Bic Mechanical Pencils

Hi All,

Not much to be said about mechanical pencils...but this is a great 24 pack. I bought it for my son who goes through these things like water... Locally I found this pack for as high as 12.99 plus tax. Amazon has it for 8 bucks, no tax, and shipping is free....it was an easy decision.

The pencils come in many colors and are built well. The erasers are good as long as they stay on there and dont get torn off.

5/5 BIC Mechanical Pencil with Metallic Barrels, Medium Point (0.7 mm), 24 Pencils

I know there isn't much you can say about a mechanical pencil, but I have to say these are great. The main complaint I usually have with mechanical pencils is that the erasers are almost like an after thought...there because they should be, but with these, the erasers are really good! They are not too hard so that they would break, and they seem to last the right amount of time. Perhaps other manufacturers thought they were perfect and never needed the eraser, but Bic gets it that people make mistakes and need the eraser as much as the lead!

I live in a home where mechanical writing utensils are a big deal, and although my younger siblings prefer fancier mechanical pencils, I have yet to encounter pencils better than BIC mechanical pencils. They have a simple design, which prevents jamming (which often happens with more expensive pencils). They last an incredibly long time; I just refill pencils with more lead and replace erasers.

If you are a professional, you may want to invest in more expensive (and hopefully higher quality pencils)utensils. However, if you are like me, searching for low priced-high quality products for yourself or your kids, buy the BIC.

There's not much to say about mechanical pencils but I wanted to say that this pack is a great deal. You get 24 pencils for around $7.00 and I haven't found them cheaper anywhere else. My son goes through pencils like nothing which I don't really understand but I guess that's a child for you. Although these pencils aren't necessarily made to be refilled, they are refillable. I bought cap erasers to save the eraser on the pencil so that we can take it off and put more lead in them. They still get lost at times and old, worn pencils get thrown away but the since the pack is cheap enough, we will just buy another pack when needed. Also, the metallic color is great especially for a boy because there are no 'soft' colors in the pack.

My biggest pet peeve with cheap mechanical pencils is that they always tend to come with squeaky lead. Bic is a good company. I purchased this item when it went on sale for $6 which was a great deal, and the package comes with a good quantity. The only downside was the way it looked, I was expecting the pencils to be a bit shiny since the description was for metallic barrels, instead they looked kinda dull to me.

24 basic BIC mechanical pencils. I am a 24-year old college student and these pencils are perfect for my needs. Despite the metallic name, they do not look glittery at all. I would classify them more as bold/deep colors. But the most important thing is they use #2 lead and are medium thickness: 0.7mm. I recommend them wholeheartedly, especially at this price.

The BIC MECHANICAL PENCIL 24-PACK is a great value and a great little writing instrument. I purchased these for my husband, who is a crossword puzzle freak - he's always losing his pencils, or looking for a sharpener. This was the perfect solution. We bring a bunch on vacation with us, keep a few in the car, and I stash a few more away in drawers around the house where he's sure to find them.

They're easy to write with, the lead is smooth, and the erasers are great - that's a big deal for crossword puzzles! The colors are cool, too.

You can't go wrong with these - at around 33 cents each, this is probably one of the best deals on the planet!'
