Bought it for my Boyfriend and he loves it. It is just like a snuggie so if you have owned one before you know of the wear and tear. I bought 2 of these each for my sister and her husband. They are big Dallas Cowboys fans and live in colorado. They came in the same box, but one package looked brand new while the other was nearly torn to shreds. Nothing was wrong with the snuggie itself but the box was mangled. I didn't quite understand why one would be perfect and the other was trashed if it was in the same box unless they just gave me a good one and a mangled one. But that falls on the company not the product. I ended up just rewrapping them both in other boxes for them and it's perfect for them especially in the winter times.

Although the Cowboys didn't make it to the Super Bowl this year, This is a good item. I plan to give it to my brother for his birthday. It will be good for watching the "boys" in the Super Bowl next year!

I ordered this product just 5 days before Christmas for my mother who is a BIG Cowboys fan!!! She was surprised and happy to receive this comfortable Blanket with sleeves. The product was exactly what i ordered and it arrived on time like promised. I looked all over the place and couldn't find this product anywhere. I even went on the Dallas Cowboys website and couldn't find the blanket. Amazon came through for me. I would definitely recommend ordering from Amazon.com and Northwest in the future. It is very good pen. Somebody commented before that it's only a pen, whatever. I have a Cross, Waterman and a bunch of random stick pens in between. This is really good, for a "sub-compact" it has really good feel, better than my Cross and the ink flows really well. The only one to compare ink flow and consistency to is the Pilot G2, just as good.



The only problem I had when purchasing was with the descriptions, there was nothing to put it in context. The closed size is maybe an inch longer than Chapstick and half as thick. The opened size is maybe a quarter inch less than the G2 gel pen.



The ink dries really quick and is a really good companion to my Moleskine notebook. The mini G2's were my first choice but the ink took too long to dry and was always smudging. This is a premium compared to the G2 but you won't regret it. Fisher Space Pen, Bullet Space Pen, Matte Black, Gift Boxed (400B)

This is a great pen. It is compact, with the end protected until it is used. It actually will write on a variety of surfaces that normally will irritate people trying to write on with an ordinaly pen. The only problem is the lack of a good clip. The version of the pen with a clip is a failure because the clip keeps falling off until you lose either the clip or the pen.

I am very pleased with this pen's performance. It's perfect for pocket carry because it folds up into a tiny package, and it's practically indestructible, so I never have to worry about leaking ink on my pants. I purchased the black model for myself and the gold model for my dad as a gift. I prefer the look of the black model, but the golden one has ribs along the side that gives you better traction. My only complaint is that on flat surfaces, there's nothing keeping the round pen from rolling around.



Long story short:



Pros:

+ Durable

+ Compact

+ Reliable

+ The ink cartridges write for ages, and have an amazing shelf life



Cons:

- Not great for desktop work, since there's nothing keeping it from rolling away (although you can purchase a slide on pocket clip to solve this problem)

Because of our occupations my wife and I write a lot and in constant need of a great writing tool. At first I was hesitant because I thought the whole space pen thing was just some ploy. But after reading a few reviews and seeing how well made these pens were I was sold. Not to mention they are made in the good 'ol U.S.A. The form factor of the Bullet pen is very small when closed. It measures almost 4 inches like this. But you take the cap off and place it on the end and the pen is suddenly a full size pen measuring 5.5 inches. The powder coating has held up extremely well on this pen. Very nice being as to how much I use this thing! You get a lot of bang for your buck with the cartridges too! I have read that most people get between 6-9 months use out of each one. The writing from this thing is awesome. I cant tell you how smooth a line this thing puts down. Plus, I love how bold the ink is. I am a customer for life. If you are thinking about getting one just get it you will love it!

In the end, the fisher Bullet space pen's pros really outweigh its few cons.



Pros:



The pen writes very well, smooth and precisely. It lets out a fine stream of ink, making it easy to read and keeping it from bleeding through paper. I tested the pen and found that it really does everything it says; in fact, when my friend stated "any pen can write upside-down", I challenged him to continuously write upside-down with his regular pen. After a few seconds, it stopped working. The space pen kept going.



It's other functions work equally as promised; once, a bottle of water spilled and drenched my entire notebook in water. It was a while before I found it. To my dismay, my notes were illegible, EXCEPT for the notes I had written with my space pen, because the ink remained waterproof.



