I have been using ths device for about 3 weeks already, and the following are the pro's and con's I encountered while using this device:



Pros:

-Cheap

-looks good, nice sleek and proffessional design

-nice UI interface

-radio

-battery life (all day non-stop playing and quick charge)

-light and slim



Cons:

- horrible headphones (no ear bud broke within an hour of first using it, the other 3 weeks after), but average sound quality. Recommend buying separate durable ear buds.

- Takes a few seconds too load and shut down, but this is a minor inconvenience.

-Organization, if you are looking for a specific song, you must either know the album, or know the order. Haven't tried other mp3 players before, but it is not that fluid. Feels like you are looking at your songs folder in your computer. (no search function)

-Video ( can only accept a really low quality format (.MTV), which you need a video converter for 99% of all of your video files, which is nearly impossible to find a good one. At the end, it will not be worth it converting.

-Pictures, really low quality, looks like something out of an old cellphone or gif.



Conclusion: If you are looking for a simple, cheap, straight forward mp3 player, I recommend getting this. If you want something extra, look for something else. Coby 1.8 Inch Video MP3 Player with FM, 8 GB Flash Memory MP620-8GBLK (Black)

I bought this to replace my other coby. I like it. Very light wich surprised me and good picture and i just dropped it and it still works which is a plus.



Pros

-easy to read

-easy music transfer

-portable

-sounds awsome especially with skull candies

- puts your music in order and even has album/artist order as well



Cons (nothing big)

- hard to find music when you have alot since you only have a push button but just hold it and it goes by kinda fast

- when you want to search for a new song you have to start from the beginning everytime which sucks but o well

- takes a few seconds to turn on and shut off but aging no biggie



Over all, good player and is well recomended

Sound quality is great. Good battery life. Very light and thin. Has a nice little screen, and rubber backing. Loads of features for [...] bucks (normally retails for [...] - rightly so), and nice 4 gigs of capacity! Obviously it's not an ipod touch, but I'd take this over a classic ipod or ipod shuffle/nano ANY DAY.. I also like that I don't have to feel like I'm handling glass when I use it. I owned an ipod touch, and I was almost afraid to handle it because it felt so delicate. This product actually feels light and durable. Also, it makes for a great flash drive, as well as having excellent reception in the FM tuner.. I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants a good mp3 player at a great price.

This review is meant to be helpful for potential buyers. I aimed to get an MP3 player that would play mp3s and audio books, while I was traveling; I was not making an investment in buying a showy new mobile device. The product first arrived on time. The packaging was great. Tightly sealed and protected. Most importantly the product did what I wanted it to do. The sound quality was decent. I didn't have much of a problem uploading audio tracks onto the device, but then again that might vary depending on one's familiarity with technology. It's fairly easy, taking about 4 steps. Any concerns about not getting what one pays for: this would have to include the radio function. It didn't work very well in doors for me. It's antenna must not be that big. For me that's fine since I don't plan on using it much. I think that the functionality and price match the product. I do not feel as though I was gipped in any way when making this purchase.

I was definitely not up with the times. I finally decided to get an MP3 player. I honestly knew nothing about them. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and make a mistake so I chose this one. For $30, if it didn't work well, it wouldn't be too much of a big deal. To tell you the truth I didn't really have much faith in this player's quality, because it wasn't an expensive brand or an Apple Ipod. I really wasn't expecting much.



When it arrived I have to admit I was excited to get started. I had loads of songs I wanted to hear that I didn't have on cd. I felt like a kid in a candy store. At first, I found a site I could buy MP3's from and tried to get my songs on the device. Since this was my first time uploading songs on an MP3 player I didn't know what I was doing and had lots of trouble. The directions it came with were not very helpful to me because of my ignorance with technological things. Finally after fiddling around for over an hour I finally figured it out. I bet a lot of you are thinking I am a real dummy, lol!



All I can say is I am thrilled!! This little piece of machinery is amazing to say the least. Once you get the knack, it is so easy to download your songs and add them to the playlist. When I saw how easy it was to upload songs from my computer to the device, I felt stupid for not figuring out how to do it sooner.



