It's about time I can find something that was manufactured in the US! I have to hunt for products made here in the US as most everything is manufactured overseas now. So I was happy to see that on the back of my package that these covers are made in the USA. The covers are great...I use them when I'm on a business trip. I've had several compliments and people curious as to where to purchase them. They're paper but coated with something, they fit great, you can't even tell it's not part of the book! I've already switched one cover to another book and the adhesive strips worked great, still looks new! Totally worth it! I've searched and there is nothing else even remotely close out there! These are the cutest! HOWEVER, the measurements used to describe the product are a little misleading. It refers to the entire cover including parts that are folded on the inside. So, these only fit tiny books. They are nice looking and the phrases on them are fantastic. Its a real shame they don't come in larger sizes.

I was excited to find these book covers after having looked for something for several months. I love the idea; the covers are cute and there are three of them. My only disappointment was that I was hoping for something that would be more durable. If you buy, buy realizing that the covers are paper. They're slightly more durable than regular paper, but expect limited use at $5 a piece.

This listing is kinda wacky, that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of five. I thought there was just one package for sale, since it said "1 new" but when I clicked on it another screen popped up that said "in stock" and that these are mailed out by AMAZON and qualifies for free super saver shipping! Weird! Anyway, after I ordered mine there was still "1 new" for availability. Once I got the availability figured out and received the covers they rock! I recommend these covers to all the readers out there who want to keep their materials discreet. I LOVE these! I even feel a little guilty since I'm totally out everywhere reading my trashy novels in public and no one has a clue! Fabulous! It's a feeling you have to get used too, I've been a "closet" reader for so long. It's great though, I'm reading books so much faster since I can take them with me anywhere! Highly recommend.

These are great covers for my books, so glad i purchased them. Fits all my favorite books and the plastic layers keeps my books clean. Gives you privacy as you don't have people leaning over to see what you are reading. Buying more for some friends, great presents!

First, thank you so much to everyone who has purchased Cover Ups for Books. I designed and manufactured these myself, here in the U.S. They're made specifically to fit a standard paperback book, the size of 90% of romance novels being published currently. In hind-sight I should have included three different sizes but this is part of my learning process, having never done this before.



They are made of a heavy paper with a laminate (plastic) coating. The laminate film increases the integrity of the paper without significantly increasing the thickness. For me this was important. My goal was for these to look like any other paperback book when applied so others won't realize it's a cover. In order for this to work the cover couldn't be too thick because it would not conform to the books cover, it would "puff out", which is a dead give away that your book has a cover on it.



I created these unique designs because I'm not the type to purchase something made of fabric that has a "wall paper" print on it. For me, using one of those would make me feel like I was sixty and in assisted living, not quite the look I'm going for...



Give these a try, you can return them if necessary. When I created them their primary use was intended for romance novels. I read quite a few and found I was only reading when I was at home, I wasn't interested in being in public reading a book with a crazy title or with a half dressed guy on the front! Now I can read wherever and whenever I want, it's great.

These book covers are fabulous. I travel often and these are ideal in situations where people are too close for comfort. I can read my trashy novels and no one has to know! And I love that there is a "cover story" so i don't fumble for words about what I am reading if someone asks - great idea!

Each book cover title was well thought out. I like that they can be wiped clean. Three for basically $15.00 is a very good price,they are practical, fun and inspiring. Great for covering up those smutty novels and so much cuter than those old fashioned cloth covers of years past. I really like them.'

When I first purchased my Nuvi 255W I tried connecting to my PC using a USB cable I already had that was for another GPS receiver. I was able to charge the Nuvi but I could not get my PC to recognize it and do updates to the unit. After receiving this cable I had no problems at all connecting and updating my Nuvi. Guess it goes to show that not all USB cables are the same. Garmin USB Cable

This is just a standard usb "Mini-B plug" - I bought it alongside my Garmin Nuvi 1350T GPS, but I should have just waited. I already have two such wires, one that came with a digital camera and another with a hard drive.



If you are not sure if you have one or not, do your research into the different types of USB connectors and see if you have one that looks like a "Mini-B plug" - it could save you the price of this product.



That said, this wire is high quality and works well. I have kept mine and it will be useful to me. I just know I wouldn't have coughed up the cash for it if I had known then what I know now.

After comparing this cable to others in my collection, I think it may be a generic USB A-mini-B cable, which would be available for less from a good computer discount warehouse. I gave this one only 4 stars because the mini-B end will bend if the Garmin is moved while the cable has no slack. However, this may be a fault of the mini-B design and not the cable per se. Overall, I am well satisfied with this purchase.

