Lake Raft - inflatable boat, inflatable boats
Used twice on the beach for fishing. Is really meant to hold 2 adults with barely enuff space to hold yr gear. Hasn't leaked yet, is light and easy to transport, is hard to manoeuvere in the water though; tends to spin around in circles. Make sure to get the oars and pump also; easier to inflate and deflate. use only in calm waters. Sevylor Caravelle 3-Person Inflatable Boat
I don't believe that I am qualified to review this product in the abstract - I have experience with only one other such product, a Sevylor Caravelle 2-person boat that I bought about ten or 15 years ago. Really, really loved that thing, but it finally started developing some leaks (it went a decade or more without so much as a single one, and it got dragged around a good bit), and I decided to replace it with something a bit larger. To be fair to the manufacturer, the holes that it developed may have been the result of our addition to our family of a little dog (who, I just realized, has surprising sharp toenails), rather than any deterioration in the materials, but I just don't know.
Anyway, the new one ... it is larger than the 2-person that I had previously (a slightly different model), but not quite as much as I'd hoped. It is still a bit cramped with the three of us, and the dog, but that is what I said about the 2-person, too. Mrsmousepotato, on the other hand, thinks it is a lot larger.
The materials may be slightly lighter, but I am not sure about that. They still seem adequately durable, and held up just fine for the four or five days we have used it thus far. Per my scale it weighs just about nine pounds without the rope, the oars, or anything else, which is only a few pounds heavier than the old 2-person Caravelle. It is still light enough that I was able to put it on top of my backpack and drag it up a very, very steep 1,000-foot ascent (in one mile) to an alpine lake.
The construction is just as good. Not a leak anywhere. Held air just fine. Aesthetically pleasing work. Nice, even seams, well cut pieces, etc.
This one has an inner chamber that circles the entire inside. The old one had only two long chambers on each side. I guess that is an advantage if the outer chamber loses air as it seems like just the inner chamber alone would suffice to keep one afloat and dry; however, I also think that it reduces the interior volume of the vessel a bit.
The valves are both better and worse. The old one had valves just like what you'd find on a cheap beach ball, but they worked just fine for me (I had to put a small stick inside to hold that flap thingie open when deflating), and were better in that one could depress them after inflation so that the tops were below the surface to which they were mounted. The new ones are heavier duty and operate on a different principal, which has advantages and disadvantages, none of which are particularly significant, except that they stick up somewhat and are prone to being dislodged and opened when shifting weight, items, and feet while the boat is in use. Not a big deal (if you're paying attention), but overall, I really think that the cheap old beach ball valves were better.
This one comes with a built-in pressure gauge that looks cool, but is kinda inscrutable in operation. I still am not entirely sure if it was telling me to add pressure or release pressure, or really just how accurate it is. Better than nothing, I guess.
This one is not quite as easy to row on account of the placement of the oarlocks. Again, I am not qualified to say whether or not the oarlocks are located in exactly the 'correct' position (I have to defer to the experts at and expertise of Sevylor in that), but I can say that the old one was slightly easier to row (easier to get the paddles up out of the water), I believe on account of the oarlocks being placed slightly higher on the gunwales.
And, finally, this one is not quite as 'stiff' as the old one. I used to inflate the old one such that it was almost as rigid as if it were made of wood. Seriously. I could just about stand on the bow of it without the fabric being depressed at all. Keep in mind that I really did not have a clue about what I was doing, and I may well have been overinflating it to absolutely eye-poppingly dangerous pressures, but I can say that it did, in fact, hold up well for a decade or more. The new one is not like this; it is quite a bit more flexible and spongy, but I filled it by using, not my old method of blowing and blowing as hard as I could until my cheeks hurt and spots appeared in front of my eyes and I passed out cold, but by reference to the built-in gauge, which may well indicate that a proper inflation pressure is substantially less that what I had thought theretofore. Without the gauge, I most certainly would have added more pressure (and more, and more) and, thus, greater stiffness and stability, perhaps at the danger of overinflating it, but that was never, as I said, a problem with the old Caravelle.
Reading this, one might get the impression that I don't like or recommend this boat, but I think it deserves five stars because it is a quality product, and it is what it is; and the only negatives I can think of to say about it is that I, personally, liked my old boat better. (Wah.) Mrsmousepotato, on the other hand, likes this one better because of the larger size, and she feels its a bit safer due to the larger inner chamber. My 11-year-old daughter, whose opinion doesn't count, thinks it is easier to row.
We refer to our inflatable boats as our "yachts" on our HUGE family vacation. All the little ones (and big ones) had so much floating around and paddling in the ocean. They are easy to transport and to inflate and are sturdy so last from year to year. Really a lot of fun on the beach.
Bought to use to get to a motor boat kept on a mooring in Lake Superior. It works very well for that purpose and for rides with the grandkids. Choppy waters on the big lake can make it a challenge to steer, - Sevylor - Inflatable Boat - Fishing - Inflatable Boats'

Toro Electric Leaf Blower - electric lawn mower, extension cords
The description for this extension cord says it's 13Amp. It's not. It's 10amp. Coleman's cords of 0-50 feet are 13Amps, and 50-100 feet are 10Amps. This is a problem if you wanted to use the cord to run something like a leafblower, as I did. Coleman Cable 02308 16/3 Vinyl Outdoor Extension Cord, Orange, 50-Feet
I suggest you think about the purpose of the cord before you purchase! I was simply buying this for the garage to use with my drill/sander/screwdriver/dremmel workbench stuff, and quickly realized I could have saved money and gotten the 50 or 25 ft. i gave it a 4, because the description doesn't say much about what the product is best used for, length and gauge(thickness) wise.
The 100ft cord would be perfect for outdoor electric garden tools: light lawnmower/weedwacker/leaf blower, but mine are gas and i won't be switching until they die in the years to come... also remember the 16 gauge wire is on the lighter end of the "heavy-dutyness scale" if you know what i mean. if you plan to power fat tools like compressors, tablesaws, or generators, investing in 12 or 10 gauge wire is definitely worth it.
amazon's current best selling 12 gauge wire: Coleman Cable 02589 12/3 100-Foot Vinyl Outdoor Extension Cord, Yellow
amazon's current best selling 10 gauge wire:Woods 2991 Yellow Jacket 50-Foot 10/3 SJTW Yellow Power Cord with T-Blade Plug 20 Amp/125 Volt Rated with PowerLite Plug
The description states that this is a 13amp cord - but it is only 10amp!! It says so on the product packaging, as well as the manufacturer's item description page (item 02309, 100ft 16/3):
[...].
BE VERY CAREFUL when plugging into heavy electrical devices!
