note that even though I've used other pencils with 0.7mm lead these seem to be sturdier and do not break as often.

I did get one bad pencil out of the bunch. The lead would not stay in the pencil no matter what I did. Then without warning the whole thing fell out. But, that is only one out of close to 30 pencils so I won't complain.

The good:

+ Functional - twist the top & you get more graphite - simple. It's really easy to extend the graphite mid-sentence with your thumb and index finger.

+ Eraser - same type as the typical wooden pencils (the best type)

+ Cheap - throw them away after you use up the graphite. Most of the time my eraser is gone at the exact same time

The bad:

+ Impossible to refill

This is a basic, mass-produced pencil. It has no frills or gimmicks, which is exactly why I love this pencil. It does everything it is supposed to do very well - write & erase. I strongly prefer to use a new mechanical pencil every time the eraser is fully used up (the eraser refills are inconvenient / never really work well). The graphite and eraser tend to be fully used up at the exact same time - perfect timing! If you prefer to get a pencil that you can refill both the graphite and eraser, then choose a different product.

I have been using these pencils exclusively for the past two years in math classes. The quality of purchased wooden pencils is no longer reliable. (The lead seems to be either broken into many tiny parts or it is off-center within the wood. Either way, the sharpeners grind away until the pencils are unuseable.) I have never found a better price on these PaperMate mechanicals!

These mechanical pencils have been around for forever and there's a reason for that. They work well and write smoothly, the lead holds up to considerable pressure, and the twisting action of the tip makes it easy to dispense more lead AS YOU WRITE. Other designs make you click on the side of the pencil, which means you kind of have to stop writing or at least maneuver your hand away a bit, whereas this style allows you to simply rub your index and middle fingers ever so slightly, all the while writing and not moving your hand away from the page. It's quick and uninterrupted. Another advantage to this pencil is that erasers fit nicely over the end if and when you use up the stock eraser. Best of all, these are priced right. This Dvd Portable player is a pleasant suprise.... it is the best product one can have in a vehicle. I know because I have gone through two Dvd Players previously and thinking of custom made entertainment center until now. This Dual Dvd Player can actually play TWO DIFFERENT DVDS ON 2 SCREENS AT THE SAME TIME (my 5 year old girl and 4 year old boy have settled the feud on who watches Barbie and Iron Man....like, forever);or if wanted IT CAN PLAY ONE DVD ON TWO SCREENS AT THE SAME TIME (by hooking the wire to each other). Mind you this is Philips PD 7016 which came into the market barely few months ago.......and not PD7012 ( I almost got the wrong one during my selection). The volume is extraordinarily loud such that the FM Car Transmitter I ordered intending to connect the Dvd speakers to the Car Stereo is of no use to me....because the little speakers on the superd players are whoopers! It starts playing from where it stopped, even after you must have turned it off for an entire day. No matter how bumpy the ride is, the player does not skip a track. Above all, I like classy looking things and this is one classy looking thing inside the car....(check it from the rear of the vehicle). The wires are well placed beside the chairs in my vehicle and is not at all flying over the place; hardly visible at all. I and my spouse were previously thinking of returning our vehicle for custom installation of entertainment system until I saw this product on Wal-mart site. At first I thought it was cheap at 129.00; until a week later the price jumped to 135.00. I reluctantly bought it after the reading the 5 Star reviews.... I was shocked at the superior quality of the product; my entire family fell for the sleek looks and superior performance after I installed it and have been operating it effortlessly. And the reviews (check other sites for more reviews) have been coming such that today as I write this review, the price has jumped to 170.00 on Amazon and other sites. It is highly recommended, grab it while you can. Our family friends have got some already as the price keeps climbing up.....it is worth every dollar. You will attest to this too. Just purchased this for installing in a new van which has no entertainment system. With these kinds of players and screens, there is always going to be a preponderance of wires, so keep that in mind. If you don't care about all the wires hanging about the place, this is truly a neat product. DVD-playing capability is normal, nothing to distinguish from other players. What I really like is the presence of a 3.5mm AV in/out socket that allows other inputs into the players. This works excellent for me because if I want to watch something from my Internet-enabled phone (which has a 3.5mm AV out socket,) then I get to watch it on the 7" screen instead of the tiny phone screen. Extremely cool!

This is a very nicely designed product. Appearance of the case is top shelf. The video and audio quality is VERY good even on the 'remote' or slave display and the viewing angle is wide enough that it is easy to see from the middle seat.

Despite some of the Philips documentation mentioning to do some features with the 'remote control', the product does not come with one nor have I found one available to purchase as an accessory.

The product is fully featured and does all the things you would expect it to. You can even adjust the brightness on each display from dim-med-bright. HOWEVER- when you attempt to adjust the brightness on the 'slave' unit, it displays that this is "not available". And it seems to default the slave unit to 'dim'. BUT- if you take it out of slave mode, set the brightness and then put it back in slave mode it will keep your brightness setting. Not fatal, but one wonders why they did that.....

The headrest straps route through 2 metal pins embedded in the rear of each display. You run the strap through these, around your headrest (raised a couple of inches so the strap makes contact with the metal rods that support the headrest), and then clasped together. The mounting is very solid and you can tighten it so the display is held firmly against the seat.

The shipment came with:

2- A/C adapters

1- Car adapter with 2 cables that come straight from the plug. Not a single cable that Y's off after several feet. Not sure I like this from a cable mess perspective.

1- slave video/audio cable

1- video cable

2- headrest straps

Thus far I am pleased. Now comes the longevity test.

UPDATED 6-6-2011- My 21 month old twins don't ride in the car well after about 30 minutes without nearly constant attention from the front seat passenger (Mom). Recently we had to travel an hour each way to an event and it was the quietest 2 hours on record for the twins. LOVE it so far for that.

I also love how it remembers where your place in the program and starts back at that spot. Also, it auto-replays so when you reach the end of the DVD, it starts over. With no remote control and no way to see the controls from the front seat this is ideal.

I do wish I could downgrade my rating to 4 stars: buttons on the top of the unit would have been preferable to under the screen in the front (where they can be reached by toes). If you are not fluent with the position of the front panel keys, if you are in the front seat, you have to detach the unit so you can operate the buttons. - Portable Dvd Player - Dual Dvd Player - Car Dvd Player'