I bought a mini stereo cable and connected it to the headphone jack and the other end to my stereo's audio jack and I was pleasantly surprised at how loud and clear it sounds with my stereo system. The earbuds it comes with are a little uncomfortable and hurt my ears, so I am using my Sony Walkman's head phones and it is much more comfortable. My husband and 9 year old daughter liked this device so much, they want their own too. I will buy two more and highly recommend this item. It is well made and looks expensive too.

Bought this phone from a local "big box" office supply store after considerable research, etc. to replace a dying Uniden 2.8GHz model. Features, range, sound quality, and so forth are OK. Even the curiously slow dial tone sequencing is tolerable; HOWEVER, cordless "talk time" is ridiculously short (<90 mins cumulative, when kept off the charger base) AND the cordless handset goes dead (i.e. drops the call & the display blanks-out) whenever a GSM mobile phone is nearby and actively sending or receiving. That makes it unacceptable for any serious business/SOHO use. Swapped it for a 2nd new unit within 10 days; it had the same fatal performance flaws. Panasonic's "customer service" lines (for all consumer products, apparently) are routed to a call center in the Philippines. That would be OK if the reps were knowledgeable and empowered to do anything but give polite lip service. They finally offered an "advance replacement" with a refurbished set, but without acknowledging the problems or any assurance the 3rd system would be any different. Declined. Panasonic was once a solid, responsive company; sadly, they aren't anymore. Panasonic DECT 6.0 2-Line Black Corded Cordless Telephone (KX-TG9391T)

This phone is a decent choice for a 2-line cordless phone. The corded base station is a nice plus and sound quality is excellent. Range is pretty good too.



However, for me, the negatives of this phone were a deal-beaker. The phonebook has no speed dial numbers and it takes multiple keystrokes to get into the menu to look up numbers to dial. Likewise, accessing the caller ID log takes multiple keystrokes to see the log. Both should be single key access from the idle mode.



The voicemail indicator is via text on the screen, not the light on the top of the phone so I often missed seeing waiting messages. It also seemed the VM detect was flakey as I often had messages and the phone did not display them.



The ringer sounds and volumes are poor. I use this in a office environment and the softest ringer is quite loud and there is only one normal electronic ring sound (bad design for a 2-line phone!)



Finally the biggest problem of all - the cordless handsets will randomly go "dead". After speaking about this with Panasonic they told me there may be a problem with iPhones or other GSM cellphones interfering with the handsets and making them go dead. They said there were other reports on the internet of this being a problem but had not concluded their study. Since I'm an iPhone user, I guess I won't be a Panasonic phone user.

This product was a breeze to set up and the flexibility of the 2-lines in combination with the clarity of the DECT 6.0 standard makes this the best product in its class. The clarity is excellent. Battery Life is also very strong. The handset is tremendously light (almost cheap-feeling) is the only real downside. Just a minor gripe though. Overall a great phone. I will be getting 2 more receivers for the house.

It's a good phone now that we've resolved a couple of issues, but it was definatley a pain before we figured them out.



First, we were having a problem with the phones mysteriously turning off. Pressing the "off" button would power them back up, but that takes a couple of seconds and the phones won't ring, etc. We finally discovered that this was happening when setting down the phones next to one of our iPhones. Generally, within about 2 seconds, the phone will power down. In at least one case, it wasn't happening. I suspect it may have to do with the frequency of the base tower the iPhone is sync'd up to at the time. I would guess that this issue would happen with most GSM phones. As long as we keep the phones at least a foot from the iPhones, they have no problems.



Also, one of the charging docks, out of 3 of them, was initially only charging intermittently. It turns out that on that particular one, they forgot to solder a couple of the wires in place. A little bit of soldering and that was resolved.

Range, call quality, and general features are very good. I like the shared phone directory and the fact that the caller ID log is system wide. Other phone systems I've owned record calls on each handset and each call log has to be cleared separately. I also like that the system will sync date & time from inbound caller ID data. Answering machine outbound and inbound message quality is also good. All of the system components "play well" with each other.



Bonus points: The handsets use standard Ni-MH rechargeable AAA batteries, available anywhere, as opposed to a proprietary battery pack that costs $20 to replace.



Small nits:



You can't set a separate ring count for each line before going to voice mail. Some other systems let you set the number of rings before the answering machine picks up on each line so that, say, a business line gives you 6 rings while the personal line goes to voice mail after 3 or 4.