I got 15, and 50 foot versions of these cables, and I think they are great, price can't be beat! Some reviews say that it's a 10amp cable, but that's only if you got the 100 foot, so buy 2 50-foot cables, at current prices it's cheaper anyway. All the others are 13amp as advertised. Don't hesitate to buy these. They are all UL Listed and work just like any other extension cable.
Update: Note that these cords fade pretty quick in the sunlight. I put them out with my Christmas lights, and after just a month on the lawn, I can tell them apart from my other cables, because now they are yellowish on the sunny side instead of orange. They still work fine though.
It's odd that this is my first official review on Amazon.com, when I've purchased so much (really, so so so very much) from Amazon over the years. So when I was invited to review this extension cord, I figured why not. The reviews are what I've come to value the most from Amazon.com.
I'm very pleased with my Coleman Outdoor Extension Cable. I've purchased a couple, and use them outside in my backyard to connect lights, outdoor appliances, and the like. I have no complaints. The cord has been working perfectly all summer without incident, and can take a beating too! I have 3 dogs, one of whom is a Dalmatian, and these cords still look brand new. A great buy. - Electric Lawn Mower - Electric Blower - Electric Leaf Blower - Extension Cords'

Cell Phone Battery
I thought I was buying Motorola batteries to replace my existing battery. these are not! They last less than half a day to a charge even without calling . Yes they were cheap(inexpensive) and cheap (worthless) Wireless Technologies Li-Ion Battery for Motorola RAZR V3
I got it because my wife's battery kept dying when I needed to call her so I thought I'd keep a backup charged that she could put in her phone in the morning.
Well, it only lasted a few hours (with one or two short calls) and died. I charged it carefully two more times and tried it with the same results. Now I've got a little block of poisonous chemicals that I can't even get rid of. What a !@#$% waste.
I was excited to get a battery for such a low price, but then I was reminded that you get what you pay for. The Battery doesn't fit in the phone quite as well as the OEM battery, and when the battery is in the phone it sometimes loses power.
I bought this battery from Amazon using Prime, hoping that the chances of getting a reputable product were improved. They were not. This was a complete waste of money. I charged the battery when received for over 24 hours. I disconnected the phone from the charger the second evening; before morning, the battery was completely discharged. WITHOUT A SINGLE CALL, THE BATTERY DISCHARGED IN LESS THAN 10 HOURS! Save yourself the aggravation -- and the money. If I could give zero stars, I would do it.
Outstanding Value and Product...I thought my phone was done...and I really was not ready to change just yet...too many new choices and some that are even better soon to arrive. This battery made the old RAZR V3 like new again.'

Good Quality - good quality, caller id
I purchased this phone after having two AT&T corded phones fail after only one year. Since I tried to avoid AT&T products after having such a bad experience, there were few choices with the features I was looking for (speaker phone, caller ID, large display). So far the Uniden seems pretty good, especially with the nice large display which can be tilted for best viewing angle. The only negative is you can't speak to loudly into the receiver or there will be distortion. Seems the microphone can't handle loud voices too well. It's kind of a minor thing, but can be annoying at times. Other than that, it's attractive and has some nice features. Uniden Desktop Corded Telephone (1360BK) (Black)
This phone has been well received in my workplace due to the large LCD screen and great speaker phone. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a voicemail light for analog phone systems that have that capability.
I really like this phone. I can hear well, it is easy to use, easy to install. I bought a longer cord, and really the only complaint I have is I wish that the caller ID would light up when the phone rings or reviewing who called. I am quite satisfied with this phone and would highly recommend it.
I had high hopes for this phone. I have cordless GE phones and wanted one to use for working from home. I loved the idea of speakerphone and mute. My cordless ones have this but sometimes the sound quality sucks. Well, everything on this phone works great, except the speakerphone.
I tried calling 4 different people and they have said that it cuts out and I sound like I am on a cell phone with bad reception. I can hear them great, they just can't hear me. Aside from that, everything else seems ok.
I ordered two of these for my home offices. One was defective right out of the box, in that the handset didn't work, though the speakerphone worked. Amazon sent a replacement promptly. Now the second one stopped working a week past the return window date. Skip this phone if you're shopping for a reliable replacement for a GE or other brand. Uniden isn't the one.
After a recent power outage, we discovered that cordless phones go out with the electric power. We purchased this phone primarily as a back-up phone should we ever loose power in the future. This phone works very well. Large font screen makes reading it easy. Speaker phone is clear and undistorted. Uses AA batteries and can be mounted on wall or used as desk phone. For the price, this is a great corded phone.
Even if you dont use the answering machine model, for 3 bucks more get that one because it comes with an ac transformer to keep the memory instead of batteries. This of course is provided you have an outlet by your phone!
Bought it to replace a GE phone and it was an immediate upgrade over a much more expensive phone. Superb bang for the buck. Only minor flaws are that the speaker button should be towards the front of the phone rather than towards the back and that the buttons are a little too far apart (however this may just take getting used to as my old phone had them close together). Speaker works great and overall it is very user friendly. I use the phone a ton for my business and I was worried about the transition, but no problems. - Uniden Phone - Caller Id - Telephone - Good Quality'

Best Waffle Maker - waffle, waffle iron
I've had this waffle maker for several years and it makes THE BEST waffles! They are crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth moist on the inside. It also is great for people who don't have a lot of space in their kitchen. It stands upright for storage. Also, what makes this waffle maker rate above others is the fact that it is VERY easy to clean! Other waffle irons can be hard to clean because the batter will ooze out and into little hard to reach spots and then you have to wait for it to cool and try to wipe it out somehow. I've owned other waffle makers before that did this. There's still dried out, old batter from places that were impossible to clean out! The Proctor Silex one does not have this problem. I practically don't even have to clean it! After I'm done, I'll wipe it gently with a paper towel, and that's about it! This combined with the fact that the Proctor Silex waffle maker also makes better waffles than other brands makes this the best one on the market.
Well, we wanted waffles and that's what we got with this waffle maker. It works as advertised. Nothing fancy here. Plug it in, make the batter and by the time your done mixing the batter, the ready light is off and you pour your first waffle. Takes about 4 minutes per waffle and they come out moist on the inside and crispy on the outisde. And they dont stick. I don't use any spray or butter on the non-stick surfaces. So, we are happy with our waffles.
UPDATE 11/8/09: It's been eight years and this waffle maker is still going strong. We use it about once a week and it has never failed to delight us with great waffles. And it's easy to clean too.
