Aaa Battery - aa, aaa battery

Because of temperature extremes in the car Lithium is the only type of battery I'll use in my accessories. Other types end up leaking. I also like the long storage for seldom used applications. I want them ready when I need them. Energizer Advanced Lithium AAA Battery 4 Pack

These Energizer Advanced Lithium AA batteries are a wonder for my portable compact disc player and Wii remote. I'll put it to you this way. I have listened to 20 cds all the way through plus cds that I skipped around on and they still have juice (with anti-skip on). I put a fresh pair in my Wii remote and played Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the first time. I put in many many hours on the game even with the remote speaker on a lower volume (the way I like it). I beat the main quest while collecting over 90 stars and they were literally 2 hours away from making it it all the way through. I am happy to know that there are batteries like this nowadays that I can just put in to these devices and just forget about swapping for a long while.

Other pros: Lighter than alkalines (another plus for the Wii remote and certain other portable devices)

Better and Safer for the environment.

Cons: Some would say price, but thinking about it. I think it's justified. You don't have to swap out as much, carry as many around, they last about 3 or 4 times longer than alkalines (depending on device). And they are better for the environment.

I am going to stock up on these sometime for sure.

I have had pretty good luck with the Energizer lithium batteries. I have used them in a Digital Wall Clock and it lasted about 2 years. I also have used it in an AA battery camera and it seems to do about 2-3x longer life than regular Energizer or Duracell batteries. What is amazing is the lower prices for the product as I think they were 2x as much.

New in the package lithium batteries, great for use in digital cameras, wireless mice, etc. Will last a long time, before you have to replace it. I was having to replace the battery in my wireless mouse at least once a month. Put one of these batteries in it the day I received them, and it hasn't had to be replaced yet.

So Far these battiers seem to working very well for my wii remotes....have played probably 15+ hrs so far and they are still goin strong. GREAT PRICE!!

UPDATE: These batteries are GREAT. Its been about 4 months and we just had to replace them. The Wii remote is used on a daily basis when playing the Wii and when we arent playing games we are watching NextFlix. Great Batteries, Highly recommened!!

I used two of these batteries in a weather station, probably a low draw application. Manual estimates battery life at 1.5-2 years with alkalines. These lasted two months. Don't know if I got bad batteries or I used them in the wrong application. I'm thinking bad batteries as lithium cells are supposed to maintain their voltage over long periods and when they do finally die, their voltage drop off curve is precipitous. - Lithium Batteries - Aaa - Aaa Battery - Aa'

Small Magnetic Dry Erase Board

I ordered 5 of these for my office, and will most likely have 5 of these in the garbage within a few months. First off - these look nice out of the box, with the shelf for markers and have a easy guide for hanging on the wall. However, all 5 of the board we recieved where crooked, like they were put together incorrectly. When one side of the board was touching the wall, the other would stick about an inch out. I figured that with some velcro I could easily fix the issue.

However, the biggest issue arose when trying to use the board for writing on - multiple times. I will also preface this comment by saying that I used brand new expo dry erase markers and expo dry erase board cleaner. After one use with a standard blue color, I simply could not remove the marker. I tried the standard dry erase board eraser and it just smeared the writing across the board, staining it. When I tried to remove it with cleaner - nothing happened. I now have a once-used, very blue board, with no way of cleaning it. I have included pictures with this review as well to support this.

I would not recommend these at all as they are a very poor product Dry-Erase Board, Melamine, 36 x 24, White, Satin-Finished Aluminum Frame

Ordered this board on Tuesday and got it on Thursday. The board was well packaged and I didn't notice any damage to either the board or the package. My only problem with the board is that the plastic border around it is a bit flimsy (but then again it's a $20 board so I won't argue).

And you also have to be careful how you place, because initially while reorganizing my room I threw it on top of a book on a floor overnight and the board look warped the next day. Not a problem though - I fastened the board flat with packaging tape to the wall, where it now sits perfectly.

I used Expo low odor markers to write on it and didn't have problems at all with erasing. I sometimes leave notes on the board for up to a week and after erasing with the eraser (without using any cleaner fluid)- I don't see any residue.

Overall, great board, great price. Think I'm going to order another one, but slightly larger for office use.