The pen's size makes it extremely easy to carry around, but because the cover fits on to the back of the pen, it is large enough to be very comfortable when writing. I can throw it in my pocket or my bag and know I'm going to have it when I need it. The matte black finish also keeps the pen from being too slippery and falling out of pockets or bags.



The pen's ink reserve lasts MUCH longer than the average pen, believe me, and you don't have to worry about it bleeding on your clothes.



Cons:



Unfortunately, the pen's design does sacrifice SOME comfort. If you write for long periods of time, your hand might start hurting with this pen. It lacks any padding, gripping surfaces, or ergonomic design. Then again, this pen isn't really meant for long periods of writing.



The clip; please, Fisher, FIX the clip. When you first get the pen, DO NOT trust the clip to stay on. It will easily come off, and if you aren't careful, that could mean losing your space pen. I found that I had to push the clip down the pen's body, until it was at an extremely snug position, literally unable to move. Unfortunately, the metal of the clip left two tiny scratches through the finish from my having to push it down, though they are barely noticeable.

NOTE: However, I would absolutely recommend getting the model WITH the clip. It serves different enhancing functions! It stops the pen from rolling away due to it's round shape, it helps keep the pen up in pockets and bags so that you don't have to go digging for it, and it offers a more comfortable grip. Just remember to really push it down, hard, on the pen body!



I definitely recommend this pen to anyone looking for an everyday pen just to carry around, or anyone with a job/hobby that requires a pen that is easy to carry but needs to work in adverse conditions!

I purchased the Fisher Bullet Space Pen for my fiancé as part of a birthday gift along with a 3 pack of moleskine pocket-sized notebooks. He's a programmer, so he often has unexpected meetings to discuss projects and I wanted him to have a reliable black ink pen and notebook set that could easily and comfortably fit in his pocket. After the first day he was raving about it and also tested it under water with success, though I can't think of a scenario other than a rainy day where this would be needed. I've used it myself and it's both smooth in design as well as function. It feels great in the hand and I never had a hiccup with the ink as I've had with most other pens. The cap also fits snug, so there are no worries about it getting ink in your pockets or cases. The only minor downside to this pen, and this depends on how you use it and where you intend to keep it, is that it tends to fall out of your pocket when you sit down from time to time. This can be easily resolved by purchasing the clip attachment, or simply by putting it in a different pocket! Overall a great price for reliability and design. We love it!'

Normally I'm a grab-whatever's-nearest kinda gal, but I've started keeping track of this pen. I carry it with me. I use it for everything from taking notes at meetings to jotting down lists to doodling sketches for design projects. It's not a drafting-quality pen - the gel ink dries just slowly enough to smear if you're in a frenzied hurry, but it does dry much faster than most gel pens (oh Gelly Roll, our affair was cut short by your messy habits). Smooth, even ink flow -- none of that fading-in-and-out nonsense. This pen allows a strong, sassy style. I can't believe I'm putting a box of pens on my wishlist, but these really are my favorite thing to write with. I find myself writing unnecessary lists *just to use the pen*. This really is probably the best pen I've written with. It writes very smoothly..no scratchy feel. The ink is dark and dries instantly. With other dark writing pens, if you accidentally drag your hand through what you've written, you wind up with ink all over your hand and a smeared page. Not with this pen. I am amazed!

All the other 5 stars have extolled the dark ink, smooth flow and other great characteristics of these pens. I just want to add that I do crosswords in ink, in bed, and these pens do NOT stop writing when the point is higher than the barrel. I remember the story of picking the Fisher pen that was developed to write in space in the sixties: I bet this one would do the trick! Absolutely the best pen I have ever owned. And yes, hard to find in the previously wide distribution so hopefully not on the slate for discontinuing!

I'm no pen fanatic but I do hate cheap pens.

My G-2 Pro recently crapped out on me, and the refills for a .38 tip (AMAZING BTW) cost more than 4 of these. I am extremely right-handed, so smearing is a problem for me as I tilt my paper 20-50 degrees to the left.

I personally love professional-stlyed pens, and this pen doesn't look too good. I would love to see a stainless-steel or aluminum version of this pen, without the bulky cap.

The grip is nice and grippy, as expected. No slipping at all.

8/10 stars. Would like to see a finer point like .5mm in stores. .7 is only in stores.

