Ok, please let me clarify some points that seem to confuse many people...



First, when buying power cords and HDMI cords for cell phones, you have to be sure whether you're buying a 'Micro' connection cord, or a 'Mini' connection cord... And just to clarify for anyone who may have doubts, both the HTC Evo and the Moto Droid X have MICRO ports: Micro USB power and Micro HDMI.



As the title of this cord says, this is a MICRO (Type D) HDMI to Regular HDMI cable... This will work with both the EVO and the DROID X.



The cable is very adequate in length, and seems to be of good quality and construction. The connectors fit snugly and securely. I tested it with my 42" Panasonic Plasma, and it worked flawlessly. It passes the signal from the phone to the television. The quality of the picture will vary depending on several other variables, but the cable itself does its job perfectly.



As soon as I plugged it in, my EVO notified me that it had made an HDMI connection, and said I could play videos or slideshows. It takes a moment for the phone to recognize the connection, so don't freak out if you don't see it connected immediately. It shouldn't take too long though. Once the phone shows connected, please make sure your television is set to the appropriate HDMI signal, if it has more than one. If your TV has more than one HDMI connection, and you don't change to the connection that has the signal from your phone, then you won't see anything at all. I don't know if that is the problem one reviewer was having, but it's a common problem. Don't forget that.



The HTC Evo will allow you to display photos and videos only through the 'Gallery' app. (This may change later) You can play videos that you recorded on your phone, but only if you recorded them in 720 resolution. If you have your phone set to record at a lesser resolution, then you may not be able to play them via HDMI on your TV. So, if you can't see a video you're trying to play, then you might try recording a video on your phone in 720 resolution, then playing that. I don't know if that is the problem one of the other reviewers was having, but it is a common problem. Don't forget that. (And yes, you can display videos that you transfered onto your phone as well)



Also, you can only display photos from your phone as a slideshow. You can't display them singly. But, you can control the slideshow from the phone, and go forward, backward, pause, etc... Same with the videos.



The quality is not always great, depending on your video source, so don't expect the same sort of HD you would get with your cable television or Blu-Ray. But, that is NOT a problem with the cable. It's a mixture of the video source and your TV. Remember that HDMI from phones is still newer technology, and you shouldn't expect miracles. But, watching back photos and videos that you made on your phone should be more than adequate.



I have not tried watching videos from YouTube through the HDMI out yet, but I've read that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It might work if they are HD videos recorded at 720 or more. But, just in case don't expect it.



So, having said that... The cable is just fine. Save yourself some money, and get this one for a few bucks. You don't need to pay 29.95 from Sprint or Verizon, and you don't need to pay a lot for any special gold plated cable...



HDMI is a digital signal... It does not suffer from gradation like analog signals do. There's either a singal or there's not. Therfore, as long as a cable is meets the HDMI standards, there is NO difference in HDMI cables. So, any HDMI compliant cable (Type D Micro) will work the same, and there is no difference between a five dollar cable and a fifty dollar cable, as long as they are both fully HDMI compliant, and well constructed. Save your money!



In short, if you simply want an easy way to show your family/friends photos and videos you took on your phone, then this is perfect.

There is no better quality HDMI cable that you will find for this price!! At 6' long, the quality is that of any Monster brand or like - cable. Works PERFECT! I'm sure this will work for the HTC EVO phone on the Sprint network, the one that has the HDMI output as well. Buy this cable if you have the DROID X or the HTC EVO - you will not be disappointed!!!

Advertised as a Micro HDMI to HDMI for Droid X. Although it did fit into my Droid X and was able to connect to my HDMI input on my Vizio, it didn't project the pics or video in my Gallery. I tried on two TVs, no luck. Bought another cable from another vendor and it worked perfectly.

This cable did exactly what it's manufacturers said. It arrived quickly and I plugged my LED TV to my EVO and videos and pictures from my phone can be scene and heard on my TV.... plain and simple, it works perfectly with my htc Evo.

