i bought this cooler on sale from homedepot. i bought it because it was tall and i wanted to put gallon jugs upright in it. also i found you can put 2 liter bottles upright in it. but---the lid does not seal and it loses cold air quickly.
the lid is hinged and it has a large air gap there. also, the front of the lid has 2 little bumps that make it latch where it doesnt seal at all. on top of that the lid is hollow and they were too cheap to put foam in it. it doesnt even have to be in the sun and the ambient hot air will be more than noticeable when you open it and the inside of the lid is absolutely warm. very poorly designed. too late to return it or i would.
something so simple to design and make but no diligent effort applied when they did!
appears to be a mostly profit product, as it probable cost $3 to build and distribute!
no more rubbermaid coolers for me ever unless they build a good one and give it to me free for screwing me on this one. Rubbermaid 20-Quart Ice Chest Cooler, Blue'
