Portable Vehicle Gps

We owned a Garmin Nuvi 760 for years and were very happy with the unit. Solid features and solid construction. Had no plans to upgrade till the unit was stolen from a rental car. I considered other manufacturers but kept coming back to Garmin. Reviewed their products, relative features, and written opinions, did my feature and cost comparisons and settled on the 2460LMT. Why?

1. I wanted the larger 5" screen. When you are driving your attention should be on the road. Larger features are easier to read and understand. Even the difference between a 4.3" and 5" unit is important and helps when you are driving in an unfamiliar city.

2. The voice command feature allows you to operate the unit hands free. The voice recognition performance of the unit is excellent and the menu structure is thoughtfully formulated. This is a great feature.

3. The routing/navigation feature-sets are the most current available since this is a new unit release. The auto zoom on the map is a nice addition. The lane assist feature that Garmin implemented is also very helpful when you are in heavy traffic in an unfamiliar city.

4. The construction of the unit seems solid. Having dropped my 760 onto the pavement on occassion I was very concerned with the vulnerability of the glass screens on the 3760 and 3790 units - an issue reported by some users. If you are going to own a GPS (or cell phone) you are going to drop it, so having a durable unit is important.

5. The Garmin touch screen has good sensitivity, good brightness and contrast, and limited glare (a bigger problem for capacitance type glass screens like the 3760 and 3790)

6. This unit has bluetooth for hands free calling - as did my 760. This is a nice feature that allows you to keep your hands on the wheel and attention on road - where they belong.

7. I chose the LMT variety because I travel often for work, and all over the country. The lifetime maps and traffic are a great deal compared to buying a unit and then paying for map updates and a travel subscription. Map updates do matter. If you are buying a GPS, buy one with the lifetime maps and save yourself some money.

8. My old unit had MSN direct for online traffic, weather and gas pricing and I had purchased the lifetime access. MSN Direct is ceasing operations on Jan 2012 and only two current production Garmin units have a comparable feature using a different service provider - called NuLink. If you buy the NuLink unit, after the first year you have to pay an annual subscription fee to continue your online access. I didnt want that hassle and so picked the LMT for the lifetime traffic. As noted elsewhere, this comes with pop-up adds that appear when the vehicle is stopped. These are small banner ads that appear at the top 20% or so of the screen. They are far less intrusive than I feared when I read the alarmist horror stories written in some reviews. I spent last weekend visiting/driving in Chicago and my travel was not impeeded by these adds. The traffic alerts are clearly presented and understandable - but note that they are limited to major Metro areas. So you should look at the coverage area map link from the Garmin web site to ensure your city is covered if this is important to you.

So to summarize, this is a well built and very functional unit that matched my needs and performs better than I'd hoped. Certainly 5 stars.

And my final thought. Be sure to register your GPS with your manufacturer and use the locking feature if available (e.g. Garmin-lock). This will prevent a thief from ever being able to use your unit if it is stolen. Garmin nĂ¼vi 2450 5-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator

I have owned many Garmin products from the old Street Pilots to this 2460LMT. I comes in a nice sturdy body and t won't fall apart if you drop it. The customizable Main Menu is great. Up to 15 icons if you wish. I put the Voice Command there as I think it is one of the greatest strengths of this unit. Only in certain circumstances do you have to type except for particular addresses.

One of the tings I really like is the lack of the word "re-calculating" if you decide to go a different route. That used to drive me nuts. Now the unit looks and quickly moves to change the route. If you dislike the route you are taking, just press the "Detour" icon and it will re-route the entire trip. However, it may take you a way, you would not want to go, just out-of-the-way roads.

Voice Command works perfectly and is very helpful very quickly.. Best feature.

I will keep this unit and highly recommend it.

I loved my old Garmin Streetpilot 2720. It is old though and I wanted to upgrade to traffic and a battery. After about 2 years, and several GPS units later, including Garmin, TomTom and Megellan brands, all the units I tried drove me crazy with all having some of the features I wanted but none having all.

The Nuvi 2460LMT has pretty much ALL the features of the old Streetpilot plus more really cool stuff, like voice activation. Now I don't even have to touch it to make it work! OK you will spend $300.00 but you will be happy I think. I spent $250 and was very disappointed with all the GPS units at that price point from 3 different manufacturers. I think the extra few bucks gives you such a big upgrade, you get so much more value at $300 than you get at $250.

Be aware, if you look online at the Garmin manual, it covers the 22xx, 23xx and 24xx series. I initially ordered the 2360LMT and was very disappointed, and returned it instantly. The features that I needed and wanted are NOT in the 22xx and 23xx series yet the manual does not tell you specifically which are in and which are not in each series. Nether does the Garmin website provide enough detail.

