Electronic Learning Toys - electronic learning toys, e book reader

Purchased the system and case for my grandaughter's fifth birthday.

Pro

Case semi-hard shell should provide decent protection to the system.

Made specifically for the V.Reader - (no other fitted case available)

Cons

- The sleeves for the cartridges are a cloth mesh that is NOT see-through. You have to remove the cartridge to see which one it is.

- The zipper was very hard to open or close around the corners of the case. I had a bottle of clear liquid silicone lubricant (purchased at a sewing store) and used that on the zipper. Made it work a bit easier. Grandaughter was unable to make the zipper work before I did that.

-The V.Reader comes with a usb cord for downloading books from the internet. There is NO STORAGE SPACE available in the case for the cord. V.Reader Animated E-Book System Storage Tote

I read some of the other reviews and was reluctant to purchase this bag. I needed a storage system for my son's new v-reader so I took a chance. I do not understand some of the bad reviews because we have three books, the computer cord and the v-reader in the bag and have had no trouble closing the tote. It is durable and my son love carrying around his new v-reader. The case is hard around the body so it provide ample protection for the system. My son has already dropped it and I was not worried about any damage.

If you didn't get the backpack when you got the V Reader, it is a must. Nicely fits up to 6 e book cassetes and offers protection and convenience while travelling. Fit comfortably and it is very well made.

My 3yo received a Vreader and this case for Christmas. While the case is nice to hold the vreader itself and will hold game cartrdges, it does not hold the accessories.

Benefits

Soft/Hard case protects Vreader

Adjustable backpack straps allow her to have her own backpack (so exciting for a kid who doesn't go to school yet)

Holds up to 8 game cartridges OR extra AA batteries also fit in the pockets- which is good because the VRreader EATS batteries

Loop on the top allows the bag to be hung up and out of reach when not in use

Drawbacks-

There is nowhere to store any cord. We have both a car charger and an AC adapter for in the house (again, the battery situation) on top of the USB plug that is needed to download content and there is just no way to make them fit in there at all.

The case does NOT prevent the device from being turned on. The power button frequently is pressed by the zipper that closes the bag.

Overall, we like the carrier- it keeps the vreader safe when we're on the move and out of the way when its not in use but it could really have been made better to carry some of the other essentials. - Vtech - E Book Reader - Electronic Learning Toys - Storage Case'
