Coffee Pot Replacement - cuisinart carafe, cuisinart coffee maker

I received an e-mail from Amazon asking me to review this carafe, which I had purchased about two weeks ago. OK, I'll write a review. Here we go: In a world where carafes often go unnoticed, many carafes and carafe-like kitchen accessories struggled to rise above the masses; to gain recognition; to find some way to be different. This carafe, all by itself, did just that. Bravely staying put in the coffee maker while near-boiling coffee dripped in, resolutely holding this coffee for up to several hours so that the Joe wouldn't just flow freely across the kitchen counter top, this carafe decided to make a difference. Sometimes our world seems to be coming apart at the seams, but you can count on this carafe to hold your coffee together in one place. Coming soon to a theater near you. (I'm here all week; try the roast beef). Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe-Black

Having already replaced my DCC 1200PRC twice a friend advised to shop for the generic version which is available at about half the price! Although I love my Cuisinart coffee maker, replacing the pot had become way too expensive. I am very happy with the model that I found at Total Vac.

This is an excellent example of soaking the consumer. You can buy an entire coffee maker for the price of this carafe, but once you've committed to the Cuisinart coffee maker, you've got to buy their replacement carafe only because nothing else will fit. And it's not terribly well made (fairly thin glass), which is why the original one broke so easily.

But it does make good coffee. Just be careful washing the carafe.

I have had my Cuisinart coffeemaker for 3-4 years now, and I'm currently on my fifth (!!!) replacement carafe. The carafe is fine. Its handle is sturdy, the carafe has never dribbled, and can hold max capacity of 12 cups of coffee. I use it about twice a day.

My only complaint is that the glass wall of the carafe is thin. My first, second, and third carafes were chipped or broken by falls. However, this latest one was very flimsy: after many months of handwashing (I never put it in the dishwasher), I accidentally tapped the side of the carafe on the granite counter next to the sink, and it _shattered_ into many small pieces. My fifth carafe now is 5 months strong.

Yes, it's upsetting that the replacement carafes are so expensive. But the coffeemaker itself is excellent, and I won't change getting replacement carafes (unless there is a generic out there that's cheaper and sturdier). This makes me think of inkjet printers: they're so cheap, but the ink is so expensive. The Cuisinart coffeemaker is inexpensive and EXCELLENT, but unfortunately the carafes are expensive.

I've owned Bunn coffee makers for over 20 years. I like them and the three minute coffee they produced. I felt I was ready for change, and I like my new Cuisinart coffee maker. I can live with the 12-15 minutes it takes to create a new pot of coffee. 20 plus years, I never broke a Bunn carafe. Now, 2 1/2 months after buying my new coffee maker, I'm buying a new carafe. I couldn't tell you how it cracked, but it's cracked and costs a little less than 1/3 the price of the entire coffee pot. It's very thin glass, and I'm at a loss. One more carafe and I'm back to a Bunn boy.

Very happy with my coffee maker which I have had for a long time. Unfortunately the carafe got dropped and had to buy this replacement which within a very short time became a "dribble" type of carafe which leaves us wiping up coffee all the time. The coffee leaks out from under the plastic ring. Never had this problem with the original. Its about 3 months old. Amazon says over 30 days contact the manufacturer. Cuisinart says you should have bought it from us but it has no warranty whatsoever so just buy one again. So I need to spend another 25-30 bucks or spill half my coffee on the counter. - Cuisinart Carafe - Replacement Carafe - Coffee Pot Replacement - Cuisinart Coffee Maker'