I think the USB cable bring the Garmin to full capabilities. It is a MUST inorder to register and / update your GPS with the latest data as well as to do some "fun"stuff like changing vehicles to a lot of choiices.. Good buy . - Usb Cable'

I just returned mine. Simply put, its a great little product, and for $175 you just can't find a better value. But you get what you pay for, and you get a nice little recording device, perfect for most applications, epically recording musical ideas while away from the studio. However, for low level recordings such as acoustic guitar, look closer at the Sony PCM-D50, that's what I'm switching to for my use. Here are my pros and cons of the DR07:

sound is directional, and records the best from directly in front.

Comes with a wind screen.

cons:

Mic pre-amps are VERY noisy: when recording an interview or acoustic guitar, you can hear the hiss through it... lots of hiss on low volume recordings like that.

Lots of handling noise (more on that below),

NO Speaker! So you have to bring headphones to check your recordings.

The windscreen looks and feels cheap, its just a piece of shipping foam cut out to fit on top.

Buttons feel cheap,

memory card and USB access door feels cheap, I'm sure after a short while of use, it will break off.



Handling noise: any slight touch of the unit make a loud sound when using on-board mics, Poor quality limiter: the limiter cuts back so hard that when you just touch the unit, or get a loud pop from your voice, it cuts all the way down to zero, and then back up, so you get this very dramatic but short cut out of sound. Its very annoying. I had to turn off the limiter to use it, because every time i touched the unit to move it, it would cut out for a second. This was during an interview where I had the recording level up.



I was doing an interview and had to set the internal mic sensitivity to high and the gain to 8 or 9 (out of 10) just to get a good level on my subject sitting about 6 feet across from me. There was a lot of noise (hiss) too. Too much for someone picky, and looking for clean sound. Maybe an external mic would have been better, but you're still using the internal pre-amps which are very noisy.



I have to say that for the price, if you are looking for something to record band rehearsal, practice, or song ideas, its perfect! Maybe if you had a pair of mics you would get good results from a live rock concert (rock, not jazz or classical, because of the hiss in the background.... the rock music would drown that out)



So 5 out of 5 because it is perfect for what it is, but its not a solid feeling professional piece of gear with high quality preamps, its just a portable recorder for every day recording... professional sound guys would be disappointed. I would recommend this to my musician friends who want something to record scratch song ideas while away from a real studio, or someone looking to get into recording as a hobby, and play around with recordings.

*** UPDATE ***



okay, i just found the Sony PCM-M10 Portable Digital Recorder. I would suggest that anyone on the fence about the Sony PCM-D50 should consider this one, its half the price. If its ANYTHING like the D50, it will be something to consider if you're looking for a bit more from the DR07, mainly a bit more in quality of the mics.

I finally have this fine little solid state recorder in my hands, and I must say it does nearly anything I could want from it.

Sound quality, especially using the 44.1KHz/48KHz and WAV16bit/WAV24bit settings, is as good as you can get without having to fork over considerably more for something more professional grade, such as the Sony PCMD50 (~$500) or a far more expensive device (sorry, forgot the name) that costs $1,500USD.

As expected, the integral microphones are decent for recording up close, but I would definitely recommend using an external for recording bands, lecture halls, or other roomy areas where the sound source may be some distance from the unit.

That is also where this little gadget really shows its stuff, as it is configurable for condenser microphones that require a powered (think "phantom" power) jack, dynamic microphones that have their own power source (I have an Audio Technica stereo mike that uses a single AA battery to operate), and even a line in jack for recording from a mixing desk or other device with a line out jack.

You can even slow down or speed up the recordings after they are made, with no pitch change, although I did notice that the slowed recordings exhibited noticeable artifacting at the slower settings, but that is no real problem, as that feature is mainly a musician's tool for learning how to play a fast or complicated part, NOT for listening enjoyment.

The 2GB SD card that it comes with almost has the full capability of file size that this unit can handle, which is 2GB, or ~3hours and 24minutes when recording 44.1KHz/16-bit.

The 2GB card holds just over 3 hours, so anyone wanting to max out the recording file size limit will need a 4GB card.

In fact, that 2GB file size limit is the only possible area of concern for anyone using this, at least if you want to capture a lengthy performance in lossless WAV format.

I did not experiment with the on-the-fly MP3 recording it does, but if you set it to 128KBPS, you can expect over 10 times as much recording time, due to the compression ratio.

