As the previous reviewer stated the battery is advertised as a 12v 4Ah battery and what I received was a 12v 5Ah battery; However, after reading his review I checked around on the internet and found that the 12v 5Ah is a common replacement battery for most alarm systems. So far the battery has worked for ours. This battery was the most economical one including shipping and handling. The battery arrived promptly along with an instruction page for charging tips. We placed the battery in the alarm system and in about 4hr of charging the battery indicator was turned off showing that there wasn't any battery problems. I was looking to replace the battery in my Brinks Home Alarm system. Due to a low battery indication, the alarm would go off spontaneously at exactly 5:22 am every morning - one heck of an alarm clock, but not all that pleasant. After calling Brinks, they indicated it would cost just over $125 to have a technician come out to change the battery. After looking in the control unit and finding the battery, it was simply two plugs and and easy replacement - so I sought the correct battery. This was it!