Digital Audio Cable - cable connectors, digital audio cable

The price on this item was great, however when I tested it in my car with my iphone I found that it only works correctly if you do not move the cable/plugs while in use. After plugging it in, as soon as I moved my iphone to set it down the sound started to cut out. I then tried to test it by wiggling the plugs on both ends, and it appears that the plugs aren't sturdy enough to make a good connection with either device. I currently have a Dynex brand cable for my car for this purpose and it works great with no issues....when it is plugged in, no matter how much you move the cord or plugs the sound stays strong and doesn't cut out...it is much thicker and the plugs much sturdier than this cable which I believe to be the reason it works so much better. This cable was going to be for our boat stereo, however I went ahead and ordered the Dynex cable for just a couple dollars more and will trash this one....not worth sending back for the cost. Hope this information helps anyone who is considering buying this item. Professional Cable ST35MM-06 Stereo 3.5mm 6-ft M/M Cable - Black

I have had this now for a few weeks. The moment I took it out of the package and hooked it to my stereo i knew there was a problem. My reason for buying this was to use to connect my ipod to my stereo. At first I thought maybe a speaker was out. But no, i started to move the cord around when moving my ipod and the music was cutting in and out. Now I have to sit there and move it around until it finally works. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have extra time on your hands....

Upon measuring the cord, I found that it was truly on 5 feet long, which isn't a big deal for my purposes, but may be an issue for others looking to purchase. Other than that, it is a good product at a good price.

You know what they say, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". The cable is thick and the connections look substantial, but looks can be deceiving. The connections are poor, resulting in that awful crackling sound that is made while you twist the connection trying to get the sound to come through clearly. I tried it with two different IPods and the problem remained. For the price, less than $3.00, it was not an expensive mistake, but it was still a mistake.

These cables do not work well. When I took it out of the package I was not impressed with the thickness of the wire. They seem very cheaply made. Considering the price, I guess it's not surprising. It wouldn't be a big deal if the cable actually worked. The sound is intermittent when connecting my mp3 player to my car stereo. The wire needs to be bent a certain way for the sound to work. I will be throwing it away and purchasing a different cable.

Works just as i wanted to. I have a cable like this before but it wasnt long enough so i got this in a longer length. I connect my computer to the back of my Sony Bravia 40" HDTV and I have an optic cable from my tv to my Sony 7.1 AV receiver so i get the surround sound from my receiver for all the programs i run on my computer. Lots of different uses for this cable, not just for headphones, ipods or mp3s. Enough said.

I bought this so I could connect my MP3 play to my vehicle's sound system. The cord feels durable even though it seems "thin". The rubber feels very strong, but it is flexible unlike thicker, traditional audio cords, which allows for easier folding to get it out of the way. The sound quality is superb through it. - Cable Connectors - Audio Cables - Ipod Cable - Digital Audio Cable'

Local History

Almost every year, I visit St. Louis on business and I've read several travel guide books about the city. This new guide by Brooke S. Foster is by far the best. Foster was formerly a writer for a local weekly newspaper that is the premier source of info on entertainment, dining and attractions in the area. She clearly brought a wealth of local knowledge and journalistic talent to the table when writing her book. It's definitely not your typical dry guide book. It's well written in a modern style that's concise, informative and entertaining to read. It covers not only the best known tourist attractions but also places, shops, restaurants and sights that only a well-traveled local - or someone who bought this book - would know about. I also think the organization, graphics and layout are extremely well done and much better than the usual travel guide. It's clear that a lot of thought and effort went into this handbook to St. Louis. I highly recommend it to visitors who want to get more out of their trip to St. Louis and to local residents who want to know more about their city. Moon St. Louis (Moon Handbooks)

I recently reviewed the Moon Kansas City (Moon Handbooks) guide and gave it four stars. I was about to give this book on St. Louis only three, but then realized that I was comparing thing unfairly. I used the Kansas City guide for a long weekend, but moved to St. Louis several months ago. Although no expert, my knowledge of the town gives me a broader base to nitpick little details in this volume. But trying to be objective, MOON ST. LOUIS provides a visitor with a number of useful tips for enjoying the city.