You must use the base station to record your outbound answering machine messages. I'd really like to be able to do this from the handsets.



You can't give the handsets a name, they're only referred to (and intercom-dialed) by number. My old AT&T phones gave me a list of names (Office, Den, etc.) when using the intercom feature.



The base station does not have a headset jack.



The base station does not have battery backup. I'd recommend a small UPS to plug the base station into, so that you don't lose phone service during a power outage.



Major goof: The base station and handsets allow phonebook entries to be categorized in groups. The system does not sync the group names along with the phonebook entries, so you have to program the group names on every handset. Even worse, if you do a "copy all" from the base station to the handsets (or vice versa), it puts everything in the first group, deleting all the previous groupings. I have used this 4 in 1 Memory Card Reader on Kingston, Ridata, and Transcend brands of SD cards of various capacities (512 MB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB) with no problems. Since it supports SDHC cards (High Capacity SD cards), it should work fine with SD cards of 16GB & 32GB (the maximum capacity).



Note: This card reader takes only regular SD cards. It will not take miniSD or microSD cards. As of this writing, the product title reads "... Memory Card Reader Writer SD MINISD ..." -- do not be misled! If you need a memory card reader that takes miniSD or microSD cards you can either:



1) Use a memory card adapter

For example, you can use a microSD card to SD card adapter to use your microSD card with this memory card reader. Kingston sells these microSD cards with microSD card to SD card adapters included: (i) 4GB microSD and (ii) 8GB microSD.



OR



2) Get a memory card reader designed for miniSD or microSD cards. Kingston makes one that takes all 3 types of SD cards (see Kingston Mobilelite).





It has a cap on each end; one for the USB connector and the other for the SD card slot. It has a rugged, translucent plastic casing, which feels very durable. It is also lightweight and compact.



The only fault I can find with it is that it doesn't have a lanyard or a place for attaching it to a keychain. In addition, the caps are not hinged and come off completely, so they are easy to lose.



Regardless, it works very well and it is very inexpensive. Definitely recommended! 10 in 1 Mini USB 2.0 Memory Card Reader Writer

I purchased these, with 4 16 GB SD cards. The cards were working perfectly, since I used them in my camera and my computer. As soon as I put the SD cards in these readers, they stopped working. Why? I have no idea. Then the card stopped working with other devices too. I checked all 4 readers and unfortunately they destroyed all my 4 SD cards, none of them readable by any other device.



I contacted seller. They were nice, but didn't accept any responsibility. The only thing they said, was that they will check the readers from now on to be sure something like this will not happen again. They sent me 4 new readers that are working fine, at least for the past few hours.



So, if you buy these readers, before inserting your SD card, check to be sure they are working fine. You can do it by using an old SD card without any info or picture on it. This way, you will not lose any file, but might lose the card itself.

It's insteresting when you buy a product and says it's plug and play and yet when you plug it in it doesn't play. Also said it came with an instruction manual hopefully a driver since it isn't plug and play like it is so indicated on the pakage, and yet it came with neither. I can't complain too much when you pay a dollar for something you get a dollars worth of work out of it. Thanks for the product though guys I now have a blue plastic paper weight or maybe a christmas tree ornament.

I ordered six of these. Four failed outright. . Two successes out of six is good reason to not buy from this vendor. The product cost is too low to mess with contacting their customer service.



If you order more than one ( like I ordered six) you are charged SIX shipping charges even though they ship all six in a single envelope with single 42 cent postage. Thieves !



I have ordered thousands of dollars of camera equipment through AMAZON in 2009. This is the first incident that causes me to be concerned with ordering from AMAZON and one of their allied vendors.



Be WARNED ! I only got nicked for a few dollars this time and it is a lesson learned.i

I bought this because the port on my digital camera wasn't working with its USB cable so I needed an SD card reader to get pictures off my camera. This thing is cute and portable, but it only worked once for me and now won't hold a connection when plugged into my USB hub. Good price but I got less than I paid for.

Received the card reader and tested it. seems to read the an sd card slower than expected. does not allow me to copy a large size file to sdcard, anything over 20 mb's will be denied but the card reader is a good buy for the cost.

