This little guy is unquestionably the greatest stapler I've ever owned! Unlike other models I've used in my life, this baby has never jammed, nor has it ever mangled a staple into an unusable shape. It even has a convenient staple-remover horn on the back part of the base for those moments when I need the pages separated, rather than together. And there's even a little storage space in the base, right underneath the plastic cover. Although it's meant to house an extra cartridge of staples, I use it as a cash-stash in case an unexpected emergency should occur. Better safe than sorry, I always say...Speaking of staples: unlike Swingline's preceding Cub series of mini-staplers, this model takes standard-size staples. I bought this stapler on a whim after seeing it at Target for only $2. We have a full-sized stapler at home, be we keep it in our "office" upstairs, and I was tired of having to run up and get it every time I needed a quick staple job. The tiny size of this stapler is perfect, as it tucks neatly into one of my kitchen drawers. Despite it's small size, however, it's quite a powerful little stapler! I've never tested it to see exactly how much paper it can handle, but on the other hand, I've also never had it jam or otherwise fail to perform. The stapler is lightweight yet sturdy, and the best thing about it is that it takes regular, STANDARD size staples--no need to purchase a specialty size! This would be a great stapler for kids (my sister bought one for my niece), but be sure to buy at least one for yourself too. Highly recommended!
This cute little stapler came with a full box of staples. I keep it in a kitchen drawer for light stapling duty (receipts and the like).
The problem I've had with using mine is that it seems to jam easily. The design is such that a misaligned staple clogs falls down and clog the exit, requiring it to be unloaded, dislodged (sometimes pried) and re-loaded.
I've had this problem with cheapo staplers in the past, but never with a swingline. I guess for $4 I shouldn't expect a lot of performance though.
I like how this stapler is very small and can fit in my pocket or purse, and yet it is surprisingly sturdy and able to staple through a thick stack of papers.
Before I bought the stapler, I thought the Storage Compartment sounded like a cheesy waste of space, but it turns out it doesn't really make the stapler any bulkier and many times I've been glad I have a stash of extra staples when the main compartment ran out of staples.
I bought this to keep in my bag for meetings. It is small, compact and even has a staple remover in it. It came with a box of staples so I haven't had to buy replacements yet. I hope it is easy to find them. It works great and I love having one for when I need and paperclip just won't do.
I got fuschia, which I'm not crazy about- I really wanted a stapler in blue. But this had good reviews, and they're deserved. This was inexpensive, came w/ a bunch of staples & it works exactly as described. It's small enough to fit in the zippered pocket of my "Office in a Bag", which a folio that has a handle, in which a 3-ring binder is placed. This was a great addition to my OIAB, which I utilize daily to keep envelopes, paper clips, pens, thank-you notes, etc., in one place. I get to accomplish things while I'm waiting in a doctor's office, on my lunch break at work, or when I have spare time on the weekend. Very glad I invested in this, as it staples smoothly & easily. Good to keep paperwork neat while on the go.
I carry this stapler around in case I need one in class, but have a larger and more expensive stapler at home. This little guy is rather decent, no doubting that, but does have a tendency to jam when I am stapling more than seven pages together (which happens weekly due to lab reports). However, I am overall satisfied with this as a small stapler.'