Of course everyone knows about the Arch. But not everyone knows about gems both large (the Cathedral Basilica and the Old Courthouse where Dred Scott originally went to trial) and small (Big Sleep Books). Like its Kansas City counterpart, MOON ST. LOUIS also provides useful tips on entire neighborhoods.

Nonetheless, even being objective, there are a few clunkers here. Hit Blueberry Hill for the incredible collection of pop culture memorabilia. It is a trip. But best burger? No. Try O'Connell's Pub. And although I live in Tower Grove South, a great neighborhood, the nearby Blackthorn's pizza is nothing to brag about. For breakfast, City Diner is appropriately included but The Mud House on hipster Cherokee Street is inappropriately not.

Those are mere disagreements in taste, however. Some exclusions are hard to excuse. One of the true delights in having moved to St. Louis is the discovery of a wonderful breakfast known as the slinger, and it is almost criminal neglect to outsiders to fail to mention it in the section on local cuisine. Further, in a beer town bursting with brewpubs, the author mentions only two. One of them, Schlafly's, is top dog among local brewers and justifiably so. The other, Morgan Street, is generally considered to be the worst of the lot. No mention is made of such gems as Amalgamated Brewing at The Stable, also on Cherokee Street, or any of the others. Yes, the St. Louis brewing scene is dynamic and ever changing, but then the author should at least have included info on certain websites such as stlhops or showmebeer to allow others to do research on places that may arise between editions of this book.

Of course, any one source on a city is going to create disagreement as to what to see and do. But for a short trip to St. Louis, or a starting point for things to do if you move here, you could do far worse than this Moon guide.

I just moved to St. Louis and in order to get acclimated to the city I decided to pick up a tour book. Little did I know how valuable that decision was! This tour book provides a wealth of information about St. Louis from well known attractions to things people who have been living here for a couple of years don't know about! Brooke Foster is a fantastic author and her descriptions of various places are some of the best reviews I have ever read (check out the review for the Complex, I am still blown away!). If you are new to the city or just visiting be sure to pick this gem up and hit the road exploring!'

Power Supply - chargers, garmin nuvi

Our OEM cord plug unscrewed and we could not find all the parts to reassemble so we purchased this version and used Locktite to retain the knurled nut on this exact replacement to prevent future unwanted disassembly. ChargerCity® Exclusive Vehicle Power Cable car charger for Garmin Nuvi 600 610 655 660 675 685 GPS. Item includes ChargerCity Manufacture Direct Replacement Warranty

This charger is a good alternative to the OEM charger. Cannot see the difference in the performance as it relates to charging the GPS system. It does not have the traffic update attachment of course. As a charger, it has not failed and I think it still has a lot of service to render. I will definitely recommend this charger to anyone needing a charger for their NUVI 600 series GPS system.

I paid special postage for it to be delivered before I left town. I received the Garmin charger for model 660 on time, the only regret

was that I did not order it earlier, so I would not have to pay the extra shipping charge.

My cable to connect my Garmin to my car broke and I was dismayed to find a Garmin replacement would run me 40+ bucks. This is a wonderful replacement that works well at a very good price. Highly recommended. - Car Charger - Garmin Nuvi - Chargers - Garmin Accessories'

29 Waist

My husband has other Levis 501's and these new ones are different in the weight of fabric ( light), fit(tighter in the leg and crotch) and color of stiching(white). Also the rivits and buttons are white instead of metal color. They also shrank when washed in cold water and line dried. Are these real Levis 501's or knock off's ?They are made in Mexico, his older ones are made in Colombia and are regular heavy fabric Levi 501 work pants. We are not happy with these pants but have already washed and used them. We would never order them again. Levi's Men's 501 Below The Waist Jean, Gothic, 29 32

I have been wearing Levi's 501 since I was 16 - which means that for 22 years I keep returning to the classic, and it always fits just right.

This is the first time I am ordering my jeans through Amazon - I am not a big fan of ordering cloths remotely without trying it on, but I thought what the hey, how can I go wrong with the classic 501. And indeed I got it just right, same old great blue jeans: enter levi's into the e-commerge age.