What I like:

Voice operation works wonderfully.

Loud clear voice, Garmin excels here.

Wonderful screen, auto zooms with speed, the faster you go the more ahead it shows.

Touch screen is excellent.

Very fast in everything it does.

Customizable main menu screen.

Advanced Avoidance feature - lets you avoid a specific road or location on a route.

Loads of useful features.

Lifetime maps and traffic.

Cons

Lots on menus that can see you searching for a feature you want to change but once you get it set up you will be ok.

Traffic is free but uses ads to pay for the service. The ads are a little bigger than I would like to have seen but are done in such a way that they are not overly intrusive. They are not there when you are moving or using the menus, and well I'm not paying for the traffic service so I'm happy!

My recommendation is this - if you're a GPS junky, sales rep, professional driver, or like to speak to your GPS, spend the extra on the 2460LMT, it's a great upgrade over the units a few bucks less.

I just ordered a second unit. My wife insisted on the upgrade after playing with my 2460LMT when we went out to dinner tonight.'

Tv Wall Mount - tv wall mount, lcd wall mount

I bought a 50" Plasma and decided it would be best on my wall. I went looking through stores and found higher prices than this one and bulkier designs.

I love the articulating arms!! I can pull it away from the wall to access the wires, etc. and adjust the left to right tilt for best viewing. It seems very sturdy and has worked great for me the last six months.

It was easy enough to mount to the wall but if you are not good with tools seek experienced assistance. You will need someone to hold it up for you unless you are good at this sort of thing. The hardest part was hanging the TV and that was only due to the weight of it.

Note: Make sure you have wall studs with 16" centers if mounting to drywall!! I bought it not realizing I had 24" centers on that one wall. This caused me to mount it to a steel plate so it could get anchored to the studs (The 50" TV weighed 125lbs!!) WOW. I bought a cheetah mount that only tilts for my 52" SAMSUNG LCD TV. But the configuration of my living room/kitchen area had me thinking I'd rather go with an articulating wall mount, so I can turn it if I'm cooking or if I have people over on the sectional sofa I can turn it that (the opposite) way. So I bought this puppy (I kept the other tilting-only mount for my bedroom LCD TV which I haven't purchased yet). After taxes and S&H, it came out to $106. A similar product at BestBuy and hhgregg costs well over $300 (bestbuy has some that articulate and tilt that are up to $750!!!)

I'm a civil engineer, I work on designing things as a career. When I opened the box and saw the structural bulk of this thing, I was very impressed. I knew my brand new TV would be secure hanging from this thing. It came with a BUNCH of extra hardware in case you needed to use it (I ended up using the screws they supplied for the connection to the TV, since mine were too short). I also used their spacers to help ensure full thread engagement.

I wanted to install the TV on the wall and run the cables through the wall, so I had a lot of work cut out for me. Also, I live on a first floor condo unit, so my studs were in groups of 3 and only 12" apart. So I had to cut a whole in the drywall and add another adjacent stud to it. The lag screws they supplied are more than efficient. Just be sure to have the right sized screwdriver head to avoid stripping the heads.

Once I got the TV up I load tested it. I brought it out about 3/4 the total extension distance and first pulled down on it a bit. Then I slowly transferred all my weight to the mount. I heard a little bit of stress in the wood, but after all 215lbs of me was hanging from it, I knew that my 66 lb tv would be just fine. It's only upon writing this review that I see it's rated for 180 lbs. so it's a good thing that I didn't see that before load-testing it. (even though, being an engineer and all) I know things are derated all the time. The instructions were a little fuzzy, but it's still pretty easy to not screw up.

Feel free to ask me any questions about the TV or the wall mount, i'd be glad to answer.

Bought this mount for a Samsung LN46A750 46-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color also purchased at Amazon.

I was impressed with the sheer weight of this mount as it weighs nearly as much as the TV I mounted to it. It left me with the impression it could hold what it claims (165 lbs.). I weigh around 260 lbs. and leaned heavily on the empty mount after I put it on the wall (before attaching TV) and it didn't budge.

Its appearance is somewhat stylish for what it is. I have it tilted out fairly well so there is quite a bit showing to any who enter the room, yet it blends w/ the back of the TV and looks professional.

The instructions were a bit flaky, but it got the point across as I was able to mount it and this was the first time I have installed a wall mount. Although, I do consider myself fairly intelligent and do DIY stuff all the time so I'm not new to such things.

