Time Crisis 4 - playstation move, playstation 3

First my disappointment:

1) Time Crisis 4 on 2 players mode simulates a real arcade machine. Each player gets their own tiny screen within your tv screen. I have a 58" TV and could barely see my screen on two player mode because it was so small.

My husband and I play this with the Dual Shot Pistol Pack that comes with the blue and red pistol for $30. Neither one of us had any trouble using the gun attachment to play any of the three games. No, you cannot just hold the gun out with one hand (except for in Deadstorm Pirates), but using both hands isn't a problem. In Razing Storm and Time Crisis 4, you simply press any button on the top of the controller to take cover (which also reloads). Because you don't have to press any one specific button, we found it very easy. If you hold the gun with one hand on the trigger and the other on the side (much like cops do in tv shows), you can easily play it comfortably. We played it for 3 hours straight and didn't have any trouble at all.

The calibration is much more accurate than it was in the demo. In the demo you only shot 3 targets to calibrate the gun and we couldn't ever get ours straight. The full version has a 5 target calibration system, which made the aiming dead on.

Other than that, I can say that I really enjoyed the game. Razing Storm is incredibly short. My husband and I beat it the first time we played it and it only took a maximum of 30 minutes.

Deadstorm Pirates was a lot of fun because you do not have to worry about reloading or taking cover. I must say that it is my favorite of all three games. Deadstorm Pirates only requires you to use the trigger to shoot, so it works perfectly with gun accessories.

I just wanted to write this for those who were wondering how well the gun accessories would work with this. I couldn't imagine playing them without the gun accessories and found it just as entertaining as I would have in an arcade. Time Crisis: Razing Storm

Each player can select motion controller, navigation/dualshock controller, or guncon to play with, however a player cannot use two controllers simultaneously. This makes gun attachments useless and it makes the move experience much worse. Using a gun attachment feels actually more unnatural than without it. This is not the fault of gun attachment designs, but the game's controller setting.

I have to use my other hand to press the reload button and this prevents me from using iron sights. I'd like to use the navigation controller trigger for reload/cover and use the motion trigger to shoot. Why was this not considered in the game's design?

Time Crisis: Razing Storm Review. Excitement with a dash of disappointment.

Just picked up the game and was able to experience the retail release.

The Good

The game is fast paced, exciting and thrilling. They repaired the elementary move calibration from the demo. Instead of two targets to shoot you get five making the onscreen target much more accurate in relation to where you aim. The death animations and destructible environments make this game a thrill to get into. Unlike "The Shoot" these guys are not wooden cutouts but reactive characters. The graphics look good and the game play is responsive and fun. This is the most important aspect of any game so I am going to forgive the major flaw it has.

The Bad

The navigation controller is only available for use on the Razing Storm story mode. This is a problem because on the arcade mode and the other two Namco shooters you have no option to use another controller as an "action/reload" button. This was a feature in previous games and is lost in this one. I contacted Namco's online chat support and they confirmed this.

This problem makes playing with the MOVE Precision Shot 3 I own more trouble than it is worth in my opinion. Holding a handgun with two hands takes away from the illusion of shooting an army of bad guys with a hand gun. How could they miss this, it would have been a perfect fit. As it is right now the game sees the navigation controller as a second player. : (

It would have been amazingly cool if I could duck behind the couch to activate the shield. Seems crazy I know, but with the Playstation Eye it seems very possible and another lost opertunity. At this point though I would be happy with just the nav control support.

Fun Game 8/10.

It's $50 and packs 3 games. After playing with it for a night, I can see why. These games are very short, especially the featured title Razing Storm. There is no way they can charge $50 based on the featured title alone. I'm comparing the length to the likes of Virtua Cop series and House of the Dead series. These games are shorter than those. That said, all games included are quite fun, especially Razing Storm and Deadstorm Pirates. Only Time Crisis 4 feels a bit outdated. If you have Move and are remotely interested in arcade rail shooters, do not hesitate to get it as it's worth the price of admission.

