High Precision Micro Bits

These bits bend like annealed iron. You can literally bend them into a ring with just your fingers. Somehow they still work ok. I am guessing only the tips are hardened.

The case is horrible. It's very difficult to open without spilling bits everywhere.

But for hand drilling/dremel work, they're great. For sure, these bit are UNBREAKABLE! Very bendable, but not breakable. Just take care when handling them, as you can very easily bend them on accident. :) 20pc MICRO-DRILL BITS INDEX 61-80 w/ Plastic Case

The drill bits were fine, they do what they're supposed to do but the case they came in is just a cheap little plastic thing that is miserable to open. Toss the case in the trash and store the bits some other way and you'll be happy.

These bits start out fine, but become blunted and unusable after about half a dozen drilled holes in any metal. I attempted to use these bits for drilling holes in copper and silver, which are soft metals and should be fine for any hardened steel implements. Lubrication doesn't help in any noticeable way. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

I needed to drill thread size hole inside a piece of plastic, I thought about doing it with a hot needle but did not want any heat mangling in the area. I bought this and did not expect much. The case is hard to open, need to use a screw driver and open very gently or all the pieces will fall. I used the pieces with my deremel to drill the plastic piece. I was very please with the results. I can not do with out this bits at this time. I wiahed I had a better case. The bits are too small for any of the case that I have.

Lads,

The Clear part slides up and down over the blue part and there should be a little hole where the Drill bit slides out. There is no need to open the box at all.

I've been using them for years and only found out now. LOL!!!

cheers

George

These are the perfect bits for any small project. I used them on my wooden jewelry. I've used them on regular ply wood, as well as cherry and walnut. The largest bit was perfect for my 22 gauge wire to fit into after drilling the holes. If you would like to see any of my jewelry visit: [...]

The 20pc MICRO-DRILL BITS INDEX 61-80 w/ Plastic Case is not a professional jewelers drill set, but is worth the price for a set of small bits to have around the workspace to drill micro holes as needed in plastic, wood, composite and soft metals. Drill slow and a little depth at a time with a little lube on metals for cooling, drop of oil worked fine for me, and don't force the press or the rotary tool. Pleanty good for the price.

took a minute or so to figure out how to access the drills (slide the clear cover to the right w/the tab on the right to line up the small hole at the top)...

even so, the first bit won't drop out no matter how hard i smack the box edge! perhaps stuck due to rust preventative? i'm gonna have to take the sucker apart and pray to Jeebus that i don't fling the kit-n-kaboodle all over the work bench!

The price is great and there is great diversity but the metal quality is low grade. I work with resin models and use moderate pressure which causes frequent shattering of the bit. They are OK for light usage but do dull out quickly.

The bits seem to be well made but are more brittle than I would like. I will admit the process for making them sharp and flexible would be very tough for bits this size. The case is poor as the bits slide around in it and the top is not attached and has to be snapped on each time. They work but I went through 3 bits the first day. Using them in a hobby type drill is tough and would be ok if it were in a drill press mount. Otherwise be prepared to brake a few bits each job. I will buy these again only if I can't find an alternative at a decent price.'
