Good Controller
The Komodo Shockwave Wireless controller for Wii and Gamecube does everything it says it will. It's wireless, has all the standard Gamecube controls, and it's cheap. It works well with the Wii, I can't attest to the Gamecube. It's not licensed by Nintendo, but that doesn't make it bad, it just means that the manufacturer didn't fork over a bunch of cash to Nintendo to use their logo. That is why it's cheap.
I used the controller and one set of generic batteries to play all the way through The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker with 100% completion (having never played it before, I had to explore to get everything). The LED started flashing just before finishing, this indicator means the batteries are getting lower and rumble features can't be maintained but the controls themselves lasted through Ganondorf's end. Personally I considered it to be fair battery life considering the length of Zelda games and how many mini games there are to perfect.
There is one flaw. I have never played a Gamecube before so I can't compare to the original, but compared to my XBOX 360 controller the analog stick is just a little hyper sensitive. This is especially annoying when trying to aim the bow, boomerang, grappling hook or hook shot in Wind Waker. It's not to a point that it is unusable. It does adds an extra challenge, especially when aiming the tools quickly and accurately is important such as boss fights.
All in all it it's a pretty good product for the price, well worth it if you are only looking at catching up on a few Gamecube games you missed while you were off playing the last generation's top selling console. Komodo Shockwave Wireless White Controller for Wii and Gamecube
I really like this controller. It has a rumble feature that is good. You have to watch the red led, when it starts flashing, the rumble feature goes away but you can still use the controller (just no rumble) I would recommend this controller to y'all.'