I finally received my PlayStation Move last night, already had the navigation controller and Sony shooting attachment. Put in Time Crisis and calibrated everything with no problems. Started to play and to my immediate dismay, I found out that the navigation controller doesn't work to reload the gun!!!! Instead, you have to push the x button on the PlayStation move. This really slows you down and is extremely aggravating, it would of been so much better to be able to reload with your left hand. I guess they designed the game to be played without the shooting attachment, what a shame. I have to say this is the first time I enjoyed playing a FPS, I hope future titles work with the navigation controller to reload, change guns, and move around.

This game, equipped with the Playstation Move made for quite an accurate shooting game. I played this game with my nephew, who is only 8 years old, but it was easy to comprehend and simple to play.

The best thing about this game is the skill level is adjustable, making it easy for younger folks to learn this game, that is, assuming you permit young adults and pre-teen adolescents to play shooting games.

This game could be improved upon if it came with a move control holder that is in the shape of a gun. After about an hour of game play, holding the move controller does make for an awkward position thats not very natural by any means. I've ordered a precision shot controller shell to replicate a gun, similar to the arcade. I think this will most definitely make the game more enjoyable, or at the least, won't leave you with any aches in your wrist after playing for more than an hour. - Playstation Move - Playstation 3 - Shooter - Shooting'

Digital Photography - photo frame, digital frame

I wanted a simple, clean looking photo frame for my home office and this fit the purpose really well. The frame came very quickly after ordering and was very well packaged for shipping. The frame is well made and the glossy front side gives it an expensive look. The picture quality is good - nice color, bright screen, and no flickering. The resolution is average for a 7-inch photo frame, which is to say that photographs look fine when viewed normally, but not a lot of detail if you get in close and look at it from say 6 inches away.

In all a very satisfying purchase: good quality, beautiful design, the price is right, and performance is at least as good or above normal expectations. Micca M701 7-Inch Digital Photo Frame (Black)

We recently bought it as a gift for our friends. The displayed pictures look nice and the photo frame, overall, is okay for the price. Our only disappointment is that the product we received does not have a built-in memory for 15 photos, as indicated in the Features and Specifications. We sent an email to Micca Customer Support and they were fast to respond. We were informed that "the current M701 no longer has the built-in slots for 15 pictures" and that they need to update the product description. They also offered to reimburse us if we return the product; however, we have already given it to our friends. Again, overall, the photo frame is okay but potential buyers should know about this missing feature. The product description needs to be updated asap!

Shipped promptly, arrived in good condition. Its an attractive little picture frame with good quality picture. Didn't find the instructions very helpful but managed to figure out enough to make it work. I bought the same frame with MP3 last year for my house so this year in order to save money I just got the simple one for my office. It looks great!

Picked this up as an gift for the grandparents. Didn't want to spend a ton and I guess I got what I paid for in that respect. It works and I shouldn't complain having gone for the bargain rather than features, but I'm pretty disappointed in the resolution. I guess in the age of iPads and laptops everywhere, I figured the LCD resolution bit would have trickled down to this.

Also, in my quick installation of photos, I didn't seem to find any on-board memory or storage capacity though I could have sworn that I read that it at least had some (15 fav pics?). Had to donate a USB flash drive to the cause, though it does take SD cards as well...just didn't have one lying around.

All in all, there are probably better models to buy and if I were to do it again, I'd drop the coin for a nicer one.

Edit: About a week after I bought this product (2 weeks before xmas), I found the Viewsonic VFD823-50 Digital Photo Frame - 8-inches, 4:3 Ratio, Slideshows for sale from another vendor. For a $10 LESS than what I paid for this product (granted, it was a sale, but not it was only $10 off normal), I got the ViewSonic, free shipping AND bought a 2GB SD card for it. The ViewSonic is vastly superior in every way. I feel sheepish for having not done my research, but am lowering this product from 3 to 2 stars for now knowing what I didn't know before. Avoid this one and look harder for better products.

This digital frame is easy to work with and looks fine. The most lengthy part of the project was choosing and loading 328 photos onto a card, but once you pop the card in, you can just sit back and watch the slide show. We bought two as gifts, but we like them so much now we want one for ourselves!

Bought this attractive frame for those hard-to-buy-for elderly parents who don't really seem to need or want anything. Loaded a jump drive with family pictures, stuck the drive in to the frame and sent it to the parents in Florida. All the parents had to do was plug in the frame and, voila, they had an instant slide show! Great way to give a personalized gift.