Of course, the batteries would likely give out before that ~30 hours of nonstop recording, so anyone wanting to do that would be advised to buy the Tascam AC adapter also sold here.

Oh, I also LOVE the ease with which Tascam made it to set the levels, where you simply hit the record button once, which turns on the microphones without starting recording, allowing you to listen on headphones to adjust those levels, then hit record again to start the recording.

So simple, even a young kid could do it.

As a suggestion, I would advise anyone wanting to use this for recording from a distance to purchase a decent condenser omnidirectional "lapel" style stereo microphone, with the little Griffon unit being a particularly nice one, especially for the money.

I can't wait to really put this through its paces.

***EDIT***

Update: It turns out that this handy little recorder neatly circumvents the above mentioned 2GB file size limit by simply automatically starting a new audio file once it reaches that 2GB limit on the first file, continuing on until the SD card is full, or if you press stop.

This means that you will be able to record approximately 53hours 20minutes onto a 32GB SD card!

Naturally, the way to handle the multiple files created on the fly by this recorder is to append all of them in order on your hard drive, naturally using an operating system whose file system has no such 2GB limit, which includes XP and Linux, among some others.

I have also been able to test this little gadget, and I am quite happy with the performance and quality of the recordings.

The interface is intuitive, and the controls are quite easy to use, even those for dividing files directly on the unit, which makes it quite handy for slicing off removing trailing garbage on recordings, which can then be deleted before downloading the saved portion of audio onto your computer.

Slick, great sound quality, small, and - yes - updateable.

Yes, there IS a small firmware update out there already for this that addresses some minor issues, and the update process is quite easy as well.

I definitely appreciate a manufacturer making their hardware updateable for future-proofing their products.

I feel perfectly comfortable in giving this five stars, and I would have given it six, if Amazon had that rating available.

When I was looking at the video camera I read the reviews and there was one that said to get this and that.. The 16GB SDHC card was a must as well and so far it has done what it is supposed to do.. It gives me over three hours of space in the highest quality setting on the camera, more than enough for now anyway, I have yet to run even close to out of space on it.. The lesser settings will give more time and less quality but for the money this was the best way to go.. I don't have a laptop computer to transfer the videos from while on trips so the 16GB was a good thing there too.. Anyone else has a laptop type of computer and they might need an 8GB or less card... I'll put it through the big test this summer with a family trip.. But I think this card deserves the five star maximum rating.. 16GB Secure Digital Memory

The memory card is ideal for HD camcorders or SLR digital cameras, as it has lots of space. It does its job and I use it for my HD camcorder, it can hold up to 2 hours in video and is very convenient to own.

We've been using our SanDisk 16GB SD Memory card in both our Canon and Nikon digital point and shoot cameras. This card has a huge amount of space on it! We've recorded several HD videos and taken hundreds of photos and we're not even close to filling this card. This card is fabulous for vacationers who want to take a lot of photos without having to change out a card.



We're going to have to test this card out on a dSLR camera one of these days - gotta wait until we upgrade! Highly recommended. - 16gb - Memory Card - Sandisk - Sd Card'

This fits my Kodak c182 nicely & has ample protection for it. It's only draw back it has no pockets for memeory cards or extra batteries. Otherwise this is a great purchase if people just want a durable case. The case is not a hard case, it is more like a stiff case. It fits our samsung we bought it for well. It is small only the camera fits inside which is good if you don't want something bulky. The case opening is pretty convenient with the zippers attached to both sides and the velcro flap at the top. Has a belt loop on the back so it is convenient to carry on your person as long as your wearing a belt. All in all a good case for what we plan on using it for; backpacking and trips and such.

I like safety of the hard case. The zipper broke after two weeks of light use. Not a good fit for Kodak's C195 model - doesn't fit well with the camera strap on. I would have loved it if the zipper didn't break and it was just a little bit bigger.

This fits my camera in a snug fit, something I am very excited about! It doesn't have any space inside or outside to place anything extra, like cleaning equipment or extra memory cards, but it definitely protects the camera nicely. Great price too :)

Great case for the price. Very sturdy and has two straps that keep the camera going straight into the case without it falling out of the sides. Step 2 Water Wheel Table

We have owned this water play table for nearly siz months, and its play value has not decreased at all. It is short enough that our 16 month old has always been able to participate comfortably, and interesting enough that it still attracts my 4 and 6 year old children as well.