This is a great basic waffle iron. It does have an indicator light to tell you when it's ready for the batter. I've seen other irons with timers or lights to indicate when the waffles are done, but I've used this one dozens of times and never burned a waffle yet. The non stick surface is easy to clean and the waffles turn out perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I actually use this much more than I thought I would...the kids love them!
I bought this exact waffle maker more than 10 years ago, and it's still working! We use it about 2-3 times a week, and it has cooked well over 4,000 waffles. This is a big statement to quality, in my opinion, in a world where almost all products are manufactured to break just after their warranty ends. My model doesn't have any fancy bells and whistles -- just a light to indicate when it's heating, no settings other than "on" and "off" via plugged in or not, and crispness level is achieved by how much time you leave the waffle in the maker. But, given how these bells and whistles like to break on other gadgets, simplicity is sometimes better. If you want a good, simple waffle maker, this one is great.
My only complaint in all the time I've used it is the white part (the main body) gets hot when in use. I've actually used the closed waffle iron to melt chocolate wafers in a small glass dish set on top the iron (see how it's abused, poor thing!). It's never been hot enough to cause a burn, though. If I put my hand on it, it's hot, I take my hand off, end of story. I've never considered it to be a safety issue even with children. By virtue of proximity, the blue handle sometimes gets a bit warm as well, though not as warm as the white part. I've not had experience with other waffle makers, but it would make sense to me that the body of the iron gets hot, so I hesitate to even call this a flaw.
The only reason I'm even on Amazon looking for a new iron right now is because this one is just about worn out. There's a small crack in the back (my fault for dropping it, but yes, it has still worked for many years after that accident), and the spring connecting the two halves popped out from its channel in the hinge (again, probably due to dropping it on my part). Plus, after so many years the iron has lost its non-stick properties, and there's gummy residue in places where I can't reach it from so much use. But, all in all, these are minor issues -- for a waffle iron that's been through 10 years of very hard work in our family, it's unbelievable how it's held up. Even after I replace it, I'll keep this one in my cupboard, because I just can't part with it.
This waffle maker was purchased to replace a bigger, more expensive model & brand. It costs much less than the "other" model and is by far the better appliance to own & use. It is soooo much easier to clean with no nooks & crannies for batter to get into; the owners manual contains more detailed information for the novice waffle maker and it makes PERFECT waffles each and every time. There's even a well surrounding the waffle iron griddle to catch any over-spillage so the unit remains clean even when over-filled. The only advantage to the more expensive model was that it pre-heated to cooking temperature a little bit faster, but truth be told, there is still dried batter in areas of the expensive model that simply cannot be reached for removal. We used the expensive model twice before buying this replacement and have used it almost daily since it arrived and it's still CLEAN! There are tons of waffle recipes online so breakfast is never boring. Just goes to show that more expensive isn't ALWAYS better! - Waffle Maker - Waffle Iron - Waffle Irons - Waffle - Belgian Waffle - Belgian'

Digital Camera - canon, photography
The Canon Rebel T3i takes the consumer level dSLR a couple steps closer to the mid-level Canon 60D with the addition of the rotating rear LCD screen, remote flash firing, and in-camera processing features. The already highly competent, older Rebel T2i already shared many important features with the 60D (and even features of the semi-pro 7D) including the 18 MP sensor, 63-zone exposure metering system, high ISO performance, HD movie capabilities, and Digic 4 image processor. With these new upgrades, it might make it even more difficult to choose between them. But there are some important differences.
If you are considering the Rebel T3i vs T2i, the Rebel T3i is replacing the T2i. Since both cameras share the same 18 megapixel sensor and Digic 4 processor, both the T2i and T3i will create images with exactly the same image quality, produce the same low light/ high ISO performance, shoot at 3.7 frames per second, and have nearly the same size and build quality. They are both offered with the same 18-55mm kit lens (with some minor cosmetic differences on the new T3i kit lens). The T3i is very slightly larger and heavier due to the addition of the rotating rear LCD monitor. And that is one of the biggest differences between the two cameras. Do you want and need a vari-angle rear screen or not? The other major difference is the ability of the T3i to remotely control multiple off-camera flashes. Like the 60D and 7D, you can use the built-in flash of the T3i to trigger other Canon Speedlites. Some other minor additions to the T3i include the Scene Intelligent Auto Mode, which is a feature borrowed from point and shoot cameras. When in Auto mode, the T3i will make a determination of what type of scene you are shooting - close-up, portrait, landscape, etc. - and automatically configure the camera settings accordingly. However, if you want to use a powerful and costly digital SLR as a point and shoot, you should probably save the money and just buy a nice, high quality point and shoot like the Canon S95. Other additional but not essential upgrades include the in-camera processing Creative Filters, and the ability to choose different image size ratios and to rate your images. (Helpful hint: press the Q Button while in image playback and you can access features like rating, rotating, and Creative Filters.) There is also a marginally helpful Feature Guide which gives brief descriptions of various settings and some additional video features like Video Snapshot, which you can use to shoot short video clips that are automatically joined together into a video, with music.
Canon Rebel T3i vs. 60D vs. 7D
Sensor and Image Quality: All three cameras share a very similar sensor and 18 megapixels, and so their image quality will be virtually the same. All are capable of taking professional quality images.
Exposure Metering: The three cameras all share the latest 63-zone, dual-layer exposure metering system and 4 metering modes. That means they will all determine the exposure virtually identically and enable you to take properly exposed photos in most every situation, including difficult back-lit scenes. The size of the areas metered for Partial and Spot metering vary slightly between the cameras, but that isn't anything critical.
Autofocus: The T3i shares a similar autofocus system to the 60D, with 9 focus points and three auto focusing modes. However the 9 AF points of the 60D are more sensitive than those of the T3i: all are cross-type in the 60D, only the center is cross-type in the T3i. The 60D autofocus system is much less complex than the sophisticated AF system of the 7D with its 19 AF point system and its additional Zone, Spot, and Expansion focus modes. These various modes address how you want to deal with and group the numerous AF points. Plus the custom settings of the 7D allow one to customize how the AF system works - how it tracks subjects, how it deals with objects that come between you and your initial subject, how quickly it responds to these changes of possible subjects that are at different distances from you, etc. However, if you are not an avid sports photographer, a wildlife shooter, or someone who understands, needs, and will use the elaborate features of the 7D AF system, then this shouldn't sway you.
Construction: As you can probably figure out from the prices, each camera is not built the same. The T3i has relatively strong construction of a stainless steel frame with polycarbonate body. The 60D has a stronger and lighter aluminum frame and polycarbonate body, but not as strong as the 7D's magnesium alloy construction. The 60D also has some amount of weather sealing - more than the T3i, less than the 7D. But for most users, including even those using the camera daily or in travel situations, the construction of any of these cameras is far more than good enough, strong enough, and durable enough.