My boyfriend bought this for me for Christmas because my new camera required an awkward USB cable and I hated carrying it to and from school or waiting to upload my pictures. It worked fine the first time I used it then after that my computer only recognized it about 1/14 times I tried to plug it in. I have a standard SDHC card, so there is no reason it shouldn't work and it lights up when it is plugged in, but there must not be a good connection somewhere because my computer won't pick up that it is plugged in (and yes I've tried other computers).

High Definition - hd camcorder, sony

Sony MiniDV tape has always worked well in our SD camcorders (Canon and Panasonic) and now that we moved to HD (Canon VIXIA HV40 HD HDV Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom), the Sony "DVC HD MiniDV" tapes are the only ones we plan to use.



The playback quality is just amazing and we have never noticed any errors in our recordings. This is very important to us since we film instructional videos for our family business and need to be sure that the video is perfect every time.



Highly Recommended! Sony 5DVM-63HD MiniDV HD Video Cassette (5 Pack)

just as good as canon and at a fraction of the price! Thus far no complaints. Highly recommended, although as a previous customer noted...thought was purchasing a 5 pack but it came as a 3 pack with the extra tapes put in. No biggy. I would buy it again.

I have never ever had a problem with these tapes in my Canon HV20. I have noticed drop-outs with other bargain brands that I have never seen with the Sony 63-min tapes. Why take a chance with a few dollars difference? Maybe someday I'll try the JVC, Panasonic, or other 'pro' brand tapes, but not right now when it matters.

the tapes came in the mail quickly and was decently priced. My only disappointment was that I thought I was buying a five pack as advertised in the picture and was sent 5 individual HD tapes with Chinese markings making me think this product was made for overseas sales. Otherwise I was satisfied with the product.

I use only sony MiniDV HD tapes in my Canon XH-A1 camera. These are exactly what I use for shooting HDV, quality is perfect. I ordered these on Monday and had them by Thursday using regular shipping. Organizing - scanner, document scanner

I purchased this scanner as a first step in creating an electronic filing system for a home office. As I accumulated 20 filing cabinet drawers of paper documents going paperless seemed to be an answer.



Purchase of the Fujitsu S1500 was based on the numerous 5 star reviews. I am reasonably tech literate and have used the scanner for about 2 weeks. Here are my initial impressions:



Pros -



1. Speed: This scanner seems blazingly fast. Not a resource hog. Will scan duplex 20-25ppm at default settings on Win2K/1.8mhz/1gb platform.



2. Scan quality very good at all settings.



3. Size and looks: Small desk footprint. Looks great open or closed.



4. Excellent paper feeding as long as documents are same size and 20# or greater paper weight.



Cons -



1. NO TWAIN DRIVER. I knew this going in but did not appreciate how much this would cripple the device in day to day use. Let me explain. I had envisioned creating a virtual file cabinet in my computer using Windows Directory/Folder/File system then scanning my paper documents into this system as pdf files. The problem is that the native Fujitsu software does not let you append an existing pdf file!!!



As an example take a file for utility bills. D:/Home Expenses/Utilities/Gas_Electric.pdf. You can easily scan in all prior bills(limited by 50 sheet ADF)and a pdf with one page for each bill will be created. But if you had more than 50 prior bills or when next months bill comes then the next scan you perform to include these new documents will create a new pdf and does not allow the option of appending this more recent scan to the existing pdf. As you can see one could easily end up with 1000s of individual pdf documents in your filing system. The work around is to launch Adobe Acrobat (not reader) and use it to open the old composite pdf and use Acrobat to append the newly created pdf to the prior file. This work around takes longer than scanning in a 30 page document. Twain based scanners easily work with existing windows file structure and allow you to append an existing pdf without invoking Acrobat.



2. Paper catch tray very fragile and ADF paper support does not stay up (also reported by other reviewers).



3. Double feed sensor: stops scan and reports. This is good. However you cannot retrieve the double fed sheet and place it back in proper order because the next sheet is already in the scanner and cannot be backed out. You have to either cancel the scan and start over or put the unread sheet back in out of order and then use Acrobat to rearrange the pages in the resultant pdf document. If you choose to cancel the scan the document that is halfway into the scanner will not be ejected and you need to perform an new scan to retrieve that sheet.