The range of movement is awesome...this thing will move any which way you try and with a fair amount of ease. I didn't mess with any "settings" as the instructions didn't say much about any of the levers on it. It did what I wanted by default.

Altogether a good buy and I recommend this mount to anyone.

I have a 50" Samsung plasma that weighs just over 80 pounds, so the specs are well within the range of this mount. The directions are OK, but lack some detail and any illustrations would be helpful. That being said, it is not rocket science to figure it out. Spending some time looking over the product, the tv and the mounting location, I figured out the items I would need.

The mounting hardware was a collection of items that did not work with this mount, such as: wood lag screws too short and smallish; no screws to mount tilt arms to back of tv; dry wall mounting inserts (per instructions & common sense, this should never ever be installed just to drywall); and a plethora of various other screws, washers, spacers, etc. that could not be used with this application or mount.

So, I made a trip to my local Home Depot & Lowe's to pick up the necessary items.

I bought some M8 (1.0 threads) x 30 mm machine screws, 5/16" x 1" flat washers (could not find M8x1" washer, but these work) & M8 locking washers to mount the tilt arms to the back of my tv. The instructions suggest using the screws that previously occupied the mounting holes on the back of the tv, but when you add the tilt arms and both washers (which are necessary, flat washer to distribute the load more effectively across the width of the arm & the locking washer to make sure the screw will not back out at all), the screws were not nearly long enough to mount. My tv will accommodate a 600x400 Versa mount. The tilt arms have various mounting holes on the bottom of the arm and slots on the top. Based on the size and weight balance of your tv (i.e. where the heaviest areas of the tv are, mine is in the bottom), you need to move the arms up or down to position where on the wall mount the bulk of the tv weight will rest (more on this later.....). Unfortunately, the slots have dividers in them (separates into three slots and they limit the number of holes that are usable on the bottom of the tilt arm). The importance of having flexibility to move the arms up and down on the back of the tv is not limited just to the weight distribution of the tv, but also to slightly adjust the vertical position of the tv on the wall. No matter how many measurements you make, you never know exactly how the tv will rest as it is so much weight to support that it will pull down slightly and affect the vertical position and there are various tilt options (which is critical if you are trying to center it in a specific location-mine is in a custom built wall/cabinet unit). My suggestion to the manufacuturer would be to make both the top and bottom mounting positions with open slots for their entire length to give ultimate flexibility.

Now, on to mounting the wall bracket. My mount came assembled, arms attached to wall plate. Together, they are very heavy and awkward to hold with the arms extended. My initial plan was to mark my first hole, have my wife hold the mount up and I would screw the upper left corner screw in, level the wall plate and then drill the upper right hole. My wife said, "I can't hold that up, why don't you just take the arms off......." What a great idea (which I can honestly say I did not have).......Just a simply ratchet on four screws and off the arms come and you are left with a wall plate that weights much less and not awkward at all to hold for install. The hardest part of this was putting wood screws all the way in........I bought four 1/4" x 2.5" galvanized wood screws, 1/4" x 1" flat washers & 1/4" locking washers to mount the wall plate to studs. The biggest issue here was not the mount itself, it was the location of the studs relative to where the center of my built in cabinet was. The wall plate allows for some flexibility by having slots for the mounting screws. The wall plate is made for 16" O.C. studs (standard for home construction), but the slots are wide enough for about 18". Additionally, the bracket that the tilt arms hang on is wider than the wall mount and gives you an additional couple of inches of flexibility. Unfortunately in my situation, I was still approximately 1.5" off center.......but again, this is all based on the stud location, not the mount itself. The mount is solid on the wall, and when you hang or pull the tv out, you can hear the wood creaking a little bit but there is no sag.......and with 80+ pounds extended about 2'from the wall, to not sag or twist is impressive.......the mount will hold. As several of the other reviewers have suggested, mounting plywood to the studs or solid blocking between the studs can alleviate this issue........Once the wall plate is on, I just reinstalled the arms very easily.

