Im sure its a personal preference, but the silicone face pieces seem to me to be more comfortable, better sealing and cooler wearing. This is a really nice mask with large exhalation vent and good suspension.
one note: I ordered the large size and even though I'm a blockhead its almost too big; unless you are really a meathead you might want to try sizes at local store before you order the largest size.

Been using this for the several months and it is great. Perfect fit with a very good seal, and comfortable enough I can wear it for hours without it getting annoying.