I teach private classes for screenwriters and television writers ([...]) and I needed a quality board that all of the students would be able to see, but I wanted it to be lightweight in case I need to transport it for seminars and other events that I sometimes get invited to.

What I really like about the board is I have kept lessons up on it for over a week at a time, and erasing the board after this is not an issue. It's a good board with enough size for a room full of people to read it but not so big that it dominates an entire wall. It hangs very easily - I just have it up on screws that I drilled into the wall, and that is because it is a nice light weight.

All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase, at a good price point as well.'

Usb 3 - usb 3 0, external hard drive

the sales literature and installation literature do not mention this. if you have a newer computer with a SATA power supply, then you will need an adapter consisting of a male SATA power plug on one end and a LP4 Molex 4 pin female plug on the other end to power up the card with at least 5vdc It will probably need to be at least a foot long to function in most computer desktop cases. if you have an older computer, all you will need is a pigtail from the computer power supply that has a LP4 molex plug that will reach the card Plugable PCI Express to SuperSpeed USB 3.0 2-Port Expansion Card (NEC/Renesas Chipset)

This PCI Express USB 3.0 is easy to install. It took me less 10 minutes to install the card & the Windows driver included.

I ran a comparison test on a desktop PC (3 year old HP mc8227c, 3GB RAM) and a laptop (Thinkpad w510, 8GB RAM). I copied a folder with 6.8GB files (around 20 files, the largest about 1GB). The write/read transfer rates on USB 3.0 are around 40MB/second & 80MB/second; USB 2.0 20MB/second & 40MB/second; So if you decide to buy this card, you should expect this card is twice as fast as a USB 2.0. If you expect it to be 10x based on technical specifications, it is not realistic. Good luck with your purchase.

This card works just as well as my Buffalo SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCIe card, but at a far lower cost. Plugable customer service was quick to respond to my inquiry as to whether it was advisable to supply power to the molex connector on the card (suggesting yes).

This addon card works well. Provides USB 3.0 Interface. Had a USB 3.0 external SATA drive connected. Transfer speeds were considerably faster then using USB 2.0. Appeared faster then eSATA. I am using an older MB. I failed to record the actual transfer rates. If you want to try USB 3.0 I recommend this card. I plan on obtaining additional USB 3.0 external drive enclosures. Allows for faster drive clone/backup and transfer of video files

This PCI-Express card worked great in my ASUS Evo Motherboard. I have sweet onboard video, so I did not need the slot. This card showed me how much faster USB 3.0 is compared to E-SATA, and I was impressed. 300GB transferred in less than one hour from a Maxtor 500GB 7200rpm drive in a Vantec external USB 3.0 enclosure. One slight issue I take with the card, is that I could not FULLY seat the card in the pci-express slot. In fact, if you take a look at even the pic on this page you can see a very slight angle in the mounting. However, the tabs on the card are more than deep enough to maintain connection, even with the slight angle, I'm just a bit old school on the tech, and prefer everything fit snug and proper. I also appreciate their use of the standard 4-pin molex connector for power. I had never heard of Plugable previously as a brand, but them seemed to do well with this card.

For the price this card does a great job. On my older motherboard, an ASUS M3A78-EM with an AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core Processor, I measured the time to create a file on various drives, as well as on a new external USB 3.0 drive. This motherboard has only USB 2.0 available but has a slot open that this card fits. In quick tests I am getting anywhere from 70 to over 80 megabytes per second on file creates with this card and a new 2TB USB 3.0 external drive. My other drives including a 1 TB eSATA external drive are only getting from 20 - 50 megabytes per second on file creates.

So, this inexpensive card allowed me to buy and use a 2 TB USB 3.0 external drive on an older system, that I will be able to use if/when I get a system that fully supports USB 3.0, and to boot I get significantly faster disk speed. Everything worked out of the box fine, there were no installation problems at all.

There are others that said they had driver issues, the card installed with very little issues. I rebooted after the install just to make sure and it worked like a champ. The data rates through the card are what most are saying, which is pretty good for USB 3.0. I would highly recommend the product and would buy again.