Now, the biggest issue I have.....the tilt........I followed the instructions and tightened the center bolt and nut on the tilt arms as tight as they would absolutely go. I also tightened the plastic knobs as tight as they would go. When we placed the tv on the bracket, the tilt was automatically pulled all the way down so the tv was all the way at the bottom of the tilt angle and did not work for my location. We must have taken it off the mount a half dozen times, retightend the bolt and knobs, moved the arms up and down on the various mounting holes (on mine, I can only use about 3 of the 10 holes as discussed above) and nothing worked.........no matter how tight, due to the weight of the tv, it would always slide to the lowest tilt angle. So, I logged on yesterday afternoon to start scouring the reviews.......and low and behold, others had suggestions........I have to give credit to Joseph from IL for his fix of this problem (thanks Joseph)........I bought various diameter Cleve pins (machine screws will work as well, these Cleve pins are smooth so they sit flush and won't scratch the arms) to slide into the tilt slot to limit it's motion.......They have to be at least 2" long to pass all the way through.....I tried 1/2", 3/8" & 1/4" diameter and settled on the 1/4" as it had just the right amount of tilt. This is a permanent fix, granted it removes your ability to adjust the tilt frequently, but due to the difficulty to grab and tighten/loosen the knobs (the mount bracket gets in the way) and how hard you have to crank down on the knobs, I do not believe that you actually can use the tilt function on the fly.....you pretty much have to take the tv down, set the tilt and put it back up.......you can very easily pull the tv away from the wall, and rotate it side to side, but tilting is difficult........although, my thought is that you can set it and forget it on the tilt angle for the most part.......

The final issue I have is that after getting through all of this, my tv is about 1/2" out of level from left to right (which is really bugging my wife)......not sure exactly the cause because I know the wall plate is dead level (I checked it many times).........I believe it is a combination, of sliding the tv to one side of the hanging bracket to try and get it in the center of my built in cabinet and maybe the mounting holes on the back of the tv being a little uneven.......just not quite sure, but understandable.........I am now going to move the mount over slightly (to center it on the built in cabinet) and mount the wall plate to accomodate the amount that it is out of level.........kind of a pain at this point, but after all this I (ok, my wife) really wants it right........

Unfortunately, it is impossible to diagnose many of these issues until you actually have it hung on the wall........you really need the entire weight of the tv to be supported by the mount and see what gravity does. So, you are likely going to mount the wall bracket twice, unless you have a smaller tv on the lower end of the specs for this mount.......

Overall, my only issue with this mount is the tilt angle issue.....but that is very easily over come with a couple of pins that cost about $4.......I did have to adapt to my specific install and buy some additional hardware, however, all said and done I have about $15 in additional hardware and the initial cost was less than half of what a similar (with less features) one cost at Best Buy........this mount is extremely sturdy and well built.......hanging a 80+ pound tv about 2' from the wall is very impressive.......I would recommend this mount, for the cost and features, it is hard to beat.......Just thought I would pass along some tips to make the install easier..... - Tv Wall Mount - Lcd Wall Mount - Wall Mount - Cheetah'

Watch Band Remover - watch repair kit, watch tools

When I bought this little kit I was amazed by the price. So many little tools at such a low price is great--unless you can only use them once before your kit has a few broken tools! The only tool in my kit worth owning is probably the hammer; the pin tools for removing band pins are incredibly cheap and slightly oversized for most of the pin holes on my bands. All of my pin tools are now either bent or broken (the blue plastic pin remover is also broken). Unfortunately the list goes on...the knife is very soft metal and burred after a few watches. The screwdrivers are a joke as is the tweezer, the spring bar remover looks like a child ground the 'U'-end so it doesn't grab the bar properly. It's much easier to go to a good hardware store and buy some small drill bits and make your own pin tools---just use hardwood dowels for the handles--and buy some good tweezers, screwdrives, and some new smooth pliers, and you'll have a far better set of tools than this junk! 16 PCS Watch Tool Kit

I had actually only ordered the kit for the plastic watch band link remover. I have a Invicta Diver's Watch Model #5017 which closely resembles the Rolex model. I really take my time at doing things slowly and correctly. However, it took me less than ten minutes to push out four link pins with the link removal tool. It is that easy. Simply, line up the top of the pins with the pin remover and carefully turn maybe about three revolutions and instantly it comes out. Note that this Invicta watch had pins with fake screw slots on one side which made me even more careful. However, this proved to be for decorative purposes only since the pins themselves resembled tiny cotter pins which is essentially a piece of wire folded in the middle. I even used the knife case opener on my wife's twenty year old seiko with equal success. Again, this stuff is not Swiss made but in my opinion is a good starter kit which gets the work done correctly. The money I saved can be used for more expensive tools should I decide to choose watch repair as a second career. Also check out the microtools website. You will be amazed with their extensive product line and offerings.

These tools look just like the higher quality tools available from various watch manufactures and retailers, but they are not just like the higher quality tools.

Very cheaply made. Barely usable to size a band.

The micro Phillips screwdriver stripped out on the first attempt to use.

One of the pin punches bent double on the first attempt to use it. Lucky there are three of them.

Don't let the low price fool you, pay the extra $10 for the real professional watch tool set.

