travel alarm clock - travel alarm clock

This does exactly when an alarm clock should do - wake you up - without a lot of bells and whistles. The alarm tone is not annoying like the electronic types, you can see the numbers in the dark, and it folds to protect the face when you travel. The only difficulty is setting the alarm because you have to turn this teeny wheel, but that is not enough to take off a star. Someone more creative could think of an easy way to do it. I wake up at the same time during the week, and on the weekends I sleep in, so it has been set to 6:00 since I got it. This is a very reliable clock and you don't have to worry about the electricity being out. Maybe that would be an excuse for getting to work late, but this trusty little clock does its job for those who like to be on time! Seiko Travel Alarm Clock Charcoal Grey Matte Case

Bought this for my wife and she hates it. It replaced the classic Braun square-box, black travel alarm clock, and when compared to it, this Seiko is a piece of junk according to my wife.

The Seiko is made with thin plastic, so it has a cheap feel to it.

The clam-shell design, while sleek and provides a cover over the clock face while packed and serves as the base when opened, causes it to topple over anytime you brush by it, for exampe, when putting it back down on the table in the dark -- it will mostly just topple over.

The good part is that the time hands have a bit of flouresent glow, and the minute mechanism is mostly quiet. A competing clock from Casio was noted as being a bit noisy as the minute mechanism can apparently be heard. My older travel clock also has a distinct minute hand movemnet noise so the Seiko is nice & quiet.

The new Braun is over priced ($60 +) so the Seiko is the only choice. - Travel Alarm Clock'
