Fishing Equipment - telescopic fishing rod, fishing

This was interesting to say the least. The kids liked it and it kept them quiet and patient while in the boat so long. They didn't care weather they caught something or not....,they just liked looking and watching. It must have got water in the unit you look thru as after the 1st use it had a black/brown streak running thru the middle (of course) of the viewfinder. That made it difficult to really see good after that. Waiting to see if it will dry out and be OK later on. Can't use it trolling or in any weedy area's as if it gets stuck in the weeds and you pull, you could tear off the camera part and then it would be ruined and you might as well throw it away. Good for kids still fishing...off the end of the dock or quiet waters. Cost is too high a price to pay to keep kids entertained. Adults won't care for it. Too short a pole and it makes a loud noise when being cranked up. Enough to scare the fish and wake the dead. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Wish I could return it myself. I am sure the kids won't be asking to use it next year. Fish Eyes Rod and Reel with Underwater Video Camera

I was a bit skeptical about the product prior to purchase but it was such a cool concept that I had to take the leap. Well, I have been very pleased with Fisheyes and surprised about the multiple uses of the product. My primarily reason for the purchase was to keep my kids occupied when we went out on the boat in the lake. While they didn't catch any fish with it, they were able to clearly see the plant life on the bottom of the lake (not a very keep lake). They thought this was very cool. For the hell of it, I took it with him during my annual fly fishing getaway with my high school friends. What I did was to lay the camera in the stream, pointed sideways in calm pool behind a rock. I then extended the line to the max length (I think it is around 25') and watched for fish to show up. Well they did and we were able to catch several fish using this method. Don't fool yourself and think you will catch a big fish with this product - you won't but just entertaining the kids alone was well worth the price.

My husband saw a blog review of Fisheyes on the web and thought it would be fun to bring it to our summer vacation at Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey. The product worked great. My son caught two Sunfish off the dock and the image on the screen was better than we expected. I wouldn't recommend this to a hard core fisherman but our family certainly had fun with it!

I was given a Fish Eyes fishing pole for review on my blog. We had a great time taking the kids on their first fishing trip. We didn't catch a fish but they loved the camera and actually saw a small turtle take their bait! We are very happy to have it!

I just got my FishEyes a couple of days ago, wasn't sure what to expect but it looked like a fun gadget so I decided to take a chance. Looked a bit toyish in the package but for the price it turned out to be of very good quality. I went down to the pier in the marina to try it out, lowered the line/camera in the water to look at the pylons - you could clearly see all the shell fish and lots of small fish right around the pylons. I soon had a few of the guys fishing the pier wanting to try it out. They complained that the line was not long enough; it would be good if the line was longer, other than that it was great.

This morning I set it up in the kitchen with the camera and line going out to the backyard and set the camera right on top of the bird feeder, I get mostly squirrels but it was fun to see the scramble when I added a bunch of nuts..what to do next?

I have a 10 year old daughter and she loves this. We use it off a dock but it would certainly work just as well off a boat (not for trolling though). It's a kids toy and can be a lot of fun. Reading the "Product Description" on the Amazon page may give the impression of a more serious fishing hardware but that is not what this is about. It's about seeing your kids face as they explore the bottom on the lake trying to catch what they see on the screen. It can be mesmerizing for them and catching something is a big bonus! It's been fun for us.

Got this for my nephews who love to fish and they were psyched about it until they tried using it and the camera filled up with water on the first toss into the lake so it wasn't useable. Could've just been a bad batch of fishing rods??.. but anyway we returned it right away for a full refund.

Other than that the service was good. Fast delivery and fast pickup return service too. - Fishing - Telescopic Fishing Rod - Travel Rod - Kids Fishing'