I wanted a USB 3.0 port to go with my new external drive. This one performs well, and is somewhat cheaper than others on Amazon. Hardware installation was simple, but the driver installation is another matter. This is the first piece of hardware for which I have been unable to get a driver from Windows 7 Driver Update. One MUST use the included CD in order for the port to be recognized. I was very surprised by this. The manufacturer should provide drivers to the Microsoft folks so that this hardware is easier to use.

Recommended.

I own several cards from different vendors and this one stood out for it's packaging and price. Very nice card with a led that indicates power to the port which my other cards do not provide. Contains the standard NEC/Renesas chipset which is probably the most mature chipset for USB 3.0 on the market which reduces the chances of incompatibilities. - Usb 3 0 - External Hard Drive'

Speedo Biofuse - training fins, flippers

My twin boys have used these flippers for the past two summers. Living in the South, we spend many months swimming and the flippers are still in great condition. They'll outgrow them before they wear out. We like the fact that the back is flexible rubber and comfortable on the foot. Friends kids have tried them out and wanted to know where they could get a pair because they're so much better than the strap on kind. U.S. Divers Sea Lion Jr Fin (Yellow/Blue, Size- 1-3)

Purchased the Aqua Dolfins for my 7 and 8 year old girls. Followed up with purchasing the US Divers fins. Both are very good for their needs (on a swim team practicing laps in a pool). The US Divers fins are two-tone, a little smaller in overall size, and definitely lighter. Presently, the girls are sharing the US Divers fins among them. The US Divers fins look like small adult fins and I think if they had a choice, they would prefer to swim with the US Divers fins. The most important aspect is fit. The girls have not complained about the fit of either brands' fins. Note: In Hawaii, it was difficult locating these US Divers fins for my young daughters. Highly recommneded.

My kids have been begging me for a set of fins since taking swim lessons last summer and getting to wear a pair. These are so nice and soft on their feet and ankles - they have not complained once about the fit or feel the way that I know they would if I'd bought the less pliable variety with the straps. Also, they have a big enough range in sizes that I won't have to replace them immediately, but they still manage to stay on their feet perfectly. The rubber seems extremely durable and yet soft too.

We don't go to the pool without them.

Purchased these for my novice swimmer daughter. This gives her alot of confidence since it makes treading easier and the obvious quick movement. Once she learned she can't walk fast out of the water she was doing tricks and swimming fast across the pool and even getting her underwater stamina and confidence.

These have not only been fun for my son to swim in, but they have improved his swimming. He used to run under the water ha ha...now he understands that keeping his legs straight and kicking up and down with the flippers makes him go so much faster! Even when he is not wearing them he is keeping his legs straight. Inexpensive and fun, all kids love them.

Bought these for our 6 y.o. son and he loves them. They are a little big, but don't fall off when he wears them, so just the right amout of growing room. No rubbing or hot spots, so they are perfect! :)

Joining the crowd. Excellent swimming fins for my child. Rubber material is soft enough(after a pair of plastic ones) to wear them for long time (my son practically does not take them off during the swim session (2 more hours). They fit his little feet well- true to the size. I definitely recommend them and will buy them again as soon as these are outgrown.

My 8 year old grandson loves these fins. They are well made and soft (flexible) enough for pools with liners. He was apprehensive of the water this year and the fins sparked his interest. He can beat his older brother to the opposite side of the pool. The fit was perfect for this year and hopefully next. The boot design is so much better than the straps that break so often. The price was so reasonable that I don't mind having to buy the next size up when needed.

These fins are fantastic! We kept getting the cheap plastic ones that come in a little kit at a department store but they fell apart in two weeks. So I took a chance and ordered these--for almost the same price. They are Awesome! Nikon Battery Charger - nikon, photography

I'm always looking for products that will work internationally - this adapts automatically to different voltages, and seems to charge my batteries efficiently.

The cable is separate, so if you want to get a short one for travel, you can.

I use it for my D50 and D200 - no issues at all. Nikon MH-18a Quick Battery Charger for the EN-EL3e Battery compatible with Nikon D80, D200, D300 and D700 Digital SLR Cameras

This battery charger is exactly the same as the one that came with our Nikon D50. It works perfectly, arrived packaged well and in a timely fashion, and of course, cost less than ordering from Nikon. A no brainer!