4. A scanning run will only handle one size document at a time. In my experience if you have a mix of paper sizes you will need to do a scanning run for each paper size. Each run will generate a separate pdf file with you will then need to deal with.



5. I paid extra for the scanner bundle with Rack2File software thinking it would help me create the filing system I envisioned. After loading and spending several hours with this software I don't understand how it works or what it is supposed to do. I consider the extra $30 dollars I spent for the "bundled" scanner money poorly spent.



6. Other minor annoyances are:



While the scanner and snapscan software will run on older platforms the bundled software Rack2file and Acrobat require XPpro SP3 or newer. This is not clear from specs.



ADF will hold 40-50 sheets but output tray will start to jam after 20-25 sheets.



Documents printed on less than 20# paper and with printing on both sides the back side printing will show up on the front side scan. Many commercial invoices are printed both sides on thin paper.



Cannot set several default scanning profiles. You need to reset the scanner parameters each time you want a different profile.



Bottom line:



This would be a 5 star low end document scanner if it only offered a twain driver. As it is I can recommend it only to prospective buyers who understand the full implications of this limitation. I thought of returning this scanner and getting one of the twain based models like the Epson GT S50 but at this point I have learned enough of Acrobat to quickly append my pdfs retrospectively.



I strongly recommend avoiding the "bundled" product since I don't see what added value the Rack2File software brings.



I considered giving the scanner a one star review just to get people's attention but the hardware is so good 3 stars seems about right. Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Sheet-Fed Scanner

I have scanned about 8000 sheets so far. I have found these settings helpful with rack2filer:



1. Auto color detection, Duplex, Best image quality (300dpi Color/Grey 600dpi BW), Options [Only Blank page removal checked (no auto rotation - slows down page viewing)], Continuous scanning.



2. Same as above except change color mode to gray.



And in general I have found:



The multifeed detector works great and has detected many double feeds. It handles old thin thermal fax paper without double feeds - pretty amazing, because I would think that if anything would jam or double feed it would be that. The prompt shows the image of the detected multifeed and gives you the option of keeping it or discarding it - this has been helpful when it detects sticky notes on scanned paper that are supposed to be there.



It has handled many old papers - barely legible and has done an adequate job picking up light print.



Very light or old papers with light print or pencil hand writing are better handled by forcing the color detection to grey. Otherwise Auto everything works well.



Blank page detection - does not work with the other side of lined loose leaf paper or graph paper that has nothing written on it. That is to be expected - but a possible design improvement idea for this product. And to get around this, I have set the scanning side to single-sided. Otherwise blank page detection worked well.



Scans looked exactly like the originals and in rack2 filer the binders read and looked as well as the paper binders.



When it does jam (which was rarely the scanners fault and mostly from staples, taped paper or over loading), the prompt shows the last few pages scanned which makes it easy to recover.



Fanning and creating a step-like pattern of your paper stack before loading the paper makes a big difference in preventing paper jams.



Some of the advantages:



I can take many binders worth on information with me on my notebook without dragging the heavy paper binders in my bag - or one of those wheeled bags that my colleagues use.



There is the security of now being able to have multiple copies of my binders in physically different locations [desktop, notebook, and off site backups] all without using a copy machine.



I need less space for file cabinets [files], bookshelves [binders], and thus less office space.



Everything is now in one place. My office is too small to have all my binders and files together, but now they all fit in one folder on my hard drive.



Although I will still use paper to write on, I don't foresee a reason to ever need to bind or file papers anymore. Just take notes, scan, and recycle.



The actual images for Rack2Filer and CardMinder are in PDF files so if anything happens with Rack2filer - you can always access the data via windows explorer and acrobat.



I have used NeatWorks for my accounting (receipts), documents, and business cards for about a year now. The mobile scanner scans at 3 ppm black and white and 2ppm color - single sided only. So for duplex color ScanSnap is (20ppm x 2)/2ppm = 20x faster - a huge improvement. The NeatWorks software is also heavy and slow compared to Rack2filer and CardMinder.