ISO: Since they all share a very similar sensor, the ISO sensitivity and performance at high ISO settings is virtually the same for these three cameras. But don't take my word for it, don't be swayed by pixel peepers on forums, instead check out the camera sensor tests at dxomark to verify this. As you can see, they all share the exact same overall score, and show very similar performance.
Controls: As with construction, the buttons and controls vary with these cameras. Unlike the T3i, the 60D and 7D have nearly every control an advanced photographer needs on the exterior of the camera and they also have the top LCD panel and rear Quick Control Dial that are not on the T3i. With all the cameras, any controls can also be easily accessed with the Q Button and Q Menu or in the other menus on the rear LCD monitor. The top buttons of the 60D set only one setting each, so this is less complicated than the multiple-setting buttons of the 7D. Canon has removed the white balance (WB) button on the 60D that the 7D has, but that isn't a big deal - use the Q Menu. Another change on the 60D is that the Multi-controller has been moved from the thumb joystick like the 7D and 50D and placed in the middle of the rear Quick-control dial. This doesn't change how it functions, and should just be a matter of getting used to the difference. If you plan on using your camera on Auto or Program most of the time, then the controls of the T3i are more than sufficient for your needs. If you work in Av, Tv, or M modes and need quicker and more direct access to your controls and the additional top LCD screen to view and change your current settings, then you need to consider the 60D or 7D over the T3i.
Menus and Custom Functions: These allow for greater control over customizing how the camera functions. The T3i has less Menu and Custom Function setting options than the 60D, and the 7D has yet a few more than the 60D. These settings enable you to customize the operation, function, and controls to work how you want them to, including things like exposure increments, peripheral illuminations correction for lenses (fixes dark corners), tweaking how the autofocus system operates, setting more precise white balance settings, and customizing which button does what. There are ebooks such as my Canon T3i Experience - The Still Photographer's Guide to Operation and Image Creation With the Canon Rebel T3i / EOS 600D and Your World 60D - The Photographer's Guide to Operation and Image Creation with the Canon 60D which walk you through all of the Menu settings and Custom Function settings so that you can set up your camera to work best for how you photograph, and also begin to learn to master all the advanced features, settings, and controls of these powerful dSLR camera.
Wireless Flash: Like the 7D and 60D, the T3i incorporates wireless flash triggering. This allows you to trigger multiple off camera flashes at different output levels. The T2i does not have this feature.
Articulating LCD Screen: The big new feature that the 60D and T3i have that the 7D and T2i do not is the articulating rear LCD screen. This may prove useful for videographers, as well as for setting up compositions while the camera is on a tripod, for macro use, or for using it from unusually low or high vantage points. Some users will be able to avoid buying an expensive angle finder because of this feature. There is also an electronic level in the 7D and 60D, visible in the viewfinder, rear LCD, or top LCD.
Viewfinder: The T3i has a pentamirror viewfinder with 95% coverage of the actual resulting image. The 60D has a large, bright pentaprism viewfinder with 96% coverage, not quite as nice as the nearly 100% view of the 7D pentaprism.
Processor: The T3i shares the same Digic 4 processor as the 60D. The 7D has dual Digic 4 processors. However, if you don't need to shoot dozens of continuous images, you probably won't notice any processing speed issues.
Continuous Shooting Speed: The T3i can shoot 3.7 frames per second. The 7D can shoot a blazing 8 frames per second, in which the photos barely change from frame to frame. The 60D can shoot a respectable 5.3 fps which is actually a more useful rate. If you need the extremely high fps for sports, wildlife, or other action shooting, get the 7D. If not, don't be swayed by this excessive feature.
Memory Card: The T3i and 60D use the SD memory card. The 7D uses the CF card.
Battery: The T3i and T2i use the smaller LP-E8 battery with less capacity than the LP-E6 battery used by the 60D and 7D.
Size and Weight: The T3i is smaller and lighter than the 60D, which in turn is smaller and lighter than the 7D. Go to a store and hold them to get a better feel for their size, weight, and feel. The 60D and 7D "feel" like the more substantial cameras that they are. A nice improvement of the T3i is that its hand grip area has been modified, and has a different feel than that of the T2i - the area where the thumb rests is contoured differently and has a nice channel for the thumb, which allows for a much more secure one-hand-grip of the camera.
AF Microadjustment: The 7D has this feature, the 60D and T3i and T2i do not. This allows you to adjust the focus of each of your lenses in case any of them are slightly front-focusing or back-focusing.
Locking Mode Dial: This is a new feature for a Canon dSLR, only on the 60D, that keeps the Mode dial from accidentally rotating. A nice touch.
Full HD video: Of course they all offer this capability. Note that this is not video for your kids' parties and soccer games. It does not have continuous autofocus while shooting, as a camcorder does. It is not designed for that kind of use, but rather for serious videographers who typically manually focus. You can adjust autofocus while shooting by pressing the shutter button or the AF button, but it may have a less than desired looking result and unless you are using an external microphone, the autofocusing sound will be picked up. The T3i has the digital zoom feature in video, which allows for nice smooth zooms while filming.
Flash Sync: the 60D and T3i do not have a PC sync flash socket to plug in PC sync cords for off camera flash use. The 7D has this. However, they all offer wireless remote flash capability with the built in flash as a commander.
Ease of operation: While beginners may find all the buttons, controls, and menus of any dSLR difficult and confusing at first, the menus and controls of the T3i and T2i are pretty basic and simple to learn for a dedicated user. The additional controls and menus of the 7D and 60D are all quite intelligently designed, intuitive, and straightforward for the more advanced user. Kayak Racks - kayak rack, kayak storage rack
This is a really nice 2 kayak storage rack that's free standing. It was easy for one person to assemble and is very sturdy.
Free standing racks seem hard to find, so I was excited to get this one. The price was very competitive and
even offered free shipping! I'm very pleased with it. SpareHand Laguna Plus Dual Kayak Storage Rack
The product is fine. The distributor, in my case, Stoneman, seems to have some real quality problems in their shipping department. The round bar cross pieces were missing from my original shipment, so I couldn't assemble the rack. I called Stoneman and a week later received the square bar pieces, which I already had. Called Stoneman again and asked if they could overnight the correct parts since they had now screwed up twice. They refused. I finally received the correct parts. Time from order to receipt: three weeks.
When the shipment arrived there were issues with the screws but one phone call to customer service had this resolved quickly. After the replacement parts arrived assembly was very simple and the rack is great for two kayaks. I will buy from this company again based off there unbelievable customer service.
