After many hours of searching the web and stores we decided on this scooter for our Grandson's 7th birthday. It was a breeze to assemble. He loves it. It is so easy to manuver. Only thing is his three year old sister is on it as much as he is. The handlebars can be adjusted to the heighth of the rider. We have bought her the mini for Easter. Both my boys have the Oppenheimer Mini-Kick and we all love it. It is a safe, durable and fast scooter. My 6 year old was still using the Mini even though he had grown way too tall and had other scooters to choose from. On his 7th b-day we bought him the pricey Maxi-Kick and it was worth every penney. He was thrilled and -- unlike with his other metal scooters -- he grabbed it and took off racing. He had no concerns, nothing to adapt too and he could stand up straight. Plus, Mom had no worries as it is as safe and durable as it's mini-brother. Awesome product -- worth the price!
This is not only the best scooter you will ever buy it is the BEST TOY you will ever buy. When my grandchild was 2 1/2 years old he wanted a scooter. Because this one has the two front steering wheels it was easy for him to handle and zip around. He has used the "mini" until this year at age 8 we have purchased the "maxi" because of the same excellent manuverability and safety. We also purchased a second one for his younger brother. This scooter is by far the best and most used toy they have. They even use it more then their bikes!
We purchased this scooter last month for my son's 7th birthday. He had been using his old, 3 wheeled razor scooter since he was 4 and it was definitely time for a new one. When i took him to the store he only had slight interest in the 2 wheel models that you see everywhere so i went online and found a ton of reviews for the Maxi Kick. It was definitely more than I wanted to pay, but it's been great! He loves riding it to the point where he's out there for hours and I have to force him come inside. The ride is so smooth and that thing turns on a dime! I also loved that it was SIMPLE to put together.
I am actually going to buy 2 more of these for my twin 4 yr olds for their next birthday. Now that they have seen this one, they can't stand riding theirs...and I don't blame them one bit. Great Scooter!
My grandsons are 3 and 5 and they both have more trust in this scooter than any similar product we've tried. The only thing I have against it but it is the price. It seems very expensive for this type of item but again, the guys like and trust it more than anything else we've tried so I guess it is worth the money. - Scooter - Kick Scooters'