However, NeatWorks is better than ScanSnap organizer or Rack2filer for receipts. And it can import the PDF scans from the S1500. So, I recommend using NeatWorks software (not the NeatWorks/Desk scanner) for receipts, Rack2Filer for documents and CardMinder for Business cards. - Pdf - Fujitsu - Scanner - Document Scanner'

Micro Sdhc - 8gb, microsdhc

I specifically ordered this memory card for my Blackberry Curve 8330 with two goals in mind.



1: Store videos and music on my phone

2: Expanded memory for applications and documents



On both counts I have not been let down! This card is wicked fast when it comes to file transfers via the Blackberry software. I had expected, indeed planned, for a bit of a "hit" when using the RIM software to expedite file transfers (play lists, music, and videos) but if there is one I am not seeing it.



The included adapter is a handy add on bonus as I do have quite a few microSD cards lying around and can now use those for other devices that accept SD cards.



Oh, and it IS a Class 6 card. Transcend 8 GB microSDHC Flash Memory Card TS8GUSDHC6

I purchased this 8GB - Class 6, upgrading from an 8GB - Class 4, because I needed the faster read/write speeds on my cell phone.



After installing it, I immediately noticed a faster response in the data transfer speeds. My ringtones, music, and pictures loaded faster, even when receiving a call.



I recommend upgrading to the Class 6 to anyone wanting/needing fast transfer rates.



The data transfer rates of SD Cards are:



(Read Speed of a Standard CD-ROM = 150 kb/s)

Class 2 - (Equivalent to ~13x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 2 MB/s

Class 4 - (Equivalent to ~26x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 4 MB/s

Class 6 - (Equivalent to ~40x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 6 MB/s



So, as you can see, the Class 6 is approximately 50% faster than a Class 4.

My overall view of the Transcend MicroSD card is that the product itself is good; however, the adapter that comes with it is not HC compatible. I have contacted Transcend directly about this shortfall and they are replacing the adapters as we speak. I do not blame the vendor that sold the card as the package was sealed and it was not a pirated version of the product. There are many different products available through the Amazon website that are also not HC compatible but sold with high capacity markings. If I were to purchase more cards from Amazon.com I would ensure the vendor tested the functionality with HC cards before I ordered them or allowed them to be shipped to me. I suggest dealing direct wth the manufacturer for these VERY FAST MicroSD Cards as they are now available directly on their website.

I own 6 micro SDHC cards which I use to store a variety of images and files for access on a number of devices. I have 4 Transcend Micro SDHC 16gb cards which are clearly the fastest (data transfer, class 6) and most reliable cards that I have used.

I purchased this 8GB microSDHC Transcend card to replace my 4GB Sandisk microSDHC card. This card works exactly as expected. It's hard for me to comment on the speed of it, class 6. It definitely is class 6 so there shouldn't be any hesitation in purchasing due to a lack of confidence. I don't often transfer data on and off the card so I really didn't notice any speed benefits. Again, the speed benefits may exist but I haven't noticed it. I always thought that Sandisk was the best most reliable brand, but that may not be true. I've had issues with Sandisk cards but this Transcend has worked perfectly.

I had been looking for a cheap way to expand the memory on my G1 phone and I wanted the fastest micro SD card around and here it is - a Transcend 8g class 6 card. The 8gigs is plenty of room to hold my stuff and the price is at the inflection point on cost per gig for me (ie the 16g is too expensive for the speed and the 4gig isn't enough space).



I've been using this as my portable music player now for several weeks and all I can say is there hasn't been a hiccup. In fact, I think the card has also improved the speed of the camera (which is to say the camera is still horribly slow - but maybe just a tad less so on the writes). Additionally, I use the phone, mounted as a USB drive, to move files to and from work. In this, I've noticed that the transfers are much more snappy - always a good thing.

Of the many hundreds if not thousands of HDTV units, both big brand name and 'generic', this LG 42PT350 was 1 of only 8 models tested by Consumer's Reports out of all sizes, all prices and all formats which the magazine chose not just to praise but to actually recommend for purchase. I ordered this unit largely on the strength of that review and this set did not disappoint. The fit and finish are outstanding as are the "thin frame" edging, which really are so thin they virtually disappear. Don't worry about the 720 aspect of this set as it presents beautifully. I went against the majority and purchased a plasma set to assure that the near 180 degree seating around the set would be visible to all and I am so glad I did.