This storage rack is perfectly ideal for what I was looking for. Very easy to assemble, and my two wilderness 14' kayaks rest very nicely on this rack outside. It is quite sturdy, but I did put additionad wgt on the legs because the location is in a very wind area. I used 4x4 pressure treated 6' sections two on each side. Will take a northeastener to topple this rack. Thumbs up
Currently I only have one boat so I am not taking full advantage of this rack, but I love it. It is easy to move around and I can use either the lower arms with the boat tilted in or the upper rack to work on the boat or store items under it. - Kayak Racks - Kayak Storage Rack - Kayak Rack'

Cordless Phone Headset
Pros: Light and comfortable, very good microphone clarity, good earpiece sound.Con: Somewhat difficult to wear; no earpiece volume amplification and microphone mute button.I purchased a Plantronics MX153-M1 (for $22 at an family-run electronics store a few blocks away from J&R Music and Computer World), the version of the MX150 made specifically for Motorola phones - v60, v70, v120, T720 and later phones. The MX153-M1 adds a push-button towards the upper-middle of its cord that enables the headset wearer to dial the last-dialed number, use voice-activated dialing, answer calls, and end calls without touching the phone. The MX153-N1 and MX153-N3 are push-button versions of the MX150 for Nokia phones. The base MX150 itself does not have the push-button and associated functionality. The MX150's earbud is anchored to the wearer's ear by a soft rubber grip that wraps under and essentially clips the earlobe (pinna). It takes several seconds to fit the earbud and pivot the microphone boom to their proper angles; this must be done each time the wearer puts on the headset. The disadvantage of this fitting requirement is that if you are not already wearing the headset when your phone starts ringing, you are better off answering your phone the old-fashion way. Once fitted however, the MX150 is light and comfortable to point of being unnoticeable. The MX150's FlexGrip design (shared by the Plantronics MX100 family) is better than ear-loop designs that can get in the way of eyeglasses and sunglasses; headband designs that can pull on the wearer's hair; and classic earbud designs that can easily fall off. People with earrings may not be comfortable with the MX150 because of its grip on the ear's pinna. In contrast to generic headset microphones that often make the wearer sound distant, the MX150's microphone performance is very good and makes the wearer sound clear and close to the phone. The noice-cancelling microphone does a good job of eliminating ambient noise - even inside a moving New York City subway car. The MX150 family does not have microphone volume control and microphone mute functions.Earpiece performance is good. The MX150 lacks earpiece volume control, relying instead on the phone's volume control functions. As with any headset design lacking self-powered earpiece volume amplification, ambient noise may be an issue in open or noisy environments, e.g. a busy New York City street or subway car. The MX150's price competition is with the Jabra ProBoom. The latter has battery-powered earpiece volume amplification, but consumers should carefully weigh this great advantage against the MX150's fit and weight benefits. The two competitors also differ in push-button support. The MX150 family has push-button models for Motorola and Nokia phones, while the ProBoom family has push-button models for Nokia and Samsung phones.Of the three Plantronics headsets that I have purchased (the other two being the M175 and M100), the MX153-M1 is the best one that I have yet used. Plantronics MX150 Flexible Boom Headset with 2.5 mm Plug
This headset is light and comfortable and works very well with most cell phones. Unfortunately, they always seem to die on me. I've gone through five MX150s in the last eight months. I buy them in pairs now so I always have a backup. I can't find anything I like better, so I keep going down this road, but be prepared for problems if you are a heavy user. Also, do not buy this headset if you are looking to use it with a Uniden TRU8885 Cordless Phone. You will have significant outbound volume problems.
Hey. This is a perfect little headset. I've had it for a year now. People can't tell I'm on a cell phone. Excellent at blocking outside noise, and I can hear everything crystal clear on the receiving end. Great Buy.
I liked this headset so much that I found myself unplugging it and plugging it in again, all the time- as I moved it from cell phone to home phone and back again (in and out of my car!). So now I have two (and despite much abuse, the first one is still working great after two years!) It took me a while to get used to it at first, I hated the over the ear thing when I first tried it (I have small ears) but then I loved it because the sound is just so darn good, as is the noise cancelling. The earbud is a bit too big (as mentioned in other reviews) but I find that to be true now of ALL earbuds- someone told me that the reason you can't find little bitty earbuds that go further in the ear canals like they used to when I was a kid, is because of fear of lawsuits due to hearing loss. In other words, its better for your eardrums to not be able to shove an earbud in so far. Darn! This is a great headset, but may take a little getting used to- then you will be hooked!
I am constantly impressed by how much sound quality I both receive and give to my callers when I use this product. I was skeptical when I saw how cheap it was, but when I started using it I found it to be very clear and comfortable. I have had many late night chats with friends and have never had a problem with it hurting.
My friend has one similar that has a connect/disconnect button on the wire, and the lack of this feature is the main reason I give it 4 stars. Still, if you want something that is cheap, functional, and comfortable.... this is the headset for you.'

Bostitch Nail Gun - nailer, b000f3i5zy
I've had this for about a year and am very happy with it. I've used it for roof and wall framing, sheathing, and siding. It has good power, light, comfortable, anti-slip pads, and the depth adjustment is very convenient, just push a button on the nosepiece and it moves in and out, very nice when you go from framing with 16d to sheathing with 10d so you don't drive through the plywood/OSB (face it, if you needed to get a tool to adjust the depth, you wouldn't do it!). This feature is also nice when you are doing exterior trim and siding so you don't just blow through the material (it comes with a rubber cover to cover up the toenailing teeth for finer work). But the real beauty of this nailer is that it converts to a positive placement gun. Push the same button that lowers the nose for depth adjustment and you pull the whole nose out and replace it with a positive placement nosepiece that allows you to shoot teco nails in metal connectors. (I'll agree with other reviewers that these nails are difficult to find, I got the sku from Stanley's webpage and did a special order at Lowes, price was fine, to dispel another reviewer's rant). With todays building codes, they want metal connectors on everything, I have joist hangers, rafter hangers (LSSU2110) and holddowns, this nailer really made this work bearable. There are better dedicated framing nailers (this doesn't have a bump trigger option) and positive placement nailers (this is big and sometimes can't reach in a corner) but this is a real nice combo unit if you want one that can do both. I have a gripe that it doesn't come with a bag/case, but I guess you can buy one separate. I also attached a rafter hook to mine available here at Amazon: Toolhangers Unlimited 21087T, it says it is for a wormdrive saw but it fits this nailer fine. Bostitch N88RH-2MCN Industrial High-Powered Round Head Framing Nailer and Metal Connector
After using this nailer on numerous projects, I can now submit what I feel is an objective review of this product and hopefully dispel some of the incorrect information that is contained in other reviews. Based solely on some of the reviews located here, I hesitated for quite awhile on purchasing this tool...but now I am very pleased that I chose to do enough research to be fully confident in my purchase.