I broke my original Nikon charger by dropping it about five feet onto a concrete sidewalk. No visible damage, but it would not work after that. No complaints at this point and I ordered a new one. It arrived and worked fine for a week or two. Then it began to exhibit comnnection problems. Found the contacts where the battery met the charger were weak. Finally bought a Torx screwdriver and opened the cover. The contacts were fastened to the housing with a small spot of glue that pulled away from the housing. I reglued it but was sure it will not hold. Filled the mostly empty part of the housing with foam rubber and reassembled. Works fine now with the foam rubber holding the contacts in the proper position, but you should not have to redesign a new charger.

Works as advertised - identical to the charger that comes with the D200 and D300 cameras. I do not know the standards that they measure against in order to come up with the "Quick" Battery Charger - but that is irrelevant for me. I pop a battery in it the night before a photo shoot and it is ready the next morning...

I realize that there are a host of cheaper knock off brands available at Amazon and at other vendors. However, staying with Nikon branded equipment is a good choice. I used mine recently at 220 volts in Peru and it worked perfectly without a converter. It is well built and the wide range of voltages and hertz settings insures world-wide capabilities. Why buy a knock-off when the real thing is reasonably priced? How much are your photos worth to you?

Does what it says on the box, good price, fast service... Just as well as my original charger is on a different continent to my camera (and me). Once charged these batteries are amazing, seem to last forever, never managed to used one up in a whole days shooting, even with the built in flash. Now why can't my laptop be like that...

As the title says: this charger does what it's supposed to do. I lost my original D90 charger and bought a cheap, non-Nikon, replacement, which didn't charge the battery fully. In the end, I had to go for original Nikon charger. This, of course, doesn't mean there are no third-party chargers which work OK. I just didn't have any luck finding one.

Came promptly as promised. Its the Nikon charger to replace the one that was crushed (no comment). Works just like the "old" one did before it was crushed. I feel these chargers are overpriced, but then again its from Nikon and everything is normally expensive with them.

This is by far a giant step backwards from Nikon. Really an cheap, inferior product as compared to what it's replacing, the MH-19 Battery Charger, discontinued by Nikon. The MH-19 was a dual battery charger, with both AC and DC charging options.

Although many did complain that it would only charge one battery at a time. (The charging of the second battery would only begin after the first battery completed charging.) Something Nikon should have corrected and come out with a revised model.

Instead, they just discontinued the product, and came out with this cheaper MH-18a model, which will only hold one battery.

So that forces people to purchase 'two' of these for the charging of two batteries for those cameras with expanded battery capacities, such as those using the MD-80.

A better battery charging system? Well, after purchasing 'two' of these, granted, one can now charge two batteries at the same time without that issue the MH-19 had of first charging one battery, then the second.

However the MH-19 did only use one electrical outlet, where using two MH-18a chargers, now a second electrical outlet is needed.

But that is not the worst of all.. By not revising the MH-19 to charge two batteries at the same time, discontinuing that and coming out with a cheaper single battery charger, Nikon once again dropped the ball, taking that giant step backwards.

The MH-19 did have both AC and DC charging options, meaning that you can charge batteries away from an AC source, such as using a vehicle DC source. The MH-19 did come with an internal plug and cord just for this purpose.

However according to Nikon Customer Relations, the MH-18a can be operated AC only.

So now, besides having to purchase two MH-18a chargers, to have that option for location or remote vehicle DC charging, one needs to go out and purchase a vehicle power inverter, with two AC outlets on it.

Ipad 2 Smart Cover Enhancer

I'm a relatively new iPad 2 owner, and I've recently been looking for cases that are both functional and nice-looking. I've decided after using this case that it is a very nice alternative to the Apple SmartCover. The downside to the cover is that, well, it's not really a case, so it can't completely protect the iPad. This case is nice because it protects the backside from scratches (although I doubt that it would protect very well from drops). The case fits the iPad 2 snugly, and the outside is soft and pleasant to the touch. The case closes securely due to the magnets embedded to the front, and the iPad automatically wakes up when the cover is opened (sleeps automatically as well when the cover is closed). There's no special design to the outside of the case, but it looks sleek and simple. I also own the Scosche hard leather case. The upside to that compared to this case is that it is able to offer multiple viewing angles. This one is restricted to two viewing positions. I would strongly recommend getting this case.