Yep, call me another oddly attracted fan. They write smoothly,

easily and boldly. I got them because the gel is the safe type

that can't be easily dissolved off of checks by would-be forgers,

like typical ball-point inks can. It never smears for me (a leftie),

and it never blobs up at the start or has a varying/fading line.

This is my absolute favorite pen! I don't know, it's just something about how it writes. I regret that I gave half of my supply to my husband, LOL. I have already used all of mine, and I want to steal his back...but I guess I'll just buy some new ones. :-)

Pentel is my new favorite gel pen. I used to only use uni-ball, but lately all my uni-balls have been getting scratchy and seeming to run out of ink even though the gel level is still high. I have a 2 1/2 year old and he still cannot use these and open the back door (where the pool is), so i am very pleased with these childproof doorknobs. These are the best door knob covers we've tried. Young elementary school kids (and most adults)eventually figure how to open these (and have the strength to do it), but keeps kindergarteners and younger kids inside.

We've probably had to replace them once in about a 4 or 5 year span, so very durable too.

I started babysitting over 25 years ago so I do know alot about baby proofing a house. I cannot stress this enough how great these door knob locks are! We were having 3 children ages 5,3 and 17 months visiting for 3 weeks so we knew we needed to put a door knob lock on the basement door to avoid anyone falling down the stairs. This door knob lock was perfect and it did its job. Not once was a child able to open the door. Honestly, I even had trouble a few times getting the combination correct in order to go downstairs. Basically the lock comes in two pieces. You place each piece around the door knob and click it together using a very firm grasp. Once the knob is on you have to firmly push in both of the gray pressure buttons at the same time as well as turn the knob at the same time. It can be tricky for adults and none of the kids could figure it out. They always had to ask an adult to open the door for them. So this item gets an A+ for safety and overall quality. I would not hesitate to purchase these door knob locks and for the price you get two of them. : ) Can't get better than that!

We bought these because our 2-year-old figured out how to take the ones we had off and open the door and be gone. He only had to see us open the door once with this one and he could do it himself. Probably great for a younger child with smaller hands, and less desire to get into trouble. The plus is my mom who has severe arthritis, could open this one much easier than the old one we had.

This product works perfectly. We use it on our daughters bedroom door to make sure she can't wander around the house at night. We also gave one to our neighbor who used it on her cellar door as a safety measure.

I bought these because I had the ones that had the hole in the middle and my 12 month old learned how to stick her finger in there and pop them off. I liked that these had the cover over the hole so she couldn't easily stick her finger in there. However, the part that comes down on these guards, make it easy for the little ones to open the doors. At 18 months, my daughter learned how to squeeze them and open the doors. These do look nice though.

Our 3 year old grandaughter had gotten in the habit of unlocking the door and going outside without permission. This product fixed that habit! It is easy to place on the door knob and makes it impossible for her to open and even unlock the door. We were also concerned that she would unlock to the door to a stranger. Now we are able to breathe easy. Long story short; this product is well worth the money and time. The other products we tried only had holes on the sides and were very difficult even for adults to manuver. I needed a door knob lock that was a little bit more sophisticated then the ones you can buy at the stores since my 2 year is a great escape artist. These are great, but maybe a bit too safe...I can't get out or the doors. We ended up just keeping one on the door going to outside and taking the rest off. Given the lackof reviews on this item, I was hesitant to buy-so glad I did. Installation was not too difficult, hardest part was installing the bracket on the wall due to the stud positions of my wall. There is lots of room to hide cables, about 2 to 2 1/2 inches behind each panel, and it looks really sharp. I bought two, so I stacked all four shelves atop one another under my wall-mounted TV. The shelves are well designed so that they easily bear the weight of my Denon receiver. I purchased the BWS-101 for my new HTPC based on the positive reviews I read and the fact that each shelf holds 50 lbs, since the HTPC is heavy (at least 30 lbs).



The instructions were clear and easy to decipher for a beginner like myself, within about an hour I had 1 of the shelves up and it looks fantastic and feels sturdy. The cable management space behind the wood panel is great, my setup looks better than I thought it would. Since the wood accent panel comes in several finishes to compliment and decor or preference I can see my self using this shelf for many years to come.



On a side note, I stripped some of the screws during installation (I didn't drill deep enough into the stud) and called Bell'O about replacement hardware and a very polite woman picked up on the first ring and without question said she would UPS some new hardware immediately free of charge. Quite impresssive to say the least.