I am by no means a full-time professional framer, but I do enough construction work to separate junk tools from the good stuff. Since purchasing this gun few months ago I have sent around 50,000 framing and sheathing nails through it along with 10,000 metal connecting nails (MCN). In those 60k or so nails, I have had 0 - yes ZERO - misfires. I have has basically no maintenance out of the ordinary on this nailer. Additionally, this is a very fast and easy nailer to reload and to change from a framer to a MC tip (this can be done in under 10 seconds). The metal connecting ability of this tool is 'phenomenal'. It literally cuts the amount of time required by ...well I don't know exactly, but it's a lot ... and produces a superior result to hand done clips.
The weighting and balance does take a little getting used to if you are not familiar with an N88 style nailer, and can be a little tiring compared to some of the substantially lighter Hitachi's I have used. This is especially true when using it as a metal connector as much of the time you are working above your head. This issue is minor enough that I do not feel that it should factor into a person's decision to purchase this tool.
Other reviewers complaints seem to fall into three categories: durability, lack of a bump or contact trip trigger, and the availability of MC nails. As for the first issue - durability - I can only assume that they have received "lemon" nailers or have unnecessarily abused them. I know a few contractors/professionals that only use Bostitch nailers because of the company's long term reliability. In fact, I was working with a professional building a garage recently who was using a Bostitch N88WWB (the WWB and the RH mechanically similar tools) that he has had for a few years with very few problems. He was blown away by the versatility of the RH and will be buying one soon. He never could justify the expense of a dedicated metal connecting nailer and he needs to change nailers to meet many new local codes that ban clipped headed nails in framing.
Bostitch does not officially support using a bump trigger with this nailer, probably because some "genius" would use it while shooting MC nails. Though, as another reviewer noted, the contact trigger is available through Bostitch parts if you look under the N88RH (not 2MCN). The part you are looking for is CNTK1. Unfortunately, this part is not currently available through Amazon.com.
Finally onto the availability of the connector nails. I do feel that it is unfortunate that Amazon.com does not stock any of these nails, but I have come to understand that Bostitch makes it hard for all retailers to get their hands on them. With a little Internet searching they are definitely findable. Also, make certain you plan ahead and give yourself enough time to receive the nails, the best source I have found still takes around a week to deliver. As other reviews have noted, all of the big box retailers can special order them for you, though they probably will have no clue what you are talking about, just ask to see their Bostitch price sheet and look for the section that has model numbers that start RH-MC and you will be set.
Sorry for being so long winded, but I really feel that this is a superb tool that gotten a bad rap. It is unfortunate that it is not easier to find this information, which is certainly a fault of Bostitch. It becomes even more baffling when you take into account how much marketing Bostitch is putting behind this nailer.
I just bought this as my first nail gun and I'm really happy with it so far. Seems great as a framing nailer. The 21/22 deg nails are cheap and easy to get. But it truely shines as a metal connector gun. True, the 0.148 x 1.5" nails are tricky to find (I had to order them through Numax) and they are pricey, but you save so much time that it is worth it. It is easy to align the tool and it sinks the nails beautifully. Even if you don't do that much with metal connectors I don't know why you wouldn't get this nailer over other full head framing nailers. It makes joist hangers almost fun. - B000f3i5zy - Nailer - Bostich - Bostitch Nail Gun'

Mandy Cricket - kindle 3, kindle 3 covers
I ordered this accessory kit for my Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device on a whim. I already have the Kindle Leather Cover, but thought it might be handy to have some additional choices. So after receiving it and testing out everything here is what I can say about it all:
~ The Black, White, Blue & Purple Skins all fit very well and have the appropriate cut-outs. I like the feel of them and can see how these might be preferred to the leather case in some situations. Also because of the cut-outs you can still attach it to your regular Kindle case with the skin on.
~ Auto Car Charger works well and came in handy recently when I realized on the way to work that my battery was dead.
~ Home Wall Charger works just as well as the original one that came with my Kindle.
~ Screen protectors look like they fit just fine, but I don't feel a need to cover my screen so I haven't used them.
~ USB data cable worked for transferring a couple MP3 songs onto my Kindle.
~ Headphones although not the most comfortable ones, sounded good enough for occasional use.
When you consider buying all of these accessories separate, you would expect to pay much more for them which is what really sold me on it. I think this would make an excellent gift for the Kindle owner whether that is yourself or someone else. CrazyOnDigital Kindle 3 3G 3rd Generation Essential Accessory Kit. Bonus wristband inlcuded
I ordered this with a new Kindle for the purple skin, because it was cheaper than buying a full Kindle cover. Most of the other items are unnecessary: a USB cable and wall charger already come with the Kindle, and it has a built-in speaker, so the headphones are not required. As for a car charger, are you going to be reading books while you drive? Finally, the skins themselves have two of the page-turn arrows pointing the wrong way. You just have to ignore them and remember that the big button goes forward and the little button goes backward.
I bought this because it is cheaper than buying them all separately. Since I was the first to buy a kindle where I work, I gave/sold 3 of the covers since I only needed one (they do fit nice over the K-3, gives variety of colors, and keeps the K-3 from slipping from your hand). The bracelet was not necessary, the earphones are cheaply made, and I didn't want the screen protector on it (too hard to read, put on). Out of all that packaged deal I probably would only order a car charger, the rest is what you personally feel you want/need. I don't use my cover anymore because I bought a nice leather cover from Splash, but it is handy to put on if I'm not taking the K-3 anywhere. But since I'm a person that likes 2 of almost everything, I kept most of what was in this package! - Kindle 3 - Value - Skins - Kindle 3 Covers'

Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth Car Kit - jabra, car speakerphone
Saw the reviews here - many are just plain incorrect, very likely they did not bother to read the manual, which as the quickstart guide says 'the full version is online at jabra'.
A few examples:
Voice dialing: If your phone has this capability - you can voice dial no problem: Record the voiceprint for a number (via your phones feature), preferably while using the speakerphone so its better matched, then to use it 'press' - hold button for approx 1sec - (as opposed to tap, which is means 'quick click") the main answer button then say name - works fine, even with an old moto razr phone.
Power: Again, RTM - to save power (a great feature), the speakerphone sleeps after 10 minutes: To wake up, rather than cycle the less handy power switch, simply tap the main answer button
Bright lights: There is a way to go into night mode: "Press FM and volume up button simultaneously when the speakerphone is on. The light will then turn off. You can turn the lights back on with another press."