UPDATE:

After using this case for a couple of days, I realized that the magnets emobedded into the cover are actually weaker than that found in the Apple SmartCover. I guess that's a bit of a con, but it still works solidly (sorry about my slow observation). With enough force, the cover can flap out by itself due to the weak magnets, but I don't imagine myself holding the case in such a way so it's not too big of a problem. The case is very slim and form fitting. It's a soft case, so it's more like an envelope than a case really. There are parts around the edges that crinkle slightly, but nothing too drastic. It's similar in Apple's smart cover in form/function. I don't regret the purchase for approx $25.

My single biggest complaint is that the cover's magnet is WEAK. If you use the cover as a stand for any extended period of time, the cover's edge will not snap shut or stay shut immediately. Usually I remedy this by putting the thing face down or weighing it down with a book. The other complaint is the speaker opening. In order to keep the fit tight, the case uses a perforated opening for the speaker which reduces the volume significantly.

I have received this case + smart cover within a short time after purchasing. I'm satisfied with this product. The material is the same as the original apple iPad case with additional smart cover of iPad2. Now I don't need to worry about protecting the iPad2 body anymore. With this case, my iPad2 looks slim and elegant. I would recommend for every iPad2 owner.

This case is as close as you can get to the 1st Gen iPad Apple Case. The polyurethane is almost exactly the same material and feel as the original Apple case. The magnets also wake/sleep the iPad 2 with no issues. All hole are cut and aligned very nicely. This is an excellent choice for anyone that loved the 1st Gen iPad Apple Case!!!

I bought this case for my white iPad 2. It came in a envelop - the case plus and touch screen cleaning cloth. I inserted my iPad 2 into the case and it fits very nicely into the case.

Pros:

- Exact fit

- Same function as Apple smart cover.

- Good value - comparing to $39 Apple smart cover.

- Light weight

- Good quality

Cons:

- Only one color available and someone else may prefer a different case color for white iPad 2

I love my iPad 1 case from Apple, so I was very happy to see this offered for the iPad 2. The material feels much like the original and the iPad fits snugly. The front does cover the home button a bit and the light sensor, but so far that does not bother me too much. I'll have to play with it more, but so far, it works well for me.

This iPad 2 case works great. Looks just like the apple iPad 1 case. I love it. Ctcstore shipped this fast and the case arrived 3 days before they said it would. Money well spent. Don't listen to these 1 star reviews, they never rate the case itself. Buy this and you will love.......'

Portable Table Saw - contractor, portable

I ordered this saw to meet an immediate remodeling job requirement. I was astounded that Amazon got it to me in two days where others were quoting more than a week. The saw assembled easily and the initial setup was straight forward and alignments correct. It definitely meets the "portable" standard and the rolling stand is among the best I've seen. Overall, I've given it five stars for its combination of quality, portability and competitive price among saws with comparable features. DEWALT DW744XRS 10-inch Job Site Table Saw with Rolling Stand

This is the second time I bought this saw. I am a contractor and just plain wore the first one out. Had a lot of problems in the end keeping the fence aligned. But still the best portable saw out there for my purposes. What I would say about the rolling stand is that it ads a LOT of weight to the saw. I bought the side and rear table extensions (DW7441). Problem is, with the rolling stand, when you fold it up and stand it on end to roll it, the side extension slides out and hits the floor! (very frustrating) Called Dewalt tech support to report obvious design oversight, (am sure they immediately called a meeting with R and D) and to hear the obligatory appology for the trouble I was having with no remedy (or understanding) of the problem. Overall a decent saw as far as portable saws go.

I have several DeWalt tools because of their quality. This was my latest addition because of the rack and pinion fence, mobile base and available outfeeds (DW7441) making it a great job site tool.

I do however concur with one previous rater, you MUST check the accuracy of the gauge. Though it says it's calibrated at the factory, mine was off. Minor and easily adjusted.

It's not a light saw, but the mobile base rolls great once you have the saw mounted to the base.

Highly recommend it!