I purchased this frame for my parents. I needed a frame that was easy to use and didn't have a bunch of options. This frame fit the bill nicely. It doesn't have any memory in the frame, but that was not an issue for me as I find it much easier to load pictures onto a very inexpensive SD card rather than connecting the frame to my laptop. Once on the card, simply pop it into the frame and you're good to go. My parents love the changing pictures, ease of use, and nice looking frame. I saw some complaints about resolution, but for this purpose, I feel the frame fits the bill perfectly. My only complaint is that there isn't an on/off switch.

My husband had me order this for him. We had looked in town at them, various sizes, prices and features. He isn't big on a lot of confusing features, so when we saw this one, read the reviews and liked the price, he had me order it.

The package arrived in super fast timing, which surprised us both. He borrowed my camera card and had pictures viewing in no time. I will say that the 'instructions' that come with it are a little weak in completely explaining things, but it's easy enough to figure out.

One feature (if it's there we haven't discovered it yet) that he was hoping for was being able to control the amount of time for the pictures to be viewed. It seems to flip through them at a pleasing clip, but sometimes you'd like them viewed just a bit longer, and not just putting on the one picture hold feature. Otherwise, he seems to be happy with his purchase, and now that I've gotten to play with his, I'm thinking about one of my own in the near future. - Photo Frame - Digital Frame - Digital Frames - Digital Picture Frame'

Mother Daughter - mother daughter poem, gifts for mom

I ordered this product for my mom for mothers day because I thought it really said how I felt. When I ordered it I planned on putting it into a frame. However, when received it, I was not expecting it to be the way it was. The entire thing was 3 pieces of cardboard glued together, thus making it very thick to put into a frame. I guess it was made this way so you don't have to frame it, but I wanted to frame it. So I struggled with a frame and eventually got it to lock in but just beware.

If you intend on putting this in a frame, buy a thick frame.

Otherwise the quality is very good and it came out very nice. "Mom" A Sentimental Birthday Gift For A Mother. Touching 8x10 Poem, Double-matted In Burgundy/Dark Green And Enhanced With Watercolor Graphics. - Mother Daughter Poem - Mother Daughter - Mothers Day - Gifts For Mom'

Vga To Hdmi

I bought a new laptop a month ago (cheap), but it did not include an HDMI port, only a typical VGA one. With March Madness coming up, plus NCAA football/basketball on ESPN360, I wanted to cancel these packages on DirecTV and be able to play the online content through my lone remaining spare HDMI input on my 47" LCD. Also, my laptop's maximum resolution is only 1366x768, so I could only imagine how screwed up it would look if I did use typical VGA converters/scalers. Most VGA-to-HDMI solutions I saw were well over $200, not necessarily small in form factor, and required a large AC adapter. All "forget about its" for me. And buying an Asus or other streaming device for my living room was not an option. I wanted something simple to occasionally augment the usefulness of my laptop and save me some money at DirecTV.

Enter the newly-released Atlona AT-HDVIEW. It comes with the unit with attached VGA, audio, and USB cables, along with a 6' HDMI cable. I hooked all the cables into their respective ports--audio and VGA on the laptop, HDMI on the TV--and then plugged in the USB cable into a port on the laptop. The device adjusted the laptop screen resoltuion automatically and then (most importantly), scaled it to 1080p resolution on my TV, as indicated in green text in the upper right corner of the screen a few seconds after I hooked everything together.

I've watched YouTube, ESPN360, plus other streaming content, and everything looks great. Naturally, the quality you see will depend a lot on the quality of the source video, but live-action streaming content is very good. The key to the value of this device (which I got for $85 from Tigerdirect with 15% Bing Cashback) is the scaler unit, size, and portability. Scaling works very well, and there are no large AC power bricks to lug around.

For $85 to $110, this is very useful device at a great value. Atlona AT-HDVIEW VGA to HDMI Scaler/Converter (USB Powered)

As most other reviewers were basically happy, I bought one myself. I wanted to run the PC, Blu-Ray and standard DVD over a single HDMI cable, plus this adapter integrates audio too.