Bottom line - as great as ever, and now online.

Real 501's are made of 14 oz canvas-like material. These "Iconic Rigid" jeans are made of some sleazy, much lighter material that takes on a carefully contrived set of wrinkles to make them look like they'd been worn to bed soaking wet and dried out overnight. If you want real 501's stay away from these. I sent mine back right away.

Levi's Men's 501 Jean

Until this week, I had been wearing levis all my life and in recent years was only wearing 501's for all occasions. I buy many different colors for my various activites. Currently I have over 10 pairs that have never been worn because there is no quality control at Levi Strauss. Living out in the country it is too difficult and costs too much to send the items back in to Amazon. The 501's I have were made in Egypt, Mexico, Haiti and other various places. The labels all match in size however some of the jeans are at least a full size smaller at the waist and some of the pairs have the correct waist but very narrow legs. One last issue I have is that the material does not hold up. some of the 501's I bought in recent months rip after wearing them just a few times, some of the buttons come apart.

I have been wearing Levi 501 shrink-to-fit for at least 20 years. My advice re. buying online is don't. Here's why.

I hate to shop and normally just ask my wife to pick up some jeans when she's at the store. I know my size, and this has always worked. So, when internet shopping came into vogue, things were even easier. Until a couple of years ago. Starting then, my good old size started showing up too big, or too small, or wouldn't shrink right. Bottom line is that I wound up with several unusable pairs of jeans. So, I finally bit the bullet and made the trek to Macy's. Tried on 4-5 pairs of identically marked jeans and they were all over the map. Found a pair that fit. Washed them once and they turned into floods. Returned them and got another pair. Washed them and they're ok. So, I'm done with buying jeans online. And I'm probably done with Levi's.

I say "probably" because this assumes I can find anything any better. The market provides what the consumer demands, and apparently what the American consumer demands is cheap, useless junk. As other reviewers have observed, the current version of Levi's denim is shameful. Not only is it thin and non-wearing, but since it shrinks along one bias more than the other, it is important to orient the fabric in the machine correctly. Apparently, this is too much to ask. Ditto for getting either the waist or the leg to match the label.

Bottom line: My advice is, if you're going to buy Levi's, don't do it online. It just doesn't work.

If I had wanted blue burlap sack, I would have looked for it. Levi now thinks they can flog off any material on their customer. The last time I ordered these levis I got something in stripes that looked like I was escaped from prison. Now it is burlap! I will never order anything from Levi again until they come back to the original levi material. What complete junk. This product sucks.

These 501 jeans are really the only model of jeans that I have ever found that fit me, but the quality of them has certainly changed in the past year or so. This is the 3rd pair that I have bought from different places over the past few months. One made in Egypt, one made in Dominican Republic and this pair made in Mexico. They all have a very strange problem in common. The belt loop next to the label on the waist band has come apart on all 3 pair. This has happened on either the first or second wash. It is not like I am wearing them hard. I am not really putting any stress on them as they are loose on me and the belt is not pulling at the belt loop like I was bending and really working in them. It is very disappointing to have this happen to all of my new pairs when I have some pairs that are 6~10 years old that are in better shape than the brand new ones. Levis certainly lost their quality when they moved their production off shore. This is probably the last pair of their jeans that I will ever buy. I certainly hate to say that since I have been wearing this model since I was in elementary school. I have worked on my family's farm in them and put them through their paces in past years and they held up to my abuse and now they won't even stand up to a wash on the gentle cycle. I am very disappointed in this purchase.'

Bench Seat Cover - pet seat cover, car seat cover

the elastic at the top does not hold it on the seat very well, I constantly have to reposition it and I have no way of attaching it to the bottom of the seat? It is a good quality material though, it just needs better ties especially for the top part. Covercraft Universal Pet Pad for Bench Seat, Khaki

Based on the description I thought I was purchasing an item that would fit well in my car. However it was my mistake for buying it without an image.

