I bought this mat to hold a mat that came without a carry strap, of course. I give it two stars because although we are using it, it couldn't be used as seen
in the picture. We have a 1/2 inch thick mat and it won't fit around it, so dispite the claim, it won't fit any size mat. With the approximately 6 inch gap, it probably wouldn't fit any mat thicker than a 1/4 inch thick. I had to hook one side to the opposite side so that my daughter could use it in some way until I can find another. Disappointed. I bought a second strap and will try hooking the two together. I used this once and one of the straps keeps coming undone. The plastic buckle wont grab the strap. The teeth are not catching the material to stop it from slipping. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone! Don't wast your money!
I wanted a strap/sling to hold my yoga mat; nothing fancy, just something durable. This does the job and for under $6 it's a deal. The part that goes over the shoulder isn't adjustable but the straps that hold the mat in place do, which was the primary reason I bought it. Many of the slings I was looking at used Velcro and didn't seem very practical for thinner mats. Regardless of what mat you have this strap will work. Additionally I like that it's not adorned with flowery prints or logos. Just a blue nylon strap.'