Unfortunately, I have an old graphics card Nvidia TI, on the PC in question (the surf the net from the lazy boy machine) and the timings are apparently a little whacked out for this device. After playing with it for two days, I decided to use a DVI to HDMI cable for the PC instead. Unfortunately, this leaves the audio in limbo.

Now, the converter would work in manual mode 1080p; however, it was not completely stable, and would often give me an 'input not supported', when the input was obviously a listed as OK video mode (confirmed by logging in with VNC from another PC).

Atlona's web site was totally worthless in any type of technical or troubleshooting documentation or advice.

My advice is if your PC is fairly modern, go for it, otherwise, you might have issues like I had.

This is a perfect device for my laptop and my business trips. The only complaint I have is that it cuts off a border of the picture, but I might just have to call the company and find out if there is a setting for it.

The product arrived very quickly and just in time to set up my PC as a way to have a home entertainment center upgraded to include HD quality viewing of internet content. Looking at the previous reviews from other customers, there's a few that gave negative marks due to not finding the right setting or seeing a picture that was chopped, etc.. I first opened the package and hooked it up to a desktop PC with Windows vista OS. I've kept up with all the updates from Microsoft and have great virus protection so the PC runs well even though in PC years its 'old' (I've had this same desktop for 2.5 years) Assuming I would be able to get picture right away, I was worried at first since no picture came up and the "no support" message showed on the tv. I have an XBR6 Sony 40 inch with motion flow and 120HZ..yadayada..a great HDTV!! Long story short, I switched the setting on the device for manual which enables you to push a button and scroll through the different resolution settings to "pair" up the device to what your PC has a resolution and as designed upscale it to the HDTV. I had to change the "display settings" on my PC and push the button on the device to find the right 'output' that showed the screen. Eventually (10 minutes) of using various settings on the PC and pushing the "manual timing" button, I used 1024x768 input to 1366x768.

Great product but for those without the patience to find the right settings, could be cumbersome. Works as advertised for me!!

On receiving the Atlona, I plugged it into my laptop and into the HDMI port on my TV, allowing it to select input and output resolutions automatically. The result was OK, but not perfect. The image on the TV chopped off some of what appeared on my laptop screen. I'm not sure if this is "overscan" or "underscan", but I wanted it to look better. I switched to manual modes on the Atlona and discovered that all the input resolutions it claimed to support were not actually supported. Regardless, simply switching the input resolution did not fix the over/under scan problem anyway. The user manual contains a cryptic reference to fixing this by changing the TV's settings but it didn't offer any specific guidance, only noting that "all TVs are different". After fiddling with the TV (a Sharp Aquos 52 inch LCD) and studying the manual for awhile, I discovered that when an input is configured for a PC, you have the option of displaying the video "bit by bit". When I chose that option, the result was perfect, and it actually supported a sufficiently high resolution to get a good quality picture. I was able to stream episodes of "The Event" I forgot to record on my DVR onto my TV with good results.

I'm happy with the unit.'

Universal Power Adapter - universal power adapter, universal adapter

This is all you need for any one device to the extent that it is rated for universal voltage of 100-240V AC.

Most existing laptops and other electronics are this way these days but some older devices may come with a 110/240V switch so make sure that you check before you plug your device into the foreign outlet, especially if you do it into the outlet of 'higher' voltage.

On this adapter's features:

- Works as a plug converter on both sides, meaning that you can plug in either a US, Euro or South American device on one end and the outlet you plug it into can be either of the above.

- Supports both 2-prong and 3-prong US plugs.

- It is NOT a voltage converter. If your device is not rated for 240V chances are it WILL be destroyed so be careful.

- Amazingly, for the price, it even offers some surge protection. Universal World Wide Travel Charger Adapter Plug, White

I purchased this converter to use with my laptop and cell phone / video camera charging. The converter itself is easy to use. It worked very well in Hong Kong because they use British style plugs. China uses the Australian type plugs. When using these plugs there is no third plug. Some circuits at upscale hotels will only work if 3 prongs are used, not just 2. When two prongs are used either in the Australian plug or the European plug, the connection is very flimsy and falls out of the socket easily. I did not have to use this much in China as the hotel I was staying at (a Mariott hotel) had several options on the wall plate that allowed me to use American plugs.