C'mon folks, take the two minutes to read the actual manual.
As for the rest - I've only had it a little while - the voice quality seems fine, the FM works great when the convertible top is down (Not often right now, even in CA) and the thing works quite well so far.
Bonus: The charger comes in two pieces so that you can use the USB to micro USB cable with your computer to charge it if you want. Conversely, I can now charge my old razr with by plugging in my USB to mini USB into its lighter adapter. Handy.
No affiliation with jabra - just picky about uninformed reviews Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth Car Kit, Speakerphone [Retail Packaging]
I love Bluetooth but was never really satisfied with the audio quality of my Bluetooth headset when driving so I thought I would try buying a device that was specifically designed to let you take calls in a vehicle. This is a really cool product! It does all the basic stuff you would expect in terms of taking phone calls but has the added feature of an FM transmitter so you can use your car speakers instead of the smaller built-in speaker. Now incoming call volume level is never an issue. If your car radio has RDS (I forget what it stands for but if you see artist and song title when listening to a radio station then you have it) you can see the incoming phone number on your radio display. Cooler still is that it supports Bluetooth stereo so I can stream music directly from my phone (or iPod Touch) and listen to it on my car speakers. The Cruiser has convenient PLAY/PAUSE and SKIP Forward/Back buttons too. If you are streaming music and you get an incoming call, the music is automatically paused until you hang up. Last but not least, the Cruiser can be connected to two phones AT THE SAME TIME. This is very convenient since I have to carry around my work phone and personal phone all the time. No longer do I need to decide which of my phones to have connected. Nice work Jabra!
I've had the Cruiser for less than a week. So far, it's been an excellent experience. I use it paired with an iphone for telephone conversation as well as for listening to music & podcasts in the car. I have it clipped to my visor directly in front of me.
Pluses --
- Voice guided pairing was a snap. I like the voice announcements in general, telling you what mode it is in, etc.
- Very good sound quality and noise rejection, even in a small sports car. It's not perfect, but works at least as well as any BT headset that I've owned. The people I call never complain about my voice quality, and I'd give it about an 8/10 for incoming call sound quality.
- FM transmitter works very well ... as well or better than the dedicated "beamers" I've had. I use it mostly in this mode, listening to calls & music through the car stereo speakers. Music sounds good. It's easy to tune FM frequencies to a blank spot, although you really can't do it while driving.
Minuses --
- none really that I've found
Too early to tell --
- battery life
- haven't tried simultaneously connecting to two devices, as advertised
Thumbs up.
I have an iPhone, an amazing miniature, hand-held computer and basically a pretty bad phone. Probably half the blame on the iPhone belongs to AT&T and their spotty service, but that's another story. When hand-held, the iPhone works moderately well, however, the speakerphone aspect of it sucks big-time. Horrible!
I was tired of wearing a bluetooth device in my ear when driving, fearing I'd loose it, requiring a charge every three days, and concerned over unknown long-term medical side-effects from such a device.
When looking at various bluetooth ear devices at the local Apple store, one of the employees suggested I check this Jabra Cruiser device out. He said they carried it at the Apple store for about two months, then they just stopped carrying it. He told me the general feedback he got from Apple customers regarding the device was terrific - great sound quality, clarity, even the ability to broadcast via your FM capacity in your auto the incoming calls as well as music from your phone device.
While you give up the portability of a bluetooth headset with this visor clip-on speakerphone, the ease of use and function I believe vastly outweighs the issue of portability. The clarity is completely there, I've been using mine for three weeks on a daily basis and have had yet to re-charge it. It's broadcast distance is perhaps a problem in that you can walk away from your vehicle, enter a store and be 100 feet away and yet it holds the connection with your phone. I have discovered that when I pull into my garage at home, I need to turn off the unit, otherwise it will seize the calls when I'm at home unless I disable the bluetooth function on my iPhone. It's now become a habit when I enter my car in the morning to turn on the Cruiser, and within seconds I hear the synthetic voice say "connected". When I arrive home, I now automatically turn it off when entering the garage, and it says, "powered off".
I am completely satisfied with this product - it's a whole lot cheaper than purchasing a new vehicle with bluetooth built in... - Fm Transmitter - Bluetooth - Jabra - Car Speakerphone'

Portable Digital Lcd Tv - portable digital tv, portable digital lcd tv
I purchased this little TV as a gift for my wife. It was easy to set up. Directions were good. Exercise a little caution when extending and retracting the antenna. It's a little tricky and you could easily break it if you force it the wrong way. I live outside of Philadelhia, PA so there are a several local stations which the TV setup program found. The picture clarity is excelent, and especially so on HD channels. The sound is like listening to an old fashiond cheap ear bud. If you can live with the sound it seems to be a great little TV. It has been plugged in since a few days after Christmas and my wife is happy with it except for the sound. VIZIO VMB070 7 - Inch Edge Lit Razor LED LCD Portable TV
This Vizio 7" TV has a fabulous picture, is easy to set up, is big enough for the big game, but small enough for sneaking it into work without attracting too much attention. It comes with an adapter cable for hooking it to cable TV or an outside antenna, AC adapter, slip case, full feature remote, and a cable to allow hook up to an external video source like a DVD player. Two faults, however. One - forget about watching broadcast TV while in a moving vehicle (that one is the fault of the new Digital TV broadcasting standards, not the fault of the Vizio). Two, the audio leaves room for improvement. No doubt, compromises must be made to shove so much TV into such a small package, and connecting a cheap pair of multimedia speakers will make the audio A-1. Also, I wish the slip case had pouches for the remote control and the power adapter, but the positives of this unit make my complaints seem petty. In a word, you'll love this little set!
My first thought after opening the box was WOW. Excellent design, the unit looks impressive, sleek design and definitely nicer than any other 7 inch TV on the market.
Then I turned the TV on ....
The picture looks GREAT ... BUT it has red pixels on the screen that won't change colors. Though the red pixels get lost sometimes if the program is colorful, they are still there. I looked on the quick start guide only to find the following disclaimer:
" Your TV is precision -manufactured .... However, sometimes individual pixels may not display. This is common in this type of product and DOES NOT mean your TV is defective" I am a Manufacturing Engineer for a touch sensor company... this product would never have shipped !
The other drawback are the tinny sounding speakers.... they sound like the designer forgot to incorporate any of the bass frequencies...
The unit looks great ... picture is awesome, but quality issues and sound quality need to be addressed !!!