This is a solid product. You can choose to mount between two studs or on a single stud. I chose the single stud and put the shelf to the side of the TV (rather than the typical placement below) because I wanted the components out of reach of the kids. I put the subwoofer for my Sony HT-CT100 on the top shelf. That weighs about 30 lbs, but the shelf holds it no problem. On the other shelf I stacked the cable box and blu-ray player. There is room to hide a thin power strip behind the panels in the wire hiding area.

I love my Bell'O wall shelf. It's a beautiful accent item. I was looking for something to hold my DVD player and cable box. I looked high and low for something like a TV stand. I didn't want a TV stand because my 42" TV is mounted on the wall. The unit almost looks like it's a part of the TV. It looks awesome under my TV. Great purchase!'

Electric Staple Gun - stapler, electric

Pros:

-Safety. Great safety feature which is a small clip where the staple comes out. The stapler will only shoot the staple if the clip is depressed, and it will only be depressed when you have it in place to staple something.

-Dual Purpose. Stapler / brad nail gun. I only used the staple feature, but I'm sure the brad nail feature works fine as well.

-Electric. You don't need the getup involved in having an air gun. Plug it into any outlet and go.

-Performance. When I pressed firmly down on the wood I was stapling, the staples would sink all the way down most of the time. This was really a 4 out of 5, because if you didn't press quite firmly, it wouldn't sink the staple all the way. I was stapling into southern pine, which is a softer wood. I don't think it would have performed as well with a harder wood like oak. I'd have liked a stronger gun which would sink the staple all they way regardless of how hard I pressed, or what wood I was stapling into, but then for $25, I can't complain too much.

-Specs. Compare this electric stapler to other electric staplers. They are 120V, 10 Amp, 60 Hz, just like this one. As for why they are more expensive, who knows.



Cons:

-Performance. See above. For the price, it is surely as good as it gets, and will get the job done for the average DIY such as myself, but the power isn't overwhelming.



That is all the usefull information in my review, for a more exact and mostly boring background of my review of the stapler, read below.



I recently moved into a house with a fenced backyard. There was a 2-3" gap under the fence, and so I had to install chicken wire along the entire length of the fence so that our rat terrier (the wife's of course) couldn't get out. Using the Stanley staple gun, I did it. Now, as for performance of unit, it was very good, not great. I found that if I pressed down firmly on the wood I was stapling, that it would sink the staple all the way down. The reality was that the fence would "give" a little when i stapled into it, and so almost all the staples stick out just a little bit. Now, they'll work fine, but it just isn't the clean look everyone wants. It would have been nice to have a gun powerful enough to sink the staple no matter what, even if the wood under the gun vibrates or "gives" a little, but then I'm a guy that likes extra power in just about everything. It jammed once which was my fault for not setting it against the fence properly, and the jammed staple came out with no problem the next time I pressed the trigger. Purchased this gun, but will be returning it right away.



This gun may be good for very soft wood and short staples, but is worthless for your average wood or hardwood.



I tried this gun first with 1/2" staples on poplar wood. The staples only went in about halfway. I tried again with 1/4" staples (the shortest) and they still did not penetrate fully even with very hard pressure.



I tried the same staples with an average manual gun, and they penetrated fully.



If you're looking for something tho make your staple work easier, look elsewhere.

The reason the title says "buy a hammer with it" is because you will definitely need the hammer. Here is how the stapler works, first you fire the shortest staple (1/4 ") into soft pine wood, then you realize that it did not go all the way in, now you take the hammer and finish driving the staple in......see how easy it is. :-)



In short, this stapler is simply not a good product and definitely not up to what I normally expect from Stanley. And yes, I did have the stapler set on the "high" power setting. Unfortunately, I tossed all of the packaging thus I can't take it back so I will just throw it away and buy an Arrow brand. I hope you gain something from this review because I sure lost out on the deal.

Purchased one of these to drive 3/8" Stainless Steel Arrow T-50 staples through thin indoor-outdoor carpet into oak stairs. The staples worked fin in my manual Arrow T-50 gun, but the Stanley gun, at it;s highest setting could only get the staples in all the way about half the time. One bang with a hammer drove them in the rest of the way , but that defeats the idea of the electric gun, in my opinion.



It did perform well on a block of Alder and also Doug Fir, but forget about Oak , Walnut or hardwoods.