Regaring power transformers: Most of Asia uses 220 - 240 Volt circuits. If all you are using are laptops and cell phone / camera charging cords, most of those will tolerate up to 240 volts. Just check the sqaure/rectangular box attached to the cord to see how much voltage it will take. If you are using hair dryer / curling iron / electric razor / etc., you will need a power transformer as these appliances typically will not take voltage over 110 (used in America for most things).

I have had many an adapter. This is my first all-in-one. It performed flawlessly in the UK and Portugal, and should work everywhere. The great thing about it is that it also has reverse compatibility so that for example, a house guest from Europe could use this in your house in the US. Brilliant device!

I've noticed that most if not all of the other reviewers were commenting on their use in Europe. I thought I should add a review, commenting on my experience with this product, which I am using in Japan. Perhaps for European countries, 5 stars is appropriate-I can't comment on that part since I've never tried it there. But I will comment on the usage of it in Japan.

The basic problem I have which keeps it from five stars is that it will plug into a socket, but only barely. It kind of hangs loose from the socket which can make it difficult for the device to work properly. Once you get it to the right position, though, it will stay there. Essentially, at that point, you only need to not bump it in order for it to stay properly. For me, 9 times out of 10 of the device plugging in properly and working without additional effort is enough for me, but always having it loose is kind of worrisome for some people, I am sure. Finally, because the plug is apparently the same as in other countries, this review would in essence apply to usage in the US, Australia and Thailand.

Of course, if you are to use it elsewhere, this plug will likely do the trick. Therefore, and especially because of its price, I can still recommend this travel plug adapter. Since this is pretty much my only option for changing a 3 prong plug to a 2 prong plug (they don't have it in most of Japan), I am very grateful to have bought it.

I purchased the adapter to use on a trip to the UK with my cell phone, laptop, and camera battery chargers and a travel hair straightener - all dual voltage and so not requiring voltage converters, but only plug adapters. This plug adapter would not provide power to any of the four items, however. I had brought 3 other plug adapters with me, and tested each item with other adapters and they all worked, so I know it was a problem with this adapter. I am unsure whether the adapter is completely defective, or only the UK plug of the adapter. It would have been a major problem had I been relying on this adapter without bringing other ones. I was very surprised since the item had 7 positive reviews, so perhaps this was only an isolated incident; still, I would encourage you not to rely only on this adapter and to bring a back-up if you are going to buy it.

Bought this for a trip to Italy and France. I used this in various hotels and on our cruise ship along the Italian coast. Worked every time. As other reviewers noted, you do have to use the "unlock" switch on the top to release the prongs you need. Then, "lock" it to keep that prong extended. Note that when you slide the switch to unlock, you may have more than one type of prong pop out. Just push back the ones you don't need and lock it with the prong you do need. Our only small gripe is that the prong we needed for Italy and France (the two round prongs (2nd from the top in the picture) didn't pop out automatically. We had to unlock the device then pry up those prongs. But, once extended, they locked into place and fit every time. - Travel Converter - Power Plug Adapter - Universal Power Adapter - Universal Adapter'

Adjustable - mouse, ergonomic

If I don't cover one of the coolest features of this mouse first, I'll forget:

- The thumb shelf changes the game. I had no idea how much drag my thumb would provide and how it interfered with the smooth control of my games. The thumb shelf on the R.A.T. 7 is the perfect size to hold my fat thumb and keep it out of the way.

Continuing on - this will be the first mouse to replace my almost-perfect Logitech from 1999. The Logitech was heavy, had a nice, tactile wheel, moved very smoothly and had a responsive, easy-to-clean mouseball. Yeah, no optics for me.

The R.A.T. 7 starts light and is adjustable up to HEAVY. The solid chunk of stamped aluminum that acts as the frame peeks out from all the adjustable nooks and crannies and holds all the assemblies tightly. The feet glide smoother than any other mouse I've used. The adjustable palm rest is perfect, even if you like a shorter grip. The pinkie shelf was a nice addition, too, until I found that it interfered with play. No problem - I can use the stock pinkie assembly, but I took the whole thing off for an even better configuration taht fits my grip.

The DPI is suffficient for noticeably smoother control, and the on-the-fly DPI adjustment button at the thumb is an innovation I never thought I'd use. Until I started rockin' fools with it in MW2.