The only other two models that should even be considered purchasing [AS OF 02/2011] are the Eviant brand or the Haire brand. After looking CLOSELY at the Eviant and Haire brand 7 inch lcd models. I decided upon this Vizio model and I'm thrilled with it's quality. This is the only model on the market that is LED back lit which makes the picture very bright with a rich black level and amazing color.. Unlike alot of reviews about other models only receiving 1-2 channels with the units built in antenna.. I was able to pick up at least 12 channels right out of the box with the built in antenna while at my residence which is 30 miles south of a major city where "cable" is still not available.. [Have Dish Network}. The unit has a sleek look to it and feels durable. The remote control is slim and loaded with features of a full size piece. The sound could be a little better, but it does NOT detract in any way from your ability to enjoy watching a program. There is a flip out kick-stand on back of unit that works terrific at positioning the tv at an appropriate viewing angle.A soft neoprene slip cover is included which works nicely to store the tv and should reasonably protect the item. The set up is quick and easy and the instruction book is very user friendly for those of you afraid of electronics. It has most of the conventional connectors[SORRY,NO HDMI INPUT]to hook up dvd, video game systems and a USB input so you can use it as a digital photo frame as well. Resolution is 800x480 which is much better than other portables of this size.. This Vizio model may be a few dollars more than some other brands out there, but you get what you pay for.. Mine was only $98.00 at time of purchase. First saw this unit at Sam's Club for $129.00 and decided to wait and saved some money. Overall.. Try to imagine a full size lcd/led television.. shrunk down to fit in the palm of your hand. Thank you to Vizio for doing it right.I do wish that Vizio would have included a car charger.. Now I hope SONY will get into the compact/portable line[crosses fingers]..If you are looking for a portable 7 inch lcd.. your search is over.
I gave this as a gift to someone this Christmas, and have to say I was very impressed with this product. It truly is only about 1" thick, it is perfectly sized for a miniature television, and user friendly right out of the box, in my opinion. I was blown away by the picture quality, and its ability to pick up HD channels. This mini tv blows all the other mini tvs out of the water, and no doubt represents the style and compactness of future products - vizio is simply 8 steps ahead of everyone else. I personally don't think the sound is all that bad. To me, the vizio's sound is far better than laptop speakers (as long as you're not talking about a special entertainment laptop etc), but of course not as great as you'd get on a 'real' tv. But I find no problem with that, and neither did the person receiving this gift. The tv comes with a user-friendly user guide, as well as a neat kind of 'wetsuit' type of cover for it, that zips closed around the entire unit. It also comes with the standard cables/plugs etc. Its remote is nice and easy to use, and overall the entire tv just has a very high quality feel to it.
A few tips... Definitely don't skip reading the directions in the startup guide on this one. They are very short, but very particular. From what I understand (based on watching the person who received my gift start it up) in order to turn on the tv for the first time, you first must locate the 'official' on-off switch which is located BENEATH the antenna paddle located on the side of the unit. You have to swing out the antenna paddle (which is easy to do), as if you're accessing the antenna, and then under that is a switch that has to be put to On. Then, you have to press the secondary power button located at the top of the unit. Then, you have to power on the television *using the remote*. Odd startup, but that's what seemed to be required for first time use. After that, all you need is to press the 'secondary' power button or power it on with the remote. But during first use, all three power buttons have to be activated.
The person I gave this to hasn't stopped raving about the TV, and it's been several weeks. They love being able to watch tv on their lunchbreak, etc., or at the airport, what have you. It's light but not cheap-feeling, and has a very sleek looking exterior.
A note to Toy Fuzz, whom I bought the product from via Amazon, although I got the item quickly and appreciated the fast shipping time, they need to pack the item better. The item was sent in a box bigger than the Vizio box, which would have been ok if there had been some packaging filler used, to secure the item in the box - but there was not. As shipped, the item rattled around in the bigger shipping box its entire trip - not a great way to send out electronics in my humble opinion. Some shredded paper, plastic bags of air, anything could do the trick. - Portable Digital Lcd Tv - Emergency Tv - Portable Digital Tv - Portable Tv'

Eyeglass Lens Cleaner - microfiber cloth, laptop accessories
I bought this to clean my LCD monitor because fingerprints highly annoy me, but I use it to clean and dust everything around because it does such a great job dry without cleaners or anything and so it takes just a few seconds. Cleans lenses, monitors, surfaces, etc. with no scratches. It really holds on to dust and dirt. Wash it every once in a while, especially if you clean up particularly abrasive dust for some reason. Shaking it out outside works fairly well for regular dust, too, and lets you know how effective the thing is. 3M 9027 High Performance Cloth
This product is great. I use it to clean off my LCD monitor because I hate fingerprints or dust on my screen. One wipe and it is gone. You don't need to use any cleaner unless there is something on the screen like a water spot. I am glad that I bought this.
I have more than one of these and I use it for prescription glasses, LCD monitors, notebook computers, and HDTV televisions. It does a superb job of cleaning these items without harm or scratching these sensitive surfaces.
I have only tried it a few times but so far it seems to rock. We were searching for a good microfiber and it almost seems that 3M stuff is just of very good quality. We are buying a couple more. Thanks.
I use this cloth to clean my eyeglasses ever since I needed new lenses that are quite strong; using a soft cloth always left a type of residue that made it look as if my lenses had fogged up! The cloth is indeed washable many times over; it doesn't fall to pieces in the wash; and I really like that I can use this same cloth to clean my LCD monitor and my digital camera lens. Amazingly enough, there's no need for this cloth to be moistened before you use it--it really does the job as it is, dry and with a gentle swipe across the surface that you wish to clean.
My only caveat is that when you use this to clean anything you might want to first blow or gently brush off heavier particles of dirt or dust. That way you avoid making any marks on the lens after you use this cloth to clean something. Another reviewer notes that if you have a water spot you may need to apply a little bit of cleaner before using this cloth.
I recommend this product.
This is a great product for generally a lower price than similar products. Its a good size and a good quality. I use it for my laptop and flat screen tv and it works great at getting dust and finger prints off without any water or anything.
I cant even count how many of these i have bought. Not because i had to replace them because they did not last long but because everyone i know ends up wanting one of them. safe to use on everything. reuseable. cant beat it.
This is a great cleaning cloth for getting your PC monitor, cell phone screen, and TV screen clean without using sprays. It is especially useful for cleaning the TV, where regular cloths just seem to move the dust that accumulates there around. This cloth actually attracts and holds the dust, making the cleaning go much quicker. And when it gets too dirty, just toss it in the laundry!
I highly recommend this product! - Eyeglass Lens Cleaner - Screen Cleaner - Microfiber Cloth - Laptop Accessories'
