Twin Air Bed - twin air bed, inflatable mattress

I gave this only 4 stars because this is the 3rd Intex twin air mattress I have had since January of 2009. The first one had to be sent back to Amazon (no problem there) for an exchange due to it not holding air at all. The 2nd one held up just fine for about 4 1/2 months. A baffle or something popped inside the mattress and it became unusable. Those two were one step down from this one. I have been using my 3rd Intex twin for about a month now and it is very comfortable and holding up well. I use it as a regular bed for me, so I do not inflate/deflate every night. One thing I DON'T like about this mattress IS the "pillow rest". I have arthritis in my neck and shoulders and I need a flat surface to sleep on. I just use several blankets to "fill in" the middle area and put my head where my feet should be and it's fine.

It was difficult to find exactly what I was looking for. I HAD to have a twin size as a queen size would be too large for the room. Also, I had to have the extra height to make it easier to get off and out of bed. I have trouble sleeping due to Fibromyalgia and I wasn't sure how this was going to work, but I do get some decent sleep on it. I add air in it about once a week and I LOVE that the pump is built-in and easy to use.

I would purchase an Intex again, but I DO wish they made a twin without the pillow. Intex Deluxe Pillow Rest Rising Comfort Twin

I've bought this Intex air-bed to use for myelf 24 hours a day.

I'm a Service Executive here in the USA for 1 year and therefore have rented an appartment with no Furniture and offcourse .....NO BED.

So i searched the net for a portable bed and came accross this Intex air-bed.

It was delivered on time on the exact date mentioned.

I has an extreamly good lenght & breadth and the best part about it is the hight.

The pillow rest is really comforting & can be used as a comfort back rest when pushed against a wall

I have not deflated the bed at all since i'd inflated it around 2 months ago and its still in good hard condition, yea i've got to pump it around once a week....but jut a little bit.

But all in all, its an amazing product...

I love this bed! It is perfect for when my nephew spends the night or when my friends bring their little ones and it's nap time. I can set this bed up anywhere and the kids can sleep in any location indoors and out while staying within sight of the adults.

I tested it out myself the first weekend I received it and slept on it in the living room for two nights in a row. I was not disappointed. For the price, I would definately recommend it!

I bought 2 of these to take on a family vacation with my 3 boys. I based my purchase on the good reviews and best price I could find. I inflated them before the trip and left them overnight. They seemed to lose some air over a few days, but not too bad. We packed them in their bags, which didn't take up much space. They are super easy to inflate and deflate, and actually fit easily in their carry bags, unlike some things which never seem to fit as designed. We ended up using both, and the boys were very comfortable. These are not made for outdoors, but we will still use them for overnights. They are small to store and take minutes to set up. I would buy more in a heartbeat if I needed them. They are especially suited to small children with the edges that help keep them from rolling off, but my 17 year-old 5'11" was as comfortable as my two youngest. He commented that it was the best air mattress he'd slept on because of the pillow rest. He said a flat mattress always caused the pillow to slip off, and this one didn't.

My husband has had back problems for years. Unable to get comfortable on a standard mattress, he tried an air bed. The first one he purchased leaked constantly. He had to patch it and reinflate it several times a week. After several months it had over a dozen patches and wouldn't hold air 12 hours. I found this bed on Amazon and he gave it a try. Wow! What a difference. First and most important, he finds this bed extemely comfortable, and he likes the raised edges and front that help keep him from rolling off the bed. It holds air and he has only had to add a little air 2 or 3 times. It also seems to be quite durable. My cocker spaniel jumps on and off it all day long, and she loves to sleep there, too. We are very pleased with the bed.

Update: 5 months later:

This bed is awesome. Rarely has had to be pumped up. We can't believe how comfortable and durable this bed has been.

ordered this as a bed to stay with a friend in a tiny studio in nyc. blew it up each night. slept just fine. firm enough but not like being on blown up balloon. one cavaet- it needs a mattress pad or some kind of warm material under your sheet. i guess the air keeps the whole thing very cold. with a pad it was very normal. easy to deflate. fold up. start again each nite. easy to store. i slept on an aerobed several times and this is a far more comfortable sleep. highly recommended. - Guest Bed - Twin Air Bed - Air Bed - Inflatable Mattress'