This product will save you money, this HDMI cable will work with DroidX, and cost less than $10 even with shipping! If you buy it anywhere else it will cost about $40. This is a micro HDMI compatible with DroidX

I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. The product was delivered earlier than anticipated; and, I haven't had any problems with it to date. It's basically your standard multi-bit screwdriver, it'd be hard to mess it up. The small black caddy that the bits come in does not actually attach to the screwdriver. So I opened the cap at the butt of the handle and put all the bits in there along with a couple of extra bits. I bought this to organize a corner of my desk that was jam packed with notebooks of different sizes. This accommodates four large (3 inch) notebooks or multiple smaller notebooks with three small shelves in the center for - in my case, desk toys. It has freed up a lot of clutter in the corner of my desk and there is a sturdy shelf on top for more books or a plant. This wire-mesh corner organizer fits perfectly in the back corner of my cubicle's desk, where previously there was a mishmash of stuff. The little shelves in front are perfect for Post-It notes and other small items.



My only gripe, and it wasn't enough to ding the rating, is that it doesn't come with assembly instructions, but it was simple enough to figure out. Now that it's assembled it seems quite sturdy and well-made; the wire mesh that forms the sides, top and bottom is solid and strong.



Overall, an excellent deal and a good idea for filling a desk corner.

This organizer was easy to put together and holds my 3, 3", 3-ring collected recipe binders nicely.

I use every available inch of it, including the top, where I keep new recipes for trial before deciding to include or exclude from binders. It is sturdy, which is essential for heavy-duty binders filled with sheet-protected pages. The Denali 136-Piece Titanium Contractor's Drill and Drive Bit Accessory Set was on sale as a Gold Box Special recently. For the price, I figured that even if the drill bits and the accessories weren't of the best quality (I didn't expect them to be), that I should still be able to get more than my moneys worth out of most of the set. I was wrong.



The set arrived and the case was in good condition. Upon opening the set, I discovered a few bits loose in the case from being shipped. That wasn't a problem since that seems to happen on most sets packaged this way. The finish on the tool and drill bits (especially the titanium drill bits and sockets) looked good. At that point, I was pleased with my purchase and I had a couple of small projects to do so I would be using the set soon.



I needed to put a new registration sticker my vehicle's rear license plate, so I grabbed this kit and my Makita driver to do this small job. I needed to remove the two bolts from the license plate frame (7/16" bolt heads) in order to remove the rear license plate and remove the old registration sticker before applying the new one. I grabbed the 7/16" socket from the Denali set, connected it to my cordless driver and was ready to get this job done. To my disbelief, the 7/16" socket would not fit on the bolt head! I don't know if the size was cut wrong or if the socket got over-plated with chrome, but there was no way it would fit. I tried the sockets on either side of the 7/16" socket and, of course, one was too loose and the other too tight. I just shook my head and went back upstairs to get a Craftsman 7/16" socket and then proceeded to finish this small task. I wasn't happy that the socket was so out of spec that it was unusable since a already had a full mechanic's socket set so no big deal, I still figured I could use the rest of the bits so I wasn't too disappointed.



I was looking forward to using the titanium drill bits (the main reason I purchased this set), so I grabbed the set to do another small project. I had received a product that had the holes in the wood drilled too far apart for another piece to fit, so I filled the holes with industrial strength hot glue and let it sit for a week before re-drilling the holes. I grabbed the 1/4" titanium drill bit and chucked it up in my cordless Makita drill. I had already remarked where I was going to drill the two new holes and used a center punch to mark the spots. I didn't have the wood piece in a vice since the wood wasn't hard and it would be q quick job just to drill the two holes.



When I started drilling the first hole, I was disappointed that the titanium bit didn't just auger right into the would. I had to apply a little more force and it took a little longer to drill the hole to the proper depth. By now, I'm starting to get unimpressed with this set. I went on to drill the second hole and it drilled much like the first one. When I went to assemble the metal piece that I had to re-drill the two holes for, I was shocked to find that the holes were too large for the metal piece! I am meticulous about measurements and even used digital calipers to determine the proper hole size - and even used a drill bit that was just a hair undersized so the metal piece would be a very snug fit.