Before I purchased this saw I was looking at the Bosch and Rigid saws that came with stands. When I saw this one the choice was clear for me. For the same rip capacity this saw takes up a lot less space in my van and I prefer the rack and pinion fence. I received the saw and was not disappointed. Setup was straightforward and easy. The starter blade was acceptable. My fence was accurate but I still checked it. Not much to say but the saw is solid and jobsite conditions ready. You would have a hard time matching this combo of saw and stand. I was also impressed by Amazon getting it to my door quicker than local distributor could get it. I've had my saw 6 months and I still haven't seen this combo in town.

I bought this saw for a recent job and it performed excellently. The saw has a great fence that works flawlessly and was easy to adjust. People seem to complain that it is out of alignment but it only takes 15 seconds to adjust which was no big problem. The saw has great power for ripping 2x's and plastic trim. Used it with a delta dado set and was a little underpowered but it was what I expected. The depth of adjustment works very nice so does the bevel adjustments. The riving knife is really nicely designed so that it can be adjusted very easily. The guard looks nice and seems sturdy but I don't use it. In a nutshell it is very comparable to a contractors saw but smaller.

The stand is also very nice. Large tires, nice handle and it serves its purpose. It is really easily to put together and folds up very nicely.

Coming from a framer it is a very nice saw that comes in handy more than you would think. Highly recommended and add a freud 24 tooth thin rip blade and it is amazing. Leave Nu questions in the comment box and ill get back to very quickly

I have owned four DeWalt Table Saws.I use one for about 4-5 years and sell it,purchase a new one.I owned a Mikita as my first table saw.I tried a DeWalt and went for it because it is a bettter saw and easier to use with the rack and pinion.A DeWalt weighs less then the other mentioned saw and this makes a difference when you go jobing and have to carry the saw up five flights of stairs and down every day,or in and out of a work site.I also have a 12 in DeWalt Slide Saw,double bevel.My fourth.I have never had a DeWalt Product let me down on a JOB.

I like the quality of Dewalt tools and when I needed a new Table saw for some home improvement projects I have been holding off on I decided to purchase this item. I had a very similar table saw I purchased a few years ago by a major brand but the alignment fence was junk. It would pop off at the slightest pressure and even using clamps to attempt to hold it in place failed.

I now have new things I want to do around the house so I ordered this table saw since Dewalt makes great products and especially because of the rack and pinion fence. Everything about this saw is well built and vary accurate. I tested after my first few cuts after reading previous reviews but mine was dead on.

As a bonus it was nice that the saw is more quiet than I expected. I am satisfied with it enough that I am looking for more projects to do just so I can use this saw.

I bought this saw to replace a Delta Contractors saw and am really happy with it. The saw does need minor adjustment after it is out of the box, but it works solidly once setup. The rolling stand that converts to use as a work stand is well designed and as good as the De Walt mitre saw stand I also have. Well designed system and easy to use.

As a contractor I have 2 of these saws that get plenty of use and abuse. They are used outdoors a lot and sometimes get rained on and don't skip a beat(we don't oporate them in the rain). The stand and rip fence are worth the extra costs over other brands. In this price range I haven't seen another brand with a comparable fence. The only other contractor saw that comes close overall is the Bosch 4100.

You do have to keep in mind that these aren't made for fine cabinetry work, they are for job site work, ripping the last strip of flooring, ripping filler panels for kitchen cabinets(hidden cut face), extention jambs, etc... They do a very good job of it. They also oporate much smoother than the cheap brands which makes a big difference when cutting tapers free hand. Of course with a little thought you can use these for fine work on small parts, ditch the mitre gauge and build a sled, a couple of dollars in material and a little bit of time will net you the ability to make cuts that rival what the best full size saws can muster. Slop in the mitre gauge isn't what stops me from using it anyway, it's the small size at 6" or so they don't support work very well and are too far from the blade for short pieces.

Over all this saw is the best when it comes to yanking it out of the truck and making a quality cut within seconds of plugging it in. Before getting these I usually found myself using the circular saw if I only had one rip to make, because the other brands I had were too tedious to set up. The other style of fence is so bad I still haven't lost the urge to measure front to back on the fence everytime I adjust it.
