Dslr Bag - slr bag, dslr bag
Ordered this to carry my Canon T1i when I go out and don't want to carry a big bag of equipment with me. Fits perfectly with a 50mm lens attached. Pockets big enough for memory cards and extra battery but don't expect to fit much else in it. Strap is comfortable and bag provides adequate protection for a low profile design. Perfect for when I go out to eat and take my camera or just for a walk around the park. Ape Case Small SLR Holster Camera Bag ACPRO600
I ordered this bag for my Canon t1i. The bag looks nice but I had to return it for these 3 reasons:
1. It is too small to fit my camera with the strap of the camera. You need to fold the strap across the lens every time which is not comfortable. Moreover, you need to use only 18-55 lens with this bag.
2. The pockets are small; you can not fit the battery charger and other accessories.
3. The bag shoulder strap was damaged.
This case works great for Nikon D3100 with Nikkor 18-55 lens. Bag looks durable and it's well done. This is why I like it:
-well padded,
- it has front and interior pockets for accessories such as additional memory card; outside front pocket will fit battery,
- there is attached but hidden rain protection cover,
- bright interior,
- detachable shoulder strap allows to wear the camera on the arm or messenger style; it is also padded with little plastic/rubber dots that help to keep pad in place,
- there is also attachment for belt on the back of the case.
Overall good quality and perfect for me as I wanted small case. The only minus is that it could be an inch higher to fit camera strap, but thanks to double ended zipper the strap can hang outside.
This case fits my camera Sony Alpha SLTA33L snuggly. With the 18-55 kit lens and a camera strap attached the case closes with some moderate (not excessive) effort. We tend to use this bag to put into a diaper bag when going to the park, etc. with our toddler. With a camera in the bag, you could maybe fit a few SD cards in there but an extra battery might take some creative measures and would be too close for comfort to the camera.
If you don't expect to take extra accessories with you or a large lens (kit lens works fine), this is a great quality compact padded bag for day trips. If you need the room, I would look elsewhere!
From the description and photo, the bag appears to be large enough to accomodate a small slr camera and very few accessories - seemingly perfect for a quick grab and shoot moment. But, the bag will not accomodate the small by comparison Sony A330 with18-55 lens.
Returned and bought another larger case.
By comparison to some other bags, the Ape case seemed a bit flimsy, although the bag is lightweight and the strap is superior to many more expensive bags.
This little bag is perfect at what it does. Not too big, not too small. There's a perfect amount of padding and just the right amount of space for a medium-sized DSLR camera with a lens. The little pockets inside are great for a flash card or an infrared bulb. Throw this bag over your shoulder or toss it into a backpack, and you're off!
If you just need a camera bag that is small holster for SLR then this is for you. All I can say is if you need one that can fit a larger then default size 55mm lens then you will want to go with a bigger Ape Case. These guys know how to make great affordable camera bags.
This holster was a suggested accesory to the Nikon 3100 with the 18-55 optics. However, the holster is an inch too shallow.I just dont like the optics resting on the bottom of the holster, while trying to zip the lid. That was effort comparable to fitting a body size40 into clothes size36. Apart from that, it seems to be robust enough to safely accomodate smaller cameras. - Slr Bag - Canon - Dslr Bag'
