It does the job and is a low profile device. I never like charging anything "in camera" because I don't like to leave my camera out and about, tethered to a cord plugged into my wall. This charger makes it easier to keep things "neat" as well as permits charging one battery while using the camcorder (assuming you have a spare battery). Sony BCTRV Travel Charger (Black)
Small and compact. Fits right into the plug. Battery fits perfect. Wish the lights were on top. Can't see them standing next to it to tell if it is fully charged. I guess you would hook it up to a kitchen outlet that is more eye level. Other than that, works great! I am happy i bought it. Used it several times already. Owned for 3 months.
AC cord in picture is not included in package. It is not needed, plugs directly into wall outlet. Prongs fold out of the way for easy portability. I appreciate its compact size and it will fit nicely into my small video bag. I have found that it will work OK with Sony "equivalent" batteries also. Three LED indicator shows level of charge.
Great item for traveling. It is easy to pop out and charge a battery while on the road along with an adapter for your car power terminal. Very compact and fits nicely in a small camera bag. Recommended for those who travel around with their camera.
This makes it so easy to charge the battery. I hate getting out the power cord and having to try to charge the battery while using the camera. It was always so ineffective. This makes it so much easier!
This little charger is great, it shows a 3 bar light graph to let you know where it is in the charge. The picture is wrong, it doesnt need that cord they show, it has folding prongs that plug into wall socket, this makes it compact. - Sony Battery Charger - Charger - Electronics'
