Kindle 3 Cover - kindle covers, kindle 3 cover

I used M-Edge covers exclusively for my old Kindle, and loved them. They were very sturdy, and very well made with quality suede, cloth, and excellent stitching.

So, I ordered an M-edge cover along with my new Kindle 3. Unfortunately, the quality seems to have dropped from their old covers. Both the suede and cloth are inferior to the old covers. The old covers used to be plush where as the new ones are made of a rougher material, and the suede inside is definitely not as thick or soft. Mine even had hard bits of glue that would have rubbed my screen, so I had to rub them off, leaving little bald spots.

The bottom leather bands were also creased and needed to be thinner (they partially cover the Up Arrow key and the Back key).

That said, it's still snug around my Kindle, lightweight, and functional. Definitely not as great as the old covers (which I would have recommended over any other covers). Not sure if I'd buy another, but they're okay.

The pink is more reddish than the picture, and actually fairly attractive. M-Edge Trip Kindle Jacket, Black (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle)

This is the first review I have written for a product purchased through Amazon. I was disappointed with the cover when I received it. The black cover picked up everything, dust, pet hair, or any residue on your hands. It is very difficult to clean. The cover makes it almost impossible to turn the switch on the bottom on and off. The stiching is of poor quality and the inside of the cover is splitting from the outside where the elastic attaches. The attachment for the strap that holds the cover closed leaves a grove in the cover and is out of alignment on the back. It looks like this item was rushed without concern for quality. For $35.00, I expect it to at least hold together and allow you to operate the Kindle while it is enclosed in the cover.

I just received the M-Edge Trip Kindle Jacket for my new Kindle 3G, and without a doubt, I can say that I am very satisfied with this product. The straps snuggly hold the Kindle in place, the whole case feels well made and comfortable in the hand, with a slightly padded front and back to protect it from falls. The Moleskine-like elastic band keeps it closed (or open when reading) and the interior is made out of a material that keeps the Kindle well-protected. It is also much smaller than most cases out there, making it much more portable. As a side note, I also purchased the M-Edge eLuminator 2 lighting peripheral, and it's complementary design, long battery life, and dual-brightness settings make it perfect for nighttime reading. This is really THE ONLY CASE worth considering on the market currently (and no, I am not being paid by M-Edge to say that). Overall, two thumbs up.

This case is super-slim and lightweight. And it's bright so I can always see it in my purse. It does its job to protect the Kindle, but if you're looking for full protection, this doesn't completely encase it...i.e. it wouldn't protect it from rain or something spilling in your bag. For me, that's not an issue. I like how the Kindle fits snugly into the case, and it kind of even feels like I'm holding a book when I have the case open. I definitely recommend this case.

Love this cover! The booklight pocket (for M-Edge's light) is on the right outside, which leaves the light protruding quite a bit. I just stuck it between the Kindle & the back cover & it stays just fine.

Really like the compact size, adds very little weight to my K3, strap keep it from popping open in my bag making me feel it's more secure. An earlier reviewer advised to prop it sideways with the elastic band which I did & voila! It works as a hands-free device now! Of course, have to change the page setting to landscape but it's perfect for reading during meals.

I have this in black which I liked at first as it matches my Graphite K3, but now I'm wanting a different color. Would like to sell but Amazon charges so much fees! If anyone wants buy this from me for $25, pls let me know.

In regards to functionality, this does it's job & I'm satisfied with this jacket.

When I bought this I didn't read carefully enough that it was canvas. I just saw that it had the elastic loop and was happy to find something like that as I really liked my K1 cover that came with it.

I really like the styling of this cover, it's very striking and bold. It holds my kindle in place very securely and the elastic holds the cover back while I am reading which is a nice bonus.

I really like the the M-Edge reading light and how nicely it fits into the case and how it has such a small profile along the side of the case when it's closed.

My main issue with the case is pretty huge - It seriously attracts every single cat hair in my house! It also attracts dust and feathers from my comforter. I feel like I need to take dust roller to it once a week! This makes it really look cheap. And when put next to my parents leather cases, it looks very cheap - even next to my free K1 case it looks cheap and that was fake leather! - Kindle 3 Cover - Kindle Covers - M-edge - Cover'