I would recommend this product for woods softer than Oak.

I thought this would make my upholstery job easier. Now, I have to hammer each staple in, regardless of the setting. And forget odd angles- my manual works better. Unless you're flush against the surface, the staples don't even go in. The price is right, but only if it works as well as a manual. It does not. Maybe the $100 range does the job. Going back to the silver stapler.

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers in this class (one star.) I've never written a review before, but this unit is so poor at setting staples that I am confused why it was ever marketed. Surely, Stanley knew it would be found out? The staples do not penetrate, the +/- control is cosmetic only, and the shame of putting this into a landfill is more valuable than the item. Is this American made?

I needed a stapler to hang insulation in my garage and trusted the Stanley brand. But most of the staples could only be driven in half way, and I was using 5/16" staples. I am very disappointed with this item and made for a frustrating experience.

The Stanley TRE550 works as well (i.e. as poorly) as other manual and electric staple guns and brad drivers that I have used. A common characteristic of these tools is that you must hold the base absolutely flat against the work and press the tool down firmly as you staple, otherwise the staple is not driven all the way down. It is difficult to determine by sense of touch whether the base is flat against the work. You may swear that you have positioned the tool correctly, but when you examine its posture visually you find that you have the back of the base slightly off the work or have it tilted to one side. The TRE550 has a narrow base so the problem is worse with the TRE550 than with some other staplers. The work piece must be firmly supported. For example, if you are stapling into a board that is slightly crooked and it is not touching the work table directly under your staple, the staple may not go all the way in. As other reviewers have noted, if you want staples driven flush with the work (with this or other electric or manual staplers) you should have a hammer handy to finish the job.



Unlike similar Arrow brand staplers, the TRE550 has a safety mechanism that prevents the tool from firing unless the nose is in contact with the work. It will still fire when the magazine is empty of staples and this leaves a slight indentation. The TRE550 is not the stapler to buy if you want to do rapid fire stapling. The safety is useful if you are worried about accidentally pressing the trigger and shooting a staple through the air.



I have used electric and manual staplers to attach artists canvas to wooden stretchers made of poplar. The TRE550 works as well as the electric Arrow ETF50BPN, the Stanley Manual TR150HL and an old model Arrow manual stapler that I use. Out of 10 staples, you have to finish driving one or two of them with a hammer. All staplers that I have used jam occasionally. The jams are not hard to clear. You open the magazine and the mangled staple usually falls out of the tool. To avoid jams, don't use small groups of staples that have broken away from a chain of staples, as these chains come fresh from a box.



While doing work on a roof, I was stapling sheets of polyethylene as a temporary cover. The staples were being driven into several sheets of tar paper that covered the top of concrete. I accidentally drove one staple into an area where the tar paper had peeled off and the staple hit the concrete. This broke the stapler. The TRE550 stopped firing at all. When I shook it, I could hear a loose part sliding up and down. I took the tool apart. (This probably voids any warranty. One of the screws requires a security torx.) The loose part was the metal band that drives the staple. There is a spring with two long arms and one of the arms has popped out of a hole in the band. Putting the spring back fixed the loose part. However the TRE550 was still dead electrically. There is a small perfboard inside the tool with some electrical components. The driving mechanism consists of a coil of wire and a piston that slides up and down within it. My voltmeter showed that that the resistance of the coil was 1.2 Ohms, so it was not shorted. I could measure 120 V AC coming into the tool. (The problem was not that the saftey switch was left open. I put the tool back together to test it.) I conclude some of the electric components on the perfboad have gone bad.



Checking the Stanley website, there are no replacement parts listed for this tool. The electronic components on the perfboard do have standard markings and it looks like a simple circuit.



The TRE550 has a knob that turns to adjust the power of the tool. Like the adjustments on other electric or manual staplers that I have used, this adjustment doesn't do much. With the tool apart you find the knob controls how far the piston rises. The knob has a shaft with a wedged shaped end that acts like a simple cam. As you turn the knob the piston is allowed to rise more or less. A complete revolution of the knob brings the setting back to where it was.



I rate this tool as two stars out of five to indicate it is a somewhat below average electric stapler. This is due to its narrow base. It did break easily, but whether other electric staple guns might have broken under the same conditions, I cannot say. - Stapler - Stanley - Staple Gun - Electric'
