I purchased these for use with my Circulon Elite hard-anodized 8-quart sauce pot. Knowing that plastic is recommended for use on non-stick cookware, I purchased these. Well, the flat turner of this set gouged my (practically indestructible) pot the first time I used it! There should be a warning on the product page NOT to buy them for non-stick cookware. We needed to replace our old, worn out and chipped utensils and after searching around, this Calypso Basics Utensil set was the best price with good reviews. I ordered a set in turquoise and after using them a while, ordered another set. They work well with stainless steel and cast iron cookware. I do not have any non-stick cookware, but do have some flame ceramic cookware but haven't yet used these utensil on them. These pieces are sturdy and just the right size (I had bought an Oster spoon from Amazon before trying these and the spoon is oversized and hard to use).
Do not buy them. They are junk and I cook those three course meals 5 days a week.
I first thought these were good but as I used them they are too sharp and scratch non stick cookware.
I am looking for utensil's that are not Ergonomically designed...they take up too much space with such a huge chubby handle and I don't need them 14 inches long, really they are all overkill in design.... but these are far from the answer, whatever they are made out of is substandard material, very sharp edges on all, they drag the pan and take it with them, not good, not healthy at all.
I bought two sets of these, one in green and the other in red, for each of our kitchens. I bought them primarily for the color and did not expect great quality for so little money. These work terrific, even with high heat and can be cleaned in the dishwasher or hand washed. They work well with non-stick pans. A definite winner!
These were so shiny and pretty that when I first opened them I didn't want to use them! But I've since gotten over that and are the first utensils I grab when I'm cooking. I adore the color and have always gotten great products from the brand.
I bought these in grey. They look nice, but when it says basic they aren't kidding. Unlike some utensils that have a little give, these are very hard & rigid plastic.