I went to unchuck the Denali 1/4" titanium drill bit and as I was doing that, I noticed that the tip of the drill bit looked like it wobbled a little. Once I had removed the drill bit I rolled it across a flat surface and the 1/4" titanium drill bit wobbled as it was rolling. The drill bit was out of round! That was inexcusable - no matter what the cost of the set was. I removed the rest of the Titanium drill bits and rolled each of them across a flat surface. I discovered three other bits that also were out of round - one wobbled so badly that it wouldn't even roll across the flat surface.



I was going to have to refill the holes I had drilled in the wood and re-drill proper sized holes at a later date. I purchased the Denali set primarily for the titanium drill bits and I could always use some extra driver bits, however, twice I tried using this set and twice I was let down. The quality of the set I received was so poor; it was worthless to me. Drill bits that weren't straight and a socket that was too small to fit over a bolt of the same size just confirmed to me that my set was a piece of junk! Based on what I had discovered, the only items that MIGHT be useable would be the driver bits. Even with the Gold Box price, it wasn't worth paying that much just for the driver bits - which may or may not have been straight or hardened correctly.



Even though it was a pain to do, I packed the set up and returned it to Amazon for a refund. Since I didn't have the outer cardboard sleeve the set came with, I'm only entitled to receive half of my purchase price as a refund. As far as I'm concerned, I'll take the half and never again buy a Denali brand anything! It's possible that I just got a bad set, however, there was no excuse for the socket not being the right size. That indicated to me that the quality control at Denali was virtually nonexistent. This wasn't a complicated product with a motor or moving parts - and still they got it wrong. As far as I'm concerned, the Denali brand tools are worthless (at least to me). Your mileage may vary. Denali Titanium 136-Piece Contractor's Drill and Drive Bit Accessory Set

I ordered this drill bit kit and it was lost in shipment, so Amazon sent out another. I received the first kit afterwards, and decided to keep both and paid for both since these were useful kits. The drill bits and bits are nice quality, but the same cannot be said for the carrying case, especially the small bit carriers.



In both cases, the smaller bits arrived loose out of their respective slots. In both cases, the little carrier cases had broken tabs, so they cannot be closed securely (i had to use Scotch tape to tape one of them shut). Not a big deal since I won't be using the small bit carrier cases much.



Overall, if you want nice set of drill bits, this kit will do for the price. Just don't expect the secondary part of the kit (the carrier cases) to be up to quality. - Drill Bit Set - Bits - Power Tool Accessories - Home Repair'

While the 1st edition of the book is itself a good text on the subject, how could this book be improved upon? It appears that the 1st edition is at best only an outline of what appears it the 2nd edition. Each of the subjects is covered in much more detail than the 1st edition. New subjects have also been added. Just the section on motors makes this book worth reading. The appendix is very interesting reading, and could almost be made into a quick reference book itself! The book is well organized, and subjects are presented in a logical sequence: The Z domain makes a lot more sense if one first understands the S domain. The writing style is excellent, and has a way of explaining potentially confusing material, in a simple, clear manner. The mathematics throughout the book helps explain the much of theory, but if the reader doesn't care for the math, an understanding of the subject can still be gained without it. Many college texts approach the subject from theory alone. While this book also provides the theory, it also presents the practical application side in a perfect balance. It is apparent that the author has worked in the real world. Also appreciated was the free Model-Q software examples sprinkled through out the book. They enable a reader the ability to experiment with the examples, and gain a better understanding of each of the subjects. While this text is a very thorough, where a reader wants to explore a subject further, the numerous references to other sources are everywhere. No matter how much you think you may know about the subject, there is something everyone can learn from this book. This book is control systems A-Z, and is the best book I have seen on the subject. I highly recommend this book to anyone regardless of his or hers expertise level.-Dave Trapasso Control System Design Guide, Third Edition: Using Your Computer to Understand and Diagnose Feedback Controllers

I have a whole shelf of control theory books, and this one is the one I use most. Ellis is one of the few people writing on control theory who actually designs working industrial control systems for a living. All the usual theory is in there: Laplace transforms, Z-transforms, and the S-plane. But this author has a much clearer idea about what actually works in the real world than most control theorists.