The best way to think about this mouse is this way: what else do you have for your PC that will last ten years? And grow or shrink to fit your gaming style over that whole decade? Not even your monitor is this adjustable...

Oh, and there's the fabric-wrapped cord and the removable adjustment tool and the horizontal scroll wheel and the tin that comes with the extra thumb and pinkie plates and the container for the weights and the configuration software and... phew! Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Gaming Mouse for PC

After following this mouse on the web and seeing it's weirdness on Youtube and the Cyborg site. I have to say that I'm more than surprised. Ignore what most people are saying about the sensor, I've picked up the mouse a few times and with any mouse it's going to move a little, even with my G9 and crappy 5 dollar everyday usage mouse, re-aim you crappy players who like to complain and blame a mouse! I'm using a big mousepad, the metal one from Cyborg's site with dual side covering, and the dual DPI setting works great. Play tested it with Global Agenda for the past few hours and it feels great. The sniper button is adjustable to how fast or slow you want to make the DPI setting in comparable to your mouse DPI, other words, if your DPI setting for shooting without scope is set to 3000, but when you scope, you can adjust it at 50% (default) so it's down to 1500, then you can adjust more or less depending if you want the sniper mode to be faster or slower based on a percentage to your current DPI setting. So if you go up to 5000, and the sniper mode is set to 50% (default), sniper mode puts it at 2500.

This mouse is a little bit on the heavier side though, even with all the weights taken out, it tips the scale over my G9 even with the weights in the G9 and NOT in the R.A.T. 7. But that's easy to get used to, the funkiness of it's design and ability to form fit the palm rest and thumb buttons, as well as change the ring finger and pinky siding to different grips as well as a rest for casual usage is a great feature. Doubt it's as comfortable as some ergonomic mice with dual form fitted finger rests, but remember, this is a changeable design.

Very few cons with this mouse so far, minor annoyances.

- I wished Cyborg would have gone with covering for the metal frame bottom, yes, it's sturdy and easily usable as a flail, but the corners of the metal get on my nerves for fear I may scratch my mousepad, which is FROM Cyborg also, lol. Also the mouse's feet could have a little more surface to them.

- The mouse DPI setting button (located in below the mouse wheel) feels a little loose, which kind of scared me, I'm wondering if it should be stiffer or is that how it's suppose to be? Not too sure, will have to email Cyborg about it, but it works, it's more of a single button switch than a button. Like a toggle button, that you press and push forward to increase, or press and pull back to decrease DPI setting.

- Another minor annoyance is the thumb buttons swivle ability, if you get way too into a game, I could see the potential for pushing too hard on the thumb buttons and sniper button and possible pushing in the thumb buttons so you'd have to readjust the swivle again.

- Last minor annoyance is the tool placement for the mouse. I like how it's part of the mouse so it's not easily lost. BUT damned if you have small hands or like to support your mouse with only your fingers for really fast paced pick up and move shooting, for the nub of the tool does get annoying to the bottom palm of your hand, at least move the palm rest down one click to avoid this problem. I like 2 clicks down myself, gives a better palm feel for me.

Overall, I'm really shocked. Glad Saitek/Cyborg kept up with producing this mouse the way it came out and don't let the MadCatz label fool you. Ever true gamer knows about MadCatz, but remember, this is a CYBORG, not really a MadCatz, though it has their label. Also they do include a nifty tin case to carry all the extra parts and even a small container for weights you aren't using, though the weight container is somewhat a pain since the weights can get stuck inside. I suggest you toss it out or place a buffer inside the bottom so weights won't get stuck. With as big as the tin case is, you'd think the mouse would fit inside also, which I wish it did! Be a great way to transport a mouse for LAN parties.

If you got the dough to dish out, it's a pretty interesting mouse with a great concept, adjust it to your hand for whatever reason or game you play. Again, this mouse is capable of being used as a flail, so remember not to beat anyone who sneaks behind you while you're trying to shoot someone. - Ergonomic - Mad Catz - Mouse - Cyborg'

Birth Control Pill - birth control, fertility

I have used Lady Comp for about five years now and love it. It is, in my opinion, better than any other form of birth control because you are not adding anything unnatural to your body and you are not trying to trick your body into not getting pregnant. I love this product and highly recommend it. So get over the sticker-shock of the $500 and do your body the favor of a natural birth-control method that won't alter your body's natural rhythms.

