This is one of the best backpacks I've ever had. I did a lot of research since I wanted something that was slim, no-nonsense, sans bells and whistles, and clean and professional. This was dead on the money for all of those things. All the pockets are in the right places, the laptop container is plenty big for anything up to a 15" MacBook Pro, and it even has space for an iPad or a few important folders. Buy this bag if some or all of these things are important to you.
A few very minor gripes: The nylon part of the strap (below the padded shoulder part) is pretty slippery, and it's bound to shift lengths from where you've adjusted it, even if you wrap it through more than once. I fixed it with some safety pins...no big deal. I also had a zipper handle come off the lanyard part that attaches to the actual zipper mechanism, but a little Gorilla Glue fixed it...also no big deal.
Finally, the other day, I slipped on a smooth floor and fell straight on my back, landing on the backpack with my MacBook Pro inside. I weigh 200 pounds. Nothing happened. My computer is fine. Amazing. Buy it. Incase Nylon Campus Backpack (Fir Green/Golden Rod)
this is the best backpack i have ever had. the design is simple but efficient. there is the perfect amount of protection for both my 15 inch macbook pro and my ipad. the pockets inside allow me to carry either chargers or my iphone. there is also the perfect amount of space for my textbooks and other school supplies. the outside pockets are really handy too. if you need a backpack and youre not sure what to get, i could not recommend this backpack more highly!!!
I went with the campus incase because of the reduced price compared to the original one. Delivered in less time than I thought. Generally great large interior for my laptop (13in blackbook) but the pockets tend to let all the items shuffle to the bottom... significant items like my ti graphing calculator, comp. power adapter, headphone case all bunched at the bottom making it difficult to get my books in and access the lower front pocket on the outside. Good bag but perhaps the larger size and deeper body need more delegation of space.
I bought this bag thinking that the fushia color would be a pinkish...well no dice. This bag is a weird color of bright purple. The closest color I can compare it to is Barney the Dinosaur. Google it. Yep--That color.
Great functioning bag though, wonderfully thought-out pocket placement, and the nylon material could probably survive a zombie apocalypse.
I have been using a JanSport bag for the last 4-5 years. It has been working ok, but since now I'm doing my masters, I need to carry my Macbook pro with me all the time. I had one of those sleeves for my laptop, but with a notebook and some other stuff the Jansport bag would get heavy. I am not sure why but with this bag, I'm carrying the same stuff + a big book and I don't feel that it's heavy.
If you want a bag like a JanSport that you can put a whole lot of things, this is not the bag for you. It has a very limited space, and very inflexible for that matter. But if you want to carry your laptop, and a couple of books then definitely go for this bag.
I gave 4 stars because the color looks much lighter in the pictures. The actual color is dark gray, and the inside is blue..
I don't know that this bag could be any better, honestly.
The laptop sleeve is well-padded and well-constructed. The faux fur is a little much, but it's certainly soft and cushiony for my computer.
There are several small pockets inside the main compartment for pens and other small things - I keep an SD card adapter, a small mp3 player and a couple of erasers in there.
The main compartment itself is plenty large - almost one of those Mary Poppins bag situations where the inside is larger than the outside (tropers will recognize hammerspace). The 3rd day I had it, my wife and I went to Busch Gardens and I emptied my other things out of it to carry a few bottles of water, cameras, keys, phones, and wallets, and it coped fine with all of that as well.
The bag is solid and well-made, as you'd expect from incase, and the seller was excellent - really fast shipping.
I really can't find anything to complain about!
I order this great Incase Laptop bag and I love it, I hate i couldnt find the Black/Green one for the same price but this Grey/power blue that i have is cool. ANd the shippment was perfect, got to me in two days.'