The product arrived promptly. Ordered on Sunday was surprised to see it in mailbox on Wednesday. Already opened two watches for battery replacement and shortened two chainlinks. The watch replacement and chain-link fixing is at least five each in our neighborhood. So I think the tool has already paid for itself and saved the trouble to go to the stores. The nearby Meijer store used to replace the battery at no charge but has stopped doing that lately. I do not have any expensive waterproof watches with screwed backs so I have not used that tool. But all the other tools came in very handy.

The tool quality seems fine. No instructions. So I had to figure out. I guess these tools are meant for people who know what they are doing. Learning was not difficult. By the time I reached the third watch, I knew fairly well how to use them. May be I am a slow learner.

I wish the tools had a storage box that came along, but no big deal. Next trip to Dollar Tree should solve that.

The candies were included in my shipment too like an earlier review had mentioned. Kind of reminded me of the old time neighborhood stores. Rather pleasant.

I've read many reviews on this item and as I can understand many people are not as careful or patient when using the "cheap" tools. The pins that break will eventually break after a couple of uses. The pin for the watchband link pin remover bent when trying to remove a pin because I didn't line it up straight. I carefully bent it back and used it 3 more times. It's still working so if you broke it you weren't patient or careful enough. They are delicate items regardless if they are expensive or not. I fixed 7 watches (4 Kenneth Cole, 1 Invicta and 2 Fossil for my wife) all with success and no tools or pins were broken. I changed the length of the metal bands and changed batteries easily and with no problems. The tools I used were the watchband link pin remover, watchband holder, thee spring bar remover, the 3 Pin punches (all different size pins), the metal and plastic hammer and the case knife opener. The other tools are just extras for an "as needed" basis. So for this price it's definitely worth the money. If you're impatient, careless and really don't know what you're doing then don't purchase this item. Pay for a watchmen ($6 minimum) to do the job for you......so then you can then complain about the amount you're paying for one watch to be serviced. - Watch Repair Kit - Watch Tools - Watch Case Opener - Watch Band Remover'

Ipod Nano 5th Generation - ipod charger, ipod car kit

First, let me say that this item works mostly as advertised. It hooks up fine with my ipod 5th generation and plays over the FM radio without much static as long as I choose an unused station. It also remains in place fairly well in the lighter socket.

My big problems with this product are:

1) Each time you turn off the car and turn it back on, you have to reset the transmitting frequency (station) on the unit. It resets to 88.1 every time power is removed.

2) Each time you turn off the car you have to also turn off (or pause) the ipod or else the ipod will keep playing. Likewise, each time you turn on the car, you have to press play on the ipod to start playing.

In my other car I have an old product (no longer available) that has neither of these problems. I don't need to touch it when turning off or on the car and it continues right where it left off. Black Apple Ipod 5-in-1 Car Charger + Fm Transmitter / Holder Full Range Freq...

Overall this is a fantastic product at a great price and it works beautifully! I bought it to be able to play my MP3s from my Motorola Droid through my vehicle's stereo and it works great for it.....the sound and signal quality from the FM transmitter impressed me - to be quite honest, I figured (at the low price) that it would end up sounding like crap but I was amazed that it works REALLY well. Only two problems I have with it....one is REALLY minor.

1) The mini-jack cord supplied with it to connect your non-iPhone items to it is a bit cheap. Mind you, it works well but I would suggest buying a better quality cord online or at your local Radio Shack (or The Shack as they seem to be called now). It's a minor thing and may only be of any importance to me....lol

2) For any Droid users who are thinking the same thing for this that I did........The FM transmitter seems to interfere with the cell phone signal. I don't know how or why, and it doesn't really make any sense to me, since cell frequencies are considerably higher than FM, but when I put the Droid in the holder it loses it's 3G signal, and most of it's signal PERIOD! If I take it out of the holder it comes back and it will sporadically come back as you drive - I'm assuming when you hit a stronger signal area. I've repeated this over and over again, in different geological locations, with the results always being the same. I don't understand it, but it does it. In a urban area I doubt if it would be an issue, with the signal strength being so high in all areas of a city mostly. But in a rural area, like I currently reside, it does seem to represent a problem.....although I haven't had the opportunity to test that theory as of yet.

If not for the second problem, I would have given the item a five-star rating as it is a great product for an incredible price. If you are going to use it for an iPod (possibly even an iPhone) then it would be a WONDERFUL deal - it comes with an iPod remote as well, which I don't think it mentions in the product description. If you are buying for a Droid, or possibly other phone, then be aware of where you might have issue.