The water wheel is great fun, and the children love scooping water into its reserve to make it spin. The two levels of the table give the children individual play space if two children are playing. Now that winter is approaching, I look forward to adding sand instead of water to the table. I appreciate the easy-to-open plugs built into the basin, as it makes it easy to remove water (or sand). The toy, though sturdy, is also lightweight enough for an adult to pick up and simply pour water out, if desired. Children cannot, however, easily move or turn the table over. I recently purchased the water wheel table after looking at just about every kind available. Although I originally wanted a sand/water combo, I'm glad that I went with the water-only version. My 21-month-old is not known for sticking with one activity for very long, but she seems to love this toy.



Though we haven't had the table for long, I am very glad I didn't spend more on the larger combo tables.



Here are the pros:

~ Extremely easy to assemble. Absolutely no tools required and assembly, from box to completion, took less than 5 minutes.

~ Very light-weight and compact. The table is easy for an adult to lift (without the water) but it is still sturdy enough for a toddler. While this table is more compact than many on the market, it will accomodate 2-3 toddlers quite easily.

~ Less messy than combo tables. No sand to mix for a muddy mess.

~ Comes with water wheel, cup and two sail boats.



Here are the Cons:

~ Mine does not appear to have a plug. No leaks this way, but a bit harder to drain. However it is small enough that an adult can easily tip it over for cleaning.

~ No cover. This is my only real complaint. If a cover had been included, this would be ideal. However, the compact size makes it easy to drain and fill, so the lack of cover isn't really a big deal.

~ The water wheel is not attached and can be knocked over pretty easily. Not a big deal, but something to note.

~ The toys are just okay. I'll be adding more.



Overall, I found the water wheel table to be a good value, particularly if you want a more compact water table that is easy to assemble, move and store.

My daughter has always really liked the water, so we got her this table to play with on the patio. She loves it! She's still learning to stand and move around @ 8 mo. and the table is sturdy enough for her to pull up on and hang on to for balance (supervised of course). She really likes watching the water wheel go around and splashing away!



The drain does leak a little, but it's not a big deal. When we're done playing with the water, it gets dried off and brought inside as an additional play table. We stick toys in it and she walks around the edges playing with the toys in the middle.



Great value for the money. I had looked at a bunch of the other reviews on combo sand and water tables and saw good advice to keep sand and the water as separate activities to avoide a big mess. We'll get her a sand box when she's older, since she's still too young to have sand - it would just get eaten.

I've always been a big fan of Step 2 products so when I was in the market for a water table this was a no-brainer purchase for my 1 year old (the 5 and 7 year old also enjoy it to some degree). While a water table in general is a lot of fun for any child I was really disappointed with the quality of this product (hence the unusually low price). I would rather pay more and get a quality plastic then this piece. The plastic is not the sturdy, durable plastic I'm accustomed to by this brand, but rather the flimsy, will crack if you drop it, plastic. Upon assembling the tower a part chipped off. Which meant the tower wouldn't hold together and that part was useless. I called Step 2 - had to hold for 15 minutes to get through to anyone. Told them the tower was broken and I needed the 2 piece part sent to me. They were great and said they would - only I only received one half of the tower. So that part is still useless. I'm too frustrated with the whole thing to bother calling again. I would hesitate to purchase Step 2 again in the future until I know the plastic is more durable. God-forbid someone chooses to put some weight on this thing - I don't think it could support more than a few pounds without breaking a leg off. Save your money and by a Rubbermaid or Sterilite tote and fill it with a few inches of water and some rubber duckies.

I gave this to my daughter for her second birthday not realizing that my 5 y.o. would love it just as much! They play together for hours on the back deck.



It is a wonderful design - it is just the right height for both of them to play comfotably. There are two levels of play connected by a hill which the girls love rolling balls, etc down. It includes quite a bit, too. Two sail boats, a scoop, and a water wheel with a deatchable top sieve.

It is a perfect size for a deck or patio - not too big or imposing. It won't make your deck look like a toy store.

All in all, I am really please with this product. You should feel good buying it.'

I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.



Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping.



- The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit.

- It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever.

- The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire.

- The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm

- NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes.

- The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble.



Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool.



UPDATE: March 10:



I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good.



The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky.



This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:)



In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out).



So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.

The part that holds the nano is flimsy and poorly made.



Problem one: very rough edge that hangs out beyond the nano.



Problem two: the whole band depends on one very thin piece of plastic underneath the nano. The piece broke after about 2 months of daily use.