This is a really good book that simplified control system for the real world. Most text spend too much time on theory and analysis and end the discussion with a bunch of equations and graphs without explaining how to implement the design. This book covers both analog and digital control, and lets you download a software from the author's web site. This software, ModelQ, lets you play with various parameters so you can see how the system behaves when it is not optimized.One drawback with the book is it only covers PID control and its variants, but doesn't cover state-space control. While state-space control may be considered "overkill" by many control engineers, state-space is used in industry. The decision to use state-space is often not in the hands of individual engineers, so it may not be an option to ignore state-space. It would be nice if Mr. Ellis could cover state-space in his next edition of the book.

George Ellis does a great job of bridging the gap between academia and industy in Control System Design Guide 2nd Edition. This book gives the practicing engineer the information necessary to put into practice much of the theory that he/she learned in the university. The book primarily focuses on motion control and modeling of motion systems. If you are working on a control system and would like to make sure you get the performance you need, you should buy this book.

This book is NOT just another academically oriented controls textbook. This book focuses exclusively on servo and motion systems. It presents highly complex topics, but avoids relying on detailed mathematical analysis, and instead emphasizes practical approaches that can be applied by anyone working on drive and motion systems. The book coveys complex topics in a clear and enlightening manner. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of this book is its use of ModelQ®. ModelQ® is a Windows© based modeling and simulation program written by the author and available at his website. It is used to illustrate and demonstrate various control concepts. ModelQ® has a very easy and intuitive user interface. ModelQ also contains a Digital Signal Analyzer (DSA). The DSA is a graphical display of the Bode plot (gain and phase) of the transfer function for the selected system output vs. the selected input. While this topic is heavily covered in most college controls courses and textbooks, few convey an understanding of the frequency domain performance of systems as clearly as this book and ModelQ®. I believe you will thoroughly enjoy the Control System Design Guide. This book covers a broad range of control topics, and addresses them in the framework of servo systems in a practical and application-oriented manner. Whether you are a controls technician or advanced degreed control engineer, this book will definitely make you more skilled and practiced in the art of control system design for servo and motion systems. This book is absolutely amazing. I wanted to finish it all at once. The devotion "Cathy" and "Jon" demonstrated to "Dawn" is inspiring. I am not sure when this actually took place however it is intersting to see how the foster care system has changed as well as how it contrats with that of England. As a student working toward an MSW with a background in counseling adolescents this book was very real on the pain teens are going through today. Parents have a high calling and this book demonstrates the need all the more as it draws our attention to NSSI/SIB more commonly known as "cutting". You most likely know a cutter! Cut

Certainly a book that makes you pause and look at troubled teenagers through a different set of lenses. "Cut" is not only well written, it is completely engrossing. You will cry, laugh, and learn to love along with Cathy as she tries desperately to parent Dawn. A great read!

Cut tells the story of Dawn, one of Cathy Glass' first children she fostered. Dawn seemed to be almost too good; indeed it turned out she was a truant, a drinker, carouser and cutter. She had a forgotten past in which she was abused and was involved in some horrifying escapades. Cathy and her then-spouse felt their way through the process of caring for this girl whilst protecting their infant son from her attentions. I enjoyed the book and was sad to hear Cathy and John had parted ways.

I enjoyed this book. Dawn was a very interesting girl and I really felt for her. I did not enjoy it as much as damaged, but I think Cathy Glass is a great writer in general. Ugly stiks are the absolute best rods ever for the largest of the catfish. We bring in monster flatheads and blue cats with the Tigers without any problems at all, period. Set one of these rods up with an Abu Garcia 7000 and some good line, and hang on! If your a serious catfish fanatic and want to go after some hogs, look no more, you just found your rod. This rod just feels sturdy. I use mostly ugly stiks but this is my first tiger. Big difference. The guides are strong and the rod feels great. I fish very snaggy areas and this rod helps me guide the fish where I want them to be, not the trees they want to wrap themselves around.

The rod is well made and strong with a tip that has great action. Strong butt section and stiff midsection. Should be a great rod for large catfish. When I received mine though, it had surface scratches and looked in very good condition. It didn't look new and I am not happy about it. They are not deep so I will keep it but hope if you get one it will look "brand new."!