BTW, make sure that you keep whatever you use this for at about half volume and use your stereo for volume control......makes it sound MUCH better!

Thanks for reading my review and I hope it was helpful to you.

I bought this device after my older Belkin model was stolen (with iPod) out of my car! Just after buying it, I moved across the country and if it weren't for this transmitter, the trip would have been a heck of a lot longer! It was great and never gave us any trouble at all. I have a newer nano and I had read that some people were having trouble with the nano staying in the device. I had bought a clear, thin case for my nano and this works like a charm for the holder. No problems, what-so-ever. Plus, once you want to take the iPod inside, you've already got the protective case on it! I would certainly recommend this to everybody!

This is a pretty decent item. It holds and charges my 160GB iPod classic without any problems. It comes with a remote control which surprisingly works very well as long as it is pointed in a right direction which is the blue light located on the bottom of the charger. Do NOT point remote to the iPod itself.

I don't use it as a transmitter, but rather use it as an iPod charger in my car. But I did try it as a transmitter and it worked fine with the limitations of radio frequencies, i.e. the sound was ok as far as radio trasmition goes. Of course, the car adapter cassette delivers much better quality sound.

There is a 3.5 audio jack which is an audio input. It takes precedence over the sound which comes through the iPod dock charger. If an audio cable is not plugged, the sound that comes through the iPod dock charger is transmitted. Once an audio cable is plugged to this device, whatever comes in through the audio cable is transmitted disregarding what comes in from the dock charger.

In addition there is a USB plug which can be used to charge other devices that can be charged with USB cables. I haven't tried it yet.

Why did I give 4 stars instead of 5? Because:

1. It comes with very poor and unclear manual.

2. It doesn't have manufacturer contact information.

Headphones - headphones, audio technica

Uncomfortable = ridge at the top of headphones (where it bends) becomes distracting and painful after short period of time.

Headphones doesn't cover entire ear, somewhat "housing" ears; it lays on top of your ears, causing them to hurt after long usage.

Sound quality = great. Sony MDRNC7/WHI Noise Canceling on-ear headphones (White)

These headphones are AWESOME for the price, but since there only 40$ there are going to be a few flaws. the sound is excellent however the physical construction is weak. 1- the battery door is pretty loose, 2- the head piece seems very fragile.

I had the older NC6 headphones until the ear pads eventually wore off. That was a great set of headphones. Not nearly as impressed with the new set. Folding and unfolding is a bit cumbersome. Sometimes feels like I'm going to break them.

Biggest issue is feedback when noise canceling is on. Maybe it's because I'm using it with my iPhone, but when I have them plugged in to my iPhone, I get noise feedback intermittently. If I turn off noise canceling, the noise goes away, but then what's the point of having noise canceling headphones if you can't use them?

Assuming that the feedback is related to my iPhone, I wouldn't recommend these headphones to anyone that intends on using them with one.

Finally, audio quality is just ok. Again, I thought my older NC5 headphones sounded better. It just seem like these are a step down in terms of quality than the ones that they replaced.

****************

Update 7/30/2009 - I know what the issue with the feedback is. It's cell phone interference. When I'm on the bus, if someone's cell phone rings, i hear feedback in the headphones with the noise canceling turned on. Don't know if it's a problem with shielding or not, but it's a big issue for me because on a crowded bus, there are always people receiving calls. Very distracting.

****************

Sony MDRNC7/WHI Noise Canceling on-ear headphones (White)These are very good and comfortable for me to use. I have used it on my IPOD while gardening and sometimes before sleeping.

For the price, they are outstanding, and I would recommend them for anyone who wants something that's noise canceling and affordable.

I predominantly use these when I am ridding the mower for my one acre lawn and I find them to be great. Not only does it significantly reduce the noise of the lawn mower, it also allows me to listen to my music without having to blast the music. Great buy and well worth it.

For a relatively inexpensive set, audio performance is better than was expected. I experienced some ear discomfort after extended use. Noise cancellation is not complete in that a TV in the same room could still be heard. With the music volume up, however, the TV was not too intrusive. I do not know if this test is too harsh if they are intended more to reject background hums and drones as in an airplane.

The people that whine about these headphones are ridiculous, the construction of them is amazing, they fold up very nicely into a pouch that comes with the headphones (if you buy them new). The cancellation is very good considering these things only cost $30!!!!!!

Sound quality is outstanding and the cancellation isn't brilliant but it definitely cancels out most direct noise around you. I bought these for traveling and for my office, I work in radio and have used thousands of headphones all good and bad. But these were nice cheap buy that I was going to use for my home and ended up bringing them into the office with me.