It doesn't fit well in my car and did not come with instructions.

This cover just does not stay put and therefore defeats the entire purpose of protecting your seats from mud and paw scratches from your pet. It has very slick underside and constantly needs readjustment on my leather sits as it glides whichever way my dog moves. Because of that it also makes my dog unstable while in a car as on every turn it shifts in a direction car takes it and so shifts the dog with it, forcing him to lose his balance. It may perform better in compact cars with fabric seats but I would not recommend to buy this cover if you have large seats and especially if you have leather seats.

I use this product every day, taking my dog around town. The cover installs in about 1 min. and comes out even faster. The way it installs, you can also fold back half of it for someone to ride sitting beside your dog, without sitting on the pet cover. Cleaning is a breeze, haul it out, hose it down and it dries in a few hours. Or, you can simply throw it in the wash, then air dry it. This product is Made in USA, which is important to me as well, and now hard to find in a pet seat cover. - Dogs - Dog Seat Cover - Pet Seat Cover - Car Seat Cover'

Customized Shift Knob - knob, razo

Love this knob. Have no idea why I waited 77k on my 2006 Accord to put it on. Makes shifting more of a joy to a manual car since you hands is on the knob so much. I sometimes debate whether I should have gotten the long RA96, cant really know if short or long feels best until you try both out I guess. But this one is just a bit higher than OEM and my arm can rest on the rest pad and still shift. Looks sharp, feels great and a lot cheaper than Momo brand. I think Razo is top notch. Install is easy as can be too. Razo RA96REA GT Advance Red Leather Short Shift Knob - Pack of 1

Replacing a worn shift knob in a Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, I looked at quite a few different ones. Finally decided on this Razo and am glad I did. This shift knob has a much better weight and feel than stock. Installation was easy with the included adapters. I now have better, more solid shifting using the Razo. Only thing that I didn't like was no shift pattern on the knob itself, but on stickers that could be placed on the console.

Very nice product, but the mounting system could be better.

What I did to the proper sized plastic adapter was to pre-tap it before installing, vs just screwing it on to the shifter shaft and having it "cut its own threads.

I also used a drop of thread locker on the shaft before I screwed down the shift knob. Now it is on there and not going anywhere.

Bought this to replace the stock leather knob that had worn out, and I'm so glad I picked this one. Has a great, balanced weight to it which helps with shifting, and has quickly become the focal point in the car. The leather is top-quality, and will last for longer than I'm going to own the car. All my friends ask where I got it, and all the females say it's sexy. You can't go wrong with this one. It self-threads to your shifter, so you don't have to worry about sizing. My only complaint is that it has become a tad bit loose, but not enough to become a problem, just a little annoyance. Otherwise great knob!

I looked and shopped for a nice shift knob high and low and finally came across this one which looked nice..IT IS! Install was a cinch and am going to apply some thread lock(as another person said)to just ensure it stays put and secure. The fit and feel are amazing and its well worth the price and wait for shipping! Put on an Altima SE-R and couldnt be happier!

The weight balance, craftsmanship, and assembly procedure are great. Unlike the screw-mounted aftermarket shift knobs, this one has an insert that threads to your particular shift lever so it won't come loose.

I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the fact that it does not fit all reverse lockout rings. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS reverse lockout ring is about 2mm too wide, for example. Razo should at least state that it only fits MOST reverse lockout rings rather than just giving a blanket statement like they do. The best course of action would be for Razo to actually list the opening diameter.

the best shift knob ever!! awesome grip, fits perfect on the celica, it has 3 different addapters a set of decals for the gear locations on your vehicle,I uploaded a picture of it install, I think it looks great with my blue dash led kit.., makes you wanna always keep your hands on it at all times..worth every penny!!!!! - Razo - Knobs - Knob - Shifter'
