this wire is excellent! IT IS EXTREMELY THICK and is made of high quality metal. it supply's plenty of power to my amp. i accidentaly lost my fuse that came with it and the people at schose were kind enough to send me a replacment one but they were even nicer to send me TWO fuses!! also the telephone person isn't based out of India they are american and are extremely helpful. A lot of wiring kits on the market lie about the wire gauge. You end up getting less wire and more insulation. NOT with Schosche. The wire is true gauge but also has a good amount of insulation. The power wire has an extra layer of insulation to protect the portion that goes from your battery to your firewall. They also provide a sealing grommet to prevent leaks through your firewall. Excellent product.
this was the best kit i could find for the $ for a single amp. it has everything you need. I used this and a rockford kit for my 2 amps, and i consider rockford only slightly higher in quality compared to this kit. I do like the RF kit alot better since it came with more stuff. So if you are on a budget this is for you, if you could have extra money (about $30 more) and plan on adding an amp get the RFK4D rockford kit which comes with 2 distro blocks and 2 RCA cables. This will be a better value in the long run and you wont need to buy separate parts.
I searched around a lot, and I was worried about buying a 4 gauge kit that wouldn't be "true" 4 gauge, i.e., it would not subscribe to the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard. This kit does! It was also a great price and very high quality. I would definitely recommend this kit if you are installing a power-hungry multi-channel or mono block amp. It may not look as snazzy as the expensive Streetwires or Stinger kits, but most of the cabling will be out of sight anyways! The power cable even comes with a nice protective mesh on the outside of the cable for the section that will be in the engine compartment.