People who hate on these headphones are ridiculous. I don't understand how the flat surface pillow like material that cover your ears could possibly ever hurt. If anything they are too comfortable.

They're certainly not Bose, they're $30 Sony Headphones and are a fantastic buy considering the price. And very good value for your buy, a Sony quality product with cancellation technology.

Great cost performance.

Since it does not cost $100~$300, it is easier to carry around and handle.

I tried in the airplane. It will not give you a silent condition as high end product will.

But gave me a comfortable flight. Especially when I was watching the on flight movies. - Audio Technica - Headset - Earphones - Headphones'

Silicon Bra Inserts - enhancers, bra insert

Got these a few weeks ago and I'm loving them! For me, they work just as needed. I got them to line my favorite sports bras (the Ibex merino wool sports bras) which I use for the gym and for road cycling and which I love for their comfort, fit, shape and performance but which don't provide enough coverage, especially under cycling jerseys, as they are unpadded. The *headlights* were showing through bigtime, even with Petal Tops, and I was very self-conscious about it as I ride with a lot of geeky Bike Guys who all, no matter their chronological age, seem very very good at channeling their inner 14-year olds. I didn't want to give up my Ibex bras but when I constantly felt like I could see a comic-book bubble over their heads that read "BOOBS!" I knew I had to try SOMETHING...and so I found these.

I like that the Smartcups are thin so they don't pad my bra too much--a tiny bit, maybe, but they pretty much conform to my natural shape and don't make my bras bulky or make me look like I have more than I actually do. I like that they are available in a nude & black combo as I use them with both light and dark bras. I like their ease of use and the fact that they don't slip at all, move around, or stick out of my bras even when exercising pretty hard. I also like the fact that because they are thin, they are pretty breathable--even when sweating a lot I still remain comfortable wearing these and they don't interfere with the moisture-wicking properties of my sports bras. The only downside is that sometimes I still do need to use petal tops in addition in order to fully conceal--I don't think it's the fault of the Smartcups, though; I tend to be showy, especially on one side...sometimes its fine and well-concealed, sometimes I need petal tops under the Smartcups to make both headlights equally dim. But again, can't blame or fault the product for the extra coverage I need on one side. The only real issue I have with these Smartcups is their sizing: I am a smallish-but-not-tiny B cup, bought the B/C cup size and these JUST fit me. Perfect for my needs, but I could see them being on the small side for a C cup woman. They seem to me to be more in the A/B cup range than the B/C range. So C cups might want to read other C cup feedback...I think others also found that these tend to fit the smaller of the ranges better than the bigger. But if you find your fit, these really do provide great coverage for unpadded sports bras, and the relief you get from no longer having to worry about how much is showing through your shirt makes these well worth the price! SMARTCUPS by Lipo in a Box (2 sets Nude) B/C

I bought these for extra padding in my sports bra, they work fine. i have also washed them in the washer inside a delicates bag, they came out fine and stayed in shape.

overall a good purchase, but I'd like for them to make true to size, b/c if you're the larger of the cup size that you ordered, it feels smaller.

I am so glad I ordered smart cups, because I am constantly worried about my "headlights" showing. They really work, stay in place, and are washable and reusable. The best thing about them is they completely camouflage me when I'm wearing a bra so that there aren't two pointy spots in the chest area.

A friend recommended these to wear under light weight summer shirts.

I tried them and love them, no more embarrassing moments or being

self conscious about what you are wearing. They are so light weight you

don't know you have them on. Fits all sizes.

When I was nursing my infant, I had a hard time wearing just about any shirt and getting smooth fit without bumps. These inserts worked great under thin but comfortable nursing bras. I didn't have any trouble with them staying in place. I usually wear a C cup, but I got a D size and they were perfect. Product does exactly what it is designed for. I think it looked better than many of the foam padded bras I have. Definitely covered things up smoothly without adding much bulk.

In general, I am pretty pleased with these cups. They are pretty much what I expected, so that was good. I just didn't know that I would need thicker padding for "hiding my issues." That isn't the cups' fault though. I usually have to double them up, so I'm glad they came 4 in a box. The color and shape is fine. I ordered a D/DD but they don't cover everything. You can't tell though, so it's okay. They don't move around too much, unless I am picking my kids up and putting them down a lot. Otherwise they stay put.

I think the value was pretty good for what I got, I just wish they were a little thicker and a little larger. Otherwise, just what I wanted.

I bought these last week, am sending them back. The color (nude)is perfect, the fabric is nice, but the thing it's supposed to do, it doesn't. It's too thin, and even when I doubled them up, you could STILL see nipples. Annoying.

