Hexbugs - bug, nano
Ben never tires of it. It scuttles in a realistic manner across the floor (vinyl, not carpet)realistically and he constantly invents things to do with it.or just leaves it on to seek its own destiny.
It's durable and not particulrly hard on batteries. There is a downside. If the child is too young the tiny toy will probably be lost. And changng the battery will be a problem if you're not up to unscrewing a very small screw (like used in eyeglass frames. There are sets of very small screwdrivers aroun cheaply. Get a set. These hexbug batteries were purchased to use if/when the original batteries in the hexbugs die. I cannot rate the durability as I did not open and test the batteries and they are still in the storeage packet.
For Christmas, I bought two the hex bugs, one a crab and the other a beetle. The crab works fine, the beetle would just move one or two legs, but would not work. I bought extra batteries and switched them out to no avail. I had tossed the receipt, so it could not be returned. The family found them "interesting" but not more than that. We were disappointed that the cats found no interest in them. I don't think they are worth the money. - Nano - Bug - Battery'