In addition, it travels well and has a battery pack for that purpose. I usually put it in my carry-on and have only been asked about it by TSA once. I travel quite a bit and it has not been a problem.

LadyComp has enhanced my life, rather than controlled it like other forms of birth control. It is so easy and safe! Lady-Comp Fertility Monitor - Fahrenheit

My husband and I have used this for four months now and have not gotten pregnant- and we are right at child-bearing age. It really does work and it's so nice not to have to use hormonal methods. I feel much healthier this way. You can buy it new for $500. I bought mine refurbished for $400. But it lasts I think for ten years. So it's really like paying a little more than $3 a month over that ten years. And it's so easy to use. Just set the alarm, take your temperature when the alarm goes off, and it tells you whether it is a red day or green day. You have about nine days each month of red days where you must use a barrier method because you are possibly ovulating.

I use the babycomp version my sister in law gave to me. I never come on website like this and use reviews but I just to because I love this product so much. The babycomp is the same as this, but has added features to assist in conception. I used mine while nursing and it correctly predicted when my period was coming back before I even knew it by my temperature. I don't even set my alarm since I have a 9 month old and she wakes me up sometimes. You can take your temp when you wake up within a few hours of your alarm time. I would highly recommend this product. I am Catholic and am against birth control for myself. I tried the other charting methods but this just seems so much easier to me and it works great!

I love my lady comp!! I have had it for over 2 months now! Please dont think its just a "fertility moniter" as stated in the add. Lady comp is actually one of the best kept secrets out there for Natural Birth COntrol!!! It is proven 99.3% effective against pregnancy in clinical studies. Pass on the Word...More women need to know especially in the United States...so they can get off of that horrible hormonal birth control! I personally think it(the hormonal birth control) can cause cancer and lots of other health problems..!

I am a guy, and I have been researching natural contraceptive methods for a while now, and was highly disapointed with what I found, until I found out about the lady comp.

The lady comp is 99.3% effective, that's about as good as any birth control. I have heard people say, "My parents used the temp. method and had 4 kids."

Let me tell you folks, this is not the temp. method your parents used, this is the natural temp. contraceptive of the 21st century that has gone through, EXTENSIVE testing.

I have been using this with my gf for about 2 years, and we have not had one pregnancy scare.

The only thing is that you have to use protection during the yellow and red days, or refrain from intercourse, but other than that, the green lights are all good.

On her green days, I don't use condoms, and she has not gotten pregnant, so I have put it to the test.

I do admit, that the up front 500 price tag is a bit steep, but you make payments on it. I know people who spend 500 on their i-phone, something that will be obsolete in a year. This is a lifetime purchase, AND you don't have to worry about your women increasing the risks of cysts and ovarian cancer, there are enough women with cancer out there already. If you don't have much money, get the pearly instead, it's about 200 dollars cheaper, and performs the same function. Also, if and when you decide to have a baby, you can use the device to know when your girl is ovulating and have sex then to increase chances of impregnation.

It's not nice to trick mother nature, and that's what birth control does. It's better to work with the natural cycles of your womans body with out putting her health at risk.

I just ordered a lady comp after quite a few emails discussing the different options with the RaX Medical customer service people. They have FANTASTIC customer service. They respond to emails almost immediately with excellent information. If the price here is too high for you i suggest buying directly from Rax- they also offer refurbished units if they are in stock for about half the price of a new one.

advantages of lady comp over the pearly: it has a 10 year battery instead of a 2-3 year (very helpful if you plan to use it for birth control like i do for at least 15+ years), it has an alarm with a lighted control panel to help you take your temperature at the same time each day (although about a 3 hour window is fine), and it provides a forecast of your fertility for about 5 days ahead (just a prediction but it becomes more accurate the longer you use it). from what i have read, you really need 3 months of readings to rely solely on the lady comp esp. if you are coming off the pill. it takes a while for your cycles to reset to normal. i suggest charting for a few months just to get an idea of what the lady comp is doing for you. i would also read toni weschler's "taking charge of your fertility" - Ovulation - Pregnancy - Birth Control - Fertility'