I bought these to cover my tiny headlights that shine at work, the environment is so cold. I am a 40DD, covers all fine. I am glad I chose these, and I gladly recommand them.

Playstation 3 - headset, xbox 360

When i started to shop around for a gaming headset, i mostly heard about two main brands: Turtle Beach and Triton. Many people say that you can't go wrong with either. But, while shopping around, I came across Sharkoon. There really isn't much online in regards to this headset, so i figured i would check out their higher-end headset. (The X-Tatic 5.1 with surround sound) This headset received fantastic reviews across the boards. I figured if the company made quality headsets, i would check out the x-tatic sp...even without any reviews online. And i am not disappointed.

What made me reluctant to go with the Turtle Beach PX21 headset is how it looked. It was not very sexy. The Triton AX-180 looked nice, but it was $80. Since the x-tatic sp was $10 cheaper, i figured i would check them out. Not only is the sound excellent and crisp, but the headset is extremely comfortable and is continuously comfortable for long periods of time (which is important for a gaming headset). My brother has the Triton AXPROs and he loved this headset. (for those of you who don't know, the AXPROs have surround sound and are the top of the line Tritons) Why spend more than double the money to get surround sound when you can get a great sounding headset at this price range? And, for those of you who doubt the price of a stereo gaming headset, it is totally worth the price. I have never used one before while gaming...and it makes a total difference. People aren't lying when they say they hear things they didn't hear before. Its true! When you run by trees/brush you hear the rustle as you run by. You hear footsteps. Gun fire and other sounds help you locate where the shots are being fired so you can find the enemy. Even without a 5.1 surround sound headset (which really only refers to the amount of speakers in the ear cup to produce that surround sound feeling) you hear the sounds as if you were in the middle of the action. Shooting games just feel like they were made to be played with a headset like this.

So, if you are in the market for a stereo gaming headset, i can't knock the Turtle Beachs or Tritons, but i can definitely say that these would not disappoint. Great sound quality and comfortability...all you need in a gaming headset! Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Gaming Headset

I really dig using my expensive and well thought out home theater system to play Battlefield on w/ my PS3. But, my wife doesn't dig it quite as much especially when I have a bit more free time and go on a marathon session. I bought this headset after reading the reviews and figured if I didn't like them, I'd just send them back. I have to say that I'd never really heard of Sharkoon but I'm really impressed with these headphones. I doubt that you get any added benefits out of a "5.1 or 7.1" headphone set, so save your money. A true 5.1 or 7.1 system relies on placement of the speakers and it's impossible to place 5.1 or 7.1 speakers correctly inside a pair of headphones.

More to the fact, these things sound really, really good. They have a good amount of low end for my Battlefield action. The highs are crisp too. And the wife can't complain too much when I'm gaming in silence. These thing can go really loud so be careful. They seem to be really well made and should last quite awhile. The snap in microphone works well as well.

Couple notes- if you like to play further away from your console, invest a couple dollars into a USB extension cable. The usb port provides the power and also is for the microphone as well. The included USB cable is pretty long but, I like to sit further back. Also with the PS3 make sure you have your original video/audio output cable. This is what the headphones hook into for the sound. Other than that you're good to go. The headset has 2 volume controls - for the headphones and mic respectively as well as a mute switch for the Mic. If you are going to be using these off and on and still want to use your A/V receiver also make sure you select the "mutiple audio output" selection in the PS3 settings panel. This will allow you to switch between your headset and A/V receiver/ TV without having to constantly make any changes in the settings.

Bought these for my son to use on Xbox 360.

These babies rock, excellent sound quality from highs to bassie lows.

Compared prices on other headsets and thought I would take a gamble on Sharkoons.

Not disappointed what so ever.

Thinking about ordering another set for myself to use on my pc. Whats nice is these will work for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or easily connect to Pc or laptop.

Excellent value and excellent product.

First off I did extensive searching in a quest for a good gaming headset for the ps3. The sharkoon is an excellent gaming headset with easy installation for the ps3. The cord is long and thick, which is very good however it can tend to get a little heavy if you have to get up to move something. Comfort level is very good on the ears but your ears will definitely get a little warm after a while. Sound quality is very good the mids and highs come through very clean. The bass isnt the best in the world but Im also comparing it to my yamaha surround sound system also. I purchased the set to give my son and wife a break from the "booms" of my call of duty games. You cant go wrong with this heaset for the price and is a good alternative to any turtle beach or tritton headset. - Headset - Playstation 3 - Gaming Headphones - Xbox 360'
