Brother Toner Cartridge - toner, toner cartridge

My complaint isn't with the technical quality of the toner cartridge or the quality of the prints. But the person on here who suggested covering up the two windows on the cartridge to get more life out of it was absolutely correct. My printer stopped working because it was "out of toner," so I ordered a new toner cartridge. After reading the suggestion, I took two pieces of black electrical tape and covered the round windows on either side of the old cartridge. I have since gotten more than 200 perfect prints out of an "empty" printer cartridge. Perfect prints as in NO fading, NO streaks! I am putting my new cartridge on the shelf and waiting to break it out until the print quality on my "empty" cartridge finally starts to deteriorate.

Update: 300+ pages on the "empty" toner cartridge and still going strong. Brother TN330 Black Toner Cartridge

The product was $15.00 cheaper here, with free shipping. I would put non-clear tape over the clear windows on the toner to fully use up the ink in the cartridge. I did this and have not even opened the new one up yet and that was about 1.5 months ago.

After printing less than 1000 pages I got the message that cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced. Absolutely dissappointed (package said 1300 or 1500 pages) I started reading reviews here on Amazon. Thank you very much to whoever suggested covering up little clear circles on the sides of the cartridge. I did it and since then I got 300+ more pages out of my "empty" cartridge, and it's still going strong without even a bit of fading. I guess that's how Brother makes more money out of it by people bying new cartridges without questioning. Shame on the company, but nevertheless it's a good quality product, and price on Amazon is much lower than any supply store.

This is an excellent printer for anyone who prints a lot of black and white documents. If you put a piece of black tape over the little windows on the sides, you can get 3000 pages out of this $30 cartridge, which is 1 cent per page. This is by far the lowest cost per page of any printer on the market, with some HP models running at 20 cents per page and the average ink jet printer at around 13 cents a page. Our ink purchase cost in our business went from $200/month down to $30/month.

It's a toner cartridge what else is there to say. Take out old one attach your drum and re-install into printer. It is NEW not a refill or reconditioned for re-sale. It was factory sealed by Brother.

The reviewers on here are awesome! My toner light was flashing and I was checking the site to find the lowest price for a new one. Instead I found the comments about extending the life of the old toner. IT WORKS! All you have to do is pull out your toner and cover the round window on the right side with dark tape and print away! Amazon reviewers are the best!!!!!

There is no way this cartridge prints 1500 pages, even on low print quality. I will never buy another Brother product again. I wish I had read the online reviews before buying the printer and cartridge at Best Buy.

I ordered a geniune Brother TN360 toner and got a "Premium Laser Toner Cartridge" remanufactured TN360 toner from Tiger Toner. That is not right. Amazon better get rid of this seller or I am done with Amazon!

Bought this toner for my HL-2140 at $15 cheaper than I would have paid at an office supply store. Ordering was quick and easy and the product works great!

However, it is true that putting darkened tape over the clear "windows" on either side of a reportedly "empty" toner cartridge will cause it to mysteriously "find" enough toner to print nearly another ream of paper, 300-400 or more pages with no quality degradation such as streaking or fading. Do this to your old cartridge before replacing it with the one you are buying, and you'll be happy (or angry?) to see your new one sit, unopened, while you continue using up your old cartridge for the next two months. - Laser Printer Ink - Toner - Brother Tn360 - Toner Cartridge'
