I have had poor luck with rain suits in the past; either they are too thin, or leaky. This unit seems very well put together, heavy rubber, solid joints..... The hood is detachable which is a plus when it gets in the way, and there is a large vent in the back so you dont make yourself all wet instead of the rain.