A 'beginner's set' in price only as the features it provides for self-tuning the image staging compare favorably to professional screen staging if you are methodical. Go buy it! LG 42PT350 42-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

I am thrilled with my recent purchase of the LG 42PT350. Set up is easy and even a novice can navigate through the controller. Five stars for LG!!! CEVA, on the other hand is quite disappointing! Frankly I am stunned that a company such as Amazon would use a second rate outfit such as they are. I found nothing to be complimentary of through out the whole experience with CEVA. Shame on you Amazon for not policing the frieght companies in which you put your reputation on. I have been a loyal Amazon customer up to this point. I will think twice before I make another purchase due to the poor service I recieved from CEVA.

My recent purchase was a pleasant supprise - I had always purchased Samsung HDTVs and the low price ,including free shipping and no sales tax , was too hard to resist. The picture and many features which one would expect from a TV costing twice the price were beyond my expectations. Delivery time was exactly as promissed by Amazon.

This is my first plasma set, having bought an LCD TV in 2005. The picture is remarkable for movies and games. The Intelligent sensor that adjust the picture levels works fine. Some of the other image settings, like cinema and games, are brighter than the sensor usually sets for the TV. But I don't feel a need to adjust the picture quality. As for sound, i can't say because the set is connected to a home theater. The TV has an ample number of connections. it does have a slight lag when switching between inputs, something that wasn't evident in my previous TV. Could it be an LG or plasma trait? Maybe. Regardless, I'm glad I bought this set instead of shelling out more money.

Our LG TV was delivered on the 17th and dead on the 25th. We had a tech out to repair it twice, and guess what? It was still not working after those visits and more parts had to be ordered.... this time the entire screen had to be replaced. We were still within our return period for Amazon, so luckily, we dont have to deal with the issue any longer. It was ridiculous that we had the TV broken, longer than we have had the TV working. All the time spent waiting for the parts, the repair man, and then being told we had to wait another 10-14 days to get the newest parts.... not acceptable. We had to call and cancel the order/repair with LG, they were not apologetic or concerned and offered no other solutions. It is does not make sense that we would get a brand new product, and it breaks within 2 weeks. When I buy a new item, I expect it to work like a new item. No problems, no issues, just perfect. That is the only acceptable outcome for me and LG did not deliver with this TV. I would not recommend this TV to anyone, no matter how well priced it is.

I decided to try plasma after being dissatisfied with the black level, color accuracy, and blur reduction capabilities (using 120 Hz gave a very unnatural look) of the Samsung LN40D630, a well rated LCD set. My studio apartment faces north (room not too bright) and I watch the majority of TV in the evening. I used the picture wizard setup, and am very pleased with the results. Clearly brightness is not on par with LCD/LED sets; however, I am more concerned about color accuracy, black level, uniformity, and motion smoothness. The LG delivers on all these fronts. As well documented, the glass screen used in plasma TVs will reflect light noticeably, so I'd recommended not placing in front of window or strong light source. All in all, an excellent option for those seeking an affordable 42-inch set.

We purchased this television for our basement because I still believe that plasma televisions provide the best overall picture quality and with little natural light coming into the space, I did not have to worry about glare coming off of the screen.



The LG 42350PT is also great for mounting to a wall because the television itself is only 1.5" thick and takes up little space. Other features that we love include the TV's ability to automatically adapt the picture to the lighting in the room (brightens with light, adjusts when lighting is dimmed or off).



Overall, the LG 42350PT is a great television at an affordable price <$500.

I already have the LG 60" Plasma in my living room. This is the smaller version at just 42". I knew the quality would be just as good for putting this into my Master Bedroom and i was right. Very happy with the quality of this TV!

I was a little leary purchasing a plasma TV with all the new LCD and LED models coming out but the price and reviews twisted my arm. After receiving the set which came very well packed I saw that the screen had a glossy finish. This will NOT make you happy if you have the set where windows or lights will be reflected in it. That is about IT for shortcomings. The picture itself is great and checking out other TV's at similar sizes matches or exceeds competitors. Matching with other LG products such as blu-ray player links them up together so that your remote can control both... along of course with your DirecTV or Cable system. I have mine hooked up to an Onkyo system so the TV sound wasn't used enough to comment on but seemed to be adequate. - Plasma - Home Theater - 720p'
